Unfortunately, I haven't done any since 2020 other than the odd doodle or two on post-it notes... But quite a lot of my sketchbook arts past 2017 were not posted on tumblr.

Don't know if you've seen this, but this is the last one I've officially posted back in 2020.

Thank you all so much for participating in my ‘help me post old stuff’-poll! To my surprise this was the winner, it’s probably the oldest one of the entire list and it’s just two sketchy studies of Joe and Nicky in historical garb (I can’t even find the ref photos anymore but I know I had some). It’s absolutely itching in my fingers to clean them up and add some light etc but I promised myself not to so here ya go!

#cats #nhgnhmmm.. yommy... paper favorite food #(I do not actually let him eat paper) #ALSO I'm still working on doing the poll adventure thing I've just had a lot going on. as usual. It's actually harder than #I initially thought to regularly find time to do a quick ms paint sketch and a small writing blurb #it's like even though it doesn't take extremely long it's still one of those things that is hard to carve out a little portion of the day #to do if your day is set up in a way not conducive to portion carving #BUT .. at least I have posted many drafts #as usual.. my style of like.. post nothing for 3 weeks then randomly post 25 things at once #NO idea why my brain works that way. it just does. it's easier #even though I know it's worse in terms of like. social media #the algorithms in most places prefer consistent steady uploads over time. not jarringly wavering between absence and hyper presence #then absence again. but .. alas... #Good to clear out a few drafts once in a while anyway. And I do really want to get back to scullptures and costumes. I stopped as much for #a while due to the pandemic (can't go to the bins anymore to get new supplies for costumes and stuff) as well as my worsened #health things/lack of energy and also my chest injury (so repetitive movements with my arms such as sitting in the same #position sculpting for 4 hours or changing clothes multiple times in quick succession etc. could flare it up) but obviously #none of those things are going to get better any time soon. so I should probably just try to do it here and there anyway. It's still not #safe to go to the bins. still having muscle problems. still low energy. But I could make it work maybe. I just feel bad having gotten out #of the habit when it is really fun stuff that I enjoy. Some things just get more difficult for me over time #But even like 3 sculptures and 10 costumes a year is better than 0 of any of those things. So. eh #I'm also just trying to clear out pictures still. My spring cleaning (which I do at the start of every new year instead of actual spring) #was kind of delayed this year due to me feeling sick and everything so even late into april I'm still working on the side at like orgnazing #all of the files on my computer. deleting things and backing up whatever I want to keep. clearing out photos. #editing and drafting (and maybe one day posting) old stuff form a while ago. etc. etc. #So any progress is good progress. I suppose. #ANYWAY.... a son... he gets very excited everytime he hears anyone anywhere crinkle up a piece of paper

Top to bottom, there’s Khelik Yu-ren, an Aquiste alien from Layer Zeta, An Echo from the Trees in the North, a faerie from the World of Light and Darkness, and Onyx of the Winds, an old, unattached creature born in the margins of my notebooks

At the bottom is a sketch of their relative sizes (for reference Khelik is about six feet at the top of his skull) so yeah Onyx and An Echo are massive fellows

I still remember when I started my current sketchbook and I said I was gonna finish it in a year, that was on 2020... guess who is very bad at reaching her goals!

anyways I'm 12 pages away from finishing it and I have to do that before the month ends so I can take with me a smaller sketchbook on vacation, because my brain wont let me start a new sketchbook if I dont finish this one

#If I was still on college for the rest of 2020 I would have finish it in a year tbf #bc I always started every school proyect with traditional sketches and then I did the final parts on digital #but since I graduated and with the pandemic I stuck to do everything on digital #I barely use my sketchbook anymore #just to plan comics and animatics #all my thumbnails and initial storyboards are on my sketchbook #I might just use the last pages to finish thumbnailing chapter 3 of kidnapped #or as much as i can of the sep leo au #dg rambles

I did this in art class today, the teacher made a game where we experimented with different styles, materials or things like that.

The drawing is not finished and I don't think I will finish it either.

I did "pop art" a subject I didn't want to do, since I want to focus more on other types of styles, but it turned out to be very entertaining, even though it cost me a lot to think of a theme or idea for the sketch.

I liked experimenting with this avant-garde, what I liked the most about the drawing was the color palette of the woman, the blue was very good with the style.

The idea or what this drawing wants to reflect, so to speak, is the theme of anxiety, although I feel stupid talking about it, not because I think it's silly or anything like that, I'm just embarrassed to touch these topics in a personal way.

The text on the "thought balloon" says 'Im not afraid of the monster under my bed anymore' I wanted to imply with the window, that now she is no longer afraid of the "monster under her bed" but now she is afraid of the outside, turning her back to the window that reflects the crowd or people.

I wanted to reflect the anxiety that the pandemic left in people after it left.

I personally found it a little more difficult than usual to relate to people after the pandemic and it is something that affected me then and now.
