Tired of going on food shopping trips, I tried a couple of meal plans from the ‘Vegetarian and ‘Veto’ diet menus and it saved me a lot of time on picking out ingredients and cooking. I love cooking but there are times when it’s nice to go out or be cooked for so this really helps! I particularly liked the morning and afternoon snacks in the Vegetarian Diet meal plan, as they don’t make you feel guilty at all. They’re filled with goodness and keep you going throughout the day. I recommend the mango and pineapple smoothie as an afternoon snack and the sweetcorn and feta muffin for a morning snack. And if you don’t do gluten like me the chickpeas bolognaise with gluten free pasta lunch is also delicious.
The Veto diet’s breakfast is less conventional but interesting - I can’t say I’ve ever had a ricotta and courgette tart for breakfast, but I liked it. It was a nice change from porridge or a smoothie even though I try to be as adventurous as I can with my porridge toppings and smoothies. For my lunch, I had something called ‘Shakshuka’ which had bell peppers, tomatoes, smoked paprika, eggs, feta and parsley in it and I just had to warm it up for a few minutes. It was very tasty indeed!
I can see why you might lose weight with this service as there’s no second helpings and they use locally sourced fresh, seasonal and healthy ingredients. They change their diet menus on a weekly basis too, so you’ll never get bored.
