Hi y’all! It’s been almost two months since I have moved into my dorm and started college! My roommate and my suitemates are all wonderful, beautiful people. My college classes are, well, challenging, but I think that after 7 weeks of school, I am finally getting the hang of things. I also broke down and got a moleskin journal! I love it! I’m trying now to get my November spread up because in the next few weeks I am going to be incredibly busy.

I have more hearing loss in my right ear than I did two weeks ago, which is super scary right now. I have a CT scan next Thursday to rule out a recurrence of my tumor, but my ENT thinks that it’s just the hole in my ear getting bigger. If there isn’t a tumor, and it’s just the hole, I’m looking at either getting a hearing aid at the age of 19, which could help bring my hearing all the way back to 100% (which I haven’t had in almost 9 years) or I’ll be getting a surgery around winter break to close up the hole. The problem with the surgery would be that it would block off the Eustachian tube, which is what caused the tumor in the first place. Please pray for me!

I also have 5 exams next week, and I think I’m handling the stress pretty well. I say that in the hopes that I don’t get super anxious right before any of those tests.

Regardless of any of these high priority topics, I’m still going to go have dinner tonight with one of my bible study leaders tonight, before our meeting! I think that it will be fun.

introductory post !

hi all! my name’s amelia (but you can call me mill) and this is my study blog i created way back in november or summin, and only just finished sprucing up so it’s ready to go! figured it’s a good idea to introduce myself :) 

about me

i’m 19 years old and currently live in england

i just finished my first year of university studying psychology, but i am transferring to biology for the academic year 2017-2018!

i study at university college london in, you guessed it, london

i’m a volunteer for festival republic, and work for a couple festivals during the festival season!

hobbies/interests

i play piano and a little bit of guitar

i like drawing/sketching, and designing tattoos! 

i’m interested in learning in general: biology, botany, astrophysics, philosophy, music theory, pretty much anythin!

i freakin love cartoons, and i’m not talkin about adult cartoons, i waste so much time watching the amazing world of gumball

i like plant biology in particular and classification, with trees and mosses and liverworts and all that jazzy stuff

i listen to lofi religiously while i study, it’s amazing

why make a studyblr?

like most of you i suppose, i need help getting motivated sometimes. i’ve found studyspo and studyblr posts to be a great way to do this, and studyblr masterposts are so useful! this seems like a great community of diligent workers, and while i’ve got some distance to go in being a good student, i figured this will help~! i hope to be posting lots of original content soon, but term time doesn’t start till the 25th september haha. i’m mainly interested in posting my own notes and creating (hopefully) useful resources!

Hello there!

Hello everyone… my name is Desireé, and prepare yourselves cause this going to be a hell large of introduction.

So… my first semester in university is this next month, and I came to tumblr because I want to feel the motivation that a lot of study profile can give you, and I feel it… like a lot.

But, a couple of days ago I saw this post from @emmastudies, when she says that sometimes people tell her that they want to start a studygram but they  don’t have nice writing, or they aren’t very artistic, or don’t own certain stationery.

So my commitment here it’s to teach every one that you do not have to have these things to have really great notes on your notebook or bulletjournal. With that out of the way, let me tell you some things about me.

My name is Desireé, but you can tell me “Desi”. I’m 22 years old and I'm going to study tourism, starting in September. English it’s not my born language, so I may have some errors.

I love my dog (Africa), anime, kpop, doramas, snail mail and pen pals (but I don’t have one), reading its one of my favorite things to do in the world. I also love dance like crazy when no one is watching me.

And guess what? I don’t have good handwriting; I’m not very artistic or own certain stationery. All I can do is being organized and I also have a lot of motivation from all those studyblr that I follow.

I neither know about photography, and I don’t have a great camera.

With this blog you and I are going to learn allot, because I’m kind of new in this world. I’m gonna teach you that you don’t need to be an expert to get those amazing notes or bulletjournal.
