it’s been too long since I watched the show so I hope I’m not misremembering anything here, but shadowy is still A Part Of Venomous even after he can’t take over him, right??? Isn’t that a Whole Subplot with KO and TKO? Like, yeah, it’s implied that Shadowy somehow Physically Leaves Venomous, but that feels like such a cop-out when it happens in the same show where KO needs to learn to accept TKO instead of trying to hide him or get rid of him. But. In a world where Venomous learned to accept that part of himself. If the same thing happened to him that happened to KO, where he took on physical traits of both TKO and KO........ everyone would probably Flip Out when they saw a more-shadowy-looking Professor Venomous. It would’ve been so interesting to get to explore all of that if the show had gotten more time.

was thinking about Laserblast / Venomous again the other day and how the root of most of his problems is that he was always far too focused on the negatives. how much of a negative impact he did or how powerful enough he was to hurt people

this is very prevalent with Laserblast, along with his relationship with Silver Spark. he never believed he was enough against his enemies and considered his power beneath Spark's. he never thought about the good he was doing. just the bad. obviously, this led him dwindling down a path of lust for power. it became his only focus

this is why i think he was always meant to be a villain. after losing his powers and becoming a villain, that was his whole job and joy. hurting people and making them suffer

but this disregard for the amount of good he did still left consequences i think

a topic i keep going back to is Fink (uhm ... i lov fink). talking about Venomous as a father is hard at times because i would never say he is a bad father but he doesn't consider that he is the number one good thing in this child's life. he completely ignores this for the most part and does not teach her to maintain her feelings. considering the fact that Fink spends her whole life around the concept of negativity, she is aggressive towards anything she doesn't like. that usually means anything that isn't Venomous

Professor Venomous is the only consistent "good" person she has in her life so it's natural that she would do anything to keep that. that is why she is so hostile against everyone that may take that away from her. Boxman, K.O., Shadowy Figure. she acts this way because she is frightened and angry and Venomous does nothing to stop her from acting violent and even endorses it. that. is not healthy !!

practicing healthy communication is unheard of for Venomous. which is exactly what he needs. but parenting is hard. and so is being a child

anyway. my collective thoughts on Laserblast / Venomous focusing on their negative influence so much that it has affected his life and now his whole life revolves around that concept. so much that it gets in the way of very important things

a lot of the parts where i talk about Fink's relationship with Venomous were @nyquillionaire's thoughts when i was having green rat girl brainrot (which is all the time)

Also I like some of the things crinkly wrinkly said were true but he just made up most of his story to make it more interesting. Bc in the épisode "lad & logic" we can see lad boxman's already a grown man when mr.gar's building the plaza.

Synopsis: After a heartbreaking separation from the love of your life, Satoru Gojo, You find yourself entangled with a mysterious young man by the name of Okkotsu who always seems to have the answer to your questions and the solution to all your problems. While Gojo becomes the midnights you can't possibly outsleep, the new man in your life tries to bring in the daylight and you wonder if love deserves a second chance.

“You know, M-Mr. Okko” you try to control the drool that threatens to drip down your chin. “Men? They are vile. Foul. Loathable. Base creatures.”

“And why do you feel so, Miss Y/N?” The young, slick haired man cocks his head, waiting eagerly for an explanation about your extreme opinions. Through your blurry vision, you can make out that he is smiling at you in earnest. You hate men who smile at you. Liars.

“What’s not vile about them!” you thump your balled up fist on the bar counter, shaking up the shot glasses. The bartender throws you a dirty glance but you couldn’t care less.

“They lie. They cheat. They manipulate. They smell gross most of the day. They do gross things most of the time. Ugh, if all of them can just—”

“Alright, alright. Calm down there — ” he says, trying to steady you but you swat his hand away.

“Don't you dare tell me what to do! And do not —" you grit your teeth. “Don't you dare touch me!"

The pressure in your jaw is so intense as you let pure rage blind you. You start feeling light headed very soon and the last thing you see is twinkling blues and purples of glassware and drinks as you drown into black.

You see the blue split into two orbs that reflect the sky and your breath hitches. You reach out towards the blue with all your strength.

“Satoru…” you say softly as you feel yourself melting away at the thought of your lover.

His brilliant smile, his protective hands.

His pouty lower lip whenever you teased him.

The way he told you that you were his little flower.

And the way he held your hand tight while you explored the city, not wanting to lose each other in the crowd.

Slowly though, the vivid blue fades to an empty black.

When you finally regain your senses, you are no longer seated on the cold metal stool of some hole in the wall bar. You feel satin wrap around your body comfortably. You are still clad in the maroon mini dress you wore last night — all drenched in sweat now. The last thing you want to see is a naked man beside you and thank god, you are alone in the safety of your room — with a cloying headache attacking your temple. You try to get out of your bed and head to the washroom to wake yourself up, trying to piece together last nights events. You remember getting wasted, having a conversation with some man whose face you can't remember. Your throat is sore so you probably shouted a lot. You have no idea how you made it home though.

You eye your reflection in the mirror. Mascara everywhere. Hair clumpy and matted. Lipstick overflowing out of your lip line. You look like a piece of work.

Lemon tea. Yes. That will fix you.

You wash your face up quickly and pat it dry, walking out of your room and straight to the kitchen. The person you hate second-most in the world is standing there cooking eggs and toast, quietly. You don't care to greet her a Good Morning. In fact the kettle of water happens to land on the counter with more of a clang than you intended it to.

She jumps a little, looks at you once but then turns back.

You start humming to yourself as you put a tea bag into your cup and fill it with water.

“Um —” your flatmate begins. You turn around and cock an eyebrow at her. She tries very hard to sound apathetic but it's clear that she is scared. Scared of you. As she should.

“The guy from last night asked me to give you this.”

You place a hand on your hip while the other shakes the teabag.

“What guy?"

"The one you came with? Um.. the one who dropped you home last night?” she says but you still don't get it.

“Give me some context and help me out here, Uta.”

“Ugh!” she sighs. “Just take this. I'm running late anyway.” she hands you a piece of paper and starts on her way out of the kitchen.

“Heading over to Satoru?” you ask gingerly, sipping your tea and leaning on the counter.

“None of your business.” she looks back to let you know.

“Why isn't it my business who my boyfriend hangs out with huh?” you ask, still sipping your tea. At that she makes a really funny expression.

“Y/N, please. I am sorry Satoru didn't choose you but you have to stop believing that you guys dated. He already said he never made it official with you and doesn't see you that way.” Uta states. You can see the concern in her voice — for who, you don't know. Maybe she believes you are going crazy. Maybe you are.

“Keep telling yourself that Satoru likes you, Uta.” you say, crumpling the piece of paper in your hand. “This is temporary. He finds your hot but he'll get bored of you soon.” you smile at her.

“I am the one he loves.” you declare on your way out of the kitchen, bumping shoulders with her.

“I am the one Satoru loves.”

He doesn't love her.

S-so what if she is prettier and better liked?

I am the one who Satoru really has feelings for.

It's me. It's always been me.

He'll get bored of her soon.

Right?

Yeah, he will.

The wave of nausea hits you before you even enter your room and you take just enough leaps to make it to the toilet bowl in time.

You retch out in the bowl, your tea, the alcohol from last night and all the myriad of feelings your fostering.

It's been months now.

You need to get over it.

Satoru’s not with you anymore.

He picked her. He chose her. He wants to be with her.

No amount of beauty, talent or personality will make him pick you.

Soon enough your tears drop into the toilet as well along with your vomit.

It doesn't take long enough for you to start bawling as you hear a door open and close somewhere in the house.

As you hiccuup and your lips quiver, you slowly open up your fist to see the crumpled paper. You open it up and see faint words on it.

“Okkotsu Yuta — 4XX8388280. Thought you might need this. Call me any time.”

You would rather die than make the same mistake again.

can’t stop thinking about my headcanon for why professor venomous left after everything “just” to destroy his very own planet with fink. it *isn’t* that he doesn’t care about anyone!! it *isn’t* that he ultimately cares more about power than literally anyone else!!! The actual reasons are twofold. Yes, it’s because he’s a coward that was terrified of looking anyone in the eye after everything he did, but the Main Thing is Actually that he felt like he needed to repair his father-daughter relationship with Fink first, and he prioritized it above repairing his relationships with anyone else. So he went to a planet far away from everyone else, where he could prioritize spending time with Fink above all else. Fink had been really really missing out on spending time with him for like, the Whole Show, and feeling neglected by him (e.g. all the times he was too exhausted after shadowy taking over to spend time with her, all the times he bought her gifts to make up for not having time for her), and then venomous started dating boxman, and made her move into boxmore, so his time was even more divided up between going shadowy, doing business stuff with boxman, doing couple stuff with boxman, and her not being an only child anymore. So PV decided that making amends with fink at the same time as apologizing to everyone else wasn’t enough. He decided he needed to dedicate Every Single Second to being with fink, on a planet far enough away from everyone that he didn’t even have the Chance to have his attention pulled away from her for even a Second. He spent so much time on a planet far away from everyone just to destroy it all with fink as a way to make up for all the times he didn’t pay enough attention to her, and all the times he wasn’t a good dad to her. And yeah, leaving everyone else for so long without so much as a single conversation or apology wasn’t right of him, but he had been taking care of Fink for longer than he knew anyone else who he cared about there, and Fink must’ve appreciated getting to finally spend so much quality time with her dad boss after so long of feeling neglected. It was the best thing he could’ve done for repairing his relationship with Fink, and tbh, I think that counts for something

hey what are your thoughts on tko? personally i absolutely love the boy and think his story couldve been handled INFINITELY better. he deserves a hug so bad

Honestly the first time I watched the show I didn't like tko. Not only I didn't find him interesting, I also thought he was kinda unlikeable so I would often skip his scenes.

But after rewatching okko I realised I never actually paid attention to his character. I actually really related to him!! Tko being so emotional and misunderstood by his surrounding makes him such an interesting character to me. I love okko but I really wish the show had more serious moments so we could focus more on his feelings and development.

Flawed characters with anger-issues are so compelling to me, and i feel like Tko is such an important part of the show (bc of his connection to the main character) that it’s a shame he didn't have more focus.

He's not a real villain or even a bad person, he's just a kid with a lot of emotions who's kinda cocky and he deserved better than to be caged up :(((

Also HE DESERVES A DAMN HUG!!!((and his design’s awesome))

i’m a lot more upset over this than i thought i would be. animation doesn’t get respected and it crushes me. my heart breaks for shion takeuchi (like i’ve shed tears reading her tweet). we’ve seen sm amazing shows like infinity train, okko, toh, and now inside job just taken away in 2 seconds. a persons entire life and dreams just canceled in a heartbeat.

what gets me more is that they ordered a season two ! they made plans and had started production and now just…. poof. for what reason ?? what’s the justification for canceling it, it always got great ratings and trending.

I had an idea based on your drawing, Agent Stone whose mourning Robotnik, who in this verse is dead as Jim Carey may be retiring, befriends Amy like in your drawing but ultimately her friendship and his maybe being her guardian makes him reform.

Hi! If I’m honest, I’m not such a fan of Stone’s redemption or that sort of thing, but the idea of Stone bonding with Amy and taking care of her is nice. Maybe It’s because these are two of my favorite characters, but I like the idea a lot. In addition, found family and “single dad” tropes are the best to me, so Amy being a kind of daughter to Stone is really sweet

And I had other ideas with Amy and Stone "working" together

First, I thought his relationship a similar way of your idea but Stone is still a villain, and Amy is his assistant. Robotnik died too but Stone became his successor and Amy joins him for… some reason? I didn’t think that part too much. Anyway, I imagine their dynamic as Venomous and Fink from OKKO, that single dad and daughter thing. I think it’s just funny

Second one, my favorite and too close to the drawing I made, Stone “takes care” of Amy and makes his minion by manipulating and gaslighting her. Stone is still a kind of paternal figure except is emotionally abusive, similar to Gothel and Rapunzel from Tangled. Stone uses Amy and takes advantage of her naivety, he actually doesn’t care about her at all. He lies to her, keeps her locked up, intimidates her, hides things from her, etc., but with this big, brilliant customer service fake smile on his face. There is a skit from SNL, where Jon Hamm plays, well, Jon Hamm except is a creepy dude who kidnapped someone, pretending to be nice. He’s very passive-aggressive, even scary, that’s how I imagine Stone after reading the pre-quill comic And, yeah, that’s it. It's similar to what happens with Knuckles in the second movie lmao
