okay so my tag for percabeth includes the quote from the last olympian “you’d do the same for me” and i’m gonna talk about why i chose it even though absolutely NO ONE asked <3 so whenever people talk about quotes that describe percabeth, they use the ICONIC ones like “we’re staying together” or “you’re never getting away from me” or the ever-popular “i’m never gonna make things easier for you” but in my personal opinion, “you’d do the same for me” is the one that is THEM. it’s just them. both percy and annabeth are FIERCELY loyal to the strongest degree and even through their confusing feelings and dangerous quests and the end of the world (you know, just normal teenage stuff), there was not ONE time where they didn’t want the best for the other. so, after annabeth gets STABBED for percy, this shines out. and it’s the perfect situation for this quote. the way percy just gently questions why annabeth got herself stabbed, and she just so straight-forwardly replies, “you’d do the same for me” and percy doesn’t even say anything back because IT’S TRUE!!!!! percabeth will always be first and foremost best friends who would do anything for each other. and the quote, “you’d do the same for me”, represents that.

Headcannon

What if Percy had a goldfish when he was younger because Sally didn't want him to ask questions about his dad (imagine that five year old who asks, "but why?" To everything...I'm certain Percy was one of them) bc she figured maybe he'd feel a connection to it being the son of Poseidon. Percy loved that fish, he would "bloop bloop" to it everyday, and it was called like Rodney or Guppy or something I reckon. When that fish died, he cried so hard for a week that Sally only fed him blue food in any means to chear him up, even made a blue cake with icing shaping Guppy(yeah I'm going with Guppy, even though Rodney is like a direct fishing pun) but he refused to eat any of the yellow, simply because "I will NOT eat Guppy!"

i think that scene in botl when annabeth sits at the poseidon table and percy is quaking in his boots is an accurate representation of how they value following the rules. if you think about it, the only time percy purposefully breaks a rule is when he absolutely has to. like, when he illegally joined a quest to save his best friend who was held hostage...twice. otherwise, percy tries his best to behave. annabeth, on the other hand, will commit arson for fun. and we love them both equally.
