Usually, I start the work and finish it without any interruptions. This time first I had issues with my back, then I painted many other arts in between. 😀 And I have the feeling it took me weeks to finish this scene. In reality it is not so. But in any case I don't regret a single minute. And I hope you will like it. 💖
When he spoke carefully, as now, he all but lost the slight Scots accent that usually marked his speech.
"I do not wish to… that is… I do not mean to imply…" He looked up suddenly and smiled, with a helpless gesture. "I dinna want to insult you by sounding as though I think you've a vast experience of men, is all. But it would be foolish to pretend that ye don't know more than I do about such matters. What I meant to ask is,
is this… usual? What it is between us, when I touch you, when you … lie with me? Is it always so between a man and a woman?"
In spite of his difficulties, I knew exactly what he meant. His gaze was direct, holding my eyes as he waited my answer. I wanted to look away, but couldn't."There's often something like it," I said, and had to stop and clear my throat.
"But no. No, it isn't—. I have no idea why, but no. This is… different."
“it was because they were two parts of a whole. He did not belong to her. And she did not belong to him. It’s never about belonging to someone, it’s about belonging together.”
I watch Outlander for the love story. I am a romantic and have been since seeing my first Disney movie as a child and having the gallant prince come and save the princess. Yes, a woman doesn't need a man to save her, I get it, but it sure is nice sometimes. My favorite episode from Seasons 1-3 and probably the entire series is the Devil's Mark.
Claire was forced to marry Jamie. She didn't love Jamie at the time. She was definitely attracted to him, but didn't love him. Finally when given the chance to return to her time, her husband Frank, she chooses Jamie. She comes to the realization that she loves Jamie more than anything in the world. More than the modern convenience of a toilet and shower. She loves him, she chooses Jamie.
Everyone wants to feel chosen by the person you love, and not be the consolation prize or the second choice. Claire was no longer being forced into this marriage and life with Jamie. She is now choosing it for herself because she cannot live without him. I accidentally typed love instead of live, and I think love works with that statement too. She cannot love without him.
I'm sorry, but the fact that anyone would believe that Jamie Fraser - the King of Men - would cheat on Claire with anyone, let alone Malva Christie is ridiculous.
This man allowed himself to be tortured and raped to protect Claire. He's not going to lie with anyone unless it is needed to protect his family.
Young Claire was brought by Jamie to the Stones for the first time. She should make her choice now... We do know what she will decide. 😉

You showed so much love to the previous design I did and I decided to continue with my experiments. 🥰
