Tattoo Spam ✨

Just a few pieces I have done on my sister, her partner, and my mentors cousin! Plus a design I did on silicone skin. Much more to come this weekend and I’m so excited.

Please feel free to tell me how I did! I’m just an apprentice but I’m very eager to learn new things all the time. (I know the supernatural one isn’t perfect my mentor already busted me bullocks over it.)

Had the misfortune of discovering after I already started the last picture piece that my RL (round liners) aren’t round but are actually mislabeled tight liners. Since I was using my mentors carts it was a bit of a learning curve because his are actually properly labeled RL so controlling the line thickness and keeping it consistent wasn’t easy. Regardless, I had a good time (:

Rhea

This peony tattoo design consists of two blooming peonies that are adorned with leaves and a magical crescent moon. The design is named after a woman from Roman Mythology. Her name was Rhea, and she was the mother of Romulus and Remus who founded Rome. The meaning of the name may be related to ῥέω (rheo) which means "to flow", or to ἔρα (era) which means "ground". And that's exactly what this design symbolises to me. Because the inspiration for it came to me quite out of the blue, after I had felt creatively blocked for a while and unmotivated to create new designs. The flow of this design is what I love the most about it; from the gentle sway of the petals and leaves to how it all comes together with the crescent moon at the top. Creating this design was a grounding experience for me, and I hope it will get to go on someone's skin and make them feel just as grounded and inspired.
