my third leader (apricotstar) was mates with a she-cat named rowanpetal, the only daughter of the lesbian leader/med founder power couple. they were cute and apricotstar had close relationships with his mothers-in-law. the leader shiverstar eventually picked him as deputy

he became leader after she died of heartbreak/old age a few months later. he had kits with rowanpetal and they were happy

then rowanpetal dies giving birth to their second litter (she was 156 moons old...) and apricotstar contracts lasting grief. he makes petalpaw his own apprentice and, literally the event after, he wounds her for disobeying his orders. every other month he hurt petalpaw for something or another-- SPECIFICALLY petalpaw-- while having statuses like "apricotstar considers petalpaw his best friend." petalpaw's own older siblings hated her too, her only friend was her sister plumpaw

so petalpaw becomes petalbranch and plumpaw becomes plumpounce. around the same time, a former loner (emeraldpatch) and her 4 kits seek shelter, and she becomes apricotstar's next victim (alongside petalbranch). poor girl is completely battered in-game

plumpounce challenges apricotstar about his treatment of her sister and emeraldpatch, so he blinds her. he winds up losing a life, too

so he keeps being a violent prick to his younger daughters, random pregnant women, and deputy (daisyheart) until emeraldpatch challenges him one last time and they both kill each other. which should be the end right?

peachpetal, petal and plum's older sister, gets into an argument over kits with her mate (rootshiver) and they break up. so rootshiver starts hanging out with petalbranch (not as a rebound, he had no romantic feelings toward her and she had a mate herself). peachpetal is PISSED and MURDERS petalbranch. peachpetal anticlimactically dies from old age

THEN rosedrift, peach and root's daughter, murders daisystar and her brother nectarstar becomes leader (nectar was a pretty chill guy so he wasn't involved). she has 3 outsider kits (spoilers, 2 are bloodthirsty but don't kill anyone) and is killed by a dog

cardinalflower and driftsky (the bloodthirsty twin brothers) have pretty normal lives and so does peonypetal, until she becomes leader and kills her deputy-niece robinshiver??? and is exiled alongside her daughter (azaleadance) who murdered her medicine cat cousin and step-sister

skip forward a couple generations where cardinalflower's granddaughter flowerstar is leader, and her daughter ambertail kills her. literally all this because apricotstar inflicted generational trauma on his children. i hate him so much

Asterfrost- Now that Aster's found peace & love I want to see him cut loose and have some fun! Especially once the Tumbleweeds are out of the nursery. Is he going to become a more permanent fixture in camp, or is the homebody life not for him? Will he still find ways to dad his kids like he does for Rocky? I wanna know!!! And I hope he enjoys it, whatever he does!

Earwig- I WANT TO SEE WIGGY INTERACT WITH THE STORMCLAN APPRENTICES SO MUCH, especially Peachpetal's family. They're all really hungry for approval from the adults in their life and I imagine they'd either bond...or it would become the most glorious bitchfest. Either way it would rock.

Alternate clan, hmm...ScaleClan Earwig, ESPECIALLY now with the Three C's (Cranepaw, Calamitypaw and Cedarpaw) wreckin' the joint in their chaos. I could see a hypothetical Earwigpaw maybe mentored to someone like Searingdawn, equally haughty and competitive. And he'd make an interesting rival to Cranepaw, since they have similar egos but in WILDLY different ways. Earwig's more on the "I know I'm good enough" while Cranepaw is more "Clearly I'm good enough...right? Right?" and I think that could make an interesting contrast.

Spice Wish- I wasn't around for a lot of Spice's interpersonal drama but I care him so much...I genuinely want to see Spice and Cloud maybe become a little detective gang together, they might have a really fun dynamic! I want Spice to worry about himself a little more though ;;

Tarponshine- I adore their dynamic with Sharkbite and I would love to see it explored more! I think their little friendship really solidified during Tarpon's tenure as leader, they really confided in her a lot. I just think they're honestly kinda tendy for each other even in a platonic way ;; I also and REACHING for Tarpon and Beetle interactions because I just think their dynamic has become FASCINATING. I want to really figure out how they feel about each other after the incident... Who do I ship them with? Drizzlepurr seems an obvious one, I mean childhood besties and all- but I would also entertain Sharkbite with how close they've gotten? But...hear me out...Hopfeather. I think the two are VERY similar people, deep down. They both strive to do good for TideClan, even if they don't really know how to approach it. They're also looking for connections, but kind of scared of what closeness means. I kind of want to see them maybe bond and get closer,,,,,,,,

Maplesweet- In a universe where Mothflame really did die, I feel like he would be an easy choice. Maybe something about putting the clan before yourself, especially the lives of the young and defenseless? Honestly lives for Maplesweet are a bit up in the air since most of the people he's really attached to are...still alive.

His ideal friendships are people who are proactive in getting him interacting with others, but also maybe helping him move past the need to shadow others all the time. It's why I think his friend group is really healthy for him- they're all really friendly and sweet cats, but they have enough life experience to be able to be maybe a bit more realistic with one another than the chaos of Pinkcloud's generation.

Heath Blossom- Druid!Heath would be very interesting! They're already kind of a spooky guy, but seeing them maybe become a sort of goth spiritual leader in the same vein as Mossgaze could be super fun! They join in the song of life, but always aware that a measure begins and ends. I think, much like canon!Heath, he'd just want to make sure whatever the verse is that he writes, it's meaningful and beautiful. I think dedicating his life to helping others would make a lower key Heath, though- more inclined to harmonize than write his own melody.

Outside the clan ships...Not a ship per se but I REALLY want to see him interact with Spirit Guide...I just think that would be interesting. I do think he and Copperstep would get into a LOT of antics together...I can just imagine the two of them in the corner of a Gathering chattering nonstop while the important stuff is happening because they love hearing what the other has to say! I just think that would be a really charming dynamic.

Tav you are lucky we are friends I'm putting this under a readmore for everyone's sanity.

Pigeonpaw- OKAY OKAY OKAY SO first off my favourite moment with Pigeonpaw...you already know what I'm going to say one of them is her talk with Railspur BUT I have different reasons for her than I did for him. With Railspur it felt like I finally got a solid grasp on him as a character. With Pigeonpaw, meanwhile...I can't say I knew your intent with her starting off but it felt like that set her on a wildly different trajectory. Or maybe it just set one in stone for her. Pigeonpaw's particular rebellious streak stems from synthesizing the conflicting sides of the war that ultimately bore her and I think the conclusion she's come to is that it's just all absurd.

Another one I like is her fight with Sandpaw. I think their dynamic is fascinating especially in that scene. You can REALLY see Duskwatcher in both of them imo between Pigeonpaw's stubbornness and Sandpaw's eventual lashing out. Pigeonpaw also seems like the type to, like her father, carry her scars with pride. I really wish I could have been there to see the Russetlings' return to BriarClan...between Pidge's scars, Squirrel's paint and Dawn's stubborn refusal to even be there I imagine their return was...frought.

As for a NAME...I think "pretty" names like Pigeonfeather or Pigeonflight are ill-fitting, first off. I like the idea of her getting a really Canyon-sounding name, unlikely as it might be. Pigeonshale after Shalespots would be ;; I'd say name her after her father but my working headcanon name for Dawnpaw is Dawnfall because uncreative gfjdg but Pigeondusk is rlly cool...maybe Pigeonstorm I always endorse storm as a suffix.

Peachpetal- You sent me Cersei Lannister gifs when you were telling me about her what else am I gonna say bghfdghxsdok n all honesty I love her design and I love her HORRIBLE personality. StormClan really needed just some mean nasty motherfuckers and I think Peachpetal and Frostbite together more than meet that quota. I would LOVE to see them hanging out or working together...supermodels who don't care about you. Amazing.

Birchfang- I wanna see her explore a friendship with someone from another clan! I wonder if she and Sunstorm would get along. They feel like they're on the same wavelength and it intrigues me...

Ponytrot- Sometimes I wonder if Ponytrot thinks about Wolfmask, considering his relationship with Muleheart. Does she wonder if he's okay? Does she resent him? Has she elected to simply ignore his existence? I'd love to watch a conversation between them go down...

I ALSO want to know what she thinks of the Russetlings having been trained in CanyonClan and coming back to BriarClan pissed off that they had to leave their "REAL home". What does she think about known warcrime co-conspirator Railspur having the gall to lecture about two-sided wars. She knew Rainfoot's uncle Waterstrider & Thunderheart's mother Fallowthroat, and Railspur was the cat that killed them both in a blind rage. How does she feel about two of the apprentices being trained by Craneflight and Sedgeclaw- cats that AspenClan once met in battle, with the blood of old friends & family on their claws? Has she really moved on to the peace BriarClan claims to uphold, or is she is her heart still full of hate?

For an alternate clan, hmm...I'm going to say I wanna know what would've happened if Pony was a CanyonClan woman :O I still think her momness would be there, and in very similar ways because I think deep down she's still an Aspen cat and not a Briar one. But I think Canyon!Pony would eventually become tired of this entire charade and leave CanyonClan behind, taking Muleheart with her...maybe becoming Creek!Pony instead.

Thunderheart- I can put my ear up to his and hear the ocean it's incredible. I love Thunderheart I love his wife and I kinda just want to hang out with him sometime...I think he and Rocky would be funny idiot friends. I want to just see more Thunderheart in general, dude, bring him to the border so he can talk at me about his wife!!!

Antlerblaze- THAT'S AN ENTIRE FATHER!!!!!!!!! Antlerblaze has the energy of a CanyonClan Sad Dad even though he seems so good-natured...does he have tears behind those eyes? Or is his heart simply fulla Lovemywife Juice?

Littlepaw- I keep thinking Little and Ashen should be friends!!! I also think she would try to fight any other apprentice she sees and I cannot WAIT for her to meet the other clans' new apprentices. I think she, Fig, Calamity and Mephisto are gonna be thick as thieves eventually!!! Bring BestieClan to the Mire I dare you

I feel like when she's older Littlepaw is going to need either someone more chill than her...or someone just as Rockstar Energy Drink to make her worse. No in-between.

Heronpaw- A tiny little woman I don't get to see often! A rare treat!!! I think it's so funny that while Sandpaw and Jaypaw are two very different flavours of MESS, Heronpaw is just trying to stay in her goddamn lane and do her best. See how good you look when you stay in your lane, Sandpaw? I want to know more about her and Ravinewing both tbh I don't get to see them often...

Railspur- "The world lost its wonder for me a long time ago. That happens to many cats. You get older. The world takes things from you. And you can't fill that hole again, it's just not possible. So you take things from the world."

Orchidfrost- I think her and Snailskip have just the funniest dynamic so so far my favourite moment of hers has been after she was elected to CanyonClan's council and Snail was cheering her on.

"I can't wait to boss everyone around and force them to bow to my bidding. I'll be the Machiavellian super villain the canyons' deserve. May the other Clans quiver with fear and desire before my power. All hail Orchidfrost, CanyonClan's top politician." is just the funniest line I love this woman so much

☁️- So I said Canyon!Maggie BUT I feel like Pumadream would be a similar story to Jag- befriending the introvert and all. So instead I propose what if Caveshade had run away to BriarClan and Puma ended up being raised there! I like the idea of Pumadream and Lambleap hanging out together because she's so skeeny and Lamb is Fuckhuge I just think that would be a really funny duo to watch.

🍃- I wonder how comfortable Puma would end up being as a warrior, especially if conflicts began and genuine fighting was required. That being said I think Pumadream has the wits to be an effective deputy one day once she gets more experience. Caveshade

☘️- Yknow who I want Orca to meet? Cherrybite from ScaleClan. Cherry is Orca's polar opposite in a lot of ways (being a rough & tumble warrior who's cooled off lately and become a full-time mommy) but I think the two of them would honestly get along surprisingly well!!! I'd love to see Orca's sweetness and Cherry's humor get together for a nice conversation. I also think she would YELL at Peachpetal when she found out what a bad mom she is.

🌲- Wisteriamoon...I want at least one set of COTM full-time moms to kiss and I think it should be Orca and Wis. They're both soft but Wis is also FUCKHUGE and idk I just imagine Orcashine looking respectfully

☁️- Scale-born Orcashine would be a lot tougher than Tide-born Orcashine I think, but I doubt she would lose any of her personality. The only difference is I think she would probably slap Shadedcove for being so apathetic that he just drops his kids at his sister's doorstep. She still SHOULD slap him but I mean in ScaleClan she wouldn't hesitate bitch
