Y'all I've never done this level of fanart inception before... But @velinxi absolutely captured my heart with their PJO/Hades game au. I've never even played Hades game and haven't read a PJO book in years and years, but I've been a long time Velinxi fan and they sucked me right in with their fantastic art and storytelling. I fell so in love with it that I ended up buying their zine and it absolutely rocked my world. So this is a little love letter to them. Character design credit to Velinxi! Seriously go check out their work it's incredible.

What is this?

It’s a manga/anime called Mob Psycho 100 and I got dragged into it by really, really good fan art and au comics

It’s about an 8th grade boy named Mob (real name Shigeo Kageyama) who has incredibly powerful psychic powers which are tied to his emotions. Because of an accident he had as a kid while trying to protect his little brother, he refuses to use his powers most of the time and subconsciously represses his emotions to keep them in check until he physically can’t anymore. His closeness to exploding is represented by a percentage that frequently changes (0% being completely relaxed, 100% being overcome with feeling) which is used in a really interesting way throughout the series. He is a GOOD BOY and I cry

His mentor/shishou/boss, Reigen, is a fake psychic who cons consults people who are being haunted or cursed. Despite being a completely normal person with no supernatural power at all, he proclaims himself the strongest psychic of the 21st century and is simultaneously really vain and a complete mess. He’s bombastic and overconfident and probably super depressed a terrible (but lucky) liar and I adore him. He helps Mob deal with his powers in a healthy (...healthier...) way and I would give my blood for a series that was just those two and their found family father/son relationship but apparently he’s kind of a minor character? not sure. I’m still only like a third of the way in

A series of vignettes for the "Horror Movie Bound to Get You In" twins and their friends. (I was having trouble coming up with ideas...)

It took a while, after the whole 'we nearly had to see Mr. Tyrone be burned alive by a crazy cult but it turns out he's Alcor the Dreambender and he was the whole time' incident, for what had happened to really sink in.

Everyone who'd been there had accepted it at the time, but they were also in a bit of shock and had just been accepting everything as it happened.

At least Mr. Tyrone...or did he want to be called Alcor now, in private? He still answered to 'Mr. Tyrone' and 'Mr. Spruce' in public so...at least they knew he wasn't going to hurt them. He was going to protect them, no matter what.

But it was still a bit of an adjustment.

Some, like Gabriela, mostly seemed to take it in stride. There had always been something a little off about Mr. Tyrone, and a bit of research said that while Alcor was unpredictable, he had never voluntarily harmed a child.

Some...to be precise, Aaron...weren't satisfied with the explanation of 'Mr. Tyrone is Alcor' and wanted to know more, to know things that weren't online (or were blocked by parental locks until they were older).

If Dipper had thought Aaron was persistent before, it was nothing compared to now.

Aaron was a smart kid, so he didn't ask any of the Spruce family questions in public or where they might be overheard...but he had a lot of questions, and sometimes he would simply follow Dipper around the Spruce house, peppering the demon with question after question.

“Why're you connected to Mizar?” “Where do demons live? When they aren't like you and can live in the real world, I mean.” “What about familiars? Do all demons have them?” “Why are you pretending to be human? Did you do this before? Do you do it a lot?” “Why do you always ask for candy instead of blood? Not that I want to change that, I just, you know. Demons, blood.”

Dipper wasn't sure how Aaron explained his sudden increase of candy purchases to his parents. But he wouldn't, couldn't, answer all of Aaron's questions without some kind of compensation.

And there were some he couldn't answer yet, and wouldn't answer without a much more substantial bribe.

Do I get asks: Not all that often, but i’ve been getting a lot more recently on my art blog now that i started doing fanart for TMA and RQG. :) They’re always such nice asks, and i love getting them. Following: 844 (I need to go through that and unfollow a lot of old inactives tho) Amount of sleep: I have to get 7-8 hrs or else i’ll be sleepy when driving to work. :> Lucky number: II don’t really have one. :0 What I’m wearing: I’m in PJs right now. 5 things you’ll find in my room: a bunch of laundry; nerdy posters that I never got around to hanging up; an ocarina and piano that I need to learn how  to play still; a folded paper owl my grandma made for me; a bunch of empty amazon boxes because I just haven’t had the time or energy to clean .-.
