Priest may look intimidating as a large sapient predatory species but the Ziek'ah are a kind, welcoming people and he is their leader.
The Ziek'ah people worship the concept of death and base their entire society around it. They also are the go to for many other species to perform funeral rites and are educated in every species' death rituals in the Court of Stars.

Introducing...
*overdramatic drumroll*
Tumblr media
The ASTROSTIX!!!
A species of Stix whose true origins are still being debated today.
This species will be replacing our Musix OCs. They'll still be the same characters, however their lore and attributes will be altered heavily.
Text version for those who can't read the image:
a species of humanoid figures whose origins are scattered across the universe with very little knowledge to who they are or why they arrived here.
theorised to originate from a new universe entirely.
ATTRIBUTES
this interstellar species of stix is incredibly diverse with colour variations across the spectrum in regards to skin, eyes, hair etc.
some have a furry / fluffy dermis while others may have scales, physical light or tissue identical to a human's. Their organs follow the same rules.
they show classic human intelligence and personal moral codes, though some hold knowledge normal humans are incapable of comprehending.
BINARY SOUL
when tested on, the readings only showed various letters and numbers that alluded to their origins and generic makeup.
these were nicknamed "binary souls" for simplicity.
these binary souls included readings ranging from objects of space to manifestations of controversial theorems, e.g. the Boltzmann Brain (see subject).
with each unique binary soul, the stix had unique abilities. for example, the subject on display is capable of telepathy and "spontaneous manifestation" – teleportation.
a common trait amongst subjects is they each had markings across their body, prominently on the back.
some were opaque, others glowed under certain lighting e.g. blacklight.

First time writing a dnd species !
also oc of that species, also also any advice and constructive criticism is highly appreciated :D
Tumblr media
Her name is Riley Dear she is a school teacher, she teached children for free in small human town for now to be a centurie, loves to interact with humans and other species. Everyone in the town knows Riley and people look up to her as a pillar of the community.
Lifestone golems (name given to them by other species, but they don't really use it)
Description
Primordial spirits inhabiting stone (or other types of minerals) hollowed-out shells. One could describe them as alien spirits from a another realm. They are fascinated by humans and mimic human behavior and customs, although the success of that is mixed at best. They love concepts like fashion, dancing, and singing. Sometimes, you can spot them outside their shells, frolicking in the air (although they cannot communicate with other species outside their shells). Lifestone golems reside in towns with brutalist-style structures made entirely of diferent stones but most commonly obsidian.
Taking care of a lifestone shell is crucial (which is why every lifestone golem knows mending). If the shell is destroyed (failed death saves), there is nothing tethering the spirit to this realm, and it departs to another. The lifespan of a golems depends on how well the shell is cared for. For example, if agolem has a job like a bartender, they probably won’t sustain much damage and can live for hundreds of years. However, if they engage in activities like mercenary work, their shell may experience significant damage, leading to a shorter lifespan.
Appearance
Lifestone golems are tall humanoids with large arms and legs. From cracks on their bodies, spirits emanate (usually white, but if the spirit is strongly magically bound, they might appear in different colors). They lack noses. Their bodies consist of minerals and stones, and they often repair cracks with resin, gold, or similar materials. Shells (and hair) are ancient magical constructs that cannot be dispelled. Attempting to dispel the construct will not destroy it but will cause it to fall prone for one turn.

Features/Traits:
Free Spirit:
You can leave your shell and move around as a spirit for up to 1 hour. Your movement is unrestricted, with no limit on the range between you and your shell.
While outside of your shell, you cannot communicate or interact with physical objects (you pass through them).
Useful for scouting, but be cautious your shell is vulnerable when you’re away.
Possession (Action):
Starting at level 5, you can burn one spell slot to leave your shell and possess another living creature for 1 combat round.
If the creature is unwilling, it must pass a Wisdom saving throw (DC 16). If successful, you return to your shell.
Possession can be performed once per long rest.
At higher levels:
Level 10: 2 times per long rest
Level 15: 3 times per long rest
Level 20: 4 times per long rest
You can spend multiple charges simultaneously to extend the possession duration (example spending 2 charges to extend it from 1 combat round to 2).
If the possessed creature takes damage, the possession is broken, and you return to your shell, taking half of the damage received.
Anything Goes:
You can consume almost anything, converting it into energy for your spirit.
Although you can’t taste anything, different foods may evoke various feelings. For example, eating flowers might bring pleasant, happy sensations, while eating dirt could leave you feeling bad or or just sad.
Time Blindness:
All Lifestone golems suffer from time blindness.
It’s advisable to ask your party members for reminders, as you may lose track of time.
[ PS: if you decide to make a Lifestone golem oc, tag me pls pls ]

Species Spotlight: Chelosian
A breakdown and reference for my Chelosian original species.
Tumblr media
Chelosians are a reptilian bipedal sapient species that loosely resemble ceratopsian dinosaurs or turtles. They have short-beaked faces with versatile teeth in the rear of the mouth. Male age-morphs develop short tusks, combat claws on thumbs and hallux (big toe), spines on upper limbs and nape, and loose wattles on the neck; these traits are holdovers from ancestor species where males competed in intraspecific combat during breeding seasons. Female age-morphs are larger overall and develop ornamental frills and noticeable fat deposits in their torso and tail. Their legs are plantigrade, their hands and feet have 5 digits with claws and minor webbing. Their hallux is slightly opposable. Their tails reach to the knees or further but do not touch ground. They are used for communication and calorie storage but are not prehensile. Scales on the back are thickly keratinized and form a flexible shell-like surface in adults. For male-morphs, this shell is studded with spines. Scale colours range from reds through to brown into greens. Distinct patterning is rare but mottled colouring is common, scale colours will sometimes shift as an individual transitions between sex morphs.
Chelosians are sequential hermaphrodites. Chelosians are “male-morph” upon reaching sexual maturity and remain so for ~50 cycles before transitioning to “female-morph” stage and undergoing development of different secondary sexual characteristics, shedding tusks and growing cartilaginous frills. They remain fecund for another 40-60 cycles before entering a geriatric maturity stage. They have no cultural basis for sex-assigned or gender identities, instead a Chelosian’s social identity is closer to an age-related prescribed role. They prefer neutral or neo-pronouns when speaking in Galactic Standard, and have age- and relation-determined pronouns/honourifics in their native Cheloan.
Chelosians are omnivorous and semi-warm-blooded, allowing them to survive most in climates in the known habitable range, though they tend to favour temperate or warmer habitats. Chelosians have an unusual ability to ‘throttle’ their metabolism, easily adapting to a lower calorie intake or colder climate without suffering starvation or torpor. Due to this quirk, they are also able to sequester and excrete most common pollutants and heavy metals, allowing them to work in environments hazardous to many other species. As a result, many Chelosians can be found in hazardous materials or maintenance work positions and are also often among the “founder” populations of new space station habitats.
