Hello...

So, I've been pretty...dormant? Lately, and I just wanted to give a bit of an update. I am still writing but it's...a lot slower lately. I've been sick for the past two weeks and it was one of those colds where everything is exhausting and your brain is nowhere to be found, so I really dropped the regular posts I was supposed to be doing and I didn't accomplish much as far as writing goes. I'm plucking away at the three/four requests I'm working on, but it's still pretty slow going.

I do have a few other things ready to post, so I'm going to be getting those up and scheduling them, but...I'm just not really into it all lately and Tumblr has been...tumblr. Thankfully I can copy and paste tags now so that makes things easier but I honestly dread formatting posts more than anything else, which is why I've been moving to Archive of Our Own. Posting is easier for me, the crowds have been more...vocal and interactive, and...yeah.

Also, it kind of feels like I'm not reaching my followers? Or, I'm reaching two or three of you and that's about it, so...idk, we'll see.

But anyway, I'm gonna be posting (scheduling) a few stories here in the next couple of days to sort of get caught up. I've got the rest of the week off, so I might do a drabble day on Saturday? And you know, if you see this, go ahead and send me some drabble requests and I'll post them Saturday.

Anyway, I have some Ao3 exclusive stories and all are open for people without accounts so you don't have to worry about that. I'm working on the stories that have been requested (pack trials, txt short, Harvest moon 2, etc) and they will be released...when I finish them.

Thank you for your patience, even if it was because you hadn't even noticed I was gone. It really helps when people don't pester about things 💜.

do you think ocean was worrying about how she had to get home soon because there was school tomorrow as she boarded the cyclone? do you think constance was super excited about finally going on her favorite ride after looking forward to it the whole day and the choir just went along with it because she wanted to so bad? do you think mischa was reaching out for his phone that was falling out of his pocket as he fell to his death in one final desperate attempt to contact talia? do you think ricky wished he could scream more than he ever had before as he watched the girl sitting next to him's head fly off? do you think in his final moments noel was worrying about his mom and how she would have no one left if he died? do you think ocean was the first one to notice how something was wrong with the track and could only listen as her choirmate's screams of joy became screams of fear? do you think about how hard mr and mrs blackwood probably cried when they found out their baby girl was dead? do you think that was mischas first time on a roller coaster? do you think about how ricky died the youngest of them all, having turned 17 only 3 months earlier? do you think constance was gripping the hem of her skirt, like she does in the show, as the cart was flying off the tracks out of pure adrenaline? do you think penny had brought ezra with her and he was on the ground, watching the ride his sister was on break and kill everyone in it? do you think he was desperately trying to tell the medics that the unidentified body was his sister and they brushed him off because of his age? do you think constance was laughing as she fell to her death, more focused on the beautiful sunset and memories than she was on her imminent doom? do you think about how because of the canadian school schedule, that was literally only their second week of senior year? do you think constances baby brother was scared when his big sister just stopped coming home one day? do you think about how mischa's final text to talia was probably a good night text and she slept through the love of her life's death, only to see no new messages from him when she woke up and "rest in peace" comments all over his social medias? do you think ocean was stressing about a quiz they had at school the next day in the moments before the cart derailed? do you think rickys cats felt his absence after he died and just knew something bad had happened to him? do you think, as he bled out, mischa was smiling because he would finally get to be with his mom?

ride the cyclone PSA for you all:

a lot of people don’t realize that uranium city isn’t a fictional town. it is a fictionalized version of the real uranium city, a town established during the cold war era boom of uranium mining towns in the 1950s.

it was a thriving mining town, with business shining throughout the 60s and the town boasting a population of over ten thousand.

the sudden closure of its last mine in 1982 saw the population plummet from 4,000 to almost 400 people.

to most, it’s now considered a ghost town, with only between 50 and 90 residents depending on the season.

relics of when the town was thriving remain scattered throughout the area. candu high, built right before the population plummet, remained in operation for 4 years before shutting down.

the only remaining school only serves students from kindergarten to grade nine, meaning that the only way a high school education can be pursued is through private means. there exist no cafes, and the few hotels and apartments that existed in the area have since shut down.

uranium city is a lot more than a dead-end highway town in real life: it’s almost completely abandoned. assuming the musical takes place in 2009, it wouldn’t have been big enough to host a fair and a cafe wouldn’t have enough customers to maintain business. part of uranium are fictionalized in ride the cyclone but the town itself met an even worse fate than the fictionalized uranium.

just an interesting bit of history i wanted to share :)

How do you deal with the amount of shit going on in our society?

sorry this took me a while to get to, i was on a little hiatus from tumblr but im back now lol

to be quite honest, anon, i dont. a lot of it is just choosing to ignore things i cant change, or distancing myself from issues that give me a lot of anxiety or stress.

other than that, ive blown through numerous bad coping mechanisms this past year, and none of them have truly helped.

i think the only thing that helps me is not reading the news, staying off tiktok, etc. because, although i know being well educated on the state of the world today is important, if all i did was read the bad news constantly coming at us from every direction i would never enjoy life and would be in a constant state of panic.

so i try to look forward to little things in my life, like getting boba, rereading my fav book, getting my nails done, etc. as well as focusing on the things in my life that i can change rather than larger societal problems i cant.

ive had too much coffee and now im just rambling lol but the best advice i can really give is either choosing to consume less media that talks about how shitty our society is, or using healthy forms of escapism (may i suggest reading) to temporarily distract yourself.

and im always open to talk so dm me if u want!!

I love Stardew Valley and I love the community and I love how we all bond over pixelated chickens like we’re seventy-year-old women bonding over grandchildren- - -

But I get so annoyed with the character hate, like!!! All the characters are great!! All the romance-able characters are great!! I keep getting recommended videos about the bad parts of characters and I just want to scream!!

Penny: lovely. Charming. Kids are a big part of dating her because she teaches kids, of course she’s going to react a bit badly if you hate children. She is trying to teach kids so that they don’t have to have the same life she and her mother do, why do you hate this woman who is just anxious?

Shane: lovely. Charming. Perfect. “He still drinks after we get married, which ruins the whole story” NO. No. Shane is an alcoholic, and a severe one. If he quit cold-turkey, he would fucking die. “Harvey pumped his stomach” HE WOULD DIE. And I don’t care that my husband is messy, he has his own room and I don’t have to go over there!!

Maru: lovely. Charming. She hates working. She loves working on machines. She thinks about machines to build for you to make life easier. She’s adorable. She has a complicated relationship with her brother and I want to help them fix it goddangit because I love fictional siblings.

Elliott: lovely. Charming. An artist. He only leaves his home for like four hours a day. I can really relate to the desire to shave off all of one’s own hair. I feel that in my bones. Also, is friends with Willy and I fucking love Willy so A++

Sam: he’s a musician and a skater. This is what the perfect man looks like.

Emily: just the most charming. She has a complicated relationship with her sister because she takes care of her. She works at a saloon, how can someone not love a literal saloon worker? She’s crazy, she’s wild, she’s a flower child, I’m in love with her

Harvey: glasses. Doctor man. Occasionally puts on headphones to not so subtly hint that he doesn’t want to talk to you. This is what the perfect man looks lik-

Abigail: I don’t see a lot of people complain about Abigal, but I’ve seen a few and it just feels like- you guys love Sebastian so much but don’t like Abigail? What type of double standard is this?

Alex: everyone always says not to date him if your playing a female farmer, but honestly, his dialogue only cuts out parts if you play male. Like, he still says he felt different about you from day one even if you’re playing as a girl. The character affected the most by your gender choice in regards to dating Alex is George, and if you’ve already befriended George, he’ll apologize for being mean about your sexuality when he never even said anything mean about your sexuality, which is kind of funny

I never see people complain about Haley or Sebastian, which is fair, because Haley has a cute character arc and Sebastian loves frogs (this is what the perfect man lo-) My only problem is that people praise these two but rag on everyone else when I feel like all the characters are balanced pretty evenly in terms of good-bad traits.

Which trait is which is dependent on the person playing the game anyway, so when someone like me plays, I can’t help but find the characters perfect because I’m very forgiving when it comes to fictional characters’ undesirable traits. I mean, my favourite trait of all is stupidity, pure and unbridled, I’m talking facepalm-inducing, groan-worthy, the type of character people complain about the most; the type of stupid that makes people stop enjoying things. How can I dislike these characters who are cute and a bit awkward and so ready to bed the first hot farmer they come across even when that farmer sifts through their trash and passes out three steps away from their own house and drinks mayonnaise and would eat hay given half the chance. Like come on. They’re all moron-sexual. I can relate to that.

In conclusion: your favourite bachelor and/or bachelorette is as wonderful as you think they are and screw the people who try to tell you otherwise. The characters are great because they appeal to different people. Enjoy the game and enjoy the dating and I swear to God if I see another person say that certain farm layouts are bad because they don’t make enough money- the game doesn’t have a time limit! You can make as much money as you want! You could sell one sap everyday and nothing else and you would still be able to make it to however much money you desire to have. There’s not really a fast way to make ten billion gold, that doesn’t mean that the farm layouts you don’t like are bad and yes I’m ranting just because I love the slopes of the mining farm its layout is chamrjng and picturesque and provides a unique challenge to decorating and placing buildings and it’s actually the BEST farm layout because I just decided so and-!

Stardew Valley is a great game, 10/10 would recommend, and the new update is already great because I found carrot seeds and I like carrots :)

i think luffy and law are the couple that just don’t care(they’re pirates)(also hear me out). like obviously at first, law is like ‘hey maybe not in front of our crews’ but then at some point, he just stops caring. not only are they connected by the hip, you can literally find one of them hoisted onto something or pressed against a flat surface with their tongues in each other’s mouths. luffy is absolutely insatiable and law kinda loves it. don’t go to the crow’s nest after dinner, luffy is in law’s lap practically devouring him. on warm nights, you might find law pressed against the railing of the Sunny or pressed against a door. on most days, luffy makes law sit up on the helm with him and they give each other kisses while watching the open sea. law watching luffy absolutely devour his meal and has to give luffy the absolute filthiest kiss ever. they’re on an island, luffy is dragging law to the nearest secluded corner or alleyway and shoving his tongue down law’s throat

Hmm... I was thinking of an idea I may not even have the time to work on and also because I'm not good with art so yeah...

But I was wondering if like Team Star making Director Clavell an honorary member/boss.

With his own outfit, obviously made by Atticus, his own theme, made by Giacomo (think of like a metal remix version of his own battle theme), and badge and everything. Eri would even see how strong his Pokemon are. Ortega and Mela would probably even offer to make his own starmobile but he'd quickly turn that down for many reasons. It was Penny's idea and even organized the whole thing, that everyone agreed as to her it was just a way for Team Star to thank him for what he's done for them after all. He probably even visits the centers from time to time to see how it's going. The Grunts probably love him too as a result xD

OK, but hear me out

Say Ride the Cyclone were to be adapted into a film; imagine how much fun it would be to see it animated.

Because for the main plot, like the intro song and the mostly dialogue scenes in limbo, you could easily do a stylistic, but still grounded in realism style that a lot of modern animated projects are doing right now (think Arcane or Into the Spider Verse). But once each of the kids go into their respective songs/fantasies for what their life could have been? What if those were done in completely different styles?? Imagine the additional, visual storytelling that would tell about who they are as characters?

Like say, for Ocean's number, WTWN, everything became more simplified, and the characters (especially Ocean herself) turned into a more rounded, chibi-like style to enhance just how cutesy and likeable she's trying to portray herself throughout that number.

Or for Noel's Lament, everything goes black and white, and the characters become even more 2D stylized, and the film scales down to a smaller millimeter frame, more reminiscent of cartoons from the early 20's, when animation was just starting out, to enhance his idealization of "the olden days" (as Ocean puts it).

Mischa's song, This Song is Awesome could be animated with a more choppy frame rate, and the character designs turn a little more jagged around the edges, kind of like animated music videos (I'm thinking a Gorillaz band vibe). But as he transitions into singing about Talia, the colors start to bleed out over their lineart, and become more paint-like and Talia herself moves like a rotoscoped character (think Loving, Vincent that came out a few years ago) to enhance the sense that she's somewhere between a real person and a fantasy Mischa's built in his mind.

Ricky's song would, of course, be stylized after those sci-fi cartoons from the 90's, like X-Men or Captain Planet.

For the Ballad of Jane Doe, I would love to see something like what Wolfwalkers did back in 2020, where most of the characters (in this case, the other kids) are for the most part, animated like traditional, 2D characters with very clean lines and neat movements, whereas Jane herself stands out for having messier, sketchy line art, and looks more and more unfinished in her animation as the song goes on, because she can feel more and more of her own identity being lost.

Constance's Sugar Cloud I could see done in the classic 2D Disney style (i.e., the Renaissance era of Disney, like the Lion King or Little Mermaid days) because not only is it really smooth and colorful and just all around nice to look at, but it reminds the average moviegoer of their childhood growing up with those movies (among others, obviously), which ties in nicely with Constance's preceding monologue about remembering her own life, and the good that came with the bad.

I'm even tempted to envision the first half of the finale song in a different style, when the stage production would show a quick projection of Jane/Penny's life after she returned to the world of the living. Imagine watching this animated film, and for that segment alone, it becomes that really hyper-realistic, almost uncanny valley CGI animation style, to show that she really has joined the world of the living, i.e. our world, among us, the living breathing movie goers watching this, and watching the other kids still in limbo fade back to that main art style for the final number.

I don't know; it just feels like something that would be so engaging to see from an already compelling storyline and characters. Especially with more experimental animation projects on the rise right now

i know there's many interpretations of klapollo and they're all valid or whatever all are welcome to dine at the lords table ect ect but to ME. it is integral that:
