Imagine you were Anakin’s first love and he was yours. You loved him deeply and had so much to tell him, but life always got in the way. Eventually years separated you, though, until the moment fate plays a trick on you in an unexpected reunion and he is not the man you once knew.
Warnings: light smut, unburnt Vader, angst, DRAMA. No twins in this universe…yet.
Warnings 2: fluffy ending bc that’s how I roll.
Warnings 3: sorry for the lack of new stories, been suffering with writer’s block.
Recommendations: “Could It Be Any Harder?” , “For You” and “Your Hope” by “The Calling”.

Intro: Padawan days.
You were going through a difficult moment in your life. Being the Padawan of Master Y/C often required you abilities that you struggled to master. In your worse days, you envied your long time friend Anakin Skywalker for how easy he made things.
And that day was one of those. You were snorted at, scoffed by Master Y/C for letting emotions placate you again. When Anakin went after you, having just recently returned from his last trainings before his trials, he found you about to burst in tears in the secret spot you two shared whenever something upset you.
“Hey, Y/Nickname”, he was startled at seeing you like this. Often cheerful and confidant, rarely did you not mask your insecurities to him. “What’s wrong with you?”
Your eyes went wide when you were discovered. Usually the type of “suffering alone”, you’d quick try to conceal your sentiments. But Anakin knew you well enough to guess your next moves, so he stepped forward and took your hands into his, clasping them together.
“Don’t. Don’t run away from me. You think I don’t see how you keep your issues to yourself? Don’t drown them, it only harms you.” And then he softened as he pushed you into him. “Please talk to me.”
And that was how you clanged unto him as you burst into tears. Anakin embraced you, arms protectively wrapped around your small frame. As you rested your head against his chest, he felt your pain, your angst, your frustrations. Sentiment that, whether he cared to admit or not, mirrored his own, specially after he found out what happened to his mother—and you were there to console him, fighting his fears and wiping away his tears.
“Is Master Y/C being hard on you again? I swear I will punch his face next time I see him.”
At which you chuckled lightly.
“Don’t do that”, you told him, though your voice was muffled by the cloth of his Jedi robes against which your face remained buried. “You know violence is not the Jedi way.”
Anakin gently lifted your face so you’d meet his loving gaze searching for yours.
“Not even to defend you, little one?”
You smiled and he too, specially when seeing the heat that painted your cheeks pink.
“Ani…”
There was so much to be said and he could read well into you. His hands reluctantly let go of yours only to cup your face. You started leaning right into him when…
“Anakin!”
You both heard Obi-Wan Kenobi calling for him. You sighed heavily and so did Anakin.
“You should go”, you told him, despite a bad feeling rising suddenly into your heart.
Anakin continued to touch your face, fingers running to your hair before resting on your shoulders, so he pulled you for another embrace.
“He can wait.”
“Anakin, if he finds out where you’d been, he will be displeased.” You realized what you said and your face reddened again. “I mean. Though we are friends, Master Kenobi might not look well into this…”
“Friendship, eh?” When he parted from you, you were baffled to see a hurt behind his eyes. “Am I just a friend for you, Y/N?”
You sighed frantically, detesting how bad you were with words. Both of you heard Obi-Wan’s mutterings, not too far from where you’d been.
“You know I love you”, you felt yourself burning but an instinct, so strange to you, compelled you to speak out your heart’s desires. “Should I make it more obvious?”
But before Anakin could respond, Obi-Wan found the two of you.
“Ah there you are!” He breathed relieved. Clearly the spot was no more secretive. “Greetings miss Y/N. I believe your master has been looking for you… Now, Anakin.”
And that was how it was. Anakin did not look at you and neither did you. You already felt the weight on your shoulders when you left. Had you turned your head, you’d see Anakin’s blue irises painfully staring at you, wishing you’d know he loved you, wishing you’d not go.
Don’t fade away, Y/N.
But that was the last time you saw each other ever again.

Nowadays.
Your POV.
For some reason your instinct forces you to go into hiding. You try to contact your former master with no success, you attempt to reach out for your fellow Jedis—specially Anakin, although since you’ve heard he espoused Senator Padmé Amidala, you and him barely met again.
He would laugh cynically at me for contacting him after all these years, but despair times demand despair measures.
He is also gone. It is when it comes to your knowledge that the Order Jedi is no more. It fell. The Order 66 knocked down every Jedi after the knighthood was condemned for treason. Republic fell too.
Now, like a fugitive, you live in the dark. Solitude is your best defense: you think best not too look for other Jedis so neither would risk being exposed to the Empire.
What resistance can we offer when we are outnumbered?
In truth, you’d been more like a ghost of yourself since before the fall of Republic, and not rarely your master would place the fault in his harsh trainings for earning you the nickname of Phantom. You took a little too far the avoidance of forming bonds, you were emotionally distant and you often preferred your own company.
Once the old Grand Master Yoda told you:
“Perceived to few your shadows are. Tricky to your Force they can be if carelessness is the path you choose. Mindful, Jedi, must you be.”
Words that still cut you to the core of your heart. At times you know you flirt deliberately with darkness, but when it summons you, you resist. Could a broken heart have damaged you so?
Such are the thoughts that bend you to yourself, making you cry to sleep, being the cause of your daily anxieties before night gives way to rise. You are now living into the depths of the planet Y/C, trying to keep yourself a dust in the old books of history, a memory that few would recollect.
However, trouble does not take long before finding you. Somehow the region where you are is involved in a deadly prosecution of these Jedi-hunters known as Inquisitors. And worse is that, the very day you decide to go to market and try to live a normal life, your undercover is no more.
“Oh shit.”
That is when the chase begins. Because there are two of them, they split and one runs after you. You can sense the Inquisitor—an individual with red eyes and predatory behavior—is about to blast you. Your instinct is quick in movement and by making use of your saber, you expose yourself via your signature. Your silver hair drops from the hood in a long braid and you smirk as you begin to fight amongst witnesses in leather clothes.
“I thought the Jedis are dead!”
“Not sure if I am a Jedi”, you reply one of the curious. “But I might die as one.”

Vader’s POV.
How he breathes in the cold air sounds mechanical to a man who, although a survival for what happened in Mustafar, feels is more inclined to a machine than anything.
Tangled in a dark web woven by his doings, he who was once praised as the chosen one is something so much more than that. Or perhaps not as great as he himself thought to perceive.
Drowning in the waters of self hatred, haunted by ghosts who never left the path of blood his saber forged, this Sith Lord finds to lose the grasp of an unending self suffocating—didn’t he tell Obi-Wan Kenobi that there is no more Anakin Skywalker?—when the Force shows him the vision of a woman whom his heart never truly blacked out.
His eyes go wide before a mix of visions that blurry his understanding. At first there is the young you crying yourself to sleep.
“The pressures Master Y/C put you through…” Vader speaks with despise and anger boils in the core of his heart, remembering he was there to console you.
It changes to you and him, fooling around. Pranks here, pranks there, laughters that make almost unbearable for him to hear. Specially because he senses of what comes next.
The goodbye. I could never tell her I loved her too. Damn it. Why didn’t you come back to me, Y/N?
Vader watches as the day one last tear rolls in your y/c eyes, the moment you find out he is married. Then comes the Clonic Wars—a reminder of his growing frustration because he could never reach out for you. Vader remembers the sleepless nights, thinking about you, wondering where you were, what you were doing, whether you got hurt. But then other matters came and…
And it matters little to remember his conflict with Obi-Wan the moment he sees you, now a grown woman, becoming a fugitive. When the Order 66 executed your friends, the family you’ve known. Vader, as much as he tries to, cannot dissociate from the vision.
The Force makes him watch your tormented, lonely nights. The fighting for survival. The ghost you’ve become…
Now I see why they called you Phantom.
And now… in the present, where could you possibly be?
It is when his thoughts are interrupted by the sound of an opening door. The metallic noise barely scratched and Vader turns his head abruptly only to see how badly injured you look.
You did put them a fight.
It only angers the Sith Lord. Vader yells something about bringing you unharmed. So long these two inquisitors barely leave alive and yet you survive his burst of anger.
I never stopped loving you, Y/N.
Is it too late to notice it, though?
***
Your POV.
When you open your eyes, regaining the lost conscience never felt so difficult as it is now. You struggle to breathe, your lungs are burning and you feel as if you are about to suffocate. Air is thin and inhaling it aches.
Yet, here you are. There is darkness around you, and it confuses your brain once you find yourself unable to identify where you are now.
“Y/N”, a husky voice startles you.
As a survivor of countless expositions to trauma events, you scream and jump to the point you roll out of bed and fall on the ground. It hurts, waking the pain there is in your body, every bruise that is like a super cut of you.
For you disassociated from yourself long time ago.
So you try to flee, but the Force prevents you to. You could fight if you like, but somehow…feels good being pulled. As if darkness is seducing you.
However, the moment you see a masked man dressed in black leather, you are breathless.
It feels as if I am standing before the face of death.
“Y/N”, he tells you, your name barely leaving his greeted teeth. You can’t see him, you can barely identify him, but the moment he pulls you closer, the one time his gloved fingers touch your shoulders, you know who he is.
“A-Anakin?” Your voice betrays you. And then suddenly there is light. But it matters little where you are. “Anakin, is that you? What have you become?”
The masked man clenches his jaw and you feel his grip around you tightening. You don’t need much to understand what had led him to his downfall.
It is as if I stare a waterfall. I try to swim against the river and yet the magnitude of how it flows leads me to the eventual catastrophe.
Could it be avoided, though?
“Are you well? Are you all right?”
You see through it. You just do. And you break from his tight grasp only to involve him in your arms. He is taken aback, unsure how to respond to this unexpected gesture.
“I am. All the better because you are here.”
This simply changes everything, does it not?
***
Vader’s POV.
He holds his breath. Static as he is, this Sith Lord is emptied into himself, stuck in a void where the evil within is frozen all the whilst the good that remains struggles to get to the surface. The emptiness only lasts momentarily, though.
If love is a sin, he is a sinner. Vader holds to it as he finally puts away the mask. He watches as you react in perplexity when realizing he is the man you once knew. Not that you expected differently, but Vader understands you did come to think he was more a machine than man.
However, when your hands move to his face, your warmth providing a contrast to his cold features, humanity comes outward, woven in a complexity of characteristics that neither could acknowledge it, less so to name them.
“You should have not left… Phantom”, there is despise in the form his tongue carries out the sobriquet attributed to you before the fall of Republic, but there is also pain in how he pronounces it.
The same pain that paints the y/c irises of yours.
“What option did I have?” And he never before felt cold when you drop your hands and stand one step behind, eyeing him with furrow brows. “You chose her. I would never stand in the way for your happiness.”
“I only chose her because you left me”, Vader growls under his breath.
You look pale and for a moment he is concerned you might weaken again. He steps forward in order to short the distance between you two. Vader wraps his hands around your neck as he draws you closer to him.
“What?” It’s all you say.
Vader studies you. He can hear the amount of mess that are much like screams in endless echos . Despair could have turned you into a mad woman, but in truth it is more a mechanism of surviving.
“You heard me well”, he responds, gentler this time. His gloved hands begin to caress your hair, untying it, eyes transfixed in the mess that your curls drop to your waist. Longer than once was, he observes.
“Anakin…”
The one hand that remains around your neck ties the trip to it, but not hard enough so you suffocate.
“It’s Vader, dear one”, he reminds you.
You close your eyes, too tired to ask questions. Curiously enough, his mere presence awakes that part of your heart that has always ached for him. Living in the shadows is not good for you.
Vader’s lips twitch in a small, sly smirk when capturing these thoughts. He reads you well. The dynamics between the two of you haven’t really changed.
“This is who I really am now”, he adds, eyeing the shade of silver that colors your hair. Almost an angel, an elf that looks too divine to grasp. Yet, to break through the sacred your Jedi aura gives away, Vader intends to corrupt you by taking what has always been his by right: your heart.
And he does so by kissing your lips.
***
Your POV.
You still struggle to the new routine your life is. Following Vader everywhere he goes, you, however, resist the dark impulses he tempts you.
“Am I your prisoner? Someone you can toy with?”, you are not afraid of speaking your mind to him.
You don’t fear him. Your boldness is, in fact, the trait he’s always admired in you, perhaps playing a part in those days where he encouraged you in developing it.
Vader’s features struggle against amusement as you snort at him, frustrated for being unable to leave the room. The harder you tried, the blocked you were. Eventually, he turns his head at you and moves to where you are.
“If you believed it to be true, would you be alive to come to these terms? You resist it because you miss your liberty, but in truth haven’t you been slaved to fear and seclusion?” It is only when you stop before him that he takes your face in his hands and his old self emerges to say: “You know I cannot and will not say goodbye to you. Not anymore. This is not a mistake I intend to do again.”
“In truth, Ani”, your voice breaks in a whisper, resting your head against his, eyes closed. “I am scared. I fear the abandonment and the problem is…What if you leave me to die?”
“All this power I have in me will not set us apart. Haven’t I showed you…”
He is bewildered when you shush his words, kissing his lips fervently. If there was reluctance in being with him, in joining his side, this dissipates. You let darkness flows in you, but only because you finally realize it’s always been there—it is part of who you are. Like the sun who needs the moon, your light needs darkness.
And Vader feels your balance when his lips are pressed against yours. It’s delightfully tempting, one of the kind he cannot—and will not—resist.
“Be mine”, you urge him desperately as your hands do not content themselves with playing with his curly hair or stroking his face, but demove him off his robes.
Vader smirks as you scoff underneath your breath before he pins you against the wall and forces you to look at him when he is now shirtless.
“Are you mine?”, he wraps one hand around your neck again and he is aroused by how you lean into it, enjoying to submit to him. “Uh? Say it, Y/N!”
You gasp for air before saying:
“I am yours. As long as you are mine.”
How earnest is to devour each other’s souls when emerging the fleshes into a deeper bond once clothed are tossed aside. There is nothing—no light, no dark; no Jedi, no Sith—to stand between the two of you as he kisses your exposed neck, hands now moving up and down your back, with his fingertips digging into your skin as he leaves traces of bruises all over your neck to your shoulders.
Famine for his affection, you are fed with his devotion. Vader wants you and greedy is his touch when pursuing you. He feels the weight of it pulsing against the leather, but your hands are soon there and to his surprise, you are quick to take a sweet hold of it.
Somewhere in between, your eyes are locked in one flaming gaze, though filled with the deep, intense affection one feels for the other.
And it was right there as he lifts your legs to be wrapped in between, ready to slide inside you, you hear of his voice the desperation that once broke you in the past:
“I love you, Y/N.”
And by saying so, he kisses you tenderly. And you correspond happily.

Skywalkers are immortal eldritch fucks (there’s so many ways this can go)
1. How does being half-force affect Anakin as a force ghost
Anakin... wasn't properly dead. just a bit too present, a bit too lively, and that if only someone pulled hard enough on the veil, he could be made to bleed again.
Anakin just keeps coming back to life, And so do Luke and Leia when they die.
"You've done it, you've killed Anakin fucking Skywalker. Wait, why is he standing behind you? Where's his body gone? Oh fuck, what is that expression? Oh no!"
This happens to Vader and terrifies the f*ck out of literally everyone
the man is the son of the Force, yes? how could he "become one with it" if he basically already was part of it? or at least, made of it?
It'd be either kinda horrifying or basically a regenerate-your-limbs get out of jail free card
Anakin turns up in Luke's temple one day, like "hey turns out I can't die"
Luke is just happy to have a Dad
imagine the backlash if that little factoid ever went public. "What do you mean Darth Vader can't die???"
"You mean he's alive right now????"
Obi-Wan realising he can't have a peaceful retirement in the afterlife because Anakin's apparently immortal now
Anakin starts trying to figure out how to make Obi wan immortal too
Ahsoka is so confused at everything
"You look a lot like the Hero with No Fear from the Clone Wars. Are you his grandson or something?"
"Nope, I am him."
"Freaking weird Jedi and their not aging."
 2. how terrifying it would have been if during the Dooku fight in AOTC his arm just regrew the moment it was cut off
3. them realizing this during the clone wars: CHECKMATE BITCHES
imagine the propaganda if there was a General who literally couldn't die
the Seperatists wouldn't know which way was up anymore
Anakin realised he had this sort of ability during the clone wars it would be hilarious to see him just throwing himself at things
he could protect his men better
Imagine how distressing it would be for a shiny to just see their general die and then come back seconds later
And Rex being like "Yep, the general does that."
just rubbing his eyes. and being completely done
Imagine the bitching sessions with Cody "At least yours resurrects! Mine just runs off without his kriffing lightsaber and armor all the time!"
clone boys have a heart attack whenever their general just decides to regrow limbs
rex faints the first time he sees anakin's arm grow back.
instead of the whole "my general keeps losing his lightsaber" it becomes "my general keeps losing his arm"
"My general keeps dying."
"Oh, how many have you been assigned to now?"
"No, no, he gets better again afterwards."
the 501st never tell the shinies that their general is immortal because the vets like to fuck around like that
it's kind of a right of passage for shinies to almost have a heart attack when the general comes back from the dead
Anakin is basically just the "if all else fails" option at that point because no matter what happens to him, he will be back at the temple annoying the hell out of everyone before dinner time
Anakin gets mortally wounded and is like "Well, I'll see you in five."
Droids: * shoot Anakin *
 * Anakin: * dies *
Anakin, 5 minutes later in the middle of a crowd of droids: SURPRISE BITCHES!! * Murders them all *
Anakin dying to Dooku at the end of Attack of the Clones and then coming back and Dooku just being like "Fuck this shit I'm out."
him coming back and chasing dooku with his arm
Imagine the moment they find out Anakin can come back from the dead:
Ahsoka and Obi-Wan just sobbing their hearts out and then suddenly he's behind them like "Hey, bold of you to presume I'm mortal."
He pulls a Percy Jackson, and walks into his funeral.
mace windu utters a quiet "are you fucking kidding me"
next time anakin dies, his funeral includes a "welcome home anakin" banner
Mace stops letting the Yoda Lineage have funerals because they don't stay dead
They keep having funerals for Anakin just as an excuse to have a party
what if politicians don't know this. like the first time he dies during the war, and all the diplomats are there. Except Padme. She knows all and is just there to see the chaos.
They're usually private funerals, so they can keep inviting new people to screw with
"general skywalker just died"
"senator he's right here"
"i saw him die protecting me right before my eyes"
"senator do you need the healers?"
Obi-Wan, just watched Anakin go splat at the bottom of a ravine:
“ANAKIN!!”
Anakin, popping back into the mortal coil just behind him: “Yeah? What's up?”
obi-wan finding out about a Anakins thing and keeping it a secret,
so one day anakin dies and the whole council is like, mourning
obi-wan is just rolling his eyes and saying “it’s fine he’ll be back”
everyone thinks obi-wans having a mental breakdown
but then anakin walks into his funeral with a cup of caf and sunglasses and flashes everyone a peace sign
All of Yoda’s lineage (except dooku) and padme know.
"can you guys not cover me in white next time? it's pretty boring"
"can i get, like, glitter? is that a thing? make it a thing"
Skywalkers can also breath in space.
They just don’t have to breathe.
4. THE FORCE IS A PROACTIVE PARENT IN THIS (AND AGENDER) (THEY/THEM PRONOUNS)
during the time it takes for him to resurrect, the force and anakin talked.
Bc that's the only time he could talk with a tangible parent.
he learns about palps that way
one time Anakin dies twice in one day
turns out the ability has a bit of a cooldown time so everyone's just panicking a bit because he should be back by now
then he appears like three days later
Obi-Wan's like "You bastard."
"Gotta keep you on your toes."
Really his parent just wanted some more time with him, and who was he to refuse?
a cracky! anakin basically having annual dinners with The Force because of how often he dies in the clone wars
in this verse the clone wars was created so Anakin & his parent The Force can have family dinners
Mortis, but instead of All That Nonsense, it's just a nice episode of meet the parent
padme dies, and then at her funeral she comes back, but force sensitive.
force sensitive, immortal, padme amidala. The seppies are going DOWN
The Force wills Padme to die because The Force wants to meet their daughter in law
It does this for basically everyone Anakin cares about
sometimes anakin and padme just drop dead, and wake up a few hours later bc they had a family dinner to get to.
"I'm going to kill you" is suddenly the literal way for Anakin to say "I love you"
Anakin dies on Mandalore and Satine witnesses it and she's horrified and doesn't know what to tell Obi-Wan but then she sees Obi-Wan talking to Anakin and she's so confused
So if anakin kills you and you’re someone he cares about you come back to life immortal.
Death By Skywalker basically being a way of becoming immortal is gonna fuck with the war so much
when Palpatine tells Anakin to kill all the jedi he thinks Palpatine is telling him to invite all the jedi to his Force Family Dinner
One day the entire Jedi temple just dies all at once, and comes back a couple hours later, to the confusion of literally everyone (including the Jedi)
yoda is frequently killed to spend time with the force because after 900 years the two of them are tight as fuck
Anakin doesn’t have attachment issues in this bc hey, people die all the time! :)
He also ends up being worshipped as a demigod.
More Angsty version of this: young anakin kills palps bc he thinks he'll resurrect, but then the tangible form of the force appears and explains that he was the sith master.
Palpatine would probably actually try to get Anakin to kill him, because hey! Free immortality! Don't mind if i do!
5. Imagine if this was something he discovered as a little kid. Anakin going off to visit Qui-Gon in the force and Obi-Wan wondering what eldritch beast he has ended up with as a padawan
"Anakin what are you doing?"
"I'm making master Qui-Gon a friendship bracelet?"
"...master qui gon?"
"yeah! i gave one to my parent yesterday and master qui-gon said he wanted one too!"
"Your parent? when exactly was this yesterday?"
anakin being a convoy for dead masters and their old padawans like Weed Dad qui gon jinn and his Struggling Son obi wan
anakin has two parents
Parent and Mom

heyy Megan, I'm trying to do a character study on Anakin but im finding very limited information online. what do you think are some of his worst and best traits? his personality, humor and like his values? thank you so much,, hope you have a good day/night
omg hi!! thank you for asking me!!
*cracks knuckles* let’s get into it
anakin skywalker character analysis
best traits:
intelligence, overall skill, curiosity
anakin was building droids from scraps when he was a child. he spoke huttese and basic from a young age, as well. he’s an insane battle strategist, wonderfully skilled in battle/with a lightsaber, and incredible pilot! he can pick up new skills quickly, as well. i’m just gonna link this post by @chokemeanakin bc it just sums it up real nice.. but yes smart boy love him
compassion, capacity for emotions, empathy, understanding
anakin feels things deeply. i’ve talked about this a lot before lol. but yeah he is frequently in conflict over the sheer weight of the emotions he carries. further, as a jedi, this is not something his peers could relate to. but he always tries to be there for his friends and would do anything to ease their pain. and i think that anakin seeks to understand others. he’s spent so much of his life feeling alone and like no one related to him; he wants to know how other people work, feel, and think.
loyalty, friendship, caring
anakin is so fucking loyal to those he loves. and, tying into my previous point, he loves deeply. he cares, he always has. he treats droids as humans and forms attachments, even though they may be forbidden. he held onto that need for love, for connection even after he joined the order. and he would defend those he loves til the very end...
selflessness, protectiveness, bravery
anakin would literally dive headfirst into danger to save someone he loves. he doesn’t care about hurting himself or honestly whatever happens to him, as long as those he cares for are safe.
worst traits:
impulsivity, recklessness
i think we’ve all seen anakin be a bit impulsive at times... sometimes, he just doesn’t think everything through. this is especially clear when someone he loves is in danger. anakin’s lost so many people that when he’s faced with the threat of losing another, his judgment can become clouded.
insecurity, jealousy, fear
anakin is frequently jealous, which stems from his insecurities. he was probably conflicted a lot; brought into the order as a young child and told he was the chosen one. the weight of the galaxy was placed on his shoulders and, yet, he was held back in classes as a padawan, he didn’t make rank (canonically). i think these things are what allowed palpatine to manipulate him; palpatine knew anakin was afraid, insecure, and, yet, arrogant (my next point dw). he tapped into this and because anakin and the council did not have much mutual trust (aside from like obi-wan), it was easier to get to him. especially because palpatine used anakin’s fear of losing padme and his unborn children to do so. fuck palpatine bro-
arrogance
yes, anakin was insecure. yes, he was also arrogant. let me explain myself. he occassionally rushes into things without thinking, thinking he can handle them. i think a lot of this stems from being told he was the chosen one from such a young age. that title combined with his skill?! it makes sense he’d internalize it. i am now going to stop myself before i rant about how the gifted education system is a fuckfest. this is coming from someone who spent years in that program. anyway-
personality/overall rant about his life/motivations:
i think i summed up a lot of his personality within the best and worst traits because i got ahead of myself but im going to say some more!! i think a lot of anakin’s personality is dependent on his deep capacity for emotions. you can see that throughout ROTS, he was conflicted almost all the time. he grew up as a slave and all he wanted was to protect his mother. he built droids to help her and competed in podraces to tryand get them anything that could help.
then, he was taken to the order. suddenly, all these amazing traits he has make sense!! but then the person who’s supposed to train him (qui-gon) dies after anakin’s only known him for a short period of time. anakin’s attachment issues are abundant (i don’t think i need to explain that one) so of course he grows close to obi-wan! but obi-wan was trying to be strong for anakin. even though obi-wan struggled himself with attachment, he tried to be strong and put up a front as a “good” jedi for anakin to look up to. while this was helpful, anakin probably just felt more conflicted, as no one in his life could relate to the bredth of emotions he felt. this caused him to be more introverted and withdrawn (i talk about that in this post)
then, he loses his mother, she dies in his arms. the only person he’d wanted to protect from a young age, who he left to join the jedi, dies in his arms. he blames himself for this, thinking he should have gotten there faster, should have done something more. he probably also blamed the jedi, to at least some extent. why do these powers matter if they can’t save the people he loves? i believe he acted out of anger, killing the tuskens, because (at least to some degree) of the jedi. instead of teaching him how to express his emotions (pain, fear, loss, grief, etc.), they train him. to some degree, he might think all he’s good for is these skills. so he acts out of anger, slaughtering them.
and then finally he finds someone who loves him in the way he wants to be loved. padme stays by his side, even after he killed the tuskens. she sees the good in him and treats him as a man, not a prophecy. but once again, this motif of fear remains! he has to hide this love, one of the only pure and good things in his life! he has to live in fear every second of every day because, if the council finds out that he found happiness and love, everything is ruined.
but then he starts getting the vision’s that padme will die. and not just padme, now his unborn children could die, too. the one thing he has that is good and purely his could now be ripped away. he knew he was helpless, knew there was nothing he could do to stop it by himself. the council isn’t that helpful, telling him to learn to let it go with the force. while that might help any other jedi, it just pushed anakin away. he would never be able to just surrender and let go to the force, not when the life of his entire family is at risk!
and he finds palpatine, someonoe who has spent years trying to manipulate him. but palpatine is smart, he’s cunning. anakin didn’t know what the real intentions were and, truly, he probably didn’t want to know. he was blinded by his fear and if anything could save padme, he would do it. then the council try to get him to spy on palpatine. again, conflict. anakin’s loyalty is repeatedly questioned and pushed and prodded, he was probably so confused! he didn’t know who to trust. but, when you combine the current situation with his backstory with who he is and what he cares about, it makes sense why it all happened.
this is what i mean when i say conflict. he was pulled in a million directions constantly. and we all know how his story ends and i don’t want to cry so i’m not gonna detail it...
also: i’m not saying any of this excuses all of his choices, but it does explain them.
humor:
lowkey a dork
he is. and i love that about him. you can see this in the way he flirts with padme sometimes... like floating the pear to her and the whole “i don’t like sand” thing. he’s a fucking dork. can’t exactly blame him nor do i hold it against him! he didn’t have many close friends growing up and he was like pining for padme for years so it’s not like he spent that time creating a playbook
he’s also witty!
i think this comes with his intelligence; he’s witty and he’s quick. example: “general grievous, you’re shorter than i expected.” i mean he’s no sass-king obi-wan kenobi but anakin definitely can hold his own in a verbal sparring match!
also i headcanon him as having horrible puns but loving them!
values:
love, friendship, connections
at his core, anakin just wants to find someone who understands him and his emotions. who can relate to him. he wants those connections; in fact, he actively seeks them out. love is a key part of his identity. i talk about this in this post about his love languages so imma just link it there!
success, validation
tying into his determination, anakin wants to do well! he pushes himself and i think he’s a perfectionist, too. you can see this in the way he holds himself as a general; he doesn’t slack off, doesn’t not care. he understands the responsibility he has in that role and he takes it seriously! and just in his overall skill level, even though he was a bit of a child-prodigy, he clearly spent a long time training. he probably also had some imposter syndrome going on and was constantly trying to prove his worth.
----
uhh yeah i think i got everything?? yes?? he’s so complex and i legit love him immensely. doing character analysis for anakin is my favorite thing in the entire universe! if anyone has anything they want to add, please feel free!!

Endrali ! 💜🖤💚❤️💕
(There's a couple* I'm not 100% sure I grabbed the right one bc the emojis look different between the ask and the post for some reason? So I'm sorry if I answered the wrong one 😅)
💜: how long might it take for my muse to say “i love you” for the first time?
Once she realizes she’s in love? Only as long as it takes to find a good moment to bring it up, if she feels there’s maybe a chance the feeling is reciprocated. If she felt like the guy wasn’t feeling the same she’d keep her mouth shut forever.
❤: does my muse consider themselves a romantic? *
She doesn’t consider herself a terribly romantic person, no. She’s definitely capable of romantic love, but she’s not the type to do the big showy grand gestures or eloquent confessions that (right or wrong) usually get associated with Being Romantic, so she wouldn’t call herself a romantic.
💚: how does my muse feel about love? about falling in love? about being in love?
All wonderful things, as long as you don’t let them become all consuming. Love is a form of bond between two people, not much different from a friendship or the one between master and padawan. Falling in love... she’s vaguely curious about how it feels before it actually happens to her. In the sense of going “huh, wonder what that’s like?” and then going about her day. When it actually happens to her it’s a rush(and a mess bc she had to go and fall for a literal former tyrant oops). Being in love is equal parts wonderful and terrifying, having someone she cares about that much.
💓: how does my muse feel about physical intimacy?*
heh hehehe. /cough Oh, she’s more than alright with it, at least in the confines of a committed relationship(or one that’s headed that way). Not very comfortable with the idea of casual sex, but that’s an opinion she keeps to herself bc she knows it’s not a terribly popular one.
💕: how does my muse express their feelings? do they do through small but meaningful gestures, or through bold declarations?
She’s definitely more small meaningful gestures, though she isn’t shy about being plain with her feelings when there’s a need for it(like a certain former emperor with self-worth issues). She’s forthright but gentle about it, the type to share food bc she knows he skipped a meal or hold his hand to give him an anchor if they’re meditating together, or any of a dozen other small kindnesses that add up to be pretty big.

For the slow burn meme Obi-Wan Kenobi Wolverine Padme Amidala
once again under the cut because I have zero control.
slowburn: Obi Wan, I feel this is a given. I'm a fellow Jedi and we've basically known each other our entire lives and we've always been friends, even after we both become padawans and spend less time together (we always try to make time for each other though). Then TPM happens and I'm still a knight but my bestie is a master and has a padawan of his own but I'm too busy worrying about Obi Wan's health to even think of being jealous of him. Obi Wan is basically falling apart so I'm around as much as I can to help him keep it together and help him raise Anakin. The inherent bond of raising a child together strengthens our friendship and sparks start flying, but obviously Obi Wan doesn't want to break the Code and I just don't want to push him while he's still grieving. AOTC happens and we're at war. There's still an unspoken thing between us and now it's worse because either of us could die at any moment but we still say nothing. Then the Empire arrives and well, Obi Wan takes off with Luke, and I go with Leia and Bail (to act as a silent guardian from a distance), and before we part ways, Obi Wan attempts to confess, but I stop him, because if he says it, I won't be able to let him go. (alternate ending: I go with him and we once again are driven together by the inherent bond of watching over a child. we're married by the third week on Tatooine.)
fake date: Padme! AU where she's not married to Anakin and they're very close friends instead. We're both senators and our planets have a history of tense relationships, and the respective rulers of our planets are working on a peace treaty. They come together and go "You know what would make our citizens more open to a peace treaty? if our beloved senators dated each other." And of course for the sake of peace, we date each other. It's all over space twitter. The two of us have never had much animosity between us, which makes it a lot easier. And of course, it's easier to deal with the space tabloids all up in your relationship if the whole point of your relationship is to be in the space tabloids and help better relationships between our people. Padme and I become very good friends through our relationship, and uh, accidentally we fall in love very quickly (Padme is impulsive and frankly I can't blame Anakin for falling for her so quickly) but neither of us want to say so bc "this is meant to be fake!!!" Padme spends a lot of time lying on the floor and groaning about it to Anakin. Of course, when the peace treaty is accepted by both of our people's, we're like "Well we have to wait awhile before we can break up or else everyone will know." Time goes by. We don't break up. We confess and we get married. space twitter blows up with excitement.
enemies to lovers: Wolverine. (the Days of Future Past universe.) Not so much bc we actually are enemies but because we simply do not like each other. We can get along, simply because Sentinels are fucking everywhere and actually being enemies-enemies is harder when you're on the same team, but we hate each other. I don't like his attitude, he simply can't give a shit about me because if I don't like him what can he do about it? But we're forced to work together, not just because of the world being in chaos, but because *hand-wavey reasons* we're both the ones being sent back to the 70s to stop Trask and save the future. We put aside our differences to work together and through working with the disasters that are 70s Charles and Erik we gain a deeper respect for each other because hey - at least we aren't THEM. And I see Logan's softer side as he deals with depressed 70s Charles and my heart melts a little but I'm not telling him that. Then we're violently returned to the future and we're the ONLY ones who remember all of the terrible, tragic things that happened before we changed everything, so we have to find solace in each other when struggling to deal with things that technically never even happened.
send me 3 characters and I’ll do slowburn/fake date/ enemies to lovers

~~~~~~~~~
Life with Obi-Wan was never boring. Your life before Obi-Wan was pretty eventful but as soon as you met him eventful turned into a chaotic mess.
You used to be a bounty hunter, a pretty good one at that. Catching people for credits, dead or alive. Your last peaceful bounty, as peaceful as they get, was a Sith lord. He was known by the name of Darth Fortis and was said to be very powerful. No other bounty hunter dared to take up the bounty but you were cocky and prideful. You thought you could take him down. And how wrong you were.
Granted, you did find him. That was a feat by itself. He was damn near unfindable but you managed the impossible. You did regret your life decisions as soon as you found him, that’s for sure.
He was hidden inside a cave on a planet you didn’t even know the name of far in the outer rim. As soon as you stepped foot in the cave you felt that this was not going to end well. You didn’t even need the force to feel his power. You knew that you were not going to win this fight if you tried, so you went with another route.
A voice had emerged from the darkness. “I’d choose your next words very carefully.” The voice sent shivers through your spine but that didn’t hold you back.
“You are Darth Fortis are you not?” The voice chuckled and a figure emerged from the shadows. A man covered in dark robes came into vision. You could make out the slight outlines of his face and beard, but that was all you could see of him. Your hand was on the blaster strapped to your thigh. The figure spoke up again.
“That depends on who is asking.”
“Someone that is not afraid of you.” You knew this was a risky move and that you should be scared but something told you that you didn’t have to be.
“Is that so? Then why is your hand on your blaster?” He cocked his head to the right, questioning your moves.
“In my opinion it always serves to be on guard. I might not be afraid but I can never be sure of your next move.” His face returned to it’s previous position and his left hand came up to stroke his beard. It was quiet. That is until the figure ignited his lightsaber. The faint humming of the weapon now filling the cave, illuminating everything with a red hue. You could now make out his face.
His hair was slicked back under the cloak covering his head. His eyes were narrowed and housed a yellow color. The beard on his chin was full and well groomed.
“No flinching, curious.” The figure spoke again. “Yes. I am Darth Fortis. Why are you here.”
“I am here to join you.” And that’s how your story began.
~
He allowed you to join him but always kept an eye on you. He was expecting you to turn on him at any time and so, couldn’t trust you. It was your personal mission to earn his trust, bounty long forgotten. So you helped him.
You stood by his side and helped him with every task the Emperor thrust on him. And before long you did manage to earn that trust you were seeking. He began confiding in you, spilling his troubles and encouraging you to do the same thing. He told you about his training and his plans to overthrow the Emperor. You kept it all to yourself.
It was safe to say that you were friends, but that was not enough for you. Feelings had started to develop for the sith lord. Feelings that surpassed the point of a mere friendship. You did spent every waking minute together. You shared a living space on Coruscant for slow days without assignments and training.
It was one of those days that your friendship blossomed into something more. You had been feeling for Obi-Wan, as you had by now learned was his real name, for several weeks. Okay well, probably longer than that but you realised it only a few weeks ago. And even though you didn’t try anything, the dynamics of your relationship changed anyways.
The slow days had always been comfortable but instead of both reading a different book on the other side of the room Obi-Wan started reading his book aloud while you laid your head on his legs. His hand would play with your hair while the other held the datapad that contained his book. His smooth voice speaking in a language that you couldn’t understand.
You took that one moment to stop the pining. You grabbed the datapad and gently took it from his hand. He raised an eyebrow and looked down at you. You sat up and scooted closer. You brought your hand up to cup his jaw, his beard tickling your palm. You looked down at his lips and as you looked back up you realised that he was doing the very same thing. So you scrambled all your courage together and leaned in.
The moment your lips met it felt as if it was always meant to be like this. Your lips moved in a gentle way. His lips were slightly chapped and his beard scratched your face but you couldn’t care less right at this moment. All you were focused on were his lips on yours and his arm that was firmly circled around your waist to keep you close. His other hand was buried in your hair, mirroring the way yours were in his.
~
It was one of the slow days again. It has been months since you first kissed and you had only grown closer over time. You and Obi-Wan hadn’t had one of these in a long time. With assignments for the emperor and Obi-Wan’s plan to overthrow him in full swing now. You used this rare day to catch up on sleep and to rest in general.
You were lounging in bed, your head on Obi-Wan’s chest. His right arm was around your neck and over your shoulder to rest in the valley between your breasts. There was something so odd about dating a sith lord. You saw two very different versions of the man. One, when he was with other people. He could be menacing, cruel even. But as soon as the two of you were together in your living quarters his demeanor switched.
Obi-Wan was a nice man underneath all the masks and the yellow eyes. He cared for you and would go to the ends of the galaxy for your love. And you believed him. That’s why you were comfortable with asking him a question like this.
“Would you ever consider to have children?” The question must have come as a surprise to your sith. You had never talked about this, hell, you never even saw any children together. Except you have been thinking about this for a while. You had always wanted a family as when you were financially stable and didn’t have to be a bounty hunter for a living anymore. Even though your lifestyle changed and you might say that it has become more dangerous, it is actually quite stable. You would have a powerful sith lord protecting your every move and as soon as his plan for Palpatine was finished there would be little to zero threats.
When you looked up at Obi-Wan after a few moments he was already looking at you. He might be looking at you but his mind was clearly somewhere else. He was in thought. You were slightly regretting your choices by now. Maybe this was a touchy subject. One that he did not want to talk about.
“You don’t have to answer if you don’t want to.”
He wanted to answer. But he wasn’t sure what to answer. Yes, he liked the idea of having a child. He’s raised a boy before and has enjoyed every single moment of that. And the more he thinks about it the more his answer becomes clear in his mind.
“I would. When I was a jedi I never really gave it much thought. The closest I could come to a child was a padawan. A padawan you were supposed to let go of eventually. But I want more than that. A child that is equal parts you and me. A product of the love I feel for you.” You sat up smiling. You don’t know what you expected but this was definitely a very good scenario.
“But.” There it is. The but. “I want to give this child peace. Our little one should not have to live with a parent that is absent most of the time. Which would be the case right now.” He sighed and sunk further into the bed, pulling you to lay down again. “If we were to have this child it would have to be when we’ve gotten rid of Palpatine. And after we’re married.”
This conversation alone confirmed every thought about his love for you that you have ever had. He would do anything for you. You, him and eventually your son or daughter.
Alrighty!!! Since you liked part one well do part two and see how many I get through
“How can I love the heartbreak...” I don’t know if this has a particular character it reminds me of, it’s just sad
“Ending Scene” feels like it’s about all the master-padawan relationships the war ended bc one of the two died
“A Sunny Winter’s Day” is about the bond between the clones and their Jedi it has the vibe that in all the horribleness, the friendship is the one good thing to come out of it all
“Someday, The Boy” this is feels like the lost childhood of the padawans and clones the yearning is so very painful
“Me After You” this feels like another Obi-wan song except he’s apologizing to all the people he wasn’t able to protect or help or do anything for
“Run With Me” feels like a Padme song, as she’s watching the Republic spiral into a cesspool of corruption
“Sun and Moon” feels like an Anakin and Ahsoka song, right before she leaves because Anakin wants his little sister to STAY and she’s breaking his heart
“Photo of my Mind” feels like it’s also about lost innocence, maybe something with Numa and the innocents of Ryloth arc?
More upcoming, whenever I have time but this is totally making me THINK hope you have a lovely day Caroline -frost
aaaaah, yes frost!!! this is all so beautiful, and i’m so--yeah, how can i love the heartbreak, you’re the one i love was always a song that gave me a lot of anakin and ahsoka vibes, just because of these really specific lyrics that go something like “i look at you walking without me” and “should i turn back a couple times / we walk along together upon the desolate road / conversation lacking substance / we look out into the distance where the light shines” which,,,,,many sad vibes.
and aaah, yes ending scene is also lovely and sad, and you are absolutely right in that it would feel like a master-padawan relationship that the war ended,,,there’s one line that’s like “your seat is always the same, by the cold entrance” and “make sure you eat well, because it’ll pass / you’ll be able to sleep like you did before” and OUCH
and also yes, a sunny winter’s day def. gives me the vibes of the clones and their jedi just because it’s so bittersweet? and also, just like....this promise that there are still going to be happy memories? like, just the lyrics “even if you hate each other and turn around / you and i will always be sunny”
oh, and i’m glad that you mentioned someday, the boy, because OHHH BOY YHEAH I HAVE MANY FEELINGS ABOUT THIS SONG because of lyrics like “you’ve grown up with every passing moment / holding on to the sadness of your youth” and “time has since raised me / and tells me to step into the world now / my past self would then ask me / if i’m happy enough to smile now”,,,,like,,,,yeah. you’re right, because there’s so much stuff here about growing pains and :’((
AND GAH FROST YOU’VE KILLED ME WITH COMPARING me after you WITH OBI-WAN I--but yeah, the last lyrics “i’m sorry that i couldn't do more for you / i’m selfish and nervous / but i wanted to treat you well” (no obi babe you did all that you could i-- :((()
AND OMG YEAH FROST i also thought exactly of padme when listening to run away with me, just because of the quiet “let’s go away / let’s lie down our worries for a moment”, like........parallel that with padme asking anakin for them to just hold each other like they did on naboo where there’s no war and etc...yeah. sad :(((
also, oh boy yeah sun and moon is a whole anakin and ahsoka vibe! just,,,,the soft “so walk with me till the end” and “i promise i won’t leave you / like day and night / you and i” GAH parallel that with anakin saying that he would never let anyone hurt ahsoka / ahsoka saying that she won’t leave anakin HELP
AND OMG FROST,,,,photo of my mind when you mentioned NUMA I THINK I JUST LOST IT--no, because you’re so right, there’s def. some lost innocence there? also, just from purely an aesthetics perspective, this def. sounds like a song that would just...be hauntingly song as numa watches waxer and boil leave no i am in pain now HELP (also, the lyrics “alone in this place where we walked together / i’m calling out your name”, HELP)
anyways, YES, thank you so much for popping into my inbox with this frost!! it was def. something that made me smile :’)))
Harana - Padawan!Obi-Wan x Reader
A/N: Man I really sat on this wip for 3 whole ass years. OBI-WAN AND INFINITE SADNESS? I DON’T KNOW HER. I ONLY KNOW TEA AND MIST DIFFUSERS. There are some sneaky references to Casablanca in here and a section of Anne of Avonlea.
Harana in the rural Filipino tradition is the act of courtship by serenading (with guitar) and often has the serenadee to respond back in kind (also with guitar). Often your bros would help you woo a girl by being your back up players and singers. Imagine Romeo and Juliet balcony but with significantly more guitars and second-hand embarrassment. Also the wookiepedia entry on music is absolutely WILD. (Reposting bc tumblr hates me and the tags were broken)
Perhaps you’d foolishly consider yourself a hopeless romantic.
It just seemed one of those days: sunny and the breeze just a touch warm, the scent of Ithorian roses and Sachi blossoms drifting upon it as you spent a day idly reading upon the balcony of your apartment. Somehow it was as if nothing could go wrong. Not spilling your tea all over the counter, not making your bath far, far too warm, hells not even the dozens of unopened messages on your comm could ruin the quiet serenity you were feeling.
And you may as well enjoy it after all, this reprieve from the tedium of study would only last for a few more days. You’d spent enough time watching holo-movies and idly playing music upon your old guitar as it was. It was time to finally work through that pile of reading you had always intended to get to.
The sun was slowly descending beyond the rolling hills at the horizon and you were well into your bookchip now. A story you felt viscerally, had read and re-read so many times and yet you yearned and pined and loved alongside the protagonists of the story. You would always smile, feeling your soul alight as your eyes traced the words upon the screen. Perhaps that explosive, violent love was never for you. The ones they showed in holodramas where the lovers would dramatically meet at the docking bay for one last passionate kiss. A confession and a farewell all at once. No, you ached for something quieter. Something as constant and warm as sunlight.
‘Perhaps, after all,’ you read, ‘romance did not come into one’s life with pomp and blare, like a Jedi knight flying down; perhaps it crept to one’s side like an old friend through quiet ways; perhaps it revealed itself in seeming prose, until some shaft of illumination flung athwart its pages betrayed the rhythm and the music; perhaps… perhaps… love unfolded naturally out of a beautiful friendship- ’
You were suddenly pulled out of your reverie at the sound of footsteps and the murmur of a voice.
“Who’s there?” Your hands gripped at a small blaster in the folds of your dress in reaction to the sudden sound, eyes frantically scanning the deceptively serene balcony. Datapad in hand, you slowly made your way to the wide stone ledge. Carefully brushing off fallen blush-coloured petals you precariously leaned over, checking for any assailants below the ledge. Granted it was a stupid idea, but it was worth a shot anyway.
What you hadn’t been expecting was a young man sitting on a balcony ledge below, quietly singing to himself as he stared out into the far distance.
Kriff abort mission, no, nooooooo….nah... nope can’t do this.
You really couldn’t, he looked far too peaceful with one leg tucked under his arm, the other lazily over-hanging his ledge as half-lidded crystal eyes stared out to the peaceful idyll of distant lakes and hills. And yet, you were still there, half-falling off your ledge and staring at this boy as if you’d been ordered to memorise his appearance in order to assassinate him in the marketplace tomorrow. But something tugged at the back of your mind as you took in his relaxed robes in a sort of cream colour, the brown cloak discarded carelessly upon the balcony floor and what appeared to be a braid peeking out from behind his ear-
Oh no, oh kriff… oh kriff, kriff.
You were unaware that the Jedi were even allowed to sing. You’d always been taught that they were a hermit-y sort that didn’t do the whole singing-and-dancing-and-women-and-drink-and-wine-and-merriment sort of thing. Probably spent their free time herding shaak and the like.
But clearly you were very, very wrong.
He was a wonderful singer. His voice carrying the romantic yet mournful tune that you must have heard somewhere before. Was it a play? No, it must have been one of those sweeping holo-movies that always seemed to make every being in the room cry as the battered cantina owner lamented the return of his lost love. What was it? He’d refused to have that song played ever again? And yet he did, drinking whiskey, a single tear falling down his noble features. They’d always have Correlia, he’d say, assuring himself that he truly was fine and not crumbling apart within.
And that young man was still singing the tune, and you… you were simply transfixed at his beauty and his serenity, wondering what other power in the galaxy had blessed him so with coppery hair that glistened just so under the blaze of the setting sun.
“Hello there!” He turned suddenly and cheerfully waved to you.
There were many things you would tell people in the future about that time you first encountered the famous General Kenobi; “The Negotiator”. His kindness, his laughter, his smile…What you wouldn’t tell them, was the absolute mess you’d made of yourself while you fell off your balcony ledge and onto your tiled floor.
Like a complete and absolute ass.
Oh and your pad had tumbled off the marbled edge and cluttered upon the tiles of the Jedi’s balcony.
But it was alright with the coppery-haired piece of shit, apparently. He was profusely apologising and bounding up with his magical force powers to stand upon the narrow ledge on the other side of the stone balustrade.
“Are you alright?” He tilted his head in confusion, padawan braid swinging against his chest. You felt your mouth open and close, but you doubted anything escaped. “It appears your pad has smashed itself into smithereens.”
“I-I,”
“You can speak Basic, can’t you? If not, I can translate into-” He offered very quickly,
“No, of course I can speak Basic, I was just…” Gingerly, you prised yourself off the floor, dusting down rumpled skirts and staring at the odd Jedi. “You’re a wonderful singer,” you blurted.
“Well thank you,” He replied, a little flustered, a hand moving to fiddle with his cute little nerf tail.
Cute. Cute? Kriff, you’d only been talking to the boy for the last thirty seconds. Surely this was a new record.
“I didn’t know Jedi sang,” You rambled on and you simply knew that heat would be pooling up in your face for the boy to see-
Oh no, it was fine, he was turning a rather charming shade of pink too. It only seemed to get worse, didn’t it? Oh of course, of course he was cursed with dimples. You really should have just cut your losses and fled.
He laughed, swinging a leg over your balustrade and sitting upon it. “Oh we sing sometimes, my master says it drives him up the walls. But I am sorry, I’ve been terribly impolite. I’m Obi-Wan Kenobi, Padawan learner.” He held out a hand and you took it, shaking it as well as you could given your dazed circumstances. You were pretty sure, however, that you at least managed to give him your name.
“Well, Y/N, however can I make this up to you?” He gestured to the mangled, metallic remains below. “It is more or less my fault and-”
He still had not let go of your hand, and despite all common sense, you found no reason to let go. How could you? Obi-Wan (you had the sneaking suspicion it would roll off your tongue) continued rambling and you merely stepped away, your hand fighting to remain in his until you were too far, finger tips brushing against a calloused palm.
“Wait here,” You said, placating the concerned look that had passed before his face. Your feet traced the path through your room, eyes frantically scanning for the sight of warm Kashyyk wood before hefting it into your hands and quickly returning to the waiting Jedi. You noticed with some amusement that he’d balled his hands into the sleeves of his robes. “That pad was old anyway,”
He raised a sceptical brow, “Your face certainly said otherwise,”
“It doesn’t really matter. I’d read that story enough times to recite it in my sleep.” Heart pounding in your chest you mustered the courage to sit beside him, transferring the guitar to his awaiting arms. “Do you play?”
“A little. It was an elective.” He responded, “I’m sure it’s nowhere near as good as you,”
“Flatterer.” You briefly met his gaze, transfixed by their colour. Like a lake mirroring a cloudless sky. And you knew that you were lost. “Well, I’ve been starved for someone else to play with.”
“Have you now?” His teasing was going to be the death of you.
“Yes, now go and be all chivalrous and play something wonderful.”
“Any particular requests?” He asked, focused upon adjusting his hands upon the frets, fingers outlining the ghosts of chords. “Well?” He found your eyes once again, the answer slipping from your tongue faster than you could have ever expected.
It didn’t matter in that moment that a bemused Jedi Knight sat a floor below, basking in the comfort of the living force and the gentle sound of singing above him. It didn’t matter that he should really be bundling that boy off into their ship and off to debrief a council that would be mildly irritated at his choice to delay their return by a day or two.
All you knew- all you were consumed by- was the feeling of your fingers sliding their way along metal strings to familiar positions, passing a well-loved instrument back and forth and exchanging laughs as you missed notes. And if your hands lingered for too long upon his as you performed yet another exchange, you didn’t care.
No, all that mattered in the universe right now was the sound of your voices carrying the half-remembered tune of a song you both loved. And perhaps, just perhaps, this was that shaft of illumination you had hoped for.
Anakin Skywalker 😡 and Webby 🐥 for the character meme!
Anakin
How I feel about this character: IT'S COMPLICATED. he is an incredibly well-crafted character whose relationships with Ahsoka and Obi-wan I love but as a person I still fucking hate him lol. he had reasons to fall, we got to see them, we know why he did what he did and we can sympathize with him, but at the end of the day he still made the choice to fall, even knowing that everyone he loved would rather die than watch him become a sith
All the people I ship romantically with this character: no one! i find his pursuit of her in aotc pretty creepy! he force choked her! he's the right hand nazi. that's unshippable for me lol
My non-romantic OTP for this character: ahsokaaaaaaaaaaaa god they're so good! they care about each other so much! they believe in each other so much! also obi-wan! the snark! the familial bonding!
My unpopular opinion about this character: i can't stand anakin/obi-wan or any master/padawan or former master/padawan romantic relationship
One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: every time i watch rots and get to order 66 i cry. every time i want something different to happen lmao. just don't fall, anakin! kill palpatine! raise luke and leia! it can happen!
Webby
How I feel about this character: IMMEDIATE LOVE, one of those characters who i fell in love with the instant she showed up on screen. she was so enthusiastic and smart and capable and getting to see her experience friendship for the first time was so heart-warming
All the people I ship romantically with this character: lenaaaaaaa. i just. listen i don't want to get into this too much bc spoilers but oh my god they're SOULMATES please i need more lena/webby eps
My non-romantic OTP for this character: honestly we only got like one scrooge/webby episode but it was so cute??? she lived in his house her whole life and was so fascinated by him but he'd closed himself off so much they never had a relationship and yet they're both so adventurous and curious and seeing him become fond of her and watching them become family is very satisfying!!! i think the first time she called him uncle scrooge it made my heart grow 10 sizes
My unpopular opinion about this character: she's perfect, 10/10, i can't think of anything unpopular about her lol
One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: i hope she gets a season of her own???? if the upcoming one is huey's and we get another season after this WHICH WE BETTER bc three seasons is not enough for this show, it should be hers!!! we still have no idea what happened to her parents!! how has no one ever brought that up!! and i know lena/webby will never actually become canon but it should lmao
fic rec and fic-induced headcanon
Some SW fics I really love and would like to recommend. Some may be considered reaaaaaally weird and mind-blowing but all of them are brilliant! They inspired me and now my headcanon is reaaaaaaally fucked-up... You might want to read these fics first bc my half-borrowed headcanon is full of spoilers for them.
Out of the Dark Valley http://archiveofourown.org/works/6281581/chapters/14393407 Breaking the Future to His Hand http://archiveofourown.org/series/525610 Not In His Plans http://archiveofourown.org/works/5111396/chapters/11759570 Rococo http://archiveofourown.org/works/9101827 Sedition http://archiveofourown.org/works/8836729
Don’t read this half-borrowed headcanon if you are not prepared. It’s really fucked-up.
Plagueis is basically gay and he likes young boys. Palpatine is asexual and he only has an eye for power. The old perv uses Palps for several decades in every way, for he is the Master and Palpatine is only an apprentice at the time. Like in the Plagueis book, he dreams that they will rule the galaxy together, and Palpatine gets rid of him with Force-lightening. (This paragraph can be seen as a summary for Darth Videtur’s Breaking the Future to His Hand series. It’s her headcanon.)
Obi-Wan pines for Qui-Gon. Unfortunately, the latter is basically straight. He wasn’t that hard-core when he was younger, but his relationship with his Master which was full of unexplained sexual tension ruined it. He has been a lady’s man since then. He and Tahl had been dancing delicately around each other since they had known each other. Tahl died, of course. Qui-Gon treats Xanatos like a son he has never had but raising him in the Jedi way just makes it worse. Xanatos’ betrayal breaks him. He knows Obi-Wan has a thing for him but pretends he never sees it. Qui-Gon has a unique way of hurting those he cares most. He never realizes it. Not before he dies.
Pansexual Obi-Wan leaves a trail of ex-girlfriends/boyfriends/animal friends and unrequited love affairs. Some of his lovers are dead. And those relationships happen to be the ones he treats more seriously. He sees Anakin as a son and when his padawan grows older, a brother. He appreciates Anakin’s striking beauty, talent and vigor. If the young man courts him after he’s knighted, Obi-Wan won’t say no. He treats intimate relationships like a Jedi that even many of his fellow Jedi can’t understand. He finds that Anakin falls head of heels for the ex-Queen of Naboo and decides to respect Anakin’s choice so he never mentions it to others. He thought that Anakin was straight. Obi-Wan gets into a non-working relationship with Cody. 80% friend-with-benefits, 20% something else. Cody is gonna made a move for Obi-Wan when Order 66 happens.
No matter what Obi-Wan thinks, Anakin is not that straight, and he never thinks Obi-Wan as his brother, only a father figure, teacher and friend. He is attracted to Naboos. Like a duck reckons the first thing it sees as its mother, Anakin is greatly influenced by the Naboos he encounters. His crush for Padme should have stayed as it is, a crush, but it’s not. It’s been smothered for too long and becomes an obsession. Anakin also falls for Palpatine. His day-to-day life in the Temple and relationship with Obi-wan(the mixed working and family relationship), the entertaining and relaxing out-of-Temple time with Palpatine(friendship), and his imaginary romantic relationship with a girl he hasn’t seen in 10 years were the three fulcra for his life as a padawan. He opresses two of them – for the Jedi can never know about it – and the third one just grows and draws some elements from the other two. Thus his secret pining for Palpatine. Besides, he thinks Palpation is as Force-sensitive as a brick so his mind can run freely when they are together...(Thanks to Not in His Plan I got on this ship...)
When Anakin meets Tarkin in TCW, they become good friends. He starts to doubt many things. And Palpatine and Tarkin being old friends doesn’t help in quietening those doubts.
Ahsoka and Barris come together and end up in a relationship after Order 66. Barris was bitter about Ahsoka before the Temple bombing incident. (This headcanon is taken straight out of the prequel story of Out of the Dark Valley.)
The Empire replaces the Republic. Tarkin and Vader are the infamous Imperial terror duo. Their friendship remains. Vader soon discovers that Anakin Skywalker’s estimation of Tarkin’s private life is totally wrong. Tarkin is no celibate middle-aged work-driven gentleman. He’s been popular since his school days. He conquers women, men – all humans of course – but stays single. The relationship is never long. Years passes, and Vader discovers that he is the only one aware of this.
Palpatine’s propaganda advocates that working hard day and night is the only way to gain power, money and respect. Vader, Tarkin and he himself are the poster boys – look at us, single, rich and powerful and you all should WORK HARD AND PRAISE OUR NEW ORDER~~ Sate Pestage has been pining for him for decades. He has known him since the Emperor was an ambitious and handsome red-head Naboo noble. His devotion to Palps never wavered even if the other man has changed greatly. Palpatine knows that, of course. He keeps manipulating him without guilt.
Rumor mills run high that Grand Admiral Thrawn has a thing for the ysalamiris he keeps around. The ysalamiris are on his command chair, in his bedroom, under his sheets, anywhere he goes. It started in the joke mills. Some lowly officers’ drunk words. It evolves quickly and the originators quit the job and run to hide under some stones in the Wild Space or the Unknown Region after they discovered what they had done.
(This one starts basically as an AU of Rococo and takes many critical events off Out of the Dark Valley in later plots) Leia offers to marry Tarkin in exchange for the survival of Alderaan. Tarkin agrees, but he also states that the Death Star will stay in orbit around the planet before the wedding is complete. The wedding is held three days later. Bail has informed the Alliance to move the base off Yavin IV and in no condition should they contact Alderaan again. The day after the wedding, Tarkin takes Leia back to the Death Star and asks her to contact his father to disarm any form of planetary defense and give up the location of the Alliance’s base. Leia wants to negotiate. She tells Tarkin that the Alliance has changed its base and they don’t know where. Tarkin smirks and tells the operator to fire when ready. Leia nearly gets onto her knees. She asks if there’s any way that he will leave Alderaan alone. Tarkin says there’s none. Seconds later, Alderaan is gone.
Things of the fic Sedition happens. Tarkin and Vader’s relationship is getting even weirder.
Leia tries to assassinate Tarkin countless times but to no avail. Rumours spread around the Alliance that Leia is now an Imperial. Tarkin told Leia about the history of the Republic from another angle. Leia’s worldview has changed but she doesn’t want to believe it. In her heart she knows she is more an Imperial than she would like to be. Anyway, this won’t affect her plans for revenging Alderaan. Once an Alliance assassin comes to kill her, for Alliance comes across serious setbacks which is actually the spies in their own base’s doing but blames it on Leia. Leia is in another attempt of assassining Tarkin and she nearly succeeds before the Alliance assassin ruins it. The poor man is Force-choked by Leia in her rage and Tarkin finishes the job with a shot. Tarkin is intrigued that Leia is Force-sensitive. He tells Vader about it. Vader is in need of an apprentice. Leia has other plans and she does need training.
Vader has been searching for his son Luke Skywalker at the time. He doesn’t get Luke. He does get Obi-Wan. He uses some Force-illusions to convince the stormtroopers that in his fight with his old Jedi Master, the old man vanishes into thin air and becomes a Force ghost. That’s not the truth. The truth is that he betters Obi-Wan in combat and secretly imprisons him. He actually has no plan to kill his old teacher even if he’s been fantasizing it since Mustafar. And Obi-Wan tells Vader that there’s one secret that no one knows now except him. Vader knows it’s true and he also knows torturing is no use and he can’t get into the other man’s head without killing him. Obi-Wan stays on the Executor as Vader’s secret prisoner.
Luke and Han Solo are Alliance’s last hope. They make trouble all around the Empire. Palpatine knows that Vader is looking for Luke. He just sits comfortably in his throne far away in Coruscant and watches with popcorns in one hand and a goblet of Naboo blossom wine in another.
Han and Luke gets in one Imperial gala in disguise as some alien species. They find Leia. Luke says that he and Han don’t believe the girl he saw in R2-D2’s holo projection will take the Empire’s side, and they are smuggling her out. Leia refuses to go with them. Against her better judgement, she admits that she is learning from Darth Vader so she could kill Tarkin one day and even the Emperor himself. She doesn’t say she wants to kill Vader because she learns that for all the closeness between Vader and Tarkin, the Dark Lord actually hates the Death Star. Besides, she knows that without Vader’s help, she can’t take out Palpatine.
Luke is pissed. He tells Leia that Vader kills his father. They don’t notice in their heated discussion the said Dark Lord silently comes.
“I am your father!”
“NOOOOOOOOO!”
Han is made into a wall decorator, because he sees something in Solo’s eyes when he looks at his son, and he DOESN’T LIKE IT. Vader then gifts him to Thrawn as a return of favor – he has promised the Chiss one day he would get him some unique art that he has never seen. He doesn’t care if the Grand Admiral appreciates his dark humor.
At some point Vader has moved Obi-Wan to Tarkin’s flagship, Executress. He can’t risk Palpatine’s inspection. Tarkin seldom stays on his flagship any more. He spends most of his time on the Death Star. Luke is put into the cell next to Obi-Wan. Vader wants to know if these two old acquaitances get together, Obi-Wan might loose his tongue.
Luke expresses his frustration at Han being taken and his anger for Leia refusing to come with them which led to their capture. He also confesses Princess Leia looks fantastic in person and is the most beautiful woman he’s ever seen blahblahblha. Obi-Wan doesn’t expect that, and in a hurry he tells Luke that Leia’s his twin sister. Both Tarkin and Vader got the video feeds. Vader is too stunned to think of anything else, while Tarkin comes to the most bizzare realization of his life that he just sleeps with both father and daughter.
--The End—
Well, Tarkin might be considering eliminating Palpatine along with Coruscant by using the Death Star. I think Leia and Vader have to convince him otherwise. They might need to kill him idk. Thrawn hasn’t decided what he is gonna do about the Death Star. It’s both a threat and a unique weapon. He might decide to use it just once against the lurking unknown threat. With his passive-aggressive way against the Alliance, the latter survives longer.
