the second side of the coin, these are characters within the same universe as the reign lore ocs on @quietnocturne however this is set pre-synthetic magik, so before the Basillisk triplets are ever created.

It is set at a time in the Lore universe where Reign has finally taken over. They are the party that holds the power, but the Lore party disagrees, thinks that magikal users and non-magikal beings should coexist.

Except there’s a problem with that, of course, because of the heir to the tyranny that is the Lore government, Savare Lore (up until about a third of the way through, where he commits treason and takes the crown government tyrant position). He is excellent at keeping up appearances, so the public believes his family will bring peace and prosperity to the land of magik that is in the Reign-centered universe. However behind closed doors, Savare is an obsessive, narcissistic captor interested in his playthings, money, and delicacies. All the better when his playthings are composed of all three.

—— OC INFORMATION ——

Savare was born three years prior to the Reign government taking power and lived in squalor for several years while his dictator father sought after more power in their universe. He finally has enough to challenge Reign’s power in the events leading up to 1 A-SM (1 year into having artificial-synthetic magik). This is the same year that AM’s brother is brutally murdered and kick starts the events of Reign Lore, the other half of the story.

Savare is a tall, handsome man with cold blue eyes and dark hair which falls in waves down to about his chin. Often he’ll wear it up, as he can get rather bloody during sessions with his playthings and would rather keep clean. He always wears expensive clothing, and appearance is important to him. To see him wearing pajamas would mean something is wrong, he isn’t himself. He is broad in the shoulders and very sturdy, though he gives the appearance of being lean. He has sharpened his canines professionally. He cannot use magik.

Noya is Savare’s court magikian and witch. She is insane, medically speaking, but genius. She gets obsessive too, so sometimes Savare needs to punish her. She was one of his playthings for several years when they were kids, and thus it was Savare that drove her brilliant mind to madness. Her skin is a dark grey, hanging off her frame in some places. Not because she is skinny, because she is far from it. It’s just a result of some of the poisons Savare used on her as a child. Noya doesn’t remember any of it, and constantly vys for his impressed smile.

Ether is Savare’s court adviser. He is a seedy-if-not-handsome looking man in charge of Savare’s publi relations. He is in his late thirties and is well informed on everything going on. He is obsessed only with money and doesn’t care what becomes of anyone else as long as his pocket it padded. This is the impression he tries to give, anyway. He actually has a daughter named Iya. Should he talk out of line or influence the public in any way to dislike the Lore crown government, Iya will be hurt or killed and he is well aware of that fact. Aside from this, he enjoys his job.

Savare’s list of playthings, in chronological order (in brackets is the age at which Savare kept them, not their age. also included is their talents, and their means of death or escape):

Rhys (age 7-10, a flame cryptid capable of manipulating fire, dies of a simple fever and dehydration)

Ferren (age 9-14, a water nymph, dies of blood loss)

Leyana (age 14-18, emotional manipulation cryptid, escapes by essentially forcing Savare to love her and commit treason in her name, which is glossed over once Savare takes the crown as the Lore tyrant rather than the Lore heir. Fun fact: “Leyana’s lies!” Is a curse in post-Reign world, where Lore rules supreme)

Dios (age 20, a self-healer, dies of exhaustion after attempting to heal massive blood loss, three shattered vertebrae, a concussion, and pneumonia)

Jakob (age 21-22, a winged cryptid capable of extreme pheromone output, Savare falls in love with Jakob and releases him into the forest surrounding his estate, where he is kidnapped by a band of vigilantes and almost executed just to put him out of his misery. luckily, he is rescued by another magik user by the name of Kaj and that’s then part of Reign Lore plotline.
