Percy Weasley & Sansa Stark Parallels
This post is going to be more for me than anything else, because I doubt many people are interested in this very specific topic, but I couldn't resist.
Percy & Sansa are two of my favorite characters in literature, and the more I started to think about it, the more I realized how much they have in common. I know that sounds strange, and don't get me wrong, there are some key differences (Sansa was definitely more of an innocent victim - the poor girl was only 11 years old), but they do actually have a lot of similarities as well!
I'm going to link some posts/metas about Percy, just in case someone wants to see extra support for my claims, because I feel like Sansa is a little bit more obvious/self-explanatory in canon.
Basics
They are both tall redheads (which doesn't mean anything, but it is a fun coincidence). 🙂
They are both unfairly hated by fandom because of the POV trap (Harry & Arya).
Personality
They are both feminine (see this post about Percy).
They both love reading, and neither of them are very athletic.
They were both naïve and trusted the wrong people because they didn't know any better. Unfortunately, they were both raised by their fathers to trust in something that wasn't trustworthy (the Ministry of Magic - see this post about Percy - & the idea that most men/knights are honorable).
They are both romantic in nature (Percy writing love letters & Sansa reading love stories). Interestingly enough, both of them are the first siblings in their families to be given a storyline that involves a romantic relationship/betrothal & yet both of their oldest brothers end up getting married first (which is not a bad thing; it's just an observation).
Family/Background
They were both the "perfect" child who had high expectations placed on them from a young age ("Sansa was a lady at three, always so courteous and eager to please."), yet they were also ignored the most because they were "easy" compared to their siblings (see this post on Percy's relationship with his mother).
This is why their acts of "rebellion" (Percy disowning his family & Sansa going to Cersei) were so unexpected. They were always so well-behaved until they finally felt pushed over the edge:
“What do we want to be prefects for?” said George, looking revolted at the very idea. “It’d take all the fun out of life.”  Ginny giggled.  “You want to set a better example for your sister!” snapped Mrs. Weasley.  “Ginny’s got other brothers to set her an example, Mother,” said Percy loftily.
suddenly changing to:
“He went completely berserk. He said — well, he said loads of terrible stuff... And he packed his bags the same night and left. He’s living here in London now.”
&
"It was for love," Sansa said in a rush. "Father wouldn't even give me leave to say farewell." She was the good girl, the obedient girl, but she had felt as wicked as Arya that morning, sneaking away from Septa Mordane, defying her lord father..."
They were both usually the odd one out with their siblings, who all had a closer bond with each other than with Percy/Sansa. Their siblings also looked down on their interests because they couldn't relate to them:
“We’re trying to standardize cauldron thickness. Some of these foreign imports are just a shade too thin — leakages have been increasing at a rate of almost three percent a year —” “That’ll change the world, that report will,” said Ron. “Front page of the Daily Prophet, I expect, cauldron leaks.” Percy went slightly pink.
&
Sansa would have sighed and shed a tear for true love, but Arya just thought it was stupid.
They were also the target of their siblings' pranks/mischief:
“I shudder to think what the state of my in-tray would be if I was away from work for five days.” “Yeah, someone might slip dragon dung in it again, eh, Perce?” said Fred. “That was a sample of fertilizer from Norway!” said Percy, going very red in the face. “It was nothing personal!” “It was,” Fred whispered to Harry as they got up from the table. “We sent it.”
&
"Arya started it," Sansa said quickly, anxious to have the first word. "She called me a liar and threw an orange at me and spoiled my dress, the ivory silk, the one Queen Cersei gave me when I was betrothed to Prince Joffrey."
They were both resented by their younger sibling(s), who each happen to be about 2 years younger than them (Fred and George & Arya):
"...we never had trouble like this from Bill or Charlie or Percy —” “Perfect Percy,” muttered Fred.
&
Sansa had the grace to blush. She blushed prettily. She did everything prettily, Arya thought with dull resentment.
Ironically enough, their parents usually let those siblings get away with a lot more than Percy or Sansa would have been allowed to get away with (see this post on Molly & Arthur's lack of discipline with the twins):
None of which stopped Arya, of course. One day she came back grinning her horsey grin, her hair all tangled and her clothes covered in mud, clutching a raggedy bunch of purple and green flowers for Father. Sansa kept hoping he would tell Arya to behave herself and act like the highborn lady she was supposed to be, but he never did, he only hugged her and thanked her for the flowers. That just made her worse.
Circumstances/Storylines
Their fathers failed them (though not on purpose) when they needed them most (Arthur yelled at Percy and accused him of spying instead of calmly helping Percy see that he was being used & Ned refused to explain why Sansa's betrothal was being called off). This directly led to their acts of rebellion.
As a result, they were both taken advantage of by people in power (Fudge & Cersei) and separated from their family. Initially, this is what they both thought they wanted (Percy chose to leave & Sansa wanted to remain in King's Landing with Joffrey instead of returning home), but they both ended up regretting it (after losing their innocence and naivety) and wanting their family back.
They were both young, and yet they were judged for not knowing something that even the adults didn't know (Percy didn't notice that his boss, Barty Sr., who he barely knew, was under the Imperious Curse, while Dumbledore failed to notice that his old friend was actually a Death Eater using a Polyjuice potion & Sansa thought that she could trust Cersei while Ned believed that he could trust Cersei enough to warn her to leave town without her retaliating against him).
While they were separated/alone, their mothers were really the only ones doing anything to try and get them back (Molly visited Percy & Catelyn freed Jaime).
They both had to play their part in politics under a corrupt government. They both originally wanted to be a part of that system (eventually becoming the Minister of Magic & eventually becoming the queen). They ended up realizing that the people in charge were not as noble and well-intentioned as they thought.
They learned to be more careful about who they trusted, and they adapted to survive (Percy in a Ministry controlled by Voldemort & Sansa with the threat of Cersei, Jeffrey, and Littlefinger).
They both lost a brother. 😭
He and Ron had both grabbed Hermione and pulled her to the floor, but Percy lay across Fred’s body, shielding it from further harm.
&
Robb had died at a wedding feast as well. It was Robb she wept for.
They both reconnected/made amends with the sibling(s) that initially resented them (Sansa and Arya will meet again and work things out in the books - fight me):
“I was a fool!” Percy roared, so loudly that Lupin nearly dropped his photograph. “I was an idiot, I was a pompous prat, I was a— a— ” “Ministry-loving, family-disowning, power-hungry moron.” said Fred. Percy swallowed. “Yes, I was!” “Well, you can’t say fairer that that,” said Fred, holding out his hand to Percy.
In Conclusion
I just found it interesting that two of my favorite characters - who seem very different - have so much in common. I'm sure that says something about me! 🤣😊

For the WIP ask meme, "Percy Rebels And Shit AU; last year, nodus tollens, outline (2022)"
Ok, so;
Percy Rebels And Shit AU is a collab fic series idea between me and @vivithefolle, set in a No Boy Who Lived AU of Harry Potter, where Harry himself was never born. It's in it's early stages, mostly of planning and brainstorming. But as you can tell by the title, it focuses less on Harry, you know, not existing, and more on the ramifications of Ginny's first year at Hogwarts without him.
As in, nobody with parsletongue hanging around to open the chamber.
We open at the close; the start of the fic is set post this alternate year two, wherein Ginny succumbs, Neville and Ron are memory botched by Lockheart, and Dumbledore is scrambling with his allies to combat the fact there are now two whole voldemorts wandering around.
Our focal character is Percy Weasley, because the main actual premise of this fic outside the like, setting exposition, is that Percy gets disillusioned with the Wizarding World status quo and ends up radicalised by a group of disestablishment-minded individuals - an awkward collection of people from all sides of ww political spectrums only weakly held together by the singular goal of removing the acting government. Some of them are total anarchists, some of them are blood purists, some of them are ww liberal, some of them are statute abolitionists, etc etc.
In a sense, PRAU is a combination of standard HP AU trope ideas (no/wrong boy who lived, voldemort returns early, rebellion against the corrupt ministry, etc) and sort of... twists them 180 to the left. Squints at 'em and interrogates them. Looks at them and says, okay, but what would that actually entail?
But it's not cynical.
The problem i have with most of these AUs is not how edgy they get, though that's kind of the point - a darker take - it's how little faith they have in our protagonists. The Weasley family always gets the short end of the stick, and I don't think that's fair. Me and viv are especially sour on the treatment of Ron, as prominent and loud members of his Defense Squad, lol. The collab part comes in that i'm godawful at writing the kind of... well, almost slice-of-life-esque stuff needed for the non-percy side of things; Viv is the primary writer for Ron's side of the story, while I'm doing Percy. Ron's side of the story is more about the hope, the humanity - sure, Harry might not be here, but he's not the be-all end-all. He's just one guy. There's a whole society of people who wouldn't put up with Voldemort's shit knocking around to lob his head of, you know? Vive la révolution, and all. Just 'cause Harry never existed doesn't mean all hope is lost. Just because Percy starts down a bad path doesn't mean he has to end that way. Just because Lockheart fucked over Ron and Neville doesn't mean they're useless now they've got memory problems - they're people. And where there's people, there's always hope. I don't know. I just don't like how.... pessimistic a lot of WBL/NBL AUs are. It seems antithetical to the point of the whole thing.
obviously the entire outline is unshareable for spoiler reasons, but as for 'last year' and 'nodus tollens';
last year - currently the only actually written part. It contains what will probably end up being the summary on ao3, if/when we get this finished enough to post it;
'Last year, Voldemort returned, in the form of Percy's defence professor. This year, Voldemort returned, in the form of his little sister. And yet, the Ministry does nothing.' When family members die, it can start you down a path there’s no returning from. Percy Weasley knows this better than most.
As for Nodus Tollens....
Nodus Tollens: “The feeling that the plot of your life doesn’t make sense any more.”
In your life, there are many choices you can make. These choices range from what you’ll eat for breakfast that morning, whether you’ll wear black or teal-tinged black or maybe even silver-tinged black that day, whether you’ll re-read your favourite book or find a new one in the library, whether you’ll talk with Mother or go on a mission or, as it stands right now, whether you will live, or whether you will die. Regulus has this choice, and he must make it.
>;).
(As you can probably tell, there's A Lot going on here - and a lot that will have to go into it before it's anywhere near ready to share. This'll be a slow one, and likely won't show up properly for a while yet.)
thank u very much for the ask!

Magical Buildings (HP Theory)
I have a theory regarding magical buildings in the Harry Potter universe. This is focused on Hogwarts and the Ministry of Magic specifically.
Basically, when a Headmaster or Minister swears into power, they are given the power of the building. This power allows them to apparate on the property, and create and get rid of rooms, such as classrooms in Hogwarts and offices at the Ministry. Now, what no one knows, or is seen as myth, is that if a Headmaster or Minister is not chosen, the building can choose its own leader, who is given the full powers of the building.
Part One of the Theory: The Founders. I believe that Hogwarts chose the founders, to be its leader, as the building was magical and needed a leader. The Founders were able to do many things, that Headmasters since have been unable to do or alter. Salazar Slytherin created the Chamber of Secrets, which no one had found or been able to alter since. Rowena Ravenclaw created the moving staircase network, which no one has been able to stop (and I’m sure someone has tried, that has got to get annoying). Helga Hufflepuff created the Room of Requirement.
Part Two of the Theory: Professor McGonagall as the appointed Headmistress of Hogwarts. This is based off of the movie, as I can’t remember if the events of the book are the same. So, when Snape leaves Hogwarts after the Order arrives, he has effectively abandoned Hogwarts, leaving it without a leader. And so, the school chooses Deputy Headmistress Professor McGonagall to be its new leader. This is why McGonagall is able to manipulate the statues at the school, and, I think, unconsciously create a battle ground within the school that allows for the Light to have an advantage.
Part Three of the Theory: Percy Weasley as Minister for Magic. Now remember, there is no official title that actually comes with this, it is not a publicly known title. It is just that magically, they are given the powers to control the buildings. So, when the Ministry of Magic building realises that its newest Minister, Pius Thicknesse, is under the imperious curse, the building recognises that it has no standing Minister (as a Minister probably as to be mentally capable). So, the Ministry elects Percy Weasley, who has been loyal to the Ministry, who believes in the capabilities of the Ministry itself, to be its new Minister. So, Percy uses his new powers to create tunnels and rooms within the Ministry, to help Ministry employees hide and escape.
Anyway if you have anything to add or alter, I would love to hear it!

in defense of the middle child
Percy Weasley. The prodigal son. The ‘villain’ of the Weasley family. The pompous older brother of Ron. And perhaps the sibling who can understand his youngest bother’s position the best.
I feel so sorry for Percy. His temperament is so different to his younger siblings to the point that it’s clear he doesn’t fit in with them. And we never get to see what it was like growing up with Head Boy Bill and Prefect/Quidditch Captain Charlie. We see how overshadowed Ron felt but Percy 100% felt the pressures of his brother’s shadows too.
Obviously, in OotP we see Percy separate from his family. As painful as it was for everyone involved this made sense. He had just made a monumental mistake when it came to Crouch. Something that had the potential to ruin his career forever. And he knew it. He's terrified because he'd just spent a year trying to prove himself (and thinking he was doing a good job) only for him to be worse off.
Then Voldemort came back with only Harry's word as evidence. The ministry made its position clear and Percy was left with a choice.
A. Join his family on something that (at this point) can't be proven and ruin his career (in the current climate).
B. Forge on his own path.
Meanwhile, his family is packing up shop and going headfirst into the Order. There's no room for dissent or doubt. The Weasleys love Harry and trust Dumbledore implicitly. But Percy isn't so sure. He's spent the last year trusting someone only to be proven so so wrong. He's confused and embarrassed about his blunder and honestly needs his parents’ (and siblings) support. But there's not time for that.
His (arguably valid) concerns about whether the wizard who is famously dead has come back to life, cause friction and the Weasleys deal with that the only way they know how: an all out screaming match. Things are said and are immediately regretted. Only, there's no time for regret because the Order needs them and they can no longer trust their son. Plus Percy isn't known for all-out shouting fights like his other siblings. I wouldn't doubt that this is the first fight he's ever had with his parents. Certainly in his adult life.
So he goes and they go. And for the next year, Percy is proven right. Voldemort doesn't announce himself. The Death Eaters don't announce themselves. Life rolls. Even when the fight at the Ministry happens and he's proven wrong, things don't really change. He's not in the danger that his family has been doomsday prepping for. Plus there's the matter of his pride.
To Percy, the war feels far away. Happening to others. (His family is ‘on the front lines' and not getting harmed). That is...until Bill is injured. I don't know that Percy heard about Bill straight away, but sometime that summer he did and he realized that it wasn't happening to other people. That his family was in danger. That maybe his family wasn't so crazy.
But now Dumbledore is dead and all around him, there's whispers about an uprising. And there's still matter of his pride and shame. He can't just show up at his brother's wedding. He has to prove that he was wrong and repent (just like he proved to the ministry he was wrong about Crouch). Before he can sort out what to say and how to apologize for what he's done, the ministry is taken over.
Now he can't just run to his family (who are all being watched). Not if he wants to survive under this new regime.
What if he goes back to his family and they don't take him in? Then he'll have nowhere to turn. So he keeps his head down. Perhaps he rebels within the ministry. (I love a good Percy hiding muggleborns story). But realistically he's trying to survive under an administration who knows exactly who he is and is watching his every move.
Things continue to escalate, but his family seems safe enough. Yes, Bill is injured. And so is George. Yes, Ginny is getting in trouble at school and yes, Ron "has spattergroit" but really, no one's been killed. They're all still okay. Alive. And then, suddenly....they're all gone. Without a trace.
Perhaps Percy gets word and flees too. But perhaps he doesn't and now he's under more questioning than ever and he just has to hold on, keep his head down and do his work. Any friend he's made is scared off by the Death Eaters quite literally breathing down his neck. Weeks he waits, not really knowing the fate of anyone he calls a brother, and then, long after Percy knows that he never should have spoken against the people who loved him, word finally comes that something's going down at Hogwarts. And this time he's not going to hesitate.

Friendly reminder that:
Tonks did nothing wrong. She just fell in love with a man. Stop bashing her because of your toxic puppyship that was never going to happen anyway.
The Weasleys—besides Molly—treated Percy like absolute shit, especially Fred and George. “Abandoning” your family because said family never acts like they care about you and never shows you the appreciation you deserve even after you got the job of your dreams is NOT a bad thing. Most of you hate him because you know damn well you’d do the exact same thing if you were in his shoes.
People who love Snape aren’t “Snape apologists,” you guys just can’t handle the fact that about 99% of your so-called arguments can be debunked by canon facts and quotes.
Cho Chang is not a “crybaby” or “weak.” She had just lost her wonderful boyfriend and was having a hard time dealing with her grief. Yes, playing with Harry’s feelings was wrong, but she was going through a lot of different emotions. She was just a hormonal 15/16 year old. You would all go crazy and call her heartless had she just immediately gotten over Cedric’s death.
Ron was not “abusive” to Hermione, he was a jerk to her sometimes and he’s wrong for that, but he always regretted it. If anything, it’s Hermione who’s abusive. She was the one who sent raging canaries (which were described as “golden bullets” btw) at him which left him bleeding, and punched him all over when he returned in DH. Had Ron been the one who did all this, you all would give him hell for that (and rightfully so).
Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.

Yeah that makes sense and I heard that British Corn Beef sandwich is salt-cured brisket of beef. Well that's at least what google says. So what other arguments do you think are unfair towards Molly and should be debunked?
Oh, that's what it is? Right.
Molly preferring Percy to the twins is wrong but she gets heavily bashed for it. I'm a single child so I wouldn't obviously know about middle child syndrome. There are families who prefer one kid over the other and it's very common.
The thing is, Percy gets bullied by Fred and George. Fred and George have each other's support; Percy doesn't. I know it's bad of Molly to have favouritism, in the end her greatest fears were all her children being dead, not just one.

i'm so glad we have you here as a voice of ron appreciation bc sometimes hp meta stuff just randomly takes a turn into "Ah Yes, Ron the Dumbass w/ Issues" (w/ a side of "romione is terrible bc they both need someone who Matches Their Temperament & Values More So They Don't Turn Into Molly & Arthur 2.0). today i saw a post w/ ppl thinking charlie would be a better bestie to harry if he and ron switched places (while ron would still be mediocre) and just. UGH. how do you think a roleswap wld work?
today i saw a post w/ ppl thinking charlie would be a better bestie to harry if he and ron switched places
Based on... what evidence?
Like... what do we know about Charlie?
Likes dragons, works in Romania... and that’s all.
We know so little about Charlie that the fandom itself can’t decide if he’s mellow and sweet-tempered or on the contrary as easily riled-up as the very dragons he cares for!
Of course Charlie “would be a better bestie to Harry” because you can literally headcanon him to be whoever you want, whatever you want, anyway you want! He’s nobody so you can tailor him into whatever you need him to be!
Fucking idiots.
A roleswap AU wouldn’t work, I think. Bill is... about as well-defined as a character as Charlie, and given that he’s the Weasley firstborn he’d probably be a bit neurotic and concerned with “setting an example” for his siblings. Adding Harry to his already huge pile of little siblings would be daunting for him.
Percy... ha ha ha ha no. We need an emotional caretaker to complete the Trio - Harry and Hermione cannot self-care for the life of them. Percy would just worsen it by adding another bookworm who’s obsessed with getting good grades and I could see him and Hermione clashing really badly over being the best in the class - let’s remember Hermione doesn’t take to being second-best too well either, especially in her fields of interest. It would become a competition between two overachievers very quickly and Harry would soon be lost in the shuffle. Anytime he’d try to ask for help Percy and Hermione would argue over the better course of action and would remain locked in a loop because both are too stubborn to admit defeat (see their attitudes in OOTP). Hermione thinks of herself as “the smart one”, because she can’t be “the pretty one” or “the athletic one”. Her identity as “the smart one” is the one thing she has to bolster her self-esteem. That’s why she doesn’t NEED a “partner as smart as her” because she will HATE IT! She needs someone who can help calm her down when she’s in over her head or make her feel valued as something that ISN’T “the smart one”.
Fred and George - YAY!! THE MARAUDEURS ARE BACK BABY!! WITHOUT A PETER TO BOOT!! OMG SO COOL AWESOME YAAAAY! ... aaaaaaand bye you’ve just lost Hermione. Oops. Yeah, with Fred and George in tow Harry would absolutely become Prongs 2.0 and go do illegal stuff and shit and Hermione... would NOT agree. At all. Fred and George would be able to convince Harry to do whatever stupid shit they want to do on account of there being two of them and Hermione would just be pushed away. You see AVPM, “Harry and Ron are cool jocks who only keep Hermione around for homework”? In such an AU it would be a reality. Of course you can pretend Fred or George would fall in love with Hermione blah blah yawn but let’s be honest: lol, no.
And Ginny... maybe it could work, but Harry would find himself all alone in the boy’s dorms. No Ron to talk to, no chess matches only the two of them, no Ron to wake him up when he has a nightmare. Neville is too shy and meek, Dean and Seamus make a pair, Harry would be an intruder. He might befriend Neville but poor Nev would have a hard time relaxing around him, especially in the first years.
So it’s Ron. It can only be Ron. And whoever hates it can soil their diaper all they want, it doesn’t change the fact that Harry and Hermione NEED Ron. Badly.
i'm so glad we have you here as a voice of ron appreciation
*bow* My pleasure!

If you can forgive Percy Weasley for abandoning his family for 3 years but you can’t forgive Ron for leaving the Horcrux hunt for a few months (due to being possessed by Voldemort and was trying to get back the whole time) then you really need to take a deeper look at yourself.
Btw I love Percy and his redemption in Deathly Hallows legit made me cry. But I cried so much more for Ron. I called @headcanonsandmore and was crying when I read that chapter. And then I cried when he came back and when he was terrified while Hermione was being tortured and so many more times. Bloody hell I love that man.

Second thank you, my header is what happen when you can't choose an icon and just put everyone in your header instead 🤭😂
Then percy weasley , well i love percy i think his character is really interesting and underrated : when you read the books you got the harry pov and you quickly thinks percy is boring but when you think of it with percy's pov he's just really not understood , think in a différent way than his siblings and parents and got différents goals than his familly doesn't understand and they mocked him for it also actually he's young when he got his job at the minister he made mistakes and apologized for it and yet many people of the harry potter fandom hates him and wish he was dead instead of fred so yes i defend him but basically it means i don't want people sending me percy hate 😅 and #percy defence squad because 1 it's sounds good 😂 2 i already used ''#protect'' for lena luthor 😂
Also i headcanon percy as autistic

your fave character from hp for the character ask?
the only problem with this is i dont have just one favourite character from hp. so let’s say... percy weasley
i) sexuality headcanon: bisexual as fuck.
ii) otp: percy weasley/oliver wood. i love these two so much, i mean. they’re just both so obsessed about their passions. percy will be ranting about a paper he needs to do to oliver and oliver will be ranting about a specific quidditch move he needs wants to master to percy, and neither will be listening to other it seems (until the next week at breakfast oliver asks what percy got on the paper, and after the next quidditch game percy comments to oliver he noticed he’d used that move he was talking about).
iii) brotp: since i forever hold perciver as canon, at least in hogwarts, i think percy and penelope clearwater were pretty good chums. like they’re both prefects with high ambitions, and i love the image of tall gangling 15-year-old percy weasley going on his first rounds as prefect with hasn’t-hit-her-growth-spurt-yet-and-is-fuming 15-year-old penelope clearwater. they do homework together in the library and are definitely the really obnoxious students that quiz each other on the way to class. they also have a really intense academic rivalry, but in a way that is meant to prop up the other.
iv) notp: any sort of weasleycest. n. o. otherwise im pretty ambivalent about it
v) first headcanon that pops into my head: he likes quidditch, and is good at it. ok so its not like oliver-levels of fanaticism, but he enjoys going to gryffindor games at school to cheer on oliver, or having a game playing on the wireless while writing an essay. and he’s a good player. not house team level (though as there are only 28 people in the school playing quidditch i dont think thats bad), but good enough to hold his own in a pick-up game. he just feels his school work is more important than sports.
vi) favorite line from this character: does percy even speak in the books or is he just hated on by everyone jokes, jokes (no its not), my favourite line from percy has to be that bit in poa, when its the quidditch game against ravenclaw and hes betting with penelope on his boyfriend the outcome of the game, and he tells harry to win in “an urgent whisper”, because (and i love this), “‘I haven’t got ten Galleons.’” priceless. i love it. i also love in dh when he comes back and agrees with fred, because it just shows how much hes grown and changed and i love it. but my fave will always have to be the part where he gambles money he doesn’t have. incredible.
vii) one way in which I relate to this character: lmao a better question would one way which i dont
viii) thing that gives me second hand embarrassment about this character: walking out on his family. i just, percy why? while i love how it gives us the reunion in dh, and gives him even more wonderful depth, at the end of the day that was a dick move, mate
ix) cinnamon roll or problematic fave? cinnamon roll. percy weasley has never done a thing wrong in his life except for that one Thing, but lets just ignore that
want one?

I am pretty sure that I've read about Ron being quite similar to Percy. Could you explain why this might be?
Percy and Ron both feel overshadowed and insecure (because Bill was the original “got all my OWLs and made Head Boy” one), only Percy coped through projecting an air of superiority and a bombastic personality, while Ron coped by projecting an air of “who the hell cares” and being relatively quieter than his siblings.
Both Percy and Ron read as though they are the “outsiders” in their family, Percy because he is his mother’s favoured son and as thus held up as an example for them to follow (leading to resentment), while Ron is... well, not the favoured son and a bit more of the one who slips through the cracks unnoticed, because Molly doesn’t pay as much attention to him, she simply assumes he’s doing ok somehow. As an aside, both Percy and Ron were also the twins’ preferred targets.
