Had a dream last night that Etho decided to interject his next Hermitcraft episodes with a mini vlog about what he does in a day. All of it was filmed pointing away from him so he never face revealed.

But, he did reveal that he lived in Brightview Ontario (nonexistent, looked it up when I woke up) and lived in a ‘rich’ farming community. Basically the reason he gives the impression that he lives in the middle of nowhere is that in the winter Brightview has a population of 3 but in the summer over 2000 rich people move in and live their fake ‘farm life’ dreams.

It turned out that his dads business was just maintaining these peoples properties while they were away in the colder months and now Etho begrudgingly does the same.

So, new Ishmael Id, and thus new uptie dialogue. this ones pretty important as it vaguely refers to Catherine!

the important thing is "that child" that the narrator refers to. and since the narrator refers to anyone with an id as a child (except for the times it doesn't lol) it can be assumed that there will be a Cathy ID. which yeah obviously duh it'd sell gangbusters amounts of moo la, but there's a more interesting bit here which is who is supposed to GET the ID.

There's only 2 female sinners left to get it, that being Rodion and Don, as Outis and Faust are Wuthering butlers as well as Nelly and Ishmael being Edgar butlers. so, if assuming they wish to keep Heath straight would leave just those two, though there is of course the possibility that they do a Sunshower Heathcliff thing again and not care about genders and give it to Hong Lu who would honestly fit pretty well. I suppose with who it comes down to, I think Hong Lu would fit the best as Cathy, though I honestly kinda really enjoy it being don, weirdly enough. Even if it doesn't fit very well i still think it'd be really cute to see a ghost Don floating around.

Cooper isn't just named after Todd Howard, he's named after Gary Cooper, star of stage & screen. Most famously of the film High Noon, where he plays a character who must do the right thing, even if it destroys his life & marriage & the theme song goes "do not forsake me, oh my darling."

The song lyrics also say "Oh, to be torn twixt love and duty." Which is the core of Cooper and Barb's tragedy imo. Love is the death of duty and duty is the death of love (to paraphrase GRRM).

Cooper's feeling of moral duty toward others would lead him to just trying to have some good time on a ranch with Janey and Barb before the end. And Barb's love for her little girl means she'll burn down her sense of duty to others (even though she has a conscience, unlike Bud and Hank) to save her.

It's meant to be an impossible situation because they both feel love and duty. And neither route, in being forced to choose between the two, is a good one.

The kid is naïve, cocky, strong in the weirdest ways that don't make sense-

And he's such a busybody! Always helping, always jumping into things, and always saying that he's definitely not trying to be a hero.

It's annoying.

It's so annoying.

For instance, Phantom got called in by the JL for an all-hands-on-deck situation right before a super important test. Phantom accepted the call.

But the JL had dealt with threats like this before, a million times-there was literally no need to answer the call.

Yet the little dumbass had.

And now Dan was at home, staying on the other side of the room away from Vlad, and watching the fight on TV.

Phantom takes a hit. Then another. Then another.

Good; he'll learn not to jump when the JL says jump, then.

Phantom goes down, disappears behind some rubble.

Dan doesn't care. He doesn't. Let the kid learn a lesson.

Phantom doesn't get up.

Just like Jazz didn't get up.

Or Sam, or Tucker, or his mom or his dad-

Dan sees red.

He barely hears Vlad as he rips a portal to the fight and steps out, in his own ghost form, and decks the bad guy-some demon named Trigun or whatever, fucking weeb-so hard he knocks the guy back.

The fight pauses.

"You touched the twerp," Dan growls, voice distorting and allowing his powers to manifest at full capacity for the first time in years, "So you get to lose your head."
