Sunday 8th August, 1943
The mess hall buzzed with energy as Buck and Johnny sat at breakfast with Curt, who slowly moved his powdered eggs around on his plate with his fork.
“I can’t eat this shit anymore,” he groaned, pushing the plate away from him.
John took a slow sip of his “coffee,” raising an eyebrow at the man. “Then don’t eat it.”
“Oh wow,” Biddick quipped. “What a great idea, Bucky. I’d never thought of that.”
The major smirked behind his mug and shot his friend a wink. Buck watched on in amusement, used to the two going back and forth as he and John did.
Leaning his elbows on the table, Curt leaned over the table toward John with a teasing glare. “Have you heard anything from Ruthie? Has she mentioned me? I thought I made a good first impression the other night.”
“Hmm,” Johnny hummed, pursing his lips for a moment before pointing at Biddick. “That’s Nurse Morgan to you, you dodo. I’m surprised you even remember anything from the dance with how drunk you were.”
“Oh I couldn’t forget a face like that,” he chuckled.
John’s eyes narrowed playfully as he clasped his hands together and leaned on the table. “Well it’s a good thing for me that she could forget yours, then,” he clapped back. “And you’re not the one she kissed goodnight.”
Buck rolled his eyes and continued to eat his breakfast as Egan’s loud, wide-mouthed cackle echoed through the mostly quiet mess hall. Curt then turned to Gale with a raised brow. “How about Hope-”
“Nope,” Buck interrupted calmly, raising his cup and taking a sip of his steaming coffee.
The other two men watched him as a tiny grin formed on the Major’s lips. Although he didn’t talk about it much, they could tell Buck had already developed deep feelings for the woman.
Raising his eyebrows at Curt, John grinned. “Oh boy.”
“You’ve got it bad, Buck,” Biddick laughed, his hand landing on Gale’s shoulder roughly. “You gotten a reply to your letter yet?”
Thinking of the perfectly folded letter from Ruth he’d picked up that morning sitting in his breast pocket, John smiled down at his food, warmth spreading through him at the thought of the blonde. Buck, however, pursed his lips and shook his head at the question.
“I actually haven’t written her yet,” he sighed, running a hand down his face. “I want-”
“What!?” Johnny all but yelled, his eyes widening as coffee almost spewed from his mouth. “Why the hell not, Buck? I already sent one to Ruth and got a response.”
Gale groaned and put down his fork with a clink. “Because of Hugh.”
“Why are you so worried about Charlie?” Curtis asked, wearing a confused expression.
“Because he’s in my squadron. And he’s her brother.”
John pointed and leaned over the table at him. “Hope’s a big girl, Buck. She can make her own decisions. Screw what Hugh says.”
“But-” Gale started but was once again cut off by Bucky.
“He’s gonna hate you even more if he thinks you're leading her on. You not sending Hope a letter isn’t making anything better,” he said, a smirk beginning to tug at his lips as he continued. “On top of the condom situation.”
John and Curt busted out into chuckles as Buck just groaned, closing his eyes tightly. “Oh, please don’t remind me.”
The ideal chatter was disturbed by the door to the mess hall swinging back on its hinges with a crash, followed by heavy footfall as Hugh all but stormed through the building like a tornado. He snatched a mug off a table and poured himself a steaming cup of black coffee before marching past the trio, staring daggers at Gale who looked up worriedly from his breakfast.
Curt’s eyes followed the man as he walked in, muttering under his breath, “Speak of the devil.”
"Good morning to you, too, Sparky," John called out with a small wave as he walked by, only to be met with deafening silence from the other pilot.
Hugh's harsh glare was burning a hole in the back of Gale’s skull and he thought any second now he’d come into his brain and it would be lights out.
“You’ve really pissed him off this time, Buck, and you didn’t even get his sister into bed,” John laughed heartily, taking a long swig from his whiskey and coffee, it was most likely more whiskey than coffee but Gale humored him.
“Will you give it a rest? I’m already getting it from Hugh without your added input,” Gale stabbed aggressively at his scrambled eggs, willing the eyes of the room to stop looking at him.
Curt snorted beside him, waving his fork around. “Well, I’m telling you boys, if I’d have had Hope in my arms and she’d bought condoms with her, let’s just say she wouldn’t have been going back home with them.”
That was the final straw.
Gale slammed his fist down on the table, ignoring the way Johnny jumped in his seat, spilling his coffee over the table, and the way several chunks of his scrambled egg disappeared onto the floor,
“You say anymore slander about my girl, Biddick and I swear…”
“Your girl, Buck?” John raised his right eyebrow, an amused smirk on his lips as his mustache twitched. “She’s your girl and you haven’t even written her yet?”
Sometimes Gale wished he could rip that stupid mustache off John’s face, but he somehow kept his cool.
It would seem that Hugh had heard the whole commotion. His chair screeching back from the table, he stomped up between the tables once more, his glare never leaving Gale until the door slammed shut behind him.
Gale groaned, unsure if it was in relief or at the impending doom that he was likely to suffer if this debacle continued. Without a second thought, he excused himself from the table, ignoring the calls of protest from John and Curt, and hurried after Hugh.
“Hugh! Hugh, wait up. Please I want to talk to you,” Gale jogged after the tall brunette whose face turned sour the instant he noticed the man.
“Buck, I ain’t in the mood for more bullshit okay? I thought you were a good guy…nothing like Egan, but you're just as bad, and you’re playing with my sister's heart. I can’t have you breaking it,” Hugh snapped, his dark eyebrows set in a permanent crease on his forehead as he spoke. “She’s all I’ve got Buck, don’t take her from me too.”
“What do you mean? I wouldn’t take her away from you…?” Gale began but Hugh shook his head.
“Not literally but if you break her heart she won’t be visiting Thorpe Abbott any time soon. Her plane landing here has been the best part of this damn war,” Hugh's eyes were teary and he seemed deflated compared to his normally bubbly character. The missions had been taking their toll on all of them but it never seemed to hit Hugh, unless he just never let on Gale was realising.
“Do you want me to stop contacting her? I understand if you do, Hugh. I care for your sister deeply but I care about my crew too. I never asked permission to court your sister and that was wrong of me. I have strong feelings for her but I understand if you want me to stop,” Gale tried to keep his composure but his heart ached painfully in his chest at the thought of never seeing Hope again, never seeing her smile, the way her eyes creased when she laughed.
Hugh shook his head, “I can’t ask that of you, Buck.”
“Why not?”
“Because I’ve seen the way you look at her and the way she looks at you. That kind of love belongs on a silver screen, it’s not real, until you stumble across two people that it is real for and that’s you and Hope. I love my little sister with all my heart and she’s finally found someone she thinks worthy of hers. You just treat her right, Gale.”
Buck nodded quickly, “I swear to you that I have Hope’s best intentions at heart. I think I love her, Hugh. I really truly love her. Nothing has been the same since I met her, I can’t sleep without thinking of her, can’t eat, every time I fly I wonder if she’s flying too.”
Hugh nodded half heartedly, “Yeah, that sounds a awful lot like love to me. Well, it could be worse. I could have Egan as my future brother in law instead. That would be worse right?”
Gale chuckled, “Of course. Far worse.”
Hugh patted Gale on the back, a small smile now on his lips as his anger subsided, “Hope really likes you Gale, so don’t fuck things up okay? And for Christ sake write her back, she’s doing my head in asking about you.”
Gale smirked as Hugh walked away, “Thanks Sparky,” he called and was greeted with Hugh raising his middle finger in the air. So he had Hugh’s blessing, now all he had to do was write to Hope.

Thursday 12th August, 1943
“You ready girls!” Frank called over his shoulder, glancing as Hope and Ruth took the stretcher from the medics below them, and loaded the last wounded soldier onto the wrack. Hope pulled out her flight manifest and checked off the final patient to board. The young boy reached out, grasping Hope’s hand.
“Nurse,” his voice cracking as he tried to grab her attention. He was so young, barley eighteen years old. His bright blue eyes, glossy and hazy as he gazed up at her.
“Yes, My Love,” Hope crouched down, clasping the boy's hand in one of hers while her other brushed away his brunette locks from his face. She tried to stop her eyes from drifting down his body to where only stumps of his legs remained, the burnt flesh wrapped neatly in crisp bandages.
“You’re an angel,” he whispered and Hope smiled sweetly at him, squeezing his hand. “When I write home, I’m gonna tell my Mumma ‘bout you.”
A single tear trickled down her cheek and she leant forward, pressing a soft kiss to his forehead and watching until he drifted off to sleep. His delicate, young features no longer etched with worry and the hard lines across his forehead softening as the morphine began to take effect.
Hope turned watching as Ruth comforted one of the other young men further down the plane who had managed to remove some of his bandages.
“Hey, don’t do that, you need those,” Ruth tutted, helping the Private sit up a little so she could secure fresh, white bandages around his bloody arm. The poor boy grumbled under his breath as Ruth tucked in the end. “Now leave them be, okay?”
The young boy nodded, shifting uncomfortably in his cot. They were the most comfortable racks, cool metal bars lining the hammock-like beds that swayed as the C47 rocked through the sky.
Hope took her seat beside Ruth, who had finished trying to redress the soldier's wounds, smiling briefly at her friend, who wore the same exhausted expression she did.
“I can’t wait to get back to the Grove. I need a warm bath and my bed,” Ruth mumbled, stretching out her aching muscles that screamed against the tension in her body.
“Oh don’t say that, Rue. We’ve still got to drop these poor lads off at the hospital in Mateur yet.” Ruth just groaned in response.
The dance with the boys had been their last outing in a while. It was the last time Hope hadn’t felt completely exhausted, she’d been relaxed, able to let go, and safe in Gale’s arms.
This trip had been hard. The plane was at full capacity and when they had arrived on the airfield at Termini Imerese, Sicily they were instantly thrown into action. Disappearing into tent hospitals that lined the airfield, their white tents flapping in the harsh wind that did little to cool the heat from the scorching midday sun.
Hope and Ruth conferred with the surgeons, assessing and stabilising patients that were safe to fly, meaning that many of the young men with head injuries or who had suffered significant blood loss would be unable to fly due to the unpressurised aircraft cabins. Many of the men didn’t have emergency medical tags and so the girls had to make their own assessments for many of the patients.
The thrumming roar of the wind C47’s engine erupting to life always brought a great sense of comfort to Hope, along with an impending sense of fear in unison. This job, while rejuvenating her youth through the exhilarating flights and the lives they saved, aged her with each passing moment spent in the air, because after every successful landing she was left with the feeling that although they had saved lives, they couldn’t save them all.
Frank and his fellow pilot chatted hastily in the cockpit, their muffled voices cracking through over the radio. As soon as the plane levelled out Hope and Ruth stood, each taking a side of the plane and beginning the check ups on their patients, recording their temperature, pulse and respiration as well as checking there was no strike through of blood from their dressings. The girls worked quickly, only confiring on their patients conditions.
It always amazed Hope how quickly their work changed them, on the flight over Ruth had been once again telling her about the letter she’d received from John. Hope feared she could probably quote Ruth’s letter herself by now, but she never complained, pleased that Ruth was finally coming out of herself.
Hope had her own letter from Gale tucked into her top overall pocket, over her heart. His words burning into her flesh and she felt as though he was right there beside her all along.
Tumblr media
Having dropped off the soldiers at the large US hospital in Mateur, Tunisia, the C47 headed home. The mood was somber as the large metal bird rattled its way across Europe towards home.
Ruth’s eyes had closed about half an hour previous and Hope didn’t have the heart to wake her up. She looked so peaceful, the wrinkles that normally appeared when she smiled were smoothed away, and her blonde locks fell softly from where she had so lovingly pinned them that very morning.
Hope took Gale’s letter out of her pocket, smoothing out the creases that had poked around the edge of the page. Words of affirmation sprung out at her and a smile was instantly cemented to her lips as she relived the last moments with him.
The flight home always seemed quicker and soon ‘The Angel of Death’ was touching down on the runway. Hope helped a rather sleepy Ruth off the plane, and waved goodnight to Frank, who chucked in amusement at Ruth.
“Goodnight Ladies.”
“Come on, Rue. Let’s get you home,” Hope wrapped her arm around her sleepy friend, leading the way to the Nissan huts they were billeted in. Some of the other nurses were still stationed in Africa and so they currently had the hut to themselves.
Hope lay Ruth down on the bed, smiling as she snuggled closer into the pillow, so much for a warm bath. She would rigg her about it later but she could deny that the stress of the day was getting to her too, but something restless kept her from falling into her own bed.
Instead Hope sat at the small desk in the corner, pulling free a piece of paper and a pen. She pulled Gale’s crumpled letter from her pocket and smoothed it flat onto the desk, reading back over his words.
Sunday 8th August
Dearest Hope,
I’m sorry it has taken me so long to write you. I fear that I may have caused some friction with your brother but it appears I have ‘gained his blessing’ to court you. Please don’t be annoyed at him, he’s only looking out for you. He cares for you deeply, as do I and he only wants what’s best for you. Apparently, he deems me as something that is good for you, I only hope you can agree with him.
I have thought of nothing but you since the dance. The way your face lit up in the moonlight. I often close my eyes and imagine you still in my arms, swaying underneath the stars. The smell of your perfume, your soft hair against my face, your lips on mine. I apologise if I speak too plainly but I feel very strongly for you Hope. I would very much like to see you again soon, although I hear from Ruth’s letter to Bucky that you have been flying back and forth to Sicily. I hear that Italy is a very beautiful country. Maybe someday when this war is won we could visit together.
We have a mission next week and I fear that each time we loose more of our boys. It is inevitable but it is hard to not let it bother you. I hope that if you have some time off soon that you may visit Thorpe Abbott again. I could give you a tour of the Fort should you wish me too.
I hope to receive your reply soon.
I’m thinking of you always my darling.
Love your
Gale
Hope grinned at his words ‘her Gale’, she’d never imagined that a man like Gale would want her. He was a Major after all, strikingly handsome and one of the kindest men she had ever met, and he was hers. Trying not to giggly like a love sick fool, she put her pen to paper.
Thursday 12th August
Dear Gale,
I’m so glad to have received your letter. You had me worried for a while when Ruth received a letter from John and you hadn’t written. I’m sorry my brother has been causing you such trouble. He means well and he is just trying to look out for me but he sometimes forgets that I am a grown woman now.
Our latest flights have taken us to Sicily and the wounds we are seeing are far more severe than I have seen before. More and more boys are coming home without limbs and I fear that this war will only take more and more from us. A young boy today, no more than eighteen, called me an angel. It is silly really but I fear that my face is the last that many boys have seen. Their tortured souls finally find some peace.
I am sorry to speak so morbidly, today has been a tough one. I do hope to visit Thorpe Abbott again very soon and I know that Ruth does too. In fact she is rather adamant on it.
I often think of our time together at the dance, despite the lack of actually dancing, it is one of the best nights of my life and one of my fondest memories. I hope we can have many more nights like that one.
Keep safe up there Gale.
Yours
Hope

Knock. Knock. Knock.
“Hope! Ruth! You alive in there?” a voice hollered through the hut’s door, rousing Ruth for the second time that morning. She opened her mouth to reply, but Hope beat her to it.
“Go away, Frank!” she groaned, covering her ears with her pillow.
“It’s almost noon,” the man chuckled. “I know you’re tired but you both need to get up. We’ve got stuff to do.”
Sitting up abruptly, Ruth grabbed her watch off her small side table, her eyes widening when she read 11:43 am. She looked over to Hope who was also staring at her watch in utter disbelief.
“I haven’t slept in this much since I was a teenager,” Hope muttered under her breath before turning to Ruth, almost breaking into a fit of laughter at the blonde’s wonky curls from the day before. “We look terrible.”
Frank pounded his fist against the door, yelling, “Get up!”
“WE ARE!!” They both hollered back, unable to keep the frustration from lacing their voices.
Throwing off her covers, Hope stood to her feet and marched over to the door, swinging it open. Ruth clamored quickly out of bed to follow her, stopping right behind her shoulder as they glared at Frank. His eyes scanned the women before him, and a grimace appeared on his face at their ragged appearances.
“Okay,” he started, raising his hands in surrender. “Go back to sleep. You look like shit, and I’d rather do things on the plane by myself than deal with your grumpy attitudes.”
They narrowed their eyes at him. “Nope. We’re awake now,” Hope retorted, smiling sweetly at him.
Sighing, Frank stepped back from the door with a barely concealed smirk. “Meet me at the hardstand.”
As Hope shut the door, Ruth flopped back on her bed, her eyes following Hope’s figure walking across the room to the desk in the corner. “How’s Gale?” she asked, propping her head up with her hand.
Hope began to neatly fold up the letter, smiling softly as she talked over her shoulder. “He’s good. Said he didn’t write because of Hugh causing problems, but he’s got his blessing now.” She turned toward Ruth with dusty pink cheeks, giggling to herself. “He even signed his last letter with ‘your Gale.’”
“Hope!” Ruth squealed, sitting up and covering her mouth with her hands. “I’m so happy for you. You deserve someone like Gale, and I’m sure Hugh sees how much he adores you.”
Hope looked down at the letter in her hands, her heart swelling at the thought of the man. “He’s amazing,” she whispered as her eyes traced over his name on the paper. After a few moments, she shook her head, seemingly clearing her thoughts, and raised an eyebrow at Ruth. “How’s John?”
It was now Ruth’s turn to blush, the tips of her ears heating up at the mention of the major. “Great, amazing, wonderful. I feel like I’ve known him so much longer than a few weeks, Hope. You know how I can get sometimes, but when I’m with him, I don’t feel nearly as anxious. And when he kissed me…I wished it could’ve lasted forever. I can’t wait to see him again.”
Sighing softly, Hope plopped down onto her bed. “Look at us, Rue. We’re like a bunch of lovesick teenagers.”
“Yeah, we are,” Ruth giggled, her mind replaying her and John’s laughter, soft touches, and tender looks from the dance. The way he held her face so delicately, how his lips-
“Come on,” Hope called, her mattress squeaking as she got up, breaking Ruth from her thoughts. “Let’s get ready so we can go annoy Frank.”

I would very much like to hear your trans Wilbur headcanons!
OHHHHHHH boy I’m not on my computer so this might not be as fast as I want it to be but sit down so you can strap in I’m just getting started
(For context even pre-transition we’re gonna use she/he/it pronouns and both identifiers.)
Uhhh trans-typical trigger warnings. We’re not just getting into the “cosmetic” shit of being trans.
So C!Wilbur for years before his death: egg. I made an edit about it that which is in my bigender wilbur tag but anyway yeah. Girlie was deeep in the closet. She was envious of all the people who got to live the life they wanted and feel bad about it or completely oblivious to it. (c!Eret came out to it and bro didn’t even fucking realize just died a little on the inside and thought it was transphobic.)
She’s so attached to a nonexistent “manhood” that she’s actively pushing herself further in the closet, because men are big and strong and tough and she’s leading a country, so if there’s any doubts about being a man there’s definitely no time for that! (Which there aren’t, so she’s good.) It’s never liked armor and always brushed the idea off, and if it visualizes itself in a dress every once in a while and would love to model one, or pretends his coat was just was a little bit longer, then no one needs to know. And he doesn’t need to understand.
Pogtopia just turns it up to eleven. Its body is wrong and that’s bad, and she keeps visualizing herself like a man, like Schlatt, and crying. But also a lot of it is also the normal crying? And this kind of crying is different from the crying she usually does, the crying that Tommy doesn’t know how to help and the crying that Techno suspiciously says nothing on. There are no mirrors in Pogtopia. For good reason. There are mirrors in Schlatt’s office.
Something is wrong he can tell, something is wrong. And she doesn’t know what it is, and it scares the living fuck out of her.
Fast forward a few years into limbo, Wilbur is fiddling with her shirt and suddenly a thought: hey, what if I had tits. Like actual ones? The thought just takes him so far off guard, it stops fiddling with its shirt entirely, dropping it in the embarrassment. What the fuck?
The thoughts continue like this and with no one to talk to, Wilbur can literally do nothing but self-reflect, and oh my God does he want to wear dresses? Does she want long hair? It’s stuck in the body and with limbo allowing no recluse, he mourns.
It suffers like this for a while, eventually concluding, “I am what I am,” but it’s still not an answer. It’s just a dismissal.
Wilbur doesn’t bring it up when Tommy follows him into to limbo, too busy occupied with having someone for the first time. And if she lets a few things slip that Tommy definitely doesn’t catch uhhhh who knows.
Revival drags him back to life. And suddenly, his body has weight again, he can feel the warmth on his skin, and the air in between his lungs, and it’s everything he ever wanted. Then crash.
All the pieces he tried to forget over limbo just come hurtling back like a bullet train. Too loose shirt, hair that doesn’t feel right, too masculine, not what he wants- What he wants?
This is all too much, he can’t figure this shit out on his own.
Despite himself (herself?), she goes to find Eret. Niki might kill her, and going to his son about this, it just simply couldn’t take. It remembers sixteen years ago, when they came out to Wilbur. Or was it a year? Fuck.
Either way.. Breathe tepid and heart racing, he knocks on the door to Eret’s museum. She opens, and God, this just isn’t worth it. It turns to run away and feels a hand on its shoulder. Something cold runs up the spine of his back, and she immediately smacks the hand away, fully ready to blow her top. Then it falters. He’s ready to walk off, call this a bust and just go home, but then Eret speaks: “Wilbur?”
God.
“…Can we talk about something?”
Surprisingly, the first thing on Eret’s mind wasn’t Wilbur’s coming out. (Crazy, right?) They talk properly about all the shit that’s happened with conversations they really needed to have, Wilbur definitely cried a few times, tried his best to not start arguments, but somehow, he went in for an explanation and came back with one of his oldest enemies by his side.
What he thought would be a small talk eventually blossomed into her first real reconciliation.
He’s so anxious to try on a dress, a dichotomy from the confident, suave Wilbur Eret once knew, but as she slipped it on, her eyes lit up. Eret brushed out its hair for it, pulling the lower half of it into a ponytail and talking about how fast Wilbur’s hair already grows. Its heart swells with pride.
Bigender. That was the word. She rolled it over on her tongue over and over again, bigender. It fit. Its identity wasn’t black and white, no one or the other. Because yeah, sometimes he was a guy, and sometimes she was a fucking girl. God.

Took you long enough to see it  [Okay, I'm sorry, but it's not that good a photo]
[I love these three. OC, Herbal, and Sketchy are my adored.  I also love Normal anthropomorphizing the packages :)]
Ahhh another intense episode
Oh noooo!  Intense for more than just Max
Ok I’m sorry maybe it’s just me but the doctor said this very weird  [Is true.]  Like at first his tone was you may need to do it.  Then it swapped to ehhh you don’t wanna do it.  [Tis true.  Also, Logan looking at him like, "Bud, you're not convincing me not to do surgery" is kinda funny]
Uh oh busted
[OH SHIT OH FUCK Max’s line about “Look how thin she is; can you say eating disorder?” is so horrible given what I've heard about Alba’s time on set.]
The thing I don’t get. These kids escaped… what does he think is gonna happen if he catches them after all this time… they are just gonna be like. Oooop ya got me! Now I’ll work for you again  [Yeah.  Don’t forget, you haven’t met PsyOps yet]  True
[Poor Normal, acting all hurt and slighted… "She didn't come back from her morning run; imagine that. I had some high hopes for you, pal, but you just turned out to be like all the rest, didn’t you? Just a great, big, fat goose egg." cough cough, you didn’t come back and that hurt my feelings :((((]  ☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️  Looool true  [Am I wrong?  That's the vibe it's got.]  Not at all lol it really is
[Zach continues to annoy me, just btw]  OC gonnn fuck him up  [She should!!!]
Zogan pt 2  [I'm telling you; Lach]  Bruh.  Turn my brain off.  Turn it off.  I don’t wanna be here.  These aren’t the fics that Anon was asking for.
HOW IS HE DRIVING
Oh wait it actually shows the mechanisms this time… Run him over!
But also, I feel like he wouldn’t be such a natural at a handicap vehicle.  Like, just have the trainer drive.
[Normal has a bad habit of doing what he thinks is right and it not being right, btw] ☠️☠️☠️
Normal.  My Buddy.  You got lipgloss on.  [WAIT WHAT?!  PAUSE.  We'll do the midpoint reaction early; I gotta check]  Ok lol  [oh my god he does.  OH MY GOD HE DOES.  YOU'RE NOT WRONG!!!]  😂😂😂
Ooooooo imma slap a Zach
Oh, speak of the devil (Max) and she shall appear
All these people shooting at her and all of them missing; she’s not even dodging?!?!  They’re like Stormtroopers!
– – –
Midpoint reaction: (note: from here on out — on both this episode and the next, maybe on some others too, though they’ll be labelled if so — this reaction was done on a voice call.  The conversation has been assembled after the episode as well as we could, but it’s not word-for-word!)
Jezebel: This episode’s another intense one, and very nerve-wracking, but not a lot’s really happened in this one?
Wench: I KNOW.  Like, this is really intense, but also, somehow, really slow, and, come on, writers, are you ever going to advance the plot???
Jezebel: All I’ve got right now is Lach, and I don’t want it, but it’s there.  Like, that last exchange felt like a Max/Logan scene, but they swapped Max out for Zach
Wench: EXACTLY.  And that exchange about the window being open?  Literally a parallel to the pilot.  I think that line was an exact callback, in fact, though I haven’t checked to confirm for sure.
Jezebel: Normal’s got a decently big part in this episode…
Wench: Comments for Normal Anon?
Jezebel: He’s mighty shiny lol
Wench: And favorite characters at this point?
Jezebel:  Kinda hard to say.  Before I started watching NCIS again, I was like meh: Logan was just there.  But now that I’m back hyperfixating on the show again, I love Logan even though there’s no reason to.  OC is up there, then Herbal, just because I like their bits.  And I hate that I don’t like Max because Jessica Alba is hot.
Wench: (re. OC/Herbal et al) I feel so bad for not liking/rewatching season 1 much because I’m coming to the conclusion that I really love the Jam Pony scenes.
Jezebel: Right?!?!  I loved scenes like the last episode's
Wench: Normal did not deserve that!!!
Jezebel: He really didn’t!  He’s… I’m trying to come up with a comparable character, and it’s not much working.  He’s not “I can’t stand him; he’s so horrible.”  He’s not even that bad.  He’s just a bit annoying sometimes.  But I like him at other times.  Maybe Hotch?  I would say gibbs but I know you have strong feelings against him ☠️☠️☠️  Maybe the Gibbs gibbs is supposed to be?  He’s complex! Cause normal is an ass… but not an asshole. There’s a difference ☠️  And I don’t recall another character being that dorky kinda loveable but assish too.
Wench: Yeah, that makes sense!  And I think you’re gonna get more insight into him next episode, which is why I said wait until then for the Normal Bingo.
Jezebel: Ah, I see!
Wench: Any other comments before we go on?
Jezebel: Just this, and you should put it in bold and italics or something in the reaction… THIS ONE WAS VERY SLOW
Wench: All-caps and bold it is :)
– – –
He looks like William Shatner from Star Trek
[btw, it bears mentioning that Max is already acting suspiciously, to the point that everyone at her workplace, aside from OC and kinda Herbal, thinks she might be the murderer the Wanted posters are looking for.  She’s suspicious even before the whole transgenic scare in season 2, so, once again, why does OC try to unite everyone behind her???]
“Are you not a man- *pause* -to be taken lightly?”
“Uh...mmm...Yeah. I mean, no. Uh...uh, yeah, I most certainly am...not.”  Not a man, huh?  I see.
[Why are the car scenes with Zach, Logan, and Max so awkwarddddd (I say as if I don’t know)]
Did she say “it’s sad”?  [I think so].  Who just says “it’s sad?!?”
[SKETCHY HAVING A NORMAL-APPRECIATION MOMENT]
Poor Sketchy [His hair just looks so disheveled]
“Blah blah woof woof”  Wot?  [No clue!!  She said that earlier and I still have no clue what it means]  I’m gonna have to use that.  Well, look it up and then use it
[MAX AND LOGAN JUST KISSED??? I FORGOT THAT]
This is such a “oh, my woman just left.  Of course it’s gonna rain; I’m gonna go sit at the window” moment.  Didn’t he do that when the ex-wife left?  [Yup alksdjf]  He’s very Bella-Swan-coded.  [You’re right!!!]
The rain is making it look like he’s crying and that’s making it even sadder
[SHE’S DOING IT TOO. Little did we realize they’re both Bella Swan]
[He held onto that glass — and her hand around that glass — a bit too long]. This whole scene, like, screams “well, we aren’t really blood siblings”
You were twelve.
[This scene is so concernin-  *Zach brushes Max’s hair behind her ear* I’M SORRY?!?!  “SOME ASSEMBLY REQUIRED” WHO?!!?]
I love how Normal's actor realized he’d messed up his hair by brushing his hand through it, so he fixed it first
The guy in lock-up be like “Hey, I like your lipgloss” to Normal
Uh oh, something’s wrong.  What’s trainer see?  “Oh my god he’s dead”?
OH MY GOD HE’S DEAD
Did she just get a sixth sense or something?  [Apparently!!!]  There’s something not right with the force.  (Be funny if Zach looked up, too, though)
He ded
Logan didn’t really collapse; he just laid down on a table [this is only the first of two times minimum he does that this series]
[btw, there’s no way she didn’t just break her leg with that physics]
Oh, no, not again  [what is that prolonged eye contact between Max and Zach, too?!]
Oh, my god, that’s right where I passed out; this is why I can’t be a doctor.  Blood would shoot out at me and they’d be like, welp, doctor’s down
[I repeat, that photo does not even look like her]
What operating rooms are right there where you can see them from the waiting room?
I thought that was Logan; I was like, he’s cured!
[What is this doctor-patient confidentiality???  I didn’t realize all you had to do to bypass HIPAA was pull puppy-dog eyes and repeat, “Is he dying?”]  It’s ‘cause she’s pretty
“Yeah, no problem, stranger that I don’t know knows this patient; you can stay here all alone”
*Max begins a blood transfusion*  This is why you don’t just leave random people alone with patients
When Logan gets up, he needs to be like, so you care now?
HOW LONG HAVE THEY LEFT HER WITH HIM
[Wait, it’s that red balloon again alksdjf]
You couldn’t even dream him walking?
Needs to say “Bitch, I can’t walk”
He actually said it
Oh, and again: “If I can’t walk, I can’t dance”
I wonder if you donate organs, this happens.  That’d be weird
You gotta love when the writers are like, this is gonna be so sweet and cute and the best scene ever and it’s just… not.  [You’re not wrong]  Like, this is cute enough and all, but it’s also really weird
And it’s also gonna give some poor person with epilepsy a seizure
And that’s the end of the series; they die together
[They just put a blood-deprived person in general lock-up; how is she still standing?!]  Exactly!  And they didn’t even give her a bandaid; they just pulled out the needle.  And I’ve been to the hospital and gotten an IV, and they pulled out the needle, and blood went everywhere.  It’s like the scene in SPN where Dean broke his leg and then pulled out the IV and there was just nothing.  I’m like, this is a show about hunting supernatural creatures, but this is the unrealistic bit.  [This is the most unrealistic thing in this show, and the brothers fight god with a gun.]
Well, dang, they got Zach too
[I’m sorry, but that was such a teen movie way of leaving.  “Oh, I’m just gonna… toss my hair… and then jump over this wall.”]
Who licks their glasses arm like that?  Like, it’s one thing to chew on it, but Lintlicker, like… licked it
[Poor Sketchy’s still struggling.  And Normal looks beat.  But I like his jacket, btw]
[They let the stranger back in]  They were like, well, ya know what, she did a good thing; she saved him
[“He cares about you.  And I don’t mean just like a brother.”  DAMN IT STARTED THIS EARLY?]
And back to denying it.  Like, come on, you shared a blood dream.  [I can’t believe that even happened]
Right back to solving one problem and bringing up another one.
[Nasally monologue returns]  And so does her talking in circles!
— — —
Jezebel: Well, in the second half, a lot happened!  They were like, we ain’t gonna put much in the first half because we’re gonna have to try and kill you in the second half.  Also, there’s like a ship… not unlocked, but it’s there.  They don’t want it to be there --- I don't want it to be there --- but it’s there.  Uh… I actually didn’t hate Max this episode.  Or even not-like her
Wench: I know!!! Though, admittedly, for an episode about Max, she was only in, like, three scenes
Jezebel: They could have made him collapsing a bit more dramatic, to be honest.  Like, sprawled out on the floor.  Or in his chair, still by the window.
Wench: I KNOW.  Like, I fell asleep over my homework all the time in high school/college, so he could just have been asleep; that was much less dramatic than it could/should have been.
Jezebel: And… the dream.  I’m gonna keep coming back to it.  If I had one final thought at the end of this episode, it was pinned back at that dream.  That was so weird.  But I think that’s a wrap, so.  Yeah!
– – –
Wench post-script during tagging; Kendra hasn’t been in, like, three episodes… I wonder if she’s off for good.  I know she leaves before s2, but I didn’t expect it this early!  I guess we’ll see as the episodes continue

thoughts on s5 in regard to my muses here
Canon
Kyler: Asshole. Completely IC. Wish there were more scenes of him pestering Tory and her turning him down like in s4 since he wanted to be the King Cobra and she and Robby broke up for a bit. I just love the little dynamic Joe and Peyton ad-libbed and I wanted more lmao. I think with Cobra Kai gone, he’ll focus more on wrestling and another sport, maybe football, but if Sensei Kim or Kreese show up with a new dojo somehow (less likely for Kreese for obvious reasons) I can see him going back to either of them.
Kenny: My little problem child you need to go to your room and think about what you’ve done jfc you basically attempted murder TWICE. I do think them leaning into Kenny becoming an aggressive bully was the right call to an extent, but I also think there should have been more conflict there at least for the first half of the season trying to reason with himself why his mentor and most trusted person in the dojo left. He was there because of Robby, now suddenly Robby’s out and trying to convince him that Cobra Kai is bad for him? That would at least give him pause for a while trying to figure out what changed so suddenly, I don’t think his relationship with Robby is something he would readily throw under the bus like that until more down the line when Silver’s got him convinced he can be the next big thing, because then he can see it from a distorted perspective of like “oh Robby’s just jealous and worried about me being better than him” and being mad about that. I do think after how everything went down he really is remorseful about some things, particularly how he didn’t listen to Robby and how fast he turned against him and Tory and anyone else who might have left. I think he needs guidance now more than ever, he needs to process his own behavior, and find his own balance of right and wrong because he doesn’t know what to think about anything anymore. Also ... Hawk should have flattened him lol that should in no way be an even fight, Kenny’s only hope for winning was landing that Silver Bullet.
Piper: She’s not there so I’m just going to assume she left Cobra Kai between seasons and the reason why is free real estate.
Lia: Also was not there so she is also free real estate this season.
OCs
Kevin: Was def rooting for Hawk the whole time. He was a lifeguard at the pool and kept taking up for everyone, which is the reason the teens weren’t kicked out until later when things really broke down. He also lost his lifeguard job there because he kept letting everyone stay in spite of their behavior, RIP. During the egg training, he got busted pretty early because he hid under the seat in his van, ate an edible bc “one won’t hurt”, and then passed the fuck out for twenty minutes.
Leo: Right now Cali and I have this plot where he’s seeing Nina hurt Tory when Tory comes to Cobra Kai to expose Silver and no one believes her bc she has no proof outside of saying he cheated. Which adds to him questioning, especially after talking with Jeanny afterward and seeing how it badly it affected her, but he still doesn’t leave then. He’s definitely out after Silver’s arrested though and he’s dealing with the realization that he stayed there because that’s what his family wanted for him and what they told him could give him a bright future but now his family’s association with Silver in general is a black mark on their reputations as a whole. I don’t think he’s going back to Miyagi-do / Eagle Fang without some convincing since he did get kicked out of Eagle Fang originally, but down the line he might, or he might join a different dojo. And yes, he is taking a lot of shit from his parents about the whole situation.
Hikari: You can bet your ass she’s big mad about Chozen getting hurt. It makes her even more upset when it comes to all the ex-Cobras, especially the ones that join Miyagi-do / Eagle Fang. She could have lost her sensei, she isn’t very quick to be forgiving or understanding about it. Chozen probably can’t get back to Okinawa soon with his injuries, so she’s staying as long as he is. She probably helped Chozen bust people during the egg thing instead of participating herself.
Bianca & Vincent: Bianca is a fake bitch trying to act like she had no idea about anything bad happening and like she supported Tory lmao. Vincent is going back to boxing, he’s a champion he doesn’t need this shit. He did still take Silver’s side though and would go back to Cobra Kai / Kim / Kreese if they had the chance. I think Bianca is completely done with karate outside of sticking her nose in the drama though, it was never really her thing anyway.
Diya: She breaks up with Vincent for good after s5 because of his reaction to the scandal and the fact that he still takes Silver’s side. Her reaction is basically “wow yeah everyone was right and you’re a really shitty person and I shouldn’t have stayed with you this long”. But they were toxic af also pretty co-dependent (in the bad way) so she’s having to make a lot of adjustments in her life now.
Asha: Just extremely happy that Cobra Kai is gone and Topanga can be Topanga again. She left during the buyout because she wouldn’t work for Silver, probably went to support Miyagi-do / Eagle Fang in their endeavors and then returned after Silver was ousted.
Winona: Also just really happy that Cobra Kai is gone lol. She hid in the tree during the egg training and got busted by Chozen close to the end.
Hale: Side eyeing the whole thing with Anthony and Kenny but otherwise largely unbothered. In her lane. Moisturized. Minding her business.

Y’all.
This woman came in and complained that the belt on the check stand was ‘too wet’, after throwing a fit last night about it not having been sanitized before she put her stuff down.
(after she ignored me asking her to wait a minute so I could sanitize it)
I bite my tongue and told her I was sorry but I didn’t have time to wipe it down completely.
(again, because she blatantly ignored me while also rolling her eyes at me and threw her stuff on the belt)
She then proceeded to bitch to my boss about it and on top of it all whine that I didn’t tell her ‘have a good rest of your night:)’ like I tell everyone else and that I just handed her a roll of paper towels when she asked ‘well what am I supposed to do now that my groceries are wet?!’
I just walked off the moment I was finished and told my coworker to switch with me until she left and put up a display for him.

a player’s demise // v.h.
Tumblr media
a/n i modified this request a lil bit since i already did something like this and completely forgot about it (”can’t forget”). so i changed some stuff but the them being in the talking stage and y/n finding out that he’s got a gf is still there. a lil inspired by euphoria. hope you enjoy !!!!!!
vinnie hacker x fem!reader
Word Count: 1441, slightly edited
WARNING: angsty, vinnie’s villain era, language, and that’s all i think.
---------
Y/n groaned, roaming through the fair in search of her best friend. “Bitch, where the hell are you?” She spoke loudly into the speaker of her phone, hoping Y/bff/n would be able to hear her over the loud chatter and ringing coming from the carny games.
“I’m by the Ferris wheel.”
“Which one? There’s two.”
“The one by the carousel. There’s like a funnel cake and pretzel stand across from it.”
“Damn, you’re that far?” Y/n sighed, “I’m on my way.” She hung up the phone and made her way to the other side of the fair. After a few minutes—which felt more like an hour—Y/n finally made it to the Ferris wheel where Y/bff/n stood, munching on a salted pretzel.
Once their eyes met, they both squealed in excitement. “Hey, B!” Y/bff/n said, taking another bite of her pretzel. “Don’t you look delicious, tonight? Give the people a spin.” Y/n did as she order, allowing the girl to hype her up.
“Right back at you, babes.”
“So, whatcha’ wanna do? Hit the teacups? Get a pretzel? What’s the move?”
Y/n shook her head. “I don’t eat carbs,” she said jokingly, looking at her friend as if she was insane. “Besides, I just walked a mile to get here and that’s not even including the walk from the parking lot to the gate. Let’s just chill for a minute and relax.”
Y/bff/n nodded, and the two girls proceeded to wander around the fair aimlessly. As she continued to chew on her pretzel, she noticed a particular boy absent from Y/n’s side. With furrowed brows, she asked the million-dollar question. “Where’s Vinnie?”
“He’s sick,” Y/n said. “He told me he ate an egg sandwich from a gas station, and he’s been puking non-stop.”
“He’s sick…again?” Y/bff/n busted out laughing. “Y/n, this is the fifth time he’s canceled plans with you because he’s sick. Either he’s got a really fucked up immune system or he’s doing this shit on purpose.”
“No…Vinnie wouldn’t do that.”
“You don’t know that,” Y/bff/n replied, “you two have only been talking for a month or so. You’re still in the process of getting to know him.” Whether she liked it or not, Y/n knew her best friend was right. As much as she tried to convince herself otherwise, she barely knew anything about Vinnie. He was like a complete mystery, a case waiting to be solved. And him canceling all their plans, their dates, and hang-out sessions…just made her question if there was something more at play here.
Y/n groaned, “I guess you’re right. I mean, it is a little weird that lately every time we’re supposed to hang out he gets sick. It was understandable the first two times, but now it just feels like…he’s doing it on purpose. Like he’s trying to hide something from me?”
“Have you asked him about it or at least snooped around? I know if I was in that situation, I’d be running a whole FBI investigation. Busting through doors, hacking his phone, everything.”
“I get what you’re saying, but I don’t wanna be that girl.”
All of a sudden, Y/bff/n stopped walking. Y/n hadn’t noticed until she didn’t get a response from the girl. As she looked back, she noticed Y/bff/n squinting her eyes, looking off into the distance. “What? What is it?” Y/n asked, wondering what had her friend so shook.
“I think I’m seeing things.”
“What?”
Y/bff/n pointed straight ahead, slowly shaking her head. “That’s not who I think it is, right?” As curiosity struck Y/n, she looked to where her best friend was pointing, her eyes landing on the cotton candy stand. At first, Y/n didn’t know who the hell her friend was talking about, but as her eyes scoured around, they landed on the very person Y/n didn’t expect to see. There leaning against the counter of the stand was none other than Vinnie.
“You’re joking.” Y/n muttered, trying her damnedest to convince herself that he wasn’t real. But if Y/bff/n could see him, then that meant it wasn’t just her imagination. That was definitely Vinnie…looking ever so healthy.
“Isn’t he supposed to be sick?” Y/bff/n said, attitude riddled throughout her tone. “He don’t look sick to me.”
Y/n huffed, “That’s because he’s not.” Without hesitation, the girl stomped over to the boy with Y/bff/n in tow. The two pushed through crowds of people, ignoring the glares and profanities being thrown their way.
“Ain’t this a surprise?” Y/n sneered, Vinnie jumping at the sound of her voice. The second his eyes landed on her, he turned pale. “Looks like you made a speedy recovery, didn’t you?”
“Y/n, what are you doing here? I thought—”
“You thought what? That I wasn’t going to show up just because you couldn’t make it? Sorry to tell you this but my life doesn’t revolve around you, Vinnie. Now the real question is what the hell are you doing here?” You asked, staring daggers at the boy. “Aren’t you supposed to be sick?”
Y/bff/n chuckled, “Don’t look sick to me.”
Vinnie shot her a glare before fixing his gaze back on you. “Y/n I—”
“Hey!” At that moment, Y/n noticed a girl out of the corner of her eye making her way towards her and Vinnie. At first, Y/n thought it was just one of Vinnie’s fans hoping to score a picture, but the second she planted her lips on his cheek, she knew right then and there that this girl was something more. “I didn’t know what kind of slushie to get you, so I just got us both strawberry-banana.” She said, handing him the drink.
“Who the hell is this?” Y/n scoffed, looking the girl up and down.
“Excuse me?” She replied, giving Y/n the same look. “Is there a problem?”
“I don’t know”—Y/n turned to Vinnie—“is there?”
Vinnie sighed, “Walk away, Y/n.”
“You know her?” The girl looked to Vinnie, awaiting his answer.
Y/n smirked, “Oh, he knows me very well. Don’t you, Vinnie?”
“Y/n…walk away.”
“No, I’m not.” Y/n snapped, shoving her finger into his chest. “Not until you tell me who the fuck she is.”
“I’m his girlfriend.”
Y/n felt her jaw drop to the floor as those words left the girl’s mouth. “Girlfriend!?” She and Y/bff/n exclaimed in unison. “What the fuck do you mean girlfriend?” Y/n asked, crossing her arms. “You mean to tell me this whole time while you’ve been talking to me, you’ve had a girlfriend? Is that why you’ve been sick? You were with her the entire time?”
“What is she talking about, Vinnie?”
He looked between Y/n and the girl before his eyes landed on the latter. “Kate, it’s nothing. She’s lying. It’s just a fan trying to break us up.”
“I’m just a fan now?” Y/n snickered, appalled at the boy. “So I was just a fan when you hit me up in my DMs? I was just a fan when you sent me all those dick pics? Huh, was I just a fan then?”
“He did what now?” Kate turned to Vinnie, looking at him as if he’d lost his entire mind. “Dude, are you fucking kidding me? Is that what we’re doing now? We’re just throwing away a year-long relationship?”
Y/bff/n gasped from behind you. “A year?”
“Baby, I swear it didn’t mean anything.” Vinnie whined, grasping at Kate’s waist to pull her into him. Though, she wasn’t having it as she ripped herself from his grip.
“Don’t you fucking touch me!” She shouted. “We’re over! I want nothing to do with you, Vinnie! Absolutely nothing!”
“Kate!” Vinnie reached for her but the second he even stepped a foot near her, she threw her slushie at him, covering his face in the pale pink liquid. It was like an artist splattering paint onto a white canvas. Y/n and Y/bff/n couldn’t help but laugh at the boy.
“Don’t call me, don’t text me, don’t come by my apartment, don’t even think of me. You’re dead to me.” Kate threatened before she marched off, avoiding the confused glances from all the bystanders who witnessed the scene.
As Vinnie wiped the remnants of strawberries out of his eye, he looked at the giggling best friends. “Yeah, yeah…laugh it up. You satisfied with what you did?”
Y/n shrugged before reaching for the boy’s slushie. Removing the lid, she raised it over his head and lathered him in more of the ooey-gooey substance. “Now, I’m satisfied.” She smiled, tossing the cup to the side. “Asshole.” With that, Y/n and Y/bff/n high-fived each other before making their exit, leaving Vinnie to lie in the mess he made.

heyy! can you do an angsty one where rafe and the reader are “friends,” for a long time, they’ve been in the same friend group and she’s been with love with him for a while now, and he knows and uses that for his advantage. she always does stuff for him, help him whenever he needed and more, and he treats her pretty badly/rudely in return. their friends (top n kelce,) always try to tell him to stop and more and finally she’s had enough she confronts him and show how much he was actually draining her, and he acts like he doesn’t care but he does realize what he was doing, but meanwhile he’s reflecting on his actions, y/n is getting closer to jj? thanks lol the end is up to you. love u and ur fics <3
a/n: hi love! im so sorry it took me so long to write this. I hope you love it!! it took me forever to finish hahaha but i loved writing it!
Warnings: swearing, underage drinking
my writing
pretty damn lucky - rafe cameron
You sigh as you pull Rafe's fresh sheets from the dryer, breathing in the scent of the detergent mixed with the scent of him. He and the boys had way too much to drink last night, which resulted in Rafe getting sick all over his bed when they got home. You had stripped his sheets immediately and put them in the wash, then made a makeshift bed for Rafe on the floor with all of his blankets.
He had grunted at you in return for all your work, collapsing down on the floor and passing out before you could even say goodnight to him.
You had washed the sheets once again this morning when you woke up, then stuck them in the dryer and waited on them.
Topper groans on the couch as you pass him on your way to Rafe's room. You stop and chuckle, watching as he hesitantly opens his eyes.
"Oh, fuck," Topper grumbles as he sits up, clutching his head.
"I think you guys brought the bar home with you."
He glances up, eyes meeting yours, and groans. You laugh and step over to him, taking a seat on the couch beside him.
"Can I get you anything?" you ask him.
"Yeah, a time machine. Don't let me drink so much," he whines, collapsing back down on the couch. You stand, letting out a laugh.
"Water and aspirin. Got it."
You walk up the stairs and stop in front of Rafe's bedroom door, knocking on it lightly before you peak your head in. He's still laying on the floor, but you can't tell if he's awake or not. You stop inside, warm sheets in hand, and close the door behind you. He grunts at the noise, but it's not enough to make him open his eyes.
"Hey," you say to him, "I washed your sheets. How are you feeling?"
Rafe moves on the floor, opening his eyes only enough to see you, then rolls back to his initial spot and closes his eyes again.
"Just put the sheets back on, I want my bed."
You sigh and nod your head, stepping over to his bed to start making it. You watch him as you work, laying on the floor, mouth parted slightly and eyebrows furrowed as he tries to focus on not throwing up again.
"Okay," you whisper once his bed is made, "Come on. I'll help you."
Rafe allows you to wrap your arms around his torso, helping him stand from off the floor. He leans all his weight on you as you two stumble over to his bed, then he collapses onto it. You cover him with his comforter and then fix his hair so it's not sitting in his eyes anymore. He doesn't say anything at your movements.
"I'll get you some water and some medicine. Be back in a minute," you whisper to him. He just nods as best he can.
You hurry back down the stairs, rushing past Topper and into the kitchen. You grab two water bottles out of the fridge and then rifle through the cabinets until you find a bottle of aspirin. As you walk from the kitchen to Topper on the couch, you stop in your tracks.
"Topper," you say, your voice authoritative, "Where is Kelce?"
Topper laughs, which is how you know it's bad. You hadn't noticed that they were one friend light when they stumbled in last night, mostly because you had been too worried about Rafe to be concerned with where Topper and Kelce crashed.
"He fell down outside last night. I'm pretty sure we just left him there."
You sigh loudly, handing him a bottle of water and aspirin as you swear and rush to the front door. As you approach, you can already see him, face up in the Cameron's new flower bed that Rose had worked so hard to make perfect. You open the door and rush to Kelce, annoyed with the boys for not even telling you he was out here.
"Kelce?" you question, stirring him awake, "You alive in there?"
Kelce sits up, as if you'd awakened him from a dream, and glances around. He looks at you and then down to the clothes he's in, and you watch as his eyes widen.
"Those motherfuckers did not leave me out here," he gasps.
"Kelce, I'm so sorry. I had no idea you were out here-"
"I'm going to kill them - ow."
He tries to stand up, but the throbbing of his head makes him fall back down into the dirt again. You grab onto his arm and try to help him up, noting how you do most of the work. When he's finally upright, you brush off the dirt from his back and then lead him inside.
"Shit," he mutters, "My stomach. I'm gonna need to eat."
"I'm on it," you tell him, leading him into the living room and placing him on the couch next to Topper.
"Hey, man," Topper greets, "Rose sure will be happy you observed the flowers so...closely."
"Shut the fuck up, Top," Kelce snaps, reaching over and punching Topper in the chest. He groans at his head and sits back again, making you laugh.
"All right," you declare, picking up the aspirin and water bottle for Rafe, "Eggs? Toast? Bacon? Sound good?"
Kelce nods his head and Topper looks at you, already looking better with the water and medicine in his system.
"Hey, thank you, Y/N. For always taking care of us," Topper smiles at you.
"Yeah," Kelce agrees, "I'd still be lying in a bush outside if it weren't for you. Thank you."
You smile at them and shake your head, "Of course, boys. Back in a minute. Kelce, don't kill Top. Please."
Kelce grunts, telling you he's still debating if he will or not. You laugh and then rush back up the stairs, hoping Rafe is still alive up there. You knock softly on his door when you reach it, not wanting to just bust in on him.
"Rafe?" you say when you walk in, seeing him laying in the exact same position he had been when you left him.
"What took you so long?" he grumbles.
"I'm sorry," you say, sitting down beside him on his bed, "You guys left Kelce outside and-"
"Do you have the aspirin or what?"
You sigh and nod, handing him the pill bottle and a bottle of water. He sits up, hair messy and eyes only half open, and pours three pills into his hand. You stare at him, observing his sharp jaw line and his soft skin, and you can't help but wonder what it would be like to be able to feel him. Touch him. Love on him the way you've been dreaming about since the day you met him.
"Do you want me to make you something to eat?"
Rafe swallows the pills, then brings his eyes up to meet yours, "That breakfast place I love. Why don't you go pick us all up something? Card's in my wallet."
He lays back down, which is his way of excusing you from the room. You just nod your head and grab his card out of his wallet.
"And move the seat back in my truck when you get back. I always hit my head when I get in after you."
"All right," you say quietly, wishing he'd at least say a 'please' or 'thank you'.
You take orders from Topper and Kelce, then hurry out to Rafe's truck. You have to move the seat way up in order to drive the truck, and you make a mental note to move it back when you get back to the house.
You pull up to the restaurant and climb out of the truck, fumbling with the keys and your purse and Rafe's card, too wrapped up in yourself to notice the blonde boy standing about five feet from you.
"Damn, I didn't expect someone as pretty as you to hop out of that truck," JJ smirks at you, watching your eyes shoot up to him.
You smile, "Hi, JJ."
"How are you?" he asks, cheeky look on his face.
You set your hands on your hips, keys and card tucked between your fingers, as you observe what you're wearing for the first time. You'd snuck one of Rafe's Kildare Island shirts from his dresser last night and had on jean shorts underneath.
"Y'know," you shrug, "You like this place, too?"
"Ah, little pretentious, but the food's acceptable," he teases, "You eating alone?"
"No. Just picking up food for Rafe and his friends."
"What, are you his assistant or something? Tell Cameron to pick up his own food," JJ huffs.
He'd never tell you, not wanting to upset you, but he's hated watching you run around the island as Rafe's bitch since you met him. JJ's been dying to hang out with you, even asked you a few times, but you always say no because you're on some sort of mission for Rafe.
"It's just a breakfast order," you reply, starting to inch toward the restaurant.
"Just a breakfast order," he shrugs, "Just getting him a beer every time he asks, just following him around like a lost puppy, just-"
"Okay," you stop him, "I'm a big girl, JJ. I can take care of myself."
You turn and start to walk away from him, trying to brush off his 'lost puppy' remark. He groans loudly, which is enough to earn your attention back.
"Prove it," he yells out, making you turn, "Tonight. There's a thing down at the beach. Meet me."
You start to shake your head, but he steps toward you and stops you. He runs a hand through his blonde hair, messing it up even more than it already is.
"JJ-"
"Come on, Y/N. Take the Kook chains off for one night. Please. Rafe can do his own dishes and get his own drinks."
You sigh, glancing down at your feet before back up to him, "Maybe."
"Ah- you know what? That's better than a no. I'll take it."
You nod at him, trying your best not to smile too wide, then point to the building. You start to back off, but you keep your eyes fixed on the blonde boy.
"What time? You know, if I decide to come."
JJ smiles wider than he had the entire conversation, "Seven."
You smile back at him, then turn and walk away before you can get even more wrapped up in this boy.
"What the hell took you so long?" Rafe questions as you walk through the door with several bags filled with food.
"Sorry," you sigh at him, "Got caught up."
Kelce and Topper stand up and step to you, taking the bags from you. You thank them quietly, watching as Rafe rolls his eyes and stands from his place on the couch.
"Yeah, never mind the fact that I'm starving to death," he mutters.
"Rafe, come on, man," Topper smacks Rafe on the chest, trying to get him to chill out.
"Yeah, quit being a dick," Kelce tells him.
Topper starts to unload the food from the bags while Kelce leans down and gives you a friendly kiss on the cheek. You smile gently, glancing up to see Rafe watching with his jaw clenched. You try to put distance in between you, but Rafe doesn't seem to care about your efforts.
"Thanks for running to get it, Y/N," Topper smiles to you.
"You're welcome."
"Did you put my seat back, at least?" Rafe asks you, swiping his car keys from the counter where you set them.
"Yes, of course," you reply.
"Of course," he mutters, "You never do."
"Rafe," Kelce says authoritatively, holding his hands out to his sides as if to ask what the hell he's doing.
"I'll fix you a plate," you tell Rafe, setting a hand on Kelce's arm as if to thank him.
Rafe exhales loudly, then steps away and back into the living room. Kelce rolls his eyes at Rafe, giving you a pat on the shoulder. You make Rafe a plate, a little bit of everything, then follow Topper into the living room to take it to him.
"Quit being an asshole to her, man," Topper mumbles to Rafe, slapping him on the back of his head.
"Don't fucking hit me," Rafe growls at Topper.
"Here you go," you hand Rafe a plate. He takes it from you without a word or a glance, inspecting the food you've given him.
"Where's your plate, love?" Topper asks you as Kelce sits down beside him, "I'll make you one. Sit down."
"No," you say quickly, earning the attention of all three boys, "I'm not staying. I gotta get home, I kinda have plans later,"
"What plans?" Rafe asks, judgment present in his voice.
The boys watch the look on your face and Topper and Kelce immediately erupt into fits of laughs and hollers.
"Boy plans, huh?" Kelce smiles at you before he shoves bacon into his mouth.
Your face flushes as you stand in front of them, glancing at Rafe to see his reaction. His jaw is clenched tightly and he's stopping eating all together.
"Who's the lucky guy, Y/N?" Topper snickers.
"It's not a big deal, you guys."
"Why am I jealous right now?" Kelce teases you. You look over at him and roll your eyes, hiding your smile from him.
"What plans?" Rafe repeats himself, raising his voice. Your eyes shoot over to him, watching his expression.
"Um, I'm going down to this thing at the beach," you say, looking down at the floor. Rafe sets his plate down on the coffee table in front of him, not wanting his food anymore.
"Are we invited?" Rafe asks, already knowing the answer. He just wants to make you say it.
"I- it's not my thing," you stutter, "I'm just meeting some people."
"Who?" Topper asks through his food.
"Uh, JJ Maybank and his friends-"
Rafe scoffs, interrupting you, "You're ditching us to hang out with Pogues?"
"I'm not ditching you, Rafe," you frown.
"Funny, that's the way it looks."
"It's just a few drinks on the beach, why are you getting so bent out of shape?" you question, watching as Topper and Kelce squirm, growing more uncomfortable.
"Bent out of shape? " he repeats, voice as if he doesn't believe you just said that, "You're the one driving across the island for shitty ass beer-"
"It's not like I was asking your opinion on my plans-"
"No, no, you were just informing us that you have plans to fuck JJ Maybank, understood."
"Rafe-" you start, but stop when Kelce sits up straight in his chair and speaks.
"What the fuck, Rafe?" Kelce stares at his best friend, "Why are you so mean to Y/N all the time? She doesn't have to hang out with us every day, and honestly, I wouldn't if you treated me the way you treat her."
"Oh, fuck off, Kelce, you don't know shit," Rafe waves him off.
Topper glances at you, then over to Rafe and speaks up as well, "He's right, Rafe. You're an asshole to her. And not just today, but a lot lately."
Rafe sits back on the couch and crosses his arms in front of his chest, rolling his eyes.
"You two don't know anything," he huffs, "Y/N and I are fine."
"Actually," you say, earning Rafe's complete attention, "I don't think we are."
He stands up now, stepping over to you and grabbing onto your wrist, "Let's discuss this in private."
You glance at the boys, trying to offer them a silent 'thank you for trying', then allow Rafe to pull you into the guest room down the hall. He slams the door once you two are inside, then runs his hand through his hair before he speaks.
"What the fuck are you doing, embarrassing me in front of the two of them?" he scoffs.
Your mouth falls open at how that is his main concern after you just told him you have doubts that the two of you are okay. Your heart sinks, watching as he paces the room. You watch the way his jaw is clenched and how his eyes are frantic as he tries to figure out how to fix things with the boys.
"I'm sorry," you say quietly.
Rafe seems to not hear you, "Jesus, now the two of them are gonna be up my ass about you for the rest of the day."
"Rafe-"
"And what the hell is up with you partying with JJ Maybank? Do you not realize how that could look, you hanging out with him?"
"Oh, my God!" you yell, not being able to take any more of his bullshit, "I don't give a shit, Rafe! I mean, seriously. I spent my entire night last night and my entire morning taking care of your ass. Because I care about you. And now, I say I want to do something for myself, and you act like I'm being selfish? Are you kidding me?"
"Oh, please," Rafe shakes his head, "You're always taking care of us, don't act like you're all noble."
"I'm not trying to be noble. I'm trying to tell you how I feel-"
"Well, I didn't fucking ask, all right?" he yells.
You frown and step back from him as if his words struck you across the face. He reaches up and pinches the bridge of his nose, trying his best to control his frustration.
"Rafe," you choke out, feeling your emotions as they rise up, "I care about you so much. But, I can't keep walking on eggshells around you. I have done everything you've asked me to do, I've been a good friend to you and I-"
"You what?" he growls at you, stepping forward and grabbing your shoulders.
"I love you, you asshole," you whisper, watching the way his eyes soften at your words, "I love you. But I'm drained. I'm exhausted. And I'm sick of being treated like some bitch who just follows you around and hopes you'll throw her a bone."
Rafe stares at you for a moment, and for the first time in a long time, you genuinely cannot tell what he's thinking. After a few seconds, he releases your shoulders and lightly shoves you away from him.
"You should leave," he says, staring at the floor.
"Really?"
"Yeah, you gotta get ready for your big date night, right?"
You laugh sarcastically at his comment, feeling stupid to have expected him to say anything different than that. He sets his hands on his hips and sighs, not bothering to look up at you. You lick your lips and take a deep breath, debating whether or not to stay and fight with him. For him.
"Fuck you, Rafe," you say.
His shoulders fall but he doesn't look up, so you turn and walk out of the room. Topper and Kelce are standing right outside the door, shocked when you suddenly emerge. You roll your eyes at them, not surprised they had been listening. They don't bother trying to stop you, because honestly, they'd leave Rafe, too.
You rush out of the house and slam the door behind you. Topper usually drives you home, but you don't bother to go back inside and ask. You can walk, it's not far.
As much as you love Rafe, as much as you'd kill to be with him, you can't condone the way he's been treating you. You know that you deserve better, just as Topper and Kelce have been reminding him. Better is exactly what you plan to have.
The beach isn't terribly busy when you arrive. You know by the time the sun sets completely, it will be packed. You spot JJ's blonde hair towering above almost everyone on the beach, watching as he laughs with his friends and tips a red cup against his lips. You walk over to him before allowing yourself to hesitate and think about leaving again.
Your fight with Rafe had completely drained your energy, and if you didn't feel like getting completely drunk to forget about it, you'd leave. JJ spies you as you approach and grins widely, starting over to you.
"No fucking way," he smiles, "Can't believe you showed, Mrs. Cameron!"
"Ha ha," you grumble, shaking your head and trying to hide a smile.
"How'd you escape from the prison that is Kook land?"
You roll your eyes, reaching up and taking the cup from his hand. You gulp it down before he can even object, and when you look up at him again, he's staring at you with his mouth wide open.
"Okay. Got it. Drinking, no talking," he reaches down and takes your hand, leading you over to the keg.
"Lots of drinking," you mutter, watching as JJ pretends he didn't hear you.
JJ grabs two beers from the guy handing them out and hands one to you, returning his hand to yours. You start to walk back over to JJ's friends, but he pulls on your hand to keep you where he wants you.
"What are you doing? Don't you want to hang out with your friends?" you ask him.
He shakes his head, "No, I'd rather figure out what's going on with you."
You sigh and take another long sip of your beer, avoiding his eyes on purpose. Although you and JJ hadn't hung out a lot, he still seems to be able to tell that you're bothered.
"It's not a big deal," you say.
"If it's bothering you, it is," JJ insists. His eyes are wide as he looks at you, and you can't help but notice how he hasn't taken one sip of his beer.
"JJ-"
"It's Rafe, I can tell. Did he hurt you?"
"No," you furrow your eyebrows, unsure of why he would even ask that. JJ just nods his head, tightening his grip around your hand.
"All right, then what?"
You give him a small smile, grateful that he's pushing so hard to try and figure out what's bothering you. You've never really had anyone do that before.
"We just got into an argument. But, it's fine-"
"Y/N-"
"I came here to have fun with you. Please don't make me spend the whole night talking about Rafe."
His eyes soften as he stares down at you. You watch as he takes a deep breath, then licks his lips and nods his head. You give him a small smile, watching as he shamelessly return it.
"You're right," he speaks after a minute, "Who needs that asshole, anyway?"
You nod, although you're hesitant to talk shit about Rafe like that, even after everything. JJ squeezes your hand once again, then tugs you toward his friends.
"Come on, let's party."
JJ pumps you full of beers, at your request, and laughs every time you attempt to get him to dance with you. His friends all watch as JJ finally gives into you, standing up as you tug on his hand and allowing you to lead him upright.
You can feel the alcohol rushing through your body as JJ spins you around in the sand, laughing at how much you're loving it. His friends cheer the two of you on, and by the time the song ends, you're completely exhausted. You collapse into JJ's chest and he wraps a strong arm around you, holding you up.
"I didn't realize I'd had so much," you tell him, slurring your words a bit against his chest.
"That's all right," he laughs lightly, "I'll take care of you."
JJ leads you back over to the log the two of you had been sitting on and helps you sit down, smiling when you lean your head down on his shoulder.
"You're nice to me," you tell him.
JJ laughs at your drunken state, pressing his cup to his lips once more. Say what you will about JJ Maybank, but never call him a lightweight.
"You deserve to be treated nicely," he fires back.
"You really believe that?" you ask him, not noticing your eyes fluttering closed against him.
"Of course, Y/N," he whispers, moving his face so his lips graze against the top of your head, "You know, there's a lot more out there than just Rafe Cameron."
"You don't know him like I do," you say quietly.
"You're right," he scoffs, "Nobody else would defend him."
"I'm serious, JJ. He's sweet and caring and protective-"
"And rude, and unkind-"
"JJ," you sigh, "I mean it. Underneath all the bullshit, he's a really great guy."
JJ's silent for a second, then you feel his body tense slightly under you. His friends are all in their own little world, to notice, but JJ isn't.
"Well, that really great guy just showed up to the party."
Your eyes shoot open and your head comes off of JJ's chest as you glance around, trying to steady your vision as you look around to see what he's talking about. When your eyes meet Rafe's, he looks upset. He's watching you and JJ like the thought of you two together actually, physically breaks his heart in half.
Topper and Kelce stand behind him, pushing Rafe forward to you. You stand up, with the help of JJ's hand steadying you, which you immediately let go of when you stand up straight. You tears your eyes away from Rafe long enough to glance back at JJ, asking him silently if it's okay if you go to him.
"Go on," he gives you a sad smile, "Tonight was fun. But, you know, I'm not the type of guy to chase after some other guy's girl."
"JJ-"
"Go, Y/N. You love him. I can tell."
You start to object, but close your mouth when you realize you have no defense. He's right, you know he is. You give JJ a little smile, then turn back to Rafe. The asshole, your asshole, who looks ready to put your heart back together again.
He starts to you and you to him, but he covers way more ground than you given that he's stone cold sober. He can tell you're having trouble standing, so he reaches out and offers his arm as soon as he's within range.
"Hey," he says quietly.
You wrap your cold hands around his arm, steadying yourself and absorbing his warmth. You take a deep breath, inhaling his familiar, heart wrenching scent and letting it fill your lungs.
"What are you doing here?" you question him.
"I- uh, I need to talk to you."
"Why? So you can yell at me and then tell me to leave again?" you spit before you can even think about it.
Rafe clenches his jaw and moves his eyes from yours, glancing around the beach as he considers what the best thing to say is in response.
"I'm sorry," you mumble.
"It's fine," he shakes his head, speaking too fast to actually mean it, "I deserve it. I was an asshole. I came here to apologize."
You nod your head, doing your best to keep your eyes on his and not trailing all down his body. He's wearing the snapback you love on him, and he has on the shirt the two of you bought together at the mall on a trip.
"You may," you tease him, giving him a small smile and hoping to get one in return. You get it, thankfully.
"I'm really sorry, Y/N. I didn't mean to ever make you feel second rate. You have been so good to me and I know I don't deserve it-"
"It's okay," you stop him, reaching one hand up to stroke his cheek. His skin, his soft skin under yours feels like heaven to touch. You know the alcohol is the only reason you're not putting up a larger fight.
"I wasn't finished," he smiles widely.
"Well, what can I say? I'm a sucker for that hat," you tease.
His grin only widens as he stares down at you, pulling you into a hug before he can even think of it. His arms wrapped tightly around you make your heart rate speed up to a dangerous level.
"You promise we're okay? Maybe we should talk again when you're sobered up-"
"I'm fine," you lie.
Rafe reaches up and cups your face in his hands, staring down at you intently. You stare back, unable to break away from his gorgeous blue eyes.
"Good, because I've got something to tell you."
Rafe watches as your lips part, wanting to question him but unable to find the right words. He smiles, tucking a strand of hair behind your ear before he continues.
"I love you, too," he whispers.
You blink rapidly at him, trying to figure out if he really just said those words to you. You shake your head and squirm out of his grasp, taking a deep breath as you look at him.
"You mean that?" you ask him.
"Yeah," he nods, swallowing nervously, "It took me half the day to realize it, but the thought of you down here with JJ literally made me want to kill him. And I'm sorry that I haven't realized it sooner. I was just scared of my feelings, I guess, and I just thought if I pushed you away-"
"You don't have to explain," you stop him, "I just can't believe you feel the same way about me."
"Who wouldn't? Topper informed me today that I happen to be the luckiest guy to walk the face of the earth because I'm loved by you. And I guess, I don't know, it made me recognize my feelings."
You smile, wrapping your arms around him and hugging him. He hugs you back without thinking twice, pulling you close and breathing you in. After a second, you pull away, and feel him tilt your chin up to meet his eyes.
"I don't know, I'm feeling pretty damn lucky right now," you whisper.
Before either of you know it, he places his lips gently on yours. His hands move themselves to your cheeks once again, pulling you closer to him. You both can hear Topper and Kelce hooting and hollering from yards away, which makes you laugh against Rafe's lips.
"I regret bringing them," he says against your lips, laughing along with you.
"You should," you agree, standing on your tip-toes and kissing him one more time.
"Can I take you home, now? Please?" he asks, voice impatient.
You bite your lip and nod, allowing him to give you one last kiss before he brings a hand down to yours, wrapping his fingers through it. He turns you toward the boys, the oh-so happy boys, and leads you away.
Away from the beer. Away from JJ. Toward your future, together.

Title: ABO HC How (A) Todoroki, (A) Bakugo, and (A) Hawks would react to finding the (O) Reader held hostage:
Summary: Your Alpha walks in on you being tied to a chair and he is not happy.
Prologue:
You had been a well-kept secret from the public. No one knew that your famous Pro Hero Alpha was courting an Omega or even in a long-standing relationship. Your Alpha was too paranoid about your safety to let any of the news outlets find out about your existence.
You supposed it would have been beneficial for the public to know now that you were in this situation. Surely if the villains knew they would come across an Omega, resting in their nest, they wouldn't have tried to rob the Pro Hero’s house.
You put up quite the fight once you smelled unfamiliar Alphas near your nest. One hard knock to your head had you subdued. You didn’t dwell over your quick loss considering one Alpha was nursing his swollen balls.
You got in one good kick before the painful hit fell on your head.
Now here you sat, tied to a chair, while the robbers argued with each other and what they should do now.
Shoto:
Tumblr media
🧊🔥-“I told you we should have checked the place out before we robbed it! I would have never tried to rob the place if I had known a freaking Omega was here!” The brunette Alpha growled, glaring at his blond friend.
🧊🔥-“What’s the big deal? So what if the little icy-hot freak has a girlfriend? We will be out of here before he even comes home.” The blond scoffs, shoving expensive silverware and china into his black bag.
🧊🔥-“You should know how Alpha’s get around their Omegas! He is gonna hunt us down! I don’t want a Pro Hero on my ass.” The brunette seethed, glaring at the goose egg on your head. “Especially since you decided to hit the poor thing! We will be lucky if he doesn’t skin us alive!”
🧊🔥-“The bitch hit me in the balls! Of course, I thumped her one on the head, serves the Omega slut right!” The blonde huffed, sick of hearing his partner complain instead of ransacking the place.
🧊🔥-“Mmh.” You mumbled, your eyes blinking open to a fuzzy view.
🧊🔥-“Fucking shit! They’re waking up! I’m not dealing with a weepy Omega.” The brunette cursed, going into Shoto’s office to avoid the whole situation altogether.
🧊🔥-“Well, if it isn’t Miss nut-cracker.” The blond chuckled darkly, walking over to your tied up frame.
🧊🔥-You didn’t back down and just glared at the dumb fool.
🧊🔥-“Aren’t too smart, are you? What type of shitty criminal robs a Pro Hero? Dumb ones, that’s what.” You spit, narrowing your blurry eyes at him.
🧊🔥-No doubt you would need to go to the doctor after this whole ordeal. Not like you would have a choice. You were sure even if they didn’t lay a hand on you that Shoto would have insisted on one.
🧊🔥-“You dumb little bitch!” The blond lifted his ring covered hand to hit you again. You tried not to flinch as it came down to strike you.
🧊🔥-The brunette stood in the office doorway, his bag filled with expensive clocks and other expensive desk items.
🧊🔥-“I got everything in the office. Did you...” The brunette didn’t get to finish his sentence.
🧊🔥-The front door was busted open. Shoto had smelled two Alphas on the other side of the door and he was not pleased. He was even less pleased when the door slammed open to reveal his battered Omega tied to a chair.
🧊🔥-His mismatched eyes turned dark. The temperature in the room both dropped and elevated at the same time. His tired body was instantly filled with murderous intent.
🧊🔥-A loud growl shook the room.
🧊🔥-How DARE they lay a hand on their Omega! His vision tinted red and his fangs dropped.
🧊🔥-“This will only take a minute, Y/N. I’ll take out this trash.” He calmly said, his tone was so cold you felt yourself shiver even knowing his silent rage wasn’t directed at you.
🧊🔥-“Yes, Alpha.” You responded, making sure voice quivered a little. You may have been glaring right back at the intruders before he came but you wanted them to suffer so you played the scared Omega role.
🧊🔥-They lost your sympathy as soon as they pulled you from your nest.
🧊🔥-The robbers, who were frozen in fear by the intimidating Alpha’s entrance, shuffled into action.
🧊🔥-The brunette was quick to give his partner up. “He hit her, not me!” He said, before running down the hall, looking for a way to escape.
🧊🔥-“You fucking asshole!” The blonde shouted, trying to run out of the room as well.
🧊🔥-He didn’t get far, ice trapped his feet and his lower body soon followed. Shoto made sure to form it in a way that sharp icicles tore at his skin if he so much as moved half an inch.
🧊🔥-He wanted to shoot an icicle into his leg for good measure but he didn’t feel like cleaning up blood off his floor. He wished to burn the skin off his bone but you had forbidden him from using fire in the house.
🧊🔥-He had accidentally caught one of your favorite blankets on fire and was banned for life.
🧊🔥-“We didn’t know she was here! If we had known we wouldn’t have come!” The blond groveled, panicked at the feral look in Shoto’s eyes.
🧊🔥-“You could have left after you saw my Omega was here, but you stayed and decided to hit her too. You should be lucky I didn’t just kill you on the spot.” He growled, cutting the blond’s cheek just a bit with an ice shard.
🧊🔥-The blond just whimpered and passed out. Shoto was quick to hunt down the other and give him the same treatment. He had made it out of the house so he was pleased to release his burning anger out on him.
🧊🔥-Once they were out of the way, Shoto ran to your side and burning away the binds holding you down.
🧊🔥-“Are you okay, my Dove?” His voice was soft, his cold hand going up to your head and trying to soothe the aching bump.
🧊🔥-“Yes, I’m just a little dizzy. Everything’s a little fuzzy right now.” You leaned into his gentle touch.
🧊🔥-“I’ll call someone to deal with those two. Let’s get you to the hospital, my Dove.” He hurriedly lifted you and carried you to his car. He treated you like glass when he sat you down in the passenger seat.
🧊🔥-You leaned your head against the cold window as he dashed around to the driver’s side. Your head hurt too much to look out the window so you kept your eyes closed.
🧊🔥-Your Alpha made sure you didn’t accidentally slip asleep.
🧊🔥-You let out a small whine when a thought crossed your mind.
🧊🔥-“Alpha my nest is gonna smell like them.” You sniffed, opening your teary eyes to look at him.
🧊🔥-Shoto’s hands went white on the wheel, his face contorted into a snarl. He couldn’t wait to visit them again at the station. He had friends there that wouldn’t hesitate to turn a blind eye.
🧊🔥-His anger instantly simmered when his eyes met your glassy ones.
🧊🔥-“Don’t worry, Little Dove. I’ll buy you more. We can even go shopping at that blanket store you like so much.” He assured, taking one hand off the wheel and clasping it in yours.
🧊🔥-Your eyes lit up. “Really! It’s kinda expensive though, I don’t need new ones. I am sure we can find some nice second-hand ones.” You squeezed his hand, bring it up to your lips to place a kiss on it.
🧊🔥-Your exhausted brain choosing to ignore the specks of blood on his hand.
🧊🔥-“My Dove, what have I said about me spending money on you?” He gently reprimanded, his eyes still soft.
🧊🔥-“Accept it and say thank you.” You repeated without delay.
🧊🔥-“Exactly, I won’t hear any more about it.” He ended the discussion, his eyes focusing back on the road while his hand remained in your grasp.
🧊🔥-If your head wasn’t killing you, you would have been bouncing in your seat. “I can’t wait! They are coming out with some pretty fall blankets soon! Oooh! We have to get some cute Halloween ones too!”
🧊🔥-“Anything you want.”

💥-“Why did you have to hit them!? Ground Zero is gonna come after us now!” The brunette cried, desperately holding ice to your head in hopes that the bump on it would go away.
💥-“Shut up! Get back to robbing the damn place instead of taking care of the freaking Omega.” The blond hissed, throwing a plate at the panicked Alpha.
💥-You sat back in the chair not knowing how to process the situation. You knew dating a Pro Hero was dangerous but you thought villains would be your main concern, not petty burglars.
💥-“If you leave now and don’t take anything, I’ll tell him I tripped and fell.” You wouldn’t, but they didn’t know that.
💥-“See! Let’s just leave. We can go rob some other place.” The brunette pleaded, already trying to untie you.
💥-The Omega in you wanted to feel bad for the whining Alpha but then you remembered he messed up your nest when he dragged you out of it. You Omega was fuming.
💥-I just got the nest just right! She huffed, pacing around in your head.
💥-She didn’t seem threatened by the Alphas in the room. She knew her Alpha was coming home any minute and he would take care of them.
💥-You, on the other hand, was slightly panicking now that the situation sunk in. Katsuki was gonna rip them to shreds. You Omega was already smugly licking her paws at the image, while you shuddered at the thought.
💥-“You should go. I don’t want to be mopping up your blood all night.” You urged, looking anxiously at the door.
💥-“See! We need to go!” The brunette cried, trying to tug his friend towards the door.
💥-“Shut up! We can leave once we get everything valuable.” The blonde growled, shoving off his partner.
💥-The jiggle of keys at the door made everyone in the room stop and hold their breath. The doorknob turned and the door was pushed open. You looked at the chair you were tied to, the robbers, and back at the door.
💥-There was no way to play off the situational. I don’t want to be mopping up blood. You whined, praying your Alpha wasn’t going to go too berserk.
💥-“Hey, Spit-fire! I got us, your favorite curry you were wanting. I made sure to get it extra spicy.” He walked in carrying a bag of takeout.
💥-He paused in the doorway once he got a whiff of unfamiliar Alphas in the house. His ruby eyes viewed the scene before him. He growled at the sight of the two Alphas.
💥-From your point of view, his eyes didn’t look red anymore with how big his pupils dilated at the presence of Alphas near his Omega. His hand instantly dropped the food to the floor.
💥-The sound of the bag hitting the floor heightened the tension.
💥-His fangs instantly dropped when his nose picked up a faint coppery smell, his eyes zeroed in on the small trail of blood on your head. The growl that ripped through his chest shook the room.
💥-“Alpha, please, no blood in the house.” You pleaded, shifting against the ties holding you in place.
💥-“No promises, Omega.” His voice was so dark that you didn’t even recognize it.
💥-“The brunette didn’t hit me. He even tried to ice it. Go easy on him.” You said, knowing his control was waning.
💥-The veins on his neck looked ready to pop, his arms straining to hold themselves still and not plummet the Alphas standing before him. He eyed the patio door that was pushed open, most likely where they entered in from.
💥-That would solve the blood problem.
💥-He grinned viciously, “How about we take this outside?”
💥-He rushed the two Alphas, grabbing them by the backs of their necks and throwing them out of the house and over the balcony. He laughed darkly as he followed them, jumping from the balcony.
💥-You wiggled free from your restraints and made your way to the front door, you picked up the takeout bag and brought it to the kitchen.
💥-“Suki will be hungry after beating those two up.” You hummed, making him a plate and then making yourself one.
***
💥-“Is the water too hot?” His voice was raspy from all the yelling he did earlier.
💥-You sat with your back leaning against his chest in the bathtub. The warm water and the heat of your Alpha calmed your stressed body. Being tied to a chair was as comfortable as it looked.
💥-“It’s fine, Alpha.” You hummed, delicately washing his bruised and bloody hands.
💥-“I’m sorry, I wasn’t here sooner Omega.” You smelled a hint of sadness in his scent.
💥-“Don’t worry, Alpha. I knew you were coming. I wasn’t scared one bit.” You reassured, bringing his hand up and planting delicate kisses on it.
💥-“My strong Omega,” he purred, nuzzling his nose into your hair. He flinched when he picked up the faint smell of another Alpha. He snapped up the bottle of shampoo and poured half the bottle on your head.
💥-“Got to get this disgusting scent off you, Omega.” He growled, gently scrubbing your scalp.
💥-“Alpha! That shampoo is fifty bucks!” You gasped, picking up the half-empty bottle.
💥-“I’ll buy you another one.” He assured, rinsing of the soapy suds and giving your head another sniff.
💥-“Much better.” He hummed, pulling you tighter against his chest.

🍗-“You shouldn’t be here.” You whimpered, trying to curl in on yourself, the ties preventing you from doing so.
🍗-“Why the fuck did you have to hit them? You know I can’t handle weeping Omegas, my Alpha hates it.” The brunette growled, trying to awkwardly pat your arm.
🍗-You winced away from his touch, another Alphas touch was too repulsive. You felt your skin crawl as his fingers grazed your arm. The thump on your head making you more nauseous than you already were.
🍗-“So what if your Alpha is a pussy. Unlike you mine enjoys their cries.” The blond smiled at the tears dripping down your face. “The bitch deserved it anyways.”
🍗-“Whatever.” The brunette scoffed, rolling his eyes and going back to robbing the place.
🍗-“You guy’s really shouldn’t be here...” You tried to warm them but you were too late. The door creaked open, your heart warming and racing at the sound. You knew it would be a bloodbath once Kei realized what was going on.
🍗-“Baby bird! I hope you are already in comfortable clothes, I’m ready to cuddle in our nest.” His soothing voice causing you to relax in the chair.
🍗-“Alpha.” You cried, your head still throbbing.
🍗-The silence was enough to tell you he spotted the two Alphas in the room.
🍗-“Omega.” He growled, his eyes bleeding red, the sight of blood trailing down your head sent him into a frenzy.
🍗-His wings puffed out, the room suddenly flooded with crimson feathers. You felt two feathers sailing your way and cutting the bonds holding you. You swiped them up in your grip and clutched them to your chest.
🍗-The soft texture of them calming you down some.
🍗-A feral roar sounded throughout the room. You ignored the harsh thumps coming from behind you, the sound of one of the robber’s heads getting bashed into your kitchen counter made you wince.
🍗-You wanted to get up and get away from everything but your body was in shock and it wouldn’t let you do anything but clutch the crimson feathers to your chest. Your other hand was rested on your stomach.
🍗-You tried to warn them. Nothing was more dangerous than someone harming a pregnant Alphas mate. You were still pretty early along so they might not have been able to smell it in your scent.
🍗-You Alpha was sure able to, the instant he got a small whiff of it he was chirping happily against your stomach. You had a hard time getting out of his ruby wings that day.
🍗-“You DARE harm my mate and chick!” You felt the pure rage behind his words.
🍗-The blond was already passed out on the floor, his front teeth knocked out. The brunette was about to pass out with him, your Alpha choking him with his shirt. He made sure to use his feather to cut up his arms and face.
🍗-His wings behind him puffing up and flapping angrily.
🍗-“Didn’t know...” The brunette slurred, his head bashed in as much as his friend’s head.
🍗-If they wanted to hit his Omega on the head then he was all too pleased to return the favor. The brunette finally succumbed to his injures and blood loss, he went slack in Kei’s hands.
🍗-Kei dropped him to the grown without care.
🍗-“Pathetic.” He hissed.
🍗-His head snapped up in your direction once he heard your tiny sniffles. He was at your side in an instant.
🍗-“Oh, baby bird.” He cooed, lifting you from the chair and wrapping his arms and wings around you.
🍗-“Alpha, I told them to leave.” You whined, snuggling into his chest.
🍗-“I know, baby bird.” He soothed, breathing in your scent, checking on the baby chick in your belly. They seemed well. He was still gonna fly you to the hospital. He made his way to the balcony outside and spread his wings, without a second thought he jumped.
***
🍗-“Don’t worry, Omega. I already ordered some new blankets. They should be here by tomorrow. I hope you don’t mind the guest bedroom for now.” He hummed, he was curled around your balled up form.
🍗-You didn’t even build the nest surrounding you, Kei delicately dropped you down on the bed and instantly began building the nest. He would angrily chirp if you so much as lifted a finger.
🍗-Everything was fine with you and the pup, or chick as Kei liked to call them. As soon as you arrived home Kei refused to leave your side or let you out of his sight.
🍗-You were not to roll over on your side without his permission.
🍗-“Thank you, Alpha.” You thanked, nuzzling your head into one of his soft wings.
🍗-“I also called a security company, they will be here to set up a new system tomorrow.” He informed, nuzzling into your hair.
🍗-One of his hands was tangled in your hair and the other was snugly cupping your stomach.
🍗-“No more Alphas in the house.” You sniffled, shaking your head.
🍗-“Of course, baby bird. I told them, beta’s only.” He reassured, kissing your head.
🍗-“I love you, Alpha.” You whispered, almost lulled to sleep.
🍗-“I love you, too baby bird.”
First HC I have done in a while, also the first time writing for Hawks! What did you think of him? I hope you enjoyed it! Please be sure to leave a comment and like! I really enjoy hearing your reactions. 💕

Wanna blow off some steam?
Tumblr media
“Surprise!”
Katsuki jumps ten feet high, and the plastic grocery bags precariously balanced on each finger tear without a second thought. Apples hit the ground with a thud and the egg carton with a depressing slap; one that signifies the crack of at least half a dozen. Katsuki looks at the crowd, red-faced and livid, and Eijirou Kirishima intercepts the awkward silence with:
“Happy Birthday Bakubro! I know y—“
“Said that I didn’t want a fuckin’ party?” Katsuki growls, groceries forgotten on the forgotten. Eijirou looks guilty and chuckles, scratching the back of his head.
“W-Well, yeah, but—“
“Everybody out.”
People sigh, and you think you hear Denki whisper told you he’d kick us out. You hate to say that you foresaw a similar outcome. Katsuki’s never been one for people.
Especially you.
Tumblr media
“Awe come on, Kacchan,” Izuku says with hands on his hips. “We came all this way! Just let us stay for a little bit.”
“Yeah!” Eijirou seems to cheer up once given a sliver of hope. “Plus, we got cake and stuff. And Just Dance.”
Katsuki narrows his eyes, but you know better—he’s always had a soft spot for the redhead. You all wait with baited breath, wondering if this entire evening was a bust, as Katsuki weighs his options in a pool of fallen groceries.
“One hour.”
Eijirou gasps so hard he chokes, and Katsuki’s generosity earns him applause from the audience. (Plus whoops and hollers from Denki and Mina.)
“And I mean it—y’all have sixty fuckin’ minutes before you’re gone without a goddamn trace. Kapeesh?”
“Kapeesh!”
Katsuki sighs, rubbing at his temples as he steps over the mess at the front door. You assume he’ll make Eijirou clean it up. “Whatever. Where’s the fuckin’ cake?”
Ah.
“In the kitchen, my good sir!” Denki says as he ushers the ash-blond into the said kitchen, the rest of the party hot on their heels. Eijirou grabs the cake from the fridge and you’re tense until the plate hits the marble of their island.
“Flavor?” Katsuki asks, raising an eyebrow.
“Uh, I dunno, [Y/N] made it,” Eijirou throws you under the bus, just like that, and you want to scoff at the way Katsuki freezes—if only for a moment. Eijirou’s oblivious as ever, “[Y/N]?”
“It’s red velvet,” you say, trying not to burn under Katsuki’s carmine eyes. You don’t know why he doesn’t look away.
“Frosting?”
“Buttercream.”
As if you’d give him anything else.
Eijirou tries his best to cram 26 candles into the cake before being forced to opt for 23 lest he ruin your decorations. Denki presses him to make a wish and Katsuki rolls his eyes as he blows out the candles. Eijirou wipes an invisible tear because ‘his boy is getting so old.’ Mina and Jiro cut the cake and people seem to enjoy it, and you think that maybe, reuniting with your high school friends after so long isn’t as bad as you thought it’d be.
Even if he said he never wanted to see you again.
Tumblr media
“—due to the incoming blizzard, we highly suggest all those who reside in the red and orange zones stay inside until it passes; which should be around ten am tomorrow morning.”
You spoke too soon.
Katsuki turns to the crowd, and you know what he’s going to say before his lip curls.
“Out.”
“Kacchan, don’t be unreasonable!” Izuku says from his comfortable position on the couch. “We’d get caught in the storm if we leave now.”
“Not if you’re fuckin’ fast enough,” Katsuki growls, pulling the greenette’s to his feet by his hair. “Get out, I’m not bunking with you fuckers overnight.”
“Dude,” Denki points to the window, and if you hadn’t known any better, you would’ve thought the blizzard had already started. “If we leave now, we’ll literally die.”
“Die, then.”
Eijirou sighs, clapping his roommate on the back. “C’mon, man. You know we ca—“
There’s a whirr then a click, and the lights and tv die at once. You can’t see a thing but you definitely hear Katsuki shout:
“Motherfucker!”
Eijirou turns his phone flashlight on first; Katsuki’s busy angrily flicking at the light to no avail. You sigh, turning to the ash-blond (and ignoring those ugly fucking butterflies in your stomach.)
“It’s a blackout Katsuki. The lights aren’t going to work.”
“Don’t you think I fuckin’ know that, dumbass?” And your chest tightens because even though he’s not eighteen anymore, he sounds the same—but you aren’t sure why you expected him to sound so different either.
You lift an eyebrow (not that he can see it), “It doesn’t look like you do.”
Denki snorts at that, hollering about how you just owned the ash-blond as Katsuki yells at him to shut the fuck up. It’s...familiar and comfortable, like you’re all in high school again, before you had to worry about your friends dying in their line of work because you couldn’t be there with them.
Before you got injured.
“Well I mean, we have a few blankets,” Eijirou offers, and as your eyes slowly adjust to the dark, you’re convinced you see his figure cross the living room. “And like, sweatshirts if it gets too cold.”
“It’s already getting too cold,” Mina says, and you can’t help but agree. The quickly cooling room has the goosebumps raising on your shoulders, and you’re starting to regret forgetting your jacket at home.
“Okay! I don’t have that many, but,” Eijirou hollers from somewhere, before returning with a handful of cloth. He drops it onto the coffee table. “Plus Hanta and Denks left their hoodies here last time.”
“Oh shit, we did?” Hanta says, and you assume it’s his figure who starts digging through the clothes. “Totally thought I lost this, lol.”
“Did you just saw lol out loud?”
“I did.”
“Ooh Ei, do you still have that old Red Riot hoodie?” Mina asks, and all of a sudden, she’s all over the pile. She finds it before the redhead can answer and snatches it away with a gasp.
You watch the pile dissolve in the darkness, one by one, and by the time you reach for something, your palm hits the cool wood of the coffee table. Fuck.
“Oh [Y/N]! Do you need some of my blanket?” Mina offers, but the blanket is small, and wrapping it around both of your shoulders just renders it utterly useless. You shake your head after she tries for a while.
“It’s fine Mina, I’m not that cold,” you laugh, but she shakes her head vehemently.
“No! Girl c’mon, you look like you’re freezing!”
And, well. Freezing is a stretch. Sure, you’re a little cold, but you’ll live.
“Do you need my sweatshirt?” Eijirou asks, already pulling at the hem. You roll your eyes.
“I’m serious guys, it’s not that bad,” you say, waving your arms for emphasis. They all grumble but they give up, and you feel like you can finally relax.
Something soft and army green drops into your lap. You pick it up in confusion, before looking up to see who dropped it.
Katsuki looks down at you, face glowing white from the phone flashlights. His eyes pierce your soul nevertheless.
“I don’t ne—“
“Take it.”
Katsuki takes a seat next to you on the couch in his own hoodie. You don’t realize until you put it on that he gave you a sweatshirt themed after his own hero costume.
Tumblr media
You can’t sleep.
You can’t sleep, and you’re sure it’s due to the temperature. The wind howls and it sounds like you’re in the eye of a tornado, loose branches knocking against the rattling glass, and upon looking through the window, you see nothing but stark white. You sigh, checking the time on your phone for the fiftieth time this hour. Yep. Still four am.
“Stop fuckin’ movin’, dumbass.”
You all decided to bunk in the living room for warmth. You’re surprised Katsuki stayed, though; you figured he would just head to his room and let you all fend for yourselves while he slept in a comfortable bed. But here he is, sleeping next to you on the cold fucking floor.
“Sorry,” you say, but it’s hard when your shivering and your jaw aches from stunting your chattering teeth. Katsuki and Eijirou only had a limited amount of sleeping bags, meaning you’ve got to share a blanket with the hulking ash-blond.
“You cold?” He grunts. You don’t know why he’s asking.
“No.”
Katsuki sighs, and you hear him adjust, the blanket sliding from your neck to your shoulder. “You’re a shit liar.”
You prop yourself up on your elbows to glare his way, and you look to notice Katsuki’s laying the same way.
“What’s your point?”
Katsuki doesn’t answer for a moment, but it doesn’t seem like he’s looking for an answer, either—his neon red eyes glow through the dark and straight into your soul, and the next time you shiver, it isn’t because of the temperature.
“You’re stubborn.”
You roll your eyes, scoffing, “Thought you figured that out senior year.”
Katsuki’s face flashes with an emotion you can’t quite pinpoint before it’s gone again. “Yeah. You’d think almost dying would fuckin’ fix that.”
You sigh. Looks like you’re having this conversation now, then.
“I didn’t almost die—“
“Yes, you fuckin’ did,” Katsuki snarls, and Denki almost stirs at his raised tone. “You took that bullet and you didn’t get up for months—“
“And then I woke up and everything was fine! Seriously Katsuki, what’s your problem? I lived.”
“My problem is that you shouldn’t have been there in the goddamn first place!” Katsuki says through grit teeth. You watch his temple roll underneath his hairline. “That was my fuckin’ fight. I don’t need some chick jumping in front of a bullet for me just ‘cause she thinks I can’t take it!”
You scoff, looking around to see if any of your other sleeping friends are listening because get a load of this guy. Naturally, they don’t respond.
“That’s what this is about? Oh, well I’m sorry I bruised your dignity because I didn’t want to see you get fucking shot!”
Katsuki chest inflates with disbelief before it deflates again, and he’s rolling his eyes before he says, “That’s not—you fuckin’ know that’s not what I meant.”
“Oh really?” You laugh, and goddammit Katsuki, you just had to bring it up, didn’t you? “Because waking up after two months to your best friend telling you to give up doesn’t preserve your dignity at all, huh?”
“I didn’t tell you to fu—“
“You said those exact words, Katsuki. You said give up, and you left the hospital.”
The ash-blond has nothing to say to that, because he knows that you know you’re right, and trying to jedi mind trick you into believing he isn’t an asshole won’t work.
“Well you fuckin’ listened,” he grumbles, more to himself than you, but enough emotion flares in your core to make you want to scream.
“I didn’t have a choice,” you say, huffing, before turning your back to him, deeming this conversation over. “Good night, Katsuki.”
There’s a lull and it has you convinced you’ve won, finally relaxing (as much as you can) onto the cold floor. At least arguing heated your blood up a bit.
“The fuck do you mean?”
You roll your eyes even though they’re closed before you hop back onto your forearms to give the ash-blond a nasty look. “What?”
“You...said you didn’t have a choice,” Katsuki says, and it’s the first time you think you’ve heard him sound weary. Unsure. “The fuck does that mean?”
“It means I had to give up on being a hero either way.”
Which sucked. Because you had spent the past four years of your life working your ass off to save others, and you wind up out of commission before you even got started. You...suppose you didn’t tell Katsuki the whole story. Well, you hadn’t had a chance to—today’s the first time speaking with him since you woke up in the hospital.
Katsuki eyes you out of his peripheral, but only for a second. “And that means...?”
“It means that if I land on my spine the wrong way, there’s a high chance I’ll be paralyzed from the waist down.” You growl, frustrated that it was easier to coax the truth out of you than you thought.
The bullet buried close to your spinal column. You had to do PT for months, relearning how to walk as you slowly regain your motor functions. That’s when you started to bake.
“Oh.”
The howling of the wind turns from somewhat soothing to aggravating as Katsuki’s unimpressive “oh” hangs heavy in the air, and you find yourself sighing, the puzzle pieces finally clicking in your head. “Stop it.”
“Stop what?” Katsuki asks—he’s still not looking at you.
“Blaming yourself,” you gesture to his figure, which is lax with depression, lacking its sturdiness and usual fire. “You didn’t shoot the gun.”
Katsuki snorts at that, running a hand through his hair, “I might as well.”
“Stop.”
“You got shot because of me,” Katsuki says as if it were a fact. “They were trying to kill me. Not you.”
“And they didn’t kill me. I’m here and you’re here. If I hadn’t been there, you’d be six feet under right now,” you reason. Katsuki shrugs because he’s just as stubborn as you are, and you figure he’s been carrying around this baggage for too many years.
“Does your back hurt often?”
“No,” you shake your head. “I mean sure, I get flare-ups sometimes, but it’s not too bad. Doesn’t really get in the way of baking as long as the table is high enough.”
Katsuki thinks for a moment, teeth worrying his bottom lip. “Is the table high enough? At your café.”
You shrug, failing to see where he’s going with this. “I have a platform thingy, so. It’s mostly for decorating cakes and things—“
“I’ll buy you a new one.”
“What?”
“I’ll buy you a new table,” Katsuki says, nodding to himself as if he was confirming the idea. “A higher one.”
It takes a second for his offer to process, but once it does, you’re fighting a smile. Still the same kid. “Kats, I don’t nee—“
“An—And if you need a new chair. I’ll pay for that shit too.”
You shake your head—mainly in disbelief, “I don’t need a chair, Katsuki.”
“Then what?” He asks, and it almost sounds desperate with the speed he rushed the sentence, “Y’need a car? That hunk of junk you drive could use some work.”
You ignore the jab, because your car works perfectly fine thank you very much, and snort at the suggestion of such an outrageous purchase.
“What? You tryna be my sugar daddy or something?” You joke. Katsuki gives you a look, and it's dead serious.
“D’ya need one?”
“I—no!” You laugh, and have to remind yourself to reel it in before you actually wake Denki up. “I’m fine financially I just—what’s gotten into you?”
“Nothin’.” Katsuki quickly grumbles, facing forwards again. “I just...”
You raise an eyebrow, “You just..?”
“I dunno. I dunno,” Katsuki shakes his head. You let him gather his thoughts in silence before he tries again. He doesn’t.
“Then fuck me.”
In your defense, your mouth moved before you thought it through.
Katsuki has an unreadable look on his face, but his voice is anything but steady when he says, “What?”
Fuck. Fuck.
“U-Uh, I mean,” you recoil. Stupid big mouth. “I—you—don’t worry about it.”
“You said you wanted to fuck me,” Katsuki deadpans. You choke.
“I—no, that’s not—“
“That’s exactly what you said.”
“No, I meant as in I’m pent up. Obviously,” you defend with a huff, crossing your arms on the pillow as you glare daggers his way. Katsuki matches your stare.
“Not as pent up as a Pro Hero,” he scoffs, lifting an eyebrow. You take it as a challenge.
You click your tongue in faux pity, “Awe, the number two hero Dynamight doesn’t get laid?”
“No fuckin’ time,” he grunts, though you don’t find much remorse in his voice.
“Well, you have time now,” you say, completely unsure of where this confidence is coming from. Either way, you’ll take it and run.
“I do,” Katsuki confirms, leaning in closer. He’s close enough that you can smell what’s leftover of his cologne, and see the hint of a grin that makes his upper cheek shine silver in the moonlight. You find yourself leaning in just as much as he does.
“Wanna blow off some steam?” You dare to question. Katsuki’s grin only grows wider.
“Thought you’d never ask.”
Katsuki’s kisses are surprisingly soft, you think, and so are his lips. But you don’t have much time to think about it as he pulls you in by the waist, quietly groaning into your mouth while he lays you down on your back.
“Always thought you were the prettiest fuckin’ thing,” he growls, trailing butterfly kisses down your neck. “‘M gonna make it up to you, yeah? Make you feel so fuckin’ good.”
A hand hikes his sweatshirt above your chest before Katsuki’s latching onto the skin under your collarbone and sucking, teeth digging into your skin hard enough to bruise.
“Y-Yeah, that’s fine,” you whimper, intoxicated by the way Katsuki’s lips flush pink as he pulls away, eyes locked on the fresh hickey on your chest. They flicker up to you; he grins.
“Good?”
“Mhm.”
Katsuki hums at that, licking his lips before diving back in. You hiss when he bites too hard, prompting him to bite harder, but he always soothes it over with his tongue, topping each bruise with a kiss. You flinch when his lips wrap around your nipple and he chuckles at your meek whimper; a hand removes its grip on the sweatshirt in favor of sliding it up your thigh.
“Fuckin’ perfect,” Katsuki says once he pulls away, enjoying the sight of you writhing in anticipation. “And it’s all for me, ain’t it?”
“Yeah, ‘m all yours just—“ you kick a leg in frustration at the thumb playing with the hem of your panties, “—do something already.”
Katsuki raises an eyebrow, “Do what?”
You frown, huffing, “You know what.”
Katsuki shrugs, adjusting so he’s caging you to the floor. Ghosting a thumb over your panties, he says, “‘Course I do. You gotta ask nicely first.”
You tighten your hands into fists. He would.
“I’m no—“
“Beg, Princess,” Katsuki growls, his stare unwavering. He presses an inquisitive finger to your clit through your panties either as a promise or a threat—which, you’re not quite sure.
You crumble.
“I—fine, just—finger me.”
Katsuki doesn’t move. Asshole.
“Please.”
The ash-blond grins, finally pushing your panties to the side.
“Good girl.”
When Katsuki slides his first finger in, it’s much too easy, and you blame it on the foreplay. You shudder, hands moving to brace themselves on his big shoulders, and the ash-blond muffles a moan as your nails dig into his shoulders.
“Another,” you moan, bucking your hips into his palm. Katsuki’s heated gaze flickers from your body to your face.
“Already?” He chuckles, the rasp in his throat giving his arousal away. You nod—he clicks his tongue.
“Fuckin’ dirty.”
Two fingers feel like so much more than just one, and they have your eyebrows folding in a poor attempt to muffle a whimper. Katsuki’s fingers still move tentatively but they’re getting comfortable, curling and searching for that place that’ll make you tremble. And then he finds it.
“F-Fuck,” your body jolts, and Katsuki’s shushing you against the pillows.
“Keep your mouth shut, Princess,” he purrs, head dipping down to nip at your neck. It adjusts the angle ever so slightly, but enough to make you hiss, and he chuckles. “Unless you wanna get caught.”
“Oh yeah, because that sounds fun right now,” you snort towards the ceiling. Katsuki pulls away with an unimpressed look as his thumb comes down over your clit.
“Can’t wait to fuck the brat outta ya. Maybe then you’ll actually shut up for once, huh?” Katsuki inserts a third finger without you asking him to, and you gasp, clawing at his back.
“Shh, shh, shh,” he laughs against your mouth lowly, as if the light kisses will do anything but make more noise, “Good God sweetheart, you’re really pent up, aren’t ya?”
“Shit—I doubt you’re much better,” you try, scoffing at what you can see of his painfully hard cock in his sweatpants. Katsuki looks down before sending a huff your way, with a cute little blush dusted on his cheeks.
“Shut the fuck up,” he grunts, pulling out his fingers. You whine at the loss. “How d’ya want me to fuck you?”
You need to take a step back from how crude the question is. Right, sex.
“Right um,” you look around, trying to find the least obvious position—and one that doesn’t make a shit ton of noise. Laying on your side, you tuck an arm under the pillow, before turning around to Katsuki to suggest, “Cuddle-fucking?”
“Cuddle-fucking.”
“Yep,” you say with finality, popping the p. Making big grabby hands his way, you say, “C’mere, big guy.”
Katsuki rolls his eyes but moves behind you anyways, warm arms easily finding themselves around your waist under the blanket. After a few adjustments and ensuring you're both fully covered, Katsuki’s hard cock presses against your entrance as he hooks his head over your chin with a huff.
“This is so not on fuckin’ brand.”
“I don’t think fucking in a living room with sleeping friends is on-brand for a pro hero or a baker,” you say casually. Katsuki breaks out into a snort, pressing his face deeper into your neck.
“God, I fuckin’ missed you, ya know that?” He chortles. Your chest blooms with something it hasn’t in years, and for the first time, you find that you don’t mind.
“Don’t be such a dick and maybe I’ll stick around this time,” you quip with a smile he can’t see. Though you feel his against the base of your neck.
“Noted.”
Katsuki’s last words hang in the air, unusually heavy, and your eyes catch the snow beating against the window with a less than angry howl. Katsuki’s chest shudders against your back but he doesn’t move, hands frozen at your waist.
“Hey, I thought you were gon—“
“I’m getting to it,” Katsuki snaps, and you gasp as he starts to push inside. “So fuckin’ impatient, goddamn.”
He pulls you down until he fills you completely, and you suppress the urge to shout at the speed he did it with. Katsuki moves a hand to slap over your mouth.
“Shut the fuck up.”
You reach around to pinch him in the side with a huff, he calls you a bitch. It’s a little hard to hear you behind his hand as you say, “Then don’t catch me off guard like that, asshole.”
Katsuki snaps his hips and does exactly what you tell him not to do—prompting another surprised whine out of you and a dark chuckle from the ash-blond. His cheek presses into your jaw as he finds leverage in hiking your lower half up until your puffy cunt is level with his cock, and fucking you until you drool all over the pillow.
“What a pretty fuckin’ thing,” Katsuki grunts, and you can tell he struggles to keep quiet in the way his chest sporadically shudders. You have to grip the pillow for some semblance of purchase and Katsuki chuckles at watching you struggle, before he’s hiking your leg up to fuck you that much deeper.
“I always—always knew you’d sound so good,” he pants, the grip around your mouth bordering on clammy. You want to tell him that if he keeps making so much noise he’ll wake up everyone in this fucking room, but there isn’t much time between moans to get more than a word in. “Fuck baby, keep tightening around me like that, and I might fuckin’ cum.”
You find it amusing how close he is so quickly, until two fingers land on your clit and start rubbing in slow, small circles. Your walls flutter around him and Katsuki digs his teeth into your neck with a curse, his grip around your raised thigh contracting as he tries to hold on for as long as he can.
And that’s when Denki starts to move.
First, he rolls to the left. Which would’ve been fine, seeing as it’s in the opposite direction until he bops Eijirou straight on the nose and promptly rouses the redhead from his slumber. Katsuki’s hips still.
“O-Ow, dick,” Eijirou curses under his breath, quickly scrambling to his forearms. It’s hard to tell through the darkness, mostly because you’re squinting your eyes to feign sleep, but it seems like Eijirou rubs under his nose, only to blink back at a bloody hand.
“...Shit.”
Katsuki’s hips shift, ever so slightly, but enough to nestle his cock deeper and force you to bite back a whine. And another. And then another.
You try your hardest to be discreet when you reach to pinch Katsuki in the side, and he breathes a laugh down your neck.
“What?” He whispers, though it's more than a rasp than anything else. Good to know you’re not the only one struggling to not cum, here.
“You know 'what,'” you quickly hiss. But Katsuki’s hips don’t stop as Eijirou weighs his options to cure his bloody nose in the dark. The fingers on your clit return their usual pressure and you inhale sharply, nails digging into Katsuki’s forearm as your orgasm begins creeping up on you.
Eijirou sniffles and gets up, stumbling through the darkness to turn down the hall that leads to the bedrooms. Katsuki sees that as fucking freedom and his hips really start to pick up so much speed that you struggle to breathe through it all.
“‘M gonna cum,” Katsuki whimpers into your neck, burying his face deeper in a poor attempt to stunt any sound. “Fuck, fuck ‘m gonna cum, you close baby?”
“Y-Yeah jus’ a little more,” you whimper, eyes rolling as Katsuki finds some inhumane energy in him to fuck faster. He nods at that and bites into your shoulder with a growl, “C’mon, fuckin’ cream all over my cock—atta girl, fuck, fuck—“
Katsuki fills you up the moment you clench around his cock with a sigh, the weight of your orgasm knocking you forehead-first into your pillow as you bite the urge to squeal. Katsuki doesn't growl as much as you expect, moans breathy and light as his hips finally stutter to a stop—but you suppose some things have to change over the years.
Katsuki collapses next to you in pure exhaustion and you’re sure that’s his cum leaking down your thigh, but for some reason, you don’t really mind.
“Hey you,” he speaks first, eyes blazing red in the darkness. You snort.
“Hey, you.”
Katsuki chuckles with a stupidly giddy smile on his face, "Y'know, you still fuck really well."
You drop your head on his chest to snort, and his hands find their rightful place around your waist.
"Better than high school?"
"Yeah..." Katsuki grumbles, before his eyes narrow. "Wait—hey, yo—"
"I haven't fucked anyone since," you snuff the fire before it even starts, and Katsuki relaxes, though his eyes stay slim. He pulls you closer and you sigh—it's comfortable.
"Good," he grunts. And then after a pregnant silence: "I haven't either."
That's...strangely reassuring.
Your arms wriggle until they fold over his shoulders to play with the small hairs on the back of his neck, and he hums, eyes fluttering shut with a final peck on the lips. As Katsuki's breathing evens and the white of the snow dyes the highest points of his face white, you smile. He looks older.
You think he's asleep until he nudges your waist.
"Be my girlfriend."
You don't even hesitate.
"Okay."
By the time Eijirou comes stumbling down the hall, both you and Katsuki are passed out—with his body encompassing yours in the most intimate way, face tucked into your hickey-ridden neck as your arms and legs lock around his being. The redhead gives you both a soft smile as he passes, snorting to himself.
“Took them long enough.”

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
 She picked up the white stick from the counter, frowning at the word “NEGATIVE” that was displayed on the screen.
With a heavy sigh she threw the plastic stick away in the trash, washing her hands and going out to start her morning. Her kids still had at least 45 more minutes before they had to get up which was long enough to get their breakfast cooking.
Spencer was away on a case out of state, which meant that getting both of the kids up, fed, and to school was all up to her.
As she went down the stairs she could hear shuffling going on in the kitchen and the smell of fresh brewing coffee. She peeked around the corner hesitant at first, until she recognized the back of her husband’s head.
“You’re home!” She cheers quietly, wrapping her arms around his waist and hugging him from behind.
“I wanted to surprise you and the kids. I got in about an hour ago.” He quickly turns around and takes his wife’s face in his hands, kissing her softly. “I missed you.”
“I missed you too.” She responds, resting her head against his chest. “I um… took a test this morning.” She starts.
“Yeah?”
She looks up at Spencer and bites her bottom lip, looking displeased.
“Oh honey, I’m sorry.” Spencer says, rubbing her lower back in comfort.
“It’s been months that we’ve been trying. We didn’t have this much trouble getting pregnant with Jason and Valerie.”
“Well, with them we were younger.”
“Are you saying I’m old?” She asks, not being able to contain the laugh that was on her face.
Spencer’s eyes widen, realizing his mistake right away. “No! No! No, I’m just saying that you just turned 33 so it’s going to be harder to get pregnant. We were both in our early 20s when we had Jason.”
She sighs and nods her head. “I know. I just… I want a baby now.”
Spencer kisses her forehead and brings her in for another hug. “We’ll have another, sweetheart. But in the meantime, we get to make the baby and I know you enjoy doing that.” He whispers.
“Spencer Reid, it is 5:30 in the morning are you really trying to do this now?”
“I am.” He backs his wife against the counter and lifts her up, making her sit against the countertop.
“Spencer! We eat and cook on this counter!”
“And I’m about to eat too.”
She can’t help but laugh, covering her face with her hands and Spencer wastes no time with pulling her shorts down her hips and instantly licking a long stripe up her pussy. “Fuck!” She moans quietly, her fingers intertwining his hair. “I-I know you like doing that, and-fuck- I love when you eat me out too.” She gets lost in her train of thought as Spencer flicks his tongue back and forth against her clit, making her whole body go weak. “Oh my god!” She whisper yells. “We don’t have time for this if you’re going to fuck me.”
Spencer gives a few more licks before coming up and meeting her face to face.
“Come here.” She says, kissing his lips harshly.
Spencer took advantage of the fact his wife’s legs were open, taking his fingers and slicking his fingers up and down her folds, touching the wetness and slipping his fingers in.
“Spencer!” She whines, her head falling back.
Spencer kisses her neck, lightly nipping at the skin, making her yelp a little too loudly.
She covers her mouth with her hand, stifling a laugh.
“Shhh, so loud.” Spencer teases, a smile on his face.
“We have maybe 20 more minutes before the kids need to be up. We need to hurry this along.”
“Oh, so romantic baby.” Spencer says with sarcasm laced in his voice.
She hops off the counter and turns her back to him, bending over the counter. “I’m all about the romance.” She smirks, letting her shorts fall down around her ankles.
Spencer quickly fishes his cock from the zipper, stroking himself a few times before guiding himself in, a throaty groan coming from him. “Fuck baby, so wet.”
“You know you can just look at me and I get wet.” She whispers, clinging onto a clean dishrag on the counter.
Spencer kept a nice steady pace as he gripped both sides of her hips, railing into her. “You take me so well, baby.”
His wife hums in response, letting out a string of broken sobs, careful not to moan too loudly. “Baby, harder and please! I need more.”
Spencer gives her ass one harsh slap, making her yelp again. “You think you can take my cock going harder into you?” He asks, grabbing the ponytail that was going down her back and yanks it back.
“Yes sir! Yes I can take it!”
Spencer fucks into her harder, holding both of her shoulders for balance. “Sir? That’s the route you wanna go, darling?”
Just as she’s about to answer they hear a door open from upstairs followed by footsteps.
“Shit! No!” She cusses as Spencer reluctantly pulls out and helps his wife pick her shorts up and fixes them for her.
Spencer turns around to situate himself, trying to hide the evidence of what they were just doing.
She grabs the disinfectant spray and a paper towel, wiping the counter off as their son makes his way down the stairs. “Hi sweetheart.” She calls out to him.
He continues to rub the sleep out of his eyes until he sees his dad. “Dad! You’re home!” He runs to him, Spencer embracing him for a hug.
“Hey buddy.” Spencer says, holding his first born.
“Is your sister awake?” She asks Jason.
“I don’t know. I had to wake up because I heard sounds and didn’t know what it was. And then I had to go to the bathroom.”
Spencer and his wife make eye contact, his wife trying to hide the smile on her face.
“I’m going to go upstairs and wake her.”
“I’ll start on some eggs and pancakes for you guys, what do you think bud?”
She watches as Jason looks up at Spencer and nods his head, hearing him ask if he could help which made her heart feel full.
As she climbs upstairs she can feel the dull aching between her legs, something the both of them were going to have to take care of once the kids were at school.
***
“But mommy, daddy’s home! Why can’t we stay home?” Valerie asks from the back seat.
“Because you guys have to go to school. Daddy will be home when school is done.”
“But we missed him!”
“Honey, I know. I missed him too, but you guys have school, and I have work so I can’t hang out with daddy either.”
A slight lie. She did have work, but the kids didn’t need to know she took a “sick” day.
She looks back in the rear view mirror, both of her kids with a matching pout on their faces, ones that also matched Spencer’s pout. “Listen, if we go to school today, and you guys have a good day, maybe I’ll bust you guys out early on Friday and we can all go somewhere fun for the weekend. Does that sound like a plan?”
“Where are we going to go?” Jason asks.
“I don’t know, we can all talk about it as a family if you guys have a good day at school today. Can we do that?”
“Okay mommy!” Valerie says loudly, a smile on her face.
“Okay.” Jason says with not as much enthusiasm as his sister.
She pulls up to the parent drop off line at school, hearing both of the kids undoing their seat belts and gathering their stuff up. “Have a good day babies, I love you.”
Both kids give her a kiss on the cheek before scooting out the car door and walking hand and hand with each other to the school.
***
She makes her way up to their bedroom, ready to pick up where she and Spencer left off this morning, only to find him fast asleep under the sheets, soft little snores filling the room. She can’t help but smile at how adorable he looked hugging one of her pillows into his chest. Slowly she closes the door and goes back downstairs to clean the mess from breakfast and start some of Spencer’s laundry from his go bag.
After a few hours of cleaning up the kitchen and catching up on some laundry, she was beyond ready for a shower. She heads upstairs, quietly gathering new clothes while Spencer slept.
When she steps out of the shower she spots Spencer leaning against the sink, making her slightly jump. “You scared me.” She says, grabbing the towel and drying herself off.
“Come here.” He says, motioning her over with his hands.
She cocks her eyebrow at him and walks over to him, the towel pressed against the bottom of her face as she tries to dry it off.
“I need you.” He says, pressing her against himself.
“Yeah? Are we going to pick up where we left off this morning?” She asks, wrapping both of her arms around his neck and pulling him closer.
His body buzzed at the feeling of how wet and warm her body was against his. “Do you remember where we left off?”
“You’re the one with an eidetic memory. Why don’t you tell me? Or better yet, show me where we were… sir.” She smirks.
Spencer turns her around, her back facing him while facing the mirror. “You want me to show you, baby?” He whispers in her ear, his fingers dipping in between her legs.
“Fuck!” She moans, gripping his forearm.
“Look at that, just out of the shower and you’re already wet for me.” He growls, nipping at her neck. His fingers quickly rub at her clit, feeling how hard he was getting as he heard her moaning and felt her ass pressed against his crotch.
“Spencer, fuck me please. Please baby, please.” She was desperate to feel him inside her again after this morning.
“Yeah, baby.” He groans, taking his sweatpants off to his ankles and sliding himself in painfully slow.
Both of them moan as he doesn’t miss a beat with thrusting into her in a good steady rhythm.
“Fuck that’s so good sir.” She says, looking back at him in the mirror.
Spencer takes a fistful of her hair and holds her head up, forcing her to look back at herself. “Look at you. You like looking at me fuck you? You like that, baby?” He grunts out, giving her ass a smack.
“Yes! Yes I love it! I fucking love it!” She moans back, holding the counter of the sink so she didn’t fall over. She loved watching Spencer look at her through the mirror and seeing how his mouth fell open while he railed into her, hunger in his eyes.
Spencer pulls back, turning his wife around and taking her face in his hands and kissing her harshly.
She wraps her arms around his neck while he lifts her up to sit on the counter, pulling back from the kiss. She opens her legs and smiles as  Spencer slides back in and instantly begins snapping his hips back and forth. Her own hips meet his thrusts, making her whimper as her bottoms her out. “Keep going sir!”
“Yeah baby. You’re doing such a good job taking my fucking cock baby. Such a good girl.” He says into her mouth, kissing her again. “Come here.” Spencer pulls her off the counter and brings her over to the edge of the tub, sitting on it.
She climbs onto his lap, sliding onto his cock with a pathetic whimper. She rests her forehead on his as she begins to grind herself against him, biting her lip.
Spencer grabs onto her ass and helps her fuck herself on him. He stares into her eyes, seeing her slowly fall apart on top of him. He pulls her damp hair back from her face, holding it at the back of her head. “That’s my girl. Yeah, you like fucking me don’t you?
“Yes!” She breathes out heavily. “Yes I fucking love it! Fuck you’re so deep in me sir.”
“That way I can cum deep inside you and put a baby in you. You want my baby inside you?”
“Yes I want you to give me a baby!” She almost yells, her voice echoing through the room.
Spencer kisses her lips, letting her hair go and letting it flow down her back. “You’re going to cum, aren’t you little one? You’re going to cum for me?”
She nods her head and bites her bottom lip again.
“Up. Let me fuck you.”
She stands up and sits back on the counter, massaging her clit as Spencer slides back into her.
His fingers replace hers and continues the circles. “Does that feel good? Do you like that?” He asks.
“Mmhmm! Don’t stop, please!”
“I’m not going to stop, sweetheart. I love seeing you fall apart all because I’m touching you.” He whispers, thrusting and massaging her.
She puts her hand on the back of Spencer’s neck and pulls his head closer to hers, kissing him deeply as her body begins to tingle.
It doesn’t take much more for her to fall apart against his cock and fingers, moans getting trapped between their lips.
Spencer pulls back, letting her moans fill the room while he still massages her. “I know baby, I know that felt so good.”
Between her clenching around his cock and hearing  her desperate and broken moans, Spencer could feel himself start to lose his composure. He swipes his thumb across her bottom lip as he touches her face lovingly. His hands didn’t leave his wife’s boobs as they bounced in his line of sight. “I’m going to cum, sweetheart.” He groans, sitting his eyes tight.
“Yeah baby. Cum inside me! Fill me up and make me feel good.” She coos.
He manages 2 more thrusts before shooting ropes inside his wife before stalling his movements. Deep throaty moans and grunts coming from him as he calms down.
She holds his body against hers, kissing his shoulder. “That was so good.” She half laughs.
Spencer pulls out slowly, kissing her lips as he does. “Come lay with me in bed.” Spencer says, helping her off the counter and taking her to their bed.
She cuddles into his side, nuzzling her head into his neck. “I love you Spence.”
“I love you too baby.” He responds, kissing her head. “Are you okay?”
“Mmhmm. Perfect.”
“Not too rough?”
She laughs and kisses his cheek. “Baby no. Just because we have kids doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy rough sex. Do you remember how we used to go at it before we had kids? It’s amazing how we didn’t have kids sooner.”
Spencer laughs. “Yeah we would probably have a whole sports team worth of kids at this point.”
“Can we take a nap?” She asks.
“Of course. And I’ll pick the kids up from school so that you don’t have to get out of bed.”
She grabs the bed sheets and covers both of them up, nuzzling closer to him. “I have such a good husband and father of my kids.”
Spencer puts his arm around her and rubs her shoulder until he hears her softly snoring next to him.
9 months later, Spencer would have two new babies to take care of alongside his wife: identical twin baby girls. Their house now up to 6.
If I Fell For You (Part 14) - Keep Close
Tumblr media
Summary: The Ackles have the Padalecki’s over for dinner and let it slip that they’re engaged. Things seem to be going well but the anniversary of the accident is coming up and the reader comes up with the Ackles taking their first vacation together as a means of distracting Jensen as well reconnecting with Ray...
Masterlist
Pairing: Jensen x nanny!reader
Word Count: 4,800ish
Warnings: language, mention of sex, mention of a dead parent/spouse, anxiety
A/N: Please enjoy and let me know what you think!
________
“I’m stuffed,” said Jensen that night, the kids running around playing soccer in the yard after dinner.
“I need that chicken recipe,” said Jared.
“I’ll write it down for you guys,” you said, sitting back in your chair. “You can do it with breast too if you like that better.”
“I want exactly this like, everyday from now on,” said Jared. Gen rolled her eyes and Jensen pulled out his phone. “Want me to take a pic?”
“I don’t need your freakishly long arms just yet,” chuckled Jensen. He turned around and took one of the four of you at the table before handing off his phone. “Mind getting one of us?”
“Your mom harassing you for engagement photos already?” asked Gen.
“By the time we were leaving they were both asking for photos and being obnoxious. Better than they were though,” said Jensen, smiling beside you. Jared took a few more and handed the phone back.
“I still can’t believe your parents would act like that,” said Gen. “I mean obviously I’m super happy it got fixed but that’s so unlike them.”
“They made a mistake is all,” you said with a smile. “I don’t know about you guys but I’m going to finish this beer in the pool.”
“I think I’ll join you,” said Jared. He stood up and had a look on his face you caught too late. Before you knew it he had you picked up and was jogging over to the deep end and jumping in with you.
“Jared!” you said when you popped up. He giggled and swam off to the shallow end. “After I helped pick up the plates ya big lug.”
“We got it,” said Jensen, carrying over two beer cans and handing them to you. “We’ll join you guys in a few.”
About ten minutes later Jensen was leaning against the side of the pool in his bright red swim trunks, handing you the other half of his cookie cake piece.
“So any big plans for the wedding?” asked Jared, sat on the pool steps with Gen.
“I have a thought,” you said, turning to Jensen. “I haven’t discussed it with Jensen yet.”
“Vegas. Shotgun wedding,” he laughed. You shook your head and he grinned. “You’re thinking the farm, aren’t you.”
“What do you think? It could be outdoor or indoor, whatever it needs to be depending on the weather.”
“I’d love that,” he said, giving you a squeeze. “That’d be perfect for us.”
“You own a farm?” asked Jared.
“Yeah, ten minutes from the brewery.”
“Dudes. You can open bar with your own beer. Oh and dibs on being a groomsmen.”
“Like that wasn’t gonna happen,” said Jensen.
“I don’t know on that,” you said. Jared’s face fell and you shook your head. “Sorry. I didn’t mean that you wouldn’t be one. Of course you would. I just don’t have a lot of close girlfriends. I think it’d be weird if Jensen had a ton and…”
“I don’t think it’s weird,” said Gen. “We didn’t have an even number at our wedding.”
“We got time to figure that stuff out,” said Jensen, holding your waist. You finished the last bite of cookie and hummed.
“So you two having a kid?” asked Jared. Gen whacked his chest and he shrugged.
“Jesus, Jare. Don’t ask that.”
“They’re our best friends and godparents to our children...although I guess Y/N didn’t know that she inherited that until now but come on, I know you’re wondering too.”
“Shut up,” said Gen, crossing her arms. “Obviously if they decide, they’ll tell us when it happens.”
“Yeah, I think there’ll be at least one,” you laughed. Gen lit up and turned to Jared.
“Last time they said they were having a baby guess what we did? I can’t handle no more babies,” said Jared.
“Can you even get that thing up anymore?” teased Jensen, sipping on his beer.
“You’re one to talk, old man.”
“That shit still works just fine.”
“Just fine?” shot back Jared.
“Oh my God. You’re both good at sex. Y/N be grateful you’ve missed this same conversation over and over for the past sixteen odd years,” said Gen.
“I’m still taller,” said Jared with a smirk.
“I can last longer,” said Jensen with one of his own. They narrowed their eyes at one another and Jared stood up.
“Go wrestle on the grass,” groaned Gen. They both huffed and got out of the pool before starting to playfully wrestle. “See, what you may not realize yet is you have another child right there.”
“Yeah but he’s hot,” you said, Gen laughing while you sat beside her. “Do you guys really talk about sex with each other?”
“Yes and no. The boys are you know, boys. They’d combust if they didn’t tease each other. I wouldn’t say there’s like, intimate details or anything ever shared. They’re both pretty private about that sort of thing. Dee and I would talk but more so say we had fun the night before. Shit we probably talked about sex toys more than anything.”
You stopped mid sip of your beer and she laughed.
“When your guy is thousands of miles away for that long out of the year, you gotta get off on your own. You get pretty good at phone sex too. You’re lucky. Jensen won’t be staying away so long ever again he said.”
“No, no. But uh...before Jensen I’d had the same boyfriend forever and he was as vanilla as could be. We didn’t do that stuff really together.”
“I can text you some links to stuff. It’s not like you have to go in some scary store or anything. It’s discrete and I think a small vibe would be great to start with. You can use it during sex or foreplay or whatever. Just you know, have fun.”
“Jensen and I kinda got busted by the cops a week or so back for...activities in the backseat,” you said. She started to laugh and you groaned. “Thankfully it was his friend that caught us so he let us off the hook but...it was kinda fun.”
“Good,” she said, sighing as Jensen pinned Jared down. “Hey so yeah about that wedding thing. Jared had two more groomsmen than I had girls. It doesn’t have to be matchy, matchy, you know?”
“I know. I don’t know if…” you trailed off. “I lost my friend group when I broke it off with my last boyfriend. We’d been together for over ten years and I kept turning down his proposals and they didn’t like that. I have some nanny friends but not a lot and no one I’m really close to. I don’t know if I’d even get more than five people to come for me. Everyone else is his family and friends and I didn’t think about that until just now. I mean what would they think, seeing that? I don’t know if I even want anyone there now.”
“I think what they’d see is someone they care about marrying someone he loves. Just because we’re Jensen’s friends doesn’t mean we’re not your friends too. I know we’re still getting to know each other but we’ll be as close as those two eventually. Ruthie was texting me and we’re having a girls night the next convention in Dallas. You literally have a built in crew ready to go from the show, the girls and the guys. You are so coming with me to the next night I have with my local girlfriends and you got our family. You even got Dee’s parents. You have more than you know, sweetie.”
“I never had a best friend growing up except for my mom. Until Jensen,” you said. “I’ve never really been good at the friend thing.”
“Were you bullied in school?” she asked quietly.
“Don’t tell anyone besides Jared but my dad wasn’t a good person. He hurt me and so I was afraid of getting in trouble so I didn’t talk to other kids all that much until I got old enough to understand what he was doing was wrong and that’s how I ended up being adopted.”
“I’m sorry.”
“Can’t do anything about it now. But I can have it not control my life too. I’ve been pretty good since I was nine in that department. My mom dying sucked and things have been up and down but I like where I am now. This is easily the happiest I’ve ever been in my life.”
“Jens’s not perfect.”
“I know. But he’s good enough. He gave me a certain confidence to live my life, like really live it.”
“He’s alright,” she smiled. “You know I have an idea about this bridesmaids thing you might like.”
“You?”
“Oh I would for sure but I meant more so I know two little girls that wouldn’t mind. Maybe there’s a boy too,” she said.
“I’m gonna need you to be my wedding planner at this rate,” you said.
“Job accepted,” she said. “I say we go farmhouse modern style.”
“Gen. I got engaged like two weeks ago. We have time,” you said. “We don’t even have a date.”
“At the very least can we go dress shopping?” she asked.
“I’m going to regret this,” you sighed as Jensen stepped back in the water.
“Get yourself a stronger man, Padalecki. That one is weak,” he said. Jared followed him right after and went to tackle him when Gen caught his arm.
“Boys, not in the water,” she said.
“Chicken?” asked Jensen.
“Losers pick up the tab for when we go out this weekend for dinner. Deal?” asked Jared.
“Well in that case, you’re on.”
Two Weeks Later
“Jensen,” you said, carding your fingers through his hair while he absentmindedly burnt some eggs. “You okay babe?”
“Yeah. We ought to pack up the kids, get on the road soon if we’re gonna hit the beach.”
“I’m gonna drive, okay?” you asked. He nodded and you got out the eggs again, making up a new batch. “Do you want to talk to Ray?”
“Why?” he asked quietly, leaning back against the counter.
“Anniversaries of traumatic events can be triggering,” you said. “My mom died two days ago. Well, you know what I mean.”
“Why didn’t you say anything?” he asked.
“Because it doesn’t trigger me anymore. But it did and this is the first time...the first one is the roughest.”
“Yeah,” he said. “I ought to talk to him.”
“Eat your breakfast. I’ll give him a call and get the kids ready while you guys talk, okay?” you said.
“Thank you,” he said. You kissed his cheek and hugged him before you went upstairs for your phone. It rang a few times but Ray finally answered, noise in the background.
“Y/N. Everything alright?” he asked.
“Hey. Yeah. We’re...we’re pretty good. Today’s the first anniversary of Jensen’s-”
“Ah. I understand.”
“Listen, I know it’s a Sunday and you don’t work the weekends but would you mind talking to him for a few minutes? We’re going down to Galveston for the week in a bit but he’s off this morning.”
“I’d talk to him even if he wasn’t your fiance but especially because of that. You know we’re actually down here ourselves for a few days. Just got down yesterday. If you guys are around...maybe we could get together for that swim.”
“I’d like that. You okay?” you asked.
“I always get a little down on the day but Sarah understands. You understand.”
“Yeah. I’m gonna put Jensen on and um, maybe we can meet at Arillo’s for dinner?”
“We got a reservation there ourselves tonight. How many in your crew? Five? I’ll call and ask for an update.”
“Yeah there’s five of us. Um, Ray?”
“Yeah?”
“I’m sorry for being so horrible as a teenager after mom. You loved her as much as I did.”
“Thank you but you don’t have to apologize for that. You got too much pain in your life. I’m glad you found the good stuff too.”
“Are Geroge and Taylor there?” you asked.
“Yeah kids are here. Taylor’s got some internship but she does it online half the day and George is some research assistant thing for one of his professors but same kinda deal. We leave them to work in the morning while Sarah and I have some fun. Want me to let them know you’re coming?”
“Probably a good idea. Not sure how they’ll react,” you said, Jensen poking his head into the bedroom. “Here’s Jensen.”
“Okay, sweetie. We’ll see you guys soon.”
You handed the phone to Jensen and finished up packing while he sat on the bed. You tried to leave him be but couldn’t help listening in.
“Yeah I’m anxious...I don’t want her to drive down today...you know why...I guess...probably...I don’t want to be freaking out for three hours in the car...because it’s today...I know...I know...so I have to suck it up...I don’t want to have a panic attack in the car with the kids...no I haven’t...I’m scared I will though...yeah...I understand...dude that sounds so stupid...that’s not medically anything...no I don’t have my doctorate...I don’t wanna ask her...I said I don’t want to, not that I wouldn’t...I know...I will...maybe I’ll try that too...yeah, Y/N said the first year is the roughest too...I’ll let her be in charge until we get down to the beach today. I think I’ll feel better after the car...yeah I kinda figured out what she was doing planning a trip on today of all days...I need it...really? Yeah, I’m looking forward to meeting up down there too...thanks Ray.”
You finished with your suitcase and had his open for him when he walked into the closet. He swallowed and handed your phone back.
“All good?” you asked.
“Ray thought it might be a good idea if I had something of yours with me on the way down, to keep on me since I’m...anxious this morning about being in a car.”
“Something of mine…” you said, looking at your side of the closet. “Why don’t you pack up and I’ll get you something before the road, okay?”
He nodded and twenty minutes and about three bathroom trips later the SUV was packed up. You hopped behind the wheel, Jensen tapping the arm rest from the passenger seat.
“Here,” you said, reaching into your pocket, pulling out a bracelet. It was fabric, the kind made from craft string, white, rusty orange and a light tan color mixed together.
“I’ve never seen this,” he said as he held it between his fingers.
“I got it on vacation with mom and Ray. Last one we went on,” you said, tying it around his wrist. “You have it.”
He stared at you as you turned the engine on, watching you backout.
“This is too important for me to take,” he said quietly.
“It’s fabric. I want you to have it, okay?” you said, pulling onto the street and closing the gate. He nodded and you turned the radio on low. “Coffee run?”
“Yeah. Coffee sounds good right about now.”
You were only about fifteen or so minutes away from the beach house you’d rented. The kids were either taking naps in the backseats or watching a movie on the ipad. You risked a glance at Jensen, his fingers absently toying with the bracelet while he looked out the window, the radio on low.
“How you doing big guy?” you asked as you pulled off to the exit ramp.
“Pretty good now,” he said softly.
“Mind navigating for me?” you asked. He hummed and picked up your phone from where it sat in the console the past few hours. About twenty minutes or so you were stretching outside of the car, Jensen opening the front door of the house with the code you’d been given. The kids climbed out and were good about each taking their own backpacks while you and Jensen gathered up the rest.
“Come here,” he said, leaving the bags by his feet and kissing you against the side of the car. You grinned and he picked you up in a big squeezing hug. “I love you.”
“I know,” you said. He set you down and kissed you again. “You seem like yourself again.”
“I needed that push, get over that fear. But now, I can enjoy my day with my girl and my kiddos and apparently we are having dinner with Ray and his family tonight?” he asked.
“If that’s alright,” you said.
“One hundred percent,” he said, Arrow jumping up and down nearby. “Honey, go use the bathroom in the house if you have to go.”
“No I’m excited!” she said. “Can we go play on the beach? Pretty please?”
“Hm, give daddy fifteen minutes and then we can go?” he asked. She turned to you and grinned.
“We’ll go really soon sweetie. I promise.”
“Hey guys,” said Jensen an hour later, the five of you down on the beach and mostly watching them build a sandcastle together. “Y/N and I want to tell you something.”
“Is it that you guys are getting married?” asked JJ, patting some sand with her shovel. You glanced at Jensen and he shrugged. “You were talking to Aunt Gen and Uncle Jared about it last night, right?”
“Well, yes we were,” said Jensen. “I suppose we were a little louder than we thought. But yes, Y/N and I have decided to get married. We’re not sure when exactly but in the next year I can say.”
“So we have a mom again?” asked Arrow, fixing her corner of the castle that kept caving in.
“Well you guys are kinda lucky. You’ll get two moms,” he said. “How’s that sound?”
“We missed mom’s day,” she said with a sigh. “Right?”
“We’ll catch it next year, promise,” said Jensen. “Do you guys have any questions or anything you want to say?”
“Do we call you mom now?” asked JJ.
“You guys call me whatever you want,” you said.
“Can we call you mom?” she asked. You nodded and she went back to playing in the sand.
“Anything else guys?” asked Jensen.
“Can I get a giraffe?” asked Zeppelin while he figured out how much water to add to the sand to get it to stick together.
“No sweetie. They wouldn’t fit at our house,” said Jensen.
“Darn it,” he said.
“I can tell you’re all so invested in this topic,” chuckled Jensen.
“Oh! Can my flower girl dress be purple?” asked JJ.
“Your dress can be whatever color you want it to be,” you said.
“Awesome,” she said. “Or black and purple. With lightning stripes.”
“Ah, I knew the classic rock would finally pay off,” said Jensen.
“Maybe Daddy’s suit can be black and white stripes, like a tiger,” you said.
“Like a White Snake music video more like it,” he laughed. “We’ll figure all that stuff out. We wanted to make sure you guys knew was all and if you have any questions or were nervous or anything you know you can ask either one of us.”
“Mom makes you happy again. Of course you gotta marry her!” said Arrow. “Oh and get her a pony. Girls like that.”
“Would you care for a pony, sweetheart?” asked Jensen as he shook his head.
“Are we talking mustang kind of pony?” you asked.
“That’s my girl,” he said, wrapping an arm over your shoulders, kissing your cheek. “Let dad get a picture of you guys. We’re on vacation after all.”
Five Hours Later
“Jensen,” you said, changing into a light summer top and a pair of denim shorts after your shower. He was standing by his suitcase undressed, trailing his finger over his scar. “Honey?”
“A year ago was the worst day of my life and today was a really great one. I get to meet Ray more and even Sarah and the kids who all sound great and...I’m really happy I’m still here to see all this.”
“Me too,” you said, wrapping your arms around him. “Wear your red underwear.”
“Is that a request?”
“I like how you look when you take it off,” you said, gently smacking his ass as you went to go fix your hair.
“I am so grateful I found you,” he said to himself. You smiled and brushed your teeth quickly before checking yourself over and taking a selfie. You sat up on the counter and opened instagram, still silently grateful you’d always had it on private. There was nothing bad on it but Jensen and Jared had tagged you before and all of the comments always seemed to be negative.
“How do I look?” asked Jensen, walking in wearing a short sleeve navy button down and his red underwear.
“So sexy,” you giggled, Jensen digging through his other bag and finding his khaki shorts.
“Can I get away with sneakers and a backwards baseball cap at this restaurant?” he asked.
“Totally. We always eat outside. It’s near the pier,” you said, putting up your post.
“Taking more pictures I can show off of you again?” he asked, grabbing your brush and getting some control of his damp hair back.
“Nobody even sees my instagram hardly,” you said.
“You know the internet knows we’re dating, right.”
“I’m pretty sure your fans still aren’t okay with that fact, even if they know.”
“Oh you’re mistaking the nutjobs for actual fans. The real ones, those guys are cool and nice. I actually got a lot of care packages and things from them last year. Still do. They really are good people. Those other ones that leave nasty comments? Fuck them. That shit don’t bother me anymore.”
“What are you saying?”
“I’m saying family and friends know. Can I show off the woman I love to the world?” You wrapped your legs around his waist and pulled him in front of you, his head cocking.
“Yeah,” you said. “Better late than never.”
“Okay,” he said. “For now though, I’m looking forward to this dinner.”
“I hope it goes well. It’s George and Taylor I’m more worried about. They were kids when I decided to stop coming around. I only knew them maybe two years, if even that. I know they were upset.”
“Give them some credit. Ray raised them too after all.”
“I’m all set!” said Zeppelin, walking into the bathroom with his paw patrol shirt and nothing else on.
“At least I was gonna wear underwear,” chuckled Jensen. “Little dude. Get some undies on and shorts in the next two minutes or else…” he trailed off as he came in and hugged Jensen’s leg.
“I love you, daddy,” he said.
“I love you.”
“Can we get a giraffe now?” he asked. Jensen rolled his eyes and you released him.
“Let’s go finish getting you dressed, buddy.”
“So you guys were Sarah’s fosters?” asked Jensen towards the end of dinner, all three kids passed out asleep in the stroller or on the bench besides you while you picked at your shared dessert. Neither George or Taylor had said much aside from introducing themselves.
“Guys,” said Ray, nudging Taylor. “I’m sorry for our children’s rudeness. I was afraid of this.”
“Shut up,” they both said, Sarah sighing.
“The kids were both big fans of Supernatural. They grew up watching it with me. It was something we bonded over at first in fact,” she said.
“Oh,” said Jensen, a smirk forming on his face. “Sam or Dean girls? George come on buddy, it’s okay.”
“This isn’t happening,” said Taylor, her eyes squeezed shut.
“So you guys don’t want to hear about the movie, gotcha,” he said, both of them snapping their heads up.
“He really is a dork,” you said.
“Movie?” asked George.
“Someday. You can count on it,” said Jensen. “Maybe I’ll go easy on you guys and ask what mom was?”
“You boys are a little young for my tastes but honestly the guy who played John was very attractive,” she said.
“Even I’d hit that,” said Ray, Sarah laughing to herself.
“You can see Ray wins his ladies over with his charm,” you said, glancing at Taylor and George. “Like you guys could literally ask anything you ever wanted about the show and get an unfiltered answer if you want.”
“Did you really keep the car?” asked George. Jensen nodded and held up his finger.
“When we’re back in town, you guys come over and you can take a spin in it,” he said.
“Okay, he’s cool with me,” said George. You cocked your head and he smiled. “That was the car from the show I always told you about.”
“Oh. I thought you were talking about batman or something,” you said, pursing your lips. “Sorry I wasn’t…”
“You always sucked at pretending to be happy,” said Taylor. You looked down and nodded. “We get it. You had to do your own thing.”
“Don’t hate me for leaving?”
“Maybe when we were little,” she said. “But we’re older and we get that you probably felt like a fifth wheel.”
“Yeah. A lot really,” you said. “It worked out though.”
“She’s a Dean girl by the way,” said Ray, cracking up as Taylor whacked his arm.
“Dad! Oh my God no I’m not! I like Sam!” she said.
“Want to talk to him?” grinned Jensen. Her face went red and you heard a quiet chuckle at the table. “You’re right, we’ll save that for in person.”
“You basically are marrying Dean Winchester without like, the trauma,” she said. Jensen tensed up but kept a smile on his face. You knew Ray caught it when he gave him a simple nod.
“Trauma’s not inherently bad,” said Ray. “Everyone at this table has gone through some.”
“I know, dad,” she said quietly. She looked at George and he nodded. “Our parents were in a house fire. So were we. I was five and Georgie was four.”
“She carried him out and went next door for help,” you said.
“I was in a car accident last year,” said Jensen. You turned your head. It wasn’t public knowledge that he was in the car. He’d flat out told you that aside from family and a few friends, no one besides you knew. “I almost died. My wife did but for other reasons. You can still have trauma and a really good life.”
“Very good point, Jensen,” said Ray. “You two rugrats wouldn’t be around if mom and I had moped around in our misery forever.”
“Was he always such a sap?” asked George.
“From the day I met him,” you said, Jensen grabbing your hand under the table. “Would you mind watching the kids for a second?”
“Not at all,” he said. You excused yourself and brought Jensen along with you, walking out to the beach area, the breeze cool but light.
“You alright?”
“Yeah. I can talk about it now. I went from having the worst year of my life to one of the best. Nothing bad’s gonna happen for saying what really happened. I want to let all that shit go and have the rest of that really good life I was talking about.”
“For someone who keeps a lot inside I sure have noticed a difference in you the past few weeks.”
“To quote both of the loves of my life, I gotta let that shit out more regularly,” he said. You smiled and wrapped your arms over his shoulders, giving him a kiss.
“You know that’s what we call growth, babe.”
“I very easily could have gone the opposite way this year.”
“But you didn’t, cause you tried even though it sucks sometimes. I love you but I extra love happy you and you’re definitely a happier guy now than when I met you.”
“So are you, honey,” he said. “Must make a pretty good team or something.”
“Oh yeah, maybe that’s it.”
“We should honestly get like, married or something, you know?” he teased.
“First I have to know though, are you willing to do cookie cake for a wedding cake?”
“I’m willing to make that sacrifice,” he said. “The real questions is, are you willing to deal with the eventual dad bod that will happen as a result?”
“I love this bod, but I don’t love you for this bod,” you said.
“Thank you for today,” he said softly.
“I have no idea what you’re talking about,” you said. He grinned and kissed your cheek, hugging you tightly. “What are best friends for?”
“Everything?”
“Hell yeah they are Ackles.”
Grady's Homecoming
Tumblr media
“Grady! You always talk about bein’ fucked. Fuckin’ all ‘ese German women, you got a woman waitin’ for you?” Bible’s voice crackles through the headset.
Grady’s mind travels to you. You were at home in Arkansas, probably keeping the farm afloat while he fought for your safety. He played the ladies’ man role well these days, because he never wanted anyone to know about you; to hurt you.
“Grady Paul Travis! Git over here!” you shouted as you chased him through the yard. He remembered this memory well; you chasing him around with a wooden spoon in your hand.
“That’s a mighty fine pie, ma’am!” He shouted to egg you on, begging you to keep chasing him. His path lead you through the yard, over a couple fences into muddy, sloppy pens and finally into the barn where he hid from you.
“Grady, hunny, come on out. I ain’t gonna hurt ya.” You called, looking over the hay bales. He had watched you creep through that barn with that spoon at the ready. When he finally could land, he dropped from the hay loft and rolled you into a straw bale. You screeched and smacked his back with that wooden spoon, but he just roared with laughter.
“You make the best pecan pies, my beautiful lady. You also make the best wife.” He smiled, kissed your cheek with a loving smile.
“Yer damn right I do, Grady Paul Travis. You had to stick your grubby little paws into my pie.” You had hissed, letting him pepper your face with kisses as he rolled to keep you from being stabbed with straw. “Hunny? I love you.” You drawled, putting down the spoon on the bench and laying across his body fully.
“I love you too, baby.” He cooed, kissing your face and hugging you against him as his lips got lost with yours on a grand adventure that lead to his dirty, oil covered hands sliding up into your work gown and massaging your breasts. You careened into him and gripped his curls tight in your fists.
“Grady! Grady get down! Jesus christ!” Bible’s voice brings back from his daydream and he ducks hard into the tank.
“Grady are you with us now?” Don shouts, grabbing his coat collar.
“Ye-yeah. Yeah sorry.” He coughs, tears almost spilling over his cheeks.
“Grady, you okay buddy?” Norman calls, looking up at the Coon-Ass with a sad, sorry look in his eyes.
“Yeah, I’m fine, dammit.” He barks, scrubbing away the tears.
Once they get into the crossroads, Grady and Norman head into the building near there and search for parts.
“Grady, listen. Whatever happened back there--” he grabs Norman around the neck and drives him against the wall.
“Nothing happened.” He spits through his clenched teeth. Raising his hands up, Grady lets go and heads to keep looking. “I do got a lady back home. I try not to think about her because she fucks me up. But yeah, she’s my world. I’m sorry you lost your German girl back there, I really am. If I could 'a saved her I woulda. But I couldn’t.” He offers, toeing at the dirt.
“Thanks Grady.” He huffs, deflating the breath he’d been holding.
“Don’t thanks me. I ain’t do nothin’.” He shakes his head as he turns and starts out the door.
After the dust and blood settled, troops came to the Fury team’s rescue. Not single Fury member was dead, wounded, yes. But dead? No. It was a miracle and Bible babbled about it the whole way back as the troopers told them they were heroes. Grady didn’t care to feel like a hero, he hurt and he was ready to see his lady. It’d been a long four years, a few letters, but a long time since he’d seen your face.
“You guys are gettin’ patched up and sent home. You can’t fight in the shape you’re in.” The man had said. Tears filled Grady’s eyes then, as he knew he’d get to see you.
“A broke wing and pure heart, Mister Ass, you get to go home and find you some American ass, aye?” Don cheers, and Grady just nods, giving a wave to him.
“I’mma go home an’ kiss my woman hard and fuck ‘er hard too.” The three men from the Fury, Don, Bible, and Gordo, all looked to Grady with wide eyes.
“Your woman?” Bible asks, looking to his best friend with shock.
“Yeah. I’m a taken man, Boyd.” He chuckles, patting the man on the knee.
“So all this talk about fuckin’ these German women, and you never fucked one did ya?” He asks, punching him in the shoulder. Grady only shakes his head.
The men board the air carrier that flew them into the depths hell and they all hoop and holler as they lift into the air.
“They say the war’s all but done anymore. You boys did a hell of a job out there.” The pilot talks over the intercom as they fly over open water.
“I can’t wait to take a fuckin’ shower.”
“I can’t wait to sleep in a bed.”
“I can’t wait to find me a woman.”
“I can’t wait to see my woman.”
Each man had a different dream, but all the same, they all were excited to go home.
“Wardaddy, Gordo, Coon-Ass, War Machine, I never wanna hear those names again.” Bible cheers as the plane gets close to landing. Women, children, and even men waited cheering as the plane dropped to the ground. The five Fury survivors of war hug tightly, and go their separate ways.
“Grady Paul Travis? Have you seen him? He’s tall, busted up crooked nose, cute, dumb smile, have you seen him? They told me he’d be on this flight.” Bible’s head whips around and his eyes lock with Grady’s as the woman shoves a photo into Bible’s face. He’s sees Bible’s finger point to him and he ducks, his heart racing. He hadn’t seen you in four years, he didn’t even think you’d be here, but he heard you calling for him. When you come around the corner where Bible had pointed you, you don’t see anyone you recognize until you see the man of your dreams rise to his feet above the crowd and you give a screech, letting into a dead run through the crowd, across the lot and springing into his arms.
“Even with a busted wing, he caught her.” Don chuckles to the crew, watching on for a moment as Mister Ass himself sinks to the ground holding this petite little woman against his big, blocky frame like she was the last ass he’d ever see.
“Wow, crazy huh?” Gordo states, his hispanic accent poking through. “Mister Ass had a girlfriend this whole time. They watch a moment longer as she slides a ring from her neck onto his finger.
“I’ll be damned. Mister Ass is a married man.” Bible laughs.
No closer as you got in the door, Grady was driving you into the couch, tugging off your dress as fast as he could.
“I promise, slow later, baby. But fast now.” He grunts, shimmying from his pants. Grabbing his throbbing cock, he gives you a sweet smile and you nod, nails digging into his shoulders as you wiggle your hips closer to him. He slides into you and and rams in deep.
“Grady!” You shriek, nails digging harder into his shoulders as he fucks you hard against the sofa.
“Yes baby. I love you. I love you. I love you. I mis’d ya so much. Shit baby, yes.” He grunts, feeling himself twitch inside you as your walls constrict around his cock.
“Grady. Grady, yes. Please.. I’m so close. C’mon baby.” You encourage, ramming your hips up to meet his in sloppy thrusts. He leans down, hugging you tight against him as his thrusts get sloppier.
“I love you.” He sobs, cumming as you roll your hips into his once more, orgasming blissfully in his cock. He grabs you tight, holding you against him as he sobs hard against you. “I’m so sorry, baby. I’ll never leave you again.” He assures, his cock still in you as his arms grip tight against you so hard you gasp for breath. You love every minute of him holding you, pressing infinite kisses to your bare skin as he holds you.
“I love you too, Grady. I love you, baby. I love you.” You whisper, gripping his arms.
(Inspired by “Hayloft” by Mother Mother, though that’ll really only be one chapter later on so I don’t know if it really counts…)
Warnings: Abuse, drunkenness, misogyny, reader’s mother is dead, decapitating a chicken, reader is kind of emotional in this chapter
Word Count: 4.2k
A/N: My first slow(er) burn fic! Let me know what you think!
Part 1
_____________________
Work had passed fairly quickly as it always did when you had the opening shift. It sure sucked having to arrive at five o’clock in the morning but at least you got off earlier and you knew that that way you could grab groceries before your father got home and could yell at you about an empty kitchen again. By two o’clock in the afternoon, you were home again, hopping out of your truck and grabbing as many bags as you could in one go.
The loud sound of metal slamming against metal shook you and you flinched, looking between your door and the frame to see Arvin walking out towards you. It hadn’t occurred to you that his car was even in your driveway. After so many years of having busted broken down old cars sitting there that your dad had been swearing he’d fix for almost ten years, cars in the driveway seemed normal. “Let me give you a hand,” he offered as he got closer, lifting the canvas bags from your hands before you could object.
“Oh!” You exclaimed as you felt the weight suddenly taken off your own arms, “Thank you.” You dove back into the truck to grab the last two bags before slamming it shut with your hips. The two of you began your stroll towards the front door, the dirt driveway kicking up around your feet. “You’re back early.” You noted, looking over at Arvin.
He shrugged, “Yeah, uh, Wallace had me on the early shift today.”
You fumbled with the bags as you tried to unlock the door, kicking it open with your toes when it finally gave in. You walked into your home and Arvin followed, closing the door behind him. “Been here long? I didn’t see you in the driveway.”
“Not too long. I just didn’t want to let myself into your home without nobody there.” Arvin set the bags on the counter next to where you set yours.
You began to unpack the bags and put the groceries in the respective places. Arvin watched off to the side, unsure of how your kitchen was organized so he was worried he’d do more than good if he stepped in. “My daddy got the late shift?”
Arvin shook his head, noticing that his beat up old hat was still on his head despite being indoors and took it off immediately, his tousled brown curls parting messily down the middle. “No, we went in at the same time. He ‘n some buddies said they was goin’ to some bar in town.”
He watched your shoulders fall a little and you sighed, “Figures…. You didn’t go?”
Again, Arvin shook his head, “No. No offense to your daddy but I don’t like to drink the way I get the feelin’ he does.”
You snorted, turning to him with a knowing chuckle, “Let’s just say that I’m sorry in advance for whatever he says or does when he gets home, if he gets home. Sheriff Pike might end up callin’ in the mornin’ tellin’ us to pick him up.” Though it was stated as a joke, Arvin could hear the tragic reality behind your words.
Arvin then noticed the pack of beer bottles that you were pulling out of the bag. As if you could feel his eyes looking at you with worried curiosity, you glanced over at him, noticing the way his eyes flicked between you and the beer in your hands. You offered a sad shrug, “I know what you’re thinkin’ but trust me. Sometimes it’s better to have him drunk and possibly content than sober and angry there’s nothing to drink. Besides, the beer is better than the hard stuff with ‘im.”
“‘M sorry. I didn’t mean to be makin’ faces. Your business is your business,” Arvin backpedalled, giving you an apologetic nod.
You shook your head, “Don’t worry. I know how it looks. I’m sorry you gotta see all of it. I been tryin’ to keep to keep him calm but if you end up stayin’ a while, I’m sure you’ll get to see him at his worse times.”
Arvin chewed his lip as he contemplated whether or not to bring up what had been going through his mind but he had to make sure you were alright. “I-I heard you ‘n your dad talkin’ last night… right after you left my room.”
Your face fell as you realized what he was talking about, “You weren’t s’posed to hear that. I’m sorry.” Shit, this was what you were hoping to avoid.
“Are you alright?”
Gentle. Caring. His tone was something that had been long lost to you in this house and it took the words out of your mouth for a moment. It was embarrassing, the way your heart welled up with… well love wasn’t quite the right word but the warmth of being cared about. Not since after your mother had passed had you heard somebody actually care about how you felt.
You just nodded and gave a forced smile that you could tell was easy to see through but it was the best you could muster. For someone who was able to take so much shit from their father and was able to look the man who would throw things at you and grab you by the hair dead in the eye with nothing but contempt, it was compassion that made you crumble. It had been so unexpected, especially from Arvin, the stranger living in your house.
“Shit, ‘m sorry! I didn’t mean to - I didn’t mean to overstep. I only…” He stammered over his words and at first you were confused until you felt the single hot tear tracing its way down your cheek.
You were quick to wipe it away, shocked at your own uncharacteristic show of vulnerability. You hadn’t realized until now that you had zoned out on the ground while Arvin’s words repeated in your head but now a flash of embarrassment ran through you. “No, no, no. I’m sorry. I don’t know what’s wrong with me.” You sniffled once before giving a small laugh of disbelief. “It’s just… It’s been a long time since anybody asked that.”
You straightened up and ran your hands through your hair, eyes closed as you thought of what else you needed to do. Thankfully, if your dad was at the bar, you had at least another four hours to just you and Arvin, all night if you were lucky, though you seldom were. That was when the feeling of dread set in. Your dad had requested chicken roast for dinner tonight and whether he came home early and only a few beers in or you had to drive him home hungover in the morning, the man would be furious if there weren’t at least reheated leftovers for him. You had to kill Patty and prep her for dinner.
“You okay?” Arvin asked again, though this time it was in reference to the way a heavy look fell over your features. It wasn’t a profound deep question like it was earlier.
Your head wavered from side to side and your lips twisted, “My daddy asked for chicken roast tonight. I gotta go out and fix Patty up.” You tried to put it lightly though it felt anything but. “I’ll be out in the coop. You’re more than welcome to clean up in the shower or do whatever you’d like ‘round the house. The radio is in the livin’ room if you wanna tune into somethin’.”
You pushed yourself off the counter and walked to the door in your kitchen that led out to the backyard but Arvin made a few steps to follow, “Is it alright if I keep you company? It don’t feel right bein’ in your house without you or your daddy here.”
You smiled at the thought of him staying with you and you nodded, continuing out the door, “Sure, c’mon.”
The hen house wasn’t very far from the back door. From there, you could see the several acres of land that your father was wasting. Your grandparents had bought this land in the late 1910’s and had started up a little farm of their own to sell locally, though your father had abandoned the farming portion after they died. It was where your daddy had grown up and then where you had as well. God, how you missed your grandparents. Your grandmother’s soft words of love and kindness but sternness and willingness to swat your butt with a wooden spoon if you got an attitude (though she would yell at your father if he ever tried to discipline you - “Now you leave that poor baby alone!”). Your grandfather had looked like a rough and angry old man from years of hard work but he had the softest heart of anyone you’d ever met. How the two of them had raised your father was beyond you.
When you approached the wired fence and jiggled the lock open, the chickens inside stood surprisingly still. They trusted you. You could see it in their little brown eyes. You were safe and warm and didn’t want to harm them. You came in for the unfertilized eggs they laid and left, oftentimes with some seed and a soft pat or two on the head. Patty, a fat white hen with black specks, walked comfortably around your feet, nuzzling her head against your leg. She was the nicest hen you’d ever had. She trusted you.
God, you were about to cry again. You bent down to pick her up and you held her against your chest, trying to look her in the eye, though it was difficult when she kept jerking it in different directions. “I can’t tell you how sorry I am,” you murmured low. Usually it was your father that would slaughter the hens if he really wanted the meat that badly. You had never done it yourself but he’d made you watch every time so that you knew how if the time ever came. Each time it made you sick to your stomach.
Already, you felt green. The unassuming hen that you had been friendly enough to for her not flip out when you held her was none the wiser that her life was about to end by your hand. You glanced over to the large wood round just ahead and the axe that was leaned up against it.
Your face contorted as you realized how much you disliked the placement. The way your father would slaughter chickens right in front of their friends made your heart break. It was barbaric.
You walked over to Arvin and held Patty out towards him, “Would you mind holdin’ onto her for a second?”
Though visibly confused, he took the chicken from your hands, drawing back when her wings fluttered out at the contact with the new strange man. Arvin watched as you walked towards the large round and tried to push it with all your might. “What’re you doin’?”
“I’m-” you grunted, feeling it slide slowly, inch by inch, “trying to move it where the other chickens can’t see.” You took another moment to use all your force against it before standing up straight and breathing heavily, “I know it sounds dumb cause they’re only chickens but it feels cruel to make ‘em watch, y’know?” You went back to pushing the round and Arvin approached behind you.
From here he could see the blood stains in the wood. It looked as if the blood had been washed off but the wood had been stained crimson regardless. There was also a divot where an axe had clearly been driven down many times over the years, chipping away at the wood.
Arvin’s heart actually warmed a little at your attempt to show mercy and your willingness to go out of your way to spare some chickens’ feelings. It wasn’t something he was sure he’d do himself but when he heard you say it, he realized you had a point. It was cruel to imprison a bunch of animals and then lead them out one by one to be slaughtered in front of everyone, each animal waiting their turn. “Here, take ‘er back. Let me.” Arvin stepped in, handing Patty back over to you and bending down to lift the round onto its side with much effort. The wood had to weigh at least a hundred pounds and had long since settled into the ground where it had been placed when you were a child.
Your eyes widened as you watched his biceps bulge, straining the material of his blue t-shirt. You’d never seen a man with muscles like that before and you found your eyes trailing along his arms, following every popping vein from the tops of his hands, up his forearms, and onto his biceps until they disappeared beneath his shirt. It was something you hadn’t expected to see in him. Arvin looked like a quiet, polite, hardworking young man but you never would have imagined the immaculate muscles he possessed. You found your mind wandering to what other surprises laid in store beneath all those layers he wo-
You needed to calm yourself down. If only he could hear your thoughts, he surely would be furious and disgusted with you. You hadn’t had such impure thoughts since that one time you had been messing around with Jimmy Bates in the backseat of his old car back in your senior year of high school. The two of you didn’t even go all the way but you went far enough and the guilt ate you alive since the two of you were never officially together anyways. He was just the cute boy from high school that you had pined over years that had finally given you the chance right before he shipped off to join the war.
“This alright?” Arvin asked, shaking you from your fantasy, and you snapped back into reality to realize he had rolled the wood round around the side of the coop behind the wooden wall, outside of the other chickens’ views.
You nodded and walked over to him, “That’s perfect. Thank you so much for doin’ that. I know it’s sorta stupid.”
Arvin shook his head, putting his hands on his hips, “If it means somethin’ to you, it ain’t stupid at all. Besides, now that you pointed it out, it was a little barbaric.”
You smiled up at him, one which he returned. How was this boy so damn nice? Was this some cosmic way of the universe finally giving you something good in your life? You’d become so calloused to your father’s harsh words and barked commands that you had forgotten how nice it was to feel cared about and validated. And you barely knew him.
“‘M glad you think so.” You looked down at Patty in your arms and any good feelings you’d had melted to sadness and fear. “You been a good girl, Patty. I know you struggled with layin’ eggs for a while but you were always a good girl. Never bit me once unlike some of them other hens.” You weren’t often very soft and vulnerable but you were about to take something’s life for the first time and you couldn’t help but feel the weight of that on your heart. If this were a life or death situation, you would feel better about it, but it wasn’t. The only reason Patty had to die was because your father would throw a fit if she didn’t.
You carried her to the log and gave her a little kiss on the top of the head, “Please don’t hate me but I understand if you do. Say hi to my momma for me, will you? Tell her I love and miss her.” You set her down and got her in the position you always saw your dad put the other chickens in before he chopped their heads off. Arvin handed you the axe with uncertainty but watched on as you struggled to bring yourself to finish the deed.
You held her down and you could tell by the way she was flailing that she was panicking now. Patty was well aware of what was happening. “I’m sorry!” You choked, tears welling up in your eyes as her panic began to turn into your own panic. How did people do this? Why was this so freaking difficult?
Tossing the axe slightly in your hand, you readjusted the handle and just as you went to swing, Arvin piped up, “I can do it.”
You looked over at him, the afternoon sun reflecting the tears in your eyes and making the color of your irises stand out in tragic beauty. “I-I- Would you really not mind?” You breathed out in relief.
Arvin stepped forward and you handed the axe out to him, “I don’t mind.” You held onto Patty until Arvin could position her just right as well. He had no idea what he was doing - he’d never had to slaughter a chicken before. He had heard that all you had to do was cut their head off though and then he’d heard the rumors of them running around like crazy even after their head hit the ground. How hard could it be?
Once he had the hen pinned down where he wanted her, he looked up to see you chewing on your thumb, brows knitted in discomfort. It wasn’t the first chicken you’d watched get slaughtered but it was far from something you enjoyed observing. Arvin signaled to you with a nod before raising the axe above his head and you shut your eyes tight, flinching at the sound of the old metal head thudding into the old wood.
**
You had the carcass sitting in the sink while you pulled off the blood soaked feathers, depositing them into the trash bin by the handful. This part was easier for you, something you’d done many times in the past. “Thank you for doin’ that. I’m sorry I’m such a baby.”
Arvin sat at the kitchen table behind you, “You ain’t a baby just cause you don’t like to kill things. I’d say it’s probably rather normal.”
The time was inching closer to four o’clock now and the sun was beginning to hang ever so slightly lower in the sky, the precursor to sunset. It was warm outside and a cool spring breeze blew in through the open window above the sink. You snickered as you pulled another handful of feathers out, “Yeah? That mean you ain’t normal?” You looked over at him with a playful glint in your eye but your smile fell when you saw an uncomfortable look cross his face, almost like he’d seen a ghost.
“I ain’t never said I liked killin’ either.” Arvin attempted to match your joking tone but it was pretty evident there was a weight behind his words.
“Hey, I‘m sorry. I was only jokin’.” A pang of guilt washed over you but it was only that. A joke. You hadn’t imagined teasing him over something like killing a chicken would set him off, especially since he volunteered to do it for you, but apparently you were wrong.
Arvin sniffed and scratched his nose, “I know.” After a moment of awkward silence, he stood, “Let me give you a hand. What do you need done?”
You scanned his face once more to make sure he was really okay but you decided to drop it when you saw his insistent look. You shook your head, “I got it. It ain’t much after I get this all gutted and cleaned.” You picked up the mostly featherless carcass by the wings and plopped it back down into the sink.
“Well ‘m sure there’s vegetables or somethin’ else that goes with it, right? Let me start cuttin’ those up.” His persistence was adorable, making your heart flutter in the most wonderful way. The idea of a man actually being helpful was unknown to you before Arvin. Your life had been filled with your dad’s drunken bossings since you were twelve years old. You couldn’t remember the last time a genuinely kind voice offered you anything more than a smile on the street, not that you took that for granted. Arvin was just different though. Noble and helpful and kind.
“You really don’t have to-”
“Yeah, you keep sayin’ that but I really do want to help. So what can I do to make things easier on you?” He took a few steps closer to you until you felt the beginning of what could have been sparks if he stepped any nearer, like when you hold two magnets a few inches apart and you can feel the energy between them, that hint of attraction, but it’s not quite close enough to pull them together.
The blush in your cheeks at his simple gesture made you break the eye contact with a nervous laugh of retreat, “Okay, fine. If you’re gonna be so insistent,” you drew out with a teasing drawl, “you can cut up veggies. There’s potatoes over there and carrots and zucchini in the fridge.”
Arvin’s lips turned up in a small smile when you finally resigned your stubborn ways and he went off to find the vegetables where you had directed him.
Needless to say, when your father came home from the bar to find you and Arvin talking over a song by the Platters playing on the radio with Arvin cleaning up the dishes while you tossed together the vegetables and the seasoning, he was less than pleased.
“What the hell is going on here?” His slurred speech made your eyes widen in fear. He was supposed to get home later like he always did. But then you found yourself chiding your irresponsibility. Why the hell would you take that chance? You knew better than to let Arvin help out and now you were gonna pay.
Arvin sensed the way you tensed up beside him and watched as you spun around to face your father with haste, “Just finishin’ up dinner now. Should be ready by six so you got more than enough time to take a sho-”
“Why the fuck is he doin’ the dishes?” You father was leaning against the wall, clearly relying on the structure for support. This wasn’t the time to test him, not with Arvin here. It was times like this when he’d start throwing stuff at you.
Before you could say anything, Arvin piped up firmly but respectfully, “I offered, sir. It’s no problem at all.”
Your dad pointed at Arvin, “A man ain’t got no place with his hands in a sink of dishes. You leave that shit to her and she’ll just grab you a beer.” He stumbled over his own feet before catching himself ungracefully.
Arvin’s jaw set tightly and you gripped the countertop with white knuckles behind you. Times like this, you weren’t even sure what to say anymore. No amount of standing up for yourself got you anywhere with him. You never made any headway with your dad’s sexist views on gender roles. It was pointless. The only thing to do was try and work your way to supporting yourself so you could get the hell out of dodge and never look back.
Arvin’s voice surprised you, “A man’s place is helpin’ out the women in his life when they need, not leavin’ ‘em to do all the housework themselves.” You nearly choked on your own tongue at his words. It was a bold statement for a man to make, especially to the head of the house that was being so gracious as to host him free of charge, but he didn’t back down. It appeared like the jab was lost on your drunken father but Arvin continued with a slightly less accusatory comment to diffuse the situation regardless, “I grew up helpin’ my grandma with all the house chores so I really don’t mind at all.”
You watched the way your dad eyed Arvin and then you before scoffing and grumbling incoherently as he shuffled his way into the living room. You let out a breath you hadn’t realized you’d been holding. “I don’t want you gettin’ kicked out ‘cause of me. You didn’t have to say nothin’.”
Arvin glared at where your father had disappeared and nodded, “Yeah, I did. You don’t deserve all the shit he gives you.”
You suddenly found yourself avoiding his eyes and twisting your lips. He was right and you were well aware of that fact. The abuse your dad put you through was uncalled for at best. The fact that Arvin had actually taken the time to not only notice the same fact but acknowledge it and stand up for you was something you never thought you’d hear someone do. It made you uncomfortable. You’d been fighting this battle by yourself for so long that letting somebody even know it was being waged was enough to make you want to sink away. Even so, a part of you wanted to let Arvin keep standing up for you. It made you feel weak after having to stand up for yourself for so long but also validated.
Your eyes flicked up to meet his for only a moment before turning back towards dinner that sat in a roasting pan on the stove, “Thank you.”
“How do I look?” X Thomas
Thomas had less then ten minutes left before going on stage and to say he was panicking was an understatement.
With fresh tears running down his face, ruining his makeup once more, he walked anxiously around the room.
Today was supposed to be a good day. He was going to bring his girlfriend to one of the band’s gigs, then take her to dinner and perhaps get lucky later on… but all that changed when he arrived to her place to pick her up. Noticing a mysterious car in the driveway, he couldn’t help but think about hundreds of different things that could have happened.
Wearily opening the door and peaking his head through, he saw his girlfriend’s dress thrown on the floor, together with some dude’s shirt.
His blood started boiling as he angrily stomped up the stairs, heading straight for her room.
Almost busting the door down, he saw the two of them cuddled in her bed.
“Cazzo, go fuck yourself!” He muttered in a disgusted tone, as his girlfriend’s eyes widened and she quickly tried to get out of bed.
“Thomas! Wait please!” She screamed after him, but he had already made his way to the car, shutting the door forcefully and leaving.
The memories all struck him once more as he found himself crouched in the corner of a dressing room, as the others looked for him in a frenzy.
He had hundreds of missed calls and messages on his phone, none of which he was interested in answering.
Suddenly, he heard a soft nock on the door, and did his best to wipe away the tears.
“Thomas, amore, every-“ y/n’s eyes widened seeing him in such a condition. She almost ran to him and enveloped him in the warmest hug.
“Vafanculo, Amore, what happened?” She asked him, voice full of concern, as she pressed a small kiss to his forehead.
Thomas’s lip started to tremble as he hid his head in the crook of y/n’s neck.
He started weeping again and holding her tightly, praying it would make him disappear.
“She cheated on me!” He let out in between sobs, Y/n’s heart breaking the moment he said that.
“Oh that bitch. She wasn’t any good anyway. I heard you two. I thought I had lost my hearing.”
Thomas snorted at her comment, smiling reluctantly, before leaning down against the wall and taking a seat on the cluttered floor.
“You might think I’m joking but I’m actually serious.” Y/n deadpanned, making him burst out laughing.
“Here’s my proposal amore, we get you dressed, only to have you take off half of your clothes on stage, you put on a bomb ass show like you always do, and then we go to egg her car and house.” Y/n had a shit-eating grin on her face as she said that.
Thomas rolled his red, puffy eyes and looked at her, before sending an angelic smile her way, despite feeling crushed.
“Okay. So the rest of the band is wearing black and mesh and garters and makeup and…” Y/n rambled on, getting lost in all the details while she wandered around the room, picking up a thing or two.
Thomas couldn’t help but stare at her. Her soft, beautiful body bending and turning as she fumbled around maniacally. She always wore a silver necklace around her neck, with angel wings.
He was with her when they bought it. They were walking around the streets of Rome on a mild, spring day. Y/n had noticed a small boutique next to a pizza shop, and suggested taking a look at what they sold. The second she was inside, the necklace caught her eye as if it were magic, and she immediately bought it. While they were returning home, she explained to him that her greatest dream was to fly ,and see the stars up close. Thomas couldn’t help but fell enamored at her confession, but he pushed any and all feelings away, not wanting to ruin their friendship.
“THOMAS!” He jolted as he felt her shake him, bringing him back from his thoughts.
“Oh good you’re here. Black or nude?” She asked, holding two lipsticks in her hands.
He shrugged and leaned his head backwards, closing his eyes.
Slap.
“WHAT THE FUCK?!” He screamed out, holding his burning cheek in his hand.
“Answer me.”
“You chaotic little bitch. I don’t know! Which one looks better?” He retorted, annoyed at the measures she was taking.
“Ugh you’re not helping! Everything looks amazing on you!” She immediately turned red once she realized what she had said, and quickly turned away to go look for something in the corner of the room.
“Oh really? I didn’t know that’s how you felt.” He called out to her, a cheeky smile on his face.
“TWO MINUTES!!” An angry, irritated voice shouted from the hallway.
“Cazzo!” They both muttered in unison. Y/n did a quick work of his makeup and dragged him in front of a mirror.
Thomas examined himself, looking thoroughly pleased with the outfit, before meeting her gaze in the reflection.
“How do I look?” He asked, full of vulnerability and honesty.
“Divine.” Y/n grinned while turning him around, pressing a loving kiss to his cheek and breaking apart.
“Now go break a leg, bambino.”
