Anyways TW: Fireworks, Lucille getting nervous about new things?

Both you and Eddie were unsure of what Lucille’s reaction to fireworks would be but you both knew that it was something that you two would at least like to show her, and if she didn’t like it than that would be ok and you’d never do it again, unless she asked!

The whole day was spent picking out an outfit for Lucy, one that would be able to keep her warm if it got cool but also cool if it got to hot, and one that was decently cute. The two of you ended up getting her dressed in her little outfit and she loved it.

After both you and Eddie got dressed as well you buckled Lucille into the car seat before making your way to the fair.

But before you could go to the fair you made a stop in the park where the fireworks were. Eddie opened the side door to the van letting you and Lucille sit on the seat with you legs dangling out the door while he sat on the floor of the van watching Lucille closely.

When the first firework popped she had her head in your neck so all she heard was the sound effectively terrifying her. But thankfully Eddie helped you turn her to show her what it was before you guys could say she hated it.

A few more fireworks went off and Lucille could see the bright colors and patterns as she clapped her little hands.

Both you and Eddie let out a breath neither of you were intentionally holding.

The whole time fireworks popped, Lucille would jump at the noise but coo at the different colors that lit up the sky.

Once it was over though she threw a fit, one of her first fits, which Eddie was sure to take a photo of instead of helping you, though after he got the photo you two buckled her into her seat telling her you’d go somewhere even better next which got her to settle down.

Once arriving at the fair you watched her squirm in her car seat to get a peek at the large circle, that’s all the Ferris wheel was to her as she’d never seen one before. Both you and Eddie made sure she knew before you even got down that she couldn’t under no circumstances leave either you or Eddie’s side.

After getting the little bracelets that allow you to go on the rides Eddie crouches down to Lucille’s height, “alright sweetheart, which one do you want to go on?” She looks around looking at the merry go round.

“Horseys dada!” She tells him happily pointing to the merry go round as she bounces between the two of you.

“Do you want dada to ride with you honey?” You ask knowing damn well that Lucille will want to pick a cute horse with lots of pink and rosey details.

“Yeah!” She says as she giggles

So the two of them get in line Eddie grumbling that you could come to but you tell him that you’ll take his photos and his complaints are put out.

And just as you predicted when they get on the ride Lucy is tugging Eddie to a pretty pink horse.

You laugh as Eddie looks at you with an are you kidding me look.

At first he tries to just stand beside Lucille but she tugs on his jacket and gives him her precious puppy dog eyes and Eddie is complying before he even notices. Though he does notice the photo that you take.

Lucille almost jumps into Eddie when the merry go round begins as she tries to turn towards her dad grabbing handfuls of his jacket.

“Oh, honey” he coos softly as he makes her face the front trying to make it less scary for her.

In the end Lucille still runs off the merry go round with Eddie’s hand as she runs towards you.

“Did you have fun?” You ask picking her up and she shakes her little head no, “no, why not my love?”

“Scary” she tells you quietly.

“It’s not supposed to be scary Lucille, but that’s alright why don’t we try something else.” So the rest of the night is spent trying to find rides she likes, and she liked majority of them.

You and Eddie decided that the Ferris wheel would be last and as that time comes around Lucille is getting tired.

The three of you get into a little compartment with you on one side with Lucille in your lap and Eddie on the other.

Once the Ferris wheel began to move Lucille wasn’t sure if it was cool or terrifying while she was half asleep.

She squirmed in your grip, “want dada” she told you nervously and you handed her off into Eddie’s extended arms as she cuddled up into Eddie’s chest as he explained all the different rides you could see from the height.

“And that one is dada’s van” he points out as you take a picture of the two of them smiling happily.

For her first firework show and trip to the fair you’d have to say it went pretty well.

Ok so idk if it’s been asked before but what if s/o just happened to come home with like a kitten or puppy? Or maybe some exotic animal since some rogues like Harley like hyenas and such?

Like s/o just gives them the biggest sad eyes and explained they found this poor creature on the streets or that it followed them home. And they swear to the rogue they’ll take full responsibility for it and care for it themselves. The rogue doesn’t have to do anything, they SWEAR it. Maybe the s/o is slightly childish so the rogue isn’t sure about this?

The Riddler: That is a big old nope and no you won't change his mind even with the pouting. The closest he'll tolerate is a cat...and that's still a big old nooo. Bad memories of a certain feline foe. He actually somewhat tolerated cats before her. So yeah, this guy isn't budging on any kind of pet. Not even a gold fish because even that will take up some kind of space. Now give it to a shelter. Actually if its a cat, he'll tell you to hand it over. He'll give it to Selina. She picks up strays all the time. Anything else is going. Yes, that includes rats- why do you think he likes rats so much?

Scarecrow: Originally isn't having it because no thank you. However he can't deny you're rather eager and you did say you would do all the work. You better. If you want to keep it then know it is your responsibility alone. If a cat or dog, you may catch him and the pet getting buddy buddy as he gives the pet scratches. Beyond that, I don't see him being very tolerant of any other animal. He really doesn't care for pets of any kind.

Two-Face: Ah. So he gets to take care of not one but two things? Yeah right, as if you could even take care of yourself. Sure but he can take care of you better than you ever could. Okay, how about a dog? You're responsible though because he can't be home for a dog as much as the dog would need. -Will 100% refer to you as the dogs parent- "Go and see your ___." Plus...he likes dogs. Doesn't like cats much after a run in with a certain woman with claws.

Black Mask: Almost breaks up with you on the spot. What do you MEAN YOU WANT A PET SNAKE? Are you high? What did you take? Honestly why can't you want a cat or a dog like anyone else? As much as he'd love the idea of having a big scary dog, he simply doesn't have the patience for any kind of animal. But a snake? Okay yes, maybe it would look cool but what if it got out in the middle of the night and ate you both!? Kind of wants to get your head examined. In the end, no pets and don't even think about sneaking one in. Roman will be pissed and we all know what happens next.

Victor Zsasz: probably the least hassle you'll get tbh. He'd prefer a cat. They tend to come and go. He's also more of a cat person. He also wants to name it. Will easily give the cat more affection than you get. Excuse the kissy faces and sounds as he holds the cat. The two are like two peas in a pod. The cat even listens to him! Suddenly you feel like the third wheel of the place. He won't budge on any other pet. He finds dogs too goofy and makes fun of them often. If you're going to sneak anything in MAKE SURE ITS A CAT OR IT ISNT STAYING.

“What are you doing here?” you asked, very confused seeing the person standing in front of you. “What do you mean what are you doing here? It’s your birthday?! I wanted to spend it with my favorite person,” Takemichi said, smiling back at you. “I figured maybe we could… hang out and watch a movie or something,” he said scratching the back of his head.

“It’s just my birthday, it’s nothing special. It’s just like every other day,” you said sharply. The expression leaving Takemichi’s face almost seemed hurt by your words. “Hey, don’t say that,” he said, taking your hand to hold. “This is my favorite day, because it is a day solely for you.” His genuine smile was pure as you stared back at him. You hated how sincerely sweet he was sometimes, but also greatly appreciated it. His words always found you at the right time, bringing you an immense amount of comfort.

You moved out of the doorway and let him inside. “You are so cheesy sometimes, you know that?” you playfully teased. Your words must’ve embarrassed him, or maybe he was already on edge before coming over. He was always in his head, thinking about what ifs and whys, even though you constantly told him to stop. “Oh, uh, yeah I guess so,” he said with a shy smile and looked off somewhere else in the room.

“Sooo, what movie did you want to watch? I’m not super into movies-” you started to say before he cut you off. “True! But you ARE into scary spooky things, and I have your favorite thing. The Strangers,” he said with a cheeky grin and holding up the movie box in his hands. You looked at him, both amazed by his choice of movie and utterly confused. “Are you… sure you want to watch it? I thought you hated scary movies?” you asked with a small laugh.

Takemichi straightened himself up, almost like becoming a new person. “I can handle it, I know it’s just a movie,” he said reassuringly. Something told you this wasn’t reassuring at all, but more so a cry for help. Maybe he wanted you to change your mind and pick a different movie, but the Strangers was your favorite so why would you.

“Ok, if you say so,” you said with a chuckle. You walked into the kitchen to grab a snack for you both while you watched the movie, while Takemichi made his way to the living room to get the movie setup. “What do you want to drink?” you shouted to him from the kitchen. A few moments passed with no answer, so you shouted again. Still no answer. You walked back to look in the living room, he was so entranced in setting up the living room for the movie he hadn’t heard you call to him.

“Takemichi?” you said quietly, even more confused seeing what he was doing. He was fluffing pillows, arranging them on the couch almost to… build a fort? Your voice surprised him, making him smile and laugh nervously. “Sorry, I wanted to watch in a fort… cause I think it’d be fun. And ya know, if you get scared, I am right there for you to hold,” he said. The cheeky grin across his face was adorable. Building a fort, in your living room, to watch a movie together, all because it was your birthday.

“Uhuh, is that really why you want a fort? Because you think I’ll be the one scared?” you asked amusingly with a laugh. Takemichi put his hand on his chest and dropped his jaw. “Are you saying you don’t want to build a fort with me? How could you…” he said sarcastically. You rolled your eyes at him and walked towards the kitchen again. You were going to make a treat for you two to have during the movie, your go-to buttered popcorn with some cheddar flavoring up top. Takemichi would always joke about how simple the snack was, but you loved it, so why not have it for the movie.

You put your popcorn in the microwave, turning it on and leaning on the counter behind you while you waited for it to finish. After a few minutes, the popping stopped, and you haphazardly took the bag out of the microwave. The bag was hot, so you carefully opened it and dumped the buttered popcorn into a large bowl. You opened one of your cabinets, looking through your slew of spices and powders for your white cheddar popcorn powder. Once in hand, you sprinkled a good helping on the popcorn and lightly tossed the popcorn in the bowl to coat it over all the pieces. You grabbed you and Takemichi both a drink from the fridge, gathering it all in your hands carefully and taking it to the living room.

You came back to the living room to see that in the short amount of time you were gone, he had finished the small fort, using the throw blankets on the couch to make the covering and moving your furniture a bit to create the sides of the fort. He was something else. “Wow, I feel like I’m not turning 21 but maybe turning 7 again today,” you laughed. Takemichi looked up at you, smiling from ear to ear while he tried to help take the drinks and popcorn bowl from you. “I have the movie ready to start, but I just wanted to make a safe spot for you, ya know… cause it’s a scary movie and I don’t want you to be afraid,” he said plopping down on the floor that he had covered with more blankets and pillows.

You found a cozy spot in the fort Takemichi had made for you both, snuggling up beside him as he turned the movie on with the remote. As the movie starts and the beginning starts to play, you look over at Takemichi. He seems anxious, does he get scared easily? “Hey, babe, have you ever seen this before?” you asked, popping some popcorn into your mouth. Takemichi laughed nervously and scratched the back of his head again. “Uh, well, no… not exactly. This is the first time watching it,” he said with a small chuckle. You nodded your head slowly in response.

“Inspired.. by true events?” Takemichi asked, turning to you for confirmation. The expression on his face looked so concerned. That’s when it hit you, he is an actual baby watching scary movies. He is not going to make it through this movie at all. “Yes, it is.. Is that ok?” you asked teasingly. Takemichi grabbed the pillow beside him and held it in front of him. “Yes? Why wouldn’t it be, it’s not like it’s happening to us so.. It’s fine,” he answered in a not so reassuring tone.

As the movie continued, it was obvious he was getting more and more paranoid with every minute. Watching the movie must’ve been torture for him, but he was adament that he was going to watch it because it was your favorite and today was your birthday. Every few minutes, even if nothing was really happening, was like a jumpscare for him. It was entertaining hearing him talk to the characters on the tv as if they could hear his advice on what not to do. It was a very adorable sight, if you were being honest. By the time the movie was over, Takemichi was gripping the pillow in his arms so tight that fluffing it would never put it back to the way it was. His eyes were wide and he was clenching his jaw so tight from all the anxiety he was having.

“Are you going to be okay?” you asked playfully. He let out a long sigh before completely laying on the floor and putting the pillow over his face. “I am going to take that as a no,” you laughed as you poked his side. You could hear his muffled ughhhhh from under the pillow. You leaned down close to the pillow so you could whisper to him. “Do you want me to protect you next time, you can sit in my lap and I’ll hold you,” you whispered teasingly. He pulled the pillow off his face and gave you a look that could kill. His pouty, angry face was even more adorable than his normal face. “I swear, I am not a big baby,” he said, puffing his bottom lip out. “I know you’re not,” you said as you leaned down to give him a kiss on his pouting lips.

“Happy birthday, butthead, I love you very much,” he said as you leaned away from him. He made your heart very happy and you loved that he took the time out of his day to make your day special.

Suddenly, a few knocks were at your door. “AHHH!!” Takemichi shouted as he jumped up, accidentally spilling the remainder of the popcorn on the floor. He was glaring at the door, his eyes wide and his expression nothing but anxiety once again. “It’s fine, nothing’s wrong. It’s probably just my neighbors or something. They know it’s my birthday,” you reassured him as you walked towards the front door.

“Please, please, please do not open that door… What if it’s like the movie?!” he said, his eyes still wide as ever as he watched you grab the door handle. “Oh come on, babe. There’s nothing to be afraid of,” you laughed as you opened the door slowly.

it was a wonderful, and utterly delightful tuesday afternoon in the bustling city of new york. stephen strange was sitting down in one of his favourite cafes with wong, as they spoke about whatever the hell sorcerers speak about on a tuesday afternoon, when suddenly the doors to the once peaceful cafe slam open so hard it made the ground shake.

both strange and wong's eyes shot up to the door as they watch you march in with another girl following you closely.

"STEPHANIE!" you shout and strange groans out in frustration.

"what did i say to you about calling me that, y/n?"

"idk bro. ANYWAYS this, is my new friend, america chávez! america, this is stephanie strange and wong, the cool magic people i told you about!"

"hi! loving the cape by the way."

"america has these cool af powers that can open up portals to the multi-chorus!"

"verse."

"verse! the multiverse!"

"eeeeyyyup."

"AND she can also punch REALLY hard!"

wong and strange stare at each other in confusion before stephen waves his hands in front of you and america.

"ok, ok, ok. slow down. hey miss chávez it's nice to meet you. first off, the name's stephen strange. second, we are sorcerers, not magicians. and thirdly, you can open what's to where now?"

"portals to the multiverse. was he even listening?"

"he's and older guy, he might need a minute." you say which makes america snicker.

strange just rolls his eyes, "how do you do that?"

"do what?"

"open portals to the multiverse? that is impossible!"

"i have actually no clue. i just do." america shrugs.

"forget how she does it stephen! isn't it cool!? we've visited 3 different universes already!" you exclaim

"yeah, but we almost got stuck in the paint-a-verse."

"THE WHAT!?" both wong and strange shout.

you laugh, "the paint-a-verse! it's epic when your not almost coming apart into liquid form."

"or combining with each other!" america adds.

stephen sighs and looks across the table to the supreme.

"wong?"

"don't look at me, y/n is your student." wong answers with his hands up.

just as the doctor was about to speak, you interrupt him quickly

"ALRIGHT YES I KNOW, I KNOW, i would love to stick around for the lecture about why i was a bad girl but we actually need your help!"

"yes we do, and we have precisely," america looks down at her watch, "4 minuets before DISTRUCTION!"

"DISTRUCTION!?"

"omg wong sush she might hear us!" you whisper and cover his mouth with your hand. wong looks up at you and strange raises an eyebrow in question at you.

"who might hear you?"

"that one red scary slavic wizard woman!" america tells him, "she wears red, black and other goth colours OH and she wears a mc donalds M head band looking thing! what was her name again y/n?"

"red wizard?"

"no no no no it wasn't that."

"uhhhh red bi**h?"

"noooo. what's another type of red?"

"rose?"

"no."

"carmine?"

"nah, that's too much sophistication."

"ummm...... oH SCARLET!"

"YEAH! that's the one! the scarlet bi**h!"

"oof. i'm pretty sure it was witch."

"oh yeah, you're right. the scarlet witch."

"the scarlet witch."

"wanda maximoff!?" strange screams.

you and america nod vigorously with smiles that soon turn to grimaces when you hear the sound of a loud bang and the sight of dark clouds covering the once blue skies outside. everyone stares out of the floor to celling widows of the cafe in horror.

"you two are gonna tell me what the actual hell is going on right now! y/n!?"

you know by the expression on you tutor's face, you had to spill the beans asap and forget the towels for clean up because with the mess you were about to make, you'd need a lot more than a few measly pieces of cloth for that.

"uhhh.... hahaha ummm so basically. we kinda. oh um ok-"

"Y/N."

"SORRY WE NEED YOUR HELP TEACH!"

"why!?"

"cause, i took america on a mini journey with my sling but we kinda might have ended up where the scary witch lady was staying and um we made fun of her dead husband basically i called him an EE wifi router and then america said that she bets when he moans, it sounds like the windows start up sound- OH MY GOSH."

you and america burst out laughing, so hard that she fell over, holding her stomach.

"and when he goes in, it does the USB insert sound!"

"CHÁVEZ!"

strange is not amused one bit, and you two noticed this. you stop laughing then pull america up off of the floor and she brushes herself off. strange puts his book down and asks,

"so we all know why that was the most stupid thing you could possibly do, but you still haven't explained why you need my help."

"OH. so that made her angry, so she used her magic red stuff to hurt y/n so i got mad and through a rock at her and then opened a portal and then she, i guess got excited about that which is a little weird cause i'm a minor- but i digress. then she was like 'ohhh there you are america chávez. you have something i want, and i always get what i want'."

"and then i said 'hell no satan not today' and then we jumped through and she screamed after us."

"it sounded like the cries from hell." america whispers.

"oh god." wong sighs as he holds the bridge of his nose.

stephen is having a hard time taking in all of this sudden information that has been slapped in his face. he still hasn't even processed how you even met america in the first place! his head starts to spin so he takes a sip of his water, and that's when he hears you say,

"oh and i think it made her a teensy bit more angy cause i took her emo book."

strange's gaze shoot up to you and he analyzes the black book that you are holding in front of you. his eyes widen.

"the dark hold? yoU TOOK THE DARK HOLD?"

"stephen, are you just going to go past the fact that wanda maximoff HAS the DARK HOLD!?"

"oMg wong, stephanie! calm the heckers down. we got it all under control!"

*B A N G*

"really?"

"of course." you say, a shiver following right after.

suddenly, the four of you hear a voice, loud and clear in your minds and it kinda freaks you and america out, but stephen and wong look unfazed.

"you are playing with fire girls. you are very persistent. you must reeeaaalllyy wanna get burned."

"holy smack. y/n did you hear that!?"

"i did mary and i'm not gonna lie, that was kinda a turn on."

"y/n this is no joking matter! you have overstepped into dangerous territory and you have now endangered everyone!" strange scolds.

america shakes her head and stands in front of you, proactively.

"you can't just get mad at her mr. strange! it was the both of us!" america holds your hand tightly and smiles at you. you smile back and then hear stephen groan.

"FINE. however, you are going to have to come back with us to the sanction so we can look into this situation in detail-"

"hello there little girls. are you gonna make this easy, or are you gonna be hard on yourselves?"

"sorry doc but the is no time!" you declare and use your sling to open up a portal.

"no! y/n! you mustn't leave with the dark hold! give it to me now!"

"i'm sorry wong but no can do. i messed up, so i'm gonna fix it."

"it's not about who fixes it y/n. the dark hold is dangerous!"

"oh this chatter is getting boring! shut up and give me what i want."

"F**K LET'S DIP!"

"RIGHT BEHIND YOU Y/N!"

you and america run through the portal and it closes back instantly. strange and wong are still in their defensive stances, yet, wanda doesn't attack. she only let's out a spine chilling cackle and with a wisp of black, grey and red smoke, she disappears. the only thing left was the echo of the witches laugh.

"they're gonna get their a$$es kicked by that witch." strange mumbles.

This is a highly controversial question that could probably get me canceled on this website so I need to be careful with how I word this but please, PLEASE, explain to me why you use they/them pronouns? Is it even rude to ask that?? A little bit of background so you can understand where I'm coming from PLS DON'T COME FOR MY NECK JUST YET BUT I live in Eastern Europe and everything is very conservative here, everything, people are still stuck in the 19th century when it comes to the LGBT community and whatnot. I never knew people used they/them pronouns until I first joined Tumblr back in 2017 and for YEARS I was just like "Ah, ok cool, I'll just call them that. I don't really know and understand why people pick these pronouns but I feel bad for not calling them something they don't like." There are always special snowflakes online that use the pronouns to gain some sort of attention (be it good or bad...) but there seems to be a genuine number of individuals that uses them for a reason, not just to gain petty internet attention or whatever. I trust you so that's why I'm asking you, I'm still a little in the dark when it comes to these things, I hope you see where I'm coming from 🥲

First: I don't want to explicitly give away too much of who I am in the internet like what's my real name, gender, country, etc. I feel like it's not safe at all considering this is a dark content blog huhu. The internet's pretty dang scary. Cuz doxxing and all that...

But I think I can understand where most people are coming from when they use they/them pronouns, they just don't feel like they belong in a certain standard of masculinity or femininity– or at least they feel like they exude both sides enough.

Honestly, I'm not sure if I'm nonbinary at all. All I know is that I'm ace and possibly aro. I have a name that's more common to the opposite gender than "what's in one's pants"– and I feel a strange disconnect with the gender that's given to me?

My reasonings are going to be very specific so it wouldn't really apply to everyone who uses they/them pronouns huhu:

I was raised knowing that my parents wanted me to be the opposite gender since I'm their second child haha. I always end up on the other gender's list when the teacher does a rollcall my whole life, and everytime I introduce myself it's always "Oh I thought you're a ____ because of your name!" and maybe I'm just a weakling but it kinda bugs me to the point that I go "... yeah I wish I was a ____ too."

I don't feel like a boy. I don't feel like a girl. I don't know where I belong between those two sexes and there just comes a point where you're tired of just trying to please whatever perception people have of you? Hahaha I am NOT making sense I am so sorry miss ana 😭

I'm from a very conservative country too so there are times I feel like I'm not feminine/masculine enough compared to people my age and (admittedly) I get a bit irritable/hurt whenever people force those standards on me lol. I just wanna live life without all those things, I guess. It's tiring hearing those aunties say you're not good enough and that you should look more aesthetically pleasing to get the attention of the other gender like auntie I'm asexual I don't wanna get hitched–

I'm honestly fine if people assume that I'm a boy/girl online and call me by other pronouns lololol, but will I ever actually admit what's my assigned gender? Probably not unless we're close my comrades and haha unfortunately I used to have a tendency to trust easily. I feel comfortable being called they/them, and that's just how it is lololol

ok, I'm pretty sure i know what a crush is.

i know what it feels like. what it has you thinking about. etcetera.

i say this having experienced crushes or something similar growing up. if what i experience nowadays is not a crush, then neither was that stuff. not sure it makes sense to disprove something in the past tho. puberty hormones are a crazy thing.

but here i am looking for excitement, right? I'm thinking about a relative stranger. replaying moments in my head, reliving them, because they were exciting. that's the part that has always enticed me: the excitement of chase and flirting. danger is exciting too (haha trauma amirite).

I'm not sure this translates into a crush for me. it is a little annoying? a little fun too. but it's hard because I'd like to talk about my excitement and i seriously don't want allo people (or anybody for that matter) to assume i must have a romantic crush on someone and therefore, of course, must ask them out. it makes everything far less fun for me. i want my emotions and experiences to be good things, not "signs" to allo people for them to disregard everything I'm saying. how am I supposed to express any of this stuff to people who don't understand why i don't want to date people if they see "so much compatibility" and "see so much love in my heart" and think "we would be such a good match" or say i "don't know until i try."

like, idk what to call it, i don't have a good word for it in my opinion. it's just exciting to me in the way it's exciting to meet someone at a club and really click and how good that makes you feel. it doesn't have to mean you're meant for each other in a romantic sense or even a sexual sense. it can just be fun and exciting. maybe you make out or cuddle or grope. who knows. maybe that's it. or maybe you just flirt and banter and that's all. that's ok too.

i have no idea what this is. i just hope that I'm really feeling myself when she comes in again. i hope i look hot or something idk. not in an unapproachable way. just in a way that is me. bc i have no idea what i look like to other ppl but she is scary and probably nothing scares her lol. and I'm kind of a fan of that ngl. maybe it's the whole unattainable allure, the frayromantic. maybe it's better in my head than irl. who knows. but it's just fun and that's all i have to say. it's fun and i hope it's fun next time too.

There's two separate series, there's one which follows the first 3 movies but adds some extra details in to each of the characters and one which follows original final destination storyline with 6 books in total. They're all pretty rare though, I've only got the 3rd movie book and the first 5 of the og series.
