Don't be sad, my dearest love. We still lack many things, but we have conquered many more. What we already have cannot be measured. And this is what makes us predict that we will overcome everything.
Albert Camus to Maria Casarès, Correspondance, February 8, 1950 [#178]

As a believer in Christ, you are an OVER-COMER!
Over-comers are not perfect people. They fail time and time again, but they get themselves up, fix their eyes on Jesus and OVERCOME!
We have this idea that if God is with us, He’ll keep us from trouble, and when bad things do happen, we conclude that God has abandoned us. But this is not true.
In this broken, sinful world bad things do happen to all people. Jesus didn’t promise us a carefree life. He didn’t promise to remove it. He promised to be with us. And that makes all the difference. When you know Jesus is with you– walking with you every step of the way– it makes the difference between despair and hope.
Are you struggling through a time of temptation, suffering or loss? God is near you during this time. Jesus promised us this: “In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33)

overcome dtiys!
my ongoing fic series, overcome, is over a year old! to celebrate, i'm starting a dtiys (draw this in your style) of a scene from missed you!
please reblog to show your support! likes do nothing.
if you'd like to participate, the guidelines are under the cut!
dtiys guidelines:
reblog this post
draw the above art in your style!
i know the base is pretty ambitious so if you need an easy mode, you can only draw legend and ravio and/or skip the background
if you're even more ambitious, you can add hyrule and wild standing behind warriors
you're more than welcome to draw a different scene from the series, but it'll be counted as normal fanart rather than a dtiys participant
make your own post for your own art
@ me so i can see it!
adding a link to the series is useful but not required
there is no deadline!
i'll reblog all participants to my main and @fics-and-fables! i can't wait to see everyone's art!
“It’s me!” Legend yelled. “And a few friends.”
They heard a muffled crash and a startled yelp. “Mister- oof- Mister Hero?!”
Legend took a step back just in time, letting the door whip past the space that his nose had been occupying a moment ago. A purple blur barreled into him, nearly knocking him over, and he felt Warriors’ hand steady him.
“One of these days I’m gonna be dead on my own doorstep,” Legend groaned, but he knew that the others could see his smile.
“I missed you so much,” Ravio said, and Sheerow chirped agreement from his shoulder.
“Missed you too, bun.” Legend matched the intensity of Ravio’s hug, taking a moment to simply enjoy the feeling of holding his partner close. So much had happened in the months they had been apart, but Legend was finally home.

you've just come in from a rainstorm
you can't expect to be
immediately dry warm and comfortable
but you can do the little things
take off the heavy clothing
turn on the coffee pot
wrap yourself in a blanket
one small thing at a time
~healing is a process
