i've got a vague idea for a gen longfic sequel-ish to ATSD & that "back to the 2nd dimension" ep from s4 where 2D doof, charlene, and vanessa escape with a cyborg peter still under mind control to regain control of their tri-state area and the next (charlene claiming that in their "divorce", she should really get her own tri-state area, obviously)

unfortunately the only concrete scene i have in my head rn is some situation in which 2D doof has to choose between saving his daughter and something time-sensitive that will further his Evil Plans (TM) and he ultimately chooses evil over vanessa.

1D doof, who is nearby for as-of-yet undetermined reasons, has a perfect opportunity to strike but gives it up to save his not-daughter.

other ideas i wanna implement:

for the longest time, they dont hear from heinz/charlene/vanessa at all. until one day 2D baljeet manages to intercept communication from vanessa doofenshmirtz to someone in danville, confirming charlene/heinz's intention to invade the first dimension as well. more importantly, this means there must be some kind of traitor in their midst (dun dun dun - this is like the only plot thread i had planned out tbh lol)

the resistance/reformed owca wants to head off the doofenshmirtzes' attack on the first dimension except of course everyone except owca had their memory wiped of that day so they run into problems almost instantly bc they dont know about the mind wipe

in the first dimension it's post-s4 and doof is a science teacher. everything in his life is going well!

not.

he gets kidnapped by 2D monogram & some of the firestorm girls, is VERY confused. the resistance quickly realizes he has no memory of their dimension

meanwhile at the FF household perry has to intercept 2D pnf + platyborg before they descend on his unsuspecting owners for help. drags them down to his lair, where apparently the other 2D animal agents + 2D carl have already been talking to 1D monogram & carl finds out about the second team that went for 1D doof. runs off to go rescue him bc god damn it why is this his life

2D doofs have a Plan to make sure no resistance can rise up against them again. it is a very Horrifying and Irreversible Plan.

2D candace is still officially "retired" until the resistance has concrete plans in place for retaliation & containing the doofenshmirtz family

2D stacy was killed by normbots before the events of ATSD - inspiration for 2D candace to end up leader of the resistance. 2D candace gets to meet 1D stacy at some point :)

also we finally go somewhere with that "stacy knows perry's secret" thing since perry is adamant about keeping the flynn-fletchers away from this mess lest monogram try to relocate him. again. so stacy is on "distract your bff and the kids duty"

Finally we have the semi aquatic egg laying mammal of action in fez, the Fez Boi himself, Fez Perry the Fez Platypus aka Agent FezP!

Physical Appearance: Fez Perry is a greenish teal male platypus with yellow tinged tangerine webbing only on his back feet(odd traits that platypuses outside of Danville don’t have) He also has three black hairs on his head, a low long salmon orange beaver tail, deep dark brown eyes in an unnatural walleyed position making him look mindlessly stupid and derpy as a pet, and a duck bill that matches his webbing color. Under his fur, he wears the amulet of Juatchadoon, a siren pendant, and he mainly wears a fez on his head as Agent FezP. FezP also wears a fedora on his head but he wears it on underneath of his fez. Around his arm, he wears a light teal turtle bracelet which is his miraculous in camouflage mode.

This is seen from the fact that he brought backup dancers to a long-lost temple and when he was dancing. He also seems loyal enough to wear a fez even though he wasn't in Egypt. He does have a difficult relationship with Perry but sometimes they get along with the rest of his brothers and sisters. As Agent FezP, he is proud of his abilities as a fez platypus and wants to prove himself to Perry that he can be a good secret agent for the O.W.C.A. As a dream demon, he can be manipulative and he is always sassy in order to get what he wants. When he’s making a deal with someone, his greenish teal hand starts burning with light teal flames. As a siren, he plays with someone’s emotions and he’s ready to show off his singing voice and feeds on the positivity around him.

thank you for sending this :’) I’m gonna do this in chronological order and not as, like, a ranking, because otherwise I’m sure I’ll forget some. also of course I like ALL episodes of PnF except Act Your Age, these are just ones that stand out to me and that I go out of my way to rewatch

Mom’s Birthday

It’s underrated, but I love this one a lot because it shows how Candace can sometimes feel insecure because of just how great her brothers are and how grand their projects are, and then of course also shows that the brothers love their big sister and always want to include her and give her a chance to shine. I always like when Candace is written as more than just a foil to her brothers and as her own independent character.

Dude, We’re Getting the Band Back Together

Pretty much the perfect PnF episode in my opinion! Lots of familial/sibling love, Candace working together with the boys on a plan, FOUR great songs, “not yet, Ferb”, and our introduction to Love Händel who I adore.

Phineas and Ferb: Summer Belongs to You!

Specials totally count, right? Anyway, every character is so great in this. It’s one of the only times we see Phineas lose his optimism in the series, and his friends come together to help finish their plan and help him regain his hope. Canderemy becomes 100% canon, Ferb’s “sometimes, you have to meet the people you love halfway” quote is wonderful, and the final song just pulls everything together. “I can’t imagine having better little brothers” :’) If you haven’t noticed, episodes where the siblings all clearly love each other are faves of mine.

Ladies and Gentlemen, Meet Max Modem!

I WILL be honest, this one is on here mostly for the song being so amazing. But again, it’s another cute family-centric plot about not comparing yourself harshly to others and the people in your life loving you exactly the way you are. Also Lawrence and Linda’s relationship and just them as characters are SO underrated I will die on this hill.

Rollercoaster: the Musical!

Took a (relatively) bad episode and made it an amazing one. ALL the songs from this are amazing, they simply DO NOT miss. Also I love how Phineas is like “I dunno, I think all our friends would just go along with bursting into spontaneous song and dance” and then they do.

Where’s Perry?

PERRY GETS STRUCK BY THE GO-HOME-INATOR AND TELEPORTS TO AFRICA, WHERE PHINEAS AND FERB ARE, INSTEAD OF TO HIS PHYSICAL HOUSE, BECAUSE HIS FAMILY IS HIS HOME. I WILL NEVER GET OVER THAT!!!!! Episodes where Perry shows how much he loves the Flynn-Fletchers are also faves.

Purely on here for the ending, I love it so much. Ferb and Isabella’s friendship is criminally underrated.

Phineas and Ferb: Star Wars

A retelling of Episode IV, but Phineas and Ferb are there. They don’t replace the existing characters, the main story of Episode IV is going on in the background, it’s just that now Phineas and Ferb are also there. I maintain that this is a more enjoyable viewing experience than the actual Star Wars.

Tales from the Resistance: Back to the 2nd Dimension

I LOVE THE 2D CHARACTERS SO MUCH I WILL ALWAYS ADORE THE 2D CHARACTERS AND I WILL ALWAYS WANT MORE CONTENT OF THEM!!!!!! 2-Phineas and 2-Ferb learn what summer fun is, Perry the Platyborg gets to enjoy time with his family after being held captive and brainwashed for so long, and 2-Candace begins to overcome her PTSD. Amazing episode 10/10, things clearly aren’t perfect in the 2D yet because of the open ending, but they’re better than the old dystopia :’)

There’s my list!!!! Obviously non-exhaustive and I’m sure there’s still episodes I’m forgetting because I was just reading through an episode list and picking what stood out in my mind. Again, every episode except Act Your Age is great in one way or another, there isn’t really a “bad” Phineas and Ferb episode except Act Your Age.
