All That Heals is a Little Romance
Pairing: Luke Castellan x Daughter of Demeter!Fem!Reader
Tags: fluff, established relationship, injury, healing powers, kisses, flirting, smug Luke Castellan
Word count: 0.6k
A/N: Final commission of this batch! Might open them again soon.
Tumblr media
As the daughter of Demeter it was your job that those who got seriously hurt in the Camp got the best help they needed. It was a tough job but it was your calling, you liked doing it, brining a smile to someone's face, making them feel better, or chastising them for making really stupid mistakes that got them hurt. "What were you thinking Luke? Running up a wall?! And for what?"
You carefully took his shoe off, cringing when you saw how swollen his ankle was from the sprain. That wasn't his only injury either, there were small thorn-like cuts all over his arms and face too.
"I wanted to see if I could so it without the wings." This is exactly the kind of stupid stuff that you, and he, have advised others against doing.
"And why exactly did you do something so dumb?" You suspected you already knew what he'd say to that. But who knows maybe he'll surprise you.
"I know they're all watching." The 'they' never referred to other members of Camp Half-Blood.
You sighed and started massaging his ankle, trying to feel for any cracks. Luke grunted in pain every time you pressed down but nothing seemed broken or out of place. "Nothing's broken." You would need to bandage it just in case he doesn't heed your warning, "You need to take it easy for a few days. No more stupid dares to impress the Gods. I know you want to prove yourself, we all do, in one way or another, but it shouldn't come at the cost of... you Luke."
Luke rubbed the back of his neck, having heard all this before. From you and his mentors and peers. You've all been given this talk at some point. It never made the burdens of your parentage any easier for any of you. Pretty words could only go so far.
"I'll try." That's what he always said.
"I mean it Luke. No more running around. Or else I'll have to tie you to the bed until you feel better."
Luke chuckled and wiggled his eyebrows, "That's kinda kinky. It's always you medics."
"Ugh. You pervert." You tightened the bandage a bit too tight for one split second before you eased up on him. "Okay. Don't put pressure on this if you don't have to. I'll give you some healing cream I made. It doesn't smell the best but put it on your ankle every nigh before bed and give it a few minutes to get absorbed."
Luke made a disgusted noise when you brought out the small container with the cream, "Yes nurse." His nose relaxed the moment you booped it.
"Okay. I'll know if you lie to me Luke. You know I will. Now, for your other injuries. They're not as bad so... lean back a little." The demi-god looked skeptical of your plans but listened anyways, knowing it was pointless to argue with you when you worked.
As soon as he sat back on the bed you sat in his lap and kissed one of his small cuts, healing it instantly. "Oh! Now this is the kind of medicine I like!"
"I knew you would." You rolled your eyes to humor him and gently cupped his face. "There's a lot of these so we might be here for a while."
"Yeah but it's all about making the patient feel better right? That's what you said." Luke placed his hands on your hips and smiled smugly at your now slightly flustered face.
"You're lucky I'm your girlfriend or else I would have kicked you out for that bad joke." You leaned in again, your kiss healing his next cut. You lost track of how many there were, or how long you've been doing your job, but this was one more part of it that you could wholeheartedly say you loved.

Pancake Breakfast
Copia x Reader ~ The smell of Copia cooking in the kitchen rouses you out of sleep
Warnings: None, this is just something silly I wrote to fight the Monday Sads, gender neutral reader, sfw, 670 words
Tumblr media
The delicious smell coming in from the kitchen woke you up.
You took a moment to burrow deeper into Copia's bed. His duvet enveloping you in a warm cocoon you didn't really want to leave. It didn't smell so bad in here either. Traces of his cologne lingered on his pillow and you pulled it to your face, inhaling the scent of the man you loved deeply. If it wasn't for your growling stomach you would have stayed there longer.
Pancakes, more specifically, Copia's pancakes were your favorite.
Donning an old band t-shirt of Copia's and some fuzzy socks you quickly slipped out of his bedroom and made your way down the hallway. You could hear him puttering around in the kitchen, pots being moved on the stove and cabinet doors being opened. He was singing too, some ABBA song that you were sure had him wobbling his ass around his small kitchen.
Once you got in sight of him you had to cover your mouth to stifle your laughter. Wobbling wasn't even the half of it. Copia was doing a full on dance routine in just his old red sweatpants. You watched him in secret until you started feeling guilty but it took the sight of him flipping something in a pan for you to remember why you left his bed to begin with.
You quietly entered the kitchen, taking a seat at his small table that was covered in small bowls of various fruits. The blueberries were too tempting and you were in the process of grabbing a handful when Copia turned and shouted out in alarm before dropping the frying pan.
"Satan's balls! When did you get in here?"
"Somewhere around the second chorus of 'Take A Chance On Me'." Copia's cheeks turned red and while continuing to tease him was tempting instead you got up and pressed kisses along the red skin. "Have I ever told you how cute you are?"
"Hmm, not since last night."
He grinned, leaning in quickly to kiss your lips before kneeling down to pick up his pan.
"So what did I do to deserve pancakes?" You raised an eyebrow when Copia froze briefly. He cleared his throat and quickly turned with the pan to set it on the stove. "What?"
"Niente, let me make you a new batch."
"Don't worry, if they didn't touch the floor they'll be...fine." You moved to stand next to him while you tried to reassure him but now it was your turn to freeze when you saw the size of the pancakes. "Why are they so small?"
Copia winced when you looked back to the table, taking in all the little bowls of fruit and finally noticing the small colorful dishes carefully set out. Dishes that looked suspiciously like those he used for his...
"Did you make pancakes for your rats?!" He was pouting, refusing to meet your eyes when you looked back at him. "Really?"
"I uh, I wanted to make them breakfast."
"A pancake breakfast." He nodded once, grabbing the spatula and scooping out the perfectly made rat-sized pancakes. You let out a little laugh, reaching up to ruffle his salt and pepper hair before planting a kiss to his bare shoulder. "I love you, Copia."
"Tsk, you just want my pancakes."
"Yes but human sized ones for me, please." He yelped when you smacked his ass and you quickly moved out of the way when he tried to grab you. "Keep cooking! I'll go get your rats."
"Our rats."
You shot him a grin before heading out to the living room where you could already hear the rats busy in their cage. Behind you Copia started back in on his song and you couldn't help but look back at him. At the same moment he spun around, his spatula pointed your way as he sang along with the song.
"'Cause I love you so!"
You snorted, shaking your head at his antics. A pancake breakfast for rats.
Lucifer, you loved this man so much.

The Bad Batch Having a Token of Their Love For You Would Include (Bad Batch x Reader)
Tumblr media
A/N: I love these boys so much and I thought of this instead of going to sleep all week. I really hope y'all like my idea for Echo's especially. He deserves the galaxy and more.❤️ (I also had extra ideas that are definitely still in character but probably "anachronistic", so I just labeled them bonus. I mean we have finally 'caf'' aka coffee in SW canon, so maybe there's hope for hoodies 🤭)
Description: Bad Batch x Fem!Reader | Warnings: none, just lots fluff and kisses

Hunter
He would get a tattoo of your name
Hunter did not need his heightened senses to be certain that he had fallen in love with you - if anything, they just strengthened his conviction that you were the one he was meant to find
Being the intensely devoted and thoughtful man he is, you were on his mind constantly, and he wanted a symbol of his love to be as a part of him as you had become
He didn't even tell you at first because he wanted it to be surprise
It wasn't until he changed into plainclothes for an undercover mission that you noticed the new black ink on his right bicep
You grabbed his arm and stared at the Aurebesh letters spelling your name
"You like it?" he asked, a little nervous
Speechless, you pulled him into a kiss
"I'll take that as a yes" he smiled, before getting another embrace filled with kisses
Whenever you have time alone together, you love to slowly trace the letters with your finger and listen as he dreamily talks about the future
Later in your relationship, he would want to add to it with a portrait of you, and someday, the names of your children
Bonus: he would keep anything you gave him like a pendant or a ring and wear it whenever he could (this man would totally wear one of your scrunchies and make it look hot - a product of his 'girl dad' powers that you find very attractive)
Wrecker
He would keep your shirt to cuddle with
The only thing Wrecker has ever been discreet about in his entire life is his feelings as he was falling for you
It wasn't for lack of trying. He had been officially head over heels for months, but every time he tried to tell you, his words suddenly came out wrong
You thought it was adorable, and you were sure he'd figure out how to say what he was feeling when he was ready. It just gave you more opportunity to realize you were falling for him too
What you couldn't figure out, however, was where your favorite shirt had disappeared to
That is until, after days of searching, you finally caught a glimpse of it tucked beneath the pillow in Wrecker's bunk
You were stifling a giggle when he walked up behind you, looking nothing less than mortified
"Oh, Y/N! That! I uh...I found it on the floor and I was going to give it back to you! But it smelled really nice, and pretty...like you, and um, then I forgot..." he stammered, his face bright red
You smiled and kissed him on the cheek, "Keep it."
In the weeks following, you would refresh it with a spray of your perfume every so often when he wasn't looking
He would also draw doodles of you whenever he had downtime
You were all on a mission not long after the discovery of that day, and during his watch, you rolled over to see him drawing in the sand with a stick. He'd scribbled your initials together within a heart, surrounded by a dozen tinier hearts.
Suffice to say he was not the only one feeling absolutely smitten from then on
Bonus: speaking of shirts, you would absolutely be the couple with the "If lost, return to ___ + I'm ___" tees (likely worn with your matching homemade 'friendship' bracelets)
Tech
He would keep a recording of your voice and laughter
Tech is a private person when it comes to his emotions, but he feels very deeply, even if he isn't sure how to best express his growing affection for you (he thinks it's obvious, after all)
It's this very reason why you doubted that he returned your feelings at first, until you walked by him one day and heard the sound of your own laughter, playing over and over
"What's that?" you questioned, now recognizing the moment that had caused your sides to nearly split (Wrecker had just taken the most dramatic fall into mud you'd ever seen, immediately after bragging he was 'too heavy' to slip)
Tech muted the sound and kept his stare on the datapad, "I capture auditory recordings of all of my interactions for analysis, and file away important data for later reference."
"My laughing is 'important data'?" you smirked as he hesitated for only a moment
"Well, no. Not technically. It is, however, a pleasant sound that reminds me of you, and one that I would like not to forget. By that reasoning, it is important to me," he stated, calmly meeting your awe-struck gaze
It took all your strength not throw yourself into his arms right then and there. He went back to filing his recordings, oblivious to the fact that he had just irreversibly won your heart
He'd also incorporate you into some of his private passcodes
Anything from your initials to your eye color to your favorite flower - just some of the many details that he associates with you and remind him of how much he cares for you
Bonus: if he had a lockscreen/background, it would definitely be a picture of you. He would also be the type to make you a playlist of your favorite songs all from memory because he knows you that well
Crosshair
He would engrave your name on his rifle
Crosshair is a man of conviction and loyalty, and when he was certain that he could trust you with his heart, he wanted to display his loyalty in turn
Modifying his rifle in any way at all is significant, so ingraining your name on the scope is a very personal gesture to him
He caught you completely by surprise on a mission, casually showing it to you while you had watch together
You were stunned to see your name glistening in the firelight, every letter expertly etched into the smooth metal, "Cross, I can't believe you would do that for me..."
"Your love makes my aim true," he replied, wholly sincere
This one remark sealed your fate, giving you both the courage to lean in and share your first kiss
"Then you will never miss," you whispered afterward
You spent the rest of your watch sitting close together in soothing silence under the stars
He would also carve your initials into the wall of his bunk
Wherever he would go, you would be there also. His devotion is unyielding, and you have a partner until the galaxy itself burns up
Bonus: a huge sign of his affection would be letting you wear his clothes. He may act disgruntled, but it's all in jest because would be the boyfriend that's extremely proud to see you walking around in his hoodie
Echo
He would have your handprint on his armor
It seemed like a lifetime since he'd had the handprint from Captain Rex on his chestplate that had meant so much to him through those long years of war
When Echo is sure of something, nothing can move him from it. Not much time was required for him to know that he wanted to share his life with you, and that he wanted your handprint on his armor
He confided in you quite a bit about his past in the GAR, and you knew about the original print, but you never dreamed that he would ask you to replicate it
"Are you sure?" you asked in disbelief
"I am, Y/N. There's no one else whose mark I'd rather carry with me, and no one I want by my side more. On and off the battlefield," he confessed, taking your hand in his
Tears welling in your eyes, you dipped your other hand into the red paint on the table, placed it carefully onto his chest, and pressed your lips to his
More than a symbol of love, you both knew this was a vow to keep fighting for a free galaxy where you could build a future together
He would also have a photo of you in his personal things
He's not afraid of letting his relationship with you be known around his brothers, but his horrifying experiences imprisoned by the Separatists have made him extra cautious in all things. He keeps his photo of you safely tucked away and never brings it on missions, not wanting to risk it falling into the hands of anyone who would ever want to harm you
Instead, whenever you're apart, he holds his hand to his chest before he drifts to sleep and dreams of you. The nightmares are all but gone
Bonus: you two would totally have matching caf mugs with snarky sayings. "Grumpy parents in the morning" vibes all the way

Hunter
He may be surprised at first. He just turned around to get drinks for you and him. But when he comes back, you are dancing with a stranger. Crosshair comes over to him and nudges Hunter softly in the side. "Hey," he calls over the blare of the music, "'Are you going to put up with this?" Hunter shrugs and says, "It's just a dance." " You've got to be kidding," Crosshair growls, "That's how it always starts, it's just a dance, just a smile, just a quick touch, and suddenly you're being cuckolded" Hunter frowns unwillingly and pushes the drinks into Crosshair's hands. Actually, he doesn't want to be goaded, but he doesn't really like the whole thing after all. "Hold this." Crosshair chuckles, "Good boy." Hunter walks onto the dance floor, taps the stranger on the shoulder and says, "Hey, I think I'll relieve you now" The stranger shakes his head dismissively and says arrogantly, "Absolutely not, get lost" You've already seen what's happening, yet you move on to the music, and look at the two of them scrutinizingly. You know Hunter doesn't need your help, and frankly you're curious how the situation will unfold. Hunter taps the stranger's shoulder again, and this time says, "You're dancing with my girl there." "Says who?"
"Says me," Hunter growls, shoving the man aside. "And if you don't want to settle this outside the bar, then you're going to get the hell out of here" For a moment the stranger seems to consider whether the matter is worth the trouble and weigh his chances in a fight against Hunter, but then he turns from you, gritting his teeth, and moves away. Hunter leans toward you and says, "You're having a good time without me?" "I'm just dancing," you say unapologetically with a small smile, dancing a circle around him. Hunter sighs softly, but then says, "Didn't you have anything to say about it?" "You had it all under control, besides I like it when you claim me like this" you return with amusement, putting your arms around his shoulders and snuggling up to him. "Are you mad at me?" Hunter's hands automatically move to your hips. "No, I'm not," he says, finally smiling as the DJ puts on a ballad, and you start moving to the music together.
Echo
He danced with you two to three times, slow, intimate dances. With faster songs, he tends to hold back and rather watch you. He sits at a table from where he can see well onto the dance floor and watch you. Again and again you smile at each other. Echo likes to watch you dance, he likes the way you move. When he watches you like this, he always has the feeling that you are dancing for him alone, although he is of course aware that he is not the only one watching you. But the smile with which you look at him again and again from a distance from the dance floor, that smile belongs to him alone. He sips his drink, keeps an eye on your drink, which is standing by him, so that no one gets the stupid idea to mix something into your drink, and continues to watch you. Wrecker sits down with him and the two of them talk for a while, he's a little distracted, but he still keeps throwing smiling glances at you and you at him. But then mid-sentence, Wrecker interrupts him during the conversation, "Echo look." Echo looks out onto the dance floor, to where Wrecker is pointing, and sees a stranger with you. "Do you know him?" asks Wrecker. Echo frowns critically and shakes his head, "No, I don't think so"
The stranger has joined you, suddenly whirling you around the dance floor, and judging by your surprised expression, it wasn't planned that way. He growls, "I'll be right back," and gets up from the table to head straight for the dance floor. Echo doesn't waste much time, pulling you away from the stranger in mid-turn and shoving him aside. "You don't just dance at someone without being asked," he says harshly. The stranger seems startled at first, then angry, but at the same moment that he's thinking about messing with Echo, he very suddenly decides otherwise and pulls away. When you and Echo turn around, you see why. Wrecker has joined you. As you both blink at him, he asks, shrugging his shoulders, "What? I thought I'd join in, could have been interesting." You laugh and say, "I think I'd rather sit down for a while now, my feet are starting to hurt."
Echo leads you back to the table, onto the bench, pulls you into his arm, extra close, and probes the room. "Are you keeping an eye out for the guy from just now?" you ask, amused. " Well not just that guy," Echo admits, "I've just noticed some looks following you around, I want these people to see that you're here with me." You snuggle up to him, eliciting a smile. "Don't worry, I'll always be only your girl, Echo".
Wrecker
He's relaxed about it, as long as it doesn't get too familiar or make you visibly uncomfortable, Wrecker doesn't interfere, but he keeps an eye on you to make sure no one is forcing themselves on you or anything. "How can you be so relaxed about this?" asks Crosshair, "It would drive me crazy." Wrecker shrugs and says, "I trust her, there's no need to be worried" Crosshair snorts and says, "Is that why you watch her all the time? Because you trust her so much?" Wrecker rolls his eyes and says, "Why are you so tense all the time anyway? I watch her because I don't necessarily trust the people around her, don't know any of them." Crosshair shrugs and disappears towards the bartender to get another drink. When Wrecker looks in your direction again, he suddenly pauses, someone has danced up to you, behind you, you haven't spotted him yet, but he's moving up pretty damn close and Wrecker feels an uncomfortable tingling under his skin. Slowly, he makes his way to the dance floor, keeping an eye on the guy. When he dances so close to you that he finally touches you, you turn around, startled, and Wrecker quickens his steps.
Before you can react, you just see a huge, strong arm coming from the side, shoving the stranger off his feet. At first, the guy wants to get up angrily, but when he sees Wrecker in full dimension, he stays right there and raises his arms placatingly. "Easy there, man, I didn't know she had a partner". Wrecker growls, "Stay away from her" and finally pulls you by the hand from the dance floor to the seating areas. He lifts you off your feet with ease and sits you on his lap, his gaze somberly fixed on the dance floor. You put your arms around his shoulders, gently kissing his cheek and whispering close to his ear, "My hero." His expression softens, his ears a little flushed. "Anytime, my beautiful"
Tech
You can't get him on the dance floor, he feels much too exposed there. But he doesn't mind watching you dance. He has his holopad with him, the drinks are at his table, and he throws a glance at the dance floor every now and then to see if everything is alright with you and to admire you for a while. He smiles shyly back when you smile at him. Tech likes to see how you move, you look so relaxed when you dance. Tech is about to turn back to his holopad, but pauses when he notices a stranger watching you and slowly dancing his way near you. Tech automatically tenses, his fingers stiffly clutching the holopad in his hand. Finally, the strange guy has reached you and dances at you. You put some distance between you, trying to remain polite, but the guy keeps coming close. He doesn't seem to understand your signals at all. Tech sighs in annoyance, puts the holopad back on his belt with a deft move, and gets up from where he's sitting to approach the situation on the dance floor. Hunter and Crosshair, who are sitting at the table, watch the whole thing carefully.
Crosshair mutters to Tech, "Let me know if you need some helping fists." Tech frowns and says, "I'll handle that." Crosshair still wants to follow him, but Hunter puts a hand on his shoulder and holds him back, saying, "Wait and see, maybe things will clear up, if not we'll both go" Reluctantly, Crosshair sits back down. When Tech reaches you on the dance floor, you just politely but firmly tell the stranger, "You're honestly too close to me, it makes me uncomfortable" "Oh come on," the guy coos, "Don't be like that." Tech is seething inside by now, he intervenes as the guy gets too close to you again and pushes him away from you. "The lady said you were too close to her," he says matter-of-factly, but not without a certain combative undertone you're not used to from Tech. "What's it to you?" Tech says, "That's my girlfriend you're hitting on."
The stranger laughs and says challengingly, "And what are you going to do about it?" Tech's gaze briefly wanders to you, seeing your concerned look. "Well, usually I like to choose the most practical solution. But in this case, I'm happy to make an exception. Whatever it takes," he finally tells the stranger calmly, "Shall you and I have a little dance, perhaps? Outside the bar?" The stranger blinks, surprised by Tech's aggressiveness and simultaneous calm, something he clearly didn't expect at first glance. He doesn't quite know where to place him. You can already see, out of the corner of your eye, Hunter and Crosshair slowly getting up from the table, their eyes fixed on the situation, ready to step in. The strange guy seems to think for a moment, but finally waves it off with a snort and backs away. Tech blinks, finally turns to you and says, "That was surprisingly easy." You kiss his cheek and say, "Thank you, darling." Tech smiles, proud to be your hero tonight. "Anytime."
Crosshair
He danced with you for a while, after you persuaded him to do so after what felt like an eternity. But after a while Crosshair has gone back to the bar, ordered a drink and watches you from there, sitting on a bar stool. A reg sits down next to him and says, "Man, did you see that one over there?" pointing at you. Crosshair barely blinks an eye and grumbles, "Mmm, I noticed." "Hot stuff" "Mhm," the Sniper growls again in agreement. Confidently, the Reg says, "I'll get that one for tonight". Crosshair sips his glass before leisurely saying, "No, you don't" The reg laughs, "What? Are you calling dibs?" Crosshair shakes his head and says, "Don't have to, that's already mine" The reg blinks, then laughs and says, "Sorry buddy, I didn't know that, didn't mean to be disrespectful"
Crosshair smirks, even though it annoys him that people want to hit on you, he's kinda proud at the same time. He calmly says, "It's okay, you wouldn't be the first one to try that". The Reg frowns and says, "Apparently I'm not the last either. Look." Crosshair sets his glass down and looks back out onto the dance floor, where another Reg is about to dance all over you. The Sniper sighs, swings off his chair, and grumbles, "Excuse me a second," before making his way through the dancing crowd to you and the Reg. Crosshair nudges the Reg, "Hey, you better keep some distance from that girl". The Reg looks up, surprised as well as annoyed. "Oh yeah, why?" You say before Crosshair can say anything, happily continuing to dance, "Because I belong to him, and he doesn't like it at all when others get too close to me" The Reg glances back and forth between you and Crosshair, then rolls his eyes, but pulls away without comment. You grin at Crosshair as he grabs your hips and pulls you closer to dance with you. Your hands move to his shoulders. "Nice to know you're still looking out for me". Crosshair grumbles, "I'll never stop, ever."

Geto Suguru x reader // of all the days//
Tumblr media
life is unfair, but Geto is thankfully a saint
˖⁺‧₊˚ ♡ ˚₊‧⁺˖˖⁺‧₊˚ ♡ ˚₊‧⁺˖˖⁺‧₊˚ ♡ ˚₊‧⁺˖˖⁺‧₊˚ ♡ ˚₊‧⁺˖˖⁺‧₊˚ ♡ ˚₊‧⁺˖˖⁺‧₊˚ ♡ ˚₊‧⁺˖˖⁺‧₊˚ ♡ ˚₊‧⁺˖
thinking about how you're the 4th student of the second year in Jujutsu High - the batch with the strongest sorcerers of your generation
you have a huge crush on Geto Suguru but always have his best friend Gojo Satoru cock blocking you, or should I say pussy blocking you?
you can't help it, Geto is quiet, gentle and kind. his dark eyes shine into yours, making butterflies in your stomach go berserk
so, not a day goes by where you don't try to convince the annoying white-haired man to leave out a mission so you can partner up with Geto for once. it's always the two of them, while you have to get left behind with Shoko Ieiri, who isn't assigned to many missions as she's only one of the few sorcerers who can heal
"as if you're strong enough to take on one of our missions," Gojo would scoff at you every time you beg him. "Geto's mine. Or I could fuck you over and have him partner with Shoko instead."
You're red in the face in your anger, "Principal Yaga or the higher-ups would never take her out on missions too much, you know. Just this once!"
Gojo hums in thought, hand caressing his chin. then finally looks at you with a smirk, "No"
"fuck you with all my being" you glared at him before stomping away
"that's not a threat, considering how short you are!" he shouts at your retreating figure
on your way home from a mission with Shoko one day, you find the perfect bribe for Gojo to sit one mission out - it's a limited edition daifuku, his favorite dessert
"Principal Yaga, believe it or not, I'm not feeling all that great today. I think I got the bad btch disease - that said, I'll let Y/N take the next mission with Suguru, -bye!"
"he's all yours," The tall man says before biting into the tasty treat
Finally, you meet up with Your Crush Geto Suguru, who smiles at you before opening the car door open so you can go in first
Your Crush Geto Suguru who was kind enough to ask you if you're nervous about the mission, in which you joke to him that you'd be more nervous if you were on a mission with Gojo with how reckless he can be sometimes and likes to go solo - Geto chuckles at you, eyes disappearing in the process
Your Crush Geto Suguru who politley ushers you forward once the two of you reached into the buidling of said mission, a light push from his hand on the small of your back. Once the curtains are pulled down by the assistant that drove the two of you there, he speaks in a soft voice about the situation. You nod at his words, trying to not get distracted by the gloss of spit on his bottom lip
Your Crush Geto Suguru who lets you sit down first while he clears the first floor of the building. You feel an uneasy pain in you, but you don't mind it. Instead, you help yourself to watch how Geto's broad shoulders move as he exorcise the low grade curses, his brows pinch together in concentration.
Your Crush Geto Suguru who asks you in concern when you told him you can't exactly stand up, he looks down at you with those pretty dark eyes, it makes you weak in the knees. But that's not the reason why you told him you can't stand up from your seat. Of all the days, it just had to be the day that you're finally in the mission with your crush, only to have your period come in early.
Your Crush Geto Suguru whose eyes widen when you tell him of your little unfortunate incident. You probably think he'd be grossed out by you or turned off. Or probably annoyed because you're insinuating to let him handle the mission all by himself.
Your Crush Geto Suguru who only voices his concerns for your being - are you hurting? can you move? Is there anything that I can do to help? You heart can't help but flutter of how considerate he's being with you. You tell him that you can still go on the mission with him but your skirt is probably soaked from your backside area. Maybe if you're lucky, you can find some pads in the abandoned building - gross, but what are you to do?
Your Crush Geto Suguru who removes his jacket uniform and wraps it around your waist "It's just the two of us, but if this will help you feel less uncomfortable around me, please take it."
Your Crush Geto Suguru who only puts his hand on the small of your back again as he ushers you forward to the next floor, shutting down your protests about using his jacket as your cover, how you're afraid about the stains.
Your Crush Geto Suguru who does most of the work, exorcising curses along the way so you don't have to push yourself.
Your Crush Geto Suguru who bridal carries you out of the building after the mission because your cramps got worse. You'll never forget the feeling of his strong arms around you.
Your Crush Geto Suguru who asks the driver to stop at a convenience store on the ride back to the school, so he can buy you some much needed pads and sweets.
Your Crush Geto Suguru who gives you that sweet smile of his when you return his uniform jacket the next day, all washed and clean.
Your Crush Geto Suguru who asks you if you two can eat lunch together that same day.

"Blanket?"
"Check."
"Sunscreen?"
"Cheeks. And on my head. And your face."
"The food?"
"Everything in here."
"Good. Ready to go?"
"Ready when you are," Wrecker grins and holds his hand out for you to take.
Smiling, you reach forward and place your hand in his, walk up to him and stand on your tip toes, to give him a small kiss on his, still slightly creamy cheek.
You feel how his grin widens under your lips and how his hand tightens around yours for a few seconds.
"Okay, let's go," you say, and together you walk out of the door.
The weather is sunny and warm, but the slight breeze allows you to cool off a bit, protecting you from overheating.
It was a perfect day for your date.
It was planned for quite some time already. While you both were dreaming of some piece and quiet time to relax, with some snacks to share and cuddling atop a blanket, waiting for the incoming nightfall, you never actually had the time or capacities to do a picnic in the woods.
But since you've finally settled down on Pabu and everything calmed down a bit, you are finally able to do just what you've dreamed of for so long.
Even though there isn't a big forest on the island, you both are fine with going down to the beach or looking for another spectacular but comfortable place to lay out your blanket.
The walk is like a hike with an open ending, and only to be finished when you find your perfect place, so Wrecker and you are walking hand in hand through the streets and into some looser, wilder terrain.
Even though Pabu has a high population, and you'll always find a small cottage with one or two residents, the island still provides incredible nature.
A small lake follows your path, left and right are some spectacular bushes and plants with the prettiest colors. Above and beneath you are some cliffs that contribute to the mountainous terrain and provide a place to live for many animals.
"Has Tech told you about those birds?" you ask Wrecker as you see one of the white-grayish animals gliding above your heads and entering a small opening on the cliff's side.
Wrecker looks down at you, some sweat sticking to his forehead, before he turns his head at where you're pointing at.
"Uh, bet he did, but I can't remember," he smiles sheepishly and scratches his neck, looking at you with his brown eyes.
"Do you want me to freshen up your memories?" you ask him, knowing that he hates being so forgetful.
"Of course," he nods and looks at you, ready for your incoming ramble.
Grinning, you start to tell him about the animal and some specialties about its beak that is strong enough to dig holes into stone walls. Wrecker listens carefully and asks some questions here and there, encouraging you to share the knowledge you had from his brother, mixed with some of your own research.
You even take a break for a few minutes and watch one of the birds that decided to start digging an entry with purposeful hits.
"Can't promise I'll keep all of that in my head, but you're always welcome to freshen up my memories," he exclaims, looking down at you happily.
"Oh, I will, no worries," you answer and smile back up at him, before starting to follow your path again.
The two of you walk for some more time, and you tell him different things about the various animals you can see or hear, encouraged by his excited looks, before you think you've finally found your place.
It was the edge of a cliff again, but there were different kinds of flowers and plants, making the floor a colored but beautiful mess. You can perfectly see the ocean from here, and you'll know the sunset is going to be amazing. The place is also secluded, a little bit higher up, so no one will come and disturb you, you're sure of that.
Wrecker puts down his bag and fishes out the blanket, shaking it a little bit before putting it onto the floor, careful to place it somewhere without many flowers, as not to destroy them.
Excited, you jump onto the fabric and pull him down with you, getting at your bags to pull out the different foods you took with you.
"I'm so hungry," he rumbles, and a second later you hear his tummy do the same.
Laughing, you place a plate in his hand and start to unwrap your stuff even faster, silently agreeing with him.
You sit close to him, comfortably kneeling next to him and almost touching his legs, which he holds in a cross-legged stance.
"The hike was tiring," you say, and Wrecker nods, holding a slice of jogan fruit up to your face.
Excited, you take a bite and reach for one of them yourself to do the same with him.
"Sweet like you," Wrecker grins, his smile so genuine and pure that you believe him without a second thought.
"But not as sweet as you," you answer, playfully.
Together, you sit and eat for a while, talking, smiling, laughing. Enjoying the view, the food and the company. The sun is shining down on the two of you, warming you up, and almost reflects the happiness you feel at the moment.
When it starts to wander closer and closer to the edge where the ocean kisses the sky, the evening lightning turns darker, golden, red.
The clouds and the sky play a game of red, blue and orange, leaving you two in awe. It isn't the first sunset you've witnessed here on Pabu, but it is by far one of the most mesmerizing ones. Especially since Wrecker is sitting next to you, adding to the beauty of the moment.
You share some sweet kisses and touches, holding each other tightly. You never wanted to go back home again, if you would be able to stay here with him.
Even as the sun swaps with the moon, the sky turns dark, and the stars start to shine bright, you keep on holding each other.
You look at him from the side, observing how his features are illuminated by the silver light. His scar, the crook of his nose, his lips that are pulled up into a small, relaxed smirk, like so often when he's with you.
You could stare at him for hours, not ever getting enough of him.
His big hands affectionately glide over your back, and he draws small patterns with the tip of his fingers. Your thumb, lying on his stomach, does the same.
Suddenly overwhelmed with a few feelings, you snuggle up a little bit more, pressing yourself closer to him.
Shortly, he turns his head over, to look at you, before tugging you right into to his side.
Your chest feels weird, but not in a bad way. It is warm, almost hot, and you feel like there are thousands of little bugs walking in your chest. It tingles, and you wonder again, how so often, if those are the butterflies everyone is talking about. But instead of having them in your belly, they are in your chest.
While you keep looking at him, you enjoy the easy silence that settled between you.  You're only able to hear the sounds of the sea, some birds in the distance, and his even, deep breaths.
The atmosphere is relaxed, balanced. Just right. Like always, when you're with him.
And at this moment, where you lay next to each other, and you're getting lost in his presence, you decide that now is the time.
None of you said it before, being quite too shy or not ready yet.
But at this moment, you know you're ready. You want him to know how you feel. Even if he's not able to say it yet.
You want him to know.
You take all of your courage together, take a deep breath and say his name.
"Wrecker," you whisper into his ear, feeling how your heartbeat quickens and how your fingers start to tingle.
"Yeah?" he asks and turns his head slightly so he can look at you.
The moon illustrates his facial features, make them shine and glow in the right ankles, and underlines his beauty once more. His brown eyes shine with so much kindness and love. They're almost sparkling, and for a second, you lose yourself in them.
Your chest tightens a bit, but still not in a bad way. It feels like your heart skips a beat, and you suddenly feel warm all over your face. You're nervous, but at the same time, you realize again, just how happy you are and how much you want these three words to come out of your mouth.
You take a deep breath, try to calm your nerves a little bit and finally say those words for the first time.
"I love you," you smile and give him a light kiss on the cheek, just beneath his eye.
You know he won't react badly to your words, but you still can't look into his eyes for a second. So you decide for another kiss.
You feel how a grin spreads on his lips. Not able to control them, you feel how yours turn upwards, too.
Your hands are almost shaking because of all the tingling, but you feel how some of the tension you didn't know you were holding leaves your body.
You feel good.
"Hey, Cyare," he whispers, as soon as you separate and are able to look into his eyes again. His arms tighten around your body, and you're pressed closer to him once more. Not that you're complaining.
"What?" you ask back, paralleling his words from just a few seconds ago.
"I love you," he now fully grins, repeating your words, and presses his rough but gentle lips against your temple.
He pulls you close on top of his chest and turns onto his back at the same time, so you're laying on top of him now, able to see his face.
Grinning, he comes closer and repeats his kisses again and again, spreading them all over your face.
Giggling, you gently lay your hand on his jaw, feeling the light stubble beneath your fingertips and moving your thumb over it in a rhythmic movement.
You feel light, happy. Your smile is almost as big as your face.
"I love you," you whisper again, barely able to hear it yourself.
"I love you," Wrecker mimics.
Your lips touch.
You feel warm and comfortable. Loved.

As the days turned into weeks, your heart grew heavier as you watched Echo toss and turn in his restless sleep, tormented by yet another dream. Despite being cautioned by others to let him sleep through it, your deep concern for him made it impossible to stand idly by and think of what nightmares were plaguing his mind.
With courage, you approached his bunk and gently placed a comforting hand on his shoulder, giving him a tender, reassuring nudge. "Echo, darling, wake up," you whispered in a soothing tone. His eyes shot open, his breathing heavy and ragged, momentarily disoriented before realising he was safe in your presence.
He gazed up at you, slowly coming to the realisation that the nightmares had not transcended into reality. Instead, he was met with the comforting sight of your eyes, something he always found as a source of solace and understanding. "You okay?"
A soft chuckle escaped your lips, and you nodded gently. "I could ask you the same question," you replied, stepping back slightly to allow him space to sit up from his bunk. "You've been having a lot of bad dreams lately."
Echo sighed, the gesture mirroring the weight of his troubles, as he rubbed the back of his neck in contemplation. "It's been happening quite often," he admitted, vulnerability evident in his confession.
"Would you like to talk about it?" you offered, letting him know you were there to listen.
He considered your kind offer for a moment, appreciating the genuine concern in your eyes, but ultimately shook his head. "Nah, it's okay. Thanks for waking me, though," he expressed his gratitude, a hint of a smile forming on his lips, a gesture that never failed to make your heart flutter.
Your feelings for Echo have evolved over time. What started as a casual friendship had formed into something more to you.
The way he looked at you, the care in his voice, and the unspoken moments of tenderness left you wondering if there might be something more between you. Though you didn’t want to overthink it, you couldn’t help but notice that he didn’t look at anyone else the way he did with you.
"Would you like to come on a walk with me? It's quite a nice morning," you suggest, hoping the invitation will provide Echo with some much-needed fresh air and a brief respite from his troubles. Besides, there are no pressing duties for you and the Batch today. After all, you wanted a break from seeing Cid’s face regardless. So, it makes it the perfect opportunity for a leisurely stroll.
A soft smile graces Echo's pale lips as he stands up, grateful for the offer. "I'd like that. Let me freshen up first," he responds sheepishly, wiping away the sweat caused by his recent nightmare.
"No problem, I'll meet you outside."
As you turn to leave, an inexplicable urge prompts you to place your hand gently on his forearm. The air between you becomes still, the silence deepening as you both acknowledge the touch. Your eyes meet, and a moment of unspoken understanding passes between you. Flustered, you clear your throat and release your hold, hurrying away to spare yourself any potential embarrassment.
Once you are outside, the morning breeze envelops you, providing a soothing backdrop for your walk with Echo when he finally joins you. Side by side, you both seem to appreciate the peaceful quietude that surrounds you.
"You're right," Echo says after a few minutes, breaking the tranquility, "it really is nice today."
You steal a glance at him, observing as he closes his eyes and takes in a deep breath of the invigorating air. You can't help but just know that his recent nightmare has something to do from his past, something that still holds power over him.
"Company isn't so bad either," you respond a bit timidly, but the subtle smile that flickers on his lips reassures you.
"You're right about that, too," he remarks, tilting his head down playfully and offering a wink that sends a shiver down your spine. Your knees momentarily tremble under the weight of the innocent gesture, but you manage to maintain an outward appearance of composure, even though your insides were on fire.
As you both continue to walk together, the conversation takes a deeper turn, and Echo gently inquires about your own experiences with bad dreams. You slow down your pace to match his, appreciating his genuine curiosity and concern. “What do you dream of?”
"I suppose just random things," you begin cautiously, trying to find the right words to describe your occasional nightmares. "But when they are bad… I dream about the things that scare me the most. The unknown, losing the ones I care about, and sometimes, I dream of not being good enough."
Echo's expression softens, showing understanding and empathy, making you feel safe and heard.
"What about you?" you ask in turn, adopting the same gentle and compassionate tone.
Echo takes a moment, briefly glancing at the ground before meeting your gaze. "It's mostly memories from the past," he confesses, the weight of his emotions evident in his voice. "Things I wish I could change but can't."
You nod in understanding, recognising the pain he carries from his past. "I'm here for you, Echo," you assure him.
He seems to appreciate your comfort as he listens intently when you share a technique that helps you before going to sleep. "Do you want to know what I find helps before going to sleep?" you suggest, and Echo smiles, encouraging you to continue.
"I think of things I want to happen. Or, I think of things from my past that I love and just want to relive for a few hours," you explain with a fond smile.
He's a little skeptical but intrigued, asking, "Does it actually work?"
You shrug slightly, admitting, "Sometimes. Like last night, for example, I went to sleep thinking of the time you and I were hiding from Cid behind the bar to get out of work. It was only a small memory, but one I enjoyed."
As Echo chuckles, that cherished memory of hiding from Cid remains vivid in his mind. “What else do you dream of or attempt to dream about?”
You chuckle, half-jokingly, half-serious, "Well, cliché stuff like being rich and having a nice ship to fly around." You smile up at him. Then, you playfully prompt him to reveal what he might dream of if he were to use your tactic.
He contemplates for a moment before shrugging, seemingly uncertain. "Ah, I don't know."
"Come on," you urge with a gentle push to his arm, "there's gotta be something."
His next words catch you off guard, taking a moment to register. "What if I dreamed about kissing you?"
Your heart skips a beat as his words sink in. A wild rush of emotions floods through you, and the blush on your cheeks intensifies. How long had he wanted to do this? Was it just him teasing you? But as Echo takes a step closer to you, and you don’t step away at all and think the latter.
"Why just dream it?" you whisper, the words leaving your mouth without thinking. Your voice barely audible but carrying an unmistakable invitation.
Without hesitation, Echo places his warm hand on your cheek, his breath brushing gently against your face as he leans in to gauge your reaction. You don't pull away; instead, you lean into the touch, signaling your consent. His lips meet yours in a soft and tender kiss, leaving you pleasantly surprised by the depth of feeling behind it.
The kiss is short but sweet, lips moving gently in sync, and you can't deny the sparks that ignite within you. Echo proves to be an excellent kisser, just like you had imagined for a long while.
As you eventually pull away, you gaze into each other's eyes and he chuckles softly, smiling. “I think that’ll definitely give me some good dreams from now on.”

Tumblr media
The Bad Batch was sound asleep, exempt from their designated pilot.  Tech was comfortably cruising through hyper-space, multitasking on a new upgrade for Echo’s arm-scomp and watching the scanners.  A light beep alerted him, signaling that they were approaching Ord Mantell.  He lightly pushed his goggles upwards, before pressing a series of buttons.  The Marauder shook as it dropped from hyperspace, the tremors waking Hunter up from his nap in the co-pilot's seat.  He would usually sleep in his bunk until Tech needed a break, but his bunk was… preoccupied, so to speak.
“We close to Ord Mantell, Tech?” Hunter asked groggily, cracking his neck.  “Approximately 11 minutes and 36 seconds until we enter the atmosphere, and then another 23 minutes until we reach the landing pad.  I would begin waking everyone else up.”  With a sign, Hunter stood up, arms reaching far above his head, ever-so-slightly leaning backwards.  He turned around and started heading towards the bunks, wondering how he should go about waking you up.  He didn’t know how much you would remember, and he certainly didn’t want to find out the hard way.
Of course, there was always the option of letting your body wake up on its own time, and just having someone stick with the ship until then, but there was the risk of general clatter and ruckus occurring and startling you awake anyway, which would be a harsh wake-up call, to say the least.  After a second more of contemplation, he finally settled on leaving you be, and simply shushing Wrecker the moment his eyes opened.  He walked up to his brother, shaking his arm.  Wrecker awoke with a large grunt, like an ancient monster waking from a coma in an echoing mountain, before Hunter aggressively shushed him.  He sharply pointed across the walking strip to your body, an absolute tangled mess of limbs and droll.
Wrecker got the hint, making an ‘oohhh’ sound before slowly sitting up, careful to minimize the amount of creaking.  Hunter walked on, heading towards Echo and Omega, shaking them both awake- Omega more gently.  She yawned and stretched, smiling and greeting Hunter, before quickly grabbing her day-clothes before heading off to the fresher to change.  Hunter went back to the cockpit, where his brothers were already making quiet discussions of what to do with you, the ‘teenager-that-had-essentially-magic-powers-and-was-being-hunted.’  Primarily how they would handle Cid.  She tolerated them because they did jobs for her, and they didn’t really matter to the Empire- except for Omega, it was appearing.  But a Padawan?  That would be a lot of credits, and it would put someone on the Empire’s good side- at least for a little bit.  Cid wasn’t above ratting them out for that kind of profit.  Or, at least, she wasn’t above ratting out the Padawan while keeping them away from the Empire’s eyes for the sake of missions.  “Perhaps we can convince Cid that his use in missions, among other things, would outweigh the reward from the Empire.  Even without using the Force in a physical push-and-pull manner, it can still be used for mind tricks, sensing danger, and much more, depending on his skill set.  We could increase our efficiency and time duration of missions greatly, which would hold a great profit for Cid,” Tech explained, preparing for the Marauder to enter Ord Mantell’s atmosphere.
“That's true, but there’s no way to know what Cid will say- if she agrees, great, but if she doesn’t…” Hunter responded, eyes glancing back at your sleeping form as he trailed off.  If they told her about you, and she decided to tell the Empire, then no one would be safe.
“There’s no way for Cid to be kept in the dark long enough to find a better solution, and we can’t exactly just hide a whole person in the Marauder,” Echo added on, waving his scomp-link around the cockpit for emphasis.
“Of course, this is all assuming that (Y/N) will want to remain with us.  He may know someone, or someplace, that is safe.  Additionally, he may even know Cid.  Echo said that she would occasionally report to the Jedi,” Tech countered, briefly glancing back towards his brothers, away from the planet and control panel.  Echo nodded in confirmation.  “Do we…” Hunter trailed off, sighing, and pinched the bridge of his nose, “do we have any place to go if Cid decides to tell the Empire?  Echo, do you know anyone else who would help?”
“Rex, obviously- but he’s more involved with defeating the Empire than we are, so it’d be an extra risk to the kid.  Maybe Cut and Suu, if we can get a hold of them.  But I don’t think either of us want to put that kind of risk on them- not with Jek and Shaeeah.”  Wrecker made a comment of agreement, briefly looking up from his game of Chopsticks with Omega.  A heavy silence fell over the group, uncertainty thick in the air.
“Entering the atmosphere,” Tech reported, breaking the awkward silence.  The Marauder shook as gravity’s presence took its toll.  It settled back down to a smooth ride within a minute, the greens and browns- mainly browns- of Ord Mantell’s natural landscape coming closer.  “I think Cid will understand, plus, like Tech said, (Y/N) can help us out!” Omega added, not looking up from her hands.
Hunter looked down, contemplating.  Would the reward of Cid accepting the kid outweigh the risk of her turning him in to the Empire?  Tech did have a point, your presence would make things go smoother- but if Cid didn’t care about that point?  What then?  Would they be able to escape the Empire, find a new place to settle down- there was bound to be some planet that was safe- but would they find it before the Empire found them?
They could keep you holed up in the ship for a while, but sooner or later, Cid would find out.  And once she found out, that could damage their… relationship, so to speak.  Assuming she wouldn’t tell the Empire immediately, anyway.  So that wouldn’t work either.  There was no good solution, and everyone knew it.  Finally, Hunter spoke up- “Wrecker, Omega, you two stay with (Y/N) and help him with anything- food, water, applying new bandages.  You get the idea.  Echo, you're with me- we’ll get anything we’d need for a long-term stay on the ship; med kits, food, supplies, whatever.  Tech, make sure the ship has enough fuel, and make any necessary fixes.  Don’t let anyone else know.  After you're done, I’ll tell Cid about… the kid.  We’ll see where it goes from there.”
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
The Marauder drifted down, landing neatly in the center of the dock.  Tech quickly pulled out his data-pad, scanning for any previously unnoticed internal damage.  Luckily, the report came back negative- as he had guessed, there was no new damage.  Satisfied, he checked the Marauder’s current fuel level, so he’d know when to stop filling.  Tech, Echo, and Hunter exited the Marauder, swiftly closing and securely locking the ramp behind them.
The innards of the Marauder were quiet, Omega and Wrecker not really knowing what to do.  They both sat on the bunk opposite you, staring, just in case you’d wake up and need something.  Wrecker had rations and a water canteen to his left, while Omega had fresh bandages and bacta-spray to her right.  “Uhhh…” Wrecker broke the silence, glancing down at Omega, “do we just… wait for him to wake up?  It feels weird, just staring.”
“I don’t know… on Kamino, we would usually wait, but this is nothing like injured clones on Kamino.”  She sighed, wringing her hands together.  “I just…feel so bad.  I mean, our home was destroyed, but at least we have each other.  (Y/N) doesn’t have anyone, and he’s been alone on that ship since the Empire took over.  I can’t imagine what it must have been like…”
“Well, at least we found him before the Empire did, and any situation we’re in will probably be better than Bracca.  Plus, he’s probably dead to the Empire, so they won’t be after him!”  Wrecker responded, finding the silver lining.  He and Omega looked at eachother, smiling.  It felt good to help people.
On cue, the blankets opposite the pair began shuffling, a long groan sounding out through the metal walls of the Marauder.  You turned over, eyes droopy and your Padawan braid/beads hanging by the corner of your mouth, covered in drool.  Slowly, you put your weight onto a hand and pushed yourself up, leaning against the back wall of the bunk.  Your head lolled back, another sigh escaping.  Everything hurts.  “Good morning!  Er, afternoon!  You slept forever, little Jedi!” Wrecker enthusiastically shouted, causing you to immediately sit up straight, hand shooting down to your waist for the familiar feeling of your lightsaber, only to be met with nothing.  Kriff.
Wrecker immediately sensed your panic, and put his hands up in an attempt of looking unhostile.  “Don’t worry, you're safe!  We’ve had our heads cut into, so we won’t be doing any of that Order 66 stuff!”  All you could do was stare, a comically surprised expression etched across your face.  He had an interesting way of wording things.
Wrecker stood up and handed you the canteen and ration bad.  “Here, rations and water!  They’re not the best, and we can pick up some better food soon, but I bet you're starved!”  And you were.  True, the mantell mix Omega had gifted you was delicious, but after so long of never having a proper meal, you certainly wouldn’t refuse any more food or water.
“Thank you…”  You glanced down after taking the food, quietly chewing on the ration bar, occasionally taking sips from the canteen.  You were never good socially at the Temple, and you certainly weren't any better at the moment.  Omega asked you some more questions; if there was any pain, did you bleed through any bandages, and such.  You responded in short answers, so quiet she was struggling to pick up what was said.  Eventually, she deemed you healthy- or, at least, as healthy as you could be, given the circumstances.  She stayed with you, telling stories about Kamino and the few trips she’s had away from it.  Mainly, though, she talked about her brothers.
After Maker knows how long, the Marauder’s ramp opened, Tech, Echo, and Hunter coming in, one by one.  Tech was lugging fuel, and the other two held general equipment, food, med-kits, and more.  While Tech didn’t pay as much mind to your waking, Echo and Hunter sure did- Echo more so.
After setting down the cargo, he practically spritened to the bunk you were on, crouching down on one knee and using his scomp-link to lift up your jaw, and do other inspections.  “You need a shower- desperately.  And new clothes, these are completely ruined!  Our old room is nothing compared to this!  Even Fives smelled better!  And you need some proper nourishment- I know how I felt after being in that stasis chamber for so long.  And mantell mix is not nourishment, no matter what Wrecker and Omega tell you, got that?”  He finished his spiel, pointing his scomp-link at you.  “Iba’ oskik’la…”
* (“what a mess” in mando’a)
“Yeah, I think he’s got it, Echo,” Hunter chimed in, smiling.  “C’mon, kid.  I need you to meet someone.  She used to work with the Jedi, so I don’t think she’d do anything.  But, just in case, we have everything ready to go.  And if all goes well, ”  You swallowed, a large lump forming in your throat.  You really hoped she wouldn’t do anything bad- you were already enough of a burden.  You and Hunter walked down the ramp, Omega gleefully waving goodbye.
He could hear your heartbeat, your anxiety- but he didn’t know much on how to help, given the circumstances.  Kriff, you didn't know about the chips until they found you, and he couldn’t imagine what that must have felt like.  When Wrecker had been affected and tried to kill everyone, at least they all knew it wasn’t his fault, that he hadn’t betrayed them, and that he would never try to do that when he was in control.  But you had no clue about any of that.  You thought all the clones who were your friends, or even just ones you were polite with for the sake of being a good person, had all wanted to kill you, and all the other Jedi.  You had thought that for months.  Cursing yourself, wondering why, and if there was anything you could have done differently to prevent it.  And now, irony at its best, you had been rescued by clones, coming to remove their chips.
“We’re on Ord Mantell, by the way… don’t know if anyone told you.  Ever been?” he asked, raising an eyebrow.  You shook your head, eyes darting from sign to sign, stall to stall.  “Most planets I’ve been on, except for Coruscant, were just… military occupations, occasionally the natural landscape of Separatists planets.  Never got to travel outside of that,” you said, still taking in all the colorful decor and people of the city.  “I mean, you know what that’s like, obviously- being a clone and all, you went to the same type of planets I did.  I think, at least.”
Hunter nodded his head in confirmation, not really sure where to go from there.  What you said was pretty accurate, but he felt like he shouldn’t talk about the war much.  And in any case, they were approaching Cid’s.
You and Hunter trotted down the steps, the automatic door sliding open.  Cid’s bar was empty, spare for an Ithorian and Weequay who were bickering over who knows what, and obviously, Cid herself.  You placed yourself behind Hunter, something you would do with your Master during the war to avoid any interaction with… anyone.  Slicing droids was easy, making conversation with soldiers was not.
You slowly glanced around the parlor, taking in anything that could be a trap, or could help you escape if this ‘Cid’ decided she didn’t want a padawan on her doorstop.  Hunter called out for Cid, and the distant sound of claws tapping against the cold, hard floor echoed out.  Emerging from the back rooms was a rather short female trandoshan, a cane gripped in her three claws.
Her eyes went back and forth between your semi-hidden figure and Hunter.  “Where’s the rest of ya?  And who’s that kid in the terrible robes?  They stink.”  There was an obvious scowl on her face, her left brown rose in an annoyed and questioning manner.
Hunter took a deep breath, and then- “He’s… a Padawan.”  Cid’s brows rose, and then lowered into a vicious scowl.  “Before you say anything- hear me out.  He was trapped at Bracca, and the scavengers didn’t know- Tech checked the Empire’s wanted, and he’s dead to them.  The Empire won’t come here, and it’s not like anyone on the street will know- he’s just a padawan.  Not a full-on Jedi, not a general.  But, he can still help.  Even without using the Force to push and pull, he can still sense danger and… stuff.”  Hunter wasn’t really sure how the Force worked.  But he knew it was useful.  Before Cid could rebuttal, he continued.  “And imagine how helpful a padawan would be in making sure your deals go right!  Being able to sense a bad deal, or if someone unwelcome is coming.  And some of them can do mind tricks.  He’ll be very useful to you- just let him stay with us.”
Cid looking down, in thought, a scowl etched on her face.  Finally, she sighed.  “Fine!  But if the Empire comes knocking, I’m not keeping his hide a secret.  Too much heat.”  She walked away, already planning what to do with you.
Hunter looked back, smiling.  You tried your best to smile, but you knew full well it looked incredibly awkward and forced.  Not that you weren’t happy, by any means.  You just weren’t prepared, and he knew that.  Hunter placed a hand on your shoulder, attempting to provide comfort.  And it worked.  For the first time in months, despite the constant dread of what was to come, everything seemed to be going right.  You could stay with them, and they could stay with Cid.
“Let’s go get you some proper fitting, and smelling clothes, yeah?  Echo wasn’t wrong when he said it was worse than our old barracks.”  Your smile shifted to a natural one, not forced or awkward.  You certainly didn’t think you’d ever see a clone again; and it certainly wouldn’t be a happy experience, but it seemed like this batch was going to be the best thing to happen in a while.

Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairing: fem!uni student x lando norris
synopsis: after a year-long of hard work, the day was finally here where you present your portfolio project. you're family and friend circle has joined but will lando be able to reach there on time?
type: writing + picture portfolio
a/n: here's the much-awaited and most polled-in for the write-up! part 2 of love.jpg is here! ngl i feel this can be read alone as well as part but you readers can decide whichever way you wish to read i don't and won't mind <33 (linked down below). a bit of reference was used from the film 'five feet apart' as on the previous day, i binge-watched it (yes i do bing watch this movie for unhealthy times) and the monologue kinda gave an inspiration to write for this part. i must say the writing got way longer than i anticipated hence i had to skip the insta au part. although i think the end is quite an unexpected surprise in my opinion? lemme know what you folks think? now, i'll be working on our poll winner 2 and i'd be happy to take in any requests if you have :))
until next one, happy reading <;33
pre-part: love.jpg
. . . .
You were pacing around the backstage, feeling all anxious and panicky as the day you were looking for was finally here!
Your project portfolio presentation.
A year full of waiting now feels like a moment gone by and yet, you were very grateful of the journey that you had. Your family, friends, Lan, and professors have helped and guided you throughout the process, keeping you sane.
"Y/N, the show's about to start! get down to the staging area please" the lady annouced as you nodded to her.
You turned around the room to see whether Lando could make it as it was his last race of the triple race weekender and although you said it's totally fine if he couldn't make it yet Lando being Lando, he promised you he'd be there. quoting his own words, "i wouldn't miss it for the world and i will be there, bubba"
You get to the side staging area and tries to sneak at the couple front rows. You see that your and Lando's family was seated with a couple of your friends and the quadrant squad. you smiled at them, even waved back at baby Mila when she saw you and squealed. and yet, a deep sigh leaves your lips as you see the empty seat beside Max.
He still hasn't reached here. yet?
You fiddled with the ring on your hand and quickly took your phone when it beeped. it was a message from Max.
from Maxy: he's on his way y/n/n. don't worry about it! ps: if he doesn't, then we'll kick his ass fr. your word will be my command, your highness😤
Silent laughter resulted once you read his texts as you looked at him and shook your head.
You heard people's whispers, and as you turned around, the anchor of the event walks up behind you and enters the stage, meaning the show was about to begin.
"Welcome to one and all present here today! it's an honor and privilege to showcase the works done by our talented students of the graduating batch 2022-23" a round of applause echos the auditorium.
. . . .
Few presentations later, the anchor of the event walks up behind me, about to leave for the stage entrance, indicating its your turn.
You quickly opened your phone and texted Lando.
to Lan <3: hey bubba! im about to go on stage now. and before you say anything bad about yourself, its totally fine and don't blame yourself for it bubs. and maybe, I'll give you a private presentation? anywhoo, wish me luck xx
"You're up in a few mins y/l/n. you ready?" the lady approaches to you. You took a deep breath on and nodded.
"And here's our final student who has set her portfolio with an outstanding theme and work of art and graded first rank of her batch, Ms. y/n y/m/n y/l/n"
As the mic was handed over to you, your phone went off. It was a text from Lando.
from Lan <3: you don't need luck cause your lucky charm is here xx
You were slightly confused and before you could register what he meant, you're now walking onto the stage, and the audience applauds, your fam corner goes a bit wild, hyping you up.
You set your speech papers in front of you. And took another deep breath as the audience went silent.
"Greetings to esteem team and faculty members, my colleagues and everyone gathered here today. I am y/n l/n, a very proud graduate in photography and graphic design. And today is not just any ordinary day but it's much more special ordinary day that I've been waiting for a whole year" you say, with smile on your face as you look to the crowd.
And just like that, there he stood. At the entrance gate, very much like in movies.
Now, it made sense. Your lucky charm is finally here.
"Ladies and gentlemen, here i present my portfolio, 'Life in film'" you say proudly, as the projector starts showing your cover page on the big screen.
Tumblr media
As soon as the picture is shown on screen, a loud applause echoes, making your head turn in the direction of sound. Lando was the one who made the whole audience clap once again. A smile crippled on your way as you nudged your nose. Lando walked over to his seat quickly, keeping one of his hands over his heart as he nudged his nose back at you.
it was a sign that the two of you made, similar to eskimos' kiss (long distant version).
"Life on film. The name is very simple, minimal, and a daily basis terminology in our lives. So what's the purpose of this theme? You might think what makes such a simple concept of life an extraordinary one?" you say, as you look down at the paper you had in front of you, but then you looked at the ring on your finger. And then looked towards your squad. You show your hand at the big screen and the next slides play along, showing a couple of pictures you shot.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Well, we humans tend to overlook life. We've stopped taking time and appreciate what we have. The bright sunny sky we rarely see in the UK, a string of laughter from a little baby, flowers blossoming in spring, an old couple walking hand in hand. A moment of stillness amongst the chaos, a moment of laughter, contentment, and love," you say, looking at your loved ones.
The looks on everyone's faces were the best reward you could ever receive! Even Lando's expressions spoke volumes of how much he was amused and in awe by your works. You were getting a bit overwhelmed with joy by seeing this and felt like your heart would burst out of so much happiness. Then, you decided to speak from what your heart says as you folded your speech sheet.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Life could give some tough times, but it's during these times we remember what our purpose is. That even the sour lemons could be made into lemonade. You just have to find the sweetness, your lucky charms," you say, looking at Lando. You saw everyone around him cooing at him, making him blush.
"From being a small girl who'd roam around with her dad's camera, dreaming her life revolve around films and polaroid, and here's she is! chasing her dreams with her lucky charm, " you say, showing the ring on your finger. People in the audience said, 'aww', as were from your squad side.
"A second turn into a minute, into an hour, a day, a week, a month, a year, a decade, and so does it goes. Yet how crazy it is to be able to live life to its fullest, and not just for those successful moments, but for small, big, and everything in between moments! Cause life's too short to waste a second" you say, as the final picture is being shown.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
A picture of you and Lando on the day he proposed you, 4 months back.
"And that's life on film! thank you, everybody, for being here! and special shoutout to my parents and Lan's for all the guidance and love, siblings and quadrant squad for all the support" you say, looking at them and then, looking at the person who's your everything.
"And to the most important person with whom i don't think i could have achieved this without him. my project partner, the boyfriend at the start to now, my fiancé, Lando, " you say, getting a bit teary-eyed as you look at him.
"Thank you for choosing me as your partner cause i can't think of anyone else with whom i would have done this!" You say, voice getting a bit crackling. And as soon as you turned the mic off and took a bow, the lights of the room turned on, and the whole room stood up, applauding and cheers of hoots erupting the room.
Lando didn't think twice as he stood and ran up towards the stage and engulfed you in a tight hug as he picked and spun the two of you around.
"You made it very on time, Mr. Norris" you said, tugging by his coat as he put you to the ground, arms still around your waist.
"I promised you I'd be here. And you did an outstanding and amazing..." he starts rambling, making you laugh as a tear slipped out your eye. before you get it, Lando holds your face in his hands, wiping the tears off while he still continues his ramble of appreciation for you.
"... and gorgeous and adorable work of masterpiece!! I'm soo proud and lucky to be your partner, my future Mrs. Norris" he says, tugging you an inch closer to him.
"Your future Mrs. Norris?? I love how that sounds" you whisper to him, with a smug expression on your face.
"I bet our lives would be a sweet sweet lemonade of lucky charms" Lando says, making the two of laugh before you two pull in for a kiss. You two pull back with a smile and look at the crowd. Lando takes a step back as he raises both his hands and takes a bow at you, making you feel so special, and then photographers capture it as well.
get yourself a goofy gentleman who treats you like a queen and makes you laugh out loud, ladies!
. . . .
Then the two of you lead your way to you squad where both the families hugged you, congratulate, and said that they were so proud of you today. the sibling and quadrant squad did the same as well as asked for copies of your portfolio.
And as you were on your way to the exit, Lando pulled you behind carefully as you had baby Mila in your arms.
"I wanted to ask about that private presentation you texted me earlier" He whispers into your ear, and then proceeds to cover Mila's ears with his hands.
"Is the offer still open??" Lando says, sending shivers down your spine.
"Lando Norris! there's a baby between us" you whisper shout at him.
"Henceforth, covered her ears" he says, a bit frustrated with the lack of answer. You shrug his hands off the baby's ears and walks ahead, Lando following you.
"C'mon baby mils, let's leave your uncle Norris behind and get you on a nap" you say, say you nudge your nose into her belly making her giggle faintly as you saw she was getting sleepy.
"I guess, Uncle Norris gets his presentation later tonight then?" he asks, a tad bit of hope in his tone. You get to the car seat and buckle Mila up.
"You are all good to go baby Mi! You say. once you're all set with Mila, you turn around to meet with Lando, standing close by.
"and I'll see what i could do for you, Mr. Norris" You smoothen his collar of the coat as you leaned in and whispered, with a smile.
"How did i ever got so lucky?" He whispers, pulling you close before you walked by. You squish his cheeks with one hand.
"I guess it's the lucky charms?" you say, with thinking face, making Lando laugh.
"Thank god for that lemonade season" He says, making both you reminisce the day where it all began for the two.
. . . . memory unfolds
"Lemons are soo bitty. So would the lemonade be bitty too, mama and mama norri" the 3-year-old you asked as you stood in the kitchen, watching the two besties, your mom and Cisca make lemonade.
"Sweetheart, even the sour lemons can be made into lemonade. You just gotta add sweetness" your mom says, Cisca carrying the jar of sugar.
"Oohhh i hear lemonade" yells the 4-year-old Lando as he ran into the kitchen and sat next to you. The dads entering the room as they had came back from Lando's go-kart practice.
As the glass contained only lemon juice, you stopped him from drinking it.
"That's sour lemon landoo!" you say, grabbing the glass from him and leads his along with your glass towards Cisca to add sugar.
"Sour lemons can be made into lemonade by adding sweetness, the lucky charms" you say to lando. you and lando had a phase of saying sugar as lucky charms as it was sweet as the cerals luck charms.
Cisca handed back to you the two glass you had and then you mixed it well before handing it to Lando and yourself.
Seeing this scene unfold, your parents were in awe and felt like they're witnessing something special with their kids. And without any further request, your dad picks his camera and shot a picture.
A picture with an embark of new journey. A picture that both set of parents had it framed in their house as well as their hearts.
. . . . back to present
"Yoo lovebirds, come over and have your lemonade drinks" Oliver calls over the two of you.
You two walk over to where everyone was seated and handed a now sleepy Mils to Oliver. Flo hands the drinks for the two as well as your lucky-charm sugar sachets. Once you kept the drinks down, Lando grabbed it to drink it and before he could, you grabbed his hand, stopping him to take a sip.
"That's sour lemon, landooo!" you say as you shake your head at his carelessness. You then tear the sugar sachets and add to both of your lemonades.
"How do i always forget the lucky cha- i mean sugar" Lan mumbles, enough sound for you to hear as you let out a small laugh.
As the two of you have your lemonade drinks, the parents watch the two of you as they did 20 years back. Your dad takes a picture with your camera, that you had given him to hold it for you.
And i guess, the lemonade story have captured your lives in film roll.
. . . .
am i wanting a part 3 for this, just to wrap it?? you guys let me knw ;))

Smut prompt 1. and 28. with big himbo Wrecker and an afab/Reader?
Wrecker is so cute in the show. I love big softies, hope to see a lot more content with him when the next rolls out.
Pairing: Wrecker x afab!Reader
Tags: smut, nsfw, implied polyamory, rough sex,, size kink, dirty talk, praise, fingering, teasing
Word count: 1.2k
A/N: I feel like Wrecker would be really careful when he has sex. At least at first, before you give him the green light to completely ruin you.
Tumblr media
1. “I’d hold onto something if I were you.” + 28. “I just want to please you.”
Wrecker waited patiently with his arms crossed over his large chest as you bid goodnight to the rest of the Batch, kissing each of them on the cheek and then ruffling Omega's hair, at which the small archer giggled. They were off for a quick supply run, which gave you and Wrecker, hopefully enough time, to do what you needed, no wanted to do for about a week now.
"Quit your pouting Wrecker, we finally have some time alone." You had your arm wrapped around his, leading him towards his room. "Be happy."
"Yeah, yeah. Not fair that you spent time alone with my brothers first. Lucky bastards." He grumbled as he typed in the code to unlock the door, "I wanted to punch that stupid smirk off Crosshair's smug face all week."
There was only one way to shut him up now, you knew that well, "Don't think about him right now. We only have an hour or so before they're back, lets use it wisely. I just want to please you. It's only about you and me tonight. Okay big guy?" You landed a kiss on his chin, the only thing you could reach with the very noticeable height and size difference between you two.
"Yeh, alright." Instead of bending down he just picked you up like you weigh nothing at all. Given his huge mass and strength it was a small feat for him, "Gonna rock your world tonight babe."
Your lips met in a kiss, he didn't even break it to open the door, stumbling in, his arms cradling you protectively and with the slight possessiveness too. As your fingers itched under his armor he let out a little hum, his lips chasing yours as you pulled away from his arms. "Don't look at me like that, I need to get these clothes off."
His hands were faster, tugging and pushing until you were naked and pushed against the edge of the bunk beds.
Once again he demonstrated his might, lifting you up on his bunk and spreading your legs wide. Your pussy now at the perfect height to be eaten out by him. "Hey, Wrecker, we don't have time for- mmnn!"
"This is my time with you." He moves his lips against your clit, sending shivers up and down your spine, all the way down to your curling toes, "I decide how I wanna spend it. And I just wanna please you." His words made your hips jerk forward, seeking the warmth of his tongue, "Getting wet for me already girlie." You barely stifled a moan when he introduced his thick finger to your tight pussy. "Tight too. Guess they haven't been doing a good enough job with you these past days. I'll show them how it's done heh."
He kept prodding with his finger, uncoordinated, but touching every pleasurable spot due to it's thickness. Too bad he still had his gloves on. You loved them on Tech or Crosshair, but for those like Wrecker or Hunter, with such rough and scared hands, you wanted to feel everything.
"Take it off." You managed to whisper between your mewls.
"What ever you say pretty lady." But not before he pressed one more kiss against your clit and felt it pulse against his tongue. "Be right back to you. Don't get off without me."
Almost. You almost did, but you were too busy tearing your own clothes off. You could feel your empty cunt pulsing as you watched his back flex in that tight shirt when he bent down to take his pants and underwear off. Then there was his huge, veiny pulsing cock, dripping precum own the length and some on his abs too. Without much thought your fingers pushed into your pussy, three at once, making sure you were ready as soon as he got on top of you.
"Hey! What'd I say huh? No having fun without me!" Such a big man, such a cute pout, such a big fucking dick, getting closer and closer as he climbed on the bunk bed and made room for himself between your legs, "Now whose the one teasin'?" His hand wrapped around your wrist, lips turning into a sly smirk when you let out a whimper at your cunt being empty again. "Only three? You should know I'm thicker then that."
"Must have forgot. Won't you remind me?" You mirrored his smirk, and hooked your legs on his hips. You loved how he allowed himself t be pulled forward by you, all the way until his broad, bulbus cocktip pushed just past your entrance.
"I'd hold onto something if I were you." The sturdiest thing you could find was Wrecker himself, more specifically his shoulders. Your eyes roamed around his body for a moment, taking in every burn, stabbing wound, blaster scar and scratch. Pride swelled in your chest when you remembered some of those scratches were left by you scratching in the same place over and over before they had the time to heal.
As he pushed his cock inside you could feel every thick inch spreading your cunt. It was all to happy to take his girth, giving a little flutter when Wrecked bottomed out inside you. He may have teased you before but he sure as hell wasn't holding back now, thrusting so hard and deep your pussy didn't even have time to tighten before it was split open by his cock. It was a well known fact that he and his brothers didn't know what downtime was, they always found something to do, in many cases that something involved you in some way.
Wrecker was a soldier on a mission. And that mission was reminding your cunt how much it could take, and pushing the limits of it every time. "Wanna come inside you tonight babe. Wanna give your nice pussy a huge creampie."
Thank fucking Force you couldn't get pregnant then. You got that perinatally taken care of when Hunter gave you a scare. "I want that to big guy. Can you feel how much I want it?" Your gave his cock a tight squeeze with your inner walls, eliciting a rumble from him that some could easily mistake for a growl. "Been wanting you to do it all day."
"Gonna do it all night then." He promised as he lifted you into a hug, his body hunched over you, laving almost no space between your bodies. Deeper, faster, harder as the bed protected under your combined weight, "Tight. So tight. Missed this."
You trembled and clenched around him, fully locked around him, arms, legs and pussy too, your back arching into him, "Wrecker, fuck! Don't stop, getting closer!"
So was he, as uncoordinated as ever, no plan, only pleasure.
Your body went rigid as you felt him come inside you. "Wre- ah!" You couldn't summon the will to talk, only focused on how wonderful it felt to have him coming undone on top of you, his huge body shaking, his eyes shut and that strong jaw clenched tight as his kept rutting his hips into yours until the pleasure subsided.
He fell on top of you, or would have if he didn't have enough in him to roll to the side. With your body still locked around him it was easy to feel every laugh that left his body. "How was that babe?"
"Rough." Worry flashed across his face for a moment before you cupped his cheek and pulled him into a kiss, "It was just what I needed Wrecker. Thank you."
"Ah, shucks, you're gonna get me all embaressed now." That was the cutest thing about him. Out off all of his brothers he was the easiest and by far the most fun to tease.

***
The warm sunlight of Pabu's evening sunset washed over you as you rushed off your ship, where Hunter and Wrecker were waiting for you.
"Where is he?" you asked them urgently.
"He's down on the beach," Wrecker answered, pointing in the direction you needed to go.
"He's...adjusting to everything," Hunter added, "but I think seeing you again will do him some good."
You nearly wanted to cry as you smiled and said back, "Thank you. Thank you." Then you immediately took off, making your way down the island to the beach.
It had felt like a lifetime ago that you had met the Bad Batch on Coruscant as a medic of the Grand Army of the Republic. You and Crosshair somehow managed to develop feelings for each other over time during his planetside visits, but things changed when Order 66 happened. Not only had Crosshair defected to the Empire, but you ended up going into hiding to keep yourself safe from the Empire. However, you'd kept in touch as best you could with the rest of the Bad Batch, letting them know of your wellbeing and whereabouts. It had been a few days ago that you'd gotten a transmission from Hunter letting you know that Crosshair had left the Empire and was back with them again...and that you should meet them on a remote planet they'd found refuge on so you could see him again.
You had never put in a set of coordinates and launched into hyperspace faster in your life.
In all your time apart, you had wondered so many questions, some of which the Bad Batch had given you answers to. The greatest question of all had been: would you ever see your beloved Crosshair; the real Crosshair you had once known ever again?
You were about to find out.
It felt like forever before you finally got down to the beach and you halted as you rounded a corner, shock overtaking you. There he was, sitting on a rock, his back to you as he was watching the sunset. He wore brown civilian clothing, his head was devoid of his silver hair and you could see a big, reddish scar on the left side of his head that made your heart ache. His shoulders hung low and there was an air of sadness about him. He didn't appear as confident or strong as you'd once known him to be.
What had the Empire done to him?
You called out his name for the first time in so long.
Gradually, he straightened his back upon hearing your voice before finally turning over his shoulder to look at you, rising to his feet. He looked tired yet at the same time, there was still a glint of his old self still in his eyes and face. The face you hadn't seen in forever. The face of the man you loved so dearly yet had never gotten the chance to tell him.
Then he said your name and you were undone.
Your legs moved of their own accord faster than you even knew they could run towards him until your body collided with his, grabbing him tightly in your arms. For a moment, you could feel him stiffen, but then he relaxed and his arms enfolded you in his embrace.
"Oh Crosshair, I thought I'd never see you again!" you cried into his shoulder.
"I...I don't understand. Why are you here?" he asked in your ear.
"Hunter told me you were back and to come here to see you," you informed him.
Then Crosshair gently nudged you back so he could fully see you. "Did the others tell you what I've done?" he then questioned, melancholy in his eyes.
You nodded.
"Then you would know I've done terrible things. My past with the Empire has...changed who I am."
“Forget about the past. What about now? Who are you now?”
Your question seemed to surprise Crosshair. He was silent for a moment, unsure of how to answer.
"I...want to be more and better than what I was, but...it's difficult," he admitted, avoiding eye contact with you. "I left the Empire...but the others still don't trust me. I'm surprised they didn't say the same to you. Though, maybe they'd be right. After the things I've done and the mistakes I've made...I wouldn't trust me either."
Your hands clenched into fists at your sides, heartbroken at what he was saying to you. He spoke so negatively about himself, which was something he would've never done when you had known him before. It hurt your heart to see how far he had fallen, but you wouldn't let him sink any lower. It was up to you to start pulling him from the depths he was drowning in...starting with how you truly felt about him.
You then blurted out, your emotions overwhelming you, “I don’t care what they say. You matter more to me than anything else.”
Crosshair let out a small, astonished gasp.
You kept going, everything you'd wanted to say for a long time just spilling out of you, "I know you've made mistakes. We all do! What matters is who you choose to be now. If you're wanting to be better, then you're already on the right path and I want to be on that path with you the whole way. I want to help you and care for you like I once did so long ago! I don't want us to ever be parted again and I'm not ever going to leave you, you hear me? I finally am with you again and I won't let you push me away."
"(Y/N)...," he said softly in disbelief.
"I mean it, Crosshair!" you nearly shouted. "Every day was agony without you, but I never gave up hope for you because I love you! Do you understand? I never gave up hope that the Crosshair I once knew was still inside you and I can see that's who you are again. I've missed you and I love you so much. I should've told you that a long time ago, but I love you, Crossha--"
Your words were silenced as suddenly, Crosshair took your face in his hands and kissed you hard and desperately, his mouth practically devouring yours. Your body melted into him as you kissed him back with equal desire, relieved to be feeling the familiar sensation of his lips on yours once more. Tears of overwhelming joy spilled out the corners of your eyes, sliding down your cheek and onto his gloved hands that soon moved down to your waist, pulling you flush against him as his kisses grew gentler, but no less passionate. You felt as though you could've kissed him for every hour that you had spent apart and it still wouldn't be enough. You both had so much time to make up for and it all started with this moment.
After minutes of being entwined in each other’s arms, you both finally came apart, gasping for air, but your foreheads were pressed together.
"I don't know how you can still love me after everything I've done...but I'm grateful you do," he whispered to you. "You are enough...enough for me to want to keep going and to be the man you once saw in me. To continue being someone worthy of your love."
You kissed him again and then hugged his neck. "That's all I can ask for," you said to him.
The two of you stood there in each other's arms, relishing in being together again and committing the feel of each other's warmth to memory, even though you both knew deep down that you would never be apart again.
"Please...stay here with me," he whispered, almost pleading. "I don't want to go back yet."
"Of course, I will," you answered. "We can watch the sunset together."
You pulled away and took his hands, leading him over to a spot in the sand where the two of you could sit beside each other. At first, you rested your head on his shoulder as the sun descended on the horizon, but as moments passed, you ended up lying down with your head in his lap, his hand stroking your hair. You caught the last couple stray rays of light before you found your eyes closing and you drifted to sleep.
But not before you heard Crosshair whisper aloud, "Thank you, (Y/N)...I love you."

Chapter 6: Interest
Tumblr media
During the Clone Wars, the Bad Batch is tasked with a variety of missions across the galaxy. An unexpected addition to their team throws a wrench in the mix, particularly for Tech, who finds a particular connection with this disillusioned Padawan-turned-mechanic named Vel throughout the events in this action-adventure romance.

Vel was lounging on the bridge one day when she decided to go down to her quarters. As the door slid open, she noticed Tech on the opposite side, performing some incredibly procedural calisthenics in an open corner. At the whoosh of the door, Tech stood up, momentarily pausing his routine.
"Ah, excuse me," he said, wiping a light sheen of sweat from his brow, "I assumed you would be upstairs for a longer period of time." He bent to pick up his armor, wearing only his black base layer. "Sorry," she said, waving one hand in front of her dismissively, "Don't mind me, keep doing your thing." Pausing for a moment to discern between any possible self-consciousness at being observed and the importance of maintaining his fitness routine, Tech watched her walk to her bunk. Returning the armor to the ground near a crate, he moved slightly to place a tall cargo pile between himself and her before continuing.
Vel saw him drop down out of the corner of her eye and found herself unable to resist a surreptitious glance. Was he... hiding? She smirked, a mix of cynicism and a shocking bit of warmth, and turned down to her book. She read for a moment, listening halfheartedly to the various quiet rustling sounds and occasional grunts coming from the opposite corner.
Finally, she could resist no longer, her curiosity far outweighing her desire to read. She stowed the book and stood, moving sideways until she could see Tech through a gap in the cargo. He was swiftly moving back and forth in some strange crawling motion, holding his body in a rigid plank while bringing alternating knees up to his chest before flipping onto his back and performing a similarly complex routine. Entirely without her permission, she found herself noticing a surprising agility and strength she hadn't seen before. She marveled at the fluidity of his movement, not being familiar with this sort of exercise, when her unabashed assessment was interrupted by his awareness. "Unlike Wrecker, I do not enjoy being observed while exercising," Tech stated, pausing his movement and sitting up on his knees to look at her. "I can continue later."
"No, sorry," she said, wincing at her own obviousness, "I just..." Just what? She paused, hating the feeling of being exposed, but decided to admit her curiosity. "I just haven't seen anything like that before."
"Of course not," Tech replied, with a hint of pride in his voice, "It is an adaptation of Noghri combat forms, blended together to provide a challenge for every muscle group of the human body. Some may criticize its lack of bravado or showiness," he continued, and Vel mentally replaced the "some" with "Wrecker" as he spoke, "But it is highly effective when executed correctly." She found a small smile on her face as he rolled up his sleeves, adjusting his goggles and regarding her with patience. When she realized her expression, she quickly dropped the corners of her mouth to nonchalance. "It looks hard," was all she could say, lowering her eyes to his forearms, unremarkable yet indescribably pleasing to the eye. She followed them down to his hands, splayed on the tops of his thighs as he sat on his knees. He noticed her gaze, lifting a hand to the back of his neck for a quick rub that belied his discomfort. "Sorry," she said again, "I'll let you get back to it." But before she could decide her next move, their planetary arrival was announced. "Coming out of hyperspace," came the voice from the bridge, and Vel braced herself for the inevitable forward jolt. The ship lurched to a cruising speed and Kashyyyk came into view. The planet was impossibly green and dazzlingly blue, peppered with rich tones of brown and red. As they dropped low over the tree line, Vel pressed her face to the window, eyes wide. She had never seen such a place.
Canopies of trees stretched out as far as the eyes could see, interwoven with simple rope ladders that branched out like a spiderweb. Sparkling rivers flowed beneath, lined with reeds and bushes, weaving throughout the massive forest. The Marauder came to a smooth stop on a landing platform as Tech finished assembling his armor. Helmet under his arm, he moved toward the lift.
He had seen her gaping at the scenery, and he understood her awe -- it was a fantastic ecosystem and unrivaled by most of the planets he had seen. It had been months of missions to Outer Rim deserts or greasy Core underworlds, and this was a disproportionately refreshing sight.
"Would you like to see Kashyyyk?" Tech asked, his hand hovering over the control panel for the lift.
"What makes you think I haven't?" Vel replied, guarded and cocky by default.
"Your face," Tech answered bluntly, regarding her solemnly from his bespectacled helmet, "When we entered the atmosphere."
Vel laughed, caught off guard by his seemingly complete ignorance of her sarcasm. She felt herself let the walls down a little, surprised at his genuine honesty and intrigued by the invitation. "Sure," she shrugged, trying to seem nonchalant but feeling a growing sense of eagerness in her stomach. She joined him on the lift and the doors whooshed closed.
***
Their stay on Kashyyyk ended up stretching into days and then weeks as the team waited for their cargo to be ready. They coped with the extended stay in their own ways, from excessive exercise (Wrecker) to target practice with the locals (Crosshair). Tech found a local archive of the region, full of everything from mythology to botany, and set to work expanding and updating his own files.
Vel took some time to herself, meditating in the forest which was an entirely new experience. She tried to reach out to the Force but felt nothing but a dull ache. She strained to move a pebble, and it teetered onto its side after a valiant wobble. She let out a breath of frustration, flopping onto her back under the shady canopy of trees.
No wonder she had failed Jedi training. The only time she felt even remotely connected to the Force was in perfect moments like this, surrounded by lush nature that was an undeniably living, breathing entity on its own. When it came to the nuance, the precision, the rules, the complexity... She didn't have the focus. Once again, didn't have what it took.  Sunlight streamed through the boughs, casting little dancing reflections off of the bugs and dust that swirled through the air. She took a deep breath and closed her eyes, folding her hands behind her head. She had no idea what she was doing. Was the plan to just cavort around the galaxy with this ragtag band of defective clones, like some kind of pathetic pit droid, fixing the ship and anything else that was needed? A crunch of leaves behind her startled her to her feet, and she swung a large stick toward the intruder without ever consciously picking it up. Holding it in front of her like a sword, she squinted as he stepped through the foliage. Even with both hands in the air, one of them still held a datapad, and Tech took another step closer.
"If you would be so kind as to postpone my impalement," he began, hands remaining in the air as he approached, waving the instrument, "I found something nearby that I thought would be interesting to you."
She lowered her arm, casting the stick off to the side. It landed among some bushes with a swish, "Sorry," she said, "Old habits. What did you find?" "There is a geological cache approximately two clicks east of here," he said, pulling his visor down as he continued to enter information for his scanner. "You told me about a part you used on the ion cannons of a cruiser that drew power from a particular mineral that is found on only two planets, of which this is one. I'm curious if the same process could be replicated on a smaller level to provide a boost to the hyperdrive when it begins to fail." "There's only one way to find out," Vel replied, brushing off her pants, "Lead the way."
***
The geological cache ended up being a fascinating wealth of history and information about hundreds of minerals and elements. Vel found herself feeling childishly giddy, an age-old love of learning awakening within her, a curiosity she hadn't felt since she was young. She was still young, technically, but her life experiences left her feeling a million years old, and the voracious delight of discovery had faded long ago.
But here, it was different. Somehow, being unable to do anything else and being forced into a world as captivating as Kashyyyk had brought back some old yearnings, and in the dusty third level of the geological cache, Vel was pressed close up against a glass case containing a variety of minerals and describing the possible reactions between them all.
"Tech!" she exclaimed, pressing a finger into the glass, "Look at this!" He sidled up behind her, raising his visor to examine the text she was indicating toward. After a quick skim of the words, his eyes squinted behind his goggles.
"I would have never guessed," he said simply, regarding both the glass case as well as Vel with a newfound curiosity. There was a different sense about her suddenly, a disarmingly genuine enthusiasm for the content of their exploration. It was a refreshing departure from her typically morose behavior and borderline annoying apathy, and he found himself intrigued.
"It says there is a botanical archive as well, a sister site that can be accessed here," Vel said, reading a map at the end of the exhibit. "Can we look?" she asked, turning to look at Tech and realizing her appearance. She stuffed down the girlish delight and set her mouth in a casual line, "I mean, it would be smart to check it out, since the Syren plant's fibers are worth a small fortune if we can extract the pheromones." Tech did not miss the sudden change of composure, but it didn't seem to invite conversation, so he simply nodded in agreement, entering new coordinates on the datapad and pointing to an exit.

Everything you write is so stickin good!!! I hope you’re doing wonderful! How are you liking season 2 so far?!? I’m absolutely in LOVE with it!
If I could possibly make a request? No pressure and I totally understand if you can’t! Could I request readers first time in the communal showers on Kamino and the batch plus Rex and Cody being surprised that reader actually is using the communal shower instead of waiting like the other females do and maybe them enjoying the view. 😏 I skimmed your list and didn’t see this there but if it is then I’m sorry for bugging you!! Lots of love and hugs to you!!!
Gosh, I could do a lot with this idea. But what am I going with? A One-Shot with all of them? Separate HCs? Should I stay suggestive? Strongly suggestive? Smut? Several One-Shots?
You know what, I'll go with a One-Shot first with all of them, making it just a bit suggestive and a little awkward 😋 I keep all the other ideas for this scenario for another time. I'll make some notes because this has a lot of potential in my opinion.
Now let's see....
The Bad Batch /Rex /Cody x Fem!Reader One-Shot - Communal Showers
Tumblr media
Warning: Slightly Suggestive
_____________
You've had a long, tiring day. You're still at the training center and spending the night in the barracks tonight. There are not many female soldiers working with the clones, so the sanitary facilities on site are not yet adapted. Normally you shower in a more or less nearby hotel, paid for by the Republic, but today you long to take a quick shower and get to bed quickly.
It is quiet in the corridors, most units are on duty, many of them off world. You grab your things and hastily slip into the clones' public showers, at the moment they are completely empty and the stalls all unused. There is a smell of water, soap and disinfectant. You hastily jump into one of the back stalls, the stalls are all open and only about shoulder-high, so should anyone come by you can't really hide, but you don't expect to be surprised.
However, the warm water relaxes your muscles, and you forget about time, dawdling a bit, enjoying the warmth of the water and taking your time washing. You have just soaped up your hair when you hear the door and then several voices. Startled, you stop in mid-motion, your hands on your head, some shampoo running down your face and into your right eye, you blink, suppressing a curse.
The voices come closer and with your left eye you immediately see a whole group of men, two regs and the guys from the Bad Batch. The booths are open and face each other, you couldn't understand the sense of this construction, but there was nothing you could do about it now.
Directly in the booth across from you one of the regs starts to shower, Cody, if everything didn't fool you. To your left is the one they call Tech, to your right Crosshair, the rest of the squad showers in the opposite row, but still close enough to get a good look if they spot you.
Cody is undressing, and you can't help but watch, still frozen in your stance with the burning shampoo in your right eye. You have to hand it to the clones, they are damn well-built, you think silently in admiration. Hard muscles stand out under tanned skin. Then Cody turns, for a millisecond your eyes fall on his crotch, then your eyes meet.
Cody looks at you uncomprehendingly, his gaze traveling down your body as slowly his brows go up.
"Are you lost?"
"What?" asks Rex next to him, who turns and now also looks in your direction and pauses, "…oh"
The blonde clone blinks several times and can't help but eye you curiously for a moment, but he finally turns around a bit embarrassed and mumbles to Cody, "Stop staring"
Cody blinked, cleared his throat and turned around as well and said, "Well, you can't blame me, the sight in here is new and not to be sneezed at. Pretty sure she's staring at my ass right now too".
Caught with your cheeks getting warmer, you tear your gaze away from Cody's gorgeous buttocks.
To your left, you hear Tech say softly, "Well, that's new."
Carefully, you turn your head a little and see him adjust his goggles and wipe the lenses with two fingers. When your eyes meet, and he realizes you've caught him staring, he hastily turns away, cheeks flushing.
Heart pounding, you quickly wash out your hair and rinse the shampoo from your eye.
"What's so interesting with you guys… woah"
You tear your eyes open to see Hunter standing in front of you, you stare at each other dumbly for a moment before he hastily covers his manhood with both hands and quickly walks back into his cubicle, his head flushed, accompanied by the laughter of most of his brothers.
Wrecker, who can easily see over all the booths, waves shyly at you with reddened cheeks, scratches the back of his head nervously and looks questioningly at his brothers before hastily turning away.
You feel that your face is all hot, your whole body is glowing with shame. Nervousness tickles under your skin, if the guys were nasty they could take advantage of the situation and jump you, but to your relief none of them tries it, on the contrary, most of them finally politely look away. Except for one.
Crosshair stares at you, standing motionless in his booth for quite a while, before he finally starts to wash up as well, but he doesn't avert his gaze. You have to admit, this one in the group does make you a little nervous.
You hurriedly wash off the soap, turn off the water, and hastily wrap yourself in your towel. To your annoyance, you realize that you have taken a smaller one than planned, and the fabric only barely covered your most intimate parts. With a hot face, you hurriedly walk past the cabins with the showering clones. You feel that their eyes follow you. As you pass Crosshair, you hear him say teasingly, "Hope to see you here again soon".

Whump: The Musical Day 6: Newsies (Chronic Pain)
Fandom: The Bad Batch
Summary: Crosshair finally does something about his hand.
Crosshair hated Hemlock. Never before had he hated someone so much. As he watched his hand shake, he knew that if he ever saw the scientist again, he would shoot his in the stomach and drive his rifle into the wound. He would make him feel as helpless and as awful as he felt.
It wasn't just the shaking. His arm had been in pain for months. There was nothing he could do. Pain medicine made it bearable, sometimes it even kept it from hurting, but like a river, the dam could only stop it for so long.
So, Crosshair started to think there was nothing he could do. It had been months.
Tech would have known. But, Tech was dead. Az should know but he didn't have the technology he needed. Crosshair was too nervous to go to the hospital on Pabu. He knew he shouldn't wait, but he wanted someone to go with him and he wasn't going to take the kid. Hunter would be his best opinion but he couldn't face him yet.
This morning, Crosshair grabbed the last of his stolen pain meds and put them in his mouth. The bitter taste lingered on his tongue as he swallowed the pills. But the pain wouldn't leave him alone.
As the day went on, Crosshair seemed detached. It appeared that he was always thinking about something. The batch didn't know rather to give him space or if they should talk to him.
"I'm going to talk to him" Hunter finally said.
"Normally Cross doesn't like to talk to us about these kinds of things unless he comes to us." It wasn't that Wrecker didn't want to talk to his brother, he just didn't want to make anything worse.
"He's in pain, I can tell. I don't want him to hide that from us."
    "Okay."
So Hunter went to find his brother. Crosshair was in tears when he found him. Holding his wrist, the sniper tried not to look at him.
"What's wrong?" Hunter came to sit beside Crosshair.
    "I'm fine" he scowled.
    "You're crying."
    "I said I'm fine."
"What's going on?" Hunter sounded so calm. He talked to him with all the patients he had, maybe more.
"My hand" Crosshair sighed, "my hand was messed up at Tantiss . It hurts Hunter." The man looked over at his brother, tired. "It hurts all the time and I'm out of pain meds."
It took a moment before Hunter said anything. "okay. Let's take you to the hospital. They might be able to do something for you." Seeing Hunter reach out to him, helped. It almost felt like nothing happened.
The two walked to the hospital together. Hunter went in first and whispered something to the nurse at the front desk that Crosshair couldn't hear. The sniper followed his brother inside. After a while, the two were called back.
"So the nurse tells me that your wrist has been bothering you."
    "Yes."
"Alright, lets take a look." The doctor took Crosshair's hand into her own. After talking for a while, the doctor ordered a few tests. She was determined to get to the source of Crosshair's pain.
A NCV showed that the man had nerve damage.
"Unfortunately, we would have to operate. Even then the pain and the damage will never completely heal. I'm sorry but you'll need a brace to help steady your hand and we'll put you on pain medicine for the chronic pain."
"That's it?" Crosshair sighed. "How soon can you do the surgery and how soon can I have those meds?"
"Soon and soon. I'll get everything scheduled. About once a month you'll come here to pick up your medication. After your surgery we'll put you in physical therapy to help with the recovery."
"Okay."
"Thank you doc." Hunter stood.
The brothers walked outside. "It's a start" the older of the two said.
Crosshair looked at his hand. He took two of the Gabapentin pills. Then he put his dark gray brace on. "Okay."

The Endless Cycle: In Defense of the "Filler" Episodes in "The Bad Batch"
I'm up to the the half way point of season 2 of the Bad Batch and there's something I've noticed about the filler episodes: there's actually a point them. The Batch doesn't simply "do." Whether immediate or later down the line, the "filler" episodes do have a point even if we an all agree they're not the best. I remember first watching and being like, "where's the plot" and "when can we get back to Crosshair?" And I'll admit, I did prefer the episodes where there was something more impactful happening. However, the more filler-y episodes weren't pointless either. The biggest difference between season 1 "filler" and season 2 is that season 1 sets up arcs and other characters while season 2 "filler" has more emphasis on the Batch themselves. The "filler" episodes make up what I call the survival arc in which the Batch must learn how to make a living for themselves.
Season 1
Ep. 4 "Cornered"- this is the episode where we meet Fennec Shand. Fennec is a part of the bounty hunter arc. Although there doesn't seem like much happening other than Omega getting chased, this episode sets up future conflict. The Batch now has to keep Omega safe from bounty hunters who are after her.
Ep. 5 "Rampage"- like the previous episode, this episode serves as a means to progress the bounty hunter arc. It is also the first time we see the boys work for Cid. Although it seems like a pointless episode, there is a point. The Batch go on a mission and in turn, Cid gives them the information on Fennec. Fennec was established in the previous episode as an antagonist.
Ep. 6 "Decommissioned"- in this episode, we learn about Rex's involvement in the show. Although the majority of the episode is just a mission for Cid, the end gives us a hint of what's to come. Rex is crucial for the Batch's understanding of the chip. This culminates in the events of episodes 7 and 8.
Ep. 13 "Infested"- this furthers the Batch's relationship with Cid. But other than that, this is the only episode I'd truly call filler.
Season 2
Ep. 4 "Faster"- Tech finally gets the spotlight. Not only do we see more of how clever he truly is, but Tech gets recognized and appreciated for it. It's a fun episode that lets us know Tech more. There is also an interesting contrast between Tech, a human who talks more like a droid at times, and TAY-0, a droid who talks more like a human. However, Tech is human and it's what makes him smarter than a droid at the end of the day.
Ep. 5 "Entombed"- another fun episode where we see more of Phee and her dynamic with the Batch. Two things I noticed: Omega tends to mimic others she finds cool or role models to her and how tired Hunter is. As my cousin pointed out, this episode solidifies the fact that the Batch is just going through the motions at this rate.
Ep. 6 "Tribe"- this episode is the foundation of what Pabu later solidifies: the Batch, Hunter in particular, being tired of constantly doing missions and wanting to find their own place to raise Omega. Gungi is separated from his home because of Order 66 so the Batch decide to help him. Through their interactions, Hunter pays attention to Omega and realizes that she deserves to be a kid, not a soldier.
These "filler" episodes take the Batch through an arc across the seasons. In the beginning, it was their means of survival. Not only could they use those missions as a way to get info, but it was a means to get money for food and repairs. In season 1, they were so eager to do what they could in order earn their keep. But as the Empire's grip began to tighten around them, that attitude slowly began to change. We see it in the form of Hunter's tiredness and frustration. By season 2, it feels like the boys and Omega are just going through the motions: need to live, go on mission, get money, rinse and repeat. This is no life for Omega and Hunter realizes that. While life as mercenaries might fit some like Cad Bane or Fennec, it clearly doesn't suit the Batch longterm. They want something more. Echo in particular realized that this was not the life for him or this brothers.
Echo as a character is very interesting even if he unfortunately doesn't get much to do. In the Clone Wars, he was part of Domino Squad who were sort of a Bad Batch themselves. Following orders as a cadet was Echo's thing; it was what earned him his name. However, there is more to Echo than just being a rule follower. Echo is very loyal and sticks to his beliefs firmly. He's kinda like Cross in that aspect. After losing Domino Squad, he only had Fives left. Fives, similarly, is someone who has a set of values that he sticks to without fault. I think they both inspired one another to be honest. Echo is then lost at the Citadel and turned into a cyborg. Fortunately, he is rescued by Rex, Anakin, and the Batch. Despite his suffering, Echo never lost his fighting spirit. I firmly believe that Echo feels indebted as a result of his rescue and second chance. He sees the Batch as a chance for a new life and to help others the way they helped him. When he chooses to off with Rex, it is to further his goal of helping others. Whenever Echo talks to Hunter, it's usually about what the Batch could be doing. Echo has a very solid set of moral values. He longs to give others a second chance at a better life. He was given that chance and he won't waste it. This is why I think he leaves in the second season. The Batch have been stuck in an endless of cycle of mission-payment. There's no greater good being fulfilled, only survival. Echo is tired of sitting around and doing nothing; he needs to find his own path. He's getting worn out. So, when Rex comes along and asks for Echo and the Batch's help, Echo makes a choice to fulfill what he needs to do. He's going to give others a second chance make a difference.
Then there's Hunter. Hunter spends the first half of season 2 in what I call "tired dad mode." Like the rest, this man is going through the motions and it's slowly eating at him. Was this the life he or his brothers were promised? No. Hunter is supposed to be the leader and look where the Batch is now. And then there's Omega. Hunter imprinted on her. That's his kid, the reason he wakes up each morning, and you can't argue otherwise. No one is going to get between them without a fight. But Hunter knows too well that war and a life as a mercenary isn't what Omega needs. She needs somewhere safe to grow up and be a kid. The clones never had a choice, but now, they do. The episode "Tribe," is a foreshadow to Pabu in my opinion. The Batch get a small taste of domesticity and they like it. More importantly, Hunter likes it. He realizes this is exactly what Omega needs.
In contrast to Hunter's tiredness is Omega. While the filler episodes show us just how the rest of the Batch is tired of this endless cycle, it has the opposite affect on our girl. Omega has never been outside Tipoca City until the Batch rescued her and adopted her. The filler episodes, which see the Batch on various adventures, let Omega explore worlds and things she's never seen before. Her wonderment always amazes me. It emphasizes her role as the heart of the Batch even more. The filler also lets Omega learn lessons about life and teach others as well. Twice, she convinces her brothers to help Cid because Cid helped them. Omega's personality is a complete 180 from the Batch but that's not a bad thing. She gives her brothers a new perspective just as they give her one. However, there needs to be a balance in life. Omega is still learning and growing. She may love all the crazy adventures and what they might teach her, but that also brings the inherent risk of danger. She needs to be allowed to be a kid. This is why Pabu and the events of "Tribe" are so important to Omega's growth. She may prefer adventure, but knowing life without worrying about one's survival is equally crucial. Omega still has a lot to learn, but her spunky energy and love for life will take her far.
With Wrecker and Tech, it's a bit different since they both kinda just float along with the rest of the group. They both are tired of the same old but don't have strong reservations the way Hunter or Echo do. Wrecker at the end of the day just wants to live happily with his family and blow things up. The missions give him fun things to do; there's never a boring moment when things go awry. Wrecker is more a less a child. But he knows when something is serious and can handle it with maturity. Where Crosshair struggles to open up and keeps his feelings buried, Wrecker is an open book. His "go with the flow" attitude is similar to Omega and makes missions more bearable. Tech, on the other hand, is more irritable. Being the logical one, he understands why the Batch continues doing what they do. However, his tone of voice and casual quips reveal that he too is done with everything. He needs to break out of the cycle. This isn't working anymore. Tech is someone who always goes for what's most strategic and to quote Mori from Bungou Stray Dogs, "the optimal solution." Need more speed? Just drop the weapons. Gonna go racing? Study the track beforehand. Even in season 1, he does what's needed to be done in order to continue surviving. He doesn't visibly show that he is tired; he does it through his words. Tech and Wrecker seek to continue on living and keeping their family safe. They don't feel the need to do more like Echo or have to lead like Hunter. That's the difference. Because Tech and Wrecker don't carry a heavy burden the way Echo and Hunter do, they drift along and it's gradually getting to them.
To summarize after such a long post:
The filler episodes drive the plot along by introducing certain ideas and characters. However, they also represent the endless loop of going through the motions. Mercenaries isn't the life the Batch should be living but are stuck in because they have no choice. Echo longs for more, Hunter is tired, Omega enjoys them for the adventure they bring her, and Tech and Wrecker go along with it because what else can they do?
That's my analysis on the Batch and filler episodes. I'm sure I'll have more to say, specifically Tech and Crosshair related in the future. Anyways, take care.

Loyalty // Imperial Crosshair Soulmate AU

"The sun is setting!" You screamed into com channel which was code for 'I'm farked, don't send help' the as the Empire continued to shoot down your ship causing you to plummet into the unknown planet below. You set the nose of the ship down watching it burn as you scrambled to the back of the ship grabbing your jet pack, bag and air mask. You holstered your blaster and got back to the pilot seat wanting the flame erupt as you break into atmosphere. This is going to be fun or I'll be dead. You scrambled back to the end ship after you brought the nose up and jumped the moment the ship started burning. Why didn't I refuel my pack. The initial jump knocked the air of you causing you to plummet, you barely managed to turn the pack on before hitting the tree line. Unsteady you flew it into a bush passing out just to awoke by the sound of rustling. Your hand flew to your blaster and you got up seeing the Empire's ships landing way in the distance by the smoke of your crashed ship. Why couldn't I have crashed further away? You got up and kept running, it seemed like hours when you finally stopped wheezing looking up seeing the smoke barely noticeable any more. You looked down to see the count down on the back of your hand start. My soulmate is here? You stared back at the faint hit of smoke, I hope it's just a coincidence.
Crosshair rummaged threw the crash-site with no sign of their defector, "She's not here," he growled to his squad, "Spread out," he ordered, "She doesn't leave this planet." The moment the squad was away he pulled his glove off to look down at his burning palm, the count down on his thumb starting. So... she's here. He tugged the glove on, letting the little compass in his brain take over. He hoped it was just a coincidence that the count down started while he was on an assignment but knew he wasn't so lucky. Eventually his eyes picked up the barely perceptible trace of foot prints, Found you.
The moment you caught your breath you started running again finding a small village, it didn't take long to find out they were rebel sympathizers as you found them pulling rebel flags in a hurry. They saw you and the state of dishevelment you were they invited you in handing you food and cover. Minutes turn into you hours and your timer was still ticking down. You looked out the window of the cottage not seeing any more ships arriving... or leaving for that matter. The glass of water they gave you slipped from your hand and shatter glass along the floor, your hand started burning more.
"What is it?" The elderly woman said looking out the window but seeing nothing.
You quickly took off your bag and rummaged around for a tiny data card, you grabbed her hand and closed her fingers around it, "There coming, I have to go now. I'll be back for this." You scooped your stuff off the floor and bolted back into the woods the pain in your head subsiding. Of course my mate is a slimy nerf herder bucket brain, just my luck. You stopped for a moment debating your next move, I can stand my ground here reject him and hopefully use the pain to stall him... or I could get captured in the process. You spat on the ground in anger. You're eyes scanning the town once more, no ships or advanced tech at least here. Just keep moving. You started running again. Night had already fallen by the time you finally stopped, using a true to support your self your breathing ragged and uneven. You fell to your hands and knees trying to catch your breath. Just my luck, can today get any worse? You let out an audible groan forcing your self to stand. It's dark out, there buckets have infrared. Your eyes found a river and caves in the distance. It can always get worse. You laid low quickly making your way towards it through your bags into a waterproof container and stripping off the first layer of clothes tossing them in the bag which left you bare besides your underwear, chest band and shoes. If I managed to get back to the rebels... I'm never doing a solo mission again. You put one foot in the stream and started shivering the perfect way to cool down your temp. You jumped in smiling along with the river. The cold of it keep you icily alert to every noise around you.
Crosshair eyed the edge of the forest seeing if any of the squad had followed him but it was was alone, even in the dark his eyes surpassed the visors in TK helmets. He found a small town and traced the footprints to the edge and looked around seeing an elderly lady standing in the window looking at him. He smiled watching her close the curtain, he went over and banged on the door. He stated who he was and at the mention of the empire the old lady finally opened the door. He took his helmet off and flicked a toothpick in his mouth.
"I can promise you'll receive worse treatment from me then the Empire," he growled, "Now where is my mate," his eyes burning into her looking for any hints if she was still inside.
"A wanderer left an hour ago," she replied holding her gaze, "Didn't say anything about looking for her mate however."
"Which way did she go," he said biting down on the toothpick making it splinter.
"West."
So she went East, "Thank you," he gridded out tossing the toothpick to the ground and leaving her there, how far are you going to make me chase you. He found the footprints and his legs started moving the pain in his hand starting to burn again. She's been here... more recent then an hour. The foot prints took him to a stream and he looked up barely seeing you in the very distance.
Your arms kept paddling through the water propelling you along with the current, fighting against it you managed to get yourself out of the stream. You quickly squished the water out of your hair and swiped as much water off your body as you could before putting your clothes on. Your eyes went wide finally looking at your hand, 5, you watched as it turned down to 4, why couldn't it be 4 days, no way I'm winning against fate or getting to the caves before that. Fine I'll make my stand now. You grabbed your blaster turning it on the highest stun setting, if I captured at least I get the satisfaction of knocking their egos down a few pegs. You slowly started running towards the caves thinking if by chance you got away they would make good cover. You looked down at your hands 1. You tried to grab your blaster but you already felt the armor pressing into your back and something cold against your throat holding you against him.
"Don't become my enemy," he threatened pulling his rifle tighter against your throat seeing your hand inch towards your firearm.
"I'm already your enemy, Imp," you hissed pulling your hands up and gripping the cold restrain, "Are you choking me with your weapon?" it might have been a lapse in judgement due to the high stress but you laughed which was a mistake because he pulled it tighter making you silent.
"Rather I kill you with it?"
You detached your grip from the metal, squinting at your palm 0, "Yes I would," you spat hearing it land on his shoe, "Hurts less then rejection and no way I ever will be mates with imperial slime."
Crosshair pulled the riffle even taught against your neck eyeing the tree line again, but no movement came, "Walk," he growled pushing you towards the cave.
"Give you the satisfaction of being rejected in private? I rather embarrass you in front of them."
"Walk," he growled pushed you harder releasing the Firepuncher's tightness against you to be a bit more bearable. Even with the armor between the both of you he could feel the bond already started to tug him towards you.
The moment the both of you were at the cave he grabbed the blaster but released his grip on you shoving you away from him. You stumbled a bit but his hand caught your arm and quickly released it when he knew you weren't going to fall.
You let yourself stare at him in full black armor, "of course he's also one of the empires black dogs," you muttered disgusted.
"Black dog?" he asked not having heard the term before.
"And stupid," you rolled your eyes, "Black dogs are their precious obedient soldiers sent to do their dirty work, typically cold blooded killers who don't feel anything," it took all of your restraint not to spat on his visor helmet. You took a couple more steps away from him facing outside the cave, you weren't going to run because he could just chase you down again. You folded your arms over your chest and anxiously bit of your finger tip for a few moments before tucking it into your arm. "I use to believe Fate was infallible," you said looking at him watching you, "I was wrong."
"So it seems," he pressed the button on the side of his helmet relaying into coms his location and that he found the traitor.
He took his helmet off and put another toothpick into his mouth, Now what? He stared at you taking in every color in your eyes, the shape of your lips, face and every curve of your body. "Crosshair."
"What?" You asked getting pulled out of your thoughts back towards him, taking in the slender shape of his face and nose, the bold cut of his nose and jaw and the harsh shape of his cheek bones and the target tattoo of his eye. Then you saw the fresh scarring across the side of his head, He's a clone, your eyes went wide for a moment. He can't be.
"That's my name."
"I don't care," you fronted pulling your eyes back to the forest but you still told him your name to be respectful, "Not that it matters, we won't be mates for much longer anyway," you said kicking dust up, "Should have just gone down with my ship, better death then whatever the empire has planned," you muttered, walking away and sitting against then rock of the cave. You heard him follow you and sat directly in front of you, "What are you staring at Imp?" You growled.
"You."
You rolled your eyes, you knew he couldn't help it. The bond tugging you both together and now it be just a matter of time to either satisfy the carnal urge or reject one another and forever be broken and hollow, which for him probably wouldn't be much more than what he already is. You looked over to see the Empire approaching, never thought I'd live to see the day where I was happy to see them. You stood up wiping the dusk off your butt when you found him directly in front of you his chest nearly touching you, you tried to push him away but he grabbed your wrist and quickly kissed you before releasing you. You wiped your mouth but the damage had already been done, he'd initiated the bond.
"Trust me," he said spitting out the toothpick and putting his helmet back on moments before others had arrived.
Another trooper walked up, cuffing you and shoving your towards the ship. Reluctantly after he pressed a blaster into your back making you start walking towards it. You got into the ship and the trooper clipped your restraints to the bar. Crosshair stood in front of you staring down at you the whole flight. When the ship landed where they took you he grabbed the cuffs and yanked you out of the ship into the building pushing you into an office making your nearly fall into the desk.
"So where's the chip," you looked up to find Rampart smiling at you, "I assume you didn't find it on her or her belongings."
"No, sir."
"I assume you know what comes next?" Rampart said eyeing your controlled composure staring down at him.
"I'll save you the trouble, we both know I won't talk so why bother torturing me?"
"We have new ways of making people talk," he said clipped, "CT-9904 care to explain to me why you initiated the bond?" He said eyeing Crosshair, playing the hologram of the kiss and switched it off.
Crosshair calmly took off his helmet smirking, "Leverage over her. If you can't make her talk the bond could eventually be used to torture her," You looked at him with disgust, you tried to swing at him but he caught the cuffs, "After that I don't care what you do to her," he said coldly.
"She's your mate," Rampart said interestingly.
"I'm a loyal soldier to the Empire," he said shoving you back, not flinching when you fell on your ass, "I will use all of the tools in my disposal to get results."
"I hope my faith in your resolve is warranted. Take her to holding... Keep on eye on her."
Crosshair put his helmet back on, "Yes, Sir," he grabbed your cuffs and pulled you down the hall towards holding which was seemingly next to his room. His eyes flashed up to the cameras closely watching him. He shoved you into the holding cell next to his room and put the ray shield up, "You have 2 days to talk or were both going to be miserable," he growled. Two days to figure out how to get her out of here. Per his normal routine he went down to the mess to grab food and sit noting the whispers had already started.
"His mate is a traitor just like his brothers," he heard a reg snicker, "I bet he's going to defect when they kill her." Crosshair took off his helmet feigning ignorance at the comments and ate his food trying to figure out a plan to keep his mind from wandering to you or what they were going to do with you.
Trust me? As if. You heard the restraints pop off and a bed slide of the wall and a mini refresher come up from the floor with a tiny privacy wall. You moved and laid on the bed staring at the ceiling wondering how you were going to get out of here or if they would be coming even though you told them not too. They'll come loyalty, is everything. Just have to stay alive. Foot steps drew your attention to Crosshair standing at the ray shield with a tray of food.
He put the food on the ground next to the bed, "Be prepared, it's going to hurt," he whispered almost inaudibly that you would have sworn it came from a ghost. He backed out of the room and saw the interrogation droid stick the person in the cell across from you, the person convulsed and then screamed. Crosshair couldn't look at you again, he silently prayed to the maker if you were anything like him you would survive. He walked into his room and sat against the wall laying his head against the wall separated the both of you. What are you doing Crosshair? You don't even know her. You are a soldier. She is the enemy. Soulmate or not. The tug on the wall told his brain a different story.
You felt the tug to the wall behind you, you picked up your food and moved to that spot to eat. You knew he was sitting on the other side of that wall. You already despised him and everything he was but that little tug was the only comfort in the same white room waiting to seal your fate. You sat here eating listening to the screams of the other person across from you getting asked the same question you probably would be 'Where are they?'. They didn't talk and neither would you when it was your turn. You were fast asleep when the alarm started blazing to a familiar face standing in front of you.
"We have to go," he said tugging your arm.
You launch to your feet, "Hunter," the growl comes from behind you.
Both of you stop for a moment seeing Crosshair standing in the hall glaring and his rifle aimed at him.
"You know him?" You asked confused but Hunter was already running again and you heard Crosshair's footsteps chasing behind you and stun bolts go past.
Wrecker and Echo started laying cover fire while Tech was preparing the ship to go, "Take my mate and I'll kill you." The firing stopped everyone staring at him, as his finger switched the gun from stun to blast. The rage boiling over in his eyes.
"Either you're coming with us or reject her now," Hunter glared holding your tighter preparing to throw you in the ship if he chose the latter.
Crosshair stared back at the hall hearing the foot steps of the clone and storm troopers coming. He tossed the rifle to Wrecker and boarded.
"That was unexpected," Tech muttered taking off looking back for a moment at how defensively Hunter holding you while staring down Crosshair.
You grabbed Hunter by the ear and brought him eye level, "Okay bandana, start talking. How do you know him," you let go of his ear giving it a small kiss but still stared angrily at him.
"The Kaminoans was originally made four of us, enhanced clones as you know. Hunter, Wrecker, myself and Crosshair towards the end of the war Echo joined us but to stay on subject when the war ended order 66 was declared the four of defected but Crosshair remained loyal to the empire and stayed. We gave him a chance to leave with us awhile ago and he didn't," Tech said aloud enough for you all to hear.
"How did you not know?" You said pointing to the very obvious mark on your palm, your eyes slitting at him.
"Crosshair is... private, he never takes his blacks or gloves off and never showered with the rest of us."
"You weren't loyal to me and neither was she," Crosshair let out one harsh laugh, sitting down in the familiar seats.
"Her virtue is still intact," Tech called back.
"TECH!" you yelled your face flushing a new shade of red.
"I can fix that," Hunter jokingly before getting serious again, "Tech is correct however, Crosshair."
Hunter and Crosshair returned to glaring at each other, "Both of you knock it off. Speaking of which, where's Omega?" your eyes went wide noticing the missing member.
"She is safe," Echo said taking a seat watching the scene unfold, "Speaking of which what do we do with him? None of us trust him."
"You can drop the three of us off somewhere to... figure this out," Hunter offered said looking at you and the conflicting across your face staring between the two of them, "Do you initiate the bond," Hunter said glaring at him recognizing the territorial posture and rage.
"He kissed me," you felt Hunter go rigid knowing what needs to happen next, he looked at Crosshair's smug expression and balled his fist taking a deep breath relaxing.
"I was going to use it to get her out before you showed up."
"Probably use her while you were at it," Hunter snapped, "Tech are we far enough away from the Empire yet?" He said kissing the top of your head before walking towards the cockpit with Tech and Wrecker, watching Echo get up practically running after him leaving you and Crosshair alone together.
You took the seat across from him, "Being in this... line of work, I never expected to meet you."
"Why haven't you rejected me," he asked flatly.
"You were made for me, I want to know why," you said squinting at him, "and I think I was wrong to judge you so fast," you saw his eyebrow raise, "After seeing me with Hunter you still chose to come but you didn't go with them when they offered... I think this bond means more to you then they know because it's little piece of yourself you've guarded even from them."
He sneered putting a toothpick in his mouth watching you eye them, curiously he offered you one watching you put one in your mouth.
"I sort of see it now," Hunter said watching from the doorway walking over sitting next to you, "You have a point."
"Aren't you betraying your mate too, Hunter," Crosshair growled.
"She's.. gone," you said for him watching Hunter pale, you grabbed his head and laid it on your shoulder, "Thanks to your empire," you added.
"I'm- sorry," Crosshair gridded out, staring at the both of you. He saw pain playing out across Hunter's face then wondered if he would be in that position if they hadn't gotten you out as fast as they did, "Thank you," he forced himself to before staring at the ceiling, not feeling the for what needed to be said. The only plain had use was using the bond knowing if you needed medical attention and snuck you out that way but that was slim at best.
Hunter gave a stiff nod, he raised his nose to your neck sniffing it. The smell was comforting to him, calming but pulled away not wanting to make it worse for Crosshair. "You can take my bunk if you want to sleep so Crosshair can have his back, I know I woke you."
The mention of sleep had you yawning, "Don't you need to sleep too?" You asked.
"Maybe if you asked nicely I'll join you," Hunter felt the death stare from Crosshair, "I need to talk to them about what we're going to and when we can retrieve the data."
"What's on it?" Crosshair asked still staring.
"None of your business," Hunter quickly retorted, "bantha in the room, none of us trust you."
You took the tooth pick out of your mouth to kiss his cheek, "I'm going to back to bed," you said heading towards the bunks feeling Crosshair follow after you, "Let me grab my stuff," you said grabbing the pile of blankets off the bed besides the black one that the bunks came with.
"How long have you and Hunter be seeing each other?" He asked.
"Working together? Almost two months. Romantically? A couple weeks give or take rotations."
"You two really haven't..."
You felt him right behind you, "No."
"Have you thought about it?"
"Maker, Crosshair," you said turning around finding his armor just an inch away from you. You looked up into his piercing strongly brewed caf color eyes. You burned your gaze back at him watching the ice in them melt, "You were my first kiss, if you'd even consider that a kiss."
"And you were mine."
You watched him maneuver around you staying in his armor climbed in the bunk, you watched him relax in it before he noticed pulling the privacy curtain shut. You put the blankets on the bed digging around your tiny trunk by his feet for some basics to get out of the uniform they put you in.
"Go to the refresher, what if someone sees-" Crosshair said pulling the curtain back and quickly closing it seeing your bare back.
You kept quiet, "It's not like there's anyone but us in here," climbed into the bunk curling up into the blankets, their nice warm embrace lulling you back to sleep.
Hunter paced back and forth, "I think it would be for the best if the three of us deal with this while you three get the data card back to Rex."
"Seriously, what's the chance the girl you like ends up being one of our mates," Wrecker laughed.
"Slim, almost zero given how many people their are in the universe... I am thoroughly surprised," Tech replied, "But I do concur the three of you should take... a short shore leave. Especially if he did initiate it their both going to be... irritable," he offered.
"He's already irritable," Hunter scowled.
"That is his personality."
"We have a fun few hours until sun up, I'm going to try to sleep. Try to drop us somewhere... safe? I'm stealing your bunk," Hunter said to Tech yawning, not that he wanted to sleep but he wanted be fully alert for whatever hell that was going to break.
Hunter found Crosshair's privacy curtain half pulled watching you sleep, "So you wouldn't come home for your brothers but you would come home for her."
"Go away."
"Why didn't you tell us how much it meant to you?"
"What difference would it have made?"
"We could have been trying to find her for you."
"If both of you don't shut up and sleep, I will get up and smother both of you," you muttered turning up and glaring at each of them.
"Mesh'la," Hunter said apologetically, "Sorry for waking you again," he turned his back to Crosshair and climbed into Tech's messy bunk.
"We'll figure this out," you whispered just so Hunter could hear, "The data is on the planet I crashed on, Rampart really wants it back." You finally got to sleep after hearing them softly snore knowing.
Crosshair woke first burying his palms in eyes before sitting up on the bunk and staring at you putting his arms on his lap. He stared down at the armor, the black that tarnished his soul and mind. He peeled it off leaving it on the floor. Out of the peripheral corner of his eyes he saw Hunter one eyed watching him, his hand pointing to Crosshair's weapon case tucked away in the corner. As quietly as he could, he unburied it and moved it to his bunk, wiping the dust off of it before opening it. It wasn't his full set of armor but pieces of it and his helmet, along with two extra rifles, his cleaning kit and paint. He must have sat there staring at it until you woke up, the rustling of the blankets finally pulling him out of his thoughts.
You wiped your eyes and looked at the figure before you the plain blacks revealing everything and nothing at the same time, slender muscle tone but not an inch of skin besides his head. His biceps were strong but lean and his thighs were slender but laced with muscle. You blinked several times and forced your stared at the ceiling of the bunk, It's just the bond. He is hot as a planet with two suns. He was made for me, of course he would be hot. It's just the bond wanting to be completed; the urges aren't mine.
"If he wasn't yours, I would be jealous," Hunter said crunching down in front of your bunk smelling the pheromones rolling off of you, "It smells nice."
"Not my fault," you groaned sitting up accidentally putting him right between your legs, watching him flusteredly stand up, "Sorry, it was that or accidentally kick you."
"Should have kicked him," Crosshair glowered.
"You've obviously never been kicked by her before," he said, "I'll make breakfast, we should be landing soon. Getting some fresh air might... help," he said gently caressing your cheek, "and maybe a shower."
You played smacked his hand away, "Yeah, yeah yeah, Mr. Smell's everything, I'll go attempt to freshen up so I'm not a burden on your senses."
"Oh, Mesh'la, it's not a burden. I just wish it was me causing the reaction," he countered playfully rubbing his hand smiling as he headed to get food.
You rolled your eyes, you took off your shirt leaving you in your chest band and took your pants just leaving the shorts on as you dug through your clothes, "Are we going casual or suited?" you called.
"Both!"
You groaned, "I don't ever get to wear something nice."
Crosshair defensively got up and turned his back, "Seriously," he hissed.
"For makers sake!" You said shoving him off balance, the touch sending a little currant down you. He turned back and finding your hands on your hips scowling at him, "Can you resist the urge for one farking rotation? We are both aware there is no such thing as privacy especially here."
"You don't have no problem when Hunter does."
"I know Hunter, I don't know you," you growled back.
"You don't know them, their not who you think they are."
"You're not who I thought you were either," you said shoving him again, "I was expecting my mate to be loyal, independent, does the right thing not some dogmatic cynical hard-nose. I have no idea why fate put us together, at this point it's almost a sick joke."
"You are just like him," Tech said observing both of you, "Direct, unyielding, hard headed," Tech said looking at him for a moment, "defiant, temperamental, persevering but I digress. It may seem like an odd match to you but it was the most logical choice. Unlike the rest of us, he was effected by the chip. We are unaware of it's lasting effects after it's been removed, I am unaware of what was him and what not but I have a pretty good assumption. As much I don't agree with him, he did abandon the Empire on a moments noticed perhaps meeting you changed things. We shall see or we'll be having to rescue you again."
"Do you always talk so much," you squinted, "Even though you're right."
"Yes," Crosshair said bitterly.
"Obviously," Tech said fidgeting with his goggles, "You should go use the refresher," He said noticing the pile of clothing in your hand, "I must talk with him alone."
"No I was not looking-" you heard Tech say as you left.  You rolled your eyes quickly slipping into the refresher. Tossing off the rest of the garments finding the obvious big soaking spot that would have been noticeable to both of them. Getting into the shower you could feel the cramping begin in your lower half, "Not right now," you muttered, Sorry Hunter, you thought to your self gently lifting your leg resting your toes on the wall plunging your fingers in. "Fark," you whispered feeling how soaked you were. You let your thumb circle your swollen discolored clit as you aggressively soaked your walls until you found the squishy part at the weird angle you were standing at. You're head leaned back against the wall letting you relax into the pleasure. Bringing your free hand to your nipple you gently rolled it between your fingers with a tug here and there. Your mind kept wondering back to Crosshair's eyes, the spearing dangerous shade of brown and perfect shape of his body. Quickly bringing your fingers to your mouth to bite them as you felt the rush cascade down you and the cramping subside. Twitching you took out your fingers and grabbed the soap to thoroughly wash every inch of you.
Hunter planted himself in a seat and sealed his helmet on which was made with a small filter to help prevent his sensory overload but he could hear your heart racing and the warning. He gripped the arms of the seat, listening to the quiet whimpers and sounds of your fingers satisfying you.
"What is it?" He heard Crosshair ask squinting at him.
"Back cramp," Hunter lied forcing himself to stand up then quickly sat feeling the obvious reaction shift in his pants.
Crosshair noticed it, "Can you hide it better" he growled, "She's mine."
"Crosshair," Hunter heard the tiny plea on your lips before he heard you sink back against the wall.
"I know," Hunter muttered taking a deep breath the scent finally letting up, relaxing into the chair, "That's the only reason I haven't gone in there," he said undoing his helmet using his gloves to wipe the faint sweat at the corner of his temples.
You quickly dried off and got changed spraying yourself down with a little perfume to at least help mask the scent that was surely coming off of you. The moment you open the door you found both of their eyes on you and your face flashed red assuming them both know. Crosshair took four long strides across the floor covering you with his body and both of his arms pinning your shoulders to the wall.
"Couldn't you have waited until we landed?" He asked.
"Mad I didn't invite you?" You said angering noticing how close his hands were pulling your shoulders closer together to keep from any accidental touching, "Maybe I'll just invite both of you next time."
Crosshair punched the wall next you adjusting his legs to hide the erection pressing against his cod piece his breathing getting ragged, "Sorry."
"I know... it's the bond," you muttered not being phased, "I would have done the same."
"Told you it's the logical choice," you heard Tech say scanning the both of you, "Both of your core body temperatures have increased by one point three and perspiration by ten percent, you two should refrain from touching or it's going to get more... insufferable," Tech offered putting the pad back on his belt.
"I'm not a test subject," Crosshair affirmed pulling himself away from you.
"Technically you are," which earned Tech a grimace from both of you.
"Whatever, do you have my pack ready?" You asked folding your arms over your chest.
"Yes, it is a little bigger then the last one however and a DC-15A, it's longer then your last one but it shouldn't be a problem... I should have noticed the obvious connection earlier," Tech said looking between the two of you, "apologies," he coughed feeling stupid for not noticing the obvious.
"Says more about Hunter then it does you," Crosshair said sulking back to his bunk putting his helmet on.
"We're getting ready to land," they all heard Echo say via the com.
Hunter finally got up and followed after Crosshair, "Did you have to punch the ship?" he scowled.
"It was the ship or you."
"Even if she asked I wouldn't have until you two figured it out."
"Oh then you would have," Crosshair begrudged.
"That's not what I meant-."
"Do what you want, it's not like she's interested in me... I'm just a black dog," he got up and angrily shoulder checked him to go stand next to the loading door waiting to get off the ship.
"Crosshair," you said following after him feeling Hunter catch your arm, "Give him a couple minutes first," you pulled your arm out of his hold, "I got this." You walked back there and grabbed his shoulder plate and spun him into the wall this time.
"What."
"Prove me your not one. Tell me one compromising thing."
Crosshair squinted at you trying to figure out if you meant about the Empire or himself. She's your mate, she means you, "I.. like to dance," he whispered knowing it wouldn't save him from Hunter's hearing, "I've always wanted to dance with someone." He tighten his jaw seeing the shocked expression on your face thinking he assumed wrong.
You dropped your arms watching the mild panic at the confession in his eyes, "I've always wanted to be kissed up in the trees watching the sunset," you whispered back. You saw his gloved hand hover next to your face asking silent permission, you gave a sniff nod, feeling his hand gently touch you. You relaxed at the sensation thankful for the thick material protecting you from the electricity of the touch and watched him lean down next to your ear, "Thank you," he whispered pulling away from you.
"It was fair," you countered feeling uncomfortable about telling him something so intimate, your face flushing again. "We should grab our stuff," you said quickly walking away from him finding Tech bent over your pack making the final touches.
"So what were you?" Crosshair asked you watching on quickly you put on the jet pack with ease.
"I think that's obvious," you said tapping the pack with your knuckles, "I taught people how to fly," you said bluntly, "The empire took an interest in that and I exploited it for the information on that drive then you had the pleasure of shooting me down and here we are," you watch Hunter toss you a bag and your discreet rifle case in the shape of an instrument, "So where are we staying?"
"Hotel on the outskirts of town."
"How many rooms?" You apprehensively.
"Three, I'm not stupid," Hunter laughed, "but just knock if you get lonely or can't sleep," he winked, Maybe he has changed because I would have punched me by now, "Anyway, figured we can drink, maybe see how your skills compare, fun stuff," Hunter shrugged.
"Think he'll scream if I play drop him?" You asked, fingers tracing over the pack.
"Saving Echo we had to jump from a height that would kill you unto a moving animal. The fear has been trained out of us, but doesn't hurt to try," Hunter chuckled.
"Heh," Crosshair laughed crudely, "Go ahead."
The ramp fell exposing a pretty empty space port. You waved back to Wrecker and Echo who were watching the three of you leave. Hunter lead the way, the both of you keeping an arms length apart but you noticed Crosshair start hovering closer anytime Hunter got close. The hotel was dingy but definitely off of anyone's radar. Hunter handed you a key card and pointed at the middle room with him and Crosshair taking the rooms on either side.
"What are we doing first?" You asked.
"Figured we could drink then I could stalk you two from afar," Hunter admired, "Just because he needs a chaperone."
"Funny."
"Missed you too, Crosshair," Hunter said keying his door to drop off his stuff.
You keyed your door in finding a comfortable little bed but thankful you packed an extra blanket. You did the general sweep of the room looking for bugs and cameras before moving on and checking the refresher. It was also small but it at least had a little more privacy then the Marauder even if Crosshair's room was on the other side. You found them both already standing outside waiting quickly noticing Crosshairs bare hands and the very visible mark. That's going to get some stares if Hunter's flirting with me. Maybe drinking this early in the day is a good idea after all.
"So dancing?" Hunter asking poking the gundark.
"Shut up," Crosshair snapped.
"I was going to say you should have brought your gloves, where we going as a dance floor like 79's," Hunter said defensively.
"There in my pocket."
"She likes to dance," Hunter smiled enjoying watching crimson blush.
"Oh?" Crosshair asked intrigued.
"She get's real fun after a couple of drinks."
"Hunter!" you said glaring.
He stopped to grabbed your hand kissing it, "Sorry, not sorry, Mesh'la," ignoring Crosshair's daggers, "Just trying to help."
Crosshair squinted at him, does he just have a death wish. He looked at how red you were. A smile tugged at a single corner of his mouth. Crosshair followed the both of you into the already dark lit cantina with people already on the dance floor already hammered. He followed Hunter who was dragging you by the hand to a booth small positioning for you to go in first.
"I'll be at the bar, but I'll be stealing you for a dance after a couple rounds," he said winking leaving the two of you there.
You raised an eyebrow at him watching him walk off, "I think the pheromones are getting to him."
"He's not normally like this?" Crosshair asked, watching you shake your head.
A bartender droid came over and pour both of you four shots before moving to the next table. Both you automatically took the first shot, then the second shot.
"Why didn't you go with your squad?" You asked.
"That's a long story."
"Humor me."
"Loyalty was suppose to be everything, we live and would die for each other. My chip activated... they didn't try to save me from it. I was forced to try to terminate them, something I thought they knew I would never do. They... experiment on me turning the chip up... I didn't have a choice," Crosshair ran his finger around the rim of the third shot and slammed it back, "Finally after getting burnt in that last attempt to terminate them, they had to remove the chip because it was scorched. I could have killed them on several occasions after that and I didn't. Even after saving Omega they still pointed their weapons at me. In the end there was no loyalty, no understanding, no trust, nothing."
You slumped back in your seat staring at him and the sullen expression on his face realizing none of it was a lie. He didn't look at you or at Hunter who heard every painful word.
Grabbing the third shot and slammed it back, "That would have broken me."
"It did."
"Why did you stay with the empire?" you asked.
He slammed the fourth shot and the bartender droid over getting four more. He smiled knowing he was probably going to drink you under the table at the shocked expression on your face. He took the fifth one before answering.
"I spent my whole childhood and early adult life living with people who lied to me who's hands I constantly put my life in. At least with the empire I knew that they were going to continue to experiment on me and exploit my abilities. I rather know where I stand and know the knife in my back is coming. I am a soldier, war and fighting is all I've ever known. I didn't want to spend my life hiding in the sewers like a womp rat. I was designed for a purpose."
You took the fourth shot stacking all of them at the edge of the table, "I misjudged you," you said looking at him, the hand under his chin supporting him as he stared down into his glasses and the bond telling you none of it was a lie.
"I'm still a black dog."
"You are what they made you."
Crosshair looked up at you through his lashes at the conflicted pained look across your face staring, "Don't pity me," he growled looking back down.
"I don't," you said taking another one, "So why did you come with me?"
"Loyalty," he said laughing, "I've always been loyal to this bond... just to find my mate with my brother," the laugh turned bitter and abruptly ended.
"I didn't want to bring a civvie into this," you whispered.
"You should have know if I was anything like you, I wasn't."
"Add that to my list of recent failures," you mumbled staring at the dance floor, "Do you want to dance?"
"I'll watch your drinks," Hunter said appearing at the end of the table. Finally hearing Crosshair's story made him realize the failures they were, he gritted his teeth and kissed your temple, "It's okay," he grabbed both of your hands shoved them together before Crosshair had time to slip his gloves on, "He deserves this," he listened to the rapid change in both of your heart beats, "Per Tech's instructions I was testing you with the off handed comments to see if you'd snap."
"I figured," Crosshair said pulling back his hand sliding out of the seat, watching Hunter slide into the seat. He looked down at you waiting watching you stare at your hand, grabbing your arm as you shakily got up, "I got you."
You heart felt like it was thumping out of your chest but you let him guide you to the dance floor, you saw his hesitation about giving you his hand again knowing it was just going to make the pull stronger. You forcibly grabbed it and put it around you, "Getting cold feet?" you asked sourly. You watched something in him snap.
His fingers buried themselves into your waist and upper back holding you taut against him making you look up at him, "I choose you over The Empire, over my purpose" his chest heaving as his breath tried to catch up his racing heart, "Why did you let me touch your face on the Marauder."
"It... felt like the right thing to do, I know how uncomfortable it made you feel," you untangled your arms from around his neck, both you staring to sway to the music. You felt him adjust his hold taking one arm off from around his neck both of you falling into quick steps in the movement following the rapid beat. It was ecstatic, and erotic the way he way to moved while his eyes never broke their gaze into you but never betraying what he was thinking about or what he felt.
Hunter could smell the pheromones from the booth, he looked down at the shots and helped himself knowing the night he was about to have. Every sentence replaying in his mind. After all of that he still would have let his mate chose me. He looked over at the dance flower watching how interlocked together they were not fumbling or stepping on each other feet just existing as one. Crosshair's face betrayed nothing, no warmth or cold but Hunter could see everything in his eyes as he looked at her. Hunter called the droid over and paid the bill before making his way over after a couple more songs seeing the sweat lining both of them.
"You two should get back to the hotel, the smell is insufferable so I can only imagine..." He watch the sniper's eyes squint to those of a predatory beast waiting to lung at his prey with a quick snap of his jaw to the throat, "Crosshair..." he said putting his hands up taking a very slow step back, "Time's up," seeing the quick territorial maneuver of putting you behind him and hard his chest was heaving with each breath. Hunter knew Crosshair saw him as threat and knew just what his brother was capable of, he took another step back watching him relax faintly.
Crosshair looked over his shoulder down at you, "Is that what you want?" he asked, "because you can reject me now-" it hurt to say but even after laying his soul bare for you he didn't want to force you to pick him knew Hunter was right there was no more time the countdown demanded an answer. He saw the soundless words from your lips, 'Bond with me.' His fingers dug tighter into you and his jaw tightened, his body screaming to have you right there on the dance floor, right for every and him to see. Compose yourself, he seethed to himself, I've ran with broken bones, stared down tanks, and jump from heights, I am a soldier I can wait. He picked you up knowing his restraint was probably better then yours.
"Someone find their mate?" Someone asked Hunter as he chuckled watching him walk away with her cover his shoulders.
"Yeah, my brother."
"Might want to steer clear for the rest of the day."
"You have know idea," he laughed the still being able to smell them, he followed after them reluctantly so he could grab his helmet from his room.
"Crosshair.."
"Yes?"
"How much further?"
Crosshair grinned that he was right, he pulled you down enough letting to wrap your legs around his waist letting his forearm support your but as he fiddled in his pocket for the key, "We're here," he said putting the card to the door and shoving it open.
He gently set you down and you bolted to the refresher leaving the door open and a trail of clothing in your wake until you were just in your chest band and under wear. You quickly flipped on the shower to cold water and put yourself in it. Your body felt like it was burning in every way imaginable and the cold water helped the pain, "They should really write a manual for this," you groan seeing him in the door way down to his blacks and then mess of clothes already folded by the door.
"They did," he quipped taking off his shirt using it to pat the sweat off of him. He joined you in the shower his pants getting soaked but the cool water revealing the burn. His hand snaked around you, fumbled for a moment taking off the bra, "Better?" He ask pressing his chest into your back lining the back of neck with kissed every kissing sending a fresh wave of goosebumps down him.
"Mhm."
"It was hard not to join after noticing Hunter's reactions."
"I shouldn't have made that comment..." you mumbled a wave a regret hitting you as you realizing you were in the shower, "I have no idea how you tolerated that."
Crosshair grabbed your hips and spun you around pulling down your underwear eyeing you the whole time, "Loyalty, I would have respected if you chose him." His eyes dropped noticing the shine clinging to your thighs. He reached out and shut off the water them got down on knees in front of you, "Trust me."
You looked down at him,"Crosshair..." your voice was pleading. He moved himself closer to you and pulled one leg over his shoulder stressing you, "I got you," he whispered.
He pressed his tongue to your clit moving it up and down you, letting tongue trail down just far enough to taste how wet you were. You gasped grabbing the side of head seeing him flinch realizing it was over his scar. You thumbed over it gently watching him shut his eyes tightly just feeling the sensation of you touching him where once upon he was a different better man not the empire's beast. "You're handsome to me." You watched him open his eyes staring into yours, the ice in the depths of his earthly irises dissolving a little further. You watched him move his mouth back to you putting his lips around yours not breaking eye contact for a second besides to blink. You feel his free hand trail slowly up your leg until his fingers were swirling around your entrance collecting your desperation for him on them before pushing two fingers in. You moan not being able to help the tiny arch your back did. His fingers slowly feeling around the ridges and curves of you eventually he found the spot causing you to moan his name. He started stroking the spot harder, when he felt your hand come to his shoulder and he paused.
"I want to you.." you got out the blush coming back.
"We're both soaked, we should dry off-"
"You can sleep in my bed tonight, just please," you were shaking, "Satisfy the bond," you pleaded.
Crosshair didn't need to be told again he took out his fingers feeling you twitch around them. He quickly stood him self up taking off the pants and discarding them there and picked up your burning body laying you on the bed. Your eyes tried down the length of him seeing the extremely hard mass hovering right before your entrance. How was he hiding that. You spread your legs a little further for him.
Crosshair stares at the half lidded expression on your face and the quiver of your lips, "This might hurt..."
You grabbed him causing him to jolt a little as you force his tip in. You watch his eyes change from soft to wild as he forces himself the rest of the way in, his name ripping it's self from your throat. He doesn't give you a chance to adjust to him before he starts moving, enjoying the way your nails dig into him and whimpers caused by every thrust. The carnal urge to have you and make you his flooding his logical brain. The soulmate bond, the most intimate thing in the galaxy finding the other half of your soul being to sense and feel them to have someone at your side you could fully trust but it brought out the hunger of the animal hidden in each of us. Crosshair already knew he was going to be an animal in bed but hated that the bond intensified that feeling but he loved the way it made him burn for you and having you feel the same for him after all he's done, a beautiful consequence of not satisfying bond the passion and need manifesting physically. He enjoyed feeling every thrust stretching you further to making him fit better. You shift making the head of his cock rub the spot every time he thrust and your pleading moans intensify. You watch his face seeing he needs this as much as you need it. He grabs one of your hands moving it to the scar as he lays one hand on the side of your face both of your arms visibly shaking. He keeps staring at you with every ounce of his need and want for you trying to convey the message that the only person in the galaxy who has his loyalty and heart is you.
"Crosshair..." you managed to get out before the orgasm takes you, causing you to tremble head to toe and squeeze into your self. Crosshair continues to pound you through it as he spills everything into you, your walls attempting to milk him for everything he had in him. He groans at the sensation just enjoying the high and being in you for yours. He lays his hips on your feeling you pulsate around him and the warmth of your clit on him, "You were made for me.." he whispered. Both of you still shaking as you feel the intense urge of the bond lessen just a bit, "and we're made for me," you smiled, "Do you want to try that kiss again?"
Crosshair smiled leaning down pressing his mouth against yours, moaning into your mouth at the sensation. Quickly he got better taking your lip between his feeling his dick getting hard again awhile still inside you. He continued to kiss you until then was groaning into his mouth feeling  his cock stretch you against him. You gently brought his head down leaving a trial of kisses across the scarred webbing before moving your mouth gently down to his throat taking a portion between your mouth and squeezing it together with your lips letting him gently rock his hips into yours. You looked at the already red bruise and moved to another spot making another one with your teeth. Crosshair was attempting to be patient while you claimed him but the moment your teeth were against his skin he returned the gesture. Each of you holding yourselves to each other throats leaving claim marks everywhere you could without disturbing the other. Sliding in and out, Crosshair lost sight of his focus as the feeling overwhelmed him again to have you. He pulled your mouth away from his neck to clash against your body better. Your hands thing time exploring his body learning it trying to commit every single thing about him to memory. He did the same, using one hand to hold himself up and other to run down your curves to fondle your breast watching your reaction to every touch seeing what you liked.
He stopped, "Was the information on the drive worth almost killing you?" he asked abruptly.
You blinked staring at him, the passion in his eyes but the fear too, "Yes," was all you could say.
Crosshair set the pace faster violently even slamming into you, the rage in him spilling over. He was brutal about his movements moving one hand to desperately cling onto yours. You didn't stop him. You knew what this was about, what he almost did and didn't even realize it at the time. You brought your knees to his hips letting your lower half gently slam into his thrust.  He shoved both of your hands deeper into the soaked bed the other hand on the back of your neck tilting just slightly so your forehead was rested against his. Your name snarled from his mouth as you felt him convulse and spill into you again. You gripped you his hand tighter pulling his head towards you unlike his pace had been his kisses were gentle and tender. The kisses where tender enough to make your walls flutter around him, you smiled as he seated himself all the way inside until everything was touching from your legs to lower stomachs. He didn't asked if you were okay, he knew you were built to take it to take him. He pulled himself out and leaned back on his heels staring at you laying there everything on display that made just for you him.
"I'm going to shower," he said looking down at the soaked state of his his crotch, abs and legs.
"Okay," you watched him get up and leave putting a tooth pick in his mouth hearing the water run
As warm as the bond felt you felt empty, Did he just satisfy the bond just to satisfy it? The question played through your head like a broken holo. Yeah the first time is usually fast and messy but it's usually by something warm and tender. You brought your eyes back from the closed door into the refresher sitting up feeling the cum drip down. You groaned, "Messy,' you got up grabbing the spare towel from the rack on the wall putting one end between your legs and the other to blot up the bed. The water was still running but no offer to join him came, you grabbed your clothes loosing putting on a layer before heading into your own room to use the refresher. You leaned against the wall of the shower quickly chasing the release Crosshair had started before he came, "fark," you panted. You took the soap and scrubbed yourself head to toe trying to distract yourself from the nagging thoughts. You shut the water off quickly drying the water off noticing the ache was still down there but it was definitely a lot more manageable. You stepped outside looking down to find a bundle of flowers waiting and Hunter in the distance with his arms crossed. You forced a smile placing them next to the bed. You joined him under the tree both of you just standing in silence until Crosshair joined.
"Done already?" Hunter asked arching an eyebrow.
"Yes."
You noticed this time Crosshair kept his distance, "Wonder what his problem is," you scowled.
"No idea but I would love to punch him," Hunter said in the same ton, "He didn't even take his time the second time and quickly ran off to clean himself."
"It's whatever, we're compatible but doesn't mean we're it into the same things," Hunter arched an eyebrow at your comment.
"He seems to like it rough, not that I apparently have a problem with rough... it just... wasn't what I thought it would be?" You said with a tiny shrug realizing how weird the conversation must have seemed.
"Crosshair has never been someone outwardly loveable person, just give him time. He probably has a lot on his mind, nearly shooting you down probably is at the top."
"I don't know, Hunter... it feels like something deeper is bothering him. I can't explain it."
Hunter side eyed his brother who was squinting at him already, "I think you're right," Hunter took a step away from you seeing his brother relax, "We didn't technically 'break up' before you two... bonded."
You looked back seeing him looking at you then at Hunter, "You should go talk to him," you watched Hunter turn around and walk towards him. You kept your distance watching it quickly turning into a shouting match and jogged over, "What the farking hell happened."
"I told him we were over, it was going fine and I suggested he try taking his time."
"He has not right to tell what to do my bond."
"I... talked to him about it," you said watching the rage in his face in his melt but you couldn't place it, "Once again he was just trying to help. Even though he wasn't asked too," you said pointedly, you tried to reach out and touch him but he moved away, "Crosshair-."
He turned back to the hotel, "Go away." Crosshair's eye stung feeling like a failure as both a man and a mate, "Next time screw Hunter," he growled, "Apparently he'll do it better."
"Crosshair!" He turned and glared at you, you felt what he was trying to hide and the faint red starting to stain in his sclera's, "I know you don't mean it." You watched him march, "Get back here you insufferable ass-" Hunter's arms were bear hugging you holding you in place.
"Mesh'la, let him-" you stomped his foot getting the point a crossed, he watching you run after him surprised that you actually got the drop on his feline reflexes.
You spun him and took to the ground yanking his wrist about his head pinning to him to the ground knowing damn well he easily could have tossed you off. You saw the two tiny tears roll down his check, his averted gaze and seething rage in them. In the bond you could feel it just at the edge of your own emotions, "Crosshair. Look at me." He didn't move then you shouted it at him, his gaze finally shifting to you. "I will let that comment slide because of the one I made. But I am your soulmate and we are bonded, don't you ever say something like that to me again," you growled at him.
"What if I do? I obviously can't pleasure you correctly," he snapped back, "maybe someone else should."
You brought your mouth down to his but he didn't kiss you back, "Fine," you said getting up and off him, "Run back to your precious little Empire with your Loyalty because it's obviously not to making this work." You got back to the hotel and slammed the door before falling to the ground crying.
"Don't you dare go back, Crosshair," Hunter yapped jogging past him, banging the door with his first, "Mesh'la," Hunter rested his forehead against the door feeling like this was all his fault for pushing them together not considering all the invisible scars Crosshair no doubtably had, "After..." the words snuck in his throat, "you helped me, let me help you." He heard the tiny movement and the door opened catching you falling again. He stroked your hair letting you sob yourself to sleep. Hunter carefully placed you in your bed tucking you in stroking the wetness off your cheeks, "I couldn't imagine a better pairing," he whispered. Hunter looked over seeing Crosshair sitting against the wall watching intensely but there was no hostility or angry just what Hunter could describe as thankfulness and longing.
"Tooka," he whispered sitting down next to him.
"Don't ruin this," Crosshair scowled leaning his head back watching you sleep.
Hunter nodded towards you with his chin, "Open up, be tender, and intimate. I know deep down you can be. The bond is still fresh, don't waste that being an ass because your scared to trust and love her. I know we messed up but she's not us," carefully Hunter got up watching his brother eye her hoping he would make the right choice, “Love her,” he whispered knowing he could hear him before disappearing into his own room putting his helmet on.
Crosshair eyed the flowers next to the bed with the words "Finding your other half makes you whole, enjoy each other. -Hunter." He hit his head lightly against the wall taking off his armor crawling into the bed with you entwining his limps with yours. He felt you stir at his presence and he pulled you harder against him, "This is what I should have done," he whispered putting his face in your neck giving each of the marks little kisses. He gently moved himself over you carefully to get the other side of your neck but before placing his forehead over yours giving it a little bump. He wrapped between you and the bed, holding you tight against his chest his other hand going to the back of your head, “I am trying” he gave your lips soft deliberate kisses, “I just… need time.”
You brought your fingers to his scar tracing it watching him close his eyes as you tilted his head to the side get a better look at it. Gently you brought his head down speckling it with even more kisses, “Show me your love this time..” you whispered. Carefully he pulled back undressing you, letting his hands massage down you as he worked off your clothes piece by piece. Ever so gently he placed more hickeys down your down, just faintly not as dark as the ones on your neck. Every mark felt like a physical representation of the unspoken verbal sentence hanging in the air. You ran your fingers across his scalp down his neck to his arms back up and then down his torso mesmerized by every muscle and scar lining his lean form.
His longing exhale set a warm tingle to your core, each touch still hummed with the faint electrical jolt of the bond making him have to bite down on his teeth to control the urgency of wanting to have you. She wants me to take my time with her, I will painstakingly long. Crosshair came back up from kissing down your legs seeing the need written across your face, “Want me to take care of you,” he whispered in your ear. He listen how you begged using his name. Quickly he took off his blacks moaning as his body was flesh against your, sneering for a moment about having to move as he lined himself up. He glided right in with your drenched slick coating him causing him to release a strained sound as your warmth squished him. I could see myself doing this again… on occasion. He stayed there breathing, one hand going to yours placing it in between your chests’ and the holding your head and keeping his weight on his elbow.
You stared up into into the depth of his eyes, this time he wasn’t hiding how he was feeling the pain, the rage, the softest tenderness and the yearning across his face. You thumbed over his slender nose to his cheek bone and up his ear to the back of his head. Just having him inside completing you made you hum with contentment and you knew he felt the same, “I don’t want you to go back…” you whispered feeling tears prickling at the corner of your eyes.
Crosshair leaned down kissing each side of your eye, "The only person or thing in this galaxy that has my loyalty is you,” then he gently starting thrusting while holding your lips in his.
