I’M EXCITED!

I’m gonna jump into the boat of choosing to believe in the writer’s vision. I do want these characters to get out alive and well and have this family be restored, but a story without struggle isn’t nearly as fulfilling. I want to believe that this squad of soldiers, constantly pulled together and apart, will end up where they always should have been - at their family’s side.

I feel a lot of us are under this storm cloud thats about to release all hell, and I cannot blame anyone. This is dark season, I thought season 2 with Crosshair’s torture was terrible but s3 has put on the pressure.

But I have prediction :D

I’m on the team that Emerie will make the leap: hand over a giant red button and thundering music behind her. There’s something different about her, that unquestionable obedience and restraint gone. Her red lenses at her feet. The looming vat of blue in front of her, a monstrous shadow stretching over her. The button beeps, an alarm booming to life as the liquid in the tank lowers, a long arm twitching to life. Cuts to a poisonous green eye snapping open.

The scene cut to black as glass cracks, a monumental growl echoing into the dark.

That’s how episode 14 will leave and where the final will leave off.

i don't expect adaptations to be carbon copies of the original, because then what would be the point of the adaptation when we already have the original. i don't expect adaptations to be better than the original, sure, there are a few cases of that happening, but it's rare.

what i do expect adaptations is to be faithful to the source material, keeping to the same themes that were integral to the original, and i do expect adaptations to maintain the integrity of the characters, especially in a show like avatar the last airbender, where much of its appeal and depth come from the growth, development and the relationships of the characters and that's where natla fails.

#changes to characters can be good sometimes. but the changes the creators of natla made are not good. #if you believe that the changes they have made are for the better? im not listening to you. argue with the wall. #i dont really care if you like it. if you like it. good for you! #i didnt. it sucks ass. its... so flat and completely assassinated so many characters. katara. bumi. iroh. hakoda. #there are few positives. it isnt all bad. most of it is though. #its not worse than the movie. ill give them that. some of the scenes were great. but... ugh. #side note - i see a lot of people complimenting the outfits and... sure. they look pretty. but the thing is they shouldn't look pretty. #aang is 12 years old. he's reckless and messy and loves to goof off. his clothes are not going to look pristine and brand new. #sokka teaches children to be warriors. you cannot tell me his clothes wouldn't be dirty and torn. #same with katara. but she's an amateur waterbender who messes up. a lot. #ZUKO HAS BEEN ON A RUN DOWN SHIP FOR THREE YEARS. his armour would be OLD.
