DpxDc AU - If his parents are going to treat him like a punk, he might as well lean into it.
Danny is getting seriously worn down by his parents constantly asking him to explain why he’s gone all the time and why his grades have slipped so far. I mean, sure, it took them months to notice, but now that they have, they’re alluding to the fact that he’s turned into some kind of punk and that he’s not taking life as seriously as he should be. This is what makes Danny kind of snap.
He cuts his hair, gets Sam to pierce his ears in a few places (which sucked but was nice to catch up with her since Team Phantom didn’t get out much anymore), learns how to skateboard and gets Tuck to help him mask his identity on the internet as he begins online protesting the unethical treatment of ghosts. He makes picket signs that he leaves outside of Fentonworks and it takes days before his parents see them because they’re down in the lab. They go back up immediately after his parents take them down, and he begins tagging buildings with protest sayings and art all over amity park.
No matter how they ground him, the Drs Fenton are at a loss as to what to do to control Danny. Jazz says it’s not her place to interfere and is cheering her little brother on for being passionate about a new hobby.
Danny’s honestly really vibing with the changes. He always understood why Sam wanted control over her own look, but he’s really leaning into the whole shebang. Ember and Johnny13 have never bonded over anything more than they have the punk transformation of their King. He’s really representing them fr fr- she taught him how to play the bass.
With enough protests about the Anti-Ecto acts, the JL step in and begin their efforts to lobby change within the US government. Constantine is up to date on the new King being from Earth and thinks they might be able to weasel out a non-apocalyptic scenario if they reach out sooner than later. A letter gets sent through the infinite realms (No way in fuck was John going to try and summon a fucking King excuse you Bats)- Danny gets the letter and decides to let them sweat a bit, sending back his own letter that just says “K.” cause he’s learned that adults/authority figures all suck ass until proven otherwise. After a few days, a portal opens up in the middle of their meeting.
Ghost King Phantom is rolling in on a skateboard, with the Ring of rage dangling from one of his ear piercings and ice crown floating above his head. He’s drinking an off brand smoothie, wearing a leather jacket that has medieval chainmail on it over his now distressed hazmat suit and his boots steel toed.
“...Sup. Y’all want to do something about this whole situation? I’m an all or nothing kind of guy.” Danny greets them. He means that he’s willing to be diligent in his efforts to disbar the Acts. It gets interpreted as him threatening to end the world, ofc, but that’s an issue he has to deal with later.
“King Phantom we have been working daily to-”
“Uh huh. Look, didn’t you guys have like a teenage group? I want to work with them, they’ll probably actually help me get shit done while you fuck around with paper work.”

More writing here (soz that the masterlist is not up to date lol) | send thoughts/feedback/suggestions here
Somehow, the ill feeling of waiting until summer to see Jack again began to fade with each passing day. The itch to text him every time something exciting or infuriating happened to you began to lessen. The thoughts of him when you saw a funny meme he’d like, or your shared favourite foods on special at the grocery store, quietly stopped happening as frequently.
But then there were the things that didn’t stop. The sharp pain in your chest whenever Jack’s smiling face popped up on your social media feed. The butterflies in your stomach whenever your parents brought him up in conversation, fuelled by whatever the latest updates were from their group message thread with Jim and Ellen. The joy that would wash over you when you heard about a Devils win or a Jack Hughes goal, followed almost always by a wave of sadness that you were hearing about it second or third hand, rather than from Jack himself.
You were the one who’d asked for space. You needed time, you’d said. Given the blow up of All-Star weekend, all Jack was doing was respecting your wishes; but a huge part of you not so secretly wished he’d be a bit more disrespectful and reach out. Your mind was a mess of conflicting thoughts, and your heart wasn’t sure which emotion to feel or where to go next.
Since kindergarten, you’d barely gone more than a few days without seeing or communicating with Jack in some way. Now you were nearly a month without a word, and even though you were still mad at how he’d treated you, you were craving a return to the friendship you’d become so accustomed to. Jack knew you better than anyone, could basically read your mind with a single look, and although you had plenty of friends at college and still around in Toronto from high school, none came close to the camaraderie you shared with Jack. He was someone you could talk to for hours, or sit next to in silence for the same amount of time, it didn’t matter. With Jack, you could be utterly and entirely yourself, no complications. Now it felt like you were always pretending. And it was exhausting.
It was about 9pm on a Thursday night when you found yourself pushing through that exhaustion to try and complete yet another university assignment. For motherfucking economics. You couldn’t wait until you’d completed all of your compulsory economics credits because it was the absolute opposite of your cup of tea, when it came to academic subjects. This assignment was your last one, and you weren’t sure whether to cheer or cry at the idea of hitting the submit button on the online portal. Maybe you should’ve bought a confetti cannon to celebrate. Or a box of wine. Or booked yourself a flight somewhere fun, given you had a break from classes soon.
As soon as the thought of a trip crossed your mind, your phone began to buzz with an incoming video call. A video call from… Luke. Luke Hughes.
Your face scrunched in confusion, as you swiped to answer the call, met with Luke’s smiling face and messy curls.
“Hey sunshine! Long time no see. How have you been?” Luke spoke cheerily. Almost too cheerily.
You were immediately suspicious and narrowed your eyes at the youngest Hughes.
Luke was 3 years old when you met for the first time; he could barely remember a life without you in it. Given how inseparable you and Jack were, Luke became your de facto little brother, always tagging along where he could and joining in your adventures. Later on, when he became a teenager, you were the one Luke would come to when he was having issues with his friends, or trying to build up the courage to ask out the cute girl in his math class, or missing his brothers when they moved away. You were his second call after Ellen when he felt homesick at Michigan, and you were his first call when he had fucked up something that he felt his brothers would never let him live down. Emotional support and damage control, with a healthy dose of teasing and laughs thrown in. That was the dynamic between you and Luke. It also meant you could read him to filth when he was lying to you, and your honesty radar was through the roof at this sudden video call.
“I’m fine, Moose. Just trying to wrap up my final assignment before the break without losing my entire mind.” You offered weakly, half-expecting Luke to make a joke about your mind having been lost years ago, but the joke never came.
Instead, you saw the concern flicker across Luke’s face, just for a moment, before he forced a smile.
“How long is your break for? Any plans?”
“Three weeks, and not really. I promised my mother I’d spend a few days helping her with planning for their anniversary party in June, but that probably won’t happen until right before I go back to school.” You chatted absently, hitting save on your essay and standing up from the couch, bringing your phone with you as you moved into the kitchen to make yourself a drink.
You propped the phone up against the vase on your kitchen bench, reaching up into the cabinet to retrieve a glass.
“Well, you should come visit. We’ve got like 5 home games in a row or something ridiculous coming up. It’d be fun!” Luke’s tone was cheerful, but cautious, like he wasn’t sure how you were going to react.
You hummed in response, moving slightly out of view of your phone to get some ice cubes from your freezer and a soda from the fridge.
“Besides, I heard a rumour that you’ve got an airline voucher to use. I’d hate for it to expire or something.”
You could feel your heart starting to beat faster. Luke knew about the voucher. Did that mean Jack had told him about your fight?
“The voucher won’t expire for three years. I’m sure I’ll manage to use it before then.” You deadpanned, stepping back into frame to see Luke rolling his eyes at you.
“Yeah, sure, but will I survive that long without seeing you? Absolutely not. Come on, sugar. Please? Even if it’s just a weekend?” Luke had moved into full begging mode, with puppy dog eyes and everything.
You sighed, fidgeting with the straw in your drink and avoiding his gaze.
“I don’t… we haven’t talked at all, Luke. I don’t know what he’ll do if I just show up there.” You half-whispered, feeling that all-too-familiar wave of sadness coursing through your veins.
“He talked about you tonight at dinner. Says he misses you. But he doesn’t want to push, or not give you the space you wanted. But right now, he’s on the couch watching Gossip Girl, so…” Luke stated matter-of-factly, staring you down with a knowing look on your face.
Gossip Girl was something you’d insisted Jack get into when you were teenagers, as long as he “wanted to be called your official best friend”. And The OC. And Gilmore Girls. And One Tree Hill. And basically any other teen drama series you could think of. Collectively, those shows had thousands of episodes, and you always found yourself settling down to watch them whenever you were missing Jack more than usual. You’d never realised before that he did the same.
“Should… should we tell him I’m coming? I don’t want him to get upset by a bad surprise.”
“Not at all, sugar. Book the flight and send me the details, I’ll sort out the rest.” Luke’s beaming smile made a smile of your own creep onto your face, as you nodded at him and went to retrieve your laptop from the couch to log onto the airline website.
“Now that that’s sorted, I was wondering, what does it mean when a girl asks me what my sun, moon and rising are? Should I be worried? Or is it a good thing?”
–
Two days later, you were done with your semester and on your way to the airport. Luke had suggested you book a one-way flight, “That way, you can go home whenever you like!”, but you were starting to feel like the whole thing was a mistake.
Nonetheless, you pushed through those feelings and boarded your flight. The whole ordeal took less than two hours, and soon enough you found yourself navigating the arrivals area at Newark airport. You spotted Luke’s lanky figure, clad in a Michigan sweatshirt, with his back to you. You couldn’t help but creep up on him and poke his side, cracking up with laughter as Luke jumped at least three feet into the air. He’d always been the easiest to scare, ever since you were kids.
Luke cussed you out, and then pulled you into a bone-crushing hug.
“Missed your face, sugarplum.” Luke murmured, as you pulled away from each other and he rested his hands on your shoulders, studying you.
“Aw, Lukey. I’d say I’d missed yours too, but we really gotta do something about that hair.” You poked your tongue out as the youngest Hughes brother’s jaw dropped in mock offense.
You retrieved your bag from the luggage carousel, and headed out to where Luke had parked. The two of you fell into easy conversation as Luke navigated through the New Jersey streets back to the apartment he shared with Jack.
You managed to bury most of the nerves, but they came bubbling back to the surface when Luke pulled into the parking garage at the bottom of his building.
“Is… um… Is Jack home? Alone?” You managed to squeak out, and Luke looked at you like you were crazy.
Ever since All-Star weekend, you’d been having a recurring nightmare about Jack and the girl from the messages you’d accidentally become privy to. In particular, it was a scenario where you would come home from wherever you’d been out, and opened the apartment door to find them… entangled, on every possible surface you could think of. You felt yourself starting to feel ill as the images from your nightmares started to flash back into your mind.
“He’s alone. Ever since… ever since he came home early from All-Star, he’s been alone. None of the… usual visitors have been over. And he hasn’t been going to theirs, either. Not even when we’re on a roadie.” Luke said carefully, and you could tell he was trying not to upset you.
You could also tell that he was being honest. Because you could always tell when he was lying. But your mind was running a million miles a minute. Jack hadn’t… for a month? Because of his fight with you? You loved Jack, but you also knew (despite wishing that you didn’t know at all) that it had been years since he’d gone that long without intimacy. In fact, it was probably the longest since losing his virginity that Jack hadn’t fulfilled his desires.
Your mind was starting to wander into the gutter, and you pressed your eyes closed to bring yourself back to Earth. All you could do was nod at Luke, before you both hopped out of the car and into the elevator. Luke insisted on carrying your luggage, so you found yourself fidgeting incessantly with your hands as the elevator climbed to the correct floor.
You trailed behind Luke as he strode towards the apartment door and unlocked it, stepping inside and putting your bag down. He looked back and waved you into the apartment, pressing a finger to his lips. You tiptoed across the doorway, and your heart softened at the scene before you.
You could see the back of Jack’s head leaned up against the couch, and an episode of Gilmore Girls playing on the TV mounted on the wall. In fact, it was one of your favourite episodes; where Jess comes back and shows Rory the book he wrote, and calls her out for dropping out of Yale. You smiled ruefully as you thought about the parallels between that episode and your current situation with Jack, as the argument between Jess and Rory played out on the screen.
What do you mean?
You know what I mean! I know you. I know you better than anyone! This isn't you!
…
This isn't you! This! You going out with this jerk, with the Porsche! We made fun of guys like this!
You caught him on a bad night.
This isn't about him! Okay? Screw him! What's going on with you? This isn't you, Rory. You know it isn't. What's going on?
I don't know. I don't know…
“Are we Team Jess or Team Rory this time, Jacky?” Luke called out, making you jump.
“Team Jess all the way, obviously. Where have you bee-” Jack stopped dead in his tracks as he turned to face his brother, and instead saw you in the middle of his living room.
Jack’s face was a revelation. Confusion, at first. Then the briefest flash of hurt and anguish. Then a smile. Then caution and uncertainty, as he slowly stepped towards you.
You let a breath you hadn’t realised you were holding, and quickly moved across the room, clumsily throwing your arms around your best friend. You felt Jack freeze momentarily, almost as if he was shocked at your touch, but that soon passed and you felt his hands slide around your waist and squeeze, bringing your bodies as close together as possible.
You nestled your head on Jack’s shoulder, breathing in his scent. His thumbs softly rubbed up and down your side, and you felt him press a soft kiss into your hair. You stayed like that for a minute, or maybe longer, relaxing into the embrace.
The sound of the apartment door slamming shut made you jolt, and you rolled your eyes as you realised that Luke had tried to sneak way unnoticed and failed miserably.
“Hi.” Jack whispered, pulling back from you slightly but keeping his hands locked around you.
“Hi.” You whispered back, reaching up to brush his hair out of his eyes.
“Is it still shit hair? Or better now it’s longer?” Jack teased, rolling his tongue between his teeth.
“Better. But only slightly.” You teased back, your hands slipping down to the back of his neck comfortably.
The warmth of the surprise arrival was starting to fade. The dread you’d felt over addressing your fight with Jack was starting to set in, fast. The guilt you felt for being the catalyst for over a month for not speaking to your best friend was washing over you. Your heart rate was through the roof, and your palms were beginning to sweat.
Jack sensed your change in mood, and pulled away from you to look you up and down.
“Are you hungry? Do you want to shower? Or take a nap?” He was nervous, too.
“I ate before my flight. And showered this morning. And it’s 11am, so I think I’m good on the nap front. But I do think we should… we should talk. About everything.” You were basically tripping over your words at this point, but Jack’s reassuring nod helped to calm your nerves.
Wordlessly, Jack took your hand and led you over to the couch, gesturing for you to sit. You sat down and faced him, crossing your legs and resting your hands on your knees, still fidgeting with your hoodie sleeves.
“I’m sorry - “ You both said unanimously, a gentle laughter filling the room.
“I’m sorry I needed so much time apart, J. It fucking sucked, and it was my fault, and I just didn’t -” You began to ramble, only stopping when Jack leaned over and squeezed your knee reassuringly.
“You only needed that time because I was an asshole, sugar. It’s on me, really. I had no right to treat you like an occasional friend, or something that I shouldn’t prioritise -” Jack paused as you cringed, remembering the text messages that referred to his time with you as “boring family bullshit”.
“I was thinking with my dick, not with my head, and that’s not fair on anyone.” You shot Jack a weird look, and he looked sheepish in return.
“Quinn… Quinn said that to me. After you told him to tell me about the messages. He’s right, thought. It wasn’t fair.” Jack continued, pausing to take a deep breath.
“This whole… thing, this life -” Jack gestured broadly at the apartment around you, and you glanced around properly for the first time. Framed jerseys of Luke and Jack’s adorned the walls.Various photos of the Hughes family scattered about the place. The fridge, with a gas bill stuck to it, along with a polaroid of you and Jack from last Christmas. And a photo from your senior prom. And a group photo of everyone from last summer at the lake house, Jack’s mouth open in laughter with his arm slung over your bikini-clad shoulders.
“It’s all I thought I ever wanted. And it’s amazing, and I’m so grateful. But it’s worth nothing to me, the money, the girls -” You felt yourself involuntarily cringe again. “The fame, the accolades, it’s worth nothing to me without the people that I love by my side. And if those people don’t know how much I love and appreciate them, because I treat them like shit, then that’s on me. No one else. Me.”
You sat quietly, taking in Jack’s emphatic statement. You weren’t quite sure what to say. So instead, you gently reached over and took Jack’s hand in yours, lacing your fingers through his and squeezing softly, for a moment while you gathered your thoughts.
“I know the life you live, Jack. You don’t have to be sorry for it. Playing hockey was all you ever dreamed of, and I honestly can’t blame you for… enjoying… all the perks it comes with.” You swallowed the wave of nausea that hit you, before continuing.
“I don’t… I don’t know what life looks like without you in it. The last month was such a bizarre experience, and not one that I ever want to repeat, but I also… I need to… Can I be honest?” You spoke softly, glancing up from your hands to meet Jack’s gaze, and he nodded encouragingly at you.
“I wasn’t just upset because you made me feel like I was inconveniencing you, or cock-blocking you -” It was Jack’s turn to cringe. “I think I was upset because I was jealous. Because that will never, ever be me. And I think… I think I want it to be? Maybe? Fuck, I don’t know!” You dropped Jack’s hand and stood up from the couch, and started to pace the room.
“Sugar, please sit down.” Jack pleaded, and you paused, looking back at him on the couch. One look was all you needed, and you narrowed your eyes at the smirk on his dumb face.
“Why are you smirking? I am experiencing emotional distress, you asshole.” You seethed, running your hands through your hair in frustration.
“Tell me more about this jealousy thing. I’m intrigued.” Jack’s tone was light and teasing, and washed over you like sour milk. Your head whipped in his direction and your face must’ve said a thousand words, because Jack’s smirk soon disappeared and he hurriedly stood up and walked over, reaching out to touch you.
“See, this -” You jabbed a finger into Jack’s chest. “This is why I have avoided this conversation for almost my entire life. Because you think it’s hilarious that we could ever go down that path. That we could ever be something more than what we are. Because I’m not good enough,or pretty enough, or just enough and I never will be, and I hate it. I hate it so much.” Your voice cracked on the last few words, and you felt the hot tears start to bubble out of your eyes and stream down your face.
Jack didn’t say a word. He didn’t have to. He pulled you into a hug, bringing his hand up to your face and gently brushing away the tears with his thumbs.
“Breathe, sugar. You need to calm down.” Jack said quietly, willing you to calm. That just made you cry harder.
You were about to pull away, when you felt Jack cup your face with both hands, before leaning in to kiss you.

Bradley texted you on Sunday morning, asking for your address, insisting he come pick you and Everett up. He could have just looked it up in the coaching portal online, but he wanted you to send it to him instead.
When he pulled up in front of your house, he saw Everett come running out the front door. "Hey, kiddo," Bradley called as he got out of the Bronco.
"Coach! I have my glove all ready, and my mom is finishing her makeup, because she said she wants to look nice today!"
Bradley grinned and let Everett take him by the hand. "I kind of think your mom always looks nice," Bradley mumbled, and then there you were, stepping out onto your front porch with a bright smile.
You were wearing a cropped tee shirt and black leggings, and Bradley's mind took him back to making out with you yesterday.
"Hi, Coach," you said, wiggling your fingers at him as you walked down the steps.
Suddenly he had no idea what to do. Was he supposed to refrain from calling you Kitten? Did you really expect him to keep his lips away from you right now?
"I missed you," he told you, and even though he hadn't meant to say it, it was true.
"I saw you yesterday," you said with a soft laugh. "We spent a lot of time together in the kitchen."
"Not enough."
Bradley noticed Everett was looking between the two of you with curious interest. "Did you really bring Gatorade? Can we ride in your car?" Everett asked.
"Yeah, I really brought Gatorade. And yes, we can ride in my car."
"We'd have to put the booster seat in the back?" you asked cautiously.
So Bradley ended up with a car seat in the back of his Bronco, something he never imagined would have ever been happening. And then he drove all three of you to the park.
When he reached across the seat and let his hand settle on top of yours, you bit your lip, and turned your hand palm side up, lacing your fingers with his.
"Hey, Kitten?" he asked softly as he pulled into the park. You turned to face him right away, your eyes unguarded. "Thanks for letting me do this."
Bradley parked and climbed out of the Bronco before helping you and then Everett out as well.
"Okay, your mom's got a lot to learn today," Bradley told Everett, handing him a bag of gear. "Think we can help her out? She doesn't even know what a catcher's mitt is."
Everett laughed and tossed his head back. "She doesn't know what a slider is either. She just didn't want to tell you that."
"Ev, I'm standing right here," you told your son, running your fingers along his hair. But you were looking at Bradley and smirking. "And I do know what a slider is, because I watched a video on YouTube."
"Aww, come on, Kitten. You're killing me," Bradley said, handing you three bottles of cold Gatorade. "YouTube? You need some first hand experience, and Ev and I are your guys."
-------------------------
You weren't sure how to feel about Bradley calling you Kitten in front of your son, but every time he said it, you felt a little silly.
"Is this the catcher's mitt?" you asked, picking up a dusty, brown thing and holding it up.
"Sure it. Go ahead and put it on." Bradley said as he got a regular baseball glove on Everett's hand.
You thought it was too big for your hand, but you put it on anyway, waving the mitt at them. "Okay, I'm ready!"
Bradley handed Everett a baseball and jogged over to where you were standing. "Hell no, you're not, Kitten. Gotta protect that pretty face." He bent down and rummaged in the bag a little more, pulling out a weird looking mask and another Phillies cap.
"You're going to make me wear that?" you asked with a smile as he approached you.
Bradley turned to look over his shoulder to where Everett was tossing the ball into the air and catching it a few feet away. Then he turned back and kissed your lips softly. "Told you I wouldn't let you get hurt. I meant it."
He looked serious now, and you wondered if his words had a dual meaning.
"Now, let's get this cap on you first," he said, pushing your hair back behind your ears and setting it backwards on your head. "Oh, what do you know... you look cute with a backwards hat, too."
You scrunched up your nose in embarrassment, but he laughed and eased the catcher's mask over your head, securing it in place. "Perfect."
"Ready?" Everett called, starting to sound impatient. Meanwhile you wanted Bradley to keep touching you and telling you about your pretty face.
"Yeah, kiddo," Bradley called. "Just getting your mom in position." He looked down at you, wrapping both hands around your hips and guiding you back a few steps.
"Here?" you asked softly when he stopped moving you around.
"Yep," he whispered, squeezing you through your leggings. "Now, squat down like this."
You tried to imitate what he was doing, but you were getting distracted by the way his thighs looked as his gym shorts rode up higher on his legs.
"That's good," he told you before he stood up again. "Now do your best to catch them," Bradley said, grabbing a few more balls from his gear bag. "Everett and I will go easy on you. Won't we, kiddo?"
Your heart swelled as you watched Everett grin up at Bradley and laugh. "Yeah, but only at first mom!" he called out to you.
"Oh great, thanks a lot." But they weren't even listening to you. And now you could only focus on Bradley as demonstrated the correct pitching posture a few times for Everett. He was all flexing muscles and rippling biceps, and meanwhile your thighs were already starting to hurt.
"Here comes your first pitch!" he warned, winding up and sending the baseball directly into the mitt on your hand.
You jumped up in shock, still holding it. "I caught it!"
Everett was cheering, and Bradley winked at you. "Nice one, Kitten."
After you caught a few more and tossed them back, you were feeling so confident. Then you managed to catch most of the pitches that Everett threw as well, even though you had to really reach for some of them.
"So, which one do you like better? The slider or the curveball?" Bradley asked Everett after a while, and you stood up, barely even able to feel your thighs now.
"Slider!"
"Me too," Bradley agreed, getting a high five from Everett. "And guess what. That's the harder one to throw, so you're already advanced."
"No way!"
As you watched them interacting with each other, you wished you could have this in your life every Sunday. Maybe a late breakfast after lounging in bed with Bradley while Everett watched cartoons. Some time at the park, and then dinner.
All the things you never quite got to have with Danny felt somehow more attainable with Bradley. Which was really scary to you.
You cleared your throat and tossed the catcher's mitt toward the bag before trying to remove the mask, but Bradley was already on his way over to help you.
"Will you let Ev and I treat you to some ice cream as a thank you?"
He swiped his fingers along your jaw when he removed the mask, but he left his backwards hat on your head. "I would love that."
-----------------------
The ice cream shop was packed with people out enjoying the perfect San Diego spring day, but Bradley didn't mind waiting. You were standing in front of him while Everett bounced around a bit and kept asking questions.
"Will you pitch balls with me again?" Everett asked, looking up at Bradley.
"Of course, little man. You've gotta practice if you want to keep getting better." Bradley felt you lean back against him slightly, and he let his hand rest just above your ass. He was stroking the soft skin of your lower back with his thumb and running his fingers along your leggings. You turned and briefly rubbed your cheek against his chest, just like a kitten, and he wrapped his arm around you a little tighter.
"And can you show me a fastball too? And a changeup?" Everett asked, just before it was time to order.
"Not my strongest pitches, but for you, sure, kiddo. I would love to embarrass myself in front of your mom."
Everett was glancing between the two of you again as you said, "Have you forgotten that I had to watch YouTube videos about pitches? You think I'm going to know the difference?" You were looking up at Bradley and laughing, and he wanted more than anything to kiss you.
"You looked like a world class catcher today. Could have fooled me, Kitten."
Bradley tried to pay for the three ice cream cones, but you had Everett drag him away to a small bench while you paid. He sat side by side on the bench with Everett, waiting for you.
"Hey Coach, do you think my mom is pretty?"
Bradley froze with his ice cream cone halfway to his mouth and watched Everett try to eat his strawberry scoop before it melted.
"I think your mom is beautiful."
"Do you like her? I told you she was cool."
Bradley nodded as he watched you make your way over with your own cone. "She's the coolest, kiddo. Here, make some room for her to sit with us." Bradley picked Everett up with one arm and plopped him down on his thigh, and then you eased into the spot next to him.
"Thanks for the ice cream," Bradley told you softly.
You grinned at him and Everett on his lap. "Any time you want to treat Ev and I to a day in the park, I'll be more than happy to treat you to some ice cream, Coach."
Bradley finished his cone and then let Everett ask him a bunch of baseball related questions while his strawberry scoop melted. He watched it drip on his jeans, but he didn't really care.
"Ev, eat faster! It's melting onto Coach," you scolded, jumping up to get some napkins.
Bradley tried to stop you, telling you it would come out in the laundry, but you insisted on wiping up the ice cream which landed basically right where his dick was. So he slid Everett into the spot you vacated while you bent down and tried your best to clean him up.
"Kitten," he rasped. "Please. It's okay." If you kept rubbing him, he was going to get hard. On a bench. In front of your son.
"Are you sure?" you asked, and your hand paused on his thigh as he nodded at you. "Danny would have had a living fit."
Bradley took your hand and rubbed it with his thumb. "Yeah, well, I'm not Danny."
You looked at him as you stood up tall again. "Ain't that the truth," you mumbled, but your eyes stayed on his.
--------------------------
When Bradley walked you and Everett up to your porch, you watched Ev hug him tight. "See you at practice tomorrow?"
"Yep, see you tomorrow," Bradley replied, messing up his hair before Everett went inside.
"Thanks for today," you whispered as Bradley's big hands settled on your hips. "That meant a lot to him."
"I had fun," Bradley said with a smile as he pulled you a little closer to him. You let your hands rest on his broad chest, and a little gasp escaped your lips before you were even kissing him. But then you were, and it felt so good. His lips were gentle, and his hands were firm, and your body wanted more.
"Can't wait to see which sexy pantsuit you wear to practice tomorrow, Kitten," he mumbled against your neck, prickling you with his mustache.
You giggled as his lips made their way down to the top of your shirt. "I'm not going to be there tomorrow."
He paused and asked, "Why not?"
"I have a late meeting. Molly is going to take him to practice. And speaking of Molly..."
"Yeah?" Bradley asked, looking at you with a small grin. "What did your reliable sister who is more than willing to watch Everett for you have to say?"
You started giggling again, and Bradley pulled you so your body was flush with his. You knew you were on your front porch, and you knew Ev could pop back outside at any time. But you let Bradley hold you, because you wanted him to.
"Molly said she can watch him on Friday night. If you feel like going out?"
"Fuck, yes," he said, kissing your cheek. "I have it all planned. Let me know when to pick you up."
You felt warm inside for the rest of the evening, because Bradley would be yours on Friday night. No sharing him with Everett or Sandra or Coach Bob or the other kids on the team. All yours.
-----------------------
Bradley really missed you at Monday's practice. He had nobody to look at on the bleachers. The few times he glanced over, his heart skipped a beat, because Molly did look quite a bit like you. But then he just sighed in disappointment.
He did, however, notice that Bob was looking toward your sister with some frequency. That was interesting. He would definitely have to ask Bob about that later on.
Bradley wasn't even surprised when Bob suddenly joined him to walk Everett and Molly to the parking lot when practice ended. Bradley ended up trailing behind the two of them with Everett on his shoulders, watching them chat the whole way.
"Hey, Everett," Bradley asked. "Does your Aunt Molly have a boyfriend?"
"Not anymore," Everett replied. "She told me she had to break up with Casey because he was tiny, but I don't really get it because he was really tall."
Bradley had to bite his lip to prevent himself from laughing out loud. "Oh, okay. Poor Casey," Bradley muttered.
Bradley helped get Everett settled in Molly's car before heading to his Bronco to text you. He noticed that Bob was still hanging out with Molly after he had walked away, and he could occasionally hear Molly's laughter. Lord, she thought he was funny! Hopefully he was bigger than Casey.
Bradley thought about mentioning Bob and Molly to you, but he thought better of it.
Kitten, I missed you today. Are you still in your meeting? Are you coming to practice on Thursday?
Bradley watched Molly pull out of the parking lot, waving to Bob as she went. "Bob! Come here!" Bradley called out his open window. He watched his friend turn around and head his way.
"What's up?" Bob asked him, leaning against the side of the Bronco. Bradley just smirked at him, and almost instantly, Bob started blushing. Bradley smirked harder, and Bob adjusted his glasses and rubbed the back of his neck. "I noticed her when she came to practice last time, too. Are you going to make fun of me for having a crush on her?"
Bradley started laughing. "Not at all. She's really nice. And Everett said his Aunt Molly is single."
"Is she really?" Bob asked softly as a grin spread across his face.
"Yep. The kid is a wealth of information."
Bob just mumbled something and walked away with a wave, leaving Bradley alone as you texted him back.
You sent a selfie of you smiling in what Bradley assumed was your office. He could see your cream colored lace top peeking out of your gray suit coat.
Kitten. I should not find your business attire this sexy, baby.
Once again, instead of responding with text, you send him another photo, one in which you had removed your suit coat. Bradley was staring at your tits straining against your lacy tank top, nipples peaked against the delicate looking fabric. You were smirking at him.
Fuck, his mind took him to your office, you sitting in your chair with his face buried in your pussy. He'd eat you until you were screaming.
It's not nice to tease, Kitten.
He was now sitting in the parking lot at the ballfield with an erection, and he wasn't even surprised. He started up the Bronco and drove home where he could take care of himself.
By Thursday, when he laid eyes on you at tee ball practice, it was like he finally felt his body relax. Everett bounded over to him as usual before going to greet Bob, but Bradley was watching you try to change into your old sneakers while you walked through the grass. You were wearing your tight, black skirt again, and your hair was pulled up off of your neck.
"Jesus," he mumbled before fielding some questions from Sandra and the other moms about the upcoming schedule.
When you were seated on the bleachers, and practice was about to begin, Bradley debated heading your way and giving you a kiss on your cheek, but Bob was already blowing his whistle to start practice.
Bradley watched you raise your hand from your lap and wiggle your fingers at him, moutching, "Hi, Coach," while you smirked.
Alone. He'd get you alone tomorrow. He loved Everett, but he was antsy to really get to be with you. But he could wait one more day to kiss you and taste your skin. So he just winked and joined Bob near home plate.
------------------------
Practice was pretty typical on Thursday, except now your body was humming the whole time. You knew exactly what Coach Bradley's lips tasted like. You know how heavy his hands felt on your hips. You knew how he smelled and sounded when he was right in front of you, teasing your body.
"Tara, I can't stop thinking about the swim party last weekend. Both coaches shirtless? A literal dream come true."
"Same. And I'm one thousand percent sure Coach Bradley flirted with me when I was getting a slice of pizza."
You wanted to snort. You were standing five feet away from him the entire time he'd been in the clubhouse getting pizza, and neither of those moms had been anywhere near him.
But it didn't matter, because as soon as practice ended and you were helping Everett change out of his cleats, Bradley made his way over to both of you, right in front of everyone just like he always did.
"Nice hustle today, kiddo," he told Everett, earning him a high five.
You looked up at Bradley over your shoulder as you tucked Everett's cleats into his gear bag. He reached down to help you stand, and his other hand brushed along your butt.
"I expect a nice hustle out of you tomorrow night," you told him, giggling as his eyes went wide. "It's going to be our first date and all."
He just shook his head, walking up to the parking lot with Everett between you both. "Nope. It's our third," he said.
"What? No, our first!" you insisted, trying to keep the conversation vague for your son's ears. You still weren't convinced that going out with his tee ball coach was your best move, but you couldn't stop yourself now.
"Snack bar was our first. Now, I wasn't on my best game, but you did come back for round two with baseball in the park."
You were cracking up now. He considered soft pretzels and an outing with Everett to be dates? Oh, you were going to melt. You'd never make it. He was a single mom's dream date.
"So you don't mind that sometimes there's a tagalong?" you ask, nearing your car where it was parked next to his Bronco.
Bradley opened the back door for Everett, gave him a fit bump and then closed it as Everett got himself buckled in.
"I don't mind. As long as I can get Kitten alone on occasion. Really want to see your claws again."
You grabbed at his jersey, and Bradley immediately had you pushed back against your car door with his lips on yours. It was broad daylight, there were still some people in the parking lot, and Everett was in the backseat. But Bradley's hands were grabbing at your hips, and you could feel him through his thin athletic shorts as you moaned his name.
"Fuck," he gasped against your lips, kissing you hard one more time. "Get in your car, Kitten. Before I embarrass myself. I'll pick you up tomorrow night."

OK!! New big post because it seems the interest in psychonauts lost media has gone COLD
Tumblr media
HAVE YOU SEEN THIS DISC??
This is gonna be a longish post but it breaks down some of the lost media digging I've been doing and links back to my archival site so I'm just gonna put it under the read more
Years and years ago when psychonauts first came out, majesco did TWO sweepstakes, one was marketed as a golden disc from select retailers, there were 15 golden discs in total but only 5 were eligable for a grand prize of 5'000$ each! It's not certain if their even is a disc though(while their promotion states DISC!!! Their actual rules say 'certificate!!!'. ) And if there is.. no one has any clue what it could look like! Is it painted? Is it shiny? ... is it cardboard?(joking!! But really their marketing was real bad)
The SECOND sweepstakes is also... well lost? Ish? Kind of?? Majesco built an online community to Duke it out on who was the biggest nerd: PSYCHOPORTALS!
Tumblr media
This was exclusive to the states(and even in the states, their was only a few areas that were eligable to participate) , and supposedly they had people running around the streets handing out flyers, on college campuses doing events, they even has a national radio campaign! (And I haven't found a single thing!!!! Well except for some cool web page assets and a few small articles that were archived from the wayback..)
Their were 10 online portals to unlock, and LA Won!! Kind of. Well they won PART of the contest ,,,(so says a mixnmojo post from the time that dosent expand on it further, no other sources say LA DIDNT win the whole dang thing though!) THREE seperate forums say to tune in next week on April 28th for more info but... theirs kind of no record after that! Theirs some information on a 'psi recruitment seminar' as an in person event held with tons of cool gear and trivia but I only ever found one news article for it.. wich means there's more stuff out their were missing!
So all that information to say: hey theirs cool stuff here!! I made an archival website just for it! All the merch and dates and lost things I could find have all been compiled right here(brand new website too! Redecorated and new code from the ground up! It's still a wip but it's got all new info and lots of old images of merch)
You can also check out my sideblog @psychonautswebarchive for more steady updates too!
If anyone has any info or ideas( or if you were around during the razputin.net era or even had a psychoportals account and participated!!) Please reach out to me I'd love to hear from you!
