I’ve never actually believed in the dream Stan to dream anti pipeline I’ve always assumed that those antis weren’t ever stans. I’ve been a dream Stan since July 2020, I’ve defended them countless times. I remember telling myself when the Reddit scandal came out that if it was true I was going to walk away and he told us all otherwise by then I’d followed you and you told us all he lied. I reasoned with myself, I remember telling myself “well I don’t live in America so does it really affect me?” And I continued to watch him despite knowing he had lied. Then the manatreed situation happened and at first I defended him then I stopped. Since mana happened I’ve found myself distancing away from Dream and his content. I didn’t watch his streams, I cancelled my subscription to him on twitch. I didn’t care when he went live. I stopped going on twitter. I haven’t checked this page in weeks and I used to check it every day. The realisation hit me when Dream announced his final manhunt, and I adored the manhunts, I no longer gave a fuck. I was done. I’m done. I haven’t watched that manhunt and it’s been how long? I’ve seen practically very manhunt premier since I’ve been a Stan and yet I can’t be bothered to watch it days later. I’m so angry with him and myself, he’s lied time and time again and yet everyone still believes him and it makes me so fuckin mad. I finally understand the Stan to anti pipeline.

in a weird way, I feel really bad for introducing you to this stand to anti-pipeline because there are times where I genuinely feel for dream very heavily because I recognize a sense of self preservation and practically everything he does.

It’s so obvious to me that he craves validation and love from his stans like no other YouTuber does, no longer just on a financial and PR stability basis but a genuine need to feel validated by other people, and any time something threatens that, he immediately goes into full lockdown mode. He starts spouting nonsense to just get people back on his side and in the beginning when people were a little less inclined to believe in him (the parasocial relationship hadn’t really formed yet between Stan and creator) it was very bad for him because people would call him out and he would try and bombard his stans with love and content and they just wouldn’t accept it. They would call him out on how bad it looks and you wouldn’t really see this kind of acceptance you see today from the stans back then, but ever since more parasociality has formed between the stans and creator, we see dream use that self-preservation instinct even more and more and I think it reveals a really troubled guy because if you need that kind of validation from your stans so much that lying is your only resort, you can’t even grow up and apologize from the things you did because youre so convinced your stans will be angry with you, then I think somethings genuinely messed up in your head and I think that’s some thing that dream probably needs to address on his own personal time.

relying on your fans love this much is crazy and you can’t tell me it’s for a PR decision because how many times has Dreamgone through genuine PR disasters and given a response that can easily be proved as fake? like I think genuinely dream just has the self-preservation instinct because he needs the validation of stans loving him so so bad and needs to know that all times that they will be on his side no matter what and as soon as he feels that they aren’t he just goes into lockdown mode and it’s really really upsetting to watch especially because he’s someone I thought I could respect but in reality he’s just doing anything he can to keep his stans on his side. It really shows someone troubled because again a grown man should not rely on Stans love that much.

I don’t know if this makes sense at all but it does make me sad that dream has this psyche and it makes me worried for the day that he might do something totally unredeemable and people won’t be on his side and I really do wonder how he’ll recover from it. Its not a matter of if, Its a matter of when. Dream is not untouchable there will be some thing that Dream does or has already done just waiting to be dug up that will ruin him and very few people will stay on his side and that’s when I truly do fear for what’s going to happen to him, mentally.

Never saw what happened and there's just so little information about it that all they have is these assumptions and pieces that just suggest that these guys met up, walked up to the goddamn waterfall having a nice civil conversation about how talented and smart they both were at this and how they revealed their methods to each other and complimented them because of course they did

And they just sat up there talking to each other so long and Moriarty legit waited politely or even possibly was the one that suggested he write a letter to watson in which sherlock just went "damn lol moriarty's pretty nice actually anyway uhhhh sorry watson ily ✌" and just like. left it up there in his damn cigarette box

But just like. damn the insinuation that moriarty just sat there and watched while he wrote that entire goddamn letter, sealed it up, and then got up and went alright buddy let's go but it makes no goddamn sense if they wanted to actually kill each other and assure they themselves would survive I could name like 23 different ways they could have managed it so easily and they Didn't. they were really set on mutual destruction huh. There's no way they were even trying to do anything but Die Together at that point and that's Something huh

It was certainly a ride. But the fact that Watson had to actively try to think like Sherlock to figure out what happened in the scene was just. The cherry on top. Especially after they'd consciously started to switch roles in this i just. Damn.
