Background: The summer of her junior year she started waitressing at Pop’s working the graveyard shift leading her to be introduced to Toni Topaz, Sweet Pea, Fangs Fogarty, and Joaquin DeSantos.

Over the course of the summer, she became friends with the Serpents and flirted here and there with Fangs, and when Persephone came home for the school year, she was excited to hear about the flirting (or Persephone’s version) with Sweet Pea.

When it was discovered that the Serpents were involved with the death of Jason Blossom, she stood up for her friends.

Today, I sat down with Sapphire Keller, Pyre for short, a detective in New York and older sister to our Drama Teacher, Mr. Keller. Pyre was extremely interesting — she had so many stories to tell about being a detective. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. At the end of our interview, I asked her to share her most treasured memory with me.

“Oh man! Most Treasured memory definitely has to be before mom left to go overseas. [She smiles fondly.]

It was a rainy-day. Denise was whining about being bored as kids do when they can’t go outside and play, and mom suggested we go see a movie and of course us kids said yes before she even suggested playing a board game. Kevin gets competitive when playing board games and Denise rage quits every time.

So, we just walked out of the house when dad pulled up just getting off work, now normally he would go straight to bed after working a night shift but on this particular day he decided to join us.

Dad drives us to the Bijou in mom’s car, we had to make a run for it from the car to the entrance as it was pouring by the time we got there, Kevin ended up slipping and grabbed hold of dad dragging them both down.

[She chuckles.] Mom had enough sense to bring an umbrella for me and Denise to share and she had a raincoat. [She shakes her head.] Men weren’t prepared for the downpour.

So, dad got tickets for the latest kid’s movie because ya know we had Denise who was about ten at the time, we got a big bucket of popcorn to share between the five of us although I personally prefer Buncha Crunch. I’m pretty sure halfway through the movie dad fell asleep, [She laughs] which it’s cool because at least he joined us on the outing.

After the movie, we went to Pop’s and in that moment everything perfect, we were this happy family laughing and talking and lovingly picking on each other. It’s like we forgot that mom was leaving in a month to go overseas.”

⌛️ honestly don’t have an AU for Pyre 🙈

💄She’s a few inches shorter then Kevin and absolutely hates that her baby brother is taller than her

👽 Pyre is not a religious person. She loves sleep way to much but she’s gone to church a few times with Persephone.

👩‍👩‍👧 before Denise was born her and Kevin were the best of friends but after Denise she ignored Kevin to watch Denise

🔥 she hates how Persephone has “play dates” with Tom like she knows Persephone will do something stupid just to annoy both her and Tom

🧦 since her mother left, Pyre took on the role of taking care of the household while Tom is at work.

She dislikes pranks. She doesn’t understand how trying to cause someone bodily harm is funny

12. Are they an overall healthy person? Do they make for a good patient or a terror?

Overall I would say Pyre is a healthy person, she eats right (most times), exercises every day, she sleeps like a solid 6 hours. The only thing that would make her a terror is the fact she hates needles

13. Describe your character's typical wardrobe for the regular day.

Jeans, casual t-shirt. It’s school, not a fashion show.

14. Are they a simple person to please or difficult?

I would say she’s a simple person to please.

15. What is the first thing people notice about them?

Them legs. Got legs for days

16. What do they look for in a friend? A love interest?

For a friend someone willing to be there for her on her darkest day. Someone who will be willing to take a verbal lashing and still hug her afterward as she cries. 

For a love interest someone who will notice her in a crowded room and light up. She knows everyone looks at Persie when the two of them walk into a room together but she wants someone who sees her.

She’s soft for Tom, Kevin, Persie, Liam, Fangs, Oliver, and Pop Tate. I would say she finds being soft easy

Blackmailing Tom with the fact she knows about his affair with Sierra. She honestly hated using it against him and Sierra but also she didn't want the Serpents to go to juvie.

So her comfort item is her baby rattle. She keeps it in her pocket most times but she also keeps it on her key ring

Pyre & Jughead

Pyre and Jughead are on friendly terms due to Pyre being Persephone’s best friend and Jughead being Persephone’s brother, but she does enjoy his presence at Pop’s even if all he orders is coffee.
