Anyway, Vander loves nicknames. Like, a lot a lot. He loves nicknames. What one's? Great question. Take a guess. He loves playing games with you and this is one of those games

If you said anything along the lines of sweetheart, love, sweetie, or honey. You'd be right. He loves using generic nicknames with you because he wants to be as domestic as possible.

He likes to feel like his life is as normal as can be despite it being absolutely the opposite of that. He loves his children, and he loves you, so why not make the most of it? At least, that's what he figures.

The wackiest shit happens sometimes. There's a real mix of interactions in his little family and we living for all of them.

His goal is to inspire them all to be the best versions of themselves and to always be kind when they're able to despite living in the meanest area around.

You are also very intertwined with his children's lives to the point where they're basically your kids as well. If you didn't want that, break up with him. He's a package deal. All or nothing.

Vander actually wants to make it official with you someday and make you stay with him and his family forever by proposing to you, but with the current state of the Undercity, he may never get to. He's a busy, busy man, trying to hold the Lanes together. Sometimes, he gets too focused on that and forgets to share his attention around when crime is really bad.

First of all, thank you for all the compliments!! You made my heart fly out of my chest but that’s okay <3 I appreciate you!

As for my shuake hcs, I think I covered a few of those on a different post but I’ll cover them again and add some more:

I like to think that they got together after the aquarium date. I think it was Akechi’s plan to lure Ren into a false sense of security by “dating him.” Even though this was part of his plan, he actually end up falling for Ren anyway (because of how lovely and sweet Ren treated him). Besides that, I think the story continues as canon until the third semester where they OBVIOUSLY get back together. They definitely kissed in the laundromat no doubt about it.

As for the little things—and Akechi doesn’t like to admit it—he loves the little touches Ren gives him. It could be holding his hand or brushing his hair behind his ear or anything of the sort. He loves it but of course he acts like he doesn’t because he’s an asshole. Ren sees through this, obviously. Ren’s smile MELTS Akechi. His face turns red every time and he has to physically remove himself from the situation in order to calm down. My mans is head over HEELS for his attic trash.

Ren enjoys everything about Akechi. The nickname he uses for him is “honey” because that’s actually canonical and I love it. Ren, of course, gets flustered by Akechi often but he’s much better at suppressing it. He flirts to no end and acts surprised when Akechi pulls the trigger (hehe) and kisses him so he’ll stop.

Let me tell you, Crow thinks Joker is soooo hot it’s like crazy how many times the PTs tell him to “keep it in his pants.” Joker takes full advantage of this and ramps up the charm to max. This usually ends with Joker and Crow branching off to “look for the next safe room.” Thank god Joker has a high collar ;)

If I think of any more I’ll edit this post because I have SO many ideas :)

You’d ignored it at first. Jackson still pined after April, you knew it, but somewhere you’d thought that maybe it’d be okay. You could survive this, and your relationship probably could have.

Until, you met Andrew DeLuca, the wunderkind intern comparatively to his fellow interns who at this point had cast him out. He’d shown an affinity for general surgery, something that didn’t surprise you with his past in EMS services, trauma surgery was just messier general surgery in your opinion and it gave Andrew a good base, thus, you’d taken him under your wing just a few months after he started his internship at the hospital.

“Jackson!” You called out to your fiance, he turned around and smiled at you as you pressed a kiss to his lips, “Stay safe, okay? If anything goes wrong while you’re at Joe’s-” He rolls his eyes, pressing a kiss to your lips, hands ghosting over your shoulders, “I’ll have the ambulance send me across the street.” He laughs a bit as you nod, “You’d better.” You whisper against his lips, kissing him one last time. He offers you one last smile as he turns around to go to Joe’s with Alex and April. You watched as he looked at her, his eyes sparkled with the way he smiled at her, it brought a twinge of jealousy to your chest. You watched him as he wrapped his arm around her shoulders when he’d thought you’d gone by now. It pained you to think that he would be with her all night. It’d be easier to blame her and you knew that, but, April couldn’t control him or how he felt towards her, and at least she was moving on with her engagement to Matthew, the wedding was tomorrow and you were going with Jackson.

You sigh, fixing your lab coat and turning around from the entrance, only to run directly into Andrew. “Oh! Oh God, Andrew, I’m so- I’m so sorry.” You said, rubbing your eyes a bit from stress and mild exhaustion. Andrew chuckles as he shakes his head, “No you’re all… Well, it’s funny because I was actually looking for you! You were telling me about that procedure you were placed on with Doctor Webber and the diabetic cure and I was actually wondering if I could help you with that? I just mean- hey, are you alright?” He watches as your eyes slowly close, and then reopen in a process that takes about 15 seconds if he wanted to time it, you nod, rubbing your eyes again as he sighs, watching you yawn and he shakes his head at you. “Hey, you’re fucking exhausted… Let me take you home to Jackson’s place?” You groan and shake your head, “I don’t want to go to Jackson’s place, Andrew. He’s busy with April doing… Whatever they’re doing at the bar.” Your words slur a bit with your exhaustion and he sighs hopelessly, “Can I at least get you set up in an on-call room? Get you something to eat? You need to take care of yourself, besides, you’re going to the wedding, yeah?” You nod at the question and his offer as he offers you his hand and a wide smile, “Alright, well then, you first, milady.” You groan at the stupid nickname, taking his hand as he leads you up the stairs and to an on-call room.

“Alright now, I have a granola bar, a banana, or some pistachios, what are you feeling right now?” He asks, rummaging through his backpack as you smile at him, “Can I have the banana?” He smiles, handing you the fruit which is perfectly ripe, he watches as you unpeel the fruit and eat it. “Now, I’m gonna leave you to get some rest, okay?” He stands there, waiting for a response from you but you shake your head, “Wait, I just can’t be alone right now, would you…” You sigh, “Would you stay with me for the night, Andrew? Not like that obviously but-” You’re cut off by Andrew, “Yes.” You smile warmly at the intern as he crawls into the small twin bed with you, he tenses for just a second as you burrow against his body, closing your eyes and quickly falling asleep.

You rushed to your apartment, but Jackson was nowhere to be found, leaving you to assume that he had an early surgery before the wedding, you’d gotten dressed in one of your favorite little black dresses, putting on a nice pair of shoes as you text Jackson, “When you’re ready, let’s head to the wedding!” You wish you didn’t have to go to this wedding but, at least after this wedding, Jackson won’t be as concerned with April and she’ll be married, then, it’ll be you and him. That’s what you want right? Andrew DeLuca was your co-worker as far as you were concerned, a resident who worked under you and you were willing to keep it that way for the sake of your engagement. Jackson walked into your apartment, slightly frenzied but you were too entranced in your thoughts to notice, he kisses you on the cheek as he changes into his suit, he seems quiet, even on the drive to the wedding, very little is said between the both of you.

When the two of you get to the wedding, you sit in the pew with the other doctors from Grey-Sloan. The air is pleasant, you smile at Jackson who mused over losing a butterfly outside from an envelope, that is until you hear the soft pluckings of violins, the crowds chatter quickly quiets down as all of the people in the church turn around to face April, in a beautiful silk gown in a soft white hue, she smiles at her soon-to-be-husband, Matthew. The priest reads off the traditional wedding runaround as April and Matthew read their vows to one another, you turn to Jackson, who looks at you with a forced smile, then turns to be deep in thought. Matthew finishes his vows and Jackson stands up, facing you with a look of pity, “I’m sorry…” Then, he turns around to face April and Matthew, you zone out anxiously, this cannot be happening, Jackson is leaving you for April at her wedding… Shit, shit, you need to get out of here. There’s something in your brain controlling you without the secondary thought of anything else, you’re moving without a second thought and someone is coming after you: Andrew DeLuca, he knocks on your car window as you watch Jackson and April in her car, kissing as they drive away.

You lower your window as Andrew looks at you sadly, “Look, I can’t help you right now with… all of that but I can be there for you? Right now?” You nod, as you unlock your car door, and Andrew climbs into the passenger's seat, “You can go to your place and pick some clothes up and then stay with me if you want?” You nod again as you put the car into drive, the tears are brimming in your eyes, and Andrew’s eyes are on you. “Hey, I can drive, just… Pull over.” You both switch seats, meeting in front of the car for just a second, he takes you into his arms, and the tears just start to fall, soaking his dress shirt as he strokes your hair, kissing your forehead. It’s too soon but, even in Andrew’s arms, you know you’ll be okay.

2. Which OC brags about a nickname they've been given?

Demi and Pea I think?? "Pea" isn't his real name, that just what his parents call him, but he absolutely loves it and always introduces himself as such!

For Demi though, his real "name" was the name of the fungus, but Sophia started calling him Demi after he started to, much to her annoyance, respond to "Subject D3M-1". She didn't want him listen in on any operations they'd be doing on him since he's either lash out or just not cooperate, so they had to switch up the name.. but he really likes being called Demiascareous (❁´◡`❁)

Not really bragging themselves, but Kisaki was all over the news referring to Tagashei as the "Mad Rabbit", he thought it was so fun and threatening!

2a. What do they find brag-worthy about it?

Pea thinks it's cute, and because his parents keep saying he's the cutest, he just stomps around the lab announcing that.. he is just a baby.

Demi never really gets over his god complex, so having a fancy name just fuels his ego more than it should...

4. Which OC gave themselves a new name at some point in their life?

Ohhhh Kisaki actually! I don't actually have his previous name figured out but it isn't important to his story or the character, he doesn't need people to know what it was anyway, he just says that person doesn't exist anymore.. which is kind of true in a way, he used to be completely different!

I guess Galvarium counts too?? She didn't have a name before connecting with Pandora, actually it was Pandora that gave her the name! This was after Galvarium got an understanding on humanity of course.

Fate wasn't always his name, he had a regular name when he was a simple mathematician! He changed his name after he became an angel, and the name stuck when he was sent to Limbo

4a. Was there anything that drew them to choosing that specific name?

For Kisaki, he kind of just went with it.. he was never too concerned about his identity as an individual, so he picked it and stuck with it!

Pandora suggested something pretty to Lady G, and since Galvarium only ever understood the world through Pandora at that point, she liked it!

Fate changed his name to that since.. he manipulates fates. And he's a very straightforward "person", so of course he went with something simple.

8. If asked to make up a bedtime story, what would your OC come up with?

Oh god okay Kisaki and Tagashei try their best at parenting but they do things very different from the conventional parenting.. ie, "teach Alice how to isolate metals and then weld them into an axe at the age of 5" or something unsafe. Anyway!

Tagashei would make his stories way too violent (probably), he'd most likely make up a story about someone kicking his aggressors into a raging fire or whatever then going home to sleep knowing that they are no longer an issue. Oh god or he's tell the Mad Rabbit origin story and freak her out.. that or if he tells it enough she gives him the "dad I want a real story >:("

Kisaki, on the other hand, would just recite lab procedures, or go off about any theories or experiments he wants to try.. science stuff!

I do think though, both of them would make up some story of a family being reunited, being safe and happy.. it's what both of them really want and are trying to achieve, and they'd want Alice to feel safe and not worry about all the things that are happening ╯︿��

Why I like them

For starters, I'm a big fan of her character archetype. IE: Evil, kind of just awful person who is actually a big sweetheart to their few loved ones. Also, she's very masc which I enjoy, it's something we don't see SUPER often in Magical Girl media. She is very handsome. You might know that I love birds too, so she gets bonus points for having a bird motif. Her power to use other people's magic reserves is pretty cool and interesting too. I think the battle where Riz had Tart take her Soul Gem outside of the range of Corbeau's power was probably one of the smartest fights I've read in a manga.

Also she's very attractive, I have type when it comes to fictional women and she's it

Why I don’t

I know she uses the serving girls she seduces into contracting to change her powers, but seriously, why did we never see her first contract/wish with Isabeau? Seriously, just a single page of flashback right before Minou kills her would have sufficed imo

That's a hard one, every scene she shows up in is a hit for me. I think the one that takes the cake though is after she routs the French at Orleans and convinces Minou and Lapin to leave things to her, she just starts singing a poem on the rampart about how the fun is about to begin. She's so fucking dramatic I love it

I think I need to go find Tenko now, to get to her before Himiko. I need to let her know what Kazuichi and I talked about. Then the Miu stuff will become a non-issue, I think.

Why did this have to happen right after we decided to ask her out?!

And I don't even know if I like Miu like that. I think, I'm just really excited to be platonic best friends with her?

As far as I know, I'm not writing more in this saga. This started out as a funny conversation in my head while I was getting groceries a few weeks ago, and every once in a while I would read this again in my drafts and write some more, but I'm ending it here for now.

Hope Miu and Himiko weren't out of character. Himiko in particular is at the point in the story where she had just broken Tenko's heart (which, Tenko took it worse in this one because of a perceived rejection from Zoey earlier), so Himiko was feeling really bad for it and thought that maybe Tenko and Zoey would get together, so Zoey liking Miu of all people instead just threw her off. She may not have a crush on Tenko, but she wanted her friend to be happy again.

I don't know if this fluttershy kin saga would be "canon" to my fanfic, but I liked writing it as if it was, and that eventually Zoey x Kazuichi x Tenko x Miu would all be together.

Hajime was quite intimidating at first glance. He was intimidating for you when you were first brought here. He was even more scary after finding out what he did as a job, mafia work. He was even the head of the mafia.

However after being with him for a bit, you actually began to fall for him. Sure, he was a little rough around the edges, but he could be really sweet with you. You felt so loved when he would kiss you then tell you he loves you before he went to a meeting to do work. You felt so loved when he would pull you closer to him when you seemed a little bit scared at night.

He didn’t seem scary to you anymore, he was loving and kind. You walk down the stairs of Hajimes mansion, looking around for him. You just felt a little touch starved, he told you he wouldn’t be to busy today so you hoped you’d be able to find him and get some cuddles. But you couldn’t seem to find him until now.

“You can’t walk up into my home, begging for another hitman after you haven’t fucking paid me back for the last time” Hajime speaks through gritted teeth. He stands in the entryway of the home with another man pinned against the wall by the collar of his shirt. “No dude, I promise I’m gonna’ pay you back! I just need this one thing!” The other man yells, seemingly trying to mask his fear.

“Then where’s the money, huh?! Cause’ I certainly don’t have it! You haven’t paid back a single damn thing, you’re lucky I let you get away with stealing from me for so long-” Hajime yells, cutting off his words when he hears someone running up the stairs. He only sees you turning the corner to go back to the bedroom.

“Shit” Hajime mumbles, realizing you saw everything. He lets go of the man, snapping his fingers for his underlings to come get the man. “Take him to the basement, I’ll deal with him later” Hajime says to his underlings before walking up the stairs to go find you.

You sit on the bed, rethinking what you saw. You knew that Hajime was an intimidating person, but when you saw him that angry he didn’t even seem like himself. That wasn’t the same man who held you in his arms after you have a nightmare, that wasn’t the same man who gave you a goodnight kiss every night.

“Hey puppy, you okay?” Hajime asks, watching your shoulders hunch at his words. You hum at his words, trying to give him the idea that you were alright but he saw straight through that. “Are you scared?” Iwazumi asks, knowing that you are scared but he still feels the need to ask you.

You stay silent that time. You’re pulled into his arms, your head resting against his chest as you bunch up his shirt in your fists. “You don’t have to be scared because I could never be mad at you” Hajime says, he can see your eyes tearing up. That practically shatters his heart. You haven’t cried about being scared since you first arrived here.

He’ll make sure to not yell in front of you, or even let you see anything related the Mafia anymore. You need to be protected.

OoT!Zelink is cute but I ship Malink more now, this is because of malinker exposure which is a serious disease but seriously malink/malinkers in general are quite wholesome and do not deserve slander!! I have seen many nasty shippers but no malink ones :)

But tbf I still like OoT Zelink? I just....like malink more. And tbh even if there "were hundreds of years" between games it just makes more sense imo

Nabsgan was always kind of dumb and has no basis in canon but it CAN be cute (looking at you GuG) but...man

I've only ever seen it in canon as potentially one-sided but now I don't really like it at all

I...have a lot. none of them are based.

But uh I headcanon most Downfall-era Links as not really speaking/unable to speak, especially ALttP Link. Also BOTW Link but only while he's on the Great Plateau, yes I know he can talk to the Old Man but haha I suck. He can't really speak too much at all initially and it tends to come out wrong so the old man just goes "screw it I'm teaching him words."

But the boy he does get a confused. The old man introduces him to shrines first so when Link finds his hut in the woods Link calls it a shrine and starts whacking the door with the Shiekah Slate like an idiot. So the old man tells him to "just open the door!" and after a few seconds of trying to figure it out Link busts in, swings the door open real wide. And that is why he does that thing he does to doors.

He also likes standing out in the rain absolutely motionless and calls his horses "Friend" as a nickname, even if they already are named. The giant horse is "big fella" though. It's apparently not like other girls. Tries to nip his hair/ears constantly, even if he's had the horse for a while. Especially the ears and sideburns. Horses really like his sideburns. They're crunchy.

So I'm guessing that it's a "under that hardened adventurer exterior he's actually very soft" kinda deal and that's fair I guess. And...granted. Despite me headcanoning him as extremely emotionally vulnerable in the beginning I also headcanon him as hanging out with thugs in the Lost Woods, so I kinda agree, I think. But imo during the beginning of the game (me, again getting into baseless fanwank) he kinda just got winded by the fact he thought his only family died and stayed in his house for like

five days in denial, until some soldiers found out where he was hiding and chased him out

By the time Agahnihm sends him to the Dark World he's better at handling himself. He's gone through the motions and he’s adjusted to living like...this. Being alone, with occasional untrustworthy companions except for a few friends in hidden places. But he’s still not unkind. He helps people stranded in the Dark World despite a lot of them being quite shifty. And yeah, he doesn’t talk much, if ever, but he tries to affirm people if he can. 

So yeah I have very baseless headcanons for him specifically during ALTTP because I haven’t played the Oracle games yet and uh :’) I just took the bunny thing and ran with it

I can see him as snarky eventually though. just. not in ALTTP.

I have just been going by my middle name my whole life (my parents idea lol) so if someone calls me by my first name it’s just cringey to me, I can’t explain it but it feels condescending when people use it for me. I love my middle name and other nickname variants of it and I don’t want to be called anything else (unless it’s a username or nickname or something)

The name itself is actually very pretty, but it’s dated and reminds me of an older person lol. It’s just not me at all.

I have thought about switching names but I just don’t have the time lol
