If the rumors that Mobius is a variant of Odin are true (jesus, it would be better if he was a variant of Thor), then for the sake of the health of our psyche, I propose to deny the existence of episode 6 and ship lokius as if nothing had happened.

Imagine looking at Mobius, someone who spends at least 90% of the series belittling Loki and only bringing up the mistakes he made and thinking that he would be a good love interest for Loki.

Loki series au where Loki's fully convinced from the moment he sees Sylvie that she's actually a Thor Variant because "no self-respecting Loki would choose to have blonde hair, thank you very much," and they fight over it constantly. Mobius interrogates him in episode four and Loki's like, "No, she's a Thor Variant! God, everyone here is so fucking stupid!" and Mobius is like "Loki, we have her temporal aura. She's a Loki. I promise," and Loki just starts pouting because god he's surrounded by idiots.

this but with sylvie and loki. sylvie watched loki be SO in love w mobius and what it did to them and it scared her. she watched as mobius' love changed them and she was fucking TERRIFIED of that happening to her because all her life she had to be tough and closed off and untrusting (you can't trust and i can't be trusted) and the only thing she could ever control is herself and she is so afraid of losing control and letting herself be loved like loki is because that means giving power to someone that is not HER and she can't afford that. she never could. of the two sisters, sylvie is the watcher, as loki is in love and changed because of mobius, as loki is giving herself to mobius and being met with CARE and sylvie watches and cannot be like her. loki is the dancer who is so in love and finally letting herself be. god.

Variants =/= clones. Variants do not necessarily share DNA. They can, but they don't always. This is so obvious in episode 5 of season 1 when Loki meets several other variants of himself. Most of whom look absolutely nothing like him. Alligator Loki being the best example of a variant whose DNA is wildly different than his. So stop saying Sylvie is "a gender swapped clone of Loki" or "she's genetically his sister" or "they're the same person." They are two completely different individuals. So Sylki is not incestuous in anyway. If Loki had fallen for President Loki, then yes, that would be super weird.
In the comics there is a female variant of Loki called Lady Loki, who I'm guessing, is "gender swapped Loki." The fact that the writers very deliberately chose not to use Lady Loki, shows that they were making Sylvie her own character, someone who fills the role of a Loki, but who is genetically different from him.
And the writers have said the Sylvie is NOT the same person as Loki.
You don't have to ship Sylki if you don't want to, but please stop with the absurd and untrue excuses as for why you don't.

🐍💚🟢 Mind blowing and Mind bending ‘Loki’ Facts 🐍💚🟢
~ Loki’s Impact on the Marvel Universe and How he is a Catalyst ~
‪*If he didn’t let the Frost Giants into Asgard to interrupt Thor’s coronation, Thor wouldn’t have come to Earth and met Selvig who then later helped Loki create the ‘space portal machine’ in the Avengers. ‬
*If he didn’t try to destroy Jotunheim then he would never have fallen into the black hole, gotten the Space and Mind stone and got the Avengers to assemble and ‘deliver’ these Infinity Stones to them. He let himself get caught by the Avengers because he WANTED to LOSE!
‪*If he hadn’t of killed Coulson, we wouldn’t have Agents of SHIELD.
‪*If he hadn’t got the sceptre, Wanda wouldn’t have gotten her amplified powers nor would Vision or Ultron ever have existed. Thor & Tony wouldn’t have had their prophesying visions about what would likely happen in IW..‬‬ 🟠
‪*In Thor The Dark World, he saved Jane in order to prevent the Aether (the Reality Stone) from disappearing into the void‬..🔴
*He accidentally got his mother killed & therefore banished Odin which caused to age faster which resulted in him dying and Hela to be released.
‪*He also called for Skurge to take them back to Asgard via the Bifrost but Hela caught the ride with them (who is Loki’s biological sister) which resulted in he and Thor to be sent to Sakaar where Thor reunited with the Hulk and met Valkyrie and Ragnarok to be caused. ‬
‪*If he didn’t take the Tesseract from Odin’s vault in Thor Ragnarok, Thanos wouldn’t have been able to find it therefore the snap either wouldn’t have happened or been delayed. 🟦
‪*If he didn’t let Thanos kill him in Infinity War, Thor would have been snapped out of existence and Thanos would have succeeded in erasing half‬ of the universe.‬.
‬ *If he didn’t use the Tesseract to escape in Endgame, we wouldn’t have the multiverse since he wouldn’t have become the ‘God of Stories’ or create the TVA. 🟦
‪*Sylvie Killing Kang at the end of ‘Loki S1’ made the next big villain for the Avengers to face in Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars. ‬
‪*In ‘Loki S2,’ he has to save the multiverse from being destroyed.
‪*Loki has to recruit heroes from across the multiverse in order to eliminate the ‘Kang Threat.’‬
‪*He can manipulate and re write time now that he is the ‘God of Stories.’‬ 🖊️📖
‪He is a catalyst. ‬
Doctor Strange saw that the only way it would all work was if Tony sacrificed himself. He saw what Loki was doing behind the scenes. Loki recruited HIMSELF into the TVA after recruiting Mobius and other underdogs in order
to humble and guide him. He even created Sylvie so that he could see from the outside what he had once been like and learn to ‘love himself.’ He has to tell her and his past self to not be selfish and power hungry (akin to Charles telling Logan to ‘guide his younger self’ in X-Men: Days of Future Past. He was ‘acting’ bad in the Avengers!! Loki admired Tony because of what he was doing. His purpose was to save the universe! 😭 He told Thor that the ‘Sun would shine on them again’ because he KNEW that they would reunite again eventually and told Thanos ‘You will never be a God.’ Because Loki was always that many steps ahead in the grand scheme of things. He was guiding himself and everyone else the ENTIRE time!😌💚
Btw: Loki called Don ‘Mobius’ due to Tony discovering the ‘Mobius’ strip’ in Endgame. He always admired Tony’s ‘glorious purpose’ and that’s why he keeps referring to him in the ‘Loki’ series and Mobius knows ALL about Loki because HE, Loki MADE him that way!😉🧬
He actually planned to get killed by Thanos in order to save Thor from being snapped and he knew that he would come back one way or another. He said these things for a reason! “I assure you brother, the sun will shine on us again” and “You will never be a God!”
Despite Frigga saying: ‘You’re so perceptive about everyone but yourself,’ the older, wiser Loki knows himself well enough in order to change the other, younger version of himself. He knows EVERYTHING about the Avengers members in the first Avengers movie for a REASON! 😉
So there. Loki is indeed more important to the Marvel Universe than we all realised. 😌‬💚
Thor, Hulk and Loki about the ‘Sun.’ God of Stories Loki made it so that the phrase the ‘sun is going down’ to calm the Hulk down and subdue him and the ‘sun shining on him and Thor again’ was to inspire hope and energy. ☀️
Loki is the ‘World Serpent’ Jörmungandr. 🐍
He created the World Tree Yggdrasil otherwise known as the ‘Tree of Life.’ 🌳
His new helmet is made out of ‘universal rock’ with the essence of the Time Stone in its core. 🟢
His previous horned helmets were gold and so is his new throne because he is an incarnation of Midas.⚱️
The Time Stone is green because of Loki. ‪Did he create it? Did he some how get it to Sanctum Sanctorum?‬ 🟢
‪Did Loki make Heimdall send Bruce to the Sanctum in Infinity War since Loki had been there before (in Ragnarok?) Is that why Bruce mentions ‘Loki’ to Tony, Stephen and Wong informing and warning them about Thanos?‬
So Loki WAS supposed to take the Tesseract in the Endgame heist after all. Kang planned it! 🤯🟦
He can read and control minds 🟡 He can traverse space 🔵 He can control and manipulate time 🟢 He has died and came back to life many times and sacrificed his soul to save the multiverse 🟠 He can manipulate reality with powerful illusions 🔴 He has the power of the multiverse as he absorbed *THREE* black holes when the loom exploded 🟣 And he can rewrite *EVERYTHING!* 🖊️📖 ✨🤯
He is an *OMNIPRESENT, OMNIPOTENT NEXUS BEING* at this point! He can harness all the power of the *MULTIVERSE* after absorbing time and space from the temporal loom! His power is only second to that of the CELESTIALS!! 🤯
*SCREW* the infinity stones! He *IS* the infinity stones He’s essentially a living *INFINITY GAUNTLET!* 🌀🔴🟠🟡🟢🔵🟣 and said *“Fine. I’ll do it myself.”* And recruit heroes from across the multiverse in order to defeat Kang! 😎
He’s the most powerful Marvel character at this point. Creating the world tree, absorbing the multiverse and governing everything in it, *PERIOD!* No need for infinity stones ANYMORE! 🔴🟠🟡🟢🔵🟣
He (Loki) just *LITERALLY* erased, reset and rebooted and *SAVED* the MCU! 🤯🌀
Is the Time Stone green because of Loki? His eyes were *VERY* green after the temporal loom exploded. Did he create it? Did he some how get it to Sanctum Sanctorum?‬ 🟢
‪Did Loki make Heimdall send Bruce to the Sanctum in Infinity War since Loki had been there before (in Ragnarok?) Is that why Bruce mentions ‘Loki’ to Tony and Stephen informing and warning them about Thanos?‬
‪This show just changed Marvel in just about EVERY WAY! 🤯 ‬
He didn’t ‘break the loop.’ He ‘became the loop’ in order to save his friends, family and the entire multiverse. ♾️
Tony sacrificed himself to save half of the universe. Loki sacrificed himself to save the entire *MULTIVERSE!* 🤯
He’s not only the ‘protector of the nine realms’ but *ALL* of existence in *EVERY UNIVERSE!* Making him *MORE* powerful than Odin the ‘All-Father.’ 🤯
He can hear, see, influence and *FEEL* every being in the *ENTIRE MULTIVERSE!* 💚
He didn’t take the infinity stones or crave power anymore but to instead protect the universe and that’s what he’s doing and *THAT* gave him the ultimate power of God! 🥹💚 🔴🟠🟡🟢🔵🟣🚫
The reason that the multiverse exists is because of Loki and how Deadpool, the X-Men etc can enter the MCU.
It really was ‘Loki All Along.’ 😉💚

Sylki is not incest / autocest / selfcest :
So… I risk repeating myself, but I really hate hearing that Sylki is incest, or autocest. Quite simply because it's not true.
Incest : Sexual relations between close relatives (marriage is prohibited) ; incestuous love.
Sylvie and Loki are not close relatives, for the simple reason that they do not share the same blood / DNA. (Variant = genetically distinct) Beyond that, they didn't even grow up / live together, so also can't be bonded like Loki is with his adoptive family.
Autocest : The act of cloning oneself and having sexual relations with said clone.
First of all, Sylvie is not a clone of Loki. She was conceived naturally and born naturally. And even as a variant of Loki she is not him. Once again, she does not share the same blood / DNA as the latter. Beyond that, in terms of pure personality, no, she's not the same as him. They act differently and think differently. Episode 3 is probably the one that illustrates this best during season 1. The number of times Loki points out that he would not act the way Sylvie acts and she replies that, well, she is not not him. Which is completely normal, since the two have not had the same life experiences. What shapes who we are as a person is the trials of life, our experiences. And Loki and Sylvie definitely didn't have the same ones.
“My interpretation of it is that they're both Lokis, but they aren't the same person. I don't see them as being like brother and sister. They have completely different backgrounds… and I think that's really important to her character.” - Kate Herron.
So in summary, they don't share the same blood / DNA. They also don't have the same experiences, so as a result they have different personalities.
So… literally, this incest and autocest bullshit has no backing.
The whole series spends its time reminding us that Sylvie is not Loki. She says it herself several times. Moreover, to clearly reinforce this trait, “Sylvie” is literally a name that she chose for herself, precisely to differentiate herself from Lokis. It's hammered home throughout the series, Sylvie is her own person. This is also why Loki reminds Mobius that Sylvie, well, her name is Sylvie, when he tells him that he has fallen in love with himself, in 1x04. To remind the viewer that no, Sylvie is not Loki, she is again her own person. And it's problematic for me when so many people try so hard to reduce her to being a Loki. Even from those who love her. Simply because it's something Sylvie hates : Being called / cathegorized by Loki. (Probably because it removes the impression of being a person and brings it back to the fact that the TVA only sees her as a variant, and therefore that she should not exist, knowing that she just wants to have a life and live it)
“Also, Sylvie's not Loki. Sylvie is Sylvie.” - Tom Hiddleston.
The only thing Sylvie and Loki really share internally is being the deity of mischief. Which translates into a role / identity given to them within the universe / timeline they came from, with the same power base ; the witchcraft. Something that is learned and not transmitted by genetics in the MCU universe. So there is nothing biological about it that could relate to incest and even less to autocest.
“They sort of have the same role in terms of the universe and destiny, but they won't make the same decisions.” - Kate Herron.
Are Sylvie and Loki alike ? Yes. But no more than other fictional couples are capable of being. That they resemble each other in some way is not proof that they are the same person. Especially since as said previously, they do not have the same personalities / lived / dna / blood...
Once again, Reylo is the perfect example in terms of comparison to Sylki : - Different, but complicated pasts which return them to their feeling of loneliness. - Their problem of opening up to the world because of there traumas. - The feeling that no one else really understands them. - Similarity in combat techniques and synchronization of movements at various times, etc.
Then, something else that both annoys me and makes me laugh a lot… It's those who use Sylvie's line during episode 5 from season 1, namely “we're the same”, the only one of its kind you will notice in Sylvie's mouth, but ardently use by the antis to prove themselves right in their argument that Sylvie is absolutely the same person as Loki, so that the relationship is considered incest, or autocest. So… I don't know what these people's consumption of cinematic media is, but they must have missed a lot of romances… No, because it's a classic phrase / expression in this area, to express that two characters are alike ! Example :
Tumblr media
Telling another person “we're the same” is not a contradiction to “I am not you”. And I can't believe this is something I have to explain / needs to be explained to some people.
“I think he realizes, and she realizes, that while they're the same, they're not the same.” - Tom Hiddleston.
I mean... No one is seriously going to say that the spidermans of the Marvel shared universe are the same person. Are they ? Because I've never seen anyone do it. Normal. Since that would just be completely stupid ! No ? Also, directly in the case of the MCU we were treated to Thor and Jane, both being thunder deities, which didn't bother anyone, according to my memories !
The fact that Sylvie is a variant of Loki with whom he falls in love is specifically there to bring about the rather clear metaphor / symbolism of Loki learning to finally love himself as a person (besides loving someone else entirely), even though he considers himself a monster. Because yes, Loki's narcissism is essentially just a cover to hide how monstrous he feels, something I feel like a lot of people forget.
Loki “falls in love with himself”, as Mobius describes it, is not proof of vanity / narcissism which would prevent any evolution of Loki as Mobius and some antis claim. On the contrary, Loki's love for Sylvie not only leads him to see himself differently, but also allows him a real positive evolution.
“to me, is ultimately about self-love, self-reflection and forgiving yourself, it just felt right that that would be Loki's first real love story.” - Michael Waldron.
“I don't think Loki's relationship with himself has been very healthy,” Tom Hiddleston explains. “Trying to accept those aspects of himself, which he's been on the run from, was a way of thinking about that in a really interesting way.”
Besides, in the end, to rephrase in a clearer sense, Loki falls in love with Sylvie as much because he sees himself in her (the metaphor of the dagger in 1x03) as he finds her amazing as a person (Loki discovering Sylvie's story at the start of episode 4 on Lamentis).
Something that is once again nothing surprising in a romance. Many couples fall in love because they find themselves in the person they love, in addition to for the differences they share. Even if Loki's metaphor for love with the dagger is not entirely correct, the aspect of seeing oneself in it is for some a truth.
“Love [...]. You can see yourself in it.” - Loki, 1x03.
“When Loki meets Sylvie, he's inspired solely by curiosity,” reveals Hiddleston. “He wants to talk to her and understand her and try to discern what was similar about their experiences, and what was different. He keeps asking her questions because he wants to see if his experience was also her experience. I think he realizes, and she realizes, that while they're the same, they're not the same.”
So, not only does the incest and autocest argument not work, but the similarities these two share (which seem to bother so many people) and the reason(s) they fall in love, well are in is more of a classic fictional couple coding question designed to represent either the complementarity aspect or the soulmate aspect.
Sylki is essentially two sides of the same coin, or mirrors of each other, like many fictional romantic relationships. (Reylo again for exemple !) Which consequently causes their influence on each other. Because yes, not only does Sylki falling in love influence Loki, but also Sylvie.
Loki obviously learns, as I have already said, to love himself, but also to love someone else unconditionally, to trust them fully. He also learns a new form of magic, and in the end, he even starts playing the hero. Sylvie learns for the first time in her life to trust someone, to open up, to form a team and above all finally develops her first good memories. People often say that Sylvie is incapable of sacrificing herself for anyone, but the truth is that she literally scrambled herself to have a chance of finding Loki, when she wasn't even sure that It would work and perhaps simply kill her, therefore indirectly committing suicide. Additionally, it is also emphasized how Sylki is stronger together than apart.
“They are a mirror to each other. They challenge each other, and out of the challenge, they grow together.” - Tom Hiddleston.
With everything I have just explained / demonstrated, I really have a hard time understanding how this ship can be so controversial / misunderstood…
I don't find the series very subtle on the message for Sylki and beyond that, the writers and actors themselves have already explained these same things in a more condensed way in several interviews.
I mean, I am aware that sometimes the words of directors, screenwriters and actors can be stupid and incoherent (the case of the HOTD series being the perfect example of that…), but here, don't mess around, the series (at least season 1) was very well constructed and visibly thought out.
Really, I don't understand. One of the reasons why people are so uncomfortable is surely and simply maybe the term variants (and again it's because I'm nice...), which for these people necessarily equates to being the same person in all the meanings of the term, which, as we have demonstrated throughout this post, is absolutely not the case… Which can be verified by the series itself, the interviews with the writers and actors which agree with what is shown on the screen, etc. Knowing that in addition I have seen tons of people on tumblr with absolutely remarkable analytical skills (and therefore also in terms of symbolism) yet surprisingly not understanding what the Sylki relationship is, defining it instead as a incest / autocest…
So I can only at this stage, for me at least, deduce that this kind of talk about Sylki is willful and stubborn ignorance from people who simply don't like the ship, trying to justify it from a more “reasonable” and or perhaps “intellectual” way, no idea… than a simple “I don't like it, because tastes cannot be controlled”. Which is OK, because everyone has the right to like what they like / want !
On the other hand, spreading or saying bullshit / false things about the ship in question, to persuade people not to / no longer like it, is something I can't stand.
Please note, everyone is free to say whatever they want, as long as they clarify once again that it is their personal opinion. I am talking about people who speak of their opinion about this ship (or any ship) as fact while making fun of others who like it, make them feel guilty / horrible, or trying to change people's tastes…
Is Sylki weird ? Yes, of course. We are talking about two variants with the same identity falling in love ! Obviously the viewer will find this strange, because it's a concept almost never seen before after all in tv, and complex. But it doesn't necessarily mean bad, toxic, perverse, immoral or unhealthy relationship as the antis argue (knowing that in addition it is in contradiction with the positive message about love for oneself that the relationship transmits), notably to try to take down the ship, especially since Sophia di Martino said she found Sylki “weird”. Which is infuriating, because they act as if the actress's opinion is dominant over those directly writing the story, and that her simple opinion will change the minds of Sylki's fans or should condemn the ship to any possible future ! But also it is mostly infuriating because, well, beyond that, as @where-theres-smoak-2 so well pointed out :
“when you actually look at the definition of the word weird it doesn't necessarily mean something bad. The definition from Cambridge dictionary is : very strange and unusual, unexpected, or not natural. The Merriam-Webster definition is : of strange or extraordinary character, of, relating to, or caused by witchcraft or the supernatural. Which lets be honest fits Sylki, they are unusual, strange, unexpected, extraordinary and you could argue with the whole variant thing its got that supernatural element to it as well. I mean them being weird is what makes them fun and entertaining to watch so honestly I'm not mad that she said they were weird.”
But in itself, is the relationship incest ? No. Because not the same blood / DNA and in no way grew up together like Loki was do with Thor / his adoptive family. Autocest / the same literal person ? Neither. For what ? Because again not the same blood / DNA, and they have not the sames experiences, therefore different personalities which influence their behaviour. Being variants, for Sylki, simply mean (once again) being the deity of mischief, a role / identity given to them within the universe / timeline they came from. That's all. (Damn, some will also tell me while we're at it that the crocodile Loki is the same as our Loki ?! Be a little objective people…) There is nothing bad, toxic, perverse, disgusting, immoral or unhealthy about the Sylki relationship.
Fuck the antis !

If you could rewrite sylvie to make her a character you liked and a character worthy of Loki's love, what would you do differently?
Good question! Ugh, I supposed starting entirely fresh and from scratch or just swapping her out for Sigyn is off the table? Let's see...
1- Make her anything but another Loki. The selfcest thing is the only thing worse than Sylvie's actual characterization. Starting off by giving her an entirely different identity. I mean, while I find Thorki and all incest ships to be 'ewww-y', I guess I'd have less of an issue if she was a Thor Variant. Maybe ditching the romance angle and making her an Odin Variant that Loki has to develop his redemption arc through by means of confronting the relationship he had with his adopted father. But no, that'd be deep and interesting.
2- Get rid of her pissy attitude! God, can she be any less approachable? Honestly, I think if I had the choice of being pruned or going on an adventure with her, I'd chose the former. She's not pleasant or fun, she's too driven by her trauma and selfishness that she doesn't care for her teammates, and she prefers to put down instead of motivate, so there's no reason whatsoever to thrown in your lot with her. Someone like her would be an absolute detriment to The Avengers, so why should she be considered an asset or ally to Loki and Mobius? And why should audiences be expected to sympathize with her?
Also, why do the writers of this show think fans of Loki, who CLEARLY are the target audience of this show (or else it wouldn't literally be called "Loki") would be game for just watching him get his ass kicked and/or demeaned every five minutes? That's like advertising the world's most satisfying James Bond movie, only to kill Bond in the first act and have the rest of the film be about Pussy Galore.
3- Revamp herbackstory to make it less of an eyeroller. Sylvie had the single most cardboard cut out backstory known to storytelling. Take out her name and actor and you'd have every Meg Ryan and Sandra Bullock character from 1990-2005. In this massive MCU, the writers couldn't come up with ANYTHING better than a girl/woman who has to fend for herself in a cruel, mean world that just doesn't understand her?
Like....anything?
Even half-assing it could develop something better. How about making her a trained assassin that Loki has to de-program? Yeah, it's far from a unique premise, and I'm sure Waldron couldn't do it any better than Winter Soldier did, but it's still better than what we are expected to support here.
4- Recasting the role. Nothing against Sophie DiMartino, but she and Tom have no romantic chemistry. Even without the bickering and terrible writing, their dynamic would be more suited to an estranged brother and sister at best.
I haven't decided if I'm in the camp of fancasting Zawe alongside Tom in the MCU, especially now that she's been placed elsewhere and her character in The Marvels probably won't ever encounter Loki, but at least we know there'd be legit chemistry between them, and it would be easier to digest the pairing (probably just cute seeing them play off each other on screen too).
If not Zawe, maybe a big character actor that we know can swashbuckle but also be soft and sympathetic, like Keira Knightly or Zhang Ziyi.

Did Loki technically commit incest if he married the girl version of himself. Isn’t that like him but if he was a women so technically that’s his sister ?? Or am I tripping cus I haven’t watched it but I heard that part and it’s super confusing.
hm, this is a popular critique people have against the loki/sylvie pairing. personally i'm more pissed about how out of character it is for loki to suddenly fall in love with anyone at all given his mental state, how disrespectful of his genderfluid and bi/pansexual identities it is to only have 1 female variant of him and to make that the one he falls in love with, and about how bad of a character sylvie is in general.
in regards to the discourse, i guess i see it more as fucking your clone than fucking your sibling? which i suppose people also have varying opinions on. personally i'm not too concerned about the morality of it it's just weird and out of character and pretty cringe

Not seeing a new Wip Wednesday game main post so im just gonna post here and I'll re-post if one goes up.
But, uh, go ahead and request! I'm working on my same 3 fics. Here are some excerpts:
Jupeter s5 rangian street poker au:
“God dammit, Ruby,” Juno grunted, and the Ruby separated itself from Juno’s person to reassemble itself nearby. It was back in car form and it was very odd to see a car parked in the middle of a saloon. This odd sight didn’t seem to faze Juno who just continued to scold it. “What have I told you about sending out distress calls when no one is actually in distress?” The Ruby chirped back and Juno scoffed. “No, you missing the Big Guy does not count as you being in distress.”
Lokius post SKIN ??? S2:
“I’m just checking,” Loki demurs, smirking.
“Checking?” He asks, shivering slightly as Loki slides his fingers under Mobius’s undershirt.
“Your skin,” Loki says, like the answer is obvious. “I’m just making sure it's all still there.”
Thor plus tva bro reunion fic with bonus lokius (and also sylvie sister vibes):
Mobius motioned for Thor to pass over the Tesseract. With a sigh, Thor hesitantly put it on the desk and Casey gingerly took it. He hid it under the desk, and then he also hid under the desk.
“Very well, mortal.”
“Mobius.”
“Mobius,” Thor repeated. “Let’s have this… chat.”
-
If you send me an ask about one, then I will send you back some newly written sentences!
Tag your friends! Tag yourself!

SOMETHING ELSE I LOVED ABOUT THE VISUAL STORYTELLING AND THE PARRALELLS AND SHIT--
Okay so, we already got the Mobius' sons are a reference to Loki and Thor (troublemaker and older brother who always has to catch him and stop him)
But even in the scene where B-15 is a doctor, who is she treating? A little girl who HAS AN OLDER SISTER in the room grinning at her. What did the younger sister do? Her arm was wounded, likely from climbing and getting into trouble. She got a cast with the words "DON'T CLIMB TREES" written on it.
"But that won't stop you, will it?"
The little girl grins and shakes her head.
THE TWO SONS ARE PARALLELS TO LOKI AND THOR--
BUT THE TWO SISTERS ARE PARALLELS TO SYLVIE AND HER SISTER!!!
I LOVE THIS SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Y'ALL THIS MAKES SO MUCH SENSE.
Tumblr media
LOKI'S MOM PASSED AWAY RIGHT ⁉️⁉️ BUT HEAR ME OUT. FRIGGA LOVED LOKI A LOT SO WHEN SHE PASSED AWAY HE COPED FOR A WHILE. SO WHEN SYLVIE CAME ALONG AND MIND YOU SHE UNDERSTANDS SOME AND MOST OF HIS PAIN AND I FEEL LIKE THE ONLY REASON HE KISSED SYLVIE WAS BECAUSE HE HAS MASSIVE MOMMY ISSUES. EVEN IN THE INTERVIEW WITH TOM HIDDLESTON HE SAID HE THINKS OF SYLVIE LIKE A SISTER. LOKI AND SYLVIE CONSTANTLY ARGUE LIKE SIBLINGS. THEY ONLY TALK OR LOOK AT EACH OTHER WHEN THEY ARGUE. HE ONLY KISSED SYLVIE WAS TO KEEP HER FROM KILLING THE ONE WHO REMAINS.
NOW ONTO MOBIUS.
Tumblr media
GUYS. LOOK HOW THEY LOOK AT EACH OTHER. THERE'S SO MUCH CONNECTION HERE. COMPARED TO SYLVIE AND LOKI. BUT NOW COMPARING SINCE LOKI ALSO LOST OFIN AND LAUFEY. HE HAD DADDY ISSUES AND I PROMISE I'M GOING SOMEWHERE- HE DIDN'T GET AFFECTION FROM EITHER OF HIS FATHER'S SO I FEEL LIKE IT EXPLAINS WHY HE CARED ABOUT MOBIUS SO MUCH BECAUSE MOBIUS GAVE HIM A CHANCE AND HE TRIED TO HELP. LOKI FELL IN LOVE WITH A KIND OLDER MAN. COME ON GUYS. AND AT THE END OF SEASON 2 WHEN LOKI WENT TO SAVE THE TVA AND THE TIME LINES HOW MOBIUS LOOKED AT LOKI AND LITERALLY RAN TO THE DOOR. and SYLVIE just stood there. GOD DAMMIT. I FEEL LIKE IN THE FIRST SEASON THEY HAD TENSION THAT THEY WEREN'T SURE OF YET AND THEN IN THE SECOND SEASON THAT TENSION GOT RELIEVED. DO Y'ALL NOT SEE THE OLD MARRIED COUPLE FIGHTS THEY HAVE??? THE "MISSION" TO THAT CIRCUS PLACE FOR THE VARIANT OF ONE WHO REMAINS?? IT WAS A DATE DID YOU NOT SEE??
Tumblr media
HENCE LOKI SHOULD'VE KISSED MOBIUS AND GET MARRIED. TRUST.

I believe in 2012-2013? I was around 13-14 years old, so around then anyway (my first one doesn’t exist online anymore as far as I know so I can’t double check.) it was the usual middle school fandom girl era lol. First for my current account was February of 2022!
first character you wrote for:
It would have been Rin Matsuoka from Free! Iwatobi Swim Club! Specifically him and Nitori, they were one of my fave ships in that series!
main character(s) you’re currently writing for:
Basically anyone from the Loki series but especially Loki and Mobius and Sylvie, not necessarily in that order or all together but some combo of them 💚
character(s) you haven’t written about before but plan on writing about soon:
I haven’t written for OFMD but would really like to! I’ve had a lot of feels s2, no solid ideas yet but maybe something will spark some inspiration! Also Red White and Royal Blue! I haven’t gotten a chance to read the book yet but I watched the movie and got hooked and love those boys too 💕 so maybe one or both of them if the Loki series even temporarily gets it’s hooks out of me (with s2 though I’ve been as bad if not worse than before with my obsession so who knows lol)
And for within marvel the ship that got me into fanfic and got me to make this current ao3 account was Stucky so even though I only read for them and never wrote, they always have a place in my heart!
fandom(s) you’re currently writing for:
Also just Loki atm! But who knows for the future.
platonic pairing(s) you currently write for:
Mobius and any of the void Lokis as the best found family ever (Mobius and kid, Mobius and classic, Mobius and all of them my beloveds)
I haven’t written it recently but also wrote B-15 and Sylvie in a non romantic context and even though I think they’re also cute romantically I love them as a platonic pair and want to do more with them too! Similarly Sylvie and C-20, I wish they could have been friends if things had gone a bit differently 🥺
romantic pairing(s) you currently write for:
Lokius and Sylkius! Haven’t written any pure Sylki but who knows (I just like Mobius too much to not include him atm)
your top 3 tags on AO3 (if you post your works on AO3):
Hurt/comfort, fluff, and hugs 😂 sounds about right to me! I like some pain and crying and working through stuff but need the hugs and comfort alongside it/after it for sure.
your current platform where you post your works
AO3 is the same as my name here!
I try to post my fics links on tumblr too but don’t always remember so ao3 is always best bet if you want to read my stuff!! 😍
snippet of the wip you’re currently working on:
Right now I’m most heavily focused on a character study type fic cataloging different moments with Sylvie adapting to her McDonald’s life but specifically looking at her relationship with Jack, I think she would have such a great big sister vibe and they could learn a lot from each other 🥹
“Good job today, Sylvie,” Jack says, his lopsided smile clear even before Sylvie glances his way. He’s always got compliments and kindness at the ready, and he’s young and gentle enough that they’re always believable.
“Thanks, Jack,” she feels a smile curl onto her face. She still, even after knowing Loki and Mobius and B-15, feels like she doesn’t know how to have friends or family or any genuine connections at all. But Jack is the first in a long time to feel so real to her, to feel like a relationship she can stick with, with these new more permanent circumstances and her distance from the trauma of the TVA. She doesn’t remember what it’s like to be a sister, her memories of Thor long gone beyond the occasional glimmers in her dreams, let alone what being the older sister would be like, but this is what she suspects it is. A fierce protectiveness and gentle care, the ignoring of any silly flaws or naïveté because you just care about the person. That’s what she has for Jack, ever since he took her under his wing as an employee, she’s done the same for him as just a person.
“Mind if I stay here for a bit? My ma is going to be a few more minutes.”
Sylvie just smiles softly and scoots over on the wide hood of her truck, gesturing to the empty spot.
Jack nods rather sagely as he awkwardly hoists himself on to the hood of the truck, pushing himself up with his arms and then practically throwing himself on to it.
He pants softly as he adjusts to lay on his back a foot or two away from Sylvie, giving her another boyish grin. “Hey.”
“Very smooth, Jack,” Sylvie snorts.
“Your truck is huge! I’ve ridden in trucks before but yours is massive! I’m not sure how you even get up here, you’re shorter than me!” He laughs.
“My little secret, I guess,” Sylvie shrugs with a slight smile, returning her gaze to the inky sky, dotted with a trillion stars.
I’m excited to keep writing this, I’ve got some Lokius ideas in the works too but this one has been my focus for a few days!!
I’d love to see anyone do this that is interested but I’ll tag my usual group!!

Loki, Sylvie, Sylki, and the Future of the MCU.
Firstly, as you may have heard, the MCU is reportedly scrapping the whole Kang storyline and replacing him with Dr. Doom. I have no doubt that this is in response to the domestic abuse allegations made against Jonathan Majors. The issue, however, is how are they going to write Kang out of the MCU? They spent years, both seasons of Loki, and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania setting up a multiversal war with Kang's numerous variants. So how are they going to swap out Kang for Dr. Doom? They can't just pretend Kang never existed or was a threat. That would be absolutely terrible writing. The only thing I can think of is to have the Dr. Doom variants take out the Kang variants because they want to be the most powerful.
My next point of concern is Sylki and just what the MCU is going to do with it. I know that it can't be the main focus, not with so many other characters needed to fight the war. But I do want them to at least acknowledge it was a romance. The writers of Loki have said several times that it is a romantic relationship. It just didn't feel that strong in season 2 and I think they need to actually commit to the bit. Especially if, as I suspect, this is might be the last phase and end of the MCU.
I really don't want Sylvie and Loki's first reunion since the end of season 2 to happen off screen. It's something they need to show. So either a) only a short amount of time has passed when we get the reunion or b) HWR's tempad cannot take Sylvie to where Loki is. I say this part because I really hate the idea of Sylvie not going to find Loki quickly. Even Sophia said in a recent interview that Sylvie wouldn't leave Loki alone for long and the only way I will accept her not doing so is if she is unable to go to him. Plus, imagine the drama of their reunion if that ends up being the case.
Of course that is assuming that we get show-Loki (which it sounds like we are). I wouldn't mind getting movie-Loki, but not just him. If we only get one Loki, I want it to be show-Loki. What's the point of making him the God of Stories and replacing HWR otherwise if they're not going to have him participate in the multiversal war? And I'd hate to have the only Loki we get be one who doesn't know who Sylvie is. If they brought in both Lokis, though, they could really have some fun with it. Just imagine Sylvie meeting movie-Loki, quickly realizing it's not her Loki, and going "Damn! Wrong Loki!" and he just goes, "What are you talking about? I'm the only Loki!" Plus, it would be awesome to see how the two Lokis play off each other. Especially considering just how different their lives have been after the battle of New York.
Speaking of different versions of the same character, I know because this is dealing with the mutliverse, we are very likely to get variants of the other characters. And I'm fine with that, but the one character that I want our version of and not just a variant is Thor. I want our Thor to meet show-Loki and learn what he's done. It just wouldn't hit the same with a different version of Thor. And think about how much our Thor has lost. He's lost both of his parents, Loki (multiple times), Heimdall, Vlostagg, Hogun, Fandral, maybe Sif, his home, and now Jane. Yes, he gained an adopted daughter at the end of Love and Thunder, but that's just one gain compared to all of his losses. He needs to gain more. He needs Loki back. He needs to meet Sylvie and take her to heart as a sister (which he would totally do).
All in all, I guess you could say that I'm mildly optimistic about the future of the MCU.

I see a lot of hate for Sylvie, personally I don’t like the ship of Loki x Sylvie but I don’t hate her either but I do like having Sylvie like the Twin sister for Loki or best friends. Having sibling vibe for Loki and Sylvie would be great.
I don’t know..That’s just my opinion.
