So I imagine that this wasn't done intentionally but I love the basic visual symbolism at the start vs the end of the Makeb expansion that the Wrath and Marr have. Also love the little arc that you can go through regarding your relationship with Marr.

When Marr first contacts you, he very clearly doesn't trust you and wants to see just how reasonable you may be when the interests of the Empire are at stake.

"If you are content to stand unchallenged, then so be it. But I would test your strength for the Empire's survival."

You are also seated while he is looking down on you and issuing his challenge. But then come the end you are both upright and even in some scenes eye level with each other, showing the the Wrath has taken a stand and chosen to do so alongside the Dark Councilor.

"Too many Sith, my old Master among them, have vied for power against the interests of the Empire. Too many Moffs have tolerated incompetence. The Empire must change and if we must stand on the precipice of death to do so, so be it."

"We stand as one."

IDK I just really enjoyed the progression from tentative allies that very clearly are not on the same page to standing together as one, determined to defend their people and civilization from all threats even if it means saving the Empire from itself.

Although Sith aren't usually her thing, I could definitely see Bas'riish being attracted to Amarra. I see the two of them running into eachother while after the same gangster or rogue Sith or maybe someone working for Baras. Once Bas'riish realized that Amarra wasn't going to fuck with whatever she had going on, she'd smile, walk up to her sultrily and say "Awww, you're just a softie, then, huh?" and give her a kiss on the cheek.

If Amarra responded positively, then Bas would smile, and continue with a flurry of light caresses. She'd whisper to the "mighty Wrath" that if she ever wanted to defect or go independent, to give her a call.

"I'll make it worth you're while." she'd wink.

Then she'd give a quick kiss goodbye, and depart.

That's how she rolls.

Anyway here is a quick picrew peek at Amarra of House Kine (because the DA character creator was not cooperating with me)

The Kines are an old Tevinter family of the Leatan class. While they have never held a position in the Upper House of the Imperial Senate, the Kines are regularly elected into the Lower House and see to the actual running and implementation of laws in the Imperium. This has allowed the family to form many subtle yet strong connections and relationships within the military, circles and even the dwarven Ambassadoria. They may not be the most powerful family in the Imperium but they do have connections and favors that they can call in from across the nation.

For an OC interaction thing (I know you haven't reblogged that meme recently but Jost is on my mind right now, sorry) How would Jost feel about the Kine sisters joining Rien's Alliance as allies?

I like this question actually because it requires some context discussion. However, to simply answer the question “How would Jost feel...?“; Cautious, but curious and more open to acceptance than Aidrien.

A detailed thought process below, cut because it’s long and wordy.

Jost, I feel, has a pretty interesting relationship with The Sith Order and practitioners of The Dark Side. On the one hand; he has seen a lot of the bad that Sith and Dark Sider can and often will do. Yet he also is someone who had the majority of their formative years surrounded by a willingness to accept them and work with them.  From 14 he was exposed to Sith philosophy through Scourge (not something that Kira nor Rien were happy about particularly). He saw Malgus’s vision of the future first hand on Ilum. He then met Lana Beniko about 2/3 years after. Then within weeks of meeting her, found himself actively working and collaborating with Sith and Imperials on Yavin 4.  Even prior to joining The Alliance, he has been exposed to the ideas and beliefs of The Sith and The Dark Side. While he isn’t inclined to agree, he never had the relationship with The Sith and Dark Side that either Kira or Rien had. Both of whom held very strong dislike, even hatred for those groups because of past experiences with them. At worst, Jost could only saw that seeing Corellia in flames was difficult for him, but even that wasn’t the biggest loss to him as it was his homeworld but not his home. Yet, Kira and Rien also help to fuel his sense of acceptance of other points of view as both try to unlearn the wild aggression that arose from their respective trauma. So while they may not be the best examples of following this teaching, they did try to teach Jost to not fall into the same pitfalls they did.

So to relate that to the Kine sisters, I think Jost is way more primed to be able to accept their arrival, though I think it would be tense at first as he is still a product of the Jedi teachings. I do think he would connect better with Ryscha because of her past as a Jedi. He would also be curious of her relationship to The Jedi in the present day, as he becomes something of a gray Jedi/Jedi maverick  himself. It would probably take him a bit more time to engage with Amarra but I think if he had a pre-established connection with Ryscha, I could see him warming up to her even faster.

I did research therefore I can write! And I'll still keep it between Mirage, Sylvas and Graz'zt-- so it's a bit easier.

Mirage, she's a creature of chaos, and I have a feeling she'd probably consider Amarra boring at first. Respect her and her abilities, but probably wouldn't socialize much, and from what I read, it might be a mutual feeling. Especially considering Mirage's recent taste for power-plays. Unless some academic discussion happened or about lightsaber techniques.

Sylvas might actually be smart enough to not want to approach, because if there's any way those two would meet it would be at some social function. Probably try to engage but fail miserably or get discouraged fast. But they can admire her all the same.

Graz'zt would probably have the best shot here, I wouldn't be suprised if he actually had some inkling about her heritage and be try to make a connection-- also he can always admire someone powerful enough to make their own mark on the Empire. Definitely would try to engage her in conversation about things they have in common-- in this case I'd say well-being of the Empire, lightsaber techniques and maybe eventually family and sith tradition. He has most tact from the bunch after all.

The most OP thing that Amarra and Ryscha did was pull a whole moon down on themselves to end a war by destroying a planet controlled by Yuuzhan Vong (my canon gets weird and self indulgent lol)

Hmm, most OP thing one of mine has ever done...

Synnda and Qizulth were paired up to take down the Alderaan Star Fortress together. They were captured once but escaped, but it was when they faced the Exarch that is was like “holy shit, dude.”

You know the arena area where you fight the Exarchs at the end? Synnda almost effortlessly used the Force to make that whole damn area collapse under them, more or less crumpling it into a ball around the Exarch so she was trapped by beams and broken glass, and definitely partially crushed by that alone. He and Key barely made it off, while the entire platform and Exarch both plummeted into the reactor below.

Let’s just say they had the easiest time with their Exarch than the other teams because of Synnda.

I'm curious how Amarra Kine would be viewed by your OCs

Amarra I think would work best with Iphedarius, my Wrath/Outlander from another timeline. They have a similar sense of wanting to better the Empire and thinking that the people in charge are not the ones to do it, and could probably unite over that shared goal. Though Iph is a power-grabber and pretty ruthless and would probably end up stabbing Amarra in the back along the way just in case of loose ends, and then they’d duel and it would just go on forever because they’re both very badass fighters. 

She’d probably do well with Jayma. Jayma is happy to take the money and though she works a lot for the Empire, she hates when people see her as the dark council’s tool - so she’d be well up for any chances Amarra gives her to stick it to them. 

Ticcer would hate her because he has automatic Sith hate, but if he met her he would just run away in fear lmao

Amarra Kine became an unofficial combat instructor once the Alliance was set up. The Mandalorians set up a dueling ring on Odessen and Amarra became the long standing champion of the ring. After finishing a match, she would always give instruction and advice to her opponent so that they could learn and improve. - OC fact for an OC fact

That is so cool! I love that she doesn’t boast about it or that she does everything to keep her place as champion of the ring but that she instead chooses to help others. I can imagine that creates an entire atmosphere of people helping each other instead of only focussing on being the best.

Lidian never thought she would be one to teach others, it just never felt right for her. But one day she watched a Jedi Master teach stealth techniques to a beginners class and she immediately wanted to jump in and add the things she had learned from her own experience. So when later she was asked to give a few classes to older padawans who wanted to specialise in stealth she didn’t hesitate at all.

A day late for Valentine's day but a little 500 word piece about my Sith Warrior being in love

Amarra Kine, Sith Lord and Wrath of the Empire rolled over on her bed, turning her gaze from the plain grey walls of her ship’s personal quarters to the sleeping woman beside her.

Unlike her quarters, the former Cipher Twenty appeared to be anything but plain to Amarra’s eyes. Even mostly covered by the bed sheets, everything that Amarra could see of Amélie was breathtaking.

Her upper back was covered with beautiful toned muscle, a testament to her strength and physical prowess as one of the Empire’s finest warriors. Indeed, Amarra had fought alongside Sith that could never hope to be even half the warrior that her Cipher was. Even now, she still felt such a thrill whenever they entered battle together, knowing that Amélie could not only keep up with her but also compliment her martial abilities.

Though her void black hair hid most of it, from her position Amarra could just make out the edges of the cybernetic implants that Amélie possessed. Where Amarra possessed the Force as an innate ally, Amélie had some of the most advanced technology in the Empire at her disposal. She was easily able to slice into systems remotely, giving Amarra details of battlefields and operations that she would otherwise never have access to. Such information had on more than one occasion been the difference between victory and defeat for Amarra and her crew.

Not wanting to wake the beautiful warrior before her, Amarra carefully inched forward, wrapping an arm around Amélie’s waist and carefully pressing their bodies together.

Taking a deep breath, she could just detect the faint scent of Tibanna gas coming from her Cipher’s hair, a leftover from the battle that they had recently returned from. Amélie’s history with the Imperial Sniper Corps made her a deadly shot, able to fell Jedi and even Sith with her skills and abilities. To be here now with such a deadly woman, someone more than capable of getting under her own defenses was exhilarating and made her heart, which she had long ago believed to have hardened over, hammer like an old Sith war-drum.

It was hard to believe that in the Empire of all places, Amarra had managed to find someone that she could trust not only in battle but also with her heart.

It was dangerous.

She knew that her position as Wrath meant that those Sith and non-Sith with political minds would try to use her Cipher against her. She knew that Amélie herself could harm her in ways that no other person in the galaxy could ever hope to. She knew that this made her vulnerable.

But she realized with both an uncomfortable lurch to her stomach and a soaring heart that she did not care.

This was the happiest she had ever been since she was a girl and she had a home and family.

And after years of selfless service to the Empire, did she not deserve to be a little selfish?

“I love you, Amélie Biava.”

I have fallen so hard for my girl Amarra. She is a force for political change yet has no vision for the future. She is one of the most powerful individuals in the empire yet has no ambition for personal power. She loves her family more than anything and yet she is completely alone in the empire. She is the deadliest warrior in the galaxy yet she wants peace for herself and her people. She is a mess of contradictions and I love her for it.

Lana is my OC Kelsa Kine's youngest child. Lana was named after Kelsa's mother Lana Beniko.

When I made the decision to give SWTOR another chance at the start of the pandemic, I made Ryscha. She began as a semi-self insert before I just started making my Kine Family of OCs and she became her own person. (I did have two previous SWTOR characters that I made in like 2012 but I never really developed them into actual characters)

meanest oc - Avaraxi Dagan

My mad scientist OC that will happily vivisect anyone if it gets them more usable data points. They did vivisect and ran numerous experiments on Kelsa Kine, even harvesting some of her eggs for later which is how Lana Kine and her siblings came to be.

Also diversity win! The mad scientist that's running unethical experiments on you is non-binary!

softest oc - Bryala Kine

All Bryala wants in life is to be a good person and not disappoint those closest to her. And if she can help others along the way then she'll happily do so.

most aloof/standoffish oc - Keras'eren'naru

She is a Chiss that believes in Chiss supremacy. Everyone else is beneath her and her people.

dumbest (affectionate) oc - Inara Almari

She spent her early young adult life raiding dangerous tombs and ruins on the off chance that there might be ancient knowledge she can study. She will also forget about lab safety procedures if she gets too carried away while running experiments. Because she focuses so much on her work she was captured by Zakuulan forces on three separate occasions and all three times resulted in her being rescued by Ryscha Kine who eventually took her on as an apprentice. Inara might have also accidentally infected Ryscha with the rakghoul plague while developing a vaccine. Whoops sorry Master!

smartest oc - Serra Kine

I mean she helped develop the refined Children of the Emperor procedures for Vitiate. Was trusted to develop a Children of the Emperor 2.0 generation using children actually sired by the Voice of the Emperor. While doing all this successful force experimentation, she also planed out a coup against Vitiate (which while unsuccessful in her life was more or less carried out by her daughters Amarra and Ryscha). She also discovered Nathema on her own and managed to negotiate an alliance with the spirits of Marka Ragnos, Naga Sadow, Tulak Hord and Exar Kun on Yavin IV to help her take down Vitiate.

horniest oc - Élise Kine and Braken Rist

This married couple enjoy dominating the other nobles of Alderaan in their spare time and will also happily engage in the whole sleep with a target before killing them assassination special. They usually go at it again with each other after said assassinations too.

Going to look at the little family unit that is Amarra, Amélie and Élise for this one.

Amarra is a simple lady and doesn't really do a lot of extravagant or sexy costumes. But I can totally see her dressing up like her childhood hero, Tulak Hord, when she and Amélie take Élise out for trick or treating. Lol might get some raised eyebrows from other Alliance folks for that or nods of approval if she is still in the Empire as that would definitely be an Imperial approved costume.

Amélie I think would have a bit more fun with it and probably get an animal costume. Maybe something like a Terentatek so she can jump out and scare kids a bit. She definitely jump scared her sister in law Ryscha with the costume.

Élise as a kid could definitely be a Princess of some sort. If not that then a cute animal costume of a Tuk'ata or some other culturally Sith creature.

Now teenage Élise would definitely do a joke one year and not dress any differently than she usually does and say "I'm an agent of Imperial Intelligence, we look just like everyone else." Amélie (former Cipher Twenty) would find that absolutely hilarious.
