Paul Dini: When Bruce and I did the Harley and Ivy miniseries, it was certainly implied that [Ivy and Harley] had a relationship with each other—they shared hugs and kisses. I didn’t want that to overpower what the story was, but the relationship between them is so natural.
Tumblr media
Paul Dini: The more I worked with [Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy], the more I could see [a romantic relationship] happening. Unfortunately, at the time, in an animated kids cartoon, you really couldn’t get into the complexity of that or honor what a relationship like that could really be. We just showed them together as friends and on fairly intimate terms when they were out of the costume, but nothing was implicit because if we couldn’t do that relationship properly then we didn’t want to do it at all.

Harley Quinn: Mad Love (Novel) Written By: Pat Cadigan and Paul Dini
I am aware this last one isn't technically in the BTAS universe, but later on in the novel, it blends into the Mad Love comic/episode and then goes past it. I only used scenes that were originally featured in the comic/episode as they are just those scenes in a purely written form.
Harley Quinn: Mad Love (Novel) Pg. 261 He lowered his head and slumped, the very picture of dejection. Harley couldn’t stand to see him that way. She cuddled up next to him and took him in her arms. “I know how to make some smiles, puddin’,” she said in a playful, sultry voice. His whole body stiffened under her touch. “Puddin’?” But she knew it was hopeless; she’d done the wrong thing again. A moment later, he was leading her down the stairs by her nose, pinching it so hard between his thumb and forefinger that she cried out on every step. “Ow-ow-ow-ow-ow! That hurts! It really, really hurts! Please, puddin’—” He pinched even harder as he led her to the door, opened it, then turned her around. “How many times do I have to tell you?” he roared, applying his foot to her backside. “Don’t call me puddin’!” Harley scrambled to her feet just as he slammed the door in her face. She started to beg him to let her in but suddenly all the fight went out of her and she sank down to sit cross-legged in front of the door. Thrown out again; how many times was this? She’d lost count. No, she hadn’t. This was the twenty-fifth time. That averaged out at roughly three times a week for the past two months. - Harley Quinn: Mad Love (Novel) Pg. 255 “Hey, that’s a real gasser, ain’t it, Mistah J?” she said between giggles. In the next moment, Gordon thought the nitrous was making him hallucinate as events took a sharp turn into the surreal. The Joker grabbed the floppy points on Harley’s hat, pulling her to him so they were nose to nose. “I deliver the punchlines around here!” he bellowed into her face. “Got that?” “Yessir,” Harley Quinn said, her voice tiny and fearful. The Joker shoved her aside and the jolly Clown Prince of Crime persona was back.

i love listening to the mcelroy podcasts that seem to be like, more tangential to the big ones that everyone seems to focus on, and knowing jack shit about those like, no i dont know mbmbam or taz, im here to listen to sawbones and shmanners and go from there
#toy txt post#technically i think i listen to more smirl podcasts than mcelroy? between sawbones and then i occasionally dive into#still buffering or court appointed#i listened to the buffy episodes of whatever that was where travis and teresa reviewed like the first seasons kf some tv shows? i feel like#i have mbmbam on my list but the last time i tried to listen to it i just couldnt.#i think i watched some of the ones on youtube? i enjoyed those i think cos i could also like. see who was talking#i havent actually listened to griffin yet. i might give wonderful! a shot? maybe. im still catching up on shmanners#i know everyone loves those podcasts that are like. stories like taz and other dnd podcasts and those archives or whatever and like#listen. all of you are valid. but that is not what im here for. maybe in 3 yrs ill be ready for story podcasts who knows#but rn i just want...information.#listening to why are dads is fun but even that takes some effort. im definitely more excited about the ones about movies i at least know of#or have seen like i LOVE the batman returns ep.#anyway all this to say i started listening to the beatrix potter episode of shmanners and travis mcelroy was assigned cottagecore by#his wife teresa and it was SO funny to me and also. mood. me too buddy its okay i feel the same way everytime i put on a sweater lmao#also: i desperately want a sawbones crossover or something with this podcast will kill you. something. an interaction on twitter#im desperate. i want these shows to know Of Each Other. i want sydnee to know about tpwky and do a crossover ep and idk#have teylor help out with the quarantini planning. also im all caught up on tpwky and im sad about it.#i really enjoyed listening to the tpwky and then the sawbones for all the eps where they both covered that topic. if u like sawbones give#tpwky a try its like similar but without justin there being grossed out by parasites and instead its disease ecologists being like#'that is so COOL! Fandoms news?
Anonymous asked: Fandome news?
Black Adam: lol
Tumblr media
Flash Season 8: YEAH BABY. Haven't watched this show in years and don't imagine I'll be returning now but this is nice.
Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom: Wait, ep. 1's already dropped? This looks amazing.
Milestone: That program sounds good, and hell yes Brandon Thomas get that $$$
Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League: Still no gameplay after all these years since their last thing, incredible. And I guess it makes sense the costumes would be that dumb coming from the Arkham Knight people, but jeez.
Peacemaker: This should be fun!
Tumblr media
Superman stuff: Would have taken seeing a presumably new costume over a house tour, personally. And why do the stairs lead nowhere, why wouldn't you just build a house? The Supergirl farewell was sweet and I'd never heard the J'onn actor's real voice before, the My Adventures glimpse as miniscule as it was still got me even more excited, and the Smallville reunion was nice even if it pretty much shut down the prospect of an animated revival. As for the new motto, sure, fine, I won't complain if this sticks but also they keep flip-flopping and tinkering with this so I dunno that I really expect any permanence.
Doom Patrol: I'm the moron who's still only seen most of the first season - I'm not built for binging! - but overjoyed to hear it's continuing and that therefore I have more time to catch up.
The Flash: ...was that motherfucker wearing a choker as some kind of pun about how everyone associates him with choking a lady. Anyway this looks fine I guess, curious about the two Millers and the new suit is of course inevitably an improvement even if the helmet fits badly, but Jesus.
Injustice: I swear to god this took up 25% of the show
Blue Beetle/Batgirl: Curious about both of these
Monkey Prince: Hell yes, very glad to hear this is in fact panning out.
Batwoman: I watched the first 3 episodes of the show and even if it's improved in every other aspect I had to quit for my own health, every second Alice is onscreen I can feel my brain getting smoother, possibly the actual worst baddie in superhero mass-media
Catwoman: Hunted and other animated things next year: I suspect the actual story is gonna be kinda trash but visually this looks like a ton of fun. Dreading what a DTV CGI DC movie looks like.
Titans: Hilarious. I'm guessing they adapt the friggin' Tom King run next without Bruce ever suiting up, and in the background they'll do Judas Contract or some shit.
Tumblr media
Batman: Caped Crusader: Oh no this sounds kind of awful now. It really is modern Bruce Timm running the show with nobody telling him no, and that's real bad everybody, that's real, real bad. I initially thought this would be the prestige thing while My Adventures was the all-ages but still thought of internally as kiddie show, and I guess that's still probably true in a sense, but now I'm really thinking these two might turn out to be a "All-Star Superman was announced as a footnote to All-Star Batman & Robin" situation. Also it's funny they have to call this GRITTY, HARDCORE show Caped Crusader because they ran out of other nicknames.
Young Justice: Phantoms: fuck you
Naomi: Of course they weaseled out of using Hoechlin or Routh; shame the leak about Superman being a fictional character in that world and her meeting him being her door to the multiverse was fake.
Shazam! Fury of the Gods: Fully expect this to be great but wanted to smack Zachary Levi across the mouth when he declared the costumes 'upgraded'. I don't care how much they're paying you dude.
Wonder Woman stuff: I guess we've got one more Jenkins/Gadot movie to (judging by the last one) endure, and Trial of the Amazons I guess would be tentatively neat if there was any creative team announced.
Pennyworth: hahaha what
Tumblr media
The Batman: Oh I love this freak. Great across the board - it defamiliarizes Batman successfully, it looks slick as hell, and it balances the tone of utterly brutal and horrifying with Riddler leaving behind his logo in his coffee. My only complaints are:
* Sound mixing was a little rough with a couple lines.
* Not wild about Batman being to effortlessly tank infinite machinegun fire now.
* The unseen prisoner is clearly Riddler but a friend noted it kinda sounded like Kevin Conroy so if I was obsessed with Hurt turning out to be the big villain of this trilogy BEFORE
All in all, a couple obvious exceptions aside this was a huge letdown: tons of "Excited to get a glimpse of ______? Well, we'll have something to show you...someday!", bland retrospectives, and the smallest of announcements. This didn't even feel like a quantity over quality thing, just a shrug capped off by Batman.

TMNT being cancelled?
Guess I’m surprised cause there’s no official word. Second... I was hoping if they were planning to “end the series” to move to a movie at least do it evenly. I mean Nick we got 26 the first season. So its only fair season 2 gets an even 26 as well.
Am I mad? Not really, cause if Big Mama was their endgame for Splinter, I’d rather not dread the worse for the boys or for that matter more stupid love drama. I’m sorry I love this version but Nick or some shows in general seem to aim for love drama and it ruins the show/or characters for me. Star was ruined with that crappy love triangle/rectangle(being rushed), (starco people don’t start, I respect you love the ship. but the writers ruined the moment for me. Hard for me to root for a couple that hurt their partners and I’ll be honest the “best friend true love” trope’s been done a MILLION times. Sometimes I like it, sometimes I’m “ughhhhh again but I liked the other dude”) Korra... was that also damn love triangle I still can not look at Mako the same. with 12k version of TMNT it was that stupid love triangle they had to put with Casey/April/Donnie. Its the only time I had quit a turtle series and was actually sick and tired of Donnie. And before a shipper gets in my face let me not I did ship him and April before this series in 2003 version I thought the idea was cute. (Was really more of a Raph/April shipper but I digress). I only shipped her and Casey in the movie version. 2003 version was kinda not interested in them(same for the animated movie version) So I as I said love drama tends to ruin a character(s) for me or the story.
What did I want for the series before it ended
I wanted to see if Raph/Casey would still have that friendship dynamic. Every version for the most part has always had their special friendship.
Casey having girls night with April and Sunita
MEET APRIL’S PARENTS XD. The show acknowledge she has them. We were told she’s know the turtles for 5 years. Actually stating that I want a meet flashback ep. Little 11 yearold April being friends with them XD her meeting Splinter. Gah I can imagine the awesomeness!
Piebald, she was only given one ep. And Mikey tends to treat everyone like family XD. So kinda wish she’d come back and be part of this colorful family.
I wanted establish if the “mutants” could be returned to normal or not. I mean I dunno this story is different from the others. Draxum’s reformed kinda wondered if they would return the ones that want to be normal back to themselves.(or at least that poor kitten Mrs. Nubbins)
I kinda wanted Huginn and Muninn back. I dunno I thought they were cute little lackeys for Draxum. Again I can see Mikey offering them a “dog bed” they wanted so badly XD.
Speaking of characters... what happened to Mayhem? you’d think for the “finale” he’d be more useful than Big Mama (nick please drop that ship8P)
We didn’t get enough interaction with Baxter Stockboy/Stockman 8B.
Tang Shen, the fact that we didn’t give her a real character makes me disappointed. As I’ve said before would have loved her to come back, as either an old flame(whether just bitter ex, or the “one that got away), old co-worker, or one of the few people that knew about Yoshi’s calling. Seeing Yoshi’s grandfather made me imagine “what if she saw them have a fight... what if she tries to get him to talk to his grandfather.” or she chastized him for being selfish.
I wanted Bishop again and this time I want him as a villain. 2012′s version made me annoyed they wasted a good opportunity for a shady government character for a “oh yayz its another good guy”. You want another scary villain, in my opinion Bishop would be a good one.
Drop the Big Mama/Splinter thing. Seriously drop it, Big Mama has no real character (as a love interest). And I’ve seen couples were they dual with good & evil or whatever or maybe a better ref would be the “bad girl/boy”.Best example of that ship is Goldie/Scrooge, Batman with Catwoman/or Talia Al Ghul, Spiderman/Black Cat, Brock/ Moltov Cocktease (Venture Bros), to a degree Buffy/Angle/Spike(only 90s people know this ref), Lupin/Fujikio (though both are bad in some moral way) & Bulma/Vegeta, even 90s Xena and Gabrielle fell for a baddie now & then that got reformed for them. As a character Mama’s done nothing to prove to me she really loves Yoshi or his kids, the show knows she doesn’t care so her last scene doesn’t prove it to me. As a villain awesome. But is she Catwoman/or even a Goldie(Ducktales ref) nope. Archer’s more redeemable than her and he’s a selfish moron. (dont take that too personal I love that show but just admitting what he is). Don’t hate me shippers and yes I know I’ve said it more than once XD. But as I said some tropes work for me... and some don’t. This was one of them
We didn’t get Usagi crossover. (maybe if the movie proceedes they’ll do it for that) but we gotta have one 8B
Characters from the series I wanted either cameo or given more of a role Leatherhead, Klunk, & Jhanna. Would say whats her name Renet and the dino aliens but they’ve been done two times already, so while I’d like them as easter eggs or whatever kinda not gonna miss them.
More of Hamato Yoshi’s family, can’t really believe that Yoshi, his mother and grandfather were all that were left. Comic wise Hamato Yoshi does have a possible niece? So I dunno maybe they could give him a distant cousin.
Lastly tell us who Big Mama’s assistant was .We never got their name or who they are.... WHO WERE THEY?!!

Evan Evagora did an AMA involving the Star Trek Shitposting Facebook Group - the questions and answers below were copy/pasted direct from the collated master post. Evan is a member of the group, who participates under an unknown pseudonym.
———————————————
AMA Master Post!
Thanks so much to Evan Evagora for taking time out of his day for our AMA earlier. To make the questions and answers easier for ya'll to find, here they all are together below.
Q: How does my love of cats compare to Elnor?
A: Im actually more of a dog person, there was a scene that had Elnor and spot 2 unite briefly but unfortunately it didn’t leave the editing room
Q: How familiar was I with Star Trek before and did I have to do research?
A: I grew up with TNG, I’d have to say either worf, Guinan or Q are my favourite characters. And I was given episodes to watch that were to help with information before filming Picard
Q: How was I prepped to deal with the crazy fans?
A: I got told to join Star Trek shitposting 😉. Not but in all seriousness, it was Jonathan Frakes who gave me advice on entering the world of fandom from the other side and he said it’s been nothing short of a pleasure
Q: So if Hugh had survived would they have made out?
A: what happens on the cube stays on the cube
Q: My favourite moment of s1
A: getting to slice that romulans head off
Q: How did I hear about Star Trek shitposting?
A: most of the crew is either a part of the group or knows about, one of the amazing hair and make up ladies got me into I think my first or second day
Q: If I had to be Tuvixed with someone excluding elnor?
A: mirror verse Elnor, nah worf to be honest
Q: What is something I’d like to do in season 2
A: Id like to see Elnor and spot 2 together
Q: How am I passing my time woth quarantine?
A: ama for the gronp! Nah I’ve just been reading, writing and also the contact I’m having with the fans too has really helped a lot
Q: If I had to quarantine with any of my costars who would it be and why
A: I’d go with hardy treadaway he’s got the nicest place
Q: What am I hoping to see in Elnor’s future
A: Inner peace, contentment and possibly shorter hair?
Q: Am I intimidated by working on a show with such a big fan base?
A: no I grew up with Star Trek, you’re really in a bubble of filming when you’re making the show, it all didn’t really hit home until the first trailer at San Diego
Q: Would I consider playing Elnor as non binary
A: I’ve seen a lot of debate and discussion about not only my character but others in the series, if there is something that connects you with a character on this show and it resonates with you, even if it’s shown, not shown or hinted at I’m all for it. I am not for the constant belittlement, bullying and criticism of not only the characters on the show but also other fans. It really does break my heart reading comments where people aren’t welcoming of one another, because that is the whole reason why Trek has bought so many together and by spewing these disgusting cruel words out your not only showing the world you don’t understand the meaning behind the show, you also are destroying the thing that makes us all love it
Q: Is there Australia on romulas
A: yeah they have a down under I’m sure of it. No the accent can easily be explained with, Elnor left romulas at a young age, moved to a planet with different species and languages spoken so that influenced his accent
Q: Have I seen Elnor fan fiction and art?
A: yeah some of it has been really amazing! And some others have been...creative
Q: How excited am I to make home movies with my action figures?
A: my plan is to buy everyone’s, make them record audio and then film shit using the dolls and their voices
Q: Are you playing animal crossing?
A: I’ve preordered it because they’ve sold out here in aus, but in playing civ 6 to pass time and Mario party
Q: Did I get to try Romulan ale?
A: no I wish, I’m kind of hoping for a scene next year where Elnor gets drunk for the first time
Q: What character did I wish would appear in our show?
A: one word, one letter Q
Q: What’s my background have I been acting long?
A: Picard was my third acting gig, and the first project to release, so I have got some experience acting and I have previous work but it has either just aired or is going to next year
Q: Please my friend choose a charity you would like us to donate to
A: food bank
Q: Favourite ninja turtle
A: it’s always been Raph and always will be
Q: Do I know much about Elnors background
A: I know things that haven’t been mentioned yet, but also given his character is new and season 1 just finished, hopefully some of those things are explored
Q: How would o feel about the fan theory that Spock is my father
A: I mean, I’m not really sure, I can always shoot Ethan a message and ask him what he thinks too
Q: Which classic episode trope would I like to see?
A: mirror universe
Q: Can we look forward to more ninja representation?
A: is Elnor not enough? ☹️
Q: Were there any particular characters I drew inspiration from, any elves?
A: there’s a particular group of people I think Elnor might have been inspired from. Can I just say how cool it would be if Elnor is just cosplaying as an elf because Picard left him a copy of Lotr when he was young
Q: Would I be open to exploring Elnors sexuality in s2 and what would it be?
A: I am totally open for that, and as for Elnors sexuality, I’m not sure he’s only 17 he’s just left his planet and gone off on an adventure where he openly knew the success may lead in his death or others he hasn’t had time to figure himself out so seeing his sexuality explored would be amazing
Q: What stories did you hear about working on precious trek series from the OG actors?
A; So we found out Michael Dorn used to muddle his lines up because he was normally the last close up of the day. They used to put bets on to see how many takes he’d have to do. All I must add in very fun spirits nothing ever malicious or mean
Q: My long term career goals
A: id like to keep pursuing more roles I’m acting, I’m a big writer and have some projects I’m looking at getting created but right now I’d say I’m just here to learn and grow
Q: What do I write?
A: right now I’m working on three screenplays and two pilots most of the stuff I’ve written is just sitting on my hard drive just waiting to be used
Q: Ever fried an egg, buttered and vegemite'd some toast and eaten it like a sandwich?
A: what I just read, scared the crap out of me, I love vegemite but the most I’ll do is add cheese to it
Q: What is one of my favourite stories about s1
A: Jeri Ryan and I had a scene together in the borg cube (what a queen she made!) it was shooting at night and I think it was the final shot of the day, we couldn’t keep a straight face and just laughed through about fifteen takes
Q: Are you a big fan of fandom besides Trek?
A: Star Wars, lotr, the magician series Raymond e feist, a song of fire and ice series, avatar last air bender and legend of Korra (would love to play zuko) and of course Batman (fav Jason Todd as the hood)
Q: Could I see myself playing Elnor for six or seven years?
A: as long as there’s a good story that myself and fans will enjoy, but if it didn’t meet my expectations no. And also hopefully the writers and creators would want to
Q: My top TNG eps are in no particular order
I borg, all good things, tapestry, the measure of a man and all good things
I’ll also add I borg especially because it’s just cool seeing where Hugh began and how he ended up
Q: How did I land the role of Elnor?
A: I was on a break from filming Fantasy Island (a movie based off the old tv show) and I was home for pilot season which is when they cast for shows, I had two weeks of daily auditions before I was due to fly back and start filming again, two days before I was meant to leave I got an audition for Picard, the script had a code name and Elnors name was Kbar on it, but I was told it was Star Trek. I went into the room and thought I didn’t do a very good job, then I flew to film and two days later I was told I’ve made a list of people being considered, after a few more auditions and a couple of phone calls from producers and everything I found myself on a plane to LA five weeks later
Q: Have I made friends among the cast?
A: no, we tried really hard to become friends, but unfortunately we ended up becoming a family instead. Everything we say in interviews about us getting along is all true and not fake. I’m the newest to acting out of everyone so I was kind of of shocked to find out that how close we all are isn’t necessarily how it will be when I shoot other projects, so I think we just got lucky or they casted really well
Q: Have the Picard people seen your memes?
A: yes I’ve shown them the memes from the page, I’ve shown everyone including Patrick we find most of them funny (some shocking)
Not shocking in a bad way
Unexpected I should say
Q: How do I feel about the ears?
A: I wore them so much they came up in my dreams, but they were the easiest thing to apply onto me
Q: Which non tng character would I like to see return?
A: I wouldn’t mind seeing the doctor
Q: The most relatable Star Trek character?
A: Look for me growing up it was Wesley, i just picked anyone who was the young one. And I grew up with my sisters and was always being told I’m either wrong, an idiot or just to shut up
Q: Did I have previous martial arts experience before the show?
A: I have a background in boxing which helps when it comes to movement, reflexes and just all around fitness for stunts. I didn’t have any sword fighting experience before we began training for the show however
Q: How do you think being raised by an order of women affected Elnor?
A: I think it gave him a healthy understanding of not only the strength and resilience of women but I think he understands not only gender equality but just equality in general and I think that’s directly to do with growing up in a sect of all female warrior nuns
Q: What is a type of meme you would like to see more of in the group?

Teen Titans 1x01 Blind Reaction
I haven’t watched the OG Teen Titans yet. Sue me. I wasn’t allowed to watch cartoons as a kid so I’m playing catch-up here. As usual, spoilers and cursing under the cut! Also. apologies for the short sentences, it was like 3 am.
A disclaimer: This is entirely for fun and a lot of the comments I make are based on my preferences for media as well as the way I, as a writer, would have written things.
If I say something you disagree with (more likely in my analysis posts than my reactions) then I am more than happy to hear your opinions so long as you are respectful!
If you followed me for Detroit Evolution content I promise I’ll post the rest soon. Formatting and proofreading takes ages. I also might start liveblogging my adventures in screenwriting so look out for that!
That being said, let’s get into it!
[In brackets is added post-watch.]
Holy old animation Batman. It feels like Phineas and Ferb.
BB Sounds like Phineas.
The cheesy intro tho
Seriously which Robin is this cause I think it’s Dick but Idk
“Titans Go!”
The theme song is iconic
Love the OG Raven design
Is the theme Japanese?? It kinda feels Japanese
I love that Starfire’s outfit isn’t like literally a bikini it’s nice since she’s designed like a sixteen year old
Epic fight scene™️. Makes me feel like something’s going to go wrong.
“I am stronger than I look” fuck yeah Star get his ass
Honestly wtf Rob you’re like twelve and you don’t have powers??? Also is he wearing steel toe boots?? I thought they were converse at first. Seriously Batman, what’s with the child soldiers??
Cyborg?? I love him
Ouch that was a fail
Ok the bo staff is a Tim Drake signature as far as I know so wtf???? Which black haired mf is this???
It’s Dick. I googled. [I love DC and I realize that most of the Robins were designed before having diverse characters was a thing but literally they all look the same. Like personally I’d love to see a Romani or other non-white rep for Dick.
 {I gleefully return to this post with news that Dick is canonically Romani! He’s been played so often as white, including in the new Titans, which I will be making a post about, but he was confirmed to be poc in Devin Grayson’s Gotham Knights. He’s part Romani on his mother’s side. She, according to Tim Seeley’s twitter, is an immigrant. He was originally presented without a confirmed ethnicity! My apologies for being uninformed about this. I stated Romani specifically here before knowing because I had seen people talk about him as such and really enjoyed it.}
Maybe a mixed Jason? I feel like Tim is white mostly bc he’s rich IN GOTHAM,,, but like I never turn down the possibility of poc characters. Damian is canonically middle eastern so if I ever see a live action Damian not played by a middle eastern brown kid I’m rioting.]
What a petulant child. Blaming each other. Now they’re fighting. [This part feels very overdramatic to me personally. I do think that if this wasn’t animated it would be toned down quite a bit. That being said? I do think it’s in character for Dick, especially late Robin-era Dick, to have outbursts like that, especially as a character that I see as needing a lot of control.]
Oh wonderful. He quit. That’s overly dramatic.
Oh goddamn it Slade.
I’m not supposed to know he’s Slade yet tho huh. [Rip the element of surprise with that, I have a habit of learning everything from things before investing my time in it, and my obsession with other versions of DC comics isn’t helpful in this situation. Also the 25 pages of AO3 I’ve read about the Bats gives quite a bit away.]
Oh ew that’s a plasma monster
He looks like fuckin,,, Underbelly! that mf from the Red Hood/Arsenal comics. [Underbelly is the personification of the criminal world. I got through four RH/A comics as of posting this so once I finish that storyline I’ll probably post about it]
“It’s pointless to get upset about Cyborg” breaks glass. [I personally really fw Raven being like ‘master of meditation i feel nothing’ but then these dumbasses get all up in her brain and she ends up loving them like honestly that’s amazing]
“I’m fine” fucks up that punching bag. Master of emotions this bitch. [I don’t think that this little tantrum is entirely because Cyborg left. Again, Dick was raised by Batman, and neither of them are too good about losing control and fucking up. This to me is very much a mix of guilt for having driven away a friend and teammate, anger at Cyborg for leaving, and also anger at himself for a perceived failure. Bruce really needs to get his kids therapy bc the complexes are really shining through.]
Now they’re sad like bitch ur the one who kicked him out???
He’s eating something and it’s gross.
“That stuff can’t be good for you” Robin,,, sweaty,,,
The puns. Jeez Louise.
Immensely powerful half demon lady and the best you can do is some cans?? [Again with the things you shouldn’t know, Theo. Yeah I get that she’s still a kid and the demon lady thing isn’t exactly revealed yet, but I maintain that the barrels -- which I realized that they’re barrels not cans -- could be improved upon]
“You giant zit”??? A Child [Seriously how old is he because it’s concerning that he seems as young as he does. @ Bruce wtf did you do to your kids]
Phase three what an ominous asshole
Again with the puns Rob like jeez just fight this mf
Star,, you’re an alien?? Why are you screaming??
Both eyes on the road while flying Raven
He just extends the bo again bro what kinda bat bullshit is this
Cyborg saving the day!! We gotta love that. “Still got the sonic if you still got the boom” what kids I love them
I love that he just,, brought Cinderblock with him. He’s just that powerful.
Wtf is up with this knockoff Alfred mf with Slade? Also?? What stereotypical villain shit Slade step it up. [Titans (2018) Slade is like,,, so much better at this. Hell, even Arrow Slade is more nefarious.]
[I know it’s stupid to say this about an antagonist from a kids show vs two YA/Adult shows but like?? Titans Slade had the Motive, and Arrow Slade was Deep. In my defense here, I’m only on Ep 1, I’m sure he gets more interesting as the show progresses.
My non-sleep deprived rating? 9/10. Points off for melodrama but points on for nostalgia and attention grabbing. I’m not really into kids shows so I did my best to be fair despite that. Personally I think it’s a little much on the fighting especially for a pilot and it definitely seemed a little bit rushed. But, the animation is fun, I love the way each character is distinctive in costume and personality.
Keep in mind I prefer watching things with writing/pacing like Arrow, The Flash, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and the new Titans TV show and all of my ratings are going to be skewed based on a preference for stronger and darker material.
With that in mind, I did enjoy the episode and I do want to continue watching. I think if I had watched this as a 10-11 year old, it would’ve been amazing.]

So, you’ve probably seen the new ep on Harley Quinn. If so what r your thoughts?
Tumblr media
Season 2 so far was a meh. I was slightly mixed on it.
Spoiler Warning
Season 2 did focus more on the relationship between Harley and Poison Ivy which is something I like. As if the two of them would immediately get together during the first season. They showed how they met and how Harley did what she could to help Ivy (Though having Harley for a friend is draining in reality. Being involved with her and her toxic relationship, trying to force her out of it despite all the evidence she's being used).
Despite that, it all felt rushed. Harley easily taking down some of the top bad guys like it was nothing kinda made me lose interest (Especially when she didn't kill Riddler, but killed some of the others. It really pissed me off). The depictions of Barbara Gordon and Batman were pretty terrible. Yet again, I see this show as more of a satire on how absurd Batman villains are. It had this Birds of Prey vibe which also made me lose interest, but I couldn't get over how the show did Mr. Freeze. Still sympathetic and devoted to Nora, willing to give up his life for her. I actually cried.
The show did throw in a easter egg of Scarecrow's mask in the Catwoman episode. I wasn't really fond of that episode due to Ivy's obsession over Catwoman which I didn't like. It was nice to give Scarecrow a bit of love even though his death was stupid.
Now onto Bane. He seemed more of a muscleheaded child as he followed other villains and allowed them to belittle him. Though, they did show Bane to have no bias and wanting to aid others. I thought it was cute amd reminded me of my depiction of Bane in the Scareband ship. After he died, I just stopped. I was done. Nothing really left besides the cursing and violence.
Overall, I wasn't really into the second season. It was rushed and the bastardized some characters lost my attention. I mostly watched it for Mr. Freeze, Bane, and to see if Scarecrow returns. If you like the show still, it's fine, but I just lost interest.

So I binged RWBY season 7 today and made notes. Here are said notes and thoughts on the episodes!
So my notes will probably not be in any particular order because my brain hops from point to point and forward one and back three so sorry if it’s confusing!
Ep 1:
Qrow’s voice actor gave me a heart attack, I forgot they changed his voice actor. I honestly thought I was watching Darker than Black or My Hero Academia with his voice. But I like it! Jason Liebrecht is one of my favorite voice actors!
James Ironwood makes me so sad because I love him and he’s trying his best.
I had a problem initially with the animation of the fight scenes, I think they just seemed too… smeared? I can’t quite place it but I had a hard time keeping up with what moves the characters were performing.
I wish I could have seen the tuning of Maria’s eyes! I was getting serious FMA vibes with automail and whatnot but I didn’t get to see the procedures Doctor Pietro performed!!
Oscar getting to fight was probably one of my favorite scenes, I love my farm boy and I’m hoping Ozpin comes back at some point!
I’m… conflicted on Penny returning… I mean, it makes sense that she would be rebuilt, but as something that had an impact on Ruby in the past with her being destroyed… they kind of just… brushed it off…
Ace Ops! I like them already! I got a request for someone from Ace Ops and I’m excited to get to know them all!
Also, I would have preferred it if RWBY went with security in the beginning (IT PROBABLY WOULD HAVE BEEN A LOT EASIER), but they have to be rats and not do that so meh.
Also, Weiss is worried about being sent back to her dad. Call me dumb, but isn’t she a legal adult and doesn’t have to live with him if she doesn’t want to? Like? Legally she has a say?
Ep 2:
I have a feeling the Ace Ops are treated like pit bulls, have a bad rap and people either hate them or are terrified. But they are intensely loyal and are actually good people.
Ok ok ok, they want to see Ironwood, illegally mind you. By breaking in and sneaking in to see him. But the second they get caught (RIGHTFULLY SO, YOU ARE SNEAKING INTO A KINGDOM) and are taken to see him legally… they get all mopey and sad. JUST OBEY THE LAW PEOPLE
I don’t know why I’m so focused on the detail in everyone’s shoes. But I am.
Winter is in the right for being upset at Weiss. I WOULD BE TOO.
I AM SUPPORTING AND TRUSTING IRONWOOD, JUST SAYING THAT NOW
Ironwood’s plan makes sense, I do believe the people should know about Salem.
Also, why is Qrow all buddy buddy with Ozpin again? He was talking about him like he missed him, but I was under the impression that he hated Ozpin after learning his background.
WHY ARE YOU LYING TO IRONWOOD RUBY?! THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT YOU DIDN’T WANT WITH OZ. I can tell Ironwood knows something is off but he can’t tell what.
Not sure when to put this, but i hope they bring up everything with Adam, like I hope it is part of Blake’s and Yang’s character development.
Qrow getting a hug from Ironwood makes me happy, he needs some happiness and friends in his life!!
I like the Ace Ops, the guy with the wolf tail is going to be one of my favorites I can tell But I’m biased and like anything to do with dogs.
Ep 3:
UPGRADES TO THE WEAPONS YES
This leader of the Ace Ops is really cool, I like him but I can’t really get the image out of my mind that he probably plays soccer or something. Like a soccer dad or something.
The initial designs or Team RWBY looked cool in theory, but I don’t think they translate to the animation style very well. I’d have to say Ruby’s is probably my favorite, except for her hair. She looks like a duck. It looks like they were almost going for an Edward Elric or Meliodas style cowlick but it didn’t work out too well.
Again, wolf faunus guy is going to be my favorite.
The zippers of Blake’s costume is bugging me, just a note.
And Oscar bringing up the lying is great and I love it.
Not going to lie, Blake getting attacked by the Haunter looking grimm or whatever it was, gave me a big jump scare.
Centipede grimm… what’s 1000-7 anyone? No? Okay I’ll shut up.
I want Qrow and the leader of the Ace Ops to be friends, Qrow needs friends.
I LOVE THE ACE OPS ITS OFFICIAL
ALL OF THEM ARE MY CHILDREN
Also it’s really nice to see graduated huntsmen in action, working as a team and all. We really only have seen Qrow by himself but it’s cool to see a team in action!
Another speed semblance is awesome and I love it!!
Clover has a good luck semblance? Why is that so funny to me?
Also watching Marrow parade Ruby around is the epitome of cute.
DAMN IT TYRIAN DON’T SCARE ME LIKE THAT
Also, did they ever explain why his eyes turn purple?
Ep 4:
I like that the Ace Ops are civilized with each other but don’t act like best buddies. It’s a really cool change from the buddy buddy attitude of RWBY and JNR.
I’m still hating Jaune’s hair cut.
Yaaaaaaaaaaay murder!
I’m also not sure how I feel about Qrow’s outfit, it almost makes him look like a toy soldier.
And yaaaassss Ironwood bashing Jaques is one of the best things ever.
Also I think they’re forgetting the fact that Weiss is a legal adult?
And Papa Schnee is gaslighting Weiss, I hope people call that out.
He’s also threatening military personnel and Ironwood at that. You know that talk about the noose and stuff… Isn’t that illegal?
I can tell Penny is going to bug me, I really believe that she could’ve been written out.
Really dumb, but can Yang feel pain if she disconnects her arm? How does she move it? Is it like Fullmetal Alchemist’s automail?
I think Ozpin does trust others with the whole truth, not just himself. I think Qrow is lying to himself to make himself feel better.
I 100% believe Summer would have trusted in Oz and pressed on with what he had planned. But hey, that’s just me.
It still throws me off when Watts talks because he’s also All Might and those are two very different people.
I feel like they are trying to build tension by ending every episode with the villains, but that’s starting to get old and I’m only on episode 4
Ep 5:
Ruby is a morning person and it’s already wearing me out.
This almost slice of life scene is really nice!
I like that it shows that team RWBY and JNR are really adept at fighting and all, but it also shows that Ace Ops are superior.
Nora riding her hammer like a Mario Kart is awesome
YAY NEON’S BACK
Also Neon, Oscar is like 14, back off
Ren is being sad boy and it makes me sad too.
Qrow and Clover having a minute to be friends is nice!
And how easily did Qrow give up drinking? That’s not really something you just… give up?
Robyn (Robin?) makes a good point, Mantle does need help and they aren’t getting it. But she’s going about it the wrong way.
Pipsqueak and 5 o’clock shadow are excellent nicknames.
Training between Winter and Weiss is really cool! I like the little sisterly bonding scenes are really sweet!
Weiss makes a good point, everyone is doing what they think is right, even if it doesn’t look like it.
I don’t like that they are keeping the Winter Maiden almost as a prisoner, but I can also see why he’s doing it the way he is. And the fact that Winter is accepting it the way she is is such a breath of fresh air from a classic hero’s arc she could’ve been put down.
I still trust Ironwood! That’s all I’m saying!
I also believe that Yang and Blake should branch out and work with others, not just each other. It isn’t healthy. Especially if the writers aren’t TALKING ABOUT ADAM.
PLEASE TALK ABOUT ADAM, THAT’S A HUGE TRAUMATIZING EXPERIENCE THAT THEY AREN’T TALKING ABOUT
Ep 6:
Nora’s bringing up a point that is really important!! Maybe Ozpin couldn’t beat Salem but maybe someone else can! Maybe Ruby can once she gets a hold on her silver eyes!
Marrow is still my favorite, I love him so much.
The little sheep faunus that follows Robyn around is so cute. Her weapon is not so cute. But I love her anyway. I LOVE FAUNUS OKAY
I feel like Rooster Teeth is trying to push the subtle message of getting registered to vote and I’m lowkey cackling.
Okay, serious thing here. I love that Renora is a ship that sailed. Really I do, it’s probably my favorite RWBY ship. (though I like to think it sailed a while ago) But I feel like we didn’t really earn that kiss? Like I feel like it would have been better if they hadn’t argued and like it was a last ditch effort to stop said argument. I don’t know, I have a lot of feelings about it.
Watching Tyrian in action is super cool! The way he was animated is so fluid and mesmerizing and I really love it! Great job Rooster Teeth!!
Also Watts almost looked like a conductor and if that’s what Rooster Teeth is going for I applaud them. But also, on the funny side, it looks like he’s waving his arms around like a maniac.
Penny being framed is really neat, but why do I feel like it’s going to be brushed off?
Marrow telling everyone to stay is hilarious to me and I love it.
Papa Schnee pledging to serve while Grimm are attacking is a really cool parallel.
According to the end credits, I’m taller than Ruby… For once I’m taller than an anime character other than Edward Elric!
Ep 7:
Penny’s head pat is so cute.
I understand why Ironwood put the ban on assembly and the curfew up. It makes sense while they’re trying to catch Tyrian.
Also the semblance that gives someone the ability to turn things invisible?! Dude that’s so cool!!
Everything Ironwood and Ace Ops are saying makes sense. I can see how his mind is working and I can tell he’s just trying to keep everyone safe.
Also, where has Maria been? What has she been doing?
“Why can’t people do what they used to and fight to the death?” Maria I love you.
Blake being Batman over here, my goodness.
Blake using Dust with her semblance again! Finally!
Hahaha cutting off swearing is probably one of my favorite tropes.
James wanting to ask and talking to Ozpin hurts my heart. I just want Ozpin back!!
Seeing someone still messed up by the Fall of Beacon is really nice, everyone else seems to brush it off.
Ep 8:
I hate dinner parties… I have a feeling this won’t go well…
“Sir, with all due respect, you’d have to pay me.” OMG Winter I’m dead XD
I hope Weiss has a song in this like “This Life is Mine” I really really hope she does.
Also THIS IS THE PERFECT CHANCE TO HAVE FORMAL WEAR
I WANT TO SEE THEM IN FORMAL WEAR
Awww I liked Klein :(
Qrow and Clover’s friendship is so nice, I like it :)
Part of me wishes Whitley had a wardrobe upgrade. It would have been a nice change of color!
Oscar eating in the background is me in any social situation.
Why does every rich businessman have a long ass dining table? Seriously? Why?
Ren looks so proud of himself, also seeing Whitley doused in wine is hilarious. Also, purple really is his color!
Guys? Please let Ironwood talk? You want to know why but you keep interrupting him before he can get a word out.
YAS WINTER GO OFF ON HIM
It’s also a nice touch that all the people on Papa Schnee’s side has wine while everyone else has water, I don’t know if it was intentional but I noticed it and thought it was cool!
Weiss’s mom is very pretty! I’m also really glad to see Weiss actually talking to her mom. And seeing her mom trying to talk some sense into Weiss is really cool too.
Ep 9:
Ok ok, PLEASE STOP INTERRUPTING IRONWOOD! DIDN’T ANYONE TEACH YOU BETTER?!
Question about Robyn’s semblance, would it work with Ironwood’s prosthetic side?
“You are under arrest! Can I do that?” One of my favorite quotes in this show.
Please Winter, just sock Papa Schnee in the face.
Yes James, Robyn knows. Because people who CAN’T KEEP A SECRET TOLD HER
I forgot how much I love the designs of the bigger grimm, I mean. The other ones are fine. But the giant ones? Masterpieces
I’m starting to ship Robyn and Ironwood, they have the potential for ‘enemies to lovers’ kind of fanfictions.
“You aren’t alone.” OKAY RUBY HOW ABOUT YOU TELL HIM YOUR SECRETS?!
Stupid question I started thinking of, how much do Huntsmen get paid?
“Ugh kids” I feel you Marrow, I feel you
Please give Ironwood a break, he needs a vacation. Petition to give Ironwood a vacation!
The music, I keep forgetting how much I love the instrumental music in RWBY.
Aaaaaaaaand Neo and Cinder are back… no one saw this coming… BECAUSE IT WASN’T SET UP BEFORE
Writers of RWBY… please set up things like that little by little! Even if it was just something small, like a glimpse or something! Not just throwing them back in the story because of the potential conflict it would cause!
Ep 10:
Yesssssss big strong queen on the Ace Ops!
The slow piano during Ironwood’s speech is really pretty. It’s giving me goosebumps!
Ironwood’s speeches are some of the best anime speeches I’ve ever heard, the music choice really helps make it so much more impactful.
“Our tin soldier’s heart has lost his mind.” Nice tin man reference!
“The timeline has changed.” Cinder are you a time traveler now?
HELL YEAH I’VE ALWAYS WANTED SOMEONE TO HAVE A BAZOOKA
Also, I think people forget just how terrifying elephants can be until they are RUNNING RIGHT AT YOU
Ruby this would be really nice if you would use your silver eyes right about now
Penny looked legit like someone out of Dragon Ball Z and it’s making me cackle.
The whole thing with Robyn, Qrow, and Clover vs Tyrian is something I’ve heard very vague things about and I’m not looking forward to it.
SUPERHERO LANDING BITCH
All Might vs Ironwood… I’M READY!!!
Ep 11:
FINALLY AN IRONWOOD SONG
I’ll have to look at the lyrics after, but it’s really cool to see Ironwood in action!!
I mean we saw him in action back at the Fall of Beacon, but this is against another human being!
A detail I wish was added was Ironwood’s punches landing differently with half of his body being metal and the other half being flesh.
Also Ironwood… Please be okay, please don’t lose an arm…
The fight between Tyrian and the three was very short but very clean and nice!
Ironwood falling into paranoia is out of character in my opinion. But you know, just my opinion, the writers don’t seem to care about him much.
OH SHIT SALEM
“Set the stage for me.” You and what army?
RIGHT THE FLYING MONKEY ARMY I FORGOT
Summer Rose and the screaming is messing with my head.
Apparently it’s messing with Ruby’s too…
I don’t know why they’re so worried about Ironwood doing what he’s doing. It does make sense. And team RWBY’s choices are finally coming to bite them in the ass, it makes me happy!
Except for leaving Mantle to die, I think that’s the only thing I don’t like. But casualties are always a part of war.
Okay RWBY… you guys are a bunch of kids, and what’s your plan? You don’t have one! Ironwood came up with a plan against Salem! It does mean people are going to die and yes it’s sad, but people die a lot and more are going to be killed if you try and do something stupid and reckless.
But I’m anticipating that RWBY and Co. are going to win because of their protagonist powers.
Ep 12:
Children children don’t fight. Though Tyrian is making me laugh.
I wish they all talked about it like civil adults, but I suppose Robyn is a bit too childish.
I want Ace Ops to win, but they won’t because protagonist powers and it kind of pisses me off.
You know, all Marrow has to do is use his semblance right?
As gross as it is, it’s kinda cool seeing how Tyrian got out of his restraints.
OK WHY IS HE TEAMING UP WITH TYRIAN?! It makes no sense? It would’ve made more sense if they both teamed up on Tyrian and then fought after, maybe they wouldn’t have had to fight because Qrow genuinely found a friend in Clover so he’d give up so he can also get to Ruby.
Also Blake and Yang probably broke her back.
Seeing Ruby go toe to toe with someone and only won because Weiss intervened was cool.
Aaaaaaaaand Ace Ops is down and I’m pissed.
AND NOW CLOVER IS DEAD?! YOU SHOULD HAVE SEEN THIS COMING ASSHOLE!!
TEAMING UP WITH A SERIAL KILLER AND EXPECTING HIM TO NOT KILL HIM IS LIKE EXPECTING SOMEONE NOT TO BREATHE.
Clover just wanted to trust Qrow. THAT’S ALL HE WANTED.
But not gonna lie, seeing Qrow cry still makes me upset.
It seems like the writers are taking away anyone who either gets shipped with Qrow, or whoever he has a relationship with that isn’t RWBY. Ozpin? Gone. Ironwood? Pretty much estranged and not seeing eye to eye anymore. Tai? Who knows what’s happening with him.
Ep 13 (Finale):
I’m not excited for the finale.
I’m really not.
But starting it off with a fight with Neo is a cool idea.
Seeing her fight using her umbrella is always one of my favorite things about her character.
And now a fight with Cinder vs Winter and Penny.
“It just makes us hungrier and I refuse to starve.” Really cool quote! Even though Cinder is probably one of my least favorite characters.
Winter using her summoning thing to make a manticore was super cool too!
Penny saving Winter, please tell me they become friends after this.
“My life doesn’t matter!” “I disagree!” Okay okay Penny gains one point in my character list for this quote.
Seeing Neo as Nora was cool, though I don’t understand why Ren was hesitating to attack her. They’ve surely spared before right? Like he shouldn’t hesitate that much?
But him crying is really really sad.
YAS BOSS ASS BITCH WINTER MAIDEN OLD LADY
I really wish we could’ve seen her personality more, she seems really nice.
Though I gotta say, her exploding with power was really epic.
Ren please don’t scream, it hurts my heart.
Please don’t make Penny the winter maiden. If she becomes the maiden then I’m going to riot.
DAMN IT SHE’S THE MAIDEN
That pose Oscar, you’re becoming Ozpin. And I miss my wizard. I want him to come back.
Him using the cane as an actual cane because he’s injured is really cool. Plus the fact that he draws so much comfort from Ozpin’s cane is so sweet.
Ironwood is going down a dark path because the writers want him to and it’s pissing me off to no end.
SHOOTING OSCAR ISN’T IN CHARACTER FOR IRONWOOD OKAY?!
Winter cutting off Cinder’s arm is one of the best things in this episode
OZPIN IS BACK AND THAT’S ALL I CARE ABOUT
Now Ruby decides to use her silver eyes?
OZPIN IS BACK BITCHES
Literally all I care about is Ozpin coming back, though the song is pretty I guess.
Part of me is happy Qrow is arrested.
Winter forcing Weiss and Co to run is really sweet and touching in her own way. She just wants her sister to be safe.
Cinder ticks me off, she’s very childish and if that’s supposed to be the point it’s working. She’s not really all that intimidating
Now Salem has a flying whale? Is this a reference to the whale that swallowed Pinocchio?
OSCAR HAS MAGIC
OZPIN IS BACK
I WILL NOT STOP FREAKING OUT ABOUT THIS
That’s all my thoughts on this season of RWBY! Thanks for reading if you got this far! And my requests are OPEN for male rwby character x reader requests!

4,5 years of Gotham in my life♥
Tumblr media
Wow my emotions these last days. I’m not much of a text poster on this site but when Gotham ended I really felt I wanted to write this!
Gotham has been a huge part of my life for so long now. 4 years and 7 months since the first episode aired, that’s some time gosh. And so much has happened during this journey! I just wanna mention some memorable things during these years. Like remember the pre-s02x09 excitement?? And other stuffs, ah here we go!
The first trailer made me SO EXCITE, I had wanted more batman villains content for years since I have always found the batman villains squad so interesting and good and unique characters, there is so much to explore here! And so the Gotham trailer came and I just OH MY GOD this is exactly what I want!! And so it started and it was amazing. My first love was Ed, it took him his first scene in ep1 to make me go totally THIS IS MY FAV! More eps went on and I required more Ed content. But then Oswald slowly grew on me kinda out of nowhere like I wasn’t expecting it. And when amazing ep7 aired it just hit down on me from the sky, like it does when I know I got a new obsession/fandom. Oswald’s amazing scenes in ep7 and I went ”Okay this is it, I’M DEEP INTO THIS NOW AND I LOVE IT!”. In exactly THIS↓ scene/moment I basically said those words out loud and realized this is my life now, ugh also one of my fav looks I miss the bangs:
Tumblr media
Shortly after ep7 I started shipping Nygmobblepot, since we knew who these characters were and who they will end up being it made SO much sense in this show, they were like the two familiar main villains in kinda the same age and I also loved them both so I mean it was obvious for me. Man in the beginning we were so very few in the shipping Nygmob pond, in the OCEAN of Gobblepot. It was a bit of a struggle sometimes, ppl wrote hate on my Nygmob posts n stuff shrug. And I just didn’t get how not more ppl could see it? It would make more sense if this were new characters like they hadn’t even met but since we knew this is Riddler and Penguin it just was fate for them to cross paths soon enough! We needed Nygmob content! I started making tons of my own AU:s since if the show wouldn’t give us content I would do it.
BUT we had Robin & Cory with us! Reminder that Cory invented the shipname after 5 minutes and Robin & Cory’s amazing twitter activity during s1 especially I will always remember as a fav. Remember when they we’re so into roleplaying Nygmob and spoke how Ed & Os loved each other and all sorts of things. All about going to The Foxglove together and stuff. Ugh it was amazing, I miss their interactions.
In this very smol pond is when one day my shining star @conscience-killer (aka okimi79)  approached me, with this ♥ ”Sometimes I feel we’re the only Nygmobblepot shippers in the world…well apart from Robin and Cory. We should have a secret handshake or something.”
And man did we get a secret handshake! Gosh MY DEAR OKIMI! That I up til this day since then has spoken with like everyday for 4,5 years, you are amazing ♥ And in that time of so few shippers it felt even more special, to have  someone else out there as obsessed as me. I’m so grateful we found each other at exactly that time and we’ve been through so much on this journey ♥.
When Nygmob in spring finally had their first scene it was so amazing and I have no idea how many times I have watched that scene to this day, and also with that the ship grew a bit yas!!
Tumblr media
Let’s jump forward a bit. NYC Comic Con 2015 in fall, one of my fav Robin & Cory cons/interview times! Because the legendary ep 2x9 was soon upon us and OMG remember how excite they were in those interviews!?! And THEN, that fkn night THE episode aired. I couldn’t believe it was real, it was EVERYTHING we had dreamed of!!! SO MUCH NYGMOB CONTENT and so in character and gosh. Man their season 2 relationship is just so beautiful and I love it til this day and 2x9 is forever my favorite episode because it meant EVERYTHING for us shippers and more people also started seeing the connection between Nygmob and so more ppl started to make content and join in!
A time after another shining star came into my life, @constant-sinner (aka (riddlelvr) ♥ This amazing person and artist! And together with her and okimi I am part of the best trash family of three and I can’t believe I’ve been a mom (yet i’m the youngest but i’m fashion fur coat mom okay) to these trash sinners for like 4 years. ♥
Okay but remember all INSANE SMAYLOR CONTENT BEFORE SEASON 3!!? Man that was also one of the best times I had during these years. God they were so excite for their relationship in s3 and WEREN’T WE ALL! And omg Comic Con. I had my fkn header for 3 years soon lol, man that moment I remember seeing the signing booth stream all casual and Robin & Cory goes “Smaaylor!! Nygmobblepot!!! ;))” And I’m just wait WHUT omg. Their press tours with Sean is something I’ll miss even more than the episodes, always such a joy seeing those three together!
Tumblr media
And when season 3 started it was just insane. To be honest how their relationship grew in s3 that’s how I expected it to grow after their meeting in s1, it made sense already back then. Ed admiring Oswald and sneaking to his club and Oswald would be a huge part of Ed’s journey to become the Riddler but ah well, I did my best with my AU:s back then!
And then s3 came and Gotham EXPLODED and I had no idea where all million ppl suddenly came from lol. It became huge. But since it still feels kinda close to this day (2,5 yrs though man), my most nostalgic feels will always be over s1-2 so I’m not gonna write so much about the season 3-5 times in this text. My closest to heart milestones is during the first years and now that I’ve seen all episodes I still think season 1 is the best overall, except the lack of Nygmob content ofc ;)
I’ve not just felt love for the show ofc, the show isn’t perfect. There has been serious flaws and bad writing and plot drops. Tbh s4 I just felt so NOPE about? 22 eps of waste…Like Ed’s plot for example like he barley had his own plot what happened? And we also have the q*eerbait Nygmob issue obviously. I have also felt the show has been a bit childish being -helloo- GOTHAM city we’re talking about? I think it would have been much better off with a MA-rating tbh to properly tell certain stories. After s4 though I’m glad in s5 Nygmob finally got some proper screen time being together and in character!! Like that’s how their relationship should have been from beginning of season 4, or season 1 if u ask me lol but ya know!
BUT I LOVE THIS SHOW, the amazing actors and characters and scenery and costumes!! Ed, Oswald, Robin & Cory will ofc always have the most special place in my heart ♥ The Nygmob journey in the show has meant so much to me to follow it from day one and I never knew how much this show would mean to me when I started back in the day.
This show. And not just the show itself but my journey and life around it!!? So much has happened. For one example I had made a bit of gifs before but Gotham really got me into gif making, and it’s been a joy sharing content and my Nygmob AU will always be among my most fun things I’ve done, it was like if they ain’t gonna give us enough content I WILL. It’s a fun way of gif making to manip scenes to create something new! And today I still enjoy making gifs, as you probably know heh. Thanks so much for all nice comments and reblogs through all these years ya’ll!! It warms my heart and I love to read reblog tags!
I have been at con and got to meet Robin, enjoyed so many interviews and promos, chatted with wonderful people. Every Friday night I have been up in my Europe timezone at 2am to live watch the show, the workdays after has been a bit of a struggle of being tired with going to bed like 5am lol but man it’s been so nice to follow it when it airs!
Watching together with my dearest @conscience-killer and @constant-sinner . Two of the best that happened to me during these years. These two people that I’ve spoken with like everyday for 4 years! Through Gotham finding two of my dearest friends in my life. Watching the show together and screaming, crying, laughing during this journey, about not just the show but EVERYTHING in life. They also are amazing writers and artists ♥ And also helped me endless times with gif caption when my non-native brain trying to write gif captions at 3am after the episode lol. All my love to you both ♥
THANKS TO ALL AMAZING PEOPLE that impacted me over these years. The cast and nice fandom people! My dearest @conscience-killer and @constant-sinner. And I also wanna mention dear @millicentcordelia and @selene-volturo that are amazing ppl that have been here with me since the very beginning of season 1. And they have always been so down to earth even during the stormiest periods of this show’s existence ♥ I’m so glad we’ve shared this LONG journey!
And also hugs to my dear mutual fandom friends that I’ve shared hours of conversations with over the years. Some of us maybe don’t speak as much nowadays and some of us have gone separate ways with new interests but I hope you know who you all are, regardless if we spoke yesterday or 2015. You have made my fandom time a joy!
I’m actually okay with the show ending now you know. Ofc it’s a bit sad but as I said I felt s4 was kinda stomping around in the same spot and even s5 had some fillers like they didn’t have more to do to push the story forward? The last ep was a nice easter egg wrap up for this LONG journey. And I mean shows live on with fan content, and who knows maybe it will return somehow? But it feels good they told us it would end so I was prepared for this and to say ”goodbye”. But it’s not goodbye because content will continue on this site and I’ll continue re-enjoy this show!
Tumblr media
This is 4,5 years. In 2 pages, I could prob write 20 but ah, but i felt I got to to summary the most important things for me over these years ♥. This show and stuff that came with it will always be such a big part of my life, ALL LOVE AND HUGS!

Sure, Gotham villains like Professor Pyg and Scarecrow have been nothing short of awesome, but fans have been anxiously awaiting the return of the show's resident maniac, Jerome.
Played by Cameron Monaghan, and influenced by Batman's arch-nemesis The Joker, Jerome has been a favorite villain among fans of the show. In the second half of this season, he's finally returning for a new arc on the series, and he's teaming up with an unlikely ally; The Penguin.
That chaotic pairing will be entertaining to say the least, and we wanted to know a little more about what to expect from the two characters once they finally cross paths. So, we caught up with Gotham co-executive producer Bryan Wynbrandt to see what he could tell us about Jerome's return later this season. Spoiler alert: It doesn't sound like we'll be disappointed.
"I was watching the dailies and I was watching just some of the cuts and whatever and what you instantly get with Cameron [Monaghan] is this bolt of electricity," Wynbrandt said. "It can power the DeLorean and send you back in time. That's the level of energy this guy brings to the show. He's electric. He brings something, a gravitas to the show that just ups it and so the real balance with him is he is that flavor, that sweet that you have to make sure that you don't get it to a place where people are so used to it where you don't really appreciate it anymore.
"So the balance with him is how do we make him continually cool and continually something that brings that energy, that newness in where we don't get complacent or feel like his character just sort of starts to become just another one of the core. His entrance into the show always signifies something big happening and so you just have to be careful with that character. That you don't overplay his hand in the show but all that being said, he has been phenomenal. We have an awesome story for him. You're going to love it and the fans are going to love it and it really goes to a really interesting place and has ripple effects not just in this season but hopefully, knock on wood, next season as well."
The last time Jerome was on Gotham, his story found its roots in the beloved graphic novel, The Killing Joke. This time around though, the story is much more of an original tale, so fans will be kept guessing the entire time he is on-screen.
"This is really something that just we as a room cooked up and it's a really unique and an original kind of take on a story line for him," Wynbrandt explained.
"We feel like, where The Killing Joke was so obviously and intentionally a touchstone in the last run, there is nothing of that kind of ilk for this. Now, there's always things that will make you go, 'Oh it's a little bit like this or it's a little bit I see the inspiration there. I see the inspiration here.' But this is a very original kind of take on this story and we're really excited about it because his reintroduction into the Gotham world is going to have him crossing with characters we've not yet seen him with. Which is really kind of a theme we've been playing with this whole season and something we challenged ourselves over designing this season."
Cameron Monaghan is currently filming new Gotham episodes as Jerome, and they're expected to air sometime in the second half of the season.

Deanee on “Regular Girls” EP.42
Here is a new Regular Girls episode! Although I'm not very happy (I'm more disappointed than happy, honestly) I'm writing the summary, so I think of something else.
Stacey and Renee had recording problems: Skype didn’t work as it should, but they managed to record the episode anyway! The day before, Renee was hangover so she is happy she is recording later, when she has recovered. Renee also vomited into a public space, then she told her that she and Jon went to place called Drip doctors:Jon got a limitless iv, Renee instead an hangover iv. Jonathan Good: 1 Renee Paquette: 0 While Stacey tells of when Brendan was hangover, Renee can no longer hear her well: technology has always been a problem. Then Stacey talked about a commercial she did and she was with an eighteen girl, and they had to dance in the car. She then told it to Brendan, who didn’t comfort her. Renee then added that the day before, Jon was overcompensating on how Renee was hangover, but he kept doing it as it was all right. In addition, they both watched a movie "The Wedding Singer," and Jon started analyzing an actress's career with Renee. Great. When she and Jon were coming home, he looked at her and laughed at the conditions under which she was. Damn husband. And it's not over! When they came back to the house, Renee cried and she went to the bathroom and Jon followed her into the bathroom... And Blue followed Jon and Renee. "And so the family functions!" I love them. Stacey said she would never allow Brendan to follow her in the bathroom, Renee shares... But Jon has seen this in the past, so she has become used to his presence as she vomits. But if you have to do anything else, there must be no one in the bathroom with you (obviously) Blue played with a puppet, those puppets that play if you push them. Renee and Stacey talked about the body of some women and Renee said that being often in the locker room for interviews (so work) and there they change constantly, so for Renee to see topless women is pretty much normal. But the same thing doesn’t apply to Lady Gaga. Renee met JLo (You can tell me I'm idiot, but I didn’t understand who JLo was, I realized now that I was looking for Jennifer Lopez on Google) and then sent a message to Jon writing "You have no idea what you're missing . " Stacey didn’t like This Is Us, at Renee instead... Well, Renee didn’t expect great things, she didn’t think Dean would have liked it but... This Is Us liked to both of us! As Renee was not hangover, Dean began searching for "Batman" on Google. Renee is starting to organize Halloween: Jon doesn’t love horror films (Thanks to Dean for sharing so many things with me. It's going to be December's influence) and Renee decided that they will look at the Original Addams Family movies. Renee and Dean went to a store (for Renee's birthday) and they bought several things for Halloween. So they bought 4/5 skeletons of horses and dogs... The problem is that she is confident that both she and Jon will not be in the house for Halloween. Halloween is on Tuesday this year. Tuesday we have SmackDown Live. She will be both Raw (the day before) and Smackdown; Dean will be in Raw and then in some live events. Then Renee says it would be nice to have the zombie version of Dean and Stacey started imitating the child fan of Dean Ambrose Stacey and Renee have talked about the Kardashians and how Kylie is pregnant (and how she has my same age). Renee's father will go to her and Jon for two weeks and she is renovating the whole house. Renee will go to LA, there will be a musician and Jon is a great fan of him. They will go to LA when Dean will end the Live Event that will be Tuesday and when Renee returns from Denver to Smackdown Live. Renee told what happened last week: she was on the phone with Jon (He was in Australia) and she was in the gas station, and she put her wallet over the car and she forgot it, so she left and rightly the wallet flew away. She returns home and she receives a call from a friend who was contacted by a person who had found the wallet. So Renee went to this woman who gave her the wallet but there were not all the things that were before. She thanked her, though there was not everything, but she had to go to Raw. Raw, Ariya Daivari (a member of 205 Live) was talking to Jon of Renee's wallet and that her brother's (Ariya's) ex girlfriend had all the rest who was missing. She is happy to find everything, even because now she will have a new green card because Renee has changed her name (From Renee Paquette to Renee Good) and then Renee has given some money to who helped her. Or rather, they didn’t want to, but she still left some money in the table to thank them for helping her out. She is so altruistic. Good News: Dean asked Renee if he can be on Regular Girls! Probably, I'm not sure, Dean will be in Regular Girls next week! Then they talked about Cesaro's teeth. And here is the end of the summary! I remind you that if you want to add things I didn’t write, send me everything as a question; if you want to tell me something, the messages are for everyone... This week will be a bit strange, then you will see in the future. At Next!

West Week Ever: Pop Culture In Review - 8/25/17
In movie news, there was quite the controversial casting this week, as the color lines blurred for some comic book adaptations. First up, it was announced that English actor Ed Skrein would be portraying Japanese character Ben Daimio in the upcoming Hellboy reboot. Now, according to what I’ve read, Daimio’s Japanese heritage heavily influences the character, so this whitewashing of the character doesn’t seem to be in the best interest of the character. I mean, after the problems with whitewashing in Doctor Strange, Ghost in the Shell, Aloha, The Great Wall, and Ni’ihau, you’d think Hollywood would avoid shit like this. Yes, movies are made to make money, but it’s not like Skrein is a bankable star worth slotting into the role, so it doesn’t make a lot of sense. Usually this is done for the film’s STARS. Damon, Johansson, Stone. This is a secondary character, so it really wouldn’t have hurt them to seek out an Asian actor. Normally I’m just like “Well, Hollywood’s gonna Hollywood”, but this decision just doesn’t make a ton of sense.
Next up, 24: Legacy’s Anna Diop has been cast as Starfire in Warner Bros’ Titans series, slated to air on DC’s upcoming digital service. Some folks are saying they should’ve cast a Latina, but she’s gonna either be painted or CGied in orange, so it’s not like it’s gonna matter at the end of the day. Personally, if they wanted authenticity, I think they should’ve cast an actual orange alien princess. Right now there are just too many unknowns for me to get excited about this. I mean, DC announced the digital service without a lot of information. What’s gonna be on it? What will it cost? How much of the DC library will be available to be housed on it? As for Titans, this is the show TNT passed on. Ya know, the home of such illustrious shows as The Librarians and The Last Ship. I mean, they’re basically just about a notch up from what we got in the 90s from Universal’s Action Pack lineup. If Titans couldn’t fit anywhere on that schedule, then it probably just isn’t “ready for primetime” yet.
Speaking of aimless Warner Bros decisions, they announced 2 different Joker movies this week. First up is an origin tale, directed by Todd Phillips of Old School fame, and produced by Martin Scorsese. Hmm, one of those things is not like the other. I mean, why would Scorsese touch something helmed by the dude who gave us Road Trip? And who even WANTS a Joker origin story? First of all, it’s reportedly not even going to be part of the DCEU, so why confuse the audience with a story that won’t even really “count” in the grand scheme of things? Nobody needs a standalone origin of a take on a character they’ll likely never see again. This is just as foolish as Sony’s Don’t-Look-For-Spider-Man-To-Appear Venom movie. Next, the guys behind This Is Us (SO hot right now!) and Crazy, Stupid, Love are working on a Bonnie & Clyde-style Joker and Harley film, with Jared Leto and Margot Robbie reprising their roles from Suicide Squad. Since this would sort of negate the empowerment that Harley gained by the end of Squad, it’s believed that this actually means that the planned Gotham City Sirens film, also slated to star Robbie, is now dead. Honestly, I could do without either of these movies. I found Leto’s take on Joker to be…interesting, but Less is More with that character. Plus, I don’t really think the DCEU would be strengthened by this sort of movie. It’s not the world-building they need to be doing right now, as they haven’t even figured out the core of their star characters like Batman and Superman yet.
In TV news, Christopher Sebela’s comic Heartthrob has been optioned as a TV series by Felix Culpa – a production company launched by actress/Elvis’s granddaughter Riley Keough. Now, comics are optioned every day, and the final product never comes to fruition, but I hope this series sees the light of day. I’m actually a big fan of the comic, which is published by Oni Press. Set in the late 70s, it focuses on Callie, who’s received a heart transplant while the process is still in its infancy. Given a new lease on life, but still told she’s basically living on borrowed time, she decides to change her life when she meets Mercer, a charming guy with a shady side. She immediately falls for him, and he teaches her how to be bad, like rob banks and commit other crimes. She gets off on the rush. Pretty soon, however, she realizes that Mercer isn’t real. No, he’s actually the ghost of the guy whose heart is now in Callie. So, it’s a Bonnie & Clyde story where Clyde’s calling the shots from the afterlife. The book is published in “seasons”, so the first 5-issue miniseries wrapped up back in early 2016, while season 2 is hitting stores now. If you’re looking for a new comic not from the Big Two, I highly recommend it.

In music news, Taylor Swift did a whole social blitz to announce that her next album would be called Reputation, and would be released Nov 10th. On top of that, the first single was released last night, with rumors that the video will premiere at Sunday’s MTV Video Music Awards. Ya know, the same awards hosted my Taylor’s enemy Katy Perry. Yeah, that should be pretty interesting to watch. Anyway, the new song is called “Look What You Made Me Do”, and I’m not too impressed. It lacks a real hook, while the chorus itself is basically spoken. I feel like it has all the ingredients for a great song, but it’s not living up to its full potential. If this is an indicator of what to expect on Reputation, though, I’ll admit I’m curious. It can’t be worse than Perry’s Witness.
youtube
Speaking of Katy Perry, we got the premiere of her video for “Swish Swish”, which was reportedly her diss track against Taylor Swift. After a lot of backtracking and sucking up, though, it seems Katy wants to put that feud behind her. That’s why this horrible video does everything it can to take the bite out of a song that was never really that biting to begin with. I mean, just look at it – Molly Shannon? Terry Crews? Even Nicki Minaj was clearly CGied in, as I’m sure she didn’t wanna be anywhere near this shitshow. The sad thing about the Perry/Swift feud is that Katy bailed on it the minute she realized the Swifties were a more powerful lobby than she had thought. Nobody was feeling her SNL performances, and Witness didn’t exactly fly off the shelves. She realized that she can’t really survive by making enemies, so suddenly she became conciliatory to save her ass. Plus, it’s kinda lame that this blood feud started just because Taylor stole a few of Katy’s dancers for her tour. Anyway, you’ll never get those 6 minutes back. You’re welcome.
I had the pleasure of joining my buddy Zac for his new podcast, The Zac Shipley Show. He’s treating these first few episodes as pilots for ideas he’s wanted to try, so our ep was called Streaming Pile, where we talked about the worst things we could find on streaming services. I talked about a Star Trek: Voyager episode where formerly perky pixie Kes returns all middle-aged and bitter. You should check it out, and give a listen to his other episodes while you’re there!
Song of the Week
youtube
I’ve been a big Maren Morris fan since she released “My Church”, and I was really into her next single, “80s Mercedes”. With this song she continues not to disappoint, as I love the groove on this thing. Listen to the bassline. It’s not a dance song, yet you can do a MEAN two-step to it. Hell, I think you could even do a casual version of The Hustle to it. This will definitely go to #1 given time.
Things You Might Have Missed This Week
NBC’s planned reboot of Xena: Warrior Princess – which would’ve featured a full-on lesbian relationship between her and Gabrielle – is officially dead, as they said “it didn’t warrant a reboot”. Man, if only other studios would realize this about some of their projects…
Director James Gunn mentioned in a Q & A session that the 3rd Guardians of the Galaxy film would set up the next 10-20 years of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Yup, you’re just now realizing your own mortality. I’ll give you a minute to deal with that.
Speaking of Gunn, he’s attached to write the pilot for (and possibly direct) a reboot of 70s series Starsky & Hutch. This adaptation is supposed to be similar in tone to CBS’s upcoming S.W.A.T. and not comedic in tone like the 2004 Ben Stiller & Owen Wilson movie.
Surprising every critic in Hollywood, Netflix has renewed the maligned comedy Friends From College for a second season.
Known for controversial publicity stunts, Alamo Drafthouse is reportedly organizing a Clowns Only screening of the new adaptation of Stephen King’s It.
We got a new poster for Thor: Ragnarok. So many colors!
Michael K. Williams has reportedly been cut from the Star Wars Han Solo film, as Ron Howard’s reshoot schedule conflicted with another role that Williams had accepted.
There are, like, 8 different Knight Rider reboot treatments floating around Hollywood, but the latest rumor is that one of those productions is looking at John Cena as Michael Knight, with Kevin Hart as the voice of K.I.T.T. Of course, it would be a comedic adaptation, a la the popular Jump Street franchise.
Super Troopers 2, the sequel to one of the most overrated films I’ve ever seen, will hit theaters April 20th, 2018.
Anne Hathaway and Rebel Wilson will star in Nasty Women, which is a female-led reboot of the Michael Caine/Steve Martin classic Dirty Rotten Scoundrels.
Independence Day: Resurgence‘s Jessie T Usher will star in Son of Shaft, with Samuel L. Jackson potentially reprising his role as John Shaft (from the 2000 reboot film), the nephew of the original John Shaft, played by Richard Roundtree, who is also in talks to join the movie. Man, that gave me a headache.
youtube
Always on the cutting edge, here’s Sesame Street’s parody of 2017’s song of the summer, “Despacito”
According to the creators, the Netflix series Stranger Things will most likely end after its fourth season
The actress formerly known as “Andrea Zuckerman”, Gabrielle Carteris, has been re-elected to a 2-year term as the President of the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA)
Ryan Gosling will host the season premiere of Saturday Night Live, with musical guest Jay-Z, on Sept 30th.
Jamie Bell is developing a Jumper TV series, based on the 2008 film about teleporters
Suicide Squad 2 is reportedly being fast tracked, but I hope they fast track it right into the garbage. I mean, I enjoyed the first one, but I don’t need a sequel.
youtube
I like Nick Kroll, even though I never saw even a second of Kroll Show. Anyway, he’s got a new animated series about puberty called Big Mouth coming to Netflix and after watching this teaser I am ON BOARD!
We’re a month away from the premiere of Star Trek: Discovery, and it was revealed that it will be rated TV-MA, for Mature Audiences. Now, it doesn’t mean there’ll be tits and phasers, but it does mean they can tell more complex stories. That said, I still feel like they don’t truly understand the source material.
After a scathing essay from his ex-wife went public, accusing him of adultery and other generally shitty behavior to women, Joss Whedon went underground and the fan site, Whedonesque, shut down after 15 years.
youtube
We got a new teaser for Netflix’s The Punisher. With the rate I’m getting through these Marvel shows, I’ll probably get to it just before Evie goes off to Hogwarts.
There was a national solar eclipse this week, which was the first occurrence since 1918. I’m sure you might’ve heard something about it. It was kind of a big deal. Folks were pimping out special cardboard glasses on Craigslist for insane amounts of money, and the American President made news by looking directly into it. It seems that it had a strange effect on different folks. For example, Netflix viewership went down 10% as people went outside to view the phenomenon. Not everyone understood what was going on, bless their hearts. At work, a frantic parent called in and said “Y’all watching the news? You hear about this eclipse? Is it serious?!” Apparently she thought it posed some sort of danger to her kids and the school. No, ma’am. It’s just a beautiful sky ballet. Anyway, the eclipse was EVERYWHERE. I didn’t get to see totality, but it was still nice to stand outside for a bit on a nice day. What am I saying? I hate the outdoors! Well, it was nice to not have to work for a few minutes. You couldn’t escape the Eclipse Fever at the start of the week, so that’s why the Solar Eclipse of 2017 had the West Week Ever.

The British Are Coming (Again)
In the early 60′s a foursome of coconut headed Brits took the world by storm and have forever been a part of the music world since. A little crew called the Beatles came into our grandparents lives and stuck around for what may be an eternity. With them came a couple of little crews known as The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, and The Who. The next great wave of artists from our pals across the pond are coming. Slowly working their ways into our Apple curated playlists and as features on some of the years biggest albums are rappers and singers from all across England. Now given the nation as a whole has given us major stars in this decade (Adele, One Direction, Ed Sheeran, etc) but a whole new British invasion is coming in all genres. Indie Rock, experimental music and grime (a subgenre of hip-hop where the beats are heavy electronic music and made by an artist from the UK) are the key exports from the nation. Some of these creatives have became established acts here in the US in the past year alone, and to prep you for what is over the horizon here is your one stop guide to what the UK has to offer.
Tumblr media
Cosmo Pyke
Genre: Indie Rock
Latest Release: Just Cosmo EP
From: Peckham, London, England
Age: 19
Up until this past year Cosmo has been just a typical London school kid with a passion for skateboarding, graffiti, and a with a bubbling modeling career along with his hobby of being a guitar player. Having been featured in Frank Ocean’s jaw-dropping video for “Nikes”, one would think that acting and modeling was going the best, when in actuality his music is what is taking him the farthest. His debut EP “Just Cosmo” with the bubbling single “Chronic Sunshine” has taken Cosmo across Europe and into America. His Biggest American Moment for now is being featured in aforementioned lone video from Frank Ocean’s beloved “Blonde”, yet bigger things are in store as Cosmo plans to release more music off the back of his sold out European tour and being featured in Dazed Top 100 Up & Comers.
Tumblr media
Skepta
Genre: Grime
Latest Release: Konnichiwa LP
From: Tottenham, London, England
Age: 34
The Tottenham native is seens as one of the greatest Grime artists of all time already. From being the founder of the Grime label/collective powerhouse Boy Better Know, to putting out quality music for over a decade, Skepta is the modern Grime king. Now with the power of the internet Skepta and his fellow BBK members have begone bubbling in the states, and they are up to the challenge. Beginning his crossover by building a relationship with major artists (who are also his fans) such as Drake, A$AP Rocky, Flatbush Zombies and Riff Raff to name a few, he has since had his Biggest American Moment by having a solo track on the “More Life” playlist and receiving acclaim (and a Gold plaque) with his most recent release “Konnichiwa” .
Tumblr media
Rex Orange County
Genre: Indie Rock / Pop
Latest Release: Apricot Princess LP
From: London, England
Age: 19
My first discovery of the London youth came from when Micky Alfred and other members of the Odd Future affiliated collective Illegal Civ were featured on Pharrell’s Beats 1 Radio show in October of 2016. When asked by P and Scott Vener what music they were fans of, Rex Orange County’s single “Paradise” was within the mix, and from there i haven’t gone a day without hearing it. Since then Rex has had been featured as one of Zane Lowe’s World Records twice (”Happiness” and “Best Friend”) and has had possibly his Biggest American Moment by being heavily featured on Tyler The Creator’s newest album “Scum Fuck Flower Boy”. Along with the release of his beautiful debut album “Apricot Princess”, 2017 has been going perfectly for Rex.
Tumblr media
Little Simz
Genre: Hip-Hop
Latest Release: Stillness In Wonderland LP
From: Islington, London, England
Age: 23
While other artists on this list are more known for major features and singles, Little Simz has earned a reputation for creating worlds and stories with her projects. Her “Age 101″ EP series were a major piece of building the buzz and fanbase for the UK poet. Though her Biggest American Moment came after the release of her latest full-length (her sophomore album) “Stillness In Wonderland”. The release made it up to #20 on the UK Charts and opened hip-hop lovers eyes and ears to the possibility of a female rapper from the UK crossing into the US. Along with her musical endeavors, she has been involved in acting and is the founder of her own independent label, AGE 101 Music.

Giggs
Genre: Grime
Latest Release: Landlord LP
From: Peckham, London, England
Age: 34
Another key piece apart of Skepta’s BBK empire is the raspy voiced Grime artist Giggs. A long time member of the now bubbling Grime genre Giggs has earned respect from his peers and now the world. His Biggest American Moment is a comical one, and like a lot of other artists on this list there’s a Drake element. His hilariously meme-worthy closing line on Drake’s “KMT” has been a line that makes a listener either question everything they just heard in a negative way or a positive way. The Batman Line Heard ‘Round The World is his biggest moment for US audiences, but his past work deserves a listen regardless of your view on the line.

Sampha
Genre: Soul / Electronic
Latest Release: Process LP
From: Morden, S. London, England
Age: 28
A voice filled with such pain and equal beauty, with poetic songwriting, and gorgeous electronic and piano based production to back are the hallmarks of the Morden Soul singer. Getting his start as a close collaborator of the electronic adventure started by Aaron Jerome better known as SBTRKT. Along with a close friendship with American artists like Drake, Sampha has slowly become ingrained in today’s American music. Though a solo track on Drake’s “More Life” playlist (and other songs with the Canadian rapper), along with credits on Solange’s latest masterpiece and are big looks for the singer, his own music has been the cause of his Biggest American Moments. The release of his long awaited album “Process” was met with critical acclaim, being heralded as one of the best albums of the year. With heart-shattering vocals that sound like none other, Sampha has stepped into the US, and plans on staying.

Yellow Days
Genre: Indie Rock / Soul
Latest Release: Harmless Melodies EP
From: Haslemere, Surrey, England
Age: 17
The youngest artist on this list is also the most promising. Though George van den Broek is the youngest in days, his voice is filled with the hurt and pain of a Howlin’ Wolf. Switching around between soft rock and borderline blues music, Yellow shows his range on his lone EP “Harmless Melodies”. As of now Yellow hasn’t exactly had a Biggest American Moment, but the buzz from his EP has put him on the radar of American publications like Pigeons & Planes. What is to come from the English act is the most exciting aspect of him, and it may be coming quicker then we expect.

JME
Genre: Grime
Latest Release: Integrity> LP
From: Hackney, London, England
Age: 32
The BBK crew may be known for it’s “leader” Skepta, but the label wouldn’t be the same without co-founder JME. Known for his hilarious wordplay and large, though sporadic, output, he was one of the first Grime rappers  to receive American acclaim in the 2010′s. Skepta has been a slow burn in the US, but hip-hop based publications caught on to JME’s “Integrity>” when it first came out in 2015 leading to his Biggest American Moment, which was being ranked across multiple publications as one of the best projects of the year. His back catalog is a world of Grime classics and colorations with the genre’s biggest artists, making the trip down JME’s rabbit hole one worth wild.

Latest Release: A New Place 2 Drown LP
From: N. London, England

A man of many names to fit his ever changing musical moods is the best way to describe King Krule. His Biggest American Moment may have came a few years back with the release of his gorgeous genre bending LP “6 Feet Beneath The Moon”, but Archy stays within the fold of the American music scene. His last project “A New Place 2 Drown” received high praise, and he has kept busy by playing shows and creating under his multiple aliases. A few months back Krule debuted two new tracks under separate monikers and elluded to a few full length projects coming soon. For now our fingers are crossed, it’s been a little over two years since any full release, and his fans are eagerly waiting on his return.

His long awaited debut, and his Biggest American Moment, “Gang Signs & Prayer” is the first Grime album to reach #1 on the UK Billboard Charts, along with leading him to be nominated for Breakthrough Act at the Brit Awards. Grime in the UK is still seen as Hip-Hop once was, a phase, and something that will be gone soon. Stormzy through quality music and charting singles has shown that Grime is here to stay, and that it has the ability to spread across the globe.

Mura Masa
Genre: Electronic / Dance / Pop
Latest Release: Mura Masa LP
From: Castel, Guernsey

Though lone artist on the list not from England, but it would be a travesty to leave him off. Mura Masa has already worked with some of the biggest artists, not just in the UK, but in the world. His Biggest American Moment has come within the release of his self titled LP “Mura Masa”, and it came in the form of the two lead singles “Love$ick” with A$AP Rocky and “1Night” with Charlie XCX. Both singles are bubbling on the Billboard and streaming charts, aided by the album as a whole being met with universal acclaim. Along with success with his own solo music and collaborative work with Stormzy and Jay Prince, Mura started his own label, Anchor Point Records, and signed on Bonzai and duo Jadu Heart.

Jorja Smith
Genre: R&B / Soul / Jazz
Latest Release: Project 11 EP
From: Walsall, England
Age: 20
One of the most buzzed about artists to come from England is the songstress Jorja Smith. With a vocal tone easiest described as a mix of powerful like Amy Winehouse and beautiful like Lauryn Hill, Jorja has been a key voice behind songs for America’s newest and biggest acts. As of now her Biggest American Moment is the moment we are living in right now. US publications and blogs are eagerly awaiting a full length project from the singer, making the buzz larger then even after her stunning debut EP “Project 11″. Her short feature on Kali Uchis’ lead single “Tyrant” and her haunting intro and hook on Drake’s “Get It Together” has left the world clamoring for more tracks and features from her.
Tumblr media
J Hus
Genre: Grime / Hip-Hop
Latest Release: Common Sense LP
From: Stratford, London, England
Age: 22
Grime music’s main disconnect with the American people is the typical abrasiveness of the production. Artists like Stormzy and Skepta are starting to understand how to stay true to Grime while flowing over different kinds of production, but they can both takes notes from J Hus. His playful use of auto-tune and production that sounds more in the vein American Hip-Hop then his UK contemporaries is something that has lead to his crossover into the US. His Biggest American Moment came in the form of praise from publications such as Complex and Pigeons & Planes, by ranking J Hus’ debut LP “Common Sense” near the top in their mid-year album rankings. The boy from Stratford, originally inspired by 50 Cent to rap, has come across the pond with the highest ceiling in terms of mainstream appeal.

Vegyn
Genre: Electronic
Latest Release: Phone Phoneys EP
From: London, England
Age: 23
Vegyn has taken a stance on the UK dance music scene, and it’s something he isn’t to happy with. Seeing the scene as bland, and wishing to add more fun into it, Vegyn began making his own music, starting with his debut “All Bad Things Have Ended” and eventually evolving into his current form on his “Phone Phoneys” EP. Though his solo music is whimsical and fun in it’s own right, his Biggest American Moment came from being affiliated with one of the largest figures in American music. The mysterious genius Frank Ocean. Having credits on both of Ocean’s 2016 release’s  (”Endless” and “Blonde”) was the first step, leading him into the role of being the host of Blonded Radio, a mix show held on Beats1 that has been the jumping point for Frank’s newest singles, occasional interview and a mix of other eye-popping music.

Inside the super-sized Glee reunion on The Flash-Supergirl musical crossover
Darren Criss is singing his heart out. Grant Gustin and Melissa Benoist are tap dancing. “It’s literally a Glee episode,” Gustin jokes. No, the Fox series hasn’t been revived. The trio are actually reuniting for the first time since their days on the Emmy-nominated hit series for a different kind of musical — and Criss may finally get his revenge.
His Glee character, Blaine Anderson, received a slushy facial from Gustin’s Sebastian Smythe back in 2012, but now the tables have turned, with Criss assuming the mantle of the dastardly DC Comics villain Music Meister in the highly anticipated Flash/Supergirl musical crossover. “It is funny that the last time I worked with Grant, he was the bad guy and he was singing at me, and now I’m the bad guy singing at him,” Criss says. Though it’s a different set, with the quick turnaround and prep, Criss concurs that this all feels familiar. “It’s just Glee,” he says.
In the March 21 episode of The Flash, Barry (Gustin) and Kara (Benoist) find themselves trapped in a movie musical of the Meister’s creation — an hour that has been years in the making. “We’ve always talked about doing it, from the very beginning, more in a joking way,” says executive producer Andrew Kreisberg. Gustin, however, was initially curious. “I didn’t ever think it would be a real thing, so when they told me it was real, I was like, ‘How?!‘”
Here’s how: As the Scarlet Speedster and Girl of Steel experience turmoil in their interpersonal relationships, they’re whammied by the Music Meister, a less mustache-twirling, more manipulative villain who causes victims to break into song. The character was famously voiced by Neil Patrick Harris in the Batman: The Brave and the Bold animated series. “I have made a pretty decent career of only taking over roles as made famous by child stars,” jokes Criss, who also played the titular wizard in the Harry Potter musical.
“I could not be happier that he’s here,” gushes Benoist, whose Glee character Marley Rose was mentored by Blaine. “He’s killing this role. He’s bringing such a fun energy, the way he did on Glee as well.”
Being fans of movie musicals as kids, the power-stripped heroes end up trapped in a golden-age send-up involving rival gangs and their kids falling in love — though expect many of the couples to come with a twist. The only way out? Follow the Meister’s script till the end. It may be a prison to them, but it’s heaven to Benoist. Noting she was born in the wrong era, the actress takes delight in the vintage ambience while sitting on a ’40s-era nightclub set. “Not that I don’t love the [Supergirl] suit, but it just feels good playing the same character in a completely different setting,” she says. “I’m eating this up.”
The Glee alums aren’t the only big names attached to the special episode. In a nod to Kara’s favorite film Wizard of Oz, everyone else in the vocally impressive cast is playing a character within this movie, from Jesse L. Martin, Victor Garber, and John Barrowman as rival mob bosses to Jeremy Jordan’s club pianist and Carlos Valdes’ aspiring artist busboy. Cherry-picking the movie musical genre — West Side Story, Singing in the Rain, and Guys and Dolls among the show’s inspirations — the hour also features some original songs, including “Runnin’ Home to You” from Oscar-winning La La Land duo Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, as well as the bubbly and playful Rachel Bloom co-penned tap duet “Super Friend.” “It’s a goofy song and it’s very consistent with that style of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend,” Gustin says.
“We were approached by Rachel Bloom, who reached out to us and she really wanted to write a song for us,” Kreisberg explains. “And Greg [Berlanti] had a relationship with Pasek and Paul, so we sat down with them — we hadn’t even seen La La Land with them, but Greg had been such huge fans of theirs.”
The episode also includes several covers, among them the Benoist solo “Moon River,” and an ensemble performance of Jackie DeShannon’s “Put a Little Love in Your Heart” that brings the denizens of the ’40s nightclub to their feet as the Meister conducts Jordan, Valdes, and John Barrowman in an epic, upbeat dance number choreographed by Glee’s Zachary Woodlee. “Some things are just star-crossed,” Valdes says of his two worlds — superheroes and musicals — colliding. “Some things are just destined and written in the stars. This felt like one of those instances where it was just something that was going to happen.”
Jordan concurs: “Ever since they announced the cast of our show — plus the casts of Flash and other shows having so many musical theater people in them — it was only a matter of time before they harnessed those talents and made something into it.”
All involved have unquestionable talents when it comes to singing, but Barrowman says the DeShannon piece doesn’t play to his strengths: “I’m exceptionally confident vocally, but they show me the dance steps and I’m not a hip-hopper, no way,” says Barrowman, who practices his moves on set between takes. “I panicked.” Still, Barrowman was determined to be involved once he learned of the crossover. “I hadn’t heard anything and I just basically then said, ‘I think you would be daft or stupid not to have me in this, really,'” he says. “But they planned on it all along.”
On the flip side, Gustin says he was excited about slipping back into his dance shoes. “More than anything else, my true foundation was tap dance,” the actor says. “It’s been cool to get back to it.” Adds Benoist: “It’s funny how things stay in your muscle memory. It was fun to pick it back up again and see your body and be like, ‘Oh, we remember how to do this.'”
With everyone in one room, Barrowman admits, “I’m a bit fan-boying out to be honest,” explaining that he watched his castmates’ former projects Glee and Smash. “What a nerd,” Jordan responds upon hearing the news. “He plays it super cool backstage, so you wouldn’t know he was geeking out.”
Beyond Glee, the hour marks an even bigger reunion as Gustin and Supergirl‘s Chris Wood — who, along with co-star David Harewood, will guest in the crossover, but not sing — went to school together, while Criss counts Valdes, Pasek, and Paul as classmates. “It’s been a very sentimental crossover on so many levels,” Criss says. “Every day, every scene my mind is being blown. I can’t believe I’m here with Melissa Benoist and Carlos Valdes. ‘How do you guys even know each other? Oh, that’s right, you’re both superheroes!'”
Fun fact: Another classmate of theirs, Andy Mientus, also previously played a villain on The Flash, with Criss joking it’s about damn time he appeared in the Berlanti-verse. “I was wondering why everybody else I knew had been on the show but me,” Criss says with a laugh. In truth, Kreisberg says Criss was destined to play this role. “Darren so brings him to life,” the EP says. “I’m not sure who we would have gotten to do it if Darren had said no, but it turned out to be one of those things where we wanted Darren and Darren actually wanted the part. It was very kismet.”
Should the crossover prove successful, Kreisberg even has hopes for a sequel, and Criss would be elated to return to the wild, wild world of singing superheroes. “I would have liked to have written some songs,” quips the actor and musician, who landed the role too late in the process to do so. “I want to come back, I’m not done — then I’ll have my true payback!” Watch out, Flash!
The musical crossover will kick off at the end of Supergirl‘s March 20 hour, with the majority of the action taking place during The Flash‘s March 21 episode, both airing at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.

Do you know of any good Voltron fics with hurt Keith?? I can never find any, and if I do they're super shippy. Ships are fine, but I really enjoy some good gen. Thanks!
I definitely have some of these, though not nearly as much as I have hurt!Lance. I’ll see what I can do.
Between by SilverkleptofoxWords: 2,086 Author’s Summary: Between the biggest revelation of his life and his whole world changing, there is no time for Keith to rest and recover. His teammates make sure he does anyway. Tag to Season 2 Episode 8.My Comments: Almost unnecessarily detailed hurt/comfort based on canon injuries, haha. I love it.
Measuring Up by MoonlitWaterSunnyRiverWords: 1,092 Author’s Summary: Keith has insomnia, and finally decides to *do* something about it. Turns out he’s not the only one up at night. Keith & Lance friendship, written for Platonic VLD Week. My Comments: Aw, boys. Good talk.
Scattered by avidbeaderWords: 27,974 (WIP 11/?)Author’s Summary: Separated by Haggar’s parting shot, the Alteans and their new Paladins must regroup and find one another across the galaxies. Along the way, they will discover tragedy, treachery, and hope. Season 2 AU, no ships. My Comments: Really good action fic following the Season 1 finale. I got sucked into all of the paladins’ separate adventures really quickly, and it’s so satisfying to watch them slowly reunite. I’m really worried about Keith, though.
Aftermath by tristen84Words: 1,975 Author’s Summary: After his ordeal at the Blade of Marmora base, Keith turns out to be in worse shape than he thought. Hunk and Lance try to help. My Comments: I believe there was a call for more post-ep 8 Keith whump? Yes, it is here. I especially like that it’s Lance and Hunk who do the supporting in this one.
Insomnia by GriffinRoseWords: 15,278 Author’s Summary: They reunite after the Wormhole Incident all in one piece. Mostly. But some scars can’t be seen. Keith can’t sleep, no matter how hard he tries. Luckily he’s got the best team/family ever who are not about to let this go. No, seriously, they won’t let it go.My Comments: Absolutely wonderful, subtle hurt/comfort and teamy goodness. What was really wrong and how to fix it was obvious to me early on, but it was fun to watch the team slowly figure it out.
Casserole by genericfanaticWords: 1,922 Author’s Summary: After Shiro “dies” on the Kerberos mission, Keith is all alone. Some days are harder than others. My Comments: This author really excels at sharp, almost harsh depictions of pain and grief that are so realistic that you can feel it yourself. So good.
Wolves by Utsukushin (UserFromPluto)Words: 2,498 Author’s Summary: Keith’s hands shook, and for a second he allowed himself to give in to weakness, slumping forward so his upper body rested on Red’s dashboard. His eyes slipped closed, and immediately he was assaulted with a brutal wave - flashes of laser blasts and screams, the violent jolting of his lion in combat, tiny droplets of blood flying off his sword… “Keith?” (Keith has a hard time calming down after battles)My Comments: Stressed-out, hyper-vigilant Keith is really well-written and vivid, and the team’s concerted effort to surround him and make him feel safe again is lovely.
No Desert For You by MikiriWords: 5,373 Author’s Summary: They may have won, but what happens after? Keith worries of returning to Earth and the team comforts him as best they can.My Comments: SO sweet and comforting. Wonderful paladin pile, and I love how they just went around the room taking turns telling Keith that he’s been adopted and he’s not going back to the desert alone. Ever.
A Little Unsteady (Hold Onto Me) by DeerstalkerDeathFrisbeeWords: 13,385 Author’s Summary: Takashi Shirogane is nine years old when he holds his brother for the first time. “I’m here,” he’d whispered to his fussing baby brother, “I’m here, I’m here, I’m here.” And Keith stopped crying. He didn’t laugh; he looked up at Shiro with big, skeptical eyes. A challenge. Like this tiny person was saying ‘oh yeah, prove it’. And Shiro, newly nine years old, promised that he’d prove it. Shiro and Keith’s childhood in moments. My Comments: Modern setting AU, but with a few tweaks I could absolutely see this working in canon-verse. It’s incredibly touching and well-written, and Shiro’s development from reluctant child to fiercely protective big brother was beautiful to watch. Both boys went through a lot of heartache, but by the end they’re together, and you know they’re going to be okay.
Closure by wolfsan11Word Count: 7,837 Author’s Summary: Between finding Pidge’s family and healing up from the final battle against Zarkon, the Paladins only think of heading home, back to Earth. Keith has a hard time with that idea and the team helps. My Comments: This is just the sweetest. Everyone needs to hug Keith and reassure him that they’re family, no matter what.
A Gift Horse by To Be or Not to- Oh forget it (Mikki)Words: 17,801 Author’s Summary: The paladins of Voltron are the universe’s only hope, and they are ready to fight against the Galra. The only problem is, they’re one short. After stumbling their way through freeing a planet however, they might just find the solution to their problem in the form of a ‘gift of gratitude’. No one is happy about it.My Comments: Tagged as slight Klance, but reads gen. Warning for abuse, including implied sexual abuse, and slavery. So yeah. Team Voltron is “given” a Keith who has been raised as a Galra and enslaved for years. And then they proceed to absolutely bungle their handling of him. But I really liked Lance doing his best to get to know Keith as a person rather than a problem to be solved, and I find the concept really interesting. This is one of those fics where I want to write the sequel, because a LOT of work is going to need to be done to get these characters anywhere near healed after something like this.
Trial by Ordeal by To Be or Not to- Oh forget it (Mikki)Words: 89,187 Author’s Summary: They’re supposed to be two sides of the same coin, or something like that. The truth is a bit more complicated. (Character study of Keith and Lance)My Comments: This is long, but absolutely worth the effort. Warning for depictions of abuse in both parts, but it’s treated realistically and respectfully. There were parts in Keith’s chapter that I had to stop reading for a while and do something else, and pretty much everything in Lance’s chapter made me ache for him and the family he left behind. But it’s really, really good. Amazingly well-written and deep and lifelike, and it all makes so much sense, for both of these characters. I’ll be thinking about this one for a long, long time.
Burning Bright by RaccoonDoomWords: 2,221 Summary: For an anon request on my tumblr: “Can you do a klance fic where Keith is sick and Lance is surprisingly good at taking care of him despite his mood swings and bouts of delirium?” Not exactly what they requested but eh close enough. The first time sickness hit the team, it hit Keith. Hard. At least it’s easier to be sick when you have a team than when you’re alone in the desert. My Comments: Keith doesn’t know when to ask for help, but fortunately he doesn’t have to. Lance acts exasperated, but I think he secretly likes being needed, and he’ll step in wherever he can.
Keith Alone by cheshirereeWords: 5,328 Summary: Keith grows up alone, then he gains a family. It somehow becomes a cycle. Vent fic. My Comments: Very sad at the beginning, but well-written backstory and character study. This history for Shiro and Keith makes a lot of sense, and I loved the way Keith gradually came to accept the other paladins, too, and learn to interact with them. They have more in common than they believe at first.
An Echo of Thunder by WashiPuppyWords: 6,934 Author’s Summary: Good thing Lance has a plan. Okay, the second part of the plan had a few holes. It was a work-in-progress. Keith didn’t need to know that though. My Comments: HOLY EVERYTHING BATMAN I LOVE THIS FIC SO MUCH. I can’t even…I don’t want to spoil it! Just, okay, Lance and Keith are in trouble, right, and they both want to protect each other, isn’t that adorable, but THE LIONS. RED AND ALSO BLUE. Read it read it read it. If you read nothing else on the list this week, read this one. It made me SO happy. Fave. Fave of all time.
Call of Duty by APendingThought for MilkTeaMikuWords: 4,184 Author’s Summary: Lance thought he could handle most things when it came to Keith. He was not prepared for an infant Keith with an ear infection, however. My Comments: I may be aro/ace, and I definitely am, but there is still a very id part of me that is EXTREMELY pleased with the image of an attractive man taking care of a baby, and this story fed that part of me in the most wonderful way. Sweet and satisfying.
Conditional Acceptance by yet_intrepidWords: 6,914 Author’s Summary: Shiro’s looking for a job. Keith, new to the Garrison, needs a tutor to be allowed to stay. He also needs a lot of other things - a decent meal plan, for one, but more importantly, a friend. My Comments: Oh, gosh, this fic broke my heart, but it’s SO good. I would happily accept this as canon. I mean, I kind of have already. Poor Keith is so scared and sad and needy, and Shiro is nervous and out of his depth but so badly wants to help. And Matt as Shiro’s roommate is amazing. I just adore this one to pieces.
What If The Storm Ends? by earthstarWords: 17,913 Author’s Summary: After the fight with Zarkon, Keith finds himself stranded alone on a strange forest planet. All hope seems lost when he gets bitten by venomous creature, but he finds aid from someone he’s not sure he can trust. My Comments: I usually avoid Galra!Keith stuff, idk why, guess I want to see what canon does first. But I am a HUGE sucker for a wise and protective adult trying to take care of a scared and needy kid, and that’s what this is. The plot is great, as well as the character interactions and development, and I would happily accept this in canon.
Standing on the Edge by LenoirWhittlethornWords: 2,901 (WIP)Author’s Summary: Keith doesn’t know how to ask for hugs. My Comments: Golly, I am just ACHING for more of this. It’s so cute and sweet and touching. Keith needs all the hugs, omg. He doesn’t know how to ask, but fortunately the others know how to give.
assistance by asexualreyWords: 1,096 Author’s Summary: Keith managed to break his leg and Lance almost feels sorry for him. My Comments: This one is short and sweet, a little funny, a little sad, but very in character. I would like for these silly boys to be friends eventually, please.
Prison Bonds by GriffinRoseWords: 18,295 Author’s Summary: Keith and Lance are captured and stuck in a cell together, but it’s not the Galra. They almost wish it was. These Cordalians feed off of emotions, and their favorite emotion is sadness. Worse, they’ve found a way to make their victims relive their worst memories to make that pain fresh again, and Keith has a lot of terrible memories he’d rather not relive. My Comments: SO GOOD. SO MUCH PLATONIC CUDDLING. Lance and Keith are both suffering horribly, and all they can do is comfort each other and wait for rescue. I’m so happy that it’s gen, too. And it’s finished! Run, don’t walk. It’s so great.
Impractical Immune Responses by hufflepirateWords: 4,829 Author’s Summary: Keith discovers that he’s horribly allergic to something on the new planet they’ve landed on, and Coran discovers that his cryopods are completely unable to do anything about seasonal allergies. Luckily, the rest of the team has some ideas about what to do. Keith may not be good at acknowledging his weaknesses, asking for help, or letting other people take care of him, but he’s about to get a LOT of practice - enough to start surprising himself. My Comments: I really like how EVERYONE has an important role in this, all doing their best to take care of Keith and help him feel better. And Keith’s development is really lovely, as he starts off scared and distant then slowly warms up to the idea of leaning on his teammates for help. It’s a very sweet fic with a bit of depth, just how I like my h/c.
You stole a BABY?! by genericfanaticWords: 24,324 Author’s Summary:  The castle ship has a new stowaway, and Keith and Lance must figure out how to take care of them without alerting the rest of the crew. My Comments: Warning for child abuse, though it’s in the past. But yeah, this is a great angsty, h/c fic with endgame Klance but more importantly, Keith and Lance taking care of an adorable alien child. It’s well thought-out and plotted, and I enjoyed it from beginning to end. Loved Lance being smart and analytical with his research and Keith showing his fighting chops in an unfamiliar situation, too.
