AIGHT GUYS THE AU IS FINALLY DONE-

okokok, so heres what it's basically abt:

So instead of getting trapped in bubble things, all the teachers absorb differing amounts of shadow energy due to some eldritch being (not Puppet Master). Instead of focusing on the MC however, it mainly is abt the villians (order of influence) and newly corrupted teachers because I am OBSESSED with evil protags. AND HERES THE FUN PART, all the teachers have a small part of their conscience that is aware and tries to stop them from doing some pretty bad things. OH and Gale and the Puppet Master are connected (NOT A SHIP) because I fully headcannon that Puppet master is either Gale or Noot's shadow. The logic doesn't rlly follow up in cannon, but this aint cannon >:D

I'll probably write/draw this AU more, and I can't wait to explore the themes and whatnot!

Miguel definitely wants children and he wants LOTS of them. So the reader better be prepared to be pregnant constantly

The reader does return to their village! When they open the temple and find them alive, its the villages job to prepare the wedding ceremony! They will remain in their village in a palace reserved for the bride of the village's patron god (Miguel) beside the base of the temple.

so i'll start w ruth. she has three halos bc i wanted her to resemble 333 and her guardian angel stuff. as for her wings, i gave her yellow bc thats just the color i gave her (i make yellow characters suffer so much though i am so sorry to ruth DFVGBHNJ), as for her size i am just a pretty ruth advocate and beeg wings just make her look pretty <33333

for mark and cesar: mark has a halo going around his head bc i thought it would be a cool contrast to everyone else's halos! i gave him blue wings bc everyone gives him the blue color so i sacrificed my pride and gave him blue </3. as for cesar, he gets two halos bc one symbolizes his fanon death, which is him somehow either slitting his throat or stabbing it. his wings are red bc he is just so red <3333

for thatcher: he has lil tiny baby wings bc i said so. i genuinely cannot remember why i gave him tiny ass wings but here we are DCFVGBHNJ. for his halo tho i just thought itd be a cool contrast as well!!!!

for lynn and jude: their halos are intertwined to serve as irony that their marriage here is the opposite of how it was in the real world. they are cyan and indigo bc thats just the colors i have them lmao

for adam and jonah: adam's stuff is all for alternate symbolism and stuff. like him having horns, a tail, and having his wings fade to black? yeah thats just him being an alt LMAOOO. as for jonah, he doesnt have wings or a halo bc thatcher hasnt actually met him yet.

for sarah, she is represented as more of a growing angel. her barely formed halo and wings are representative of her still needing to grow up as well as more symbolism for thatcher having not met her yet.

i havent thought abt dave much but he does get a halo and wings of his own. he is very lime green colored and probably has two halos, both going over his eyes to symbolize his death. he is only seen when thatcher goes back into that world through a dream he has before waking up in catalyst.

okokok so like. since the endings technically been written, every little bit of foreshadowing / weird little tidbit / etc etc has always been intentional! everything has a build up and a drop off bc yada yada well rounded story chekovs gun u know the drill, a narrative is naturally composed of little bits and pieces

Well. i wont be the one to tell u the others, especially bc the fic isnt done yet, but i can share One (1) bc its very important to us and, that we know of, not a lot of people caught it from the recent chapter? not saying thats a Bad Thing or anything, but this particular little tidbit has been planned since before chapter 1 was written, so i want to shine some light on the attention it deserves.

That being said! cigarettes were in high demand in the 1800s. usually, everyone smoked bc. yknow. it was the 1800s and no one knew what nicotine did to the system yet, and what would a western au be without at least someone with a carton of them in their pocket?

the two scenes we’ve seen so far where they’ve been the most prominent, firstly, is with dan and spiff in chapter 14,

and the most recent chapter, (at this time, chapter 18), with dan and kevin.

Now you may find yourself asking. “yeah okay van, whats the point here. we all know sharing a cigarette is a little homoerotic and the rituals are intricate, what does this have to do with anything”

dan lights the cigarette for spiff after he asked him to do so, but dan doesn’t take the first drag— spiff does.

kevin gives dan the cigarette first thing, and goes all the way to light it for him.

its about spiff making dan do it for him, and kevin making sure dan doesn’t have to.

so I've been thinking about?? trying to write?? a botw byler au, and I was thinking about it before totk so I was thinking of it with the party as the champions, but then totk came out and the sages were there and more relevant and so I was like oh shit maybe this might need to change maybe I should ask other people would they prefer OVERWHELMING TRAGEDY AND ANGST or actual active plot contribution so I ran this poll lmao and realized while running it that I'm actually team angst but um. ok wait this is an unnecessarily long winded way of asking your opinion. you're a fic writer i admire and you like loz so which one do you think is better. angst or plot contribution

first of all i would eat up any loz au. i'm already panting and getting saliva all over this ask answer so sorry abt that. second of all i so aggressively agree w what you said abt the champions in that post you linked and i am so distraught and also upset that someone would ever disrespect them by calling them COWORKERS. third of all i'm going to make a case for both and you can either ask for further input or make a choice from that or ignore me completely 👍 i'm going to put this under a cut bc it is so long:

the thing about botw+the champions that is so just like. (gestures wildly with hands) to me is that you Know the champions but you also Don't. i know botw has received so much (undeserved imo) criticism from the way the story is told through the game -- namely, that it's optional -- but i have always said that i think it's very funny that the people who say this also praise the post-apocalyptic sandbox vibes in the same breath, as if that is not The Exact Reason botw's story is told the way it is, and a story being optional doesn't mean it's not important or impactful, BUT I DIGRESS. the thing w the champions that i love is that once upon a time, these friends meant everything to link, to the point where they literally died for him and zelda and their people and their collective shared kingdom, and he 1. also died and 2. got a second chance where they didn't. there's so much to explore from link's perspective, because he's the one who got the second chance, and then he woke up with no memory of it (a merciful spare from the grief), and then he had to relearn who all of them were, and why he loved them, and grow that love all over again, and then experience that grief in a very complicated way, because on one hand -- he doesn't fully remember everything, and so his grief might not be as impactful, but on the other, he remembers Enough to know that he loved them fiercely. very interesting to explore re: grief and guilt, bc both are very, very complicated! you then also have the juxtaposition of zelda and her guilt and her grief, because she remembers EVERYTHING, and her "failure" was the catalyst for an event so catastrophic it altered hyrule forever (i use failure loosely bc i do not think it was entirely her fault but i digress x2).

from a totk+sages perspective, Yes, you could say the sages have more personality, but that's literally bc we. actually have game time with them? that takes place in the present? lol. i think with the sages and their motivations it's broken down, for me, into three things, unranked: their people, their connection to link, and personal fulfillment. the fact that each of their regions and, essentially, their people, is being impacted by whatever phenomena is happening is enough of a motivation to make them want to be a sage. riju, sidon, and yunobo all have connections to link from the previous game, and tulin knows link well enough to have a baseline connection with him, so obviously that motivates them to want to help him and be a sage. and then there's the fact that they all, to varying degrees, need this for Themselves -- whether it be for glory or self actualization or reassurance or whatever you want to call it. i also like the idea of this being a Second Chance narrative in many regards, because it is a second chance for the imprisoning war but also a second chance for the champions, almost. to be able to rise up together and defeat a common enemy just like their ancestors were destined to do. i think there is also a desperation to totk that botw doesn't have bc botw the ending has already been decided, whereas with totk, you have a chance to save everyone -- especially zelda.

it really honestly depends on what kind of story you want to write. it depends on the messages you want conveyed and what you want byler's focus to be. for me, botw is a zelink getting together narrative (or, least, it sets up for them to -- link literally spends the entire game falling in love w zelda for the second time), whereas totk is an established relationship vibe. i think botw puts byler more center stage with the rest of the party taking more of a backseat role and totk does the opposite. i think it is maybe obvious on which of the 2 games i prefer from what i said but i say go with your gut and evaluate the takeaways you want from this fic. don't go for the angst just bc it's angst and don't go for the easy route just bc it's the easy route. think about what you want this fic to make people feel when they read it and i think the answer might come easily!!

Ray! Ray is an elite agent- however not on the team- and is a Griffin! He uses any pronouns and is gay (Non woman Loving Non woman).

He isn't good with kids or feral animals.

Ray was actually a lab experiment meant to resemble the Griffin from mythology, not to be mistaken for the villain from "Arrow of the Griffin". He'd escaped the lab when he was fully stable, but several animals were afraid of him. Humans would cause him to suffer from abuse of several kinds- Physical and Verbal- and animals would run in fear at the sight of him, causing him to always be alone- at least until Dr. Tao found him.

He has several different abilities that make him unique, such as flight and impossible speeds and agility that gives Volt a run for his money. However, like Sammy, he does need mobility accommodations- he has tremors and chronic pain in his legs, which are, on a normal day, fairly unstable, so he has a mobility aid built into his suit when needed, and compressing leg armour.

As described by his peers, he is aloof and purposely distances himself from others, careful not to make too many attachments. Because of the disdain he experienced, he chooses to never open up, never trust anyone under any circumstance, worried they would throw him out like everyone else did in his life. Despite this, he has a strong bond with Dr. Tao, always referring to him as his father and protecting him when necessary.

There is a downside to him, however- he is easily manipulated. Being shunned for most of his life caused him to be deaf to social cues / tone and never be able to tell what was genuine kindness and what was taking advantage of him. He never understood if anything was genuine or sarcastic, and that lead to, once again, more abandonment.

His willing to open up would gradually increase as he stayed with and assisted the main miniforce crew.

His primary weapon is the X sword, similarly to Sammy.

Woohoo! Rio!

Rio is a newly recruited agent transferring from a separate agency and is a Japanese bobtail cat! He uses He/They pronouns and is Bisexual.

He's terrible with everything. But he tries.

Rio has nothing special aside from his high intellect and cat instincts, but he equipped himself with a wristwatch that he uses to absorb others' abilities for his own gain. This can range from their speed to their magic.

Rio is often seen as an over-confident, egoistic and arrogant pain in the tail, but he's in fact far from it. He's quite humble, to say the least, and slightly insecure- though he hides it under his entire narcissistic fiasco.

He's not that easy to convince and is indecisive, often relying on his human assistant- Mia.

Although his persona is fake, he does subconsciously speak without thinking twice and comes off as rude because of it.

His primary weapon is the X Bow.

And now we have Hawk!

There's not much to say about Hawk. He's a former miniforce agent, and his species (of hawk) is unknown. He uses She/He pronouns and is gay (non woman loving non woman).

Hawk is literally terrible with everything, no matter what she does.

She has extremely enhanced flight, rivaling even Ray, but she was always second best to Sammy- someone who couldn't even fly- so she left the academy to do her own thing. To be better.

Not much is known about him, but he was always extremely competitive and despised being in the second place.

A!!! So glad you asked!!!! So Rodney Mallards is my interpretation of the Red Duck in Dhmis 6!

Now heres a bit of info abt him just to start you off with!! Now first off he not only is the red duck from Dhmis 6 BUT I also hc them as the duck from the Dhmis series/pilot- now it’s a whole dealio I won’t get into rn BUT in my Wakey Wakey interp HE is duck from the pilot- again I’ll get into this more another day but yeah!!! OH MY GOD. man i haven't thought abt that fic in a while!! I started it on october 25 holy shit ...

okokok so i am planning on continuing this eventually so i cant give too much info but this is the basic idea. Yes this is how all my fic planning docs look...very messy.....(under a read more bc it might get long loll)

 Paul Bigge (29) (fun fact Bigge literally means “Big and Strong'') is a blacksmith living in a small plague ridden town near the castle where his nation’s royal family lives. 

He lives by himself other than his 5yr old son Kayne, or Kay for short (which is based off of AK,, A nickname for the Fun Dead kid).. 

His wife Irene died from the plague that basically turns the infected into a zombie… yep im that uncreative… 

Kay is selectively mute due to the trauma from his mother trying to kill him, haha fun! He does speak a bit but he and Paul normally talk to each other with sign language. 

Kay has vitiligo, and a lot of the other kids in the village taunt him for the vitiligo saying his mom must have infected him as well or call him moldy :(. 

Paul is fairly well off being one of the only (and the best) black smith in the town and he has a pretty good reputation so he eventually gets hired by the royal family. 

To the village, the royal family is thriving and benevolent to them, the eldest prince (he’s like 28), Prince Patryck (ueueue see where i'm going with this…?) shows his face to the village every so often to keep morel up and help settle disputes.

Paul was charged to make a suit of armor for the prince, something for his inevitable coronation to be king. The two spend a lot of time together and become fast… ehe friends. (wink wink)

And that's where i left off in the fic! I did draw some stuff for it but i cant find it sorry!!

Witches in the woods au how did Tubbo and Ranboo meet? And does Ranboo ever just mess with people as a cat? Like, he could just cause chaos if he so desired and no one would be able to do anything because what are they gonna do to a cat

okokok tubbo was the inital inhabitant of the little house in the woods that they live in and for a while it was just him bc he'd run away from shitty witch society (or smth) and now just sticks 2 himself near a normal human town 2 keep on the down low

And it's fine! Its nice etcetc but also.. it's lonely. Theres no one else like him out there. Its just him

And s there is a metor shower one nigt and tubbo goes out to observe and during the shower something falls but its weird bc the only thing it could of come from was the meteor shower? But its clearly not a meteor bc its much too small?? And so tubbo goes 2 observe it and it is a small rock. And tubbo is like 'yk what? Sick rock i'll takr it it might be a blessing or whatevs' and so he takes the rock (He does, actually, look into what it is. Turns out its a moon rock. Crazy weird but eh maybe hes just gotten it wrong)

And life continues on as normal! until tubbo goes out to tend to hiz garden one day and when he comes back in theres a kid with split dye hair and a moon drawn onto his cheek (its ranboo) And ranboos like yooo i have a body! And tubbo is freaking out like what the fuck who are u why are you here

And ranboos like 'uhh so basically i was the rock? I think? Its blurry anyways im a moon child and im ranboo and uhh ya thx 4 keeping me safe ig?' And tubbos like holy shiitttt And for a while tubbo justs keeps ranboo around to like. Learn more abt him and teach him earth shit. He has full intentions on not... kicking ranboo out after a while persay but, for lack of a better word kicking ranboo outafter a while- not that he dislikes ranboo at all! okokok so i just. hng. i have an au idea:

jack and davey meet during davey's rebellious phase in college and fuel a Not Good Relationship. like they "love" each other but its not healthy at all. they argue, they drink and smoke and fuel each others bad habits, and it's just not beneficial at all. they break up in a moment of clarity when they realize that they just ,, aren't good for each other, and JACK is the one to break it off.

but then a few years go by, and they run into each other and they're like. Really Shocked because they're both Actual Functional adults and they like ,, go out for coffee and realize Wow, We Actually Fit Better Together Now

bc it was a very toxic relationship for the both of them (davey enabled Jack to continue with his bad coping mechanisms; jack unknowingly took advantage of davey's vulnerable Rebellious Phase and taught him his bad coping mechanisms) but when they meet up again, like. six years later, they both find that they've changed A Lot (for the better)

and when they DO end up like ,, falling for each other again, Jack is very cautious about it. he doesn't want them to fall back into their old habits, he doesn't want to accidentally hold Davey back the way he did before.

but davey immediately shutting it down because "jack, after we broke it off, i got worse before i got better. you weren't the only bad decision i made. i know what i'm doing now."

and this time, they take it slow. they relearn each other, they keep each other accountable, they support each other and help each other and love each other the way they thought they did when they were younger.

it's a mutual "Right Person, Wrong Time" situation, and thankfully, they cross paths again when the time is right.

idk if ive talked abt this on here but mob psycho 100 au‼️ jonnit as teen esper protagonist working for travis’ fake exorcism business, dref as a lingering evil(?) spirit as a result of some kind of necromantic bid for immortality, zana as the sibling whos better than jonnit at everything EXCEPT psychic stuff until dref helps her get some powers of her own, and gable as extremely powerful esper working under toichiro who i guess is the sovereign in this au? hfkhd i kind of like the idea of a skyjacks au where gable doesnt show up until like season 2. maybe grace as tome and jani as shou? idk

i imagine since jonnit and mob are pretty different characters thatd probably impact the plot in some ways. like, we know jonnit is very fast and its kind of a plot point that mob is not good at running. i feel like jonnit would be quicker to call out travis for lying to him about being a psychic? although i also like the idea that in this au travis isnt a totally normal person like reigen is, like maybe he’s got some magic stuff going on being under the thrall of some sort of powerful spirit tfq equivalent and he still doesnt have any psychic powers himself but he can get away with pretending he does more easily. i want to see travis bring a gun to a psychic battle with god.
