bsd s5 ep11 spoilers
About the debate if the manga is going to follow the anime's footsteps (apparently impossible because Fyodor's hand isn't injured), it occurred to me that if it isn't, Dazai may yet not be alive after all, ie the skk angst might be manga-real and not skk fucking around right under Fyodor's nose.
Why?
Because of Sigma.
Because, unless Fyodor survives and or the next antagonist also has a super genius or two like Ranpo and Dazai on their side, it's going to be a tough sale.
To Sigma: Dazai went out of his way to save his life. Sigma even states that in the battle for control over him, Dazai won. Sigma went and stole every secret Fyodor has. This means that if Sigma survives, which is likely (and possibly joins the agency), Dazai's proof of character development will maintain his influence on the narrative. Sigma becomes Dazai's legacy. Sskk become written in stone in his memory (not like they need much more of a push anymore). Cue guilt, responsibility, what would Dazai do, and all that other fun stuff.
Which leads us to two, the next antagonist. Like many, I'm assuming it's going to be the Order of the Clock Tower (H. G. Wells! Adam, maybe? That scientist who made Adam, whatshername!). But with Dazai and all-breaks-removed Ranpo on the ADA's side (unless the deal with the PM strikes here), the OotCT is going to find itself out manoeuvred pretty quickly, no? Like with the Guild, as soon as they get their hands on information (deducing which is what Ranpo excels at, not to mention that Dazai presumably already knows a lot since unlike the Guild, the OotCT seems to have a pretty established profile and it's implied (? someone refresh my memory) that the PM had some dealings with them at the end of SB. Simply put, unless the OotCT has a strategic genius on their side, I have a hard time seeing them as legitimate threats. Meaning, that to make them more dangerous...it would suit just to remove a card from the ADA's hand. Dazai is in prime position to be removed.
Also, the end of SB foreshadowed a coming 'storm' and Chuuya killing Dazai while dehumanized and under mind control would probably trigger something in the long run.
(Don't know how coherent my thoughts are right now, sorry, it's too early.)

I have a theory for season 6
First thing first, the background: The whole DOA's plan. From the purpose that pushed Fukuchi to do that: massive war in the future that killed millions of people all around the world, more severe than Great War which ended 15 years ago (before the main storyline). Then fueled as well by the hate to corrupted people in the government body who caused those issues. Therefore he tried to combine all armies in the world under one command leader, Army of Mankind to mitigate the future war. Therefore, a strong current incident/terror should be made in order to make the United Nations realize how important that thing is. And as Fukuchi confirmed, the proposal of DOA's plan came from Fyodor, which means he told Fyodor about the massive future war.
Now here several scattered info from Stormbringer novel apply in: The future big war Fukuchi mentioned is probably a singularity war. The Great War (the beginning of several major issues in BungoSD) as confirmed in Stormbringer novel, European countries competed to create singularity to be a weapon. Why singularity? Because, only singularity has enough energy to harm the world. Ability alone is considered as not harmful as it can't raze the world on its own because one of the ability principles: Ability has an output ceiling. This output ceiling doesn't exist in singularity (more about this in Stormbringer)
Three major powers during the Great War: England, France, and Germany competed to achieve that goal. Germany found a theoretical way to create a powerful singularity (not the normal clashing ability way as singularity from this method has limited energy, it'll run out). Then a rebel scientist in France managed to be the first one to realize that theoretical plan into reality. He created the first singularity that can be weaponized from the theory Germany found, yes, the birth of Guivre singularity (Paul Verlaine). Germany then stole the research file, shared it to their ally: Japan and another singularity was born: Arahabaki (Chuuya). Hearing German + Japan's success in creating singularity that has enough energy to destroy the world, France tried to steal Chuuya (that time was still 7 y.o.) from the lab in Japan. But the plan failed and that destructive Arahabaki incident happened. Soon after that, Great War ended with a ceasefire signed by France, Germany, England (as confirmed in 55 Minutes about the ceasefire process)
Now you might have realized which one amongst the three major powers during the Great War didn't have singularity (from that method) as a weapon. Yes, England. Tho they created the Shell (by H.G.Wells, first mention in 55 Minutes) and One Order. The Shell vs the new singularity: The Shell energy itself caused massive annihilation, a singularity effect, but fun fact, the energy was not enough to destroy Guivre singularity, instead it made Guivre stronger
Now, combine those things together with facts in Season 5. All of us witnessed that entity at the end of Season 5, right? Based on info in Stormbringer, that entity high probability is a singularity from Fukuchi's ability created from the same concept as Guivre (Verlaine) and Arahabaki (Chuuya) creation. Yes, few rare people in the world can create powerful singularity with near-UNLIMITED amounts of energy just by using their own ability. These people are called having "self-contradicting ability". Chuuya's original ability that created his singularity is "ability to amplify other abilities". Does it ring a bell? Yes, Fukuchi's ability is ability to amplify the effectiveness of any object he uses as a weapon, so theoretically Fukuchi is one amongst the special people. Full process about creating the singularity in Stormbringer
Now the question, why did that entity suddenly appear? Here is the crazy part of my coping theory: Another bigger and powerful party is involved. Huh? Yes. [Note: This is just me connecting the dots so I might be wrong] Remember which major power country doesn't have the singularity weapon during the Great War? Yes, England. What if England was behind this? Why? Remember we've seen Fyodor, Fitzgerald, and Agatha Christie (from the Order of the Clock Tower of England) were on call a long time ago in the manga. So, they know each other. Remember again who proposed the plan to Fukuchi? Fyodor. What is Fyodor's ultimate goal as mentioned the first time during the Cannibalism arc? Remove the sinners (ability users). So, what if the appearance of Fukuchi's singularity was planned so England can capture it (somehow) to be their weapon?
Now, add another thing from Stormbringer, Verlaine ,Chuuya's older brother who is also currently one of the 5 executives of Port Mafia, mentioned the Storm that will happen in the future. The only time Verlaine will appear again to give his assistance What is the Storm? He never gives specific explanations. This doesn't end here because Verlaine too has connection with the Order of Clock Tower, well... more to he caused an issue to them Verlaine destroyed the Order of the Clock Tower's credibility beyond repair as he easily killed 3 members of the Order and assassinated the Queen (glad the Order used body double) during her coronation. So, what if the other purpose of England doing this was to restore that? other than to obtain a powerful weapon (a singularity).
This also might somehow explain about why Fyodor can easily believe Chuuya was under control. Well, we don't know Meursault Prison's location, but it might be in France (as Meursault is a real location in France). Remember the thing France did during Great War? They tried to steal Chuuya from Japan. Now with Chuuya destroyed Meursault prison, France has strong reason to capture him. Plus Fyodor specifically targeted Chuuya to appear there. Remember when Nikokai asked him whether he wanted to change item? Fyodor basically said no need as he had assistance already (Chuuya).
I also think adam might come back or might save chuuya if he ends up being captured
but yeah this is all i have

Order of the clock tower
With the decay of angels arc slowly reaching its end everyone's expecting order of the clock tower as the upcoming arc.
Order of the clock tower has the potential to be in my opinion one of the best arcs we came across so far even better than the decay of angels arc.
Before anything the only things we know so far about them is their leader , some of the ability wepons they poses , and a little bit on what they are capable of .
First i would like to predict some of the upcoming characters of this organization before talking about the leader Agatha christie in a different post since there's a lot to say about her.
NOW onto some characters predicted to be in the arc :
Now that the leader is agatha christie i expect even more mystery authors to be in the arc : so that leads to the first character im sure would be pretty interesting to be here is
1- Arthur canon doyle : Well known because of his genius detective none other than Sherlock holmss definitely an amazing character to have in bsd , but.. We already have ranpo who is also based on Sherlock and assuming order of the clock tower being a villain Arthur wouldn't be good even if he presents himself as , So that leaves the question who would Arthur be based on? id say Moriarty but ! A mixture of all of his characters as well , First ,Moriarty since we need someone going against ranpo , but then again i would find it interesting for him to not be like Moriarty straight up and as the plot continues we continue to see through Agatha and Arthur's facades and they develop more into the famous villains both of the real authors wrote , while that would leave us with the question what would arthurs ability be ? Id say
Hounds of the Baskerville : Hear me out , its might seem hard but id say its the best ability for him to have, its easy to stick it to the great War , its not an ability to be figured out fast , can be absolutely powerful, because assagiri could give it a hallucination and a real part. Everyone hallucinating a giant Dark hound with red eyes hunting everyone and a mysterious mist turning dogs and other animals horrifying Perfect to annoy dazai and any other character arthur comes across , Id expect him to be based on John watson as well , having some medical knowledge since we could say he worked as a doctor in the great war so to make it short since i can continue even more about him which i will , it would be like this
Detective ( before war and a good character based on Sherlock )
Doctor ( when war broke out , based on watson got his ability got injured wasnt seen after )
Moriarity ( joined clock tower is now a villain yet he still is like Sherlock as well )
If he joined the agency' under cover it would be fantastic , with his perfect deduction skills he'd make ranpo competitive , and he sees a sherlock and kinda watson in yosano and ranpo ?
UP next theres Carroll yes
Lewis Carroll : everyone is expecting him so i thought about it and yes
He would be powerful and i like it
I hope his a Cat ... Almost all the time... But a powerful cat . yes, I want him to be like the Cheshire cat floating in the air and having the wide grin when he finds someone alone, yet his able to talk as cat , and have a mixture of all the powers in alice in the wonder land and his ability would be named Wonderland . yes
Oscar wilde : another awaited charcter i see..
Sorta based on dorian gray , hold one .. Blond hair, rosy cheeks pale skin blue eyes eternally young younger than everyone in the organization(but his older than that) yep fits order of the clock tower perfectly
He'd be a charmer, charming and fooling everyone until later we get to see more of him. He would be one of the most well liked members of the order of the clock tower , a smile bright like the sun. Eyes that are so beautiful for anyone who looks at them. Great taste in fashion. Yet his not fully like dorian since it would make him atleast to me a bit unlikable. Maybe mixture of his works? Or from some quotes i saw from oscar wilde he'd be humble and a bit wise not totally crazy like dorian. Okay so now we have the ability part. Maybe Picture of oscar wilde ? Or just The picture? Second one is nicer id say . with his ability he could make different painting of people and maybe gift it to them as time passes everyone see their crimes on the picture and would go insane . and if he dosent gift it he'd be able to know everyone crimes by looking at their pictures , maybe if he stabs the picture he'd do some damage . and could say if someone is alive or dead by looking at the picture( him and arthur also met )
Mary Shelly : hold on before anything i was a bit confused after storm bringer was ahem spoilers sorry , that Mary actually mary ?
If yes then its great ! Adam again i hope . but not good news this time and she could have even more necromancy powers and im up for it . builds the prophetic arm everyone is predicting fyodor to have yet she dosent know who she made it for and dosent share the incident with the other members. The job she was offered ( the prosthetic arm ) was requested by and unkown person ( sigma, id expect him to wake up know everything about fyodor and is now on fyodors side, its fyodors turn to have amnesia and sigma, welp dazai left him there idk i expect it not even nikolai came so now him and fyodor are a team? ) maybe its too much? But i find it fun
I have another one but ill make another post
ITS
JRR Tolkien : ( ability Lord of the rings ) he'd have all the rings.
I want him to be based on gandalf id be so happy
He'd be wise and a guide. Is like a parent figure to Agatha and Arthur is willing to help the agency but would attack if attacked . the main ring he uses is narya . agatha said they are sending an ability user to burn Yokohama down. Rings a bell? Some characters who have incineration abilities in literature are gandalf and smug . so that ability user was i hope tolkien. On his way to burn Yokohama down.
THANK YOU FOR READING 🌹🌿🌙

ACD (Bungo Stray Dogs OC)
Guidelines
♤ No NSFW posts. (mod is a minor)
♤ Please do not spam post
♤ Asks do not have to be major things! Have fun with this!
mod is @cyanimanga
OC info (To be updated)
♤ ACD is part of the Order of the Clock Tower and a high ranking member
♤ His ability is called "The Five Orange Pips"
♤ The ability, once activated on a person via physical touch, counts down a person's 5 "important events" (varies from person to person). These events count down to their death.
♤ The only thing that can counter it is if one of the events does not happen, or Dazai uses his ability on the affected person
♤ ACD has a rather high IQ and incredible deductive abilities, similar to Ranpo. He doesn't use his ability that often.
♤ He currently has a vendetta against the Armed Detective Agency
(mod: Yes, this is an oc of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle)

I was reading that one post you made about Agatha and how she doesn’t really seem to be a good stand-alone antagonist and I was thinking if maybe that’s how The Remnants of The Guild will come back into play. Like Asagiri has mentioned authors that he wanted to put the manga among like Dante and stuff he mentioned Ernest Hemingway which considering BSDs themes about war and results of it it think he would be a perfect addition. I’d also include Plath in this but that’s more wishful thinking than anything allow considers BSD Steinbeck’s values in regards to family and some of Plath’s works featuring themes of such topics I think it could somewhat work. My money’s definitely more on Hemingway though.
If we're invoking the Guild, as an American-Brit, Raymond Chandler has delightful potential to be involved with both the Order and the Guild. He's also a detective writer, so he would be another mastermind character to fill the void of Dazai and Fyodor's cryptic chicanery. But he's Asagiri's favorite author, which is likely as much of a deterrent for him as a reason to do it.
I also hope Jane Austen makes an appearance. Irl!Natsume Soseki loved her and was greatly influenced by her, and I'd love to see Natsume more, especially set against his literary role model.

(I REALLY want a gothic Order of the Clock Tower arc) My character wishlist for the next arc of BSD:
Oscar Wilde — No brainer. I want the disturbing gay imagery from The Picture of Dorian Gray. Give it! *makes grabby hands*
The Brontë Sisters — Obvi. Wuthering Heights, Jane Eyre, The Tenant of Wildfell Hall. Let’s get WEIRD with Heathcliff imagery c’mon now.
Daphne du Maurier — PLZ PLZ PLZ. There are so many directions you could go with her ability. Personally, I want The Birds.
Robert Louis Stevenson — We HAVE to get an ability based on Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde.
Percy Bysshe Shelley — We bring Mary and Adam back and have Percy and Mary insane couple energy. We should do Prometheus Unbound.
Jane Austen — I want her for a side arc where everybody is forced to overcome their relationship problems with her ability, Pride and Prejudice. I just think it would be funny.
Frenemies JRR Tolkien and CS Lewis — The real life authors once went to a party together dressed as polar bears. There’s so much there.

I'm pretty sure that Natsume is going to be revealed to have some kind of connection with the Order of the Clock Tower...
I could be wrong but irl Natsume went to London on exchange for two years and was... absolutely miserable. It'd be really interesting if he had some kind of unfortunate history with the group - actually, I think it'd make a lot of sense.
We seem to be gearing up for the Order to be the next antagonists (or at least to finally take on some relevance). Natsume has some kind of reason for maintaining the Tripartite plan to protect Yokohama. Adam and Shirase are in London (and so are Eve and Mary Wollstonecraft). The Order has been utilized in this current arc in a minor role and two of their members were killed by the DoA while One Order was stolen - might they retaliate?
Idk I'm rather incoherent but if Natsume turns out to be connected to this organization in some way, I'm just going to say that I called it lol

So Agatha Christie will most likely be the next villain. I'm interested to see what Chuuya will do in the next part of the story considering:
Agatha Christie is the leader of the Order of the Clock Tower, a British organization. Adam, Mary Shelley, and Shirase are in Britain and are close to Chuuya. Chuuya has all these connections in Britain.
And Verlaine killed members of the Order of the Clock Tower
Stormbringer has a lot of characters that are currently in Britain, our next antagonist is located in Britain, I don't think that's a coincidence

One of the biggest things still keeping me so sure Dazai will survive is that I am 100% convinced the next major antagonist is gonna be Agatha Christie and the Order of the Clock Tower and I don't think Asagiri would do presumably a long arc once more without having Dazai there
Maybe I'm delusional, maybe I'm simply using my brain and ignoring any angst thoughts, who knows

In Bungo Stray Dogs there are 6 main gifted organizations, 3 Japanese and 3 foreign. The Japanese are all based in Yokohama and have little to no interest in the Book. The foreign organizations are after the Book. In the beginning all Yokohama based organizations are independent with a loose understanding that they have aligned interests. The foreign organizations are kinda aligned. They had that call when the guild was introduced.
The ADA are the good guys. As new threats emerge they form alliances with the other organizations. With the Gifted Special Operations Division, easier because they had no reason to be enemies. The port mafia, their goals already aligned they just had some moral disagreements. The guild, who made Yokohama their new home and no longer had any reason to fight the agency.
My theory is that either the remains of the Rats in the House of the Dead or the remains of the Decay of the Angels will ally with the Agency, Special Operations Division, Port Mafia, and Guild to combat the Order of the Clock Tower.

“Europe was home to top-class skill users employed by both the government and various criminal organizations, and as a result, those skill users built an extremely elaborate and complex power structure throughout the continent. That was why such a strict surveillance system had been put in place to prevent such individuals from escaping to other countries.”
- Dazai on page 59 of Dark Era
you mean to tell me, crime in europe is semi-legal? you mean to tell me that organized crime is utilized by administrators? that it’s part of the law? that trying to leave europe is nigh impossible if you’re not a government agent?
oho…?
