A New Character for PAW Patrol Movie 3?
Recently, a user on the PAW Patrol Wiki found a link to a website about casting new actors for the upcoming third PAW Patrol movie. In it, they gave some details about a new character; "Dexter".
Tumblr media
As you can see here, Dexter is described as a golden retriever, wheelchair bound, expert on large jungle animals, good at inventing things with the resources around him, and is prone to make mistakes and treats each one as a new learning experience. He also has a rhino as a "best friend", and the Audition Package included mentions two other characters; "Martin" and... "Watermelon"?
It's important to note that PAW Patrol: The Movie 3 is still very early in its development. All or most of this can, and likely will, change at some point. Then again, some or even all of this might get scrapped at some point, so take all of this with a grain of salt. There's no guarantee any of this will make it to the final product, but if anything, at least it gives us a very brief glimpse of one aspect of the upcoming sequel.
However, there's still no info on which of the main six PAW Patrol pups it'll focus on... or if it'll be one of them? The website's trying to find a voice actor for this Dexter, but it's also trying to find one for Ryder, too. Maybe that's a clue to who they picked after all? Or maybe it means nothing. Who knows, and those that do aren't talking.
Fan reaction to this has been, from what I've noticed, mixed. Chances are, you noticed right away that Dexter sounds like a combination of many characters in PAW Patrol already, such as Rex and Tracker. There's also some aspects of Marshall and Rocky in there, which makes me wonder if that'll affect either of their chances to be the focus of film #3. Plus, while fans have praised the inclusion of more disability representation, some of us (myself, included) are disappointed that they went with one we've already seen. Given the large range of disabilities out there, such as autism, aspergers, deaf, etc., it's a shame they picked one that's already been represented. Given Brunker's penchant for plucking things from the TV series to repurpose them for his movie, I suppose I can't say I'm surprised.
With all this said, the film's still in its early development cycle, so things may change from now until its planned release date. The only other thing to mention is that the page sometimes refers to the movie as "PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie 3", which some have taken to mean it might be about superpowers again. Chances are, this is just a placeholder, thus it'll absolutely change down the line. At least, I hope so... I'm not too keen on them focusing on superpowers once more, though maybe others might feel differently.
That's all for now. And if anyone wants to check the site out for themselves, here's a link.

I guess this is the paw patrol fan in me but don't think paw patrol is copaganda as a lot of people claim they are because they don't do any actual policing even chase; the one time he arrests someone was mayor humdinger and that's only because he legitimately put thousands of lives in danger.
If anything they're an alternate resource. Most of their time is spent rescuing people, they male their money selling merch and not taxpayer money. The only reason chase is a cop is so that each pup follow a particular motif and c0ps were unfortunately popular at the time. Even then he is the ONLY cop character and does no real police work. It's literally just to sell toys. Are they annoying? Yes. Am I ACAB? Hell yes. But we cannot be blaming a preschool show for a system that existed long before any of us were born. That's like accusing thomas the tank engine of fascism.

— WOW! MAYOR HUMDINGER IS SO EVIL! THE EVILLEST MAN ON THE EARTH! HE BELONGS TO JAIL!
Meanwhile Mayor Humdinger from PAW Patrol World: *asks Ryder for forgiveness, repents of what he has done, no one in the city hates him, mayor agrees to a joint holiday, and his dirty tricks are regarded as a fun adventure for him and pups*
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Also here's some good ending where absolutely everyone is happy, both mayors and Ryder :)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
THAT'S HOW PAW Patrol must work.
There's no need to do Mayor Humdinger more devilish than he's in the tv-show because he's not so evil as others make him.
Cal Brunker, fuck you and your movies for that.
Tumblr media
PAW Patrol is supposed to teach that everyone can redeem themselves and has an another chance. Your films teach that you make an already evil person even more evil, and you don't solve it because pups need a punching bag.
Tumblr media
No, thank you. I don't agree with this evil-to-jail policy. PAW Patrol World is more PAW Patrol Movie to me than the all movies Brunker did (and actually in the game all pups have their big screen time, lol).

I don't know if you've seen the movies but the first one is about wtf Ryder, how you take your traumatized dog to the city that traumatized him and you hope he's okay and in the end he resolves his trauma?? Idk
I like it it's interesting, the second one isn't so much of my favorite maybe it's because I don't think Skye is like that at all. The first movie seemed very Chase to me, but the Skye thing? It didn't seem too much like Skye to me.
But it just my opinion. :D
Yeah I didn't get to watch the movies yet because I only started watching Paw Patrol last month and I'm trying to do this in the "correct sequence" for seasons, specials and movies. I just started 5th season last night, and from what I saw, I'll watch the first movie after the 8th season, so YEAH, LONG ROAD AHEAD FOR ME YET
But I've seen some gifs here and there around Tumblr AND LET ME TELL YOU THAT'S THE SAME IMPRESSION I HAVE SO FAR ABOUT THE FIRST MOVIE LMAOOOO ALL I SEE IS CHASE IN DISTRESS AND I'M LIKE RYDER WHAT ARE YOU DOING ARE YOU GIVING YOUR CHILD ANXIETY

Paw patrol movie spoilers!! //
It genuinely has me baffled how these tiny, adorable furballs have such low self-esteem.
Tumblr media
───────────────────── 🐾 ────────────────────
In the mighty pups episode, Chase had such little self-esteem and hesitated a lot on being a team leader. This happened similarly in the movie, too. Actually, in many episodes where he's put 'team-leader' he doubts his abilities to do so. And it's not just him, either!
Marshall. Oh my god where do I start? Poor boy is so insecure about his capabilities and place on the team. He literally ran away in an episode thinking his friends made fun of him for 'not doing anything right'. These thoughts also come from how clumsy he is, and he just thinks he's some no-good pup and it's so sad! Sure he would constantly wipeout but that's what makes him so loveable! Cracking one-liners and making puns, He's such a good pup.
And Skye, she felt unimportant compared to the rest of the pups because she was 'small and insignificant'. It's so heartbreaking! Skye was my favorite pup as a kid and I swear if she doesn't love herself I will love her. And, as small as it sounds, (pun unintended), Skye's issues have a huge psychological impact on her. And then, she almost froze to death if it wasn't for Ryder. Imagine the amount of trauma that may have caused.
Chase. Oh my god my heart melts for him. He's such a tiny furball WHY DOES HE HAVE TRAUMA. Not only he sees himself as a bad team leader, he was abandoned at such a young age. The movie was amazing. But his fear of adventure city just shatters my heart and I just want to squeeze him.
And let's not forget about the pups' beloved owner, Ryder. He fell from a tower. How did he survive? Movie logic. But still! That is incredibly traumatizing, and yet somehow he still doesn't even get hurt? He walks just fine after that. Ryder was caught in a literal life-or-death situation at the age of TEN. He's ten. I'm glad Chase was there; and props to Ryder for having backup plans and being resourceful, but seriously, getting almost killed by all that rubble probably took a huge mental toll on the poor kid.
These guys don't deserve their negative perceptions of themselves. They are so cool and pawsome. They're all so so young too !! I want to squeeze the pups and pet them and play with them oh my god.

I finally was able to get Puss from the closet after changing my lifestyle to be healthier (I will exercise everyday and drink out of a big water bottle that is marked)! The last two images are Puss with my Build a Bear collection and Puss with Lostie, my plush of Lost Soul 22 from Soul, since both are plushies I sleep with every night.

Here's my talk for "PAW Patrol: The Movie", the first wide mainstream cinematic big screen release based on the main series. (There were a couple of limited releases of the main series in theaters, but I think they were to promote what was to come in the series and line at the time)
Which dub do I watch mainly? The UK dub, even if the film's main releases in Australia and the US are the US version. Why you ask? It's because some of the voices in the US dub in my opinion were changed for the movie (Some are a bit more higher pitched), and I do like the voices from the main series better. I do often watch the main show more, but I enjoy the movie on good occasion. I enjoyed "The Mighty Movie" (The 2023 follow-up) in the US dub and it was nice (The voices in the 2023 follow-up sound a bit closer to the main series to me). It really depends on what you like best between the 2 English dubs. Either one can be good for how you feel, and if you like one of the two better. It's just how I feel. Both English dubs of the 2021 film are included on the Blu-ray, just like the DVDs of the main series (Though not the DVD of the 2021 movie). This is how I describe my taste, and you can describe your's, and have a different taste if you like. Glad that some can depend on which dub they like best and watch it. I can understand voices can sometimes change depending on how which PAW Patrol productions are made, either the main series, or the wide mainstream cinematic films, or "Rubble & Crew", you know. (All of this about how I feel with the voices is my opinion, not a fact. To me, it's similar to the North American dub of Bob the Builder where the machines sounded younger than in the UK dub, and I enjoy them time and time again)
I still enjoy the PAW Patrol 2021 movie to have fun with. I still enjoy the main series too. 😉

News is circulating right now (official news, not rumors) that a third PAW Patrol movie has been greenlit. There's no word yet on what it'll be about, or more importantly, which pup will be the focus.
Naturally, you all know who I'm rooting for, especially given how the franchise treated him there for a while there. Having Marshall be the star of the third theatrical movie would absolutely make up for all of that... but the fact that the franchise did that to him makes me worry that, once again, they may pass him up for someone else. They may make it about Rocky, or Liberty, or even have it star Rubble and be more of a theatrical Rubble & Crew. It's anyone's best guess right now. I imagine only Brunker knows, and of course, he's not allowed to say.
I suppose now all I can do is cross my fingers and hope for the best. Will Marshall be the focus of the third theatrical movie? I'm not bursting with confidence here, but... of course, only time will tell.

I should not be this involved in shows that are for little kids. I have watched WAY too much Paw Patrol in the last month for the good of my sanity. I am way too involved in the show now.
