BUT THEY DID…..AND THERE WAS BLOOD UNDER HIS SKIN….AND HIS LIPS WERE GLOSSED…AND HE HAD A LIT #LE BIT OF TAREME AND TSURIME (TARIME) ACTION ON HIS EYES AND EVERYTIME HE WALKED HIS ROBES KIND OF FLUTTERED AS HE SHUFFLED ALONG I HAD TO #SIT ON THE BATHROOM FLOOR lay down on the bathroom floor and I almpst puked from how nauseous it made me i was OVERJOYED BEYOND MY PHYSICAL #LIMITATIONS OF HAPPINESS . I WAS SO HAPPY. THIS YEAR HAS BEEN UTTERLY MISERABLE FOR ME AND I HAVE NOT BEEN THIS DEPRESSED SINCE HIGH SCHOOL #BUT SEEING LUCILIUS like this genuinely blew me off my socks . I would actually kind of like the “becomes a doctor and takes over Leslie’s clinic” story…for Damian.

NOT because I think it would be ~ethical~ or idk whatever-the-fuck.

I just really love the concept of Damian having this “I HAVE A BIG IMPORTANT DESTINY” backstory/lineage/bloodline …

…SON OF THE BAT, and all that jazz…

But when he connects with Gotham and the people in it—because Batman should be connected to the people he’s protecting—Damian realizes that he doesn’t actually WANT “his” destiny.

And it’s not about rejecting Batman or his father or his mother or anything like that, but instead about taking what he’s learned and what they’ve given him and shaping it to fit himself.

(or normal for him.) #so during the *day*—maybe one of his ‘people he is friendly with’ has some mundane bad thing happen to them and dies. #like idk maybe an old lady friend has a heart attack and dies. #what do you do when there isn’t an enemy to fight? #just ‘move on’? isn’t the whole reason they do what they do predicated on his father NOT accepting that he should ‘just move on’? #anyway there would also be metacommentary about the nature of comics and that… #…you don’t really have control about what happens after your series or after your run. #or even what happens to a character YOU create.

SUPER DARK TIMES (2017) DIR KEVIN PHILLIPS

#tragically had to skip the 'are you afraid of me' exchange i love at the start bc. this scene is Long #super dark times #josh templeton #zach taylor #sam edits #btw i'm firmly in the 'Josh didn't kill John' camp. bc to me THIS scene is the point that... makes the most sense as Josh's breaking point/ #'villain turn' if that's what you'd want to call it. because this is really when Josh... sort of 'officially' loses Zach. from early on in #the movie it becomes clear how much Zach is like... an anchor for him—the way Josh is just fucking *chanting* his name in distress during #the Daryl accident. The way Josh begs Zach to believe him that it was an accident. The way Josh turns to Zach for answers/clarity/direction #Like even if we want to take a cynical approach and think of it as Josh just latching onto Zach in the Daryl situation because he was There #rather than that being an established thing w/ them... in the aftermath of that same incident Josh is still looking to/depending on him! #Josh self isolates at first... but after they talk & Zach tells him they shouldn't act weird Josh goes back to school. (yes #he lashes out there because He's Dealing With The Crushing Guilt but *all* of 'em are acting off then—Charlie specifically calls attention #to the idea they all probably are) Josh goes to the party just like Zach said they should and is *visibly confused* when Zach seems mad to #see him there. He goes to Zach's house to talk and you can SEE how caught off guard he is by what Zach says. Even though the script version #of this scene is VERY different from the final version I do think this one bit of description from it is... insightful: 'Josh seems sincere #almost vulnerable. But Zach is too focused to see it.' LIKE in this scene Zach is already convinced Josh has lost it! He's trying to act #more neutral about it (claiming they could just 'draw a line') but we saw his phone call with Charlie. Because of his own guilt-fueled #paranoia—something shown pretty clearly through the assorted dream sequences and like tht scene of him walking in the hall hearing people #gossip about Daryl—it seems like everything lines up too well! that '*of course* it's Josh and what if it's *been* Josh all along and well #then the role *I* played in the situation really isn't *my* fault because it was all *Josh* and...' etc. even if that's more subconscious #But like... this scene is really when it hits Josh! from the moment he asks if Zach's afraid of him now like... there's a shift. although #Zach says he isn't... i mean he fucking stumbles on the word 'afraid' (like... he hangs on the 'f' sound a moment too long to sound natural #its very subtle but like Noticeable). But Josh sees right through him. Zach doesn't trust him anymore. Zach thinks he's the bad guy. the #monster. Josh feeling like he lost the last person he had in his corner feels like the most realistic thing to... push him over the #edge. like that's a compelling tragedy to me—the idea that these two poorly coping with the Daryl situation in these separated ways where #they *aren't* talking/communicating ends up CREATING the feedback loop that makes everything get worse and worse. #But for that to be the case... it wouldn't make sense for Josh to have just randomly killed John before this scene. I think it's a more #interesting story if certain things really ARE just coincidences but it's that Zach's paranoia won't let him see that 🤷

I think so often about Tedros ending up whisked away back to your world with you. it's not supposed to be perminant, it's just for a little while before you go back to the endless woods for you next adventure or school year or chapter of your lives (pun intended). besides how fascenated he'd be with the magicless magic you'd described to him (technology) and how much I firmly believe how much he would abso fucking lutely love 7/11 slushies, mostly he would love to get to be a part of your world, just as you've been a part of his. the only problem is how people treat you here. you have to work so fucking hard, people don't spare you a second glance, everyone acts like you're just like everyone else instead of worshipping the ground you walk on. being trained for future fairytales is a different kind of hard than the job and/or school and other responsibilities of your contemporary life, and it was a solace you had welcomed with open arms. you got to dress in beautiful clothes most would consider impractical, eat food you had only dreamed of before. you had time for liesure, reading under trees and staring out windows and soaking in long luxurious baths. you got to rest in a way you never had before, not having to push yourself every single moment. and of course, the moment Tedros fell for you, you gained a new sort of status. not only were you floating on a sweet, sugary cloud of leisure, but you were treated with so much respect, like true future royalty of camelot. you took to the role so well, and Tedros had never been more sure that he made the right decision. so here, watching you get treated so... disposably, like you're just a part of the herd, another employee another student, Tedros can't stand it. he's furious, he wants to walk over to your professors or teachers or boss and put a sword to their throat, demand the respect that his true love, his future co monarch deserves. most of all, he's more sure than anything that you don't belong here. you belong with him in camelot, you belong by his side. he has never wanted to pamper you, to spoil you and keep you right in the lap of luxury more than he does now. you're not one to shy away from hard work, but you shouldn't have to work so hard. he knows the moment you get back to the endless woods, he's never letting anyone treat you with anything besides the utmost respect. you should be pampered by faries, in the finest garments, dancing with him around a ball room right now. always. as soon as you get back, he thinks, he's going to spoil you so much to make up for all this lost time.

#sorry this is like partially a joke but also not really #ive grown up around enough professional artists to say that i absolutely do not want to go into art as a profession though and actually #i kind of discourage it for others too #its not a very stable career and also if art is your passion then you should really really reconsider #because art school and especially art career can drain that love and passion right out of you #im not trying to fearmonger or crush anyone’s dreams or anything i think that an art career can be really fulfilling for some people #but i also think a lot of younger or self taught artists will want to have a career in art because it’s something #theyre already passionate about and it seems like an easy choice #to just do what you like to earn money #and that sounds great but being a professional artist will turn “doing what i love because i love doing it” to #“doing what i love because i have to do it” and that can really quickly turn into “doing what i used to love but now resent bc i have to ea #i once started drawing only kind of because i felt like i had to for fandom reasons and that killed my enjoyment of art for like. #5 whole months. i had to retrain myself to be passionate about art. #so for me an art career is the absolute last thing i want to do

I don't remember why but I dreamed about looking up the common religions in different regions of Thailand last night

#in addition to like. more regular dreams where someone kidnapped part of our camping/hiking group and I needed to use my knowledge of #dog/wolf behavior to appease a wolf that we needed to pass by to get between two forest clearings and also since my character was a #clean-freak / germaphobe he had the power to have bugs not bother him in the woods and then that all happened twice because ofc we needed to #keep to the story script when it restarted and I had to keep everything on the rails but this time two other wolves also came up and they #all decided I was chill and we left each other alone even while I was de-escalating the kidnapping situation but then the kidnappers started #running away and I was like 'you know what would make them think again? three wolves chasing them' so I got the wolves' attention and #started running and they thought it was some kind of chase game and eventually after a couple times of them catching up with me and thinking #that was it they realized someone ahead of us was also running so THEY were the target and we finally started chasing down the kidnappers #and by this point I was considered part of the pack and also we were in a school gymnasium but right after some sort of fair or assembly so #we had to dodge chairs and tables and stacks of equipment and occasionally children but they mostly kept out of the way #oh and I think after the reset but before the kidnapping there was also a part where one of the other characters (I feel like one of my #siblings was playing this one) insisted that our top priority should be finding clothes and I was like 'wait are you NAKED?' and they were #like 'yeah we all are???' and I was like 'WHAT no I'm fully dressed. my character is wearing a suit and tie! and a hat even!' yeah yeah and #then the kidnappers/bullies came up and one of them was a blond lady with a bolo tie. #btw the reason I'm saying stuff like 'my character'/'was playing a character' is because in this dream it was explicitly characters we were #playing in some sort of game where the focus wasn't roleplay but it had a roleplay-y aspect where the different characters had different #strengths and abilities; such as Betrayal at House on the Hill or Western Legends or Dead of Winter #anyway. as you are all technically strangers, i thought this would be a good place to get unbiased opinions (^:

i'm a people pleaser by nature, so i'm struggling with the whole "it's your wedding! do what makes you and your groom happy, and that's all that matters! if they love you enough, they'll understand."

why? because i want a small wedding. but i also think it'd be nice to have everyone who ever supported me there lol. to keep it relatively small, i think only inviting family would work (this would be under 60 if everyone came from both sides of our family). i don't have many close friends, so this wouldn't be impossible. but my groom definitely has people that he'd like to have at the wedding that aren't related to us. it's just a "if he invites these people, will the category of those people in my life get offended? does it matter, NO, but won't they?" and again, he has told me time and again, that i should do what i want and nothing more.

but oh my GOSH do i worry about having regrets and hurting feelings. like!!!!!!!!!! what's wrong with me!@1!!!!!!! i know if i was giving the advice to someone in my position, i'd say "JUST INVITE WHO YOU WANT TO INVITE! in the grand scheme of things, it doesn't matteR!!!!"

i need to follow my advice. but let me tell you................... it's hard. i'm so stubborn when it comes to knowing what's right for me vs. other people.
