I revised a little bit of my PyQt notes, hoping to make more progress tomorrow.

I've decided to just look up free courses out of my knowledge base on the internet and read them like encyclopaedias like I used to in my childhood with actual encyclopaedias lol. I love acquiring knowledge.

I unearthed a premade planner that I got as a gift for my 17th birthday, covered in fungus (eek) so I had to fix that. I used it to plan my daily things and its a lot easier to have it on paper rather than trying to remember it all.

Hoping for more productivity tomorrow :)

Me over here while about to go to bed because work in the morning and it's 1AM already: Doesn't write a Fontaine character, is a Liyue fanatic at heart, and truly has no business talking about Fontaine. Meanwhile, has gone insane to numerous people so far about French language tidbits for the nation/some of its characters and the massive contrast between them, but especially the architecture, considering Fontaine seems to be inherently referencing historical France more times than I can possibly ever count, and it's the nation of justice (well, technically since Focalors, as I don't believe Egeria was ever known as the god of 'justice'? This whole concept of the gods and what they're officially gods of is still something that my mind goes feral over, but technically, a predecessor and/or ancestor holds/held the title of the same archon of course, but doesn't have to preside over the same 'ideal', or so from what I've been able to find; especially as we know that the gods don't 'reincarnate', with Rukkhadevata and Nahida being an exception... of sorts? Ish?) which is incredibly important to remember. It's honestly the concept of how 'you can tell a lot about people from their room/home', and here, it ties into potentially one or three(?) characters in a vastly interesting way. /mutters at self and Hoyo.

My attempts to write are perpetually delayed by too many storylines and thoughts in my head. To solve this I am hoping to write out everything for the story in a consolidated file so that I can focus on one story at a time.

In one my discord servers, they were talking about a note taking app and I decided to give it a whirl (bc it's free) and decided to make a timeline of sorts for my Obey Me OC Miri.

Still have some things to figure out, but this has been a fun experiment.

Noticed in the 'if I get 69 notes I'll show some lines I like from my WIP' post that you use a green background when you write? If I'm allowed to ask, what's your writing setup like? Do you use Google Docs with a colored background, or something else? Are there any particular fonts you find that make writing easier? And do you listen to anything when you write?

hi hi! Yeah I don't mind asks about these :3 i mainly use gdocs, the green bg is an adjustment in the gdocs page setup, it's easier on the eyes for me. I also go for dark mode sometimes by adjusting the page color and font color manually! Alternatively I also use obsidian, which is a free note taking program with offline use (tho syncing is a paid feature...i mostly use it for story notes for ocs/worldbuilding more than writing actual fic)

I mainly default to Atkinson Hyperlegible for my fonts (available to download in gfonts or their website i think! Dont have the link on me but it is free) it's just easy and comfortable for me to type and read in :3 sometimes I switch around serif fonts as well but I don't have a particular choice on that :0c

I listen to music while i write! I haven't tried using videos I like (let's plays, video essays) bc i never really get to properly listen to them while writing. It's more background music than anything else. Sometimes i sit in total silence but i always end up playing music again lmao

Had to change the android version to a pirate one and it's running easily everything except adobe pdf reader (SHAME ON YOU! AGAIN AND AGAIN!). Proving programed obsolescence is a THING, even the battery life improved.

This tablet is completely okay and was given to me because apps wasn't running on it. My pirate android proved that the tablet is still good. Big tech corporations are the ones that blocks the user from accessing technology without constantly spending money and resources on it.

God, I HATE capitalism...

uni is in full swing, which means that i am absurdly busy since i'm taking twenty credits ^^** i've been really enjoying my classes though! i'm taking two ling courses, a cn course, and a calc class, and everything has been incredibly engaging and interesting ^^ i've made so many anki decks and i'll probably make many more, those linguistics points are so hard to remember without repetition (ヾ;￣ ￣)ヾ i also had my first tutoring session for my chinese programme today! the tutor was great and i was really pleased to hear that i'm very capable, at least orally! i've been watching 成化十四年/sleuth of the ming dynasty (very slowly) after meaning to for three years now, and i'm really enjoying it ^^

Today marks my last full day in our province before leaving for university. It's weird to think that no matter how many times I have moved places my entire life, the process of packing my bags and leaving never gets easy. I have always envied those who can stay at their own homes with their family despite studying in college, but I guess growth never happens inside your comfort zone. All the community work my family has done and exposed me to gives me the drive to take the leap of faith, and work hard to earn the experiences I need to effectively help people.

One of the many things I hold on to during departure is the thought of someday--that someday, I will go back as a better version of myself; that someday, I will return with the added knowledge I can apply to the community. That someday, I'll be back with a new skillset I can use to practice and talk more about eye health.

I would have loved to study and make content this week but on my last few days here, I found myself doing the opposite. I barely read my books and I decided to just enjoy the last moments of bliss before I once again enter the training grounds of Optometry school.

Here's a reminder that sometimes, sacrifices like these are necessary. If we become the best we can be---a hands on employee, a selfless doctor, a competent lawyer, a righteous accountant, a responsible engineer, an insightful educator--then I believe that we can make this world a better place one heartbeat at a time. ❣️

Finally mastered the concept of Recycler View after rewatching, annotating and rereading for hours on end. My brain is exhausted lol.

Every day is a low-motivation day due to fasting, so I'm making sure I don't use up all my energy. I'll probably remarry the grind next month XD

#anne talks: about random stuff #okay so college just started and dear god so many information and new out there #i‘ve known about obsidian for a while now but never tried it out until today #and i WILL use it the next three years simply because everything i will learn is linked with each other in some kind of way #and while i managed four years with a shared onenote with a friend; obsidian just works better for me #i will still take lesson notes on onenote (since we already made a shared one) but this is perfect to rework at home or during free lessons #i am OBSESSED #the only thing that stopped me from finishing digitalizing my hand notes was the freaking time #it’s midnight and i should wake up at 5:30 💀
