Some things about Nana that I didn’t add to her post but I want to talk about: Cat Behavior Addiction

First off, like a cat, Meif’wa don’t always need to speak aloud to communicate. Often they’re body language is enough to convey the way they’re feeling. Because of this it’s not uncommon for Meif’wa to go nonverbal. Because humans don’t generally understand Meif’wa body language, Nana uses sign language and teaches it to the best of her abilities to those around her.

Meif’wa are partially nocturnal, so Nana will often wake up in the middle of the night and go for a long walk to wear down her energy. Or she’ll use these wide awake hours to bake.

Meif’wa are usually pretty independent and like having their alone time, but they tend to pick a favorite person or two that they don’t usually mind being around for hours on end. Nana’s favorite people are Aphmau, Brendan (at a time) and Dante

Meif’wa hold grudges, Nana doesn’t usually hold them out of hate, but Michi does. Michi hated always being asked if she was related to Nana, so now Michi hates her. Despite never even meeting her.

Nana is known for taking almost entire days to sleep, assuming she has the day free. Girl sure can nap.

I just realized that Will didn’t get the actual gathering experience for so long. His first one was interrupted by the Kalkaras, maybe he went to the second one, but his third? His fourth? The ones where he should have been celebrating, the ones where he should have been making friends and meeting the other rangers that he could have looked up to? He was in Skandia, forgetting everything because of warmweed. He was fighting in wars, battling enemies so much larger than him, and he was doing it almost entirely alone. He didn’t get to sing songs and show the other rangers his mandola, or yell to them Greybeard Halt, for at least 4 years. He barely got the full ranger experience until he was an adult.

Spy x Family fandom hellooooooo

This thought has been on my mind for a while now but I just thought I’d put it into a post and hear your thoughts.

Ok, hear me out: Yor is Eastern European coded

This thought mostly entered my brain when the episode about her learning to cook happened, but I feel there’s a couple other factors.

Firstly from the cooking episode, Camilla pointed out that she thought people from where Yor’s family came from would add sour cream to stews. Also, the stew itself sounds like it could be a different indirect take on other Eastern/Central European foods. That was the big thing, because firstly especially people from Poland and Ukraine (and I believe also Czechia, Slovakia, and Belarus but don’t quote me) put sour cream on just about anything. But also the known ingredients.

Another thing that tips me is the name ‘Yuri’ for Yuri Briar. Yuri is a Japanese name, yes, but it’s also a pretty common masculine given name in eastern Slavic countries, and I believe other former bloc countries in general. Also? The name Anya? Ostania specifically HAS to be Eastern European/Slavic. Fr.

The other biggest thing that tips me is the fact the entire situation is literally based on the Cold War. If I’m not mistaken, Westalis and Ostania are directly based off of East and West Berlin/Germany, and eastern Germany being the (not so open) opening to the eastern bloc.

One could also say it’s their appearances ass well, with westerners usually being seen with lighter hair and lighter eyes (like Loid) and Eastern Europeans with darker hair and darker eyes. Although that’s a little reaching lol.

Anywhooooo Yor and Yuri grew up in Ostania’s countryside which could very easily be somewhere that’s rural Poland coded or SOMETHING.

modern peeta is a baker’s son who grew up, and immediately got away from his family. his mother was cruel and his father was kinder, but complacent. he started at college, studying for a bit, before leaving school. he was a cook for a while, and eventually opens his own bakery and makes incredibly detailed/decorated cakes and pastries. it’s a p small operation because I think it’s mostly him and a couple employees, but the place is well known in the area!!
