My narrative mind map
Narrowing down on what my subject could be about. Whilst looking at the presentation of artists and designers, the artist Osman Yousefzada has shifted my view on what I would do. At first, I was thinking about my dogs being the most important thing to me. as it's something I relate to. However, I feel as though touching my roots is something I would feel more passionate about.
The feeling of 'I'm not black enough' to relate to people in the black community and understanding, especially since I've lived in the UK for 12-13 years of my life and lived in a predominantly white area with my grandparents or my white mother.
But also feel like I'm not white enough to be treated with priority like a full white person. Experiencing bullying in a white school with a minimum of 3 ethnic kids.
It's almost like trying to find a community which makes me feel comfortable being myself. But also realised that I was not going to fit in with just one community, I am blessed to be part of both worlds and should be embracing it.
