last song I listened to: Oh god. Just listened to The Sailor Song by Autoheart on the way to school because it's on one of my OC playlists. I quite like Autoheart, I like Jody's voice and the angsty queer overtones.

currently reading: Very slowly making my way through Harrow the Ninth. I love it so much, just don't have a ton of time to read these days... But this book feels very made for me, with the blood and bones and horrible unreliable narration and insanity. Tamsyn Muir's prose also hits such a great balance of technical and casual, I really admire it.

currently watching: I just started both Dungeon Meshi and Black Sails, and I'm enjoying them both. I feel like I hardly know what's going on enough to really commentate on either of them yet, but having fun.

currently obsessed with: It's the OCs. This is the unifying factor in my taste in media these days. I really love not just pulling inspiration but also seeing how different writers and artists spin similar themes to what I'm working with. I haven't been super consistent in posting my art recently, but my art blog @saturns-rings-robins-wings is where the bulk of my OC lore and stuff goes. I also just convinced my mom to start playing my favorite Fire Emblem game, FE Echoes, hahaha. It's been a couple years since I played it for the first time, so I'm really excited to get back into that world again. The art and writing and music are all really stunning, it was hugely influential for me for a good while there.

No but can we talk about what it means that after the Two Rivers group had that mini fallout and Nynaeve was feeling overwhelmed by it all, she stalked tracked Lan as someone she wanted to be spend her last night with. Nope.I’ve p much been pan ace since I learned the labels, I added Polyamory after reflection but I’m a pretty constant person and I’ve always been mulling around how not “normal” I’ve been since I was 10.

‘Girlfriend’ but I take nicknames too, ‘datemate’ is fun as well.

Androgynous mostly, I’m a fat poor person so I don’t have full access to present as I want, I do have a few lucky feminine pieces but yeah.

Hello! I was wondering what you know about Humane Education? Is it...good? Or PETA nonsense? Because the descriptions I’ve seen look really great, combining different things I care about a lot, but I can definitely see the possibility of it being pseudo-science animals rights-type stuff. I just hope it isn’t 😅

I’d not heard of it before but a cursory reading of it seems to be the exact kind of education outreach I spent my childhood/teenage years learning about via a local wildlife park. It certainly SOUNDS great but possibly needs more research.

EDIT: okay the board of directors/advisory council on the humane education coalition website seem to mostly have actual legit qualifications in animal and veterinary science. much talk of animal welfare. I have not seen a single mention of animal RIGHTS anywhere, but much talk of both human rights and animal welfare. I only say ‘mostly’ because some of them are dead links to no-longer-existing linkedin profiles but every one that I was able to check seemed decent.

So my gut says it’s actually as great as it looks. :)
