picturing Velvette huddled up on a Hell doorstep 2 hours after she arrived making a list of possible ways to get some power as quickly as possible on a bloodstained cellphone she took off a corpse and it's like
create startup, get aqui-hired
become first hellfluencer
sugar daddy?
startup + collab with a celebrity for more attention
celebrity boyfriend?
become already powerful couple's third, profit
actually find people to work with who respect and value my skills and me as a person <- this one is a joke
and then a year later she's in bed, awake after vox and val have nodded off for once, looking at mockups of the Vee tower design on her phone, and brings up the old list for just a minute to cross everything else out and write in 'all of the above???'

yah like last ask whenever I see your book/writing stuff I’m like “oh yeah. not just a legendary tumble meme lord.”
I feel like an aging opera singer when I'm like, "yes, yes, that was me . . . back in my meme lord youth *coughs, throws feather boa over shoulder*"

ALSO javid au where jack knew davey in high school but was in his edgy loner phase so davey has no idea who jack was except that when jack becomes a famous singer-songwriter davey is like hey I think we went to high school together. hey why do his all pining songs AND his coming to terms with bisexuality anthem sound suspiciously like they're describing me in high school

It’s been a while since I last posted a picture here, but I figured I’d share one now. :-D I’m currently on a cruise with my parents that they got as a sorta graduation gift for me (except that I’m fairly certain I failed my final exam so I’ve not technically graduated yet… oops). Either way, I decided to wear this pretty emerald green (that looks blue with the filters I put on it) dress that I got for less than $10 at a bin store. :-D
(Also, if anyone was unaware, a bin store is a store that has a bunch of bins of stuff that are all sold for the same price. Each day the prices decrease until restock day, when it restarts. My local bin store goes from $15, to $10, $7, $5, $3, then finally $1 before restocking. I either got this dress on the $10, $7, or $5, not sure. I also got my shoes for $1.50 at a close out sale for a Forever 21, so all in all my outfit’s a good deal, which I always love to get. ^-^)

Part of a vent comic about how working retail drained the life out of me. I dont plan on sharing the rest of the comic for personal reasons but maybe this will resonate with some people

For anyone interested in reading a bit of original fiction I wrote, or if you have no interest in reading it but wouldn't mind tossing some coins in the direction of my mounting debts anyway: I've published two short stories!
The Hunt of the Cold Moon and The Running of the Strawberry Moon
The first one is a reprint; the story was originally published through Less Than Three Press in 2012. (The reviews on Goodreads were/are middling to positive, and there's summaries and info there if you're interested, though the joy of self-publishing is that half the purchase links on Goodreads' site don't work.) The stories are best described as fantasy, or LGBT romantic fantasy, with themes of platonic and familial love, chosen family, and perhaps a light dusting of soulmates. (The Hunt of the Cold Moon has a lot of tension in it, but The Running of the Strawberry Moon is a much lighter story.)
I am working on a longer story, also fantasy, also LGBTQIA, though high fantasy in this case. Good sales will motivate me work on it? I dunno. If you're interested, I hope you enjoy. ❤

anyway i've been exclusively shopping online for so long that i've forgotten how inaccessible fashion retailers were like. this particular zara had a flight of steps up to the entrance with no accessible alternative, and all the shoes were displayed in different areas of the store with nowhere to sit and try them on or, as i would have liked to do as a disabled girlie, sit. i eventually perched on the side of a mannequin display and was left alone but i can't say it was exactly ergonomic
and like, the thing is. fashion retailers claim to want to make money, because capitalism, but when you bar large swathes of the population from even getting in the door of your establishment, we all lose. yes the people who make these decisions should care about accessibility as a matter of course, but they're shooting themselves in the foot in the process by excluding many disabled people from shopping with them. don't even get me started on the bright lights, the loud music, how the shop floor is designed in such a way that crowding is pretty much inevitable. i just think that accessibility features are easily google-able and retailers need to do better.
