I still like thinking about how funny Yesterday’s Lie was. So proud of Luz and Vee for being so synergistically emotionally dysfunctional in that one. Camila is like gearing up for a tough round of soul-searching regarding her parenting and a “do as I say not as I do” conversation about not being ashamed of your special interests and then instead she gets slammed with All Of That.

An underrated part of the train wreck was Vee all but flat out saying she loves Camila and wants Camila to adopt her and Luz being like, great! You can keep holding my place for me and then when I’m done in the demon realm and ready to come back, you can leave and go somewhere else forever :) Like Vee is already lowkey mad at Luz for abandoning her life and mother and then Luz comes up with that and Vee (hates confrontation) is like oh. thanks.

I mean, let’s be clear, Luz is a sweet kid who was being extremely cool about Vee stealing her identity + trying to throw her treasured possessions in the garbage, and was motivated more by fear of coming clean to her mother than true insensitivity, and she ultimately faced that fear to help Vee, but damn that was not her smoothest moment.
