My #1 post of 2022

When I first heard they were rebooting Roswell I didn’t know if I wanted to watch it. I had fond memories of the original and wasn’t sure if I wanted to endure yet another mediocre reboot.

I decided to give it a one-episode chance. I watched it in my sister’s room, and she had her headphones on. She had not seen the original and had no interest in watching it.

I remember watching the pilot episode and realized this reboot would be a completely different show. I had heard Tyler Blackburn was in it and loved him on Pretty Little Liars so when he came on the screen, I paid attention. I could sense something between his character Alex and Michael. When Michael appeared in the background of the reunion scene that Alex was in… I knew what was about to happen, so I did what every sister would do. I nudged (in her words punched) her in the arm and from then on, we watched it together.

During these four seasons I have laughed with these characters, cried for them, and now I will remember them always. I will always love Malex and their love story, but I loved so many characters and ships on this show. Liz, and her science, Isobel being a badass, Kyle being the perfect friend to everyone, Rosa, becoming her best self, Maria being amazing at everything but never quite getting what she deserved, and Max who became the man I knew he could be and saved a planet.

I have proudly been apart of the Roswell New Mexico fandom on tumblr. I have created art edits and enjoyed creations by talented individuals. I have enjoyed seeing all the gifs,edits,fanfics… and will continue to see them.

Roswell New Mexico might not have been perfect; however, it was something I enjoyed with my sister and for that I am forever grateful to these cowboy aliens.

YGO Questionnaire Part 2 Electric Boogaloo

So, my gf/bf @howaboutalittlehelpneos tagged me to do this again a... good long while ago, and I had wanted to wait until I'd finished my GX rewatch before trying this again. But ouch oof I accidentally also got through all of 5Ds again before getting to this lol

But the 5Ds rewatch definitely reshaped a lot of my thoughts, so... cracks knuckles. This won't be spoiler free, fair warning~

Favorite Series: ugh the formatting killed my original essay on this but okay GX and 5Ds are pretty tied in my book, now-- I love them equally, but in different ways! GX fulfills my love for subversive coming-of-age stories with a heartwarming, humorous, and also soulcrushing touch, and I love how each season brings a new story and new characters-- it's like reading installments of a novel series, and I think the formatting works wonders for it as a whole. It has some absolutely phenomenal character writing, too-- even the characters I dislike are ones I can appreciate for what they introduce to the story! And honestly, not enough people give the first two seasons of GX the credit it deserves: they're half the charm, really. How are you going to feel the full impact of the heartbreaking content in seasons 3 and 4 if you aren't properly attached to the characters?

But on 5Ds's side of things... it fulfills my love for stories with time loops, found family, human nature, and of course, love and death and how they intertwine. I love how the leading characters are just a bunch of broken kids from broken circumstances who all find a home with each other, and of course, how it highlights class disparity and how fucked up the prison/"justice" systems are. Yea, sure, maybe it underwent executive meddling and all, but I genuinely love it for what it is and I wish more people appreciated it... my only problem with 5Ds is the untwist with Z-ONE and then the ending s m h I adore it overall and I could go off for a long while on it. Overall, these are my two instinctive recommendations for anyone getting into Yugioh!

(look at these boys they're so important) Favorite Protagonist: Oh, believe me, absolutely nothing has changed here-- Yusei Fudo is and always will be my favorite protagonist, and my rewatch only solidified that.

I just... love him so much? He's seen so much hell in his life and carries so much guilt on his shoulders, but he still has room in his heart to believe in others and to believe that anyone can defy fate and find hope even at rock bottom. I love that he's initially introduced as this quiet, brooding figure when he really just turns out to be a huge softie who wears his heart on his sleeve half the time and wants to bring about change for Satellite and its people. Plus I just really love that his greatest flaw is something that would ordinarily be a positive trait-- he's Overly self-sacrificial, to the point where he's basically setting himself on fire to keep others warm, and that's not really framed as something Heroic

Just... he makes me so happy. I have two Yusei charms that I ordinarily keep on my keys (one was a gift from Zenzen) and they're a constant source of serotonin for me. He's Peak comfort character for me. Best protag in my book Favorite Rival: Same deal here-- still Manjoume!

While he spends a lot of the anime getting the good old damsel in distress treatment (getting suckered into a cult, getting knocked into a coma, becoming a zombie, getting fucking Killed, etc), I still think his character arc is really well-written overall and I only appreciated it even more when I watched GX again. I love the fact that he's got a soft heart he buries beneath the edgy facade, and that he's simultaneously really sharp and also kind of dense lol. He's just a fun character and watching how he evolves from episode one to episode one hundred eighty is such a satisfying journey.

Plus, props to him for being such a versatile duelist-- 50 wins in a row is HARD as is, let alone with a deck full of cards he just found laying around in the Arctic. Three ace monsters, three different archetypes... he's a really good duelist and I'm proud of him for it

Oh, but honestly, I don't really dislike any of the rivals-- I'm neutral towards Revolver and Reiji, but the remaining four (Kaiba, Manjoume, Jack, and Shark) compel me. yes I accidentally wound up liking Jack Atlas shhh Favorite BFF: Honestly, I really like most of the characters who fit this archetype-- Joey, Crow, Gongenzaka, Soulburner... I still lean a little bit more towards Joey, but I really appreciate all four of them. I'm gonna say Joey again, just because I find his evolution as a character the most compelling, but I appreciate the other three a lot. Soulburner has the best design though Favorite GFF: Oh absolutely still Aki, but I honestly... really love most female Yugioh characters? I'm assuming this is lead girls only, but like. I'm dumb and gay and I love Girls so this is naturally the most difficult one for me to answer lol

Aki just resonates with me the most because she's the prime example of how trauma doesn't always manifest in palatable ways-- when we first meet her, she's angry and lashes out at anyone and anything just because she wants the world to suffer in the same ways she's suffered, and then... we get to watch her grow from that, once she's free from Divine and able to heal the way she needs to heal. I know the second half of 5Ds didn't give her character the attention it deserved, but I'm still proud of her for winding up on the path she did-- seeing her channel her power and energy into wanting to heal and help others was just so good and was one of the few things I really Loved about the 5Ds ending.

oh, but like. Asuka Tenjoin and Aoi Zaizen are very close seconds for me!!! Aki just has a vice grip on my heart Favorite Villain: Okay, it's still technically Vector-- I think he's the most entertaining, well-written, and effective villain out of all of the ones we've seen so far, but... I also want to add Takuma Saiou and then all of Yliaster as honorable mentions?

As someone fond of tarot myself, I was naturally pretty intrigued by Saiou the first time I watched GX, but my attachment to him only grew the second time around where I actually got the chance to understand his character better. Plus, like... the visuals with him are fucking astounding and he's always so interesting to watch.

As for Yliaster, I just... really love how the big bad of 5Ds turned out to just essentially be a broken man desperate to save anyone and anything and three robotic reconstructions of the friends he'd lost. I still think the untwist with Z-ONE was stupid and I much prefer the idea of him and Yusei being the same person, but I'm still compelled by the other three-- well. Paradox less so, because we don't get a lot of Paradox lore, but. Aporia and Antinomy for sure.

ugh Yugioh has some damn good villains

Favorite Card: now that I actually play the TCG game...

Stardust is always going to be my favorite of all cards because it checks every box for me (my favorite YGO character's ace monster, space theme, what more could I want), but Aromaseraphy Rosemary has really become one of my aces in my best TCG deck! I'm still mastering irl plays, but I'm happy with my progress and I love my plant gang...

Favorite Episode: alright, here's where there's actually been a Lot of change, so...

Season 0: Episode 16: "Turnabout by a Hair's Breadth - The White-Robed Crisis" -- The more I think about this one, the more I love it; there's a... lot of corruption in the medical industry, and I've seen a lot of it firsthand, so just. Seeing a corrupt doctor get what he deserved at the end was cathartic, in a way? Plus, a Jounouchi-centric episode is always a good time.

Duel Monsters: Episodes 96-97: "Darkness vs. Darkness/One Turn Kill" -- this hasn't changed, I still love seeing Marik and Bakura bitch at each other for two whole episodes LMAO

GX: Episode 152: "Activate Super-Fusion! Rainbow Neos" -- This one hasn't changed and it likely never will-- I take so much pride in seeing Judai push forward, past the fear and guilt he's carrying, all to save Johan... it's cathartic and I never get sick of watching it.

5Ds: sweats. still all of Crash Town, but also episodes 137-147-- the Ark Cradle is one of my favorite parts of 5Ds and one of my favorite YGO arcs period, and even though each duel is a fucking gut punch, I love the emotional intensity and weight in each episode... It hurts but in a mostly good way

Zexal: Episode 143: "The Aloof Duelist 'Nasch': The Destined Final Duel" -- this one hasn't changed! Still hurts, still love it, I still weep over Ryouga Shark Kamishiro on a daily basis

Arc-V: Episodes 81-82: "Our Respective Battlefields/The Ultimate Falcon VS The Black-Feathered Thunder" -- Okay, honestly, this was hard because I... genuinely. really don't like Arc-V very much at all lol (it's just not my cup of tea, but more power to those who do like it!), but I thought this duel was a lot of fun! Shun is my absolute favorite from Arc-V and I really like the friendship he struck up with Crow a lot, so here we are

VRAINS (so far): Episode 25-26: "Virus Deck Operation/Three Draws Leading to Hope" -- honestly I am so biased because I just really love Blue Angel and I loved seeing her get a well-deserved victory like this lol. I'm not done with VRAINS, so this is probably gonna change, but anytime Blue Angel or Soulburner are on screen, I'm happy

Favorite Decks to Use: Aromages will always have my heart, but I adore Cyber Angels too! I'm building my Trickstar deck, my Synchron/Stardust deck (just waiting on Dawn of Majesty...), and my Magician Girls deck, too! Fusion, Ritual, Synchro, XYZ, Pendulum, or Link?: Synchros my beloved... but also Ritual Years in fandom: I've been here for just a little over one year now! and I wuv it... I 100% agree with your assessment on the Overhaul arc in bnha. Started series when that was the most recent arc and completely lost interest in the series halfway through. Trying to get started again, though. What would you change about the arc as a whole?

first off, anon, I hope I haven’t inadvertently spoiled anything! you said you’re trying to get back into it now, so just a heads up that this post is also going to contain spoilers for the end of the arc, though that’s probably obvious lol.

also, now that I’m a dozen chapters past it, I’m very happy to say things are moving along smoothly again and it reminds me of the “old” BnHA. all of the little things I missed so much are back. so it does get better! I’m really pushing to get fully caught up with the manga myself now.

so now! regarding this question, there are really two ways I could answer. because truthfully, the most honest answer I could give to “what would you change about this arc?” is “I wouldn’t have had it in the first place” lol. but that’s just me. even if I took out all of the stuff that annoyed me, even if it was more cleanly executed, this arc was just never going to be one of my favorites. it explores some themes that are important, but aren’t really connected to the things I enjoy the most about the series. the focus is too narrow at the expense of a lot of my faves who got excluded. and the tone is just too dark. which isn’t to say I don’t enjoy angst or when Shit Gets Real, but, how to put this… it has more of a DC vibe than a Marvel one to me. it’s more Dark Knight than Infinity War. and that’s just not quite my taste. so yeah, if we’re talking full control over the manga, I would probably have gutted the entire thing and chucked it completely and done something else. not sure what, but it would have been really different.

but since that answer is kind of a cop-out, here are some of the things I would change if I had to leave the main framework of the arc in place, but was allowed to make smaller changes here and there.

speed up/condense some of the stuff that happens after they encounter Eri and prior to the rescue op. it felt like it took way too long to get to the action. we met Eri in chapter 129 and they didn’t commence the rescue until 9 chapters later. some of the stuff that happens in between is important – especially the All Might stuff and the reveal about Nighteye’s premonition – but Kiri’s fight went on longer than necessary, and then there was no need for them all to meet up, start to plan Eri’s rescue, break off to gather more information, meet up again a few days later, and then finally start the raid. that was too much

I would put Kiri’s flashback in his first fight (the one against knifey stabby man). despite me having just said that the fight went on for too long, lol. but this would be a good way to break it up to make it more interesting. and then I could…

put Ochako and Tsuyu back in the arc and give one of them (or both of them – tag team) Kiri’s second fight instead. if their quirks don’t match up as well against Shield Monk and Chance the Rappa then just change those later two’s quirks to something more interesting. their original quirks were pretty boring anyway

put Ryuukyuu in the arc too bc obviously the girls should be accompanied by a grown-up just like the boys were. that part made sense

speed up Tamaki’s fight (like, don’t even bother trying to make it a challenge. just let Tamaki have his time to shine and kick their asses with no trouble), and have Fat Gum stay with him (just toss in an extra bad guy for him to fight) and speed up the Hot Gum reveal. and then just have the two of them get cut off from the others afterward

and I’m not sure what, but have Aizawa actually do something. as opposed to nothing. which is what he pretty much ended up doing

(ETA: I forgot to account for Kirishima during the raid! so now what I’m thinking is that he ends up making it to the final battle along with Aizawa, Nighteye, and Deku, but ends up being plot abducted along with Aizawa. because that’s a very interesting combination to me, and having to look out for his student might be a good way to nerf Aizawa a bit while still letting him actually fight. then maybe Kirishima gets injured much like what happened with him and Fat Gum. and then Aizawa steps back in to beat whoever it is they’re fighting. because it’s probably someone with a more cinematic quirk than Chrono tbh. anyway. so yeah, bonus Dadzawa feels. eventually he will come to realize that all of his kids are, in fact, problem children.)

actually, you know what, since most of my changes would just be little tweaks to the way things play out once the raid starts, I’ll just write up my version of a chapter-by-chapter outline instead

delete most of chapter 138 and have them get to the basement by the end of that chapter

139, Tamaki and FG stay behind to fight. Tamaki has his flashback and kicks some ass

140, we finish up the fight, with FG’s part of it. but the two of them find their forward progress blocked off by Irinaka. the chapter then ends with the ladies staring down another group of villains

141, a quick flashback shows how Irinaka separated Tsu, Ocha, and Ryuukyuu from the rest. Ryuu takes on the stronger villain (dragon time bitches) while the girls tag team a second bad guy. I have no idea how this would go, and it would take more time and effort and planning on my part than I currently am willing to devote since it’s a hypothetical scenario. but I have no doubt it could be very badass. we’ll give this fight two chapters, maybe, so we can have flashbacks and some more in-depth action. so that’s 141 and 142

143, we get League of Villains antics and flashbacks

144, the conclusion of that, and they take down Irinaka

145 and 146, Mirio vs Overhaul, with the others catching up at the end of 146

147, Aizawa (ETA: and Kirishima) get plot abducted and have their own little fight scene. Nighteye gets impaled trying to help the others escape. make that a bigger moment and show a bit more of his fighting beforehand, and make that the cliffhanger. since I’ve now added Kirishima to the mix, this may possibly take up an extra chapter

148, Deku turns back, activates 20% OFA, and fights Overhaul for a little bit but doesn’t do too well. Eri comes back and offers herself in exchange for the others’ safety. the ladies come barging in to turn the tide, having smashed their way through the labyrinth

149, Deku and Eri vs Overhaul part 1. first half of Overhaul’s flashback. establish his backstory and his plan and the boss’s objections. end with 100% OFA

150, Deku and Eri vs Overhaul part 2. second half of Overhaul’s flashback. show him using his quirk to fuck up the boss. (or at least, show enough to make it clear beyond a doubt that that’s what happened. you had no problem showing what happened to Eri and making that abundantly clear beyond what was necessary.) show him afterwards talking about the boss’s sudden decline in health, and how he’ll be taking charge until he’s healthy. show him monologuing about how this is all for the good of the family and one day the boss will be able to understand that too. “I’m grateful to you, old man. so until then, just sleep.” Deku and Eri take him out; chapter ends with the KO punch

so that’s more or less it. if we also speed up the pre-rescue stuff, I think this arc could easily be at least 10 chapters shorter. they can cut most of the villain flashbacks, too, since we don’t really need those. we got along just fine without villain flashbacks for the most part before this arc; only Tomura and Stain had them, and we managed perfectly well. also, give them more interesting designs, seriously. having them all try to stick to a theme/uniform with only slight variations was really dull, and there were moments when I genuinely lost track of who was who. none of the heroes look alike even though they’re all on the same team. it’s fine lol

Yona ch.147 spoilers

Akatsuki no Yona chapter 147 “Awe” summary

Please don’t repost/reuse my scans and translations without permission. Tumblr reblog is fine.

Right after the ethereal dragon appeared to protect Yona, we see bewildered looks from both sides. The dragon warriors apparently used the last of their strength and lost consciousness. Gobi is trembling... so these are the four dragons from the legend... The other priest-assassins (?) all heard the rumors but didn’t think they were true. One of them asks if they belong to King Soo-Won.

Gobi gets suddenly jealous and thinks it’s very unfair for Soo-Won to have the powers of the gods at his disposal. But it looked like they were protecting Princess Yona, who is currently helping the anti-war faction. He wonders what kind of relationship Soo-Won and Yona have. Still lost in his wild thoughts, almost crazed with bloodshot eyes, he adds he wanted to marry Tao to the King, but now that the dragons have appeared he wants to know more about them (and use them for himself). Ah, but he also needs to kill Kouren... There’s so many things to do! (it’s interesting to note that here he doesn’t use any honorifics for Kouren! He must really hate her, or he has a deeper bond than we thought)

Yoon calls the four dragons and begins to panic because they won’t wake up. He asks Hak what they should do. The soldiers on Gobi’s side poke Shin-Ah and say he won’t move. Gobi fears they’re dead, but the soldiers tell him they’re only unconscious. They began to touch Zeno and inspect him, marveling at the gods’ powers made flesh. Yona demands they let them go, as they’re very weak right now. The soldiers won’t accept: how come this power is Kouka’s alone? Would said it should be Kouka’s in the first place? The founding legend is already suspicious and they don’t know how much of it really happened. This is not a power a brutal country like Kouka should hold.

Gobi is happy, the stupid citizens are taking his side without him having to do anything. He wanted to surrender Princess Tao to Soo-Won as a hostage, but now that he has the dragons he no longer needs to suck up to the King. He pretty much believes the dragon warriors appeared here for him to use as he pleases. The high priest asks his soldiers to carry the dragons away so they can try to invoke the dragon god again (I believe he’s talking about the shield).

Yoon catches hold of Jae-Ha and says they can’t. Don’t they understand? The four dragons aren’t a tool for this war! As the soldiers try to pry him away, Yoon starts crying. Jae-Ha and Kija were badly injured. He doesn’t know what happened with the surge of power back then, but what if it meant the dragons will never wake up again?

One of the soldier is about to punch him, but Hak pretty much flings Yoon out of reach and cuts the ropes holding the dragons back with his spear. He hoists Jae-Ha on his right shoulder and carries Kija with his left arm despite his own injury, then starts walking to take them to safety. While some soldiers are trying to stop him, others take Shin-Ah and Zeno away to hide them.

Flashback to one of Tao’s informants telling Yona about the dragon warriors facing off Yotaka and Mizari in town, unwilling to fight back, then of Yona answering she won’t help them win the war since she doesn’t want people from Kouka or from Shin to suffer again. This is probably what Hak is reminiscing, because after that he silently asks Yona and Jae-Ha how they’re able to get rid of their hatred like that.

Hak: I want to kill everyone here. Soo-Won too. I want to kill each and everyone who hurts the people I care about. *angry look*

Just as he is about to swing his deadly spear (sorry about this sentence - this isn’t an M-rated fic ^^;), Argila appears to kick some ass. Voldo cuts the remaining ropes from Shin-Ah’s and Zeno’s necks and tells the citizens to wake up (and they began to wonder what the two of them are doing here). Argila thanks Hak. He knows the bodyguard has been holding back on fighting to free his companions because it would bring about the war, so he promises him he’ll give them a good beating in his place.

Gobi: Argila! Voldo! Aren’t you two members of the anti-war faction too?!

Argila: Shut up, old man! I will protect Princess Tao and little kitties’ happiness!

He adds the four dragons actually saved Tao’s life. Voldo says he will never forgive Gobi for what he did to Neguro. Gobi pretends he doesn’t know what this is about. Voldo notices Yotaka’s absence and asks the priest if he did something to him too.

Tao intervenes and tells Gobi he’s not worthy of the anti-war faction. He’s just a fiend poisoning people’s minds. Gobi replies her words have never reached them in the first place. Nobody is even looking at her right now.

Author notes: Thank you to everyone who went to the signing session on August, 26th! I’m quite shy so I couldn’t properly chat with you, but I’ve still enjoyed it a lot~!

Yona says she’s heard Tao’s plea, and she will definitely become the bridge between the two countries. She tells her about Soo-Won’s agreement to open negotiations with Princess Kouren. Gobi disagrees: he should be the one to take part in the negotiations if they wish for a peaceful resolution, not Kouren. That’s why Kouren should die right this instant, for the sake of this country!

The archers are pointing their arrows on her. Voldo shouts Kouren’s name, but Kouren simply calmly says to Gobi: “Above your head, watch out.” Mizari appears in the air and strikes down at the assassins, provoking quite a bloodbath. He stops when he sees Kouren and asks her how she knew he was there. She tells him she recognized his peculiar stealthy footsteps and bloodlust (how poetic!). Gobi is visibly annoyed to see Mizari is still alive. Kouren asks him to step back, he’s done enough. Mizari answers with an angelic smile that he promised Neguro he’d kill all her enemies for her so he came back to protect her.

Back in the Wind tribe camp, Yotaka wakes up to the sound of Tae-Woo cleaning (?) his spear. He asks where he is and tries to get up once he got his answer... but collapses from pain (he’s shown crying chibi-style). He asks the General if he’s their war prisoner, and Tae-Woo simply tells him they’ll return him once he’s nursed back to health. Once again, Yotaka stands up and tries to run away, then collapses right outside the tent he was in. Ayame who saw everything comments he’s a troublesome fellow. Other Wind tribe girls appear and start touching Yotaka’s hair, marveling and saying they’d love to make a fluffy scarf out of it. Yotaka somehow starts to panic, then becomes strangely interested as soon as they say they’ll give him oil to make it all pretty again :P.

Then we see Nobu running to Tae-Woo to warn him that Soo-Won and the Sky tribe have arrived.

Hisa’s thoughts on the chapter:

Turns out we won’t learn anything about the dragon shield yet since our dragon warriors are out of commission. I can’t say I’m fond of Gobi’s new crazed side. I thought he would be an interesting character and contender, but his reaction to the dragons’ powers makes it look like he just took a shot of Nadai or something. Which I would be fine with if I didn’t believe it’s probably not the case. Come on Gobi, I still have hopes for you, show me that you’re not just another disposable villain like the Sei rulers!

We already had an inkling Hak wouldn’t be so forgiving from his thoughts in the previous chapters, and now we know he might actually endanger the peace negotiations. It makes it very likely he’ll tell Yona he won’t be there during the talks with Soo-Won.

Next chapter: Tae-Woo gets his ass kicked by Soo-Won, Gobi becomes the new worship-Hiryuu-through-Nadai lord and the Princess-trio must face him alone, possibly to be saved by Prince Charming Soo-Won on his white horse.

(THEORY/PREDICTION) !!!

THEORY I WANT TO SHARE THAT I HAVE HAD IN MIND FOR AWHILE!

(Genos, Drive Knight, Metal Knight, Mad Cyborg related)

I had a theory awhile ago about Metal Knight and Drive Knight working together secretly, but now something tells me that is not the case whatsoever.

I think it’s strange on how Drive Knight tells Genos to not trust Bofoi off the bat in the beginning from the end of season 1.

Like he’s trying to turn on the possibility of a traitor in the HA in the mind of Genos (so he becomes worked up about it, which works and favors DK later on). Like he needs someone else to do his dirty work for him, due to DK already being seen as suspicious by MK.

(ik ik im stretching here and there but, let me cook)

But I feel like it’s strange on how Drive Knight tries to pin point it all at Metal Knight particularly because of his absence throughout the Hero Association. Like he’s trying to make it out as HE is the one Genos needs to target particularly. Especially because he’s the only other robot besides the 2 of them being part cyborg.

Does Drive Knight tell this information to anyone else, BESIDES GENOS?

No, not at all (at least that’s just from what I know and see, as he’s a very secretive person).

And I think it’s really strange when Drive Knight starts to mention about ‘knowing’ something evil about MK. It’s like he’s inserting himself, or with the people he might work with in secret. Like a new hidden organization yet to be announced in the storyline.

Especially on the first panel below this, when he tells Genos why he’s telling him this. It all seems so manipulative, stalker kind of vibe, trying to share common ground/change his persona to be likable/trust worthy. He’s suspiciously trying a little to hard to gain his trust, he’s trying to be a victim like him, I guess gain sympathy in a way?

It’s like Metal Knight KNOWS he’s in a mentally unstable condition, that Genos seems desperate enough to find out about his ‘mad cyborg’ killer sooner or later.

If someone very important to him happened to die, Genos would whole heartily (maybe with a grain of salt) follow Drive Knights information. (Wanna know what happened? KUSENO DIED, HIS FATHER FIGURE, SOMEONE WHO WAS THERE FOR HIM IN THE BEGINNING. And wanna know what he did after? He used that information from Drive Knight to go after Metal Knight.)

Also-

HOW DOES DRIVE KNIGHT KNOW THAT GENOS’ES VILLAGE AS BEEN DESTROYED BY A ‘mad cyborg’ AS WELL???

NO ONE TOLD HIM??

SO HOW DOES HE EXACTLY KNOW!???

(It’s like out of the blue.)

This only furthers my suspicions on Drive Knight.

Especially on the after math of Kuseno’s death and when robots invade nearby cities. In which Genos automatically assumes it’s the work of Metal Knight.

And now with new evidence from the newest webcomic chapter shows Metal Knights base, with no robots forming out of the base itself.

As all of his robots are by the HA HQ fighting the new other robots.

(Although the chapter isn’t fully translated yet, you can see DK, which proves my previous point up above in the third section.)

I actually think Drive Knight might be working with the association that destroyed Genos’es village. It would explain on why he’s trying to pin the blame on Metal Knight and to not become suspicious from Genos POV, giving him a good alibi for the most part.

And if anything that ‘mad cyborg’ killer could be Drive Knight himself, but that’s a bit of stretch if anything.

(IM PREDICTING IT THO! MARK MY WORDS!!)

A little bit more evidence mentions: (from the top of my head)

-Metal Knight tells Child Emperor to not trust anyone as his final message to him. We are shown a text of both of them used to being friends.

It’s like Metal Knight had to cut his connection towards CE for his safety as he MK already felt he was being watched himself. (But that might change due to the recent chapter that has yet to be translated, can’t fully confirm until then but just putting it out there.)

-Saitama tells Genos to just talk to Metal Knight and ask. But Genos pays no head to that, which might become his biggest mistake.

I feel like this is foreshadowing that once Genos gets close to Bofoi, and Bofoi tells him that he doesn’t know what he’s talking about/tells him straight up he had no relation to the event he speaks of. I feel like Genos might lose it completely even if Saitama is next to him and tries to calm him down.

Like I feel like Genos might almost kill Bofoi but Saitama stops Genos in time. And both start to argue and it’s starts to become sad from there.

-It’s strange how after Genos talked to DK for a bit, then Kuseno dies.

Coincidence? I think not.

It’s like Kuseno was on DK’s hit list for him and the people that he works with/the association that killed Genos’es village. And they had to get rid of him one way or another, it would explain why there was random strong robots there. They were being tracked and targeted, mainly Dr.Kuseno (as if he was getting close to the truth).

Like they to manipulate Genos just so DK could earn his trust and lose a lot of suspicion in his eyes. Even after Kusenos death.

-THE 2 MF ROBOTS FROM SEASON 1 THE SOUND O SONIC EP! (I think)

They appeared after taking back the suit of the big strong bald head guy.

It’s like very early foreshadowing of members for another association, yet to still appear out of thin air. (IMO)
