They call me the Angel of Noc City, but it's all a lie. The cameras see what they want to see as my father spins half truths and dangerous propaganda. Darklings are dangerous. Monstrous. Unholy. They're a threat to humans everywhere, and they need to be destroyed, despite the decades of peace.
But what happens when Noc City’s poster girl discovers she's one of the monsters they fear? I can tell you what happens.
Chaos. Fear. War.
I thought death was my only way out. Sweet, dark oblivion. But I was wrong. The way out might just be through a room of chains, blood, and cravings…of sex, pain, and betrayal. My way out of this hell might rest in the hands of the most dangerous creatures Noc City’s ever known.
This is a DARK reverse harem book. There's a LOT of blood, sex, MM, and swears, not to mention references to suicide, abuse, and trauma. This is your fair warning, so if you say you like dark romance...please understand that this is a DARK ROMANCE.
Hey everyone, I’m Author Penn Cassidy, a Reverse Harem and Dark Romance author. This is the first post here on this platform due to the restrictions Facebook is placing on groups, which can be incredibly harmful for authors who enjoy reaching out to their reader base.
Feel free to use this blog just like you would use my reader group - Penn Cassidy’s Peeps. Instead of posting, you can submit whatever you’d like, and I will post them to the blog. Self promo is welcomed, I love encouraging other authors and supporting their books.
Readers, authors,PAs and bloggers feel free to reach out to me or send me an ask, just because. I’ll be updating this blog daily from here on out!

The song beckons me. Haunting, tragic and utterly lovely. It calls me to a place deep in the Louisiana Bayou, where impossible things creep in the shadows.
Following the voice on the wind, I scratch at the blood coating my skin and dance along the swamps with the crickets. Hands caress my arms and lips coax at mine, begging for me to let them inside. Begging me to surrender. Two men...if you can call them men, tell me I’ll never leave this place. These lights, this music, this nightmare... It scares me but it thrills me. Enough that I can almost forget about the blood on my skin.
My name is Moria Laveau, and I think I’ve done something very, very wrong.
Frowning at his sudden change of subject, I watched as he reached around and pulled an object from his back pocket. It was a pewter flask embellished with swirling engravings and a few rubies. He held it up between us and I stared in confusion.
“Are you trying to get me drunk?” I asked dubiously.
He laughed. “Here, take it,” he said, shoving it into my hand.
I took the flask and unscrewed the top, daring to give it a sniff. When I did, I immediately felt my fangs throb and a tingle run down the length of my spine, making my nipples harden and chills roll over my skin.
Blood. Thick, warm blood filled the flask. Pure blood unlaced with alcohol or watered down. It smelled like chocolate, making my mouth fill with saliva. I leaned in, bringing the flask towards my lips, but before I could, Rafe snatched it from my grasp.
A hiss fell from my lips before I could stop it. It was an animalistic sound that I’d never made before. I clamped my lips shut and leaned away from Rafe.
His eyes were alight with excitement as he said, “If you want it, you have to let me feed it to you.”
“Fuck off,” I snapped.
“Don’t be like that,” he cooed. “It’s fresh. I collected it myself only minutes ago. I don’t know what they were feeding you in those cells all these months, but I promise you’ve never tasted anything like this. Come on, what could it hurt to indulge a little. Celebrate your first day back home with me.”
Narrowing my eyes at him, I said, “I feel like this is some kind of trick.”
He grinned. “If it is, then what? Does it really matter? You need to drink before you get weak and make my job even harder than it already is. We need you strong for what comes next.”
“Then hand it over,” I said, reaching for the flask.
He moved it even further away. “Either I feed it to you, or you don’t get it at all.”
I could see it on his face that he knew he had me right where he wanted me. I didn’t know what he hoped to gain by being the one to feed me the blood, but I knew he had something up his sleeve. There was too much anticipation in his eyes and it made me nervous. But on the other hand, my eyes strayed to the pewter flask, fangs throbbing for a taste of that thick blood. It should have disgusted me, and when I was human it would have, but all I could think about right now was gorging myself on it, even if I had to degrade myself to get it.
“Lay back,” he said, seeing the acceptance in my eyes.
I sighed, knowing I’d already lost this particular battle of wills. I laid back against the tub, tilting my head on the rounded edge until I was comfortable. Rafe moved towards my head. My whole body was acutely aware of his every movement, and he was such a large man that it was hard not to feel his presence all around me.
“Open your mouth.” The words were whispered into my ear, tickling my neck. When I hesitated, I felt his palm wrap around my throat squeezing slightly as he said, “Now, Cassia.”
I did. Parting my lips, I kept my eyes shut and held my mouth open. His fingers released some of the pressure, but never fully left my throat. I was about to open my eyes and ask what was taking so long when I finally tasted the first warm drop on my tongue. It hit my taste buds like fireworks, and a moan immediately fell from my lips.
That one drop turned into a steady flow. I swallowed, laving my tongue around my lips, trying to catch every drop. My back arched as zings of pleasure raced through me, and I felt myself grow immediately stronger.
“That’s it, Princess,” Rafe whispered. “Drink.” Blood was dripping out the sides of my mouth, down my neck until I could feel it trickling over my exposed breasts.
I heard a deep rumble behind me as he said, “Fucking beautiful…”
This is a story all about how my life got flipped and ABSOLUTELY DEMOLISHED because my uncle decided he wanted to kill off half of Noc City’s population.
Yeah, talk about a toxic family.
Just when I thought I could try to move on from being kidnapped by said uncle and imprisoned, I get dragged off to Sol City by two a*holes in tactical gear and chips on their...admittedly attractive...shoulders.
What the hell, right?
This is a standalone spin-off of the Noc City Trilogy, told from Beatrix Castwell's POV. This is a why choose RH story with triggers and spice up the wazoo.
Sol City is coming to your Kindles February 10th 2022!!
