Outfit Replacements (Open Heart: Book 3)

So out of the three OH books, I do think that book 3 has the best female MC outfits overall. Would my MC necessarily wear some of them, no. But they are still good.

"Revamped":

This is probably my favorite dress of the whole series. I love the color and the style. If Claire didn't wear this, she might have worn this instead.

"Heroic Measures":

Ik that Choices can't actually use superheroes from Marvel or DC or anything like that but I can't see Claire wearing this either. In my version of OH they would be allowed to wear Marvel and DC characters so I think Claire would wear either Natasha's costume or Yelena's costume.

"Nothing Ventured":

Again, like I said for book 2, this gives me politician vibes and I don't like it. Below is what she would wear instead

"On Lockdown":

This one is a little much so she probably wouldn't wear all of it but it's fine.

"Sunshine Daydream":

The swim suit itself is nice but I don't really like the coverup. Same thing with the necklaces. Below is what she would wear instead

"Wedding Belle"

I think the dress is fine but not Claire's style. Below is what she would wear.

"Live It Up":

I think the outfit is fine. I would probably get a rid of some of the jewelry/change it to silver as well as choose a different skirt but overall it is pretty good.

"Certifiably Chic":

I do love the outfit. Again I would probably change the jewelry to silver but otherwise it is great.

"Order":

I don't like the outfit. It's giving me receptionist but also a chef vibes for some reason. Below is what she would wear instead

"Farewell":

I don't really like it. something about the shirt and pants are weirding me out for some reason. Below is what she would wear instead.

Let's talk about opening lines.

The first sentence of a book is a hook to draw readers in. I don't know how many times I've read the first sentence of a book and immediately known I was going to find a new favorite.

I picked five of my favorite opening lines from five of my favorite books. Transcripts will be down in the comments, but the books I've included are:

I just want you to know that through your ramblings, I am a WOT book stan without ever having read the books (which I actually want to! bc of you! but my god! so many! so long! if you're interested in starting the books but feel intimidated (i definitely did!! and am frankly amazed i finished them all because i NEVER thought i would) i would really recommend giving the audiobooks a shot! i'm usually not an audiobook person at all and it's true that i never absorbed as much as i did while reading the print book, but the audiobook really helped for getting through slower sections of the books/the character POVs i was less interested in that i would've put off reading forever if i was only reading the hard copy. if i'd had to read all of perrin's chapters in the hard copy rather than just having my dear friends michael and kate read to me whilst i did a fun thing like build a house in the sims, i would still be on book 4 jdkfjgjk i also checked the books out from the library rather than buying them so that i could use the due dates as deadlines by which i Had To finish the book. it is all about playing little tricks on my brain! it also helped immensely that i watched the show first and was already attached to the characters and eager to read about them - i'm not sure if you've seen the show or if truly Everything you know about WOT is just from reading my posts haha but if you haven't then i would recommend starting with the show to warm up for the books!

anyway, i hope you'll like the books if and when you do get around to them! and keep me updated, i would be fascinated to know if the, um, strong opinions of mine that you have likely absorbed from following my blog hold up when you read for yourself, or if you'll go "what was that clown talking about! min is actually amazing and gawyn sucks!" djkjfg
