OC Kiss Week Day 3: Nostalgia
WIP: Partners Pairing: Ben x Reagan Timeline: 1960, sometime during the second installment CW: none Rating: G(?) Words: 1,000
***
Reagan could see the kitchen from the living room. His mother was at the sink and had started to wash the dishes from the dinner he'd made. He should've heard it first, but he'd been in a perpetual fog since stepping foot off the plane slogging him the five thousand miles from Los Angeles, and he only realized he could hear running water at the sink after listening to his father softly snoring on the couch for a few minutes.
He was thirteen years old the last time he'd seen his parents in person, so it shouldn't have come to be such the surprise it was when he realized how much they'd aged. But watching his mother take a cloth that appeared to be close to disintegrating in her hand, he concluded that she and his ailing father hadn't just aged physically, but in spirit, too.
Being away from Ben indefinitely was damaging, and it was neck-in-neck to being as damaging as understanding the full extent to which he'd shredded his parents' lives when he sat them down twenty-six years ago and told them he wasn't moving back to Ireland with them. When he told them he was staying with Ben, where he belonged for the rest of his life.
"Mom," he said, now, moving gormlessly to the kitchen. "...It's okay, I've got it."
"Nonsense," Aoife said. She plastered on a sunny smile and didn't let up her scrubbing a plate. "You did all the cookin', now. Go rest."
"No, you go rest." Reagan gently swatted at her hands and took a bowl from her pile. "Spend some time listening to Dad's beautiful natural ambience."
"I will do no such thing," Aoife protested, though she stepped back and dried her hands on the dishtowel beside the sink in any case. "The man keeps me up half the night with his snorin'. That'll be the last thing I want to hear from him."
Reagan scrubbed the bowl and glanced at her after a considerable pause. She stared hopelessly into the living room.
"...Sure'n that'll be the first thing I miss when he's gone."
Reagan swallowed. "Right."
Almost as if waiting for a cue, the muffled but unmistakable sound of wind being passed sliced a metaphorical knife through the following silence, originating from the living room. Aoife and Reagan looked at each other.
Snorting to keep from laughing too heavily, Reagan started on the next dish.
"Don't even think about it," Aoife scolded, though her heart wasn't in it. Eventually, she scoffed, and leaned into Reagan with conspiracy twinkling in her eye. "On second thought, let the good Lord take him right now."
Reagan shook his head and snickered.
As his parents wound down for the night and left him to his devices, Reagan milled around the living space, cleaning out his father's ashtray and putting out the fire in the hearth. He reached under the floor lamp to switch it off and go to bed himself when he caught his eye on the photos on the other side of the room.
The end table held two framed photos of him as a small child, one in a kilt at age three on a trip to Scotland with his father, and the other in a school uniform at age six or seven. On the wall above hung a larger photo of Reagan in the Mertz home at age nine with five-year-old Ben on his lap. Gleefully grabbing frustrated Ben's face and planting a kiss on his cheek.
He stared at the picture. He'd seen it every day he was there, but he never had a chance to fully comprehend it until that moment.
The man he would've died for without hesitation was halfway across the world.
Reagan closed his eyes. Either his father died the next day and he could return to his family, his life, his best friend...or he would be in Ireland for months. Possibly years. And who was he to dare to hope even with the smallest shred of his mind that his father would die the next day?
Disgusted with himself, Reagan approached his parents' room and rapped on the door with the back of his hand.
"It's unlocked, Rían," his father said.
Reagan opened the door to find Casey propped up in bed with a book, reading glasses perched on the bridge of his nose, wrapped in his dressing gown and a thick blanket draped over his lap to ward off his perpetual chill. Aoife sat on the edge of the bed opposite, adjusting a curler in her hair.
"Hey, Dad," Reagan said, voice soft and unsure. He cleared his throat. "Just...wanted to say I love you. And...I'm sorry."
Both Casey and Aoife looked at him, varying levels of confused and surprised. Casey removed his glasses with tremoring hands and folded them onto his lap atop his book.
"Are you alright?" Aoife asked.
"Yeah." Reagan swallowed again. "...I'm sorry I wasn't here. If...if I could take that back, if I could do it all over again..."
"You wouldn't," Casey said.
It hit Reagan like a loosed arrow to the sternum, and he loathed to admit to himself that his father was right. Shame punched him even harder, and he turned away from his parents, hand on the doorknob with a white-knuckle grip.
Aoife rubbed a cream into her hands. "It's all done and dusted. We don't begrudge you followin' your heart, you know that. Da knows that."
Still uncomfortable, Reagan consulted Casey, who released a long, weighted sigh, but said nothing.
"You know I love you, Dad," Reagan repeated. "...Don't you?"
Instead of responding verbally, Casey nodded. Slow, and somewhat hesitant...confirmation nonetheless.
"Get to bed," Aoife said, waving Reagan away. "We love you too, child."
Reagan retreated to his childhood bedroom and sank into his mattress, aching in several places and lacking the strength to map any of them out in a coherent way that wouldn't give him a dire headache when he awoke the next morning.

HOUSE OF HADOR
Note: With regard to name translations, I took inspiration from this article; specifically, I used some of the suggestions for name meanings of the early Hadorians and assigned them to elements in my Taliska glossary (see Appendix A).
~~~
Marach ft. Marach, Legen (OC), Malach Aradan, Imlach It is canon that while they were the third House to enter Beleriand, Marach’s people were originally in the lead; also canon is the attitude of the Green-elves toward them and Marach’s decision to remain in Estolad even though his son led many of his people further west. Since Imlach’s son Amlach is still in Estolad during the time of dissent, it is highly probable (though not explicitly stated afaik) that Imlach remained with his father. Everything else is headcanon. Also, Marach is trans because I said so <3
Imlach ft. Imlach, Amar (OC), Amlach The basic structure of this story is canon: Malach remained in Estolad; Amlach was a dissenter who was impersonated and became an elf-friend in his anger at the deception, entering into Maedhros’ service. I added a lot of details to flesh out the story, especially Amlach’s confusing night in the forest. I think Sauron (or one of his servants) stranded him in the woods and stole his likeness, though I doubt Amlach ever really figured out exactly what happened.
Malach Aradan ft. Malach Aradan, Zimrahin Meldis, Adanel, Magor Malach did enter Fingolfin’s service, and the basic details of his familial relationship are canon. Much of the rest of this is headcanon, however.
Magor ft. Magor, Amathal (OC), Hathol, Thevril (OC), Hador Lórindol We don’t know much about Magor or Hathol; the only canonical detail here is that Magor did move his people away from Hithlum and served no elf lord (though we don’t have details on why). Everything else is headcanon.
Hador Lórindol ft. Hador Lórindol, Gildis, Glóredhel, Galdor of Dor-lómin, Gundor This is mostly canon, though it has been embellished, and everything about Gildis other than her name is headcanon. Gundor’s life is also mostly headcanon, though the manner of his death is canon; I’ll go into his story soon.
Gundor ft. Gundor, Angreneth (OC), Indor, Padrion (OC), Aerin, Peleg We don’t know anything about Gundor other than the manner of his death; we also don’t know how Aerin is related to Húrin, so I decided to expand on both of those unknowns with the same story. Aerin’s father is said to be Indor, who is elsewhere said to be the father of Peleg (who was himself the father of Tuor in an early draft), so I made him the son of Gundor. Since Peleg obviously can’t be Tuor’s father anymore, I killed him off at the Nírnaeth...just like Huor, oops. I think Brodda took Aerin to wife before Morwen disappeared, but I couldn’t figure out how to word that concisely, so I left it kind of vague/misleading in the caption. Oh well.
Galdor of Dor-lómin ft. Galdor of Dor-lómin, Hareth, Húrin Thalion, Huor This is mostly canon, though it has been embellished to give Hareth a bit of personality. Ylmir is the Sindarin name for Ulmo, used by Tuor in his song “The Horns of Ylmir.”
Húrin Thalion ft. Húrin Thalion, Morwen Eledhwen, Túrin Turambar, Beleg Cúthalion, Urwen Lalaith, Niënor Níniel Boy howdy this is a long one! It’s almost entirely canon, though I’ve added some embellishments here and there. Beleg is included because he and Túrin were definitely married (at least by elven standards); I’ll go more into that, and the details of Túrin’s time with the Gaurwaith, in a future edit, but for now I settled just using the gayest possible language. Same deal for his time in Nargothrond.
Huor ft. Huor, Rían, Tuor Eladar We don’t know that Galdor took an arrow specifically to the eye, but I thought it would be poetic if both he and Huor died in the same manner so I added that detail to the canon that Galdor was killed by an arrow. The rest of this is pretty much all canon, with some embellishments. Tuor’s story will continue in another edit.
Tuor Eladar ft. Tuor Eladar, Idril Celebrindal, Eärendil Ardamírë The meat of this story is canon, but I’ve added in some of my headcanons as well. I definitely embellished Annael’s departure from Mithrim to show my perspective on his decision to leave Tuor behind (I really do think he thought Tuor was dead or as good as it, and that as a leader he had the responsibility to keep the rest of his people safe). I’m a little foggy on why Tuor was already so obsessed with Gondolin when he met Gelmir and Arminas, because why would the Sindar of Mithrim be so excited about a Noldorin city? I guess maybe they had friends from way back when who went with Turgon? Or maybe they just wished they could be “safe” like the Gondolindrim were, idk. I was kind of vague there. Ylmir is the Sindarin name for Ulmo; Yssion is a Sindarin name for Ossë (the other one is Gaerys, which I think sounds cooler but isn’t as close to a literal Sindarization as Yssion). The bit about Voronwë teaching Tuor Quenya on the road is headcanon, but I think it makes a lot of sense. Telpevontál is my Quenya translation of Celebrindal. I skimmed and skipped a lot of Tuor’s time in Gondolin, since I went over that in another edit. “The Horns of Ylmir” is a real song that Tolkien wrote (Adele McAllister has a cover of it); I added the bit about it triggering Idril’s foresight, though the song is absolutely foreshadowing no matter how you look at it. Eärendil did canonically get married the same year that Tuor and Idril left for Valinor; we don’t have much info on that otherwise, so I made it as bittersweet as possible. The bit about the Elessar is a lot of convoluted headcanon in my attempt to make sense of its 3 bajillion different origin stories. The name Ardamírë is prophetic because, you know, the whole Silmaril thing, but I liked the idea that Idril made the connection with the Elessar before the Silmaril came into the picture. All we know about Idril and Tuor’s fates in canon is that people ~believe~ they made it to Aman and that Tuor was counted as an elf, but that last bit never sat right with me since elsewhere it’s very clearly stated that the Gift of Men is not something that can be refused or taken away. The alternate legend is my own headcanon for what happened to them (I also think they had more peredhil kiddos); in my mind, the Valar let Tuor live the rest of his days in Valinor (all 500 years of them, I just think it’s poetic and connected to his grandson Elros’ fate) before he died peacefully and willingly, able to get closure with Idril before he went.
Storytellers ft. Eltas, Dírhaval Eltas is a character from the Book of Lost Tales, who tells Eriol the “Tale of Turambar.” Supposedly, he once lived in Hísilómë (Hithlum) and came to Tol Eressëa and the Cottage of Lost Play by the Straight Road. That story does not add up at all when you look at it through the lens of Tolkien’s later Legendarium, so I took the name and his origins in Hithlum and crafted an entirely different story for him. Dírhaval is canonically the poet who wrote the Narn i Chîn Húrin; he only wrote that one poem because he was killed at the Third Kinslaying before he could finish any of the other Great Tales like Narn i Leithian (The Lay of Leithian; from his Tolkien Gateway article I think that’s what he was working on after CoH? but I’m not totally sure. But Tolkien never finished the Leithian either, so I think it’s poetic to have Dírhaval do the same). Andvír was one of his sources in canon, I added in the others (Eltas, Nellas, Celebrimbor, Glírhuin), though it was conceivable (and canon, in Nellas’ case) that they knew Túrin enough to report his story (though we don’t know anything in canon about Nellas’ fate). These name translations are my own; I thought “sitting man” worked as a meaning for Dírhaval since I imagine that storytellers like him were known as folk who sat around a lot writing or telling tales.
Servants of Morwen ft. Morwen Eledhwen, Gethron, Grithnir, Ragnir the Blind, Sador Labadal Morwen sending her servants to talk to the elves is headcanon, and so is Gethron knowing some Sindarin, though I think that makes sense considering he did canonically travel across Beleriand and was the one who spoke to Thingol when they arrived in Doriath. We don’t know anything in canon about Ragnir except that he was blind. Sador’s story is canon, though I have added some embellishments here and there. Aside from Sador and Morwen, these name translations are all my own and extremely dubious, but I did my best.
Companions of Húrin ft. Húrin Thalion, Asgon, Ragnir the Outlaw, Dringoth (OC), Dimaethor (OC), Negenor (OC), Tondir (OC), Haedirn (OC), Orthelron (OC) This edit tells the beginning part of “The Wanderings of Húrin,” an unfinished manuscript that was cut from the final published Silmarillion. Húrin’s role in this tale is canon up through his departure from Brethil (that was where Tolkien left off); the way that he left his companions a final time is my headcanon. Asgon and Ragnir are the only names of his companions we know from canon; Asgon’s role as a former outlaw who had known Túrin when he returned to Dor-lómin and started a rebellion is canon, and Ragnir’s pessimism (asking to go home) and his relative youth is also from canon. Everything else about these outlaws is my headcanon, including my reasons for why they weren’t present at the Nírnaeth where literally all the able-bodied men of the House of Hador had perished (except for Húrin). Húrin did go to Nargothrond after Brethil, but I made up everything past that point. We know that there were some Edain at the Havens of Sirion (and presumably there were Men present in the War of Wrath that Elros mingled with before becoming their King), so I thought this could be a way for the remnant of the Haladin (and some of the House of Hador) to get there. I’ll go over the rest of “The Wanderings of Húrin” in future edits, when we get to the relevant Haladin characters.
Gaurwaith ft. Neithan, Beleg Cúthalion, Forweg, Andróg, Andvír, Algund, Ulrad, Orleg, Blodren This is largely a canon-compliant overview of Túrin’s life among the outlaws. The stories of Forweg and Andróg (and Beleg and Túrin/Neithan) are canon (though I did take that extra step and marry off Túrin and Beleg). Orleg’s story is canon, though it’s one that I had overlooked on my various readthroughs of Túrin’s Silm chapter & CoH. Algund and Ulrad’s stories are presented in a slightly tweaked/condensed form; Andvír’s origins as the son of Andróg (??? when did he have a son and why is it never mentioned in the main story???) are canon but (as expressed in parentheses) rather baffling, so I didn’t really emphasize him. Blodren is a character who isn’t in the later drafts of this story; he was an Easterling who was tortured by Morgoth because he “withstood Uldor the Accursed,” and eventually turned into a spy for Morgoth. (As with all Easterling names, his etymology is entirely made up.) He “served Túrin faithfully for two years” before fulfilling the role later taken up by Mîm and betraying the Gaurwaith to the orcs. He was killed by a “chance arrow in the dark” during the battle. I altered his story so that he wasn’t personally tortured by Morgoth and thus did not turn; since he was an Easterling and the rest of the Gaurwaith were Edain, I decided they probably treated him poorly, and threw in a bit of a friendship with Mîm as a nod to how Mîm took over his role. Also, I think Easterlings having pre-existing relationships with dwarves is a cool concept—especially since Bór’s people and Azaghâl’s people both served under Maedhros at the Nírnaeth, and could possibly have had the chance to interact!
2020 Art Highlights :)
Thank you so much for tagging me, @mellar1l! <33
Rules: It’s time to love yourselves! Choose your favorite works you created in the past year (fics, art, edits, etc.) and link them below to reflect on the amazing things you brought into the world in 2020. Tag as many writers/artists/etc. as you want (fan or original) so we can spread the love and link each other to awesome works!
Oh goodness, I have a lot of favourites! I’ll start with my four large paintings; these were done to practice full-body compositions and backgrounds.
A Party in Tirion. My first large painting! I especially love the lighting and atmosphere of that piece.
The Baths of Menegroth. I painted this one as a way to practice female anatomy and atmospheric backgrounds, while also taking the opportunity to develop my headcanons for Lúthien.
The Argument. There’s not a lot of art on this scene, so I thought I’d try my hand at it. I learned that I needed to practice more male anatomy, and also that Maedros was pretty much the sole point of interest of this piece.
The Elven Bathhouse. This one is from my stories, not Tolkien XD I learned quite a bit about male anatomy while painting this piece, and I’m quite happy with the result though I know there’s lots I can improve on.
Next are the solitary pieces! I’ll put this under a “keep reading” since it’s a bit long, sorry ^^;;
Fire and Smoke. I think this is my favourite of the kidnap fam paintings I’ve done so far. I was able to closely match my initial vision, and I also tried an experimental style for the backgrounds, which turned out nicely.
Findekáno and Arakáno. You ever have that painting that you keep coming back to, maybe because it feels very ... cozy? Or fuzzy? Or the composition is just very ... cuddly? I don’t know how to explain it ^^;; I think it’s just the way Fingon cradles Argon, and how Argon holds Fingon’s shoulder. I’m not sure how I brought this effect about, or if anybody else feels the same as me, but it’s like I can feel the cloth of Fingon’s sleeve and the arch of his shoulder as though I’m leaning my head against him. Is it just me? Maybe I need a break from the House of Fingolfin lmaoo
Tell Me About Your Family. Beren and Lúthien are my favourite couple, but I hardly make any content of them. This was really fun to draw in that I was able to create a comfortable, warm atmosphere between them ... or at least I hope I was able to ^^;;
Autumn Tree. Two of my favourite OCs, Aurelydan and Talevar, in the style of my Fire and Smoke paintings. Honestly, I hadn’t drawn them for a while at that time, so it was nice to spend some time with them.
Nolofinwëan Wrath. I think this is my favourite Fingon piece to date. At first I was going to draw him with a blank expression, as though to suggest that he’s dissociating. But then I thought to myself, no, let’s make him angry.
Annael and Rían. I love how Annael turned out here. I dunno what it is, but I just have a thing for immortal beings (usually elves loll) holding mortals in their hearts, if you know what I mean. And I still can’t get over how small and round and cute Tuor is XDD I just imagine Annael holding him so tenderly against his chest, and Tuor falls asleep surrounded by the body heat, and dreams of shiny droplets splashing against the cave walls from little waterfalls ...
Fëanturi Siblings. I need more content of Námo and Irmo with Nienna. Please, more platonic family interactions, I need them.
Illumination. My favourite rendered piece of Aurelydan and Talevar, and the physical form of Aurelydan’s power -- the Firebird. Not only did I get to practice drawing wing anatomy (which took me a dang while to get right loll) I got to have fun with all the lighting, too!
Sisters at Odds. I haven’t drawn these two for ages and ages, so I was all too happy to spend some time with them.
Tagging: @toastedbuckwheat, @gamjawo, @lembas4frodo, and anybody who’d like to join! Please feel free to, if you want! :D
Happy New Year, everybody! Thank you so much for supporting me by liking and reblogging and commenting on my work! I really really appreciate it :’’’’’))) Here’s to another year filled with art and other good things! <333
🌙🌸💜 for Alex, Malachi and Darerca!
🌙 What are some of your OC’s favourites? Favourite food, colour, season, stuff like that! Give some general simple facts that tend to get overlooked!
Alex’s favourite food are sweet and fruity things, he especially enjoys strawberry cake. He doesn’t really have a favourite colour, but I personally kinda associate him with dark blue. His favourite season is summer, cause it’s warm and it rains a bit less than usual, also lots of fresh fruit and vegetables. His favourite animals are probably cats, his family had one when he was younger to take care of the mice. He generally prefers sleeping in to getting up early and feels a uncomfortable interacting with strangers.
Malachi doesn’t have a favourite food, but he generally has very high standards when it comes to food. He’s the kind of person that would rather eat nothing than something subpar. Malachi's favourite colours are gold and red, especially carmine and burgundy. His favourite season is spring, he loves the way the forest comes back to life and the spring flowers bloom. He can speak/read multiple languages (Gaelic, English, Latin, Old Greek and French for certain, maybe some more I haven’t decided upon) as well as play numerous instruments (harpsichord/piano, harp, fiddle/violin), living for over 500 years without needing to work  gives you that kind of time.
Darerca’s favourite food is sirloin beef roast with Yorkshire pudding and brussles sprouts. I don’t think she has a favourite colour, but she hates yellow. Her favourite season is winter, because she secretly really likes snow. Some of her most prominent faerie traits are ram horns and cloven hooves, so she’s always kinda liked sheep and goats.
🌸 What’s a sentence that would make your OC’s day better? One that would make them laugh? One that would make their day worse? Why? What words would you have to say to them to completely ruin their day?
At the point where he’s now Alex would be overjoyed to be told that he’s a good boy and that Malachi is proud of him and loves him. The opposite would make his day worse to really bad.
Top thing to say to ruin Malachi’s day: “You’re ugly and this outfit doesn’t suit you.” In turn compliments are a safe bet to cheer him up and make his day better.
Darerca’s day could be sweetened with some groveling. Something to ruin her day: “Rían was right to sideline you.”
💜 Do you enjoy working on your OC or are they a bit of a chore? We all have that one character who is hard to develop!
I think it’s rather obvious that my favourite character to work on is Malachi. :D He’s just so much fun to think about, an absolutely dramatic bastard, I love him. Alex I’d say is semi-difficult? I generally enjoy working on him though. Darerca is kinda hard, cause she was meant to be just a one time character at first but then I liked her so she became recurring...but I still don’t know that much about her.
might write a Star Wars fanfic to take my mind off of my current writing projects
I have two ideas:
a) write a Kenobi fanfic during/after the events of the prequels have an OC insert
or
b) completely rewrite the sequels trilogy (cause Rían Johnson and JJ Abrams fucked over the cast and the story line)
idk yet but we’ll see
Stimarillion
Here is my masterpost for my Tolkien related stimboards! It will be updated when new things are added so recheck the original post when you want! A stimboard is a collection of gifs or images designed to provide positive visual stimulus for autistic people, people with ADHD, and other neurodivergent people though they can be calming for anyone! Sometimes the visuals are of people stimming (flapping hands, rocking, tapping, etc), sometimes they of things that are calming to look at or imagine touching (like slime, sand, or painting) and some are for soothing anxiety (nature, animations).
(if you can/want to, please reblog so neurodivergent Tolkien fans can see!)
Note: even if I have done one for someone on the list, if you want another one with a different theme or different stims feel free to request!
Been thinking about what Tolkien character to potentially use Daisy Ridley for. I went through my list, and for canon characters I have Rían, Aerin, Nellas, Yavanna, Estë, Nienna, Eilinel, Silmarien, and Tar-Míriel. Oc wise, potentially twin daughters of Aragorn and Arwen, a wife of Elladan or Elrohir, a Maia, a Maia/Elf, a Númenórean, or a Númenórean/Elf like a daughter of Elros.
//i’m taking a moment to just gush over my oc dad for human Evan and their younger brothers. Like this man was the best thing ever! He loved his children so much, had to deal with his wife suddenly leaving him. Rían O’Rourke stood by his children, protected them, loved them no matter what. He was a fireman and taught his kids important life lessons, he was finding love again with another man and then i was a monster and made him die in a car crash :’D
Amigo con el que se graduó/compañero de estudio porque el mundo es así de pequeño. Es la única persona que sabe más o menos sobre su ex, más allá de que SooHyun lo haya mencionado un par de veces. Lo hablé con Victoria y estaría bien que hubieran estudiado los tres juntos o que en parte él los hubiera“juntado”. Una Celestina.
Amigos, o chicos con los que se ha acostado una vez o dos, pero nada románticamente serio, que hagan apariciones estelares  –que se hayan hecho amigos porque ambos sabían que lo que tenían no iba a ir a ningún lado (¿por favor? ¿Gente madura que sepa que un lío de una noche no signifique nada más? my kink), rollos que hayan acabado de una forma desastrosa, no sé, cualquier cosa.
ALGUNA AMIGA por favor está rodeada de chicos.
CHOI DONG-YUL, estudiante de literatura inglesa, trabaja como modelo para artistas, 23 años.
Entre que vive drogado, fumado, bebido y de fiesta y que trabaja como artista para desnudos, medio Seúl le ha visto desnudo. Potenciales intereses amorosos, alguien que consiga que le interese dejar esa vida, gente que le acompañe en esa vida, amigos, gente a la que seguramente le ha jodido estando borracho, compañeros de carrera, estudiantes para los que ha posado, en realidad cualquier cosa.
Quiero que tenga una hermana. No me importa si es menor o mayor, pero me gustaría que ellos hubieran tenido una buena relación antes de que Dong-yul dejase su casa por culpa de sus padres. Igual al verle deteriorarse tanto, la niña (si es menor) fue perdiendo poco a poco el “amor” por Dong-yul, pero que se encuentren ahora por casualidades de la vida ¿?
OH HAYEON, estudiante de derecho y economía de empresas, 22 años.
Quiere ser abogada, pero la herencia de la empresa de su padre la persigue como un fantasma. Amigos de la facultad, conocidos por parte de su padre, compañeras que trabajen en la tienda de ropa en la que trabaja, cualquier cosa.
Alguien con quién hablar de sus mierdas porque sinceramente está muy sola ???? no tiene amigos ???
HaYeon no sabe que también le gustan las chicas y llevo tiempo pensando en que, una noche, en un club o una discoteca o así, bese a una y ahí se dé cuenta y como que le dé muchos dokis ???  no es para que empiecen una relación o así, pero me las imagino haciéndose amigas o no sé sobs.
YOO DEOKHWA, bebé a tiempo completo, estudiante de artes escénicas y de baile y supervisor de uno de los pubs de su padre, 19 años.
Hermanas mayores. Una de 20 (con la que se lleva mejor) y otra unos cuantos años más mayor, sobre los 25 o 26. DeokHwa las quiere mucho y ellas le quieren y se quieren mucho y todos son muy felices molestando cariñosamente a sus padres que le siguen el juego.
Bailarines del pub de su padre o de la competencia en la que participa.
De verdad, que cualquiera me dé cualquier cosa con él porque se merece todo lo bueno del mundo.
Al primer y único chico que besó. No habla con muchos chicos pero creo que con él podría llevarse bien. Que se rían o que la moleste con el beso y que se burle de ella cariñosamente cuando le dé el breakdown porque un beso con un tío fue la peor experiencia de su vida.
Do you know this picture of indigonite: http://indigonite.tumblr.com/post/125816692388/a-got-a-couple-of-solangelo-and-percabeth-requests
I like this picture so much and thought it would be a good idea to make one with my Percy Jackson Pairings.
First Picture: Aegidius Fernández is the Greek demigod son of Zeus and mortal Agyness Fernández, the daughter of Chione. His girlfriend is Athalia Kehkehwa, the the only daughter of Hypnos and the mortal Cheyenne Kehkehwa.
Second Picture: Dante Rezo di Loreto is a greek demigod son of Athena and mortal Ireneus Renzo di Loreto. He is called Dan or Ren, because he hates his italian name. And Rían Kennway is a greek demigod daughter of Aphrodite and the mortal Sylvain Kennway.
Third Picture: Esra Deshayes is the roman demigod daughter of Trivia, the roman form of Hecate. And her boyfriend is Zane Chevalier, the greek demigod son of Thanatos, and therefore his only son.
Well I say hold on Keep your eyes on that horizon Maybe we’ll see a new day rising If you keep a little hope alive and One light shining
Last Goodbye - The Wailin’ Jennys
But the fault lines were there, so how much should we care we’re broken in two from the day we are born But you’ll not hear any more of this said You’re singing a song that’s been stuck in your head You say, I’ll tell you how we’ll both make it through to the end
Do you have any favorite Tolkien heroines??
Strap in, Anon, here’s the list:
Eowyn and Arwen from LotR, of course, and Lobeila Sacksville-Baggins. From the Silmarillion - Lúthien, Indis, Elwing, Andreth, Melian, Finduilas, Nerdanel, honorable mentions for Morwen and Rían, Nienor, Nellas, Idril, Galadriel, Haleth, Aredhel, then canonical ghosts I’ve made into beloved OCs like Ingwë’s wife Ravennë, Elros’s wife Bortë and all the women of the People of Bór, Ilsë, Faelindis and Indomunië and Aereth...
I tend to like the majority of female characters, unless gross fandom misogyny and pitting two females characters against each other leads to demonizing my favorite, then i tend to get a bad taste about the ‘superior’ female character as a sort of unfortunate backwash with those fans. Indis was my first favorite, and I was/am disgusted at how nasty she was treated when I entering the Silm fandom on tumblr, which meant my ambivalence towards Míriel took a long time to recover.
~~~
STEWARDS OF GONDOR
Are you ready for a bajillion names reused from the First Age?! The Stewards loooved to name their kids after First Age heroes - and I decided that the ladies shouldn’t get left out of that tradition either, so I scoured the family trees of the Three Houses of the Edain for some names to give their wives and daughters :)
Astorion ft. Astorion (OC), Húrin of Emyn Arnen, Idril of Emyn Arnen (OC) Though Astorion himself is an OC, everything about the appointment of the first Steward is canon or strongly implied by canon. The rules surrounding who could be Steward are also canon, though the exact circumstances of how they came about are my headcanon. Húrin of Emyn Arnen was indeed Minardil’s steward, and the stewards were chosen from his House after this, but the details about his role in these two succession crises are all headcanon. The House of Húrin was related to Anárion, though this relation being through one of his daughters is speculation on my part. See the linked Kings for details about the canonicity of their stories.
Pelendur ft. Pelendur, Meleth of Gondor (OC), Vorondil, Anwariel (OC), Mardil Voronwë The details of Pelendur’s friendship with Eärnil, and Eärnil’s ambitions toward royalty, are my headcanon; check out Eärnil’s edit for more on that. The conflict between Eärnil and Arvedui is canon, as is Pelendur’s influence in choosing which would become King. Vorondil’s hunting of the Kine of Araw and making of the Horn of Gondor is canon, though I made up the bit about it being part of a matched pair.
Mardil Voronwë ft. Mardil Voronwë, Anoriel (OC), Eradan, Gilwen of Gondor (OC), Herion, Cadwareth (OC), Belegorn, Lossendil (OC) Mardil’s ascension to power is canon, but the details of Eärnur’s demise, while canon, have been embellished (see his edit for more info on that). Mardil’s work on the calendar is canon, but his wife’s influence on its creation is headcanon. Everything about Eradan, Herion, and Belegorn is headcanon.
Húrin I ft. Húrin I, Beril of Gondor (OC), Niënor of Gondor (OC), Urwen of Gondor (OC), Túrin I All of this is headcanon; we have practically no information about Húrin I save that he had two daughters before Túrin I.
Túrin I ft. Túrin I, Andreth of Gondor (OC), Lalaith of Gondor (OC), Nellas of Gondor (OC), Níniel of Gondor (OC), Meldis of Gondor (OC), Hador of Gondor All we know about Túrin I is that he had “several daughters” with his first wife, and was the first (and only) leader of Gondor to take a second wife, with whom he had a son. Since Hador was born a year after Túrin became Steward, I think it’s reasonable to assume he had to wait ’til he was in charge to change the law to allow him to remarry, but that’s not canon. All other details are headcanon. Sorry for making him a massive dick. Túrin Turambar deserves better than being remembered like this; I’ll try to make up for it when I get to Túrin II.
Hador ft. Hador of Gondor, Maerion (OC), Barahir of Gondor, Taweneth (OC), Dior of Gondor, Rían of Gondor, Bellmund (OC), Denethor I Hador did canonically add a leap day to the calendar, and he was also the last Steward to have the “lifespan of a full Dúnadan.” Dior canonically had no children and was succeeded by his nephew. I made up literally everything else here. I’m baffled by the decision of Rían to name her son after an Avarin king when all the other names in her family that were taken from the First Age are from the Edain and the occasional Noldor or Sindar royal; there’s no reason why she would have picked that name, so I tried to give her one here.
Denethor I ft. Denethor I, Felucaliel (OC), Lalwen of Gondor (OC), Emeldir of Gondor (OC), Steward Boromir Denethor canonically had two daughters before Boromir; I changed one to be nonbinary. It was also during his rule that the Watchful Peace ended. Everything else is headcanon.
Steward Boromir ft. Steward Boromir, Amathael (OC), Círion, Hirwen of Gondor (OC), Hallas, Thalieth (OC), Húrin II, Beldis of Gondor (OC) Boromir did canonically do all that fighting, though we know nothing about his wife and sibling fighting with him; his decline after receiving a Morgul wound is also canon. Almost all of Círion’s story is canon. Hallas did indeed come up with the names “Rohan” and “Rohirrim.” Everything else is headcanon.
Belecthor I ft. Belecthor I, Glóredhel of Gondor (OC), Orodreth of Gondor, Morwen of Gondor It’s canon that the Corsairs reared their heads again in this time, but we don’t know of any major battles so I decided a stalemate made sense here. Everything else is headcanon.
Orodreth ft. Orodreth of Gondor, Beleth of Gondor (OC), Ecthelion I The only canon thing here is that Ecthelion did rebuild the White Tower. Also, you know I’m gonna make all the childless Stewards gay and/or aspec :p
Morwen ft. Morwen of Gondor, Dammoron (OC), Adanel of Gondor (OC), Faeleth (OC), Egalmoth of Gondor All of this is headcanon, except that Morwen was canonically the grandmother of Egalmoth.
Egalmoth ft. Eglamoth of Gondor, Hareth of Gondor (OC), Beren of Gondor, Gildis of Gondor (OC), Steward Beregond, Bregil of Gondor (OC), Belecthor II, Thúliel (OC), Thorondir, Helheth (OC), Túrin II, Eregil (OC), Turgon of Gondor, Mírdholen (OC) As usual, everything with the women in this edit is headcanon. The wars with the Dunlendings, Corsairs, orcs, etc. are all canon, as is Saruman’s appearance in the narrative. The recovery period after the war has been greatly embellished; everything about Belecthor II and Thorondir is headcanon except for their lifespans and the death of the White Tree (and Belecthor being an only child, weirdly enough that’s specifically noted in canon lol), though I made up the reasoning behind Thorondir’s declaration. Túrin I’s deeds are all canon, though with the exception of the Rohirrim the supporting cast’s involvement is mostly my headcanon. Nothing significant happened during Turgon’s rule except for Sauron’s declaration; his reaction to that event is headcanon.
Ecthelion II ft. Ecthelion II, Narwiel (OC), Denethor II, Taeneth (OC), Beniloth (OC) Everything about Ecthelion and Thorongil/Aragorn is canon (and leaves me wondering if they fucked...) Ecthelion canonically had two unnamed daughters. Taeneth and Beniloth are Sindarin names I adapted from the Quenya “Terenis” and “Vanyalos” given to them in LOTRO; I also poached their backstories from LOTRO. (Disclaimer that I haven’t played the game, I’m getting this all from Tolkien Gateway.)
Denethor II ft. Denethor II, Finduilas of Dol Amroth, Boromir, Faramir This is pretty much all canon, though details have been embellished here and there.
Faramir ft. Faramir, Éowyn, Elboron, Rohiril (OC), Silevegil (OC), Barahir of Ithlien All of this is canon, though it’s been slightly condensed, up until the details about Faramir and Éowyn’s descendants. It is canon that Barahir wrote the Tale of Aragorn and Arwen, but we don’t know if he was the son of Elboron or of some unknown sibling of Elboron. I ship Elboron and Eldarion, so I chose to go with the latter possibility :)
