یار دصفت محتاجه نه دی
My love doesn't need compliments
پہ ګلابونو عطر چا شیندلې دينه
Who has ever sprayed perfume on roses?

I grew up mom,
You can’t carry me anymore,
My worries are more now,
My list of dreams is taller than me,
I have grown so much that now I can no longer go to your door at night and cry.

تمہیں یاد کرنے کے اتنے عادی ہو گئے ہیں ہم, کے اب اگر ملجاؤ تو تمہارے ملجانے پر غم ہوگا.
I'm so accustomed of missing you, that even if I get you I'd be more upset of having you.

To all those who inboxes me. Yes. I hate Hamas. I hate all terrorist. I hate Taliban, Boko Haram, Isis, Al Qaeda and the rest. Just like how Europeans hates Nazis and Americans against KKK. There is always a stupid group ruining every countries' image. The Taliban prevented rights to women despite what Allah said. Taliban are oppressing Afghan women. I hate them and so do other Afghan women. We are trying to rebuild our lives by killing or imprisoning them like how Germans captured the Nazis. It will take time to recover years of damage. The Taliban bombed historical sites. They burned fiction stories, poetry and paintings under the name of their fake Islam. We got pissed when the statue of Buddha was destroyed due to idol imaging. And our music instruments we invented were broken into pieces saying music is forbidden in Islam. Which is proven to be allowed as long as it is not cheering to murder, sex outside of marriage, devil worshipping, etc. harmless love songs and other genres are Absolutely allowed. We also lost non Muslim building like churches and synagogues, especially Indian temples. (India is next to Afghanistan.) So thanks to the Taliban our old friends are not our friends.
Sadly, even many men included cannot read. We have to teach them before rebuilding architecture and law. So, it will take years sadly to make things normal. I mean who wants an illiterate to build a school?
We were stereotyped as great people in the past.

Now we are laughed at.

War really disgraced us. We lost so much past efforts, money, and dignity. So, give us time to make things the way they were.

In 2020, Uma Mirkhail got a firsthand demonstration of how damaging a bad translation can be. A crisis translator specializing in Afghan languages, Mirkhail was working with a Pashto-speaking refugee who had fled Afghanistan. A U.S. court had denied the refugee’s asylum bid because her written application didn’t match the story told in the initial interviews. In the interviews, the refugee had first maintained that she’d made it through one particular event alone, but the written statement seemed to reference other people with her at the time — a discrepancy large enough for a judge to reject her asylum claim. After Mirkhail went over the documents, she saw what had gone wrong: An automated translation tool had swapped the “I” pronouns in the woman’s statement to “we.” (...) Whether automated or not, translation flubs in Pashto and Dari have become commonplace. As recently as early April, the German Embassy to Afghanistan posted a tweet in Pashto decrying the Taliban’s ban on women working. The tweet was quickly ridiculed by native speakers, with some quote tweets claiming that not a single sentence was legible. “Kindly please don’t insult our language. Thousands [of] Pashtun are living in Germany but still they don’t hire an expert for Pashto,” posted one user, researcher Afzal Zarghoni. The German Embassy later deleted the tweet. Seemingly trivial translation errors can sometimes lead to harmful distortions when drafting asylum applications.

Maverick: Hallucinating Toaster
He’s literally arguing with hallucinations.
Choice quotes:
“We’re like some weird boy band.”  -- Mav, to the hallucination voices of Goose, Ice and Slider.
"Happy Thanksgiving," he said to the latest guard with a crooked smile as he slowly ate his bread.  "You guys are missing a good meal.  The Marines will be playing football after, it's pure comedy."  -- Mav, to his prison guard.  Who, by the way, only speaks Pashto.
I think Goose is using up all his pixie dust on this one.
Meanwhile, Ice is nesting, Cyclone wins some kind of distance record for kicking ass, there are emails, and requests for doughnuts and hot chocolate in bed.  And again, I reiterate, Mav needs to learn to ignore tempting twisty canyons.
