Critique cinématographique : Red Corner de Jon Avnet

Mon Avis : Ouh lalalala! Il y a Richard Gere est comment dire, il fait partie de mes acteurs préférés. Je l'avais adoré dans Pretty Woman dans le rôle de Edward Lewis. Il incarne le rôle de Jack Moore, un avocat américain qui se retrouve accusé de meurtre en Chine. Tout est contre lui, il est retrouvé au lit avec la victime, ivre mort. Ces empreintes sont sur les bouteilles et sur l'arme du crime. Il est tout de suite incarcéré et on lui donne un avocat commis d'office ou l'équivalent en Chine. Cette avocate ne croit pas en son innocence. Mais les choses pourraient changer à cause d'incohérence dans l'enquête... L'avocate Shen Yuelin a tout mon respect, elle est intelligente. Elle ne s'en cache pas. Elle est pleine d'humour sans pour autant être prétentieuse. Ce personnage a un certain charisme. Je me suis attaché à elle et pourtant, ce n'était pas gagné, car elle a l'air très froide de premier abord. Ce film est intéressant, car il nous donne un aperçu de la culture chinoise qui pour moi reste un peu obscure et très loin de notre culture. Je garde une certaine fascination pour leur culture. J'avais d'ailleurs lu du Pearl Buck qui est une auteure qui écrit sur la Chine du début des années 1900. D'ailleurs, si vous êtes intéressé par la culture chinoise, je vous le conseille vivement. La minute de publicité est finie, je vous le promets. Il m'a fait penser un peu à Meurtre à Pékin de Peter May avec cette confrontation de la culture américaine et la culture chinoise. Bref, j'ai beaucoup aimé. C'est un Thriller haletant et on s'attache facilement aux personnages.
