Shoutout to my local used bookstore bc most of the Warrior Cats books (they always have a ton in stock, lmao) are under $5 each, paperbacks but in relatively great condition. As a kid I read the series through the library and now that I have some disposable income of my own I'd like to collect my faves to reread. I harp on the bad writing quality and stuff a lot but at the end of the day it's my favorite "comfort food" reading, yknow?

Used bookstores are amazing - I wish I had one close to where I live but unfortunately these types of things seem to be a dying breed

That’s a good idea - especially since that bookstore has a bunch of them at a nice price like you say. I agree- these books are a great comfort read despite whatever issues they may have, it’s just nice to slip into some battle cat drama for a bit

#I also first read all the books at a library #my school had most of them at the time #my parents got me all the main books and SEs until I fell out of the fandom (about 14/15?) #then when I got back into the fandom I collected all I had missed out on using a combination of my own and gift money #I decided to buy dotc shortly after my birthday and then I decided to catch up with avos at xmas a month later #now I have what I call the warrior cats budget in my spending plans lol #although since I don’t really buy things for myself I do tend to use any gift money to pre order at least one book #anonymous
