So there are apparently no ocremixes of music from The Messenger or Sea of Stars. Criminal. Time to listen to the Secret of Mana remix album on repeat again, I guess.

I love this mix because it really does take a six chord source track and turn it into six minutes of pure, sweet, funky groove. And I still keep playing it on repeat because my brain deeply craves a 20 minute extended remix.

When the synths open up at 3:20 and then when the waawaa chorus hits at 3:50 it's *chef's kiss*. Glorious. Just- sink your teeth into that baseline, it's so good.

The entire Resonance of the Pure Land album is amazing actually, but I have a handful of personal faves that I always have to listen to on repeat a few times, and this is one of them.

"Final Fantasy VIII: Seeds of Pandora" is now available for free download.

It's an absolute honor to be part of the very diverse and talented cast of people that contributed to this amazing album, and it's an even greater honor they let me open the second disc with my take on "Cactus Jack".

I reworked the song into a national anthem for Galbadia — with stadium atmosphere, vocals, and everything — and that was a ton of fun. Cyril the Wolf contributed the announcer at the beginning ... and that's it pretty much. 😊

Raining at Hyrule Castle - WillRock

There are tons of amazing Zelda remixes out there, but I love this one in particular because 1) it fucking rocks; and 2) the opening organ is so strongly reminiscent of Walk, In the Rain from episode 5 of Cowboy Bebop that it kind of drives me slightly insane.

Mostly, though, it fucking rocks. Link to the Past debuted so much of the most iconic Zelda music; you really can't go wrong with any of it.
