“Everything, Everywhere, Wet”
Thunderstorms feel like snow storms
Only
Shorter lived
That’s why they feel romantic
They don’t keep us
stored in
They open up
skies for rain
Nothing to rush for
No place to be
In a thunderstorm
Time moves differently than it does under blue
Slowed to a stop
In a thunderstorm
They bring us presence
To a scene we could not before see
Widen our eyes to the risk and remedy
of a thunderstorm
A wide gaze through a drop tainted window
A throated gasp against stained glass
Everything,
Everywhere,
Wet
Nothing to rush for
No place to be
That’s why they feel romantic

When I look up at the full moon
I wonder if you are looking too.
And I hope that somehow,
It will reflect the love I have
In my heart
From me to you.

Everyone wants to
Escape their pain
But they don't tell you
That all it is,
Is just a sad love.

A light in the window,
Shading everything in sight.
It shines on my face as I pass it by.
What a miracle it is
To have experienced something
This bright.

I've found peace in madness.
Without it I am just a ghost
Fading with time.

When you get manic
You pick at yourself
Like flowers
And I still
Love you the same

You turned the corner
In the hallway
And I never
Looked at a stranger
Like that before.

I have been my own
Self-executioner,
My own jailer,
and my own prisoner..
And the only one with the keys.

Your burgundy dress feels like blue
When you're dancing
In the moonlight
And even the clouds at night part
To give you a place in the spotlight

I understand now
The connection
Between people and mirrors
I see it now but
How can I believe something so
Otherworldly?
The thought does coruscate
In the mind of my head.

Wild woman,
What has made you wild?
Old man,
What has made you tired?
Children,
How older you have grown.
So close you are now,
But still away from home.

When I care for someone, that same care can last for years. It never fades, like it was made just yesterday.
