thinking about jemima + solomon again, particularly solomon and like how i kinda wanna build him up as more than just scaffolding for jemima’s development.

like yes, he is kind and patient still, and won’t coerce or even push a single issue with jemima and her Issues. he can understand, in a guessing sort of way, why jemima backs away after committing, after wanting rhoda, their daughter. but it doesn’t mean he’s still a little bitter, at least, still somewhat in love with her and missing her and sometimes so angry that she could (seemingly) change her mind at the drop of a hat (he knows that’s not true, but it’s a feeling, you know?).
