Drew some Dungeons and Dragons NPCs from the basis campaign "Dragon of Icespire Peak" that my players have encountert by now. Harbin Wester is the mayor of the village of Phandalin, he is a useless, opportunistic coward, in short a politician. He is also the questgiver of the campaign. Linene Graywind is the weapons and armour dealer in the village. Elmar Barthen is the Trader of supplies in the village. Ander and Thistle are the assistants of Elmar. Their race and gender and how they look like is not described in the campaign bok, so I decided to describe them as a female halfelf and a very buff halfling. The characters belong to Wizards of the Coast, thisis merely my interpretation of them.

Since I’ve been on about Thistle and Marcille’s similarities lately HERE’S THE MOST IMPORTANT ONE: They have the same taste in video games (simulation games) but opposite styles of play. Marcille makes sure everything is nice and balanced and ✨Aesthetic✨ while casually committing atrocities against NPCs whenever she’s curious about what would happen or to get a better result or whatever. Thistle on the other hand plays like a utilitarian maniac with hyperoptimized setups that look like shit BUT absolutely refuses to even make the NPCs sad bc he feels bad and wants them to be happy. Do you see my vision.

Scratch is one of the three warlocks for which BINX is a patron.
Why is he the NPC of All Time?
"You don't know Scratch???"
He's one of BINX's warlocks, and is also dating Gwyndolin Thistle-hop in the Material Plane. He called them mid-combat to ask her how to "do a hit to" an Invisible Stalker but stopped to compliment their outfit first (as is his right).

To those who are having trouble creating their own character, or would like to have a character with some involvement in the loner groups, we have made six adoptables for potential members! Three adoptables will go to the Wayfarers, a group of spiritual clan descendants bound for MountainClan. Three more will be a part of the Colony, a group of revolutionaries heading to TimberClan.
Adoptable applications will be open from Sunday, May 28th, 2023 until 11:59pm MST on Wednesday, June 7th, 2023. Original character applications will close on Sunday, June 11th for those that did not make the adoptable opening and would still like to apply.
You may apply for adoptable applications, general applications, or both. Each person is limited to applying for one original character and one adoptable, so choose wisely.

Oh also, just a little disclaimer for all my new PTN fans regarding the recent CN sinner news.
No, I will not be writing for Thistle, nor accepting thirsts about her. Thistle first appeared as an NPC in the Flora Unfurl event, and was described as someone who is the same age as Christina (a sinner who I believe is a teenager)
So, I don’t write for Thistle and will be adding her to the list of female characters I don’t write for. Her and Christina can just be baby gays together and hold hands :)

oh boy, underhill is my original dnd character hyperfixation. my og boy!! i love him soooo much it makes me look stupid. i don't remember what i've said before or what you've seen, so please feel free to ask about anything you're curious of!
his real name is benjamin thistle and he was raised by gnome parents (they're very similar to gorgug's parents from dimension 20 fantasy high). his biological tiefling dad died a long time ago and his drow mom is potentially still alive somewhere adventuring, but that's a recent discovery and we're not sure! his dad actually used to adventure with our party's most beloved npc, our best wizard dad alehandro. so he kind of views underhill as a son as well.
underhill had a really great childhood in a super wholesome village filled with all kinds of different peoples and cultures and is such a good boy who knows carpentry and tinkering and loves animals. everything was awesome! and eventually these rich businessmen from a nearby city came looking to buy his parents inventions, offering just an ungodly amount of money, but they wanted to use them basically just to exploit people. so his parents declined and then a lot of problems and a big attack on the village happened. underhill was pretty young but old enough to understand he hated rich assholes.
when he got older and wiser enough to go adventuring himself, he met thieves and pulled jobs with them, targetting mansions and huge businesses, stuff like that. he gained a reputation and one of his friends introduced him to anderson, who was already a pretty big time crime lord just not quite to the extent he is now. they hit it off right away and at this point have been married for like 25 years but underhill left for the last decade because anderson had sort of become what he swore he wouldn't. a rich asshole exploiting others with no moral compass. they've recently reconnected and it's been revealed that anderson's been building a town for other small time criminals and those who feel like they don't belong elsewhere or who can't afford to survive elsewhere.
anyway uhhh i'm so bad at just talking about my characters i never know what's relevant or interesting to other people and i don't want to be annoying! and everything about my characters starts sounding so boring when i try to type it out to someone else lmao.
basically underhill is a good fucking boy with a yeehaw accent who has the wisdom and charisma of a fucking god and the intelligence of a worm. he's uneducated and definitely not booksmart, but he's SO incredible smart in his own way i'm in love w him. he's soooo much fun to play because he will always try something once no matter what, he's always down to do any wild crazy thing, and he has his own set of very specific morals but doesn't expect others to follow suit.

Forest Temple Keeper - CR4 Fey Shaman
A Gathlain NPC based on Saria from Ocarina of Time.

Gathlain always seemed a lot like Kokiri to me, just with wings.  They’re forest fey who look like children their whole lives, and even grow from seeds that fall from a great tree.  The concept behind this NPC is a gathlain who serves as the guardian of a nature temple deep in the forest.  The NPC isn’t particularly combat-adept, but its ability to fly helps it find cover in the trees, and it is friends with many of the woodland animals and fey creatures in the surrounding forest.
Those forest creatures are likely to come to the forest temple keeper’s aid in battle, and will need to if you intend to use it as an enemy encounter.  The forest temple keeper’s ability to speak with trees might inform it when creatures have entered the forest or temple, giving it a chance at a surprise round.  It uses smoke bullets, thunderstones, tanglefoot bags, and support spells to disable enemies and buff allies.  Without help, this creature and its familiar are more like CR 3.  It’s perhaps better suited as a friendly NPC who guides the players and can heal them if needed.
This NPC has an improved familiar, a sprite with a couple of tiny wands.  Aside from yelling “Hey! Listen!” and “Watch out!”, the sprite flies around the battlefield and attempts to use the wands to heal allies or trip enemies.  Keep in mind that its reach is so bad that it has to share a space with someone in order to heal them, and it only has a 40% chance of successfully using either wand.  It tries to heal allies if it can do so without entering melee; otherwise it uses the wand of Stumble Gap.
The forest temple keeper has Tailwind pre-cast on its entire party (including its familiar), pointed in whatever direction makes it easier for them to get away from enemies.  This NPC gains proficiency with longbows from a trait, which it buys off with the Lonely drawback.

SPECIAL ABILITIES
Thistle Arrows (Ex) A forest temple keeper fires thistle arrows from its longbow.  These arrows deal normal damage but then become embedded in the wound and deal an additional 1 point of damage each round for 1d6 rounds from their irritating sap.  Creatures immune to poison are immune to this extra damage.  A creature can remove an embedded thistle arrow as a move action without provoking attacks of opportunity, but doing so deals an additional 1d3 points of damage as the thorny barbs are pulled free.  A DC 12 Heal check (made as a standard action) can pull free a thistle arrow’s head without dealing any additional damage.
Smoke Bullets (Ex) A forest temple keeper fires smoke bullets from its sling.  Smoke bullets require only a successful touch attack to release the smoke.  When they strike a target, they burst, releasing a cloud of noxious gas that requires the creature struck to attempt a DC 13 Fortitude save.  If the save fails, the target is nauseated for 2 rounds.
Spellsink Chainmail (Su) A forest temple keeper wears a magical suit of spellsink chainmail.  A suit of armor or a shield with this ability can absorb and neutralize magical effects, albeit on a limited basis.  Once per day as an immediate action, the forest temple keeper can command the armor to absorb a magical ability created by a magic item, a spell, or a spell-like ability that specifically targets only the forest temple keeper.  The armor cannot absorb spells, spell-like abilities, or item effects that target an area or multiple targets.  The attacker creating the magical effect to be absorbed must succeed at a DC 14 Will saving throw or the armor absorbs and neutralizes the effect.
Monstrous Insight (Su) Three times per day, a forest temple keeper can identify a creature and gain insight into its strengths and weaknesses.  As a standard action, the forest temple keeper can attempt a Knowledge skill check to identify a creature and its abilities (using the appropriate skill for the monster’s type) with a +5 insight bonus.  Whether or not the check is successful, the forest temple keeper also gains a +2 insight bonus for 1 minute on attack rolls made against that creature and a +2 insight bonus to AC against attacks made by that creature.  These bonuses last for 1 minute.
Swamp’s Grasp (Su) As a standard action, a forest temple keeper can summon an entangling quagmire to fill an area.  Five 10-foot squares within 90 feet become difficult terrain for 7 rounds.  If the shaman uses this hex again before the duration of the previous use has expired, the effects of the previous use of this hex end immediately.
Whispering Leaves (Su) Whenever the forest temple keeper is within 10 feet of a tree or undergrowth, it can cast Whispering Wind as a spell-like ability (caster level 5).  The targeted area must also contain trees or undergrowth, which relay the message in a gentle, rustling voice.

SPECIAL ABILITIES
Luminous (Su) A sprite naturally sheds light equal to that provided by a torch.  A sprite can control the color and intensity of the light as a swift action, reducing it to the dimness of a candle or even extinguishing its luminosity entirely if it wishes.
Spirit Animal Camoflauge (Su) The forest temple guardian’s sprite spirit familiar looks like a wooden figurine or a vaguely fairy-shaped tree branch when it is motionless.  The spirit familiar gains freeze as per the universal monster rule.  The spirit familiar can take 20 on its Stealth check to hide in plain sight as this kind of inanimate object.
Improved Evasion (Ex) When subjected to an attack that normally allows a Reflex saving throw for half damage, a familiar takes no damage if it makes a successful saving throw and half damage even if the saving throw fails.
Familiar Alertness (Ex) While its spirit familiar is within arm’s reach, the forest temple guardian gains the Alertness feat.
Empathic Link (Ex) The forest temple guardian has an empathic link with its spirit familiar to a 1 mile distance.  The master can communicate empathically with the familiar, but cannot see through its eyes.  Because of the link’s limited nature, only general emotions can be shared.  The master has the same connection to an item or place that his familiar does.
Speak with Master (Ex) When the forest temple guardian and its spirit familiar communicate verbally, they can choose to do in such a way that other creatures do not understand the communication without magical help.

It was a big disappointment when the quest images were made and I realized thistle would never be changing. The appeal of her was being a npc the community could nurture, influence, and watch grow and develop. She had so much potential. Trying to revive that idea would be a bad plan because of how little manpower they have now and the charm wearing off.
