My HOTD EP 10 THOUGHTS on Daemon and Rhaenyra
●With Rhaenys delivering the news, this crushed the both of them.
Rhaenyra had to go to an early labor, and Daemon instantly hatching a plan with the black council on how to take down the greens.Ive seen many accusations that Daemon is cold towards Rhae. Now hear me out on this, we hear Rhae calling him, not because he should be at her side, she called him because she knows him.She knows that the news made him spiral out of control. As Rhaenyra said, he's gone to madness .We have to consider a few things.Daemon is affected by all of it,he lost his brother and his baby daughter, and he is not going to lose Rhaenyra too.He is also traumatized by the moment he lost Laena and I don't think he could handle it again. So he focused on preparing for war, doing the best he could to PROTECT Rhaenyra and his family. He is doing this all for her.
Tumblr media
Of course, he's gone mad. Those leeches usurped the throne, and stole Rhaenyra's birthright, and he should do something about it.
●The Otto Faceoff scene. Loved the way Daemon looked up to Rhae as she came down from Syrax. That's his Queen mfs.
Tumblr media
Then Otto offered that if Rhaenyra will bend the knee to Aegon II, no war will happen and that she will have Dragonstone, then if she dies,Jace will inherit it,Luke will have Driftmark and that her and Daemon's children,Aegon the Younger will be the king's squire, and Viserys will be his cupbearer.Of course,Daemon's blood is boiling right here and there.
Rhaenyra entertained this bullshit he offered and lost her fire in here, why? When Otto gave her the symbol of her friendship with Alicent, the page she ripped from a book in Episode 1.Otto manipulated her emotionally, using this to bring Rhaenyra's anger down and consider his peace offering bullshit but Daemon knows Otto right from the very start,he tried to protect Viserys from him but failed, and Viserys chose to trust Otto than him.And even with that peace thing he offered,he will never let Rhaenyra and her children live in peace, and one day, they will come for her. Otto Hightower will always be THAT leech.
Tumblr media
The fucking Greens usurped the throne and still consider them because Alicunt was your friend?
Daemon isnt having any of this because that is a fucking trap and was ready to cut his Otto's head off with Syrax roaring and agreeing as you can see, but because of that stupid symbol of their friendship and her love for Alicunt, she lost her fire, telling Daemon to stop and that she will make time for her answer. This made Daemon even more furious.
The Council meeting was even more intense than before, with Rhaenyra being too soft, and Daemon bursting out.(I love Matt Smith's delivery here, its everything!)
Tumblr media
●The Choking Scene: I know everyone and even Daemyra shippers are furious about this but hear me out.
Daemon asked her here whether she is angry about this, and she is but she can't let that lead to war because of the prophecy.
Im sorry to say this, Rhaenyra had gone soft all because of that fucking ripped page of a book that made Daemon react " The fuck is this?"
●Now, the choking part. Now before we get to that,Daemon told her that "You cant bend the knee to the Hightowers, they stole your birthright," I mean- he saw her making the same MISTAKE Viserys, his brother, did, Trusting the fucking greens, and that led to the downfall of the realm, falling into the hands of the Hightowers.
Tumblr media
Then Rhaenyra blurted the prophecy, with Daemon knowing nothing of it,this made him more furious because Viserys never told him about this.
Tumblr media
He choked her out of his anger towards the greens.Think about it, his brother died, his baby  daughter died, the greens have usurped the throne and brought down the House of the Dragon. The choking was like trying to WAKE her up. To point out that " We have to fight, fuck that prophecy, they stole your birthright and im going to fucking fight for it" And then there's this iconic line:
"DREAMS DIDN'T MAKE US KINGS, DRAGONS DID."
Daemon was consumed by his anger, and he realized he had gone too far and as you can see in his face,he regrets hurting her in that kind of way.Its so rude of him to do that to her,I hated him in that scene, but that doesn't mean he doesn't love Rhaenyra anymore.
●Recall everything. In Episode 4, yes, Viserys said he always lusted for his throne, but all along that throne is Rhaenyra. He tried to reason out to his brother that with Rhaenyra marrying him, everything would turn out okay, and that the realm is safe, and that they will bring back the House of the Dragon to its proper glory. If Daemon didn't loved her and wanted the throne alone, he would have killed her in Episode 2, but he didn't.Then this 10 year period that occured between episode 5 and 6.Daemon lost his fire in this, refusing to return to his home. He longed to be with Rhaenyra, then self exiled himself just so he wouldn't butcher her marriage with Laenor. He does nothing but to long for his home without even muttering a word about it until Laena confronted him.
Rhaenyra is his home and so he is to Rhaenyra.
Tumblr media
Plus, why did he have to sing that beautiful High Valyrian song to wake and recruit Vermithor up if he doesn't love her? Why does he have to do that if he only wants the throne for himself? This is for Rhaenyra, he is FIGHTING for his family and for her birthright, she is her father's named heir, and with Viserys gone, and even though he didn't attend the moment when she is named heir, he crowned her as the queen. THE RIGHTFUL QUEEN.
Daemyra is not dead. They may fight like dragons but they are in this together. The last scene proved it.
Tumblr media
And Daemon was proven right about not trusting the greens by Luke's sudden death, Rhaenyra realized and understands that war is unavoidable, and that Daemon was right the whole time. With her facing towards us slowly, the fire in her returned, war in her eyes.
Rhaenyra always understood him,she understands him better than anyone and that they are the same, and this is why she is not angry at him.
They both share the blood of the dragon, and they are restless and chaotic,as Viserys had said.
(This is just my view on that episode,if you agree or not, that's completely fine, and Pls dont fight me hahaha, I just want to share and make hotd wallpapers to you all.❤)

Maybe?
There’s evidence that humans have been baking bread in some form for about 30,000 years, but sliced bread has only been around since the early 20th century. The first automatically sliced commercial loaves were produced on July 6, 1928, in Chillicothe, Missouri, using the machine invented by Otto Rohwedder, an Iowa-born, Missouri-based jeweler.
Rohwedder’s quest to make sliced bread a reality was not without its challenges. A 1917 fire destroyed his prototype and blueprints, and he also faced skepticism from bakers, who thought factory-sliced loaves would quickly go stale or fall apart. Nevertheless, in 1928, Rohwedder’s rebuilt “power-driven, multi-bladed” bread slicer was put into service at his friend Frank Bench’s Chillicothe Baking Company.
Rohwedder’s newfangled contraption was greeted with an enthusiastic report in the July 6, 1928, edition of the Chillicothe Constitution-Tribune. The publication noted that while some people might find sliced bread “startling,” the typical housewife could expect “a thrill of pleasure when she first sees a loaf of this bread with each slice the exact counterpart of its fellows. So neat and precise are the slices, and so definitely better than anyone could possibly slice by hand with a bread knife that one realizes instantly that here is a refinement that will receive a hearty and permanent welcome.”
The article also recounted that “considerable research” had gone into determining the right thickness for each slice: slightly less than half an inch.
Sliced bread didn’t take long to become a hit around the United States, even as some bakers contended it was just a fad, and by 1930 it could be found in most towns across the country. By that point, the majority of Americans were eating commercially made bread—compared with just decades earlier, when most of the supply was still homemade. The factory-produced loaves were designed to be softer than those prepared at home or at small, local bakeries because the bread-buying public had come to equate “squeezable softness” with freshness, writes food historian Aaron Bobrow-Strain in his book White Bread. The timing, therefore, was right for an automatic slicing machine because, as Bobrow-Strain says, these softer, “modern loaves had become almost impossible to slice neatly at home.”
One of the first major brands to distribute sliced bread was Wonder, starting in 1930. Wonder Bread originally appeared in stores in 1921 in Indianapolis, where it was manufactured by the Taggart Baking Company. An executive there dreamed up the bread’s name after being filled with wonder while watching the International Balloon Race at the Indianapolis Speedway. After the Continental Baking Company bought Taggart in 1925, Wonder was sold nationally; the bread’s popularity soared once it was marketed in sliced form.
During World War II, factory-sliced bread, including Wonder, was briefly banned by the U.S. government in an effort to conserve resources, such as the paper used to wrap each loaf to help maintain freshness. In 2012, Wonder Bread disappeared completely from store shelves after its then-owner, Hostess Brands (which also made Twinkies and Ding Dongs, among other famous snacks), declared bankruptcy. The following year, another company stepped in and re-launched the iconic brand.

FMO reader in her political era is so iconic
It’s so fun to write. Like she’s been around court a huge chunk of her life, married into a royal family, has traveled too. She’s seen shit and is an asset even separate from her family. She’s more cultured than most of the people she interacts with, especially since most of them are highborn people like her. Her soft power ironically makes her underestimated but also extremely effective.
It kind of plays a part in Rhaenyra seeking that out (it also reminds her of a special someome). Emma has given interviews talking about how gender as a construct/idea being something they bring into playing Rhaenyra.
“I’m a nonbinary person. I’ve always found myself both pulled and repelled by masculine and feminine identity and I think that plays out truthfully here. She can’t attend court in a way that comes easily to other people.”
The way it is smart of otto to want reader’s family on their side. It is equally smart of Rhaenyra to see she’s on the back foot not being at court for so long. She wants someone who has not only been at court, but also employs a certain power that she doesn’t think she possess

Wolfgang Franz Otto Blass’s interest in the winemaking business made him the youngest person ever to graduate with a Masters in Oenology. He further moved to England to study the art of blending before moving to the Barossa Valley in 1961. This passion led to the establishment of Wolf  Blass Wines in 1966 and is visible ever since then in its custodians as they continue to make wines of quality, character and consistency. From humble beginnings to exporting wines in more than 50 countries, Wolf Blass has gained international recognition as an icon in modern winemaking.
TASTING NOTES
The pale straw with a green hue drink emanates fresh citrus and melon aromas with subtle and integrated spicy oak. A balanced Chardonnay with parcels matured in French oak to add complexity to the fresh fruit focus. The grapefruit and peach character on the palate makes it soft and approachable. It has a generous length and finishes clean. Relish it with  a traditional mac and cheese recipe.

Initial “Spider-Man: No Way Home” Thoughts
Major spoilers within, obvi.
First things first: Within the span of a week, we get Vincent D'Onofrio’s Kingpin and Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock made canon in the MCU. I am utterly delighted. Matt catching the rock and saying it’s because he’s a really good lawyer... amazing.
(Also tying into Hawkeye, I loved that we saw a Rogers: The Musical billboard while Peter was webslinging.)
I just about lost it at how JJJ was basically playing Alex Jones, complete with advertising supplements. Yet he’s more competent than Alex Jones, considering he ends up with actual compromising footage of Spider-Man.
Wong being the Sorcerer Supreme because Strange was Blipped is perfection, as is Strange calling it a “technicality.” Also, it’s hilarious that the Sorcerer Supreme is getting in on Xialing’s underground fights.
The dynamic between Peter and Strange (excuse me, Stephen) was wonderful. You could see that Strange genuinely likes Peter and wants to help him, hence being willing to cast the spell (also lol @ using a memory spell for bad parties) but he gets increasingly frustrated with Peter’s softness... until it seems to work. And that, of course, is when Peter has to make the truly heroic decision to be forgotten, and Strange is clearly bothered to forget Peter.
Also, Peter besting Strange with MATH?! Amazing. Peter really gets to show just how smart he is in this movie, which I love.
Aunt May dying was brutal, but I love love love that she got to give the iconic line, which later gets repeated by the other Peters.
Speaking of the other Peters, LET’S TALK ABOUT THE BEST PART OF THE MOVIE.
Tobey Maguire was my Spider-Man growing up; I was 14 when the first Sam Raimi film came out, so I have such a soft spot for him. And to see him come in as the older, wiser Peter who steps into the big brother role to the other Peters? He’s so kind, so gentle, and so wonderful. And yet, we see he has his regrets and pain that have come with his life as a hero. When he and Otto reunite, I teared up when he said, “I’m trying to be better.” I couldn’t get enough of him on screen. And that he was the one to stop Peter from killing Osborne -- man, his face acted the hell out of that moment.
I was so worried they were going to kill him off, but it turns out he’s been stabbed before ;-)
(Also lmao @ the questions about where his webs shoot from.)
Andrew Garfield was a delight; it broke my heart that he described himself as getting bitter and not pulling his punches after Gwen’s death. And he doesn’t want this Peter to fall into the trap that he did. We also see he feels inferior to Tobey’s and Tom’s Peters, so it was really moving to see him get support from them and get his redemption when he saved MJ from her fall.
And Tom Holland... He killed this movie. His emotion after May’s death was so raw. And the ending when everyone has forgotten him and decides to stay anonymous because his friends’ lives seem better? MY HEART.
Oh, and the fight choreography in this movie? Wowowowowow. Incredible. The condo fight sequence with Green Goblin was *chef’s kiss*
I could talk about this movie for days, but overall, I went in with reasonably low expectations; I was worried it would be over-stuffed, but somehow they landed it all beautifully. So so so impressed. Definitely one of my top MCU movies.

Spring 2012 - The Swiftgron Spring
Click here for a vibes playlist appropriate to this part of the timeline.
Taylor writes Holy Ground some time in February 2012:
Tumblr media
Never missing a chance to be unbearable, Dianna takes this proto Folklore aesthetic photoshoot with Ashley and others at the beginning of March (the 4th?) (which makes me think Taylor and Dianna may have started something up at or around that February Oscars party, she’s certainly spending a bit of quality time with Taylor’s two best friends at this point):
Tumblr media
And Dianna’s in a good mood:
Tumblr media
The Speak Now Tour ends March 18, 2012 and right after it seems like Swiftgron is inseparable.  I think mid March is the official beginning to their relationship though it’s possible they had been in touch on and off since 2010 and it’s also possible that they started a long distance flirtation in the fall of 2011 (or perhaps at the end of February 2012 given Dianna starts hanging out with Taylor’s friends while she’s back on tour - but Taylor hasn’t followed Dianna on Twitter yet) but all I know for sure is they hang out constantly starting at the end of March 2012.
March 25, 2012 - Hunger Games Movie Date
The first Swiftgron solo hang that we know of Dianna and Taylor go to see The Hunger Games - Taylor had two songs on the movie soundtrack!  There’s no press there to see them so it really does appear they just went to catch the film together.  Dianna tweets about it but doesn’t mention Taylor but some fans take a picture of them so we know they were there together.

Also right before or on this day Taylor start to follow Dianna on twitter:

A couple other things to note about this day:
It rained all day!
Tumblr media
It rains rarely in LA but I think this was the inspiration for the lyric “all I know is pouring rain and everything has changed”
This was also a Sunday and a matinee which of course Taylor sings about later in the song The 1.
March 28, 2012 - Dianna is feeling grateful:
Tumblr media
So grateful she writes out a list and tweets Taylor (among others) about it!
Tumblr media
The first thing she is grateful for is, “My heart, which is open!”
She also mentions “new” and “exciting” which Taylor perhaps references in the Swiftgron anthem Wonderland with the lyric “didn’t it all seem new and exciting?”
March 30, 2012 - Dinner at Il Pastaio
Two days later after Dianna’s happy tweets she is having dinner with Taylor and Taylor’s mother Andrea (meeting the parents for the first time?)
It seems that Dianna leaves out a side or back door to avoid being spotted but this article notes that she was there:

If their first date was the Hunger Games (which the pouring rain lyric in EHC makes me think it was), Dianna was meeting Taylor’s mother less than a week later! “Didn’t they tell us don’t rush into things” indeed!
That night Dianna is tweeting about someone with a great attitude and a funky spirit:

March 31, 2012 - Kids’ Choice Awards and Dianna’s House Party
This guy tweets a bunch proving that Taylor was at Dianna’s house party after the 2012 Kids’ Choice Awards.
Tumblr media
This is significant because everyone made a big deal about Taylor dancing a bit to You Don’t Know You’re Beautiful (and she is dancing around in an adorably dorky manner with Selena, Claire, lesbian icon Sharpay Evans [she’s come a long way since East High School! Go Wildcats!], and Katy Perry):

Here’s the full performance:

The camera pans over to Taylor five times.  Haylor shippers sometimes point to this as the start of their romance but to me it reads as though a PRomance is in the works or perhaps fans’ reactions to Taylor enjoying 1D (of course we all know how she loves to sing about women from the male perspective) prompted the idea of Haylor.
All I know is that she went to Dianna’s house that night not out with Harry so who do you think was important to her at that point?
April 1, 2012 -  Taylor is at the Academy of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas - she wins entertainer of the year and please look at Ashley’s reaction to suggestions that Taylor is dating Tim Tebow:

Then all the girls go to NYC together (even though it appears as though Taylor has no work related reason to be in NYC - Dianna is there to do some press.)
April 7, 2012 - Dinner at Otto:

April 8, 2012 - Spending time together at the Bowery (eye twitches) Hotel

and for all the Haylor shippers? Harry didn’t show up...

April 9, 2012
Taylor is in Nashville:
Tumblr media
Dianna stays behind in NYC and appears on The VIew.
April 11, 2012 - Taylor posts about recording Red (it appears to be Nashville due to the tweets surrounding it)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Who’s got her so happy?)
April 12, 2012 - Taylor is still in Nashville
Tumblr media
Dianna on Jimmy Kimmel (in NYC)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ashley is with her!
Tumblr media
Jimmy decides to get cute and brings up the “love triangle” between Dianna, Taylor, and Tim Tebow.  When she denies anything is going on with Tim he asks her if she’s dating Taylor. Dianna says “Noooo!” in what appears to be a brief split instance of surprise and panic but recovers smoothly and plays it off as a joke.  She quips, “Wouldn’t that be juicy?”  and turns to the camera to blow a kiss before saying, “Hi Taylor.”

Conclusion - Swiftgron is now traveling together.  Dianna and Taylor’s friend groups have completely meshed.  Taylor appears to go to New York simply to accompany Dianna since Taylor had no work related reason to be in the city that we know of.
The “I guess you’re in New York today” part of Come Back... Be Here (to be written later this spring) may be inspired by the period time where Taylor had to leave New York to work on Red while Dianna had to stay in NYC for work.
ALSO! Sometime this Spring Dianna answers a question about Taylor on her YM&C Blog and says she’d like to sing Ours on Glee:

Very cute since Ours is so soft and about choosing to love one another even though other people may object.

5 Dad Hat Trends That Will Remain Relevant For A Long Time
With their comfortable fit and effortless charm, dad hats have gained immense popularity among people of all ages. As fashion trends evolve, certain dad hat styles have proven to be timeless, solidifying their position as trends that will stay relevant for years to come. The popularity of dad hats encouraged several retail stores to get creative, subsequently leading to the growth of even cap manufacturers like OTTO and iconic brands like Richardson. The sheer internet search volume for OTTO dad hats wholesale is a solid testament.
That said, let's delve into the top 5 dad hat trends that continue to capture hearts and heads.
Minimalistic Embroidery
Ironically, modern fashion’s increasing adoption of bold graphics and loud designs also makes minimalistic embroidery more appealing. Dad hats sporting subtle embroidery have a suave charm that can easily add a touch of sophistication to certain outfits. Dad hats with minimalistic embroidery seamlessly blend with many fashion styles. So it’s safe to assume why this trend is here to stay.
Retro Appeal
A blend of nostalgia and cool fashion is a potent combination that turns heads. You may have spotted dad hats reflecting this sentiment quite a lot of times already. Vintage logos, graphics and retro-inspired designs arouse a sense of familiarity. Dad hats that pay homage to the past are enduringly fashionable, bridging generations and resonating with both the young and the old.
Washed-Out & Faded Look
This aesthetic took the fashion world by storm. Dad hats sporting this aesthetic were no exception. Hats that have a washed-out, faded appearance became much loved accessories for people who preferred a laid-back style. The hats give off a relaxed vibe, making them a great choice for casual outings. The trend adds notable depth to your outfit, complementing a range of looks.
Earthy Tones, Neutral Colors
The color of the dad hat you wear is more important than you think. While denim dad hats have an extra ‘badass daddy’ charm, it’s the earthy tones and neutrals that proved to be timeless choices. From muted greens and warm browns to soft grays and classic blacks, these hues offer endless pairing possibilities. Neutral tones give more room for accessorizing and fits well with various outfits - from streetwear to smart casuals.
Customization & Personalization
Hat customization and personalization have been a trend for years, and will remain so for a long time. Dad hats offer a great canvas to express - be it simple initials of a name to a famous quote. Customizing any hat simply transforms it into a one-of-a-kind accessory. Customized hats are how the wearers can add their own personality into their hat. Additionally, thousands of apparel stores in the US specialize in custom hats. As a matter of fact, wholesale OTTO hats purchases in the US went through the roof last year signifying how profitable it is to sell customized hats.
Final Thoughts
Dad hats have solidified their place in the fashion world as a mainstay in both streetwear and mainstream styles. Whether you're looking to elevate your casual style or add a touch of nostalgia to your outfit, dad hats offer countless options that will stand the test of time.
